We traveled from burgaw, nc to Raleigh, nc to look at a new truck at one of the big dealers. They could not do anything, so we called Doug Henry in tarboro. Spoke to Brandon and he said he would see us in a couple hrs. Arrived got bottom line figures, Tobias appraised trade beat big mans offer by2200 dollars, bottom line, hemi powered, quad cab dodge in my driveway. Everybody was great, from sales, to financing. No pressure selling.

My truck buying experience was easy and no pressure. Jonathan Waters (sales manager) and Brandon Caudle (sales team) made us feel welcome, they went out of their way to find us extra savings from their already low no haggle price and even stayed open past their closing time. Since my wife and I would be driving from 2 1/2 hours away I called and spoke with Jonathan the day before to verify exactly what rebates and pricing I would be qualified for and assured to receive before we made the trip. True to their word they even found another direct rebate I was qualified for in the ford system that wasn't advertised and I wasn't aware of which saved me another $1000. Brandon was also extra nice, taking us for our test drive and getting everything necessary to complete the transaction done in a efficient and friendly way. I searched multiple dealerships and an area 300 miles from my residence and the price I paid for my 2016 F250 at Doug Henry in Tarboro was by far the best deal and a very easy transaction. 5 stars and both of these men are highly recommended.Charles (Vass, NC.)

Francisco Alfaro and the rest of the team were great. They got me a lower interest rate than I was originally pre approved for, and got me on the road in a 2015 Chrysler 200 within 3 hours of walking in the door. No hassle, and no return visits required. As a first time car buyer, this was a much better and much smoother process than I could of hoped for. All questions were answered and I felt they informed me on everything else I needed to know. All for the lowest price I could find listed anywhere. I definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

I contacted Doug Henry Ford about a month before I was ready to purchase my vehicle. I had an immediate response through email and a follow up phone call. When I was finally sure of which vehicle I wanted and knew they had it at their dealership I set up an appointment and drove the hour and a half to the dealership (worth the trip). I was met at the door by Lamar and we quickly got down to business. He never wasted my time or tried to sell me anything. He knew I was there for a specific vehicle and did not try to upsell me or push an add-on. The longest part about the process was the financing, I had brought my own but they claimed they could get a better deal. THEY DID! After their Finance Manager went back and forth with a few banks they were able to reduce my APR from 2.39 to 2.09, saving me a few hundred dollars in the long run. The price of the vehicle was exactly as advertised on their website and there was no additional charges for crazy add-ons like "nitrogen" for tires or "protective coating". Everyone was honest and polite. They did offer to buy my old beat up truck but it was not something it wasn't a price I was interested in, they understood and didn't pressure me in anyway. I had to leave in a hurry to make an appointment, knowing I lived an hour and a half away they offered to deliver my new truck at no charge. This was probably the best part of my experience, I was dreading having to drive home then come back the next day with my wife to pick up the truck. Instead I was able to go home and after dinner my new truck pulled into my driveway!

I bought my 2003 Ford Taurus brand new from Gray in May of 2003. I have always maintained it through Arthur in the service department and have always been very satisfied. On Saturday January 23 my husband decided that after 13 years and 298,400 miles I needed to get a new vehicle, but I think I could have gotten another 50,000 miles out of this wonderful car! Jay Coggins sat down with us and explained the dealership's no haggle, upfront and honest approach. I test drove a 2008 Focus and we agreed to purchase it. Then Jonathan Waters went to work on the financing but wasn't happy with the rates being offered. Jay then took us out to a 2014 Focus with only 40K on it. Jonathan then very quickly got us a great finance rate. Both guys were super with us. There's a reason we keep coming back to this dealership -- they employ people like Jay, Jonathan, Arthur (service), William (service) and Mary in the accounting office! I'll be back every 5,000 miles for my maintenance, and might even trade the Focus in for something else in 2029! We asked Jay if he likes working there, and his enthusiastic reply tells me he's probably the one that will handle the 2029 deal!

I purchased a new car from Doug Henry. They bragged about how people came from all over to buy from them and since I was a local customer they would take extra good care of me. Well I now drive to a dealer 45 minutes away for any service on my car when I could walk to their dealership. When I purchased my new Ford, they insisted I needed to do paper which took hours but they did not get the new car ready instead I had to come back the next day to pick up my car. While signing the paperwork the finance man tried repeatedly to get me to buy an $1,800 extended warranty. Even going so far as to tell me I must not understand how they work or I was just too cheap to pay the extra money. When asking other dealerships I found the warranty for less than $1,000 and the dealer admitted it was up to them how much they marked it up. Service was terrible. I had to leave my car there all day three times to have a simple problem fixed. Each time having to arrange other transportation to work only to be told they could not fix the problem. The fourth time I took it to a different dealer who corrected the issue while I waited. I recently purchased another new car from the second dealer and could not be happier with the service. Needless to say I will never go back to Doug Henry and warn people about my experience whenever possible.

I drove down from Ahoskie to Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro to look at the trucks they had available. Not only did they have the truck I was looking for they had the best prices! The staff is amazing, very helpful and are willing to do whatever they can to ensure you are happy with your purchase. Lee Grimsley was great, he was patient with us and did everything he could to get us the best deal possible. It took us a couple of days to close the deal but everyone as I said was extremely patient with us. I would most definitely recommend Lee and Doug Henry Ford to family and friends. My experience with Doug Henry Ford was outstanding. I was in contact with Larry for several days to set up a time to come in and test drive since I live about 2 hours away from the dealership. I got out of work late on the day of the test drive, but Larry and Joe were happy to stay an hour past their closing time so I could still go to the dealership. It's hard to find great customer service like that anymore. The used Ford I purchased from them was as great as it looked on their website - no hidden problems. It has been running great since the day I drove it off the lot. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to someone looking for a vehicle along with great customer service.

Very sincere and friendly personnel. Only dealership I contacted who offered vehicles of similar price, make, and year than the one i had inquired about. Lowest interest rate that any dealership had offered for a used vehicle, Once paperwork had been processed, vehicle was detailed and filled with gas. Followup after the sale from Jay has been excellent. After receiving a high price quote for a new 2013 F150 super Crew from another dealer I had a co-worker recommend Doug Henry. The entire sales team and finance process was excellent. The 1st price quote was better than one from the local dealer whom I have already purchased 5 vehicles from, I won't be going back to that local dealer. The final price we settled on was the exact amount on the sales contract, no hidden fees or add-ons. The trade in value for my used truck was reasonable, the paperwork for completing the sale was quick and thorough. I will be going back to Doug Henry when I am shopping for another vehicle.

I responded to a Craigs List ad which led me to Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro. Jay Coggins was my sales agent. Jay and all the staff I dealt with were truly dedicated. I believe they were more interested in customer satisfaction leading to repeat business rather then a quick sale. Respectfully; the car I bought from them was the result of a repeat customer. One who had bought this car from them new and returned to buy another new one. The car I bought, a `08 Taurus was as close to new as you are going to get. We've now owned this car for a month and I must say it's the best car I've ever owned. New cars included. I am very grateful for having stumbled over the ad, the car and the entire buying experience at Doug Henry. On Saturday June 29th 2013, My wife and I drove almost 2 hours to Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro to look at a 2010 Ford F150 XLT 2WD crew cab ($23000) with our 3 kids. When we got there we were met by Brandon Drake who showed us the 2WD Ford. My wife and I took it for a drive. Upon returning to the dealership, we had my trade (a 2007 Toyota Tacoma appraised ($16500) and the dealership was supposedly working the numbers while we waited with our 3 kids (10, 5 and 2). While waiting I noticed a 2010 F150 XLT 4X4 ($25,700) and asked Drake if I could take a look at it. After getting the keys I went out and looked at it with my 2 year old son. When I came back into the dealership, I began telling my wife that the 4X4 was the better deal and she and I were discussing it. She was more geared toward the 2WD because it was cheaper and I was trying to make her understand that the value of the truck 3 to 4 years from now would be greater with the 4X4. As we were discussing, Drake interrupted and began to tell us what a much better truck the 2WD was and that the 4X4 was bought at auction, etc, etc, basically agreeing with my wife that our best move was to buy the 2WD. To my wife he had made good points but in my opinion still the 4X4 was the better deal. It became harder for me to convince my wife after that so we ended up purchasing the 2WD. The following day was Sunday June 30th, and I convinced my wife that the 4X4 was the better deal and we agreed we would contact the dealership first thing Monday and swap the 2WD out for the 4X4. Doug Henry supposedly has a 5-day exchange policy and our plan was to use it. I called Drake first thing (7am) in the morning on Monday (July 1st) and got his voicemail and left a message with my intentions of swapping vehicles. No return call. At 10am I called again and this time talked to the receptionist (who confirmed he was working that day) and asked her to give Drake the message to call me ASAP. No return call. Again right after lunch I called and was sent to his voicemail. Drake finally called me back at 5pm on Monday night. When he called he said that he sold the 4X4 that morning to someone who had called the previous week and wanted to fly down to look at it and if he liked it he was going to drive it back home. He also said the guy did not want to put a deposit on it, he just wanted to take the chance that the truck would not sell and fly in and buy it. I was really upset because now I realized why he was so adamant that the 2WD was such a much better deal for us then the 4X4. It was really a much sweeter deal for Drake because he knew he had the 4X4 sold if he could keep anyone from buying it that Saturday when we had come to the dealership. My wife was very angry as well because she had believed his reasons to purchase the 2WD were valid but later it was reveealed that his reasons were self-motivated. if he could sell the 2WD to us, then he knew he could also sell the 4X4 on Monday to the guy who was scheduled to fly in but refused to put a deposit on the 4X4. BUT THAT ISSUE WAS JUST A CHIP OFF THE ICEBERG- READ ON:The Tacoma I traded was financed through our bank (USAA). We traded the truck on June 29th and of course the dealership asked for the 10-day payoff which we were able to get easily from USAA. I received a phone call from USAA on July 12th asking me if I knew when the dealership was going to send payment for the Tacoma. I told them I had figured within 10 days but since we were on day 13 now, I would call the dealership and find out. When my wife called the Tarboro dealership, Joe Tillery told my wife that they had mailed the payment to the wrong address but they had mailed another one out. We called USAA back to give them the information and were told that the payment was actually due on July 15th but we would only be assessed a late fee if it went 15 days past due. So it was the 12th and we figured another check had time to be mailed and processed before the 30th. On July 25th, payment had still not arrived at USAA and my wife called the dealership again and was told by Joe that obviously they had mailed it again to the wrong address. My wife and I were very frustrated. We asked Joe if he could wire the money to USAA and he agreed. Once the money had been wired over, we assumed everything was finished. I checked our online banking on July 25th and it appeared that the truck had FINALLY been paid off. No late fees. No dented credit. Fast forward to August 6th, while doing some online bill paying I noticed that at some point, the balance owed for the Tacoma had appeared once again and we had been assessed a late fee. I called USAA and was told that the money that had been wire transferred to pay it off had been reversed. Now we are 24 days past due and no one can tell my wife and I why the wired transfer had been reversed. So we called the dealership and was told by Joe Tillery that they already had the title. We were so confused, frustrated and angry. How could we be 22 days late on a truck we haven't owned for the last 6 weeks? How could the dealership already have a title but our bank not have received payment? Seriously? What happened was the dealership put 'stop payments' on both mailed checks once they wired the pay off. The 2nd mailed check had actually arrived at the right mailing address and was being processed. When the wire came in the USAA representative saw the 2nd mailed payment had posted and the truck showed a 0 balance. She informed the dealership and they asked for the wired transfer to be reversed. Later that day, after the title had already been mailed, the stop payment showed up in the USAA system on the 2nd mailed check and the balance owed on the Tacoma returned. This is what I was most upset about, the dealership knew they had NOT made payment on the truck on July 29th but obviously they had received the title. Instead of talking to USAA about what went wrong. The finance people in Tarboro DID NOTHING. They KNEW they had stopped payment on both mailed checks and they also KNEW that the wire transfer had been reversed. How would they NOT know? They really didn't care because they had the title and they figured they would deal with it when someone called them. So from July 29th - August 6th, my wife and I are assuming that everything is OK when I look at the online bill pay and see we still owe the balance on the Tacoma, have been assessed a late fee and are less than a week from having our credit dented for something that we have absolutely no control over. On August the 6th, the dealership finally sent another wire transfer over to my bank and the truck is again showing payed off.When all of this began transpiring around July 25th, I really wanted to talk to Doug Henry (the man) who owns all of these dealerships. Nobody at the dealership wanted to give me any of his contacts. They said they didn't have his number. I finally was able to get his cell phone number from John Worthington (sales manager at Ford in Tarboro). John also told me that I would probably get his voicemail and Doug would call me back. He told me it could be a day or two because Doug was a very busy man. So I called him that same day and I imemdiately got his voicemail but his voicemail box was full so I couldn't actually leave him a message. Jay Coggins is second to none insofar as my experience over several years of buying new Ford trucks. He was not "pushy", but instead "right on time". After working through three other dealers, one with non-stop emails and phone calls (who happened to come in $3K over DHenry), I contacted Jay to let him know he was the only remaining contender for my business. I drove two hours to make the deal and arrived an hour early. But, even though he was busy with another customer, made the time to give me keys so I may explore my future purchase on my own while he finished up. Jay and the Doug Henry team came in a respectable amount lower on a very comparable F-150 Lariat 4x4, and respectably higher on my trade. They certainly embrace the volume versus single sale mindset! Anyone who leaves Doug Henry unhappy does so because they came in with unreasonable expectations! This is my fourth F-150 and coupled with two Nissans, and two Lexus vehicles...Doug Henry comes out at the top in all aspects of a new vehicle purchase. The rave of Lexus service is matched by Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro NC. I owe the majority of my pleasurable experience to Jay Coggins! I would not hesitate to work with Jay again.

This was BY FAR the BEST dealership experience I have ever had. The price was already set, but of course I did my research and found that the vehicle was priced below what the going market price was. I made an appointment with Jay, we did the test drive and then we went through the paperwork with Brandon and Joe.I wasn't pressured at any point - no extended warranty, no patriot act/we have to run your credit report crap, nothin'. I didn't feel like I was being taken to "the cleaners" or conned about the deal. In fact, I will be buying all future vehicles from these guys going forward.

Bought the first of the tow new cars I was looking for from them because they are the "hometown" dealer and the promised to "take good care of a local guy because we could do business for years'. Well I will never never go back. I now travel an hour to a different city even though I can walk home from their dealership. When I bought the car they were more interested in selling me an $1,800 warranty, gap insurance and dinging me for a high interest rate instead of getting my car prepped. When I declined the warranty I had to deal with the sales person, the finance person and the manager all trying to convince me I NEEDED the warranty and insurance they sold because no one else's was any good. I had to threaten to walk out on the deal to have then shop for a loan for me instead of their 8.9% junk and was accepted by a national bank for half that amount. After three hours I got the key to my new car only to be told " we did not have time to prep it for you so bring it back on Monday." So I left my new car with them for a whole day to get it ready. Turns out I would get used to leaving my new car with them all day while I drove my old car to work only to find out the salesperson never talked to any one, never called me about my car and never got the problem fixed. I had to have a shouting match in the showroom to get anyone to look at my car and they solved the problem in less than 10 minutes. My impression of this dealership was incompetent and that they wanted your last dollar. If they did not think you had anymore to get they did not give a rip about you or your business. When trying to get my car taken car of so I could actually drive it, the salesperson would not even call me. I had to make repeated calls while at work to get a hold of him. Save yourself a lot of trouble and aggravation, find a different dealer. I now know why the long time Tarboro resident told me to go to Willson to buy a car.

The salesman (Brandon Drake) and the service manager Glenn Lupton have been great to work with. The problem starts with two of the sales managers, Jeff Heflin and Brandon Mansour. Both these individuals lack customer service skills to be working in any kind of business. One was arrogant and the other did not believe in customer service after the sale. I have had issues with the check engine light coming on and Glenn is working with me to get it fixed. The only reason I bought the used vehicle was of the price even though I had to drive an hour and 15 minutes to get it. I even sent an email to the owner, who never replied.
