I went in to the dealership with an idea of what I was looking for and a price range and the staff was incredible. My salesman went over all my options, took me around and showed me all the different cars I asked for, and even some different styles with similar features. He was very thorough but talked to me like a friend vs a salesman which took away a lot of the angst of finding a new car. I traded in my car and left in the car of my dreams the very same day! If you're on the market for a new car, ask for Robert!

Was in the market for a mk6 gti. Got an online quote from Amanda and spoke with her the next day on the phone. We discussed pricing and the fact that I had a trade. Amanda was very straight forward and didn't seem to beat around the bush. Once I arrived at the dealership She was able to cater to all of requests and I ended up leaving spending less than I intended to.

We were at the beach for the weekend and decided to look at the VW Passat at East Coast. Our car buying experiences up to this point had been something my wife and I dreaded, but Abbie Copeland made it a pleasurable event. I recently completed the purchase of 2015 Golf R from East Coast VW. I worked with Daniel Mahaffey and it was truly a great experience. Daniel and the entire mamagement staff at East Coast went way above and beyond in helping with the purchase a my new car. There are five VW dealerships that are closer to me than East Coast Volswagen, but because of the great attention to detail and personal service I received from East Coast, I drove the 2.5 hours (one way) to buy my new Golf R. I plan on having the car serviced there as well. If their service department is anywhere near as courteous and professional as Daniel Mahaffey and the management team, I'm in for a real treat. The next time you're in the market for a new or used VW, ask for Daniel, you'll be glad you did.

If you are in need of a new or pre-owned car. Go see Joe Burnham. He made this the easiest purchase I have ever had. I called and told him what I wanted, what I wanted to pay and he called and said when do you want to come get your car. When I got to the dealership I was in and out within two hours. You will NEVER EVER find someone easier to deal with and as straight forward as he was during this purchase.I highly recommend him. (This is coming from a person who absolutely hates to buy a car because of the hassle and the going back and forth on price)

I had a simple and easy transaction at the price that was fair based on my research. My salesman was Terry Heyne and he was very accommodating. He didn't jerk me around and even helped me after making my own arrangements to get the car inspected by another party prior to purchase. My wife had to go by in my absence to sign some documents (I was out of town) and Terry walked her through everything while I was away, he even entertained my 5 year old. Excellent Experience.

We stopped by to check out the Beetle Convertibles. We were met by salesman Terry. We went for a test drive, fell in love with the car, and bought it. Terry was one of the nicest sales people we've ever dealt with. He was informed, helpful, and not at all pushy. He not only went over features of the car, but synced' my wife's phone to it's Bluetooth. I would highly recommend Terry and the dealership.

If you want to buy a car from a dealership, with no hassles and a sales team that's really on your side East Coast is the one. Our experience was well worth the hour drive to the dealership. The dealership provides an atmosphere that is relaxing and fun. Our salesman's name is Terry Heyne and he was great. I recommend that you request him as your salesman when visiting this dealership. He explained everything to us in detail. Terry very knowledgeable about the car he sold us and provide demonstrations on the car's features. We came to the dealership with hopes of getting a preowned vehicle, but drove away with a 2014 Jetta, that our family loves. Less than a week we received thank you letters and emails from Terry Heyne, the sales manager and the general manager. Their website is great and has an excellent inventory. The website even provides videos that you can view on their inventory. I recommend that anyone reading this posting who interested in buying a new or preowned vehicle, let East Coast be the first dealership you visit . I rate the entire buying experience with sales rep, Abby Miller, outstanding. She had a positive attitude from the minute she said "hello" and never gave up until we drove off in a new Jetta. She even followed through when we brought the car back for its 2 week check up. She really is an excellent sales rep. The facility was clean and modern, with cars beautifully displayed. Financing was handled quickly and efficiently and everyone we dealt with was pleasant, supportive and courteous. We had heard a strange noise, just before our two week check up and the car was checked from top to bottom,and test driven before we left, to be sure nothing was overlooked.The car is running beautifully. So our entire experience was wonderful and we rate the entire experience as an excellent one

I traded my vehicle for something that would get better gas mileage. Two days later the vehicle i bought at East Coast literally would not run anymore. After having it towed to the nearest repair shop, they fixed it (ruptured turbo pipe). The next day after that the air compressor went out. Three days and almost $3000. Then a panel on the inside fell down, the rear view mirror fell off, the paint came right off of the bottom of the rear view mirrors in a car wash. Then it broke down again. I had a 60 day warranty on this vehicle and sent the receipts to Jim and the GM via fax.. more than once, and called them. They said they would see what they could do. Which was nothing.

The reasons for giving east coast poor reviews are due to the simple fact that in the end they failed to recognize a check engine light issue. Here is the story. I see a used 2003 passat with 175k east coast was selling and after inquiring with terry, I felt as if this was a great deal and I drove down to see it. I liked the car and at the time of sale I noticed no initial issues with the passat. I went down on a monday and drove it back to greensboro and drove the car until that Wednesday when I smelled radiator fluid and burnt motor oil. That Friday, I took the car to Flow Volkswagen in Greensboro and they found a coolant flang was leaking as well as a bad check valve, valve cover gasket leaks? I asked them to replace the timing belt and water pump as well as program a remote. Brian Sciully agreed to do those repairs for half the cost of normal charges which I was grateful for. East Coast also gave us a loaner to drive. The repairs were done three days later. As my wife is bringing the car home, she gets on the other side of Dillion and the check engine light comes? She made it home fine and when I took it to a shop I use he found that there were three pieces that needed replacing before it would pass emissions. I received an email and I rated them poorly. Called and complained to Brian Scully and he said no. Someone had to know this vehicle had issues. Be careful.

When we purchased the car we had the best salesman on the lot in my opinion, Terry Heyne. When we took the car in for it's first service our entire view of the dealership changed. The service advisor is a very pleasant and knowledgable. He is one of the best service writers that we have ever dealt with. The mechanics are the WORST! I had to take the car back to have the driver side door weatherstripping replaced, we were told it would take about 45 minutes, 3 hours later I was still sitting in the dealership waiting for the car. When the car was ready I assumed since it took so long the quality of the work would be impeccable. When I first opened the door I immediately noticed grease all over the side of the dash and windshield, not one to complain I overlooked and went home to clean it, at that point I noticed grease on the headliner of the car as well as on the cloth A-piller cover. I took the car back talked to the service manager who assured me this is not normal and would take care of it. When I picked up the car for the second time the air back plastic button was broken and falling out, I went back and they had to order this part which I installed myself. This all happened in the first 10k miles of owning the car. My latest trip to the dealership was for a check engine light appearing, this happened to by my fault by putting gasoline in a diesel car (easier than you think especially with one diesel car and one gasoline car). We had this repaired, one the way home on the second tank of diesel the light came back on, I called Alan and he told me just to bring it by and he would be glad to check it out. I dropped the car off and left it for several hours so they would not have to be in a hurry. My wife picked up the car and brought it home, I sat down in the car and noticed something black hanging out of the top of the hood. We opened the hood and found a part to the engine of our car that had been left off and slammed in the hood of the car. There can not be any excuse that is going to make up for that. I feel bad for the staff at the dealership that care about the customers and want to do a good job. We tell everyone we know you can buy a car there but have it serviced elsewhere.

I was calling around to find out info and pricing on a new VW, and was thoroughly impressed by East Coast VW. From the first call, everyone was really nice a friendly. Toby answered all questions I had and was proactive in working with me on every aspect of my purchase without being pushy. Once I got to the dealership, the same high quality customer service continued, and they made the experience great. Toby showed me all the functions and features of my new vehicle and made sure I was comfortable with everything. Overall my best experience with a car dealership!

Terry greeted us in a very professional manner and within five minutes, we felt like we had a long-standing relationship. We looked at several cars with Terry and he was very knowledgeable about each of the cars we looked at. We never felt pressured into buying any of the vehicles. As soon as my mother & I entered the lot we were greeted by one of the best and friendliest salesmen! We test drove the 2011 Jetta & I loved it but I also loved another vehicle from another dealership & was torn between the two. We went into the salesman's office to talk prices so maybe that would help me with a decision and boy, it did! The sales manager came in to talk with us & we asked for an "out-the-door" price so we could think it over that night & make a decision the next day or so. The sales manager told us that he could not do that because incentives could change within the next day & this was wasting his time because we were not ready to buy right then. He continued to be rude and just did not seem to care about the customers or about our business and he just walked out. He was also smacking gum in his mouth the entire time which is not only very unprofessional but it is also very disgusting! My mother and I will NEVER return! Sorry for the awesome salesman but his manager ruined it for him!

Everyone is always very helpful, from appointment to cashier. I have had some major work done at this dealership including a new engine for my 2002 Eurovan. They were always considerate of my time and the stress of having repairs done. They always work hard to see that warranty items are properly credited.

It was a great experience....From the moment we walked in I felt that we were going to be treat good. Everyone is quite friendly wether they are the one working with you are just walking past you. They told us everything we needed to know so that we felt very informed. Since we wanted a specific color they made sure that they could locate one and were able to arrange a trade with another dealership. I am a HAPPY VOLKSWAGON buyer.

I felt that East Coast Volkswagen does not have the best interest of the consumer at heart. I understand that they are in the car business but they are in my opinion not in the customer satisfaction business. I left there feeling very unimpressed with the whole experience. I will not be going back even to get a service for my TDI. They tried to increase the cost of the car due to a federal tax incentive then they tried to charge us for a cleaning fee but called it a discount. We ended up going to Atlanta Ga. and got the exact same car for $2000.00 less.
