If I could give 10 stars I would. Everyone know the troubles of going to a car dealership and the amount of stress it can cause. I spent a few months researching and a few weeks traveling from dealer to dealer. I didn't have one experience as good as I did at Ed Carroll VW. I didn't have one experience as good as I did dealing Bob and his manager. The purchasing experience was transparent (which can be difficult to find at a dealership) and easy. Bob put in extra time after hours and during work hours to make sure I was satisfied with the buying experience and I got what I had asked for. As a business owner, it is so important to stand behind the quality of your work and go above and beyond for your customers. If that's what you're looking for, ask for Bob.

Had an issues with our VW. Called our sales rep John Crum and explained that we really needed the car back for a vacation we planned the next day. John and the service team went out of their way to fix the problem first thing in the morning so we could get on our way. The concern and thoughtfulness of this team made a a big impression and was extremely appreciated!

Needed warranty work for my Atlas. Patrick at the service desk is the man to talk to! Very courteous! Kept me informed of what was taking place during the day! We live out of town they gave us a loaner car to use! Very good day all around for us!

I would give a negative 10 rating if I could and honestly this review is more so for Volkswagen in general but I am also furious with Ed Carroll as well. We have a 2 year old Tiguan that we bought from Ed Carroll new. It has 30,000 miles on it and my wife just uses it around town and drives like an old nanny. The brake pads and rotors have already gone out and their response is that they are wear and tear parts! I would understand that if there was 50k miles, but would be disappointed. I've never owned a vehicle that had brake pads that didn't last 70k miles, so 30k is clearly a manufacturer defect. Not according to Ed Carroll though. In fact, they told me that they often receive Volkswagens with the same problems at 30k miles! This is absolutely outrageous and this is why I am writing this review about Ed Carroll (I will contact consumer bureaus for Volkswagen in general). At bare minimum, I would have expected the service manager to at least try to contact someone from Volkswagen to try to resolve the problem in a reasonable way. Even if they failed, they at least should have tried, not just tell me that this is expected. Of course, all of this is after multiple safety recalls, a one month waitlist for oil changes, and just an all around negative experience since we bought this car. When we purchased the car, the salesman added some things we didn't agree with and by the time I aught them, we had been there for hours and I let it slide - I guess that's my fault as I never should have trusted them. The quote for this repair is literally 50% higher than the next lowest quote after we checked with 5 other shops. I have never in my life written a bad review but I will do everything in my power to dissuade anybody from purchasing a Volkswagen and from this dealership.
