I enjoyed working with Gene and Jose. They were very interested in what I could afford and what fit me. They stayed late to help me and when the car had a computer problem they gave me a loaner to use and got the problem fixed within a couple days. I would shop there again when the need arises. I had found a vehicle online that I was very interested in. I had emailed back and forth with Kevin, who was nothing but pleasant via email and through a few phone calls. I drove 2 hours to make seal this deal in person and it was worth every minute. Jose was outstanding to work with. He knew every bell and whistle of the car that I was looking into. Also, he made sure that I understood each feature and felt comfortable in the drivers seat. From the moment I walked in the doors, everyone at Mel Carlson Chevrolet were nice, friendly and went above and beyond while I was there. Elizabeth was also great to work with! I FOUND ON THEIR LISTING ON THE INTERNET THE CAR THAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR. I TALKED TO CRAIG AND HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY, BUT NOT PUSHY. WHEN WE WERE ABLE TO GET TO THE DEALERSHIP CRAIG AND US REALLY HIT IT OFF. WE WENT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND HE COULD TELL US MANY THINGS ABOUT THE CAR. HE REALLY KNEW THE CAR, NOT JUST TELLING US THE OBVIOUS. WELL HE SOLD US THE CAR AND I WAS IMPRESSED ALL OF THE THINGS THAT THEY HAD CHECKED AND REPLACED AS NEEDED. Very impressed with Mel Carlson Chevrolet. Called interested in a vehicle I found online there and talked to a couple salesman - all of which were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When we went to take a look at the vehicle - Jose helped us and was great to work with. An easy, painless car buying experience. We worked with Jose and Elizabeth and both were great, attentive to our needs and answered all our questions. Makes it a no-brainer to go back for the next purchase!

We were on the search for a new vehicle and became interested in the extended range electric Chevy Volt Mel Carlson Chevrolet had one, so we called salesman Jose Lopez to ask him about it. He went out of his way to read up on the Volt and ask other sales people who have worked with the Volt before to gather more information for us before we even arrived to take the car for a test drive. He walked us through all the features and showed us how to utilize some of those technological features that may have otherwise been tricky to figure out on our own. Now we are the proud owners of a Chevy Volt after a very enjoyable shopping experience with Mel Carlson Chevrolet.

We have purchased from Mel Carlson before, but this is the our first lease with them. Jose took the time to learn about our needs in a vehicle and walked us through all of our different options. He helped us decide on the right vehicle for us, and proceeded to take the time to walk us through all of the different options and features on our new vehicle. Scott and Elizabeth were also extremely helpful in getting us through the leasing process. We will definitely be back to Mel Carlson for another vehicle!

Based on his personal level of service we decided to drive 105 miles to purchase our new car & I'd do it again in a heartbeat! We found the perfect car at Mel Carlson. They were very fair in their assessment & evaluation of our trade-in, as well as offering a good dealer discount on a new car. While researching prices, we found information regarding an additional discount. While other dealers either refused to honor it or denied knowing of it, Mel Carlson took the time (and it did take a lot of time & effort on their part) to research the discount and apply it toward our purchase. Jose kept us informed and remained positive & upbeat through the whole process. I recently purchased a 2012 Equinox. The folks at Mel Carlson Chev made the process easy and fun. The sales consultant I worked with, Jose Lopez, helped me from start to finish. When I went to Mel's this time I wasn't sure what I was looking for, Jose suggested that I test drive the Equinox. He made sure my questions were answered before I left the show room floor. When buying a new Equinox we had the best experience. The vehicle was for my father that could not get around well. One call to Mel Carlson an speaking with Jose Lopez, telling him just what he wanted to purchase is all it took. Within 48 hours they had a vehicle located an back to their building. All the paper work was worked up an waiting for him to simply sign. What a great experience. Would definitely do it all again :)

Very pleasant and easy experience. I was impressed with how at home the staff made me feel. No high pressure salesmanship which is what I appreciate. Jose Lopez, as a relatively new salesman, was extremely knowledgeable and when faced with questions that he could not answer, he quickly found the answers. Mels Carlson Chevy is a wonderful dealership that has been a boost to Truman's economy for over 40 years. Great service, the buying of our new truck was a nice experence. I was going to by off of a lot and the salesman asked if we wanted to order a vehicle instead. That way I could get the options I wanted instead of the factory package. The salesman was Jose Lopez andf he was great to work with, he took care of all the things I wanted done, installing if my fifth wheel hitch, spraying of the bed liner, installing the roll top cover, everything was done when he promised.Great Job

I would highly recommend purchasing your new or used vehicle from Mel Carlson. Our salesman, Jose Lopez, went the extra mile to accomodate our needs including staying late and working directly with Onstar with our questions. He was very knowledgable and patient as we determined what vehicled best met our specifice needs without the high pressure of some dealerships. We were very pleased with our salesman, Jose Lopez. He was very knowledgable about the truck we bought, but he wasn't pushy. He made the buying process very easy and it didn't take the usual 4 hours to get the job done, only 2 and a half. Financing was quick and easy and we were very pleased with the trade in value we got for our old truck. This was the most pleasant buying experience we have had in 30 years. We would definately recommend Mel Carlson Chevrolet.P.S - And we didn't have to have our picture taken, like at some dealerships. (We hate that!)
