I saw the Pink VW Beetle advertised on the Volkswagen website and decided to try to find one. The first VW dealership I went to, the salesman said, "Good luck finding one of those; they only made a limited number of them." So we continued our search, and I'm glad we did! I went on to the Elk Grove VW website and was able to text-- and get an immediate response-- all my questions about the pink VW Beetle. The person who texted me back told me they had one on the showroom floor and invited me to come in for a test drive. The next day after work, we went in, saw the car and fell in love with the cool color-- and right then and there, the completed our application, approved our loan, and we were driving out of the dealership in our new car in no time! Ty, the kind gentleman who helped us decide on our car, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The finance manager was thorough, quick, and very nice. I would highly recommend this VW dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

Ten minutes latter the finance manager called and said they could drive the car up to my office in Jackson Ca. and that I could sign the papers and get my wife's new car. We had looked at the Q5 and test drove one at Niello Audi. We were ready to purchase one but the salesman was rude and condescending towards us regarding our trade-in vehicle. Needless to say we left without buying the car. We came to Lasher Audi and were met by Daniel Pasqual. Daniel was professional and eager to help. After a test drive, we settled on the Q5. We dickered over the price for a bit but were able to come to an agreement. Daniel and Mike Nelson were professional and did a great job with the purchase. Probably one of the best car buying deals we have gone through. The only negative was that the air conditioning inside the showroom was not working and it was a 99 degree day.

I came in the dealership to look for either a A3 or A4. It was to my surprise that they had a A3 and a A4 side by side in the showroom. I was able to compare and contrast the two in a air conditioned environment. That sold me on buying either car. The salesman was very knowledgeable and did not try to persuade me on choosing a specific car. I ended up buying a A3 2.0T. Best car purchase experience I had in a long time. I had several years ago received a somewhat less than favorable experience from the service department. The only reason I was visiting this dealer again was because I had a coupon for an oil change. The staff at Elk Grove VW has completely restored my faith in their dealership. They did everything in their power to regain my trust and right any wrong that I may have experience in the past. If at any time there was a bad apple in their staff, rest assured that employee doesn't work there any more. Bottom line is that I went in for an oil change and walked out of there with 2, I say again, 2 new cars.

My last Jetta was purchased from Roseville VW because I was unhappy with the service department at Elk Grove. However, the staff at Elk Grove VW has come full circle, has gotten rid of any rotten fruit if you well and is jumping through hoops to earn your business and make you a happy customer with no pressures like you experience from most dealerships. I went in to get my oil changed because I had a coupon and ended up driving out of there in 2 brand new cars. Elk Grove VW had surely earned my trust and business for all my service needs.

We arrived at the Audi dealership on Saturday. All sales people appeared to be busy. So, we started looking at one of the A5s on the lot. Within less than 3 minutes we were approached by the sales manager Jerry Sypkins. He told us all of his sales people were busy at the moment but he wanted to make sure we were taken care of. We let Jerry know we were interested in an A5. He answered our questions and asked if we wanted to take a test drive. Of course we did! Jerry is very tall and doesnt quite fit into an A5 so he introduced us to Peter Allen one of his sales guys. Peter was great! We test drove the Audi A5 and the A4. Peter is very knowledgeable, patient and a pleasure to be around. There was NO PRESSURE to buy. We spent a lot of time deciding on which car we wanted to buy. We even had both Peter and Jerry searching all of California for the specific color and packages we wanted. We decided to buy one of the A5s they had on the lot. This is our second Audi. There were a few things we wanted to add to our car (tint and paint protection). We were called promptly Monday morning to schedule an appointment to have these things added. This was the best car buying experience weve had. We love our new car. If youre looking for an Audi, I highly recommend going to Audi Elk Grove.

My wife loves her EOS, and Elk Grove VW is where we get it serviced. So, when it was time for me to look for a new vehicle it was our first stop. As a musician who needs to carry keyboards, getting a vehicle that could fill that bill and also be a great commuter and be good for long trips was a tall order, but Derek pointed me to the Golf SportWagon and it was a perfect fit. No pressure when I said I wanted to look at other options, and within a few hours I was back. Derek was with another customer, but rather than expect me to wait he put Adam on the case, and boy what a great team. No typical territorial sales staff behavior at this dealership! They really all work together to provide excellent customer service. They put me in a limited edition SportWagon and I could not be happier. Now we are a complete VW family, and the EOS has a new little brother to look after in the garage at night. Great cars, and a great dealership make for a really good buying experience.

We bought a new Golf as a spare/ work car. For the price the Golf is a great car. Bought a 2014 for our son and it has been great, so the decision to get another was easy. We have an Audi and Porsche and have had other higher end cars and the quality of the Golf is really amazing for the price. Especially right now. Bought an Audi Coupe from Wes Lasher in 1987 (Florin road then) and remember that as being a good experience too. Glad we made our way back to them again. Jimmy, our salesman, was fantastic. First email at 10 am, there at 1:30 and on our way home by 3 pm. No pressure, no stress.

We had visited this dealership once as we began our car search. We had a very pleasant experience without pressure and were given clear concise information about the model we looked at. We returned 3/26 and met with Daniel who was available this time to work with us. While he was eager to do business it was obvious he wished to find the best fit for our needs. He spent much time reviewing the A4 and answered all our questions. Daniel is personable and knowledgeable, especially in the area of technology. When we showed some interest to purchase but were not sure if this was the right time he immediately sought the manager who was able to further assist us. My car buying experience at Lasher Audi in Elk Grove, CA has been extremely pleasant. This is the second car I purchased from this dealership - I am a repeat customer because I was happy the first time. At Lasher Audi, they are laid back and you dont feel pressure. There is no need for intense haggling - a reasonable deal is easy to come by. They are straightforward and polite about their best offer - after all, these prestigious German luxury vehicles are not for people looking for a cheap car. The favorable experiences will continue when you come in for routine maintenance. You get treated like a VIP and the service is highly professional. For me, Audi is a better value than Mercedes or BMW, and every bit the sophisticated performer of these comparable vehicles.

I was unhappy, however, with the sales manager who was very slow in processing my paperwork. I just bought a Jetta GLI from Sam Gold at Elk Grove VW for my wife and I am a very happy customer. My wife wanted something economical and safe that we could also give to one of our 3 daughters in a year or two, so we had previously agreed to a budget that was stringent to say the least.. I have previously owned VW's and Audi's so I am already a fan of the brands quality, safety, and performance. I gave Sam the parameters that I was shopping for and he quickly matched me up with different options that they had on the lot. I decided on a black on black GLI and it seriously looks like a car that cost twice as much. The 2.0 turbo has quite the get up and go and the interior is deluxe to say the least. Sam took me into the financing dept. and those guys procured me a me a great loan deal in less than 30 minutes. I got such a great deal that for the first time ever I also bought the extended 6 year/100,000 mile warranty, which truly gives me long term comfort owning this vehicle. While we were completing the paperwork Sam took my new ride back to the garage to have it detailed! Sam brought the car back up glistening and proceeded to show me all the features, run me through the stereo system, and he even connected my phone through the blue tooth and set up the programming for me. A great experience all the way around!

Very efficient process. My lease was not up until March 30, 2016 however, I received a call from Sam gold at Elk Grove Volks stating the dealer was willing to make my last two payments. That interest me so I immediatedly contacted Sam. Upon further review, it was determined that I had three payments left. Sam stated the dealer would make the last three payments. I was contacted on 12/15/15 and drove away in my 2016 VW CC on 12/16/15.

Mike Fallis at Elk Grove Audi is the epitome of professionalism and his customer service is above and beyond. We took our A4, which Mike sold us a year ago, in for service on the Friday after Thanksgiving and was given a Q5 as a loaner. I called Mike and told him we would love to trade in our A4 and move up to a Q5. Over the weekend Mike worked with us via the phone and on Monday, we picked up our Q5. Just visited Elk Grove Audi yesterday and purchased a new 2016 Q5 3.0T. My inquiries started online when I submitted a request for an ePrice from their website. I was in email communication with Eric Ramirez after that who was really awesome to work with. I didn't feel pressured at all, but I set up an appointment with him to come do some test drives. He knew I was uncertain of what I wanted so he set me up with a number of different models and packages to try. I never once felt rushed or like he was pushing one car over another on me. He genuinely wanted to help me find the right ride for me, and that was a great experience. All-in-all I'm loving my new Audi and had a great experience buying it from Elk Grove Audi!

In my search for a 2016 Jetta SE manual, Elk Grove was the only dealership that was able to locate the vehicle I wanted. I went in for a TEST DRIVE and left with a beautiful 2015 Passat Limited Edition. A sweet find! I bought a new 2015 VW Sportwagen 6 weeks ago from Lasher VW and had a good experience. I gave them a glowing Yelp review. I'm sad to report that this dealership is not what I thought it was. As many of you have heard, VW deceived the public by installing fraudulent emissions software on all their diesel TDI vehicles from 2009 to 2015. This is one of the worst cases of automobile fraud ever. Regardless of what fix they might come up with, it has made all VW TDI's virtually worthless, and their credibility has been permanently damaged. Today I took my recently bought 2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI back to Elk Grove (Lasher) VW and told them I wanted to return the vehicle based on the fraud. I was even willing to buy a different (Non VW) car on their lot. Their response was extremely sad and disappointing. They would not take any responsibility for this absolute deception, and basically did not want to work with me. I personally spoke to the general manager, Patrick, who did not want to take any responsibility either. He told me that he did not want to take on the risk of having the car sit on their lot for several months waiting to see how VW was going to handle the problem and not knowing if there would be a fix. He did not know if and when he could resell the car. His exact words. I also had two sales people tell me it was Volkswagen's problem and not their's. Wow! After several hours of difficult discussions, they finally agreed to buy the car back from me at a very reduced value. I lost 6K in the deal. They told me that the vehicle has lost its value due to this event, and that is all they could offer me. Wow! Talk about a lack a faith in their own product. It told me that they know these cars are now worthless. When I told them I would buy another non VW car on the lot, they wouldn't take any money off their asking price. Not very good customer service, especially after selling me a faulty vehicle. I was treated like trash. Patrick and the Lasher family should feel ashamed of themselves. Please do not shop for a car at this dealership. They are unethical. Stay away from buying a Volkswagen, diesel or not. They are a deceptive company. They will not retain their value, and their resale will be horrible for decades to come. Do not reward VW or this unethical dealership with you hard earned money. It will end up being a waste. Take your money to a reputable car manufacturer and reputable dealership. You can't sell bad products and then turn you back on your customers. Shame on you!

I'm expecting a little one in December so I was in the market for a safe, affordable, and reliable used car. I found one that I liked (a 2012 Jetta Sedan) on their online website and made a call to the dealership asking if it was possible for them to hold it for me that day until I could make it up to Elk Grove, as I live about three hours away. They were extremely understanding and had no problem moving the car to the back of the lot and saving it for me so that I could purchase it later that day. I immediately fell in love with the car once I got there! The customer service that I received was extremely friendly and helpful, and made my car buying experience wonderful. The paperwork process was a bit slower than I have experienced at other dealerships (took a total of 3 hours), but it was well worth the wait. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone! I called in June to inquire about 2015 Golf wagons and discovered through a salesman, Kyle, that they still had a couple 2014 VW Jetta TDI Wagons. I loved my 2010 Jetta wagon and was dismayed when VW stopped making them for 2015. I was going to settle for a 2015 Golf as a replacement. So I was overjoyed to be able to get a new 2014 Jetta. I came by on the last Saturday in June and only one was left. The salesman, Kyle, and his manager worked with me to make a great deal. I live in Nevada and the financial manger did an excellent job of dealing with the cross-state issues. The correct NV sales taxes were collected and sent to NV, so that when I went to register the car in NV everything went smoothly. I am very happy with my new car, especially since I got exactly what I wanted for a great price. They were very helpful through phone calls, email, and in person.

It can be a very trying experience buying a car but Elk Grove VW was an exception to the rule. Everyone was both helpful and did not give me the feeling of pressure that is so often associated with the car buying experience. I must mention that Sam Gold was my personal sales person and he was very laid back and informative. He was the one who sold me on the 2012 Jetta wagon that I bought. Then he was very helpful explaining all the media in and outs of the car after the sale. If your considering a new or used car I do recommend Elk Grove VW. I took my first to Audi of Elk Grove before the summer looking to get some information on the A6. I was looking at a mid-sized sedan and Audi peeked my interest to have me visit. As I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by Vince with a warm smile. This guy really knows his stuff! After He handed me the A6 product book, we proceeded to look over one of the A6s in shop and he just started pouring out so much information. I really take notice when someone really knows their stuff as he was providing to many details, facts and insights about the car as well as Audi's background as well. I had mentioned that I was in just to gather some onsite information and probably have a more firm decision post summer and was pleasantly surprised there was no pushy salesman behavior some might experience to get sale. I made my second visit to Elk Grove Audi post summer like I had planned with a firmer stance of acquiring an A6. I was glad when Vince instantly recognized me. After talking more about the A6, we decided to do some car color comparison; I was looking for a dark grey exterior. While there wasn't a dark grey exterior and a black interior, I still wanted to take it for a test drive to make that final decision if I had wanted it; I was aware by Vince that I could custom order my A6 if we couldn't find one to my preference. As the Elk Grove Auto Mall is the closest to my house, I have test driven as well went on drive along test drives along the same sample drive route. Test driving first started along some less densely driven in town roads and finishing up on some highway performance. It pretty much confirmed with me that I wanted this car. Going back to the dealership, we started entering in the specifications I had wanted. It seemed with the surrounding Audi dealerships, my preferences were not available. I was about to fold and custom order the car, about a 4 month process when Vince decided to try one last trick and look at the incoming load of cars coming to the California dealerships. To our surprise, there were about 2 unclaimed cars that fit my bill so we had one routed to Elk Grove and I'd only have to wait about 2 months for that. Those two months seemed like a really long time but I was glad that whenever I had questions and shot Vince an email, he would always be replying in a timely manner so I am very pleased with the communication he provided. I was very surprised as the time drew near that delivery was ahead of schedule and the car came in 4 days earlier then it was scheduled too. After I walked in to the aww of my new car and getting the boring paperwork out of the way, I went to sit in my car for the first time. Vince was very very thorough in going over a lot of the immediate features of the car. We also did one last drive around the dealership to get the final feel of the car before I was sent off. I leaft the dealership with a slight craving for spicy chicken. If you are wondering about that, then maybe you just have to visit Elk Grove Audi and see! I would not hesitate to recommend Vince and Elk Grove Audi team to anyone looking to get a high class German car. They provided the level of communication, information and service that is needed to provide a good shopping experience.

I had been keeping my eye out for a new vehicle for about 6 months, although I really wanted a new Jeep and not a VW. But my current Jeep (that WAS supposed to be my trade-in/down payment) suddenly gave up its good fight and died on Saturday afternoon, leaving me to find a dealer and a vehicle with zero down! I was not looking forward to that nor walking onto a dealer's lot! It's something that always makes me aprehensive because I'm not the negotiating type and I don't like being pressured. My Sales Consultant was Josh Johnson, he walked out to greet my husband and I before we could even get out of our truck. He was not your typical car salesman in that he was not pushy one bit, he didnt try to upsell me or force me into the sale. I knew what I wanted, a Jetta, because I had seen they were having a special on then through their summer 2014 clearance. Again, he didnt even try to pressure us into something more expensive, he took me right to the model I asked for, let me check it out, test drive it, and then let me know which colors he had in stock. It was important to me that the car have power options and bluetooth. In the beginning Josh thought that no jetta models in my price range were equiped with bluetooth, but he kept looking and we ended up finding one in the same price range as the other models. Finance staff was also able to beat my banks pre-approval APR for my loan, which was awesome, they too were very professional and didnt try to push more options on me at signing time. In the end I was really impressed with Elk Grove Volkswagen and our Sales Consultant Josh. I got more options for my money than I could on a new Jeep and at below dealer invoice price. Most importantly, I feel like I got a good deal on a great car.

I was expecting family soon, so I had to run off after the test drive. They next day I received a phone call to tell me I was approved and the car and paperwork would be ready for. Well upon my arrival, the process went smooth. They gave me a great trade-in value, a great price on the new car, and even a $1000 fuel card. I love my new car. I love my new dealer!

Juan Medina was great. Very friendly and helpful. We had one problem with a mistake by the sales manager and Juan did everything possible to correct the issue. Even though the manager wouldn't budge Juan helped with some other options to try and make up for it. The employees were all friendly and helpful. The lot has a huge selection and some good pricing. I would definitely send people here who are looking for a new car.

The star system above isn't enough. This is a new and better way to buy a car. Why can't it be this easy every where else. My husband and I work long hours and have 2 kids so we didn't have time to shop around for a car. We knew what model we wanted so started emailing dealerships. A couple didn't respond, a couple insisted that we come in and meet them, a couple went ahead and gave us quotes. Elk Grove went well above and beyond. They continued to exceed the best quotes we got, answered all of our emailed questions in a very timely manner. And now for the best part.... we submitted all of our paperwork by email, made an appointment to pick up the car on a Satruday. I was in and out of the dealership in 45 minutes, driving away in my new car. The trade in, lease signing, and review of the car took no time at all. I was certain that I was going to arrive and they would try to renegotiate the price, etc. That couldn't be further from the truth - everyone was ready and prepare to get me in and out of the door on the exact terms we had prenegotiated. The last time I bought a car it took 6.5 hours!! I live in Oakland and work in San Franciso and it was abosutely worth the drive to Elk Grove just for this experience not to mention the price. We bought a 2011 Audi Certified Audi Q5. We had been looking for a particular color and option set for some time, and found it at Elk Grove. Ralph Jackson met us at the door after a 2 hour drive, and did a really fine job throughout the sale process, as did the finance department. The dealership was very nicely laid out, the only slight discomfort coming from an Audi RS5 right behind us -- I could hear it growling softly all the time. We love the car, we really appreciated the time Ralph spent with us to go over its complexities -- all in all, they did a really great job, right down to Ralph grabbing a battery booster because I had left the lights on in our old Jeep and flattened the battery!

Our inquiry into pricing for a new Passat TDI was handled quickly and professionally by Howard. His reply email included stock number of actual vehicles on site that matched our specifications. When we arrived at Elk Grove V/W on Saturday to test drive the Passat, Howard was off that day so we were met by Todd who introduced us to Juan. Juan found us exactly the vehicle we wanted in his inventory and brought the car over for a test drive. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of this V/W model and enhanced our buying experience. Let's be honest, car lots are not a happy memory for us baby boomers and so I was ready to "walk' at the first sign of an up-sell or manipulation of figures but pleasantly, to my great surprise, that absolutely did not happen! I can honestly say I have never had such a great buying experience. Team Howard, Todd, Juan are the "Dream Team." These guys are possibly V/W's greatest asset. We drove all the way from El Dorado county because of Howard's initial great service, (Folsom V/W didn't offer the same deal) and we are so glad we did because the follow-thru was just as good! I had a great experience working with Juan Medina at Elk Grove VW, who is definitely one of the best salesmen I ever met. He is so patient and informative. This is my first time purchasing a new car, and I am glad I go with Elk Grove Volkswagen. They have good selections, and their service is good. I had been wanting to get a new car for a while, but cannot decide which car to go with. I visited Elk Grove VW 2 month ago testing a Tiguan, and Juan explained everything very clearly and with patient. He followed up with me letting me know their store get new Tiguan, and ask me if I want to test drive or anything. Last Saturday I brought my parents and boyfriend with me to help me make decisions. Juan is patient with all our questions, and I really appreciate it. They do not have the model I like, so they ship it from another store, and I get it the same day. I have been driving it for a few days, and it if great. I will definitely go with them if I buy a new car later, and recommend it to my friends.

I purchased a new VW Golf TDI from Elk Grove VW almost a week ago -- . I am a middle-aged woman and have purchased a few cars in my time. From the moment I called to inquire about the car I had in mind to the moment I drove that car off the lot I was completely satisfied and actually feeling JOYFUL about the entire process. Strange to read that word in a review about buying a car, I know. I had been looking at cars for almost 6 months -- the last car sales person I spoke with before making the drive to Elk Grove said, "I know, shoppng for a car is like pulling teeth, you don't want to but you have to ." This should only be true about teeth. Moments after I arrived at the Elk Grove lot Doug Roberts was there to greet me personally with the car I was interested in; ready and waiting to go for a test drive. So from the get go - no reindeer games. Doug is a total straight shooter. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the car buying process, the mechanics of cars, various insurance choices, etc.. You trust him becasue your common sense tells you so - He is clear speaking (read: no BS carsales talk) and provides real customer care. Imagine -- you know the car sales person is in your corner to help you get the the car you want to have and not waste your time trying to sell you something you don't want. If The Click and Clack Car Talk brothers had a third brother who sold cars Doug would be him! Elk Grove's finance manager, Michael Nelson, is also another straight shooter. The "actual purchase price" quoted to me was the actual purchase price! Michael was very thorough and efficient in explaining various well-reasoned finacing options and was able to match my credit union loan rate. I knew exactly how much I was spending and where my dollars where going. These folks are great!

Dealer treated me honestly and with great respect. Visited EGVW on Saturday to look for a new VW CC. From the moment I walked into the dealership until I drove off in my new VW, the experience was first rate! I have purchased many vehicles over the years and I must say that this deal with Elk Grove VW was by far the best experience I have ever had. Bruce Peterson dispells the stereotypical saleman bad rap they get. Bruce wasn't pushy at all, was very knowledgable about the vehicle and was super friendly. No tactics, no deception, none of that..The sales team really went to work for me. I had a trade in that I was upside down in and the sales team worked with me to get a good deal on the trade. During the finance process, there was no pressure for warranties, or other options available. It was so nice to be treated well and valued as a customer. It is remarkable to sit back after two days of owning the vehicle and looking back on the sale. I have not one negative feeling or comment about the sales staff at Elg Grove VW. The only day I was available to come in was Ray's day off but rather than handing me off to another sales associate he had me call him 30 minutes before arriving at the dealership so he could come in and meet me. Ray patiently answered all my questions and made sure to keep me updated throughout the process. Due to an upside down trade it wasn't easy to get me financed, Ray called me throughout the entire process letting me know that they were still working on my financing and where we were at. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles as well. Gina in finance was wonderful as she made me feel comfortable and was very helpful and friendly. Overall this was a good buying experience and I couldn't be happier with my new vehicle!

We had heard good things about Elk Grove VW and we were looking forward to doing business with them. Arrived ready to buy a new Passat TDI. Test drove the model and asked for the bottom dollar they were willing to sell it at. Let them know that we intended to shop around to ensure the best price. We asked if they were willing to price match. The said, "yes we price match". We said great and left waiting to hear back by email on their price. In the meantime, we shopped around and got a fantastic price quote from another dealer. By the next day we still hadn't heard back from Elk Grove VW so we re-contacted them and provided them with the quote we recieved in writing. We told them that we would rather shop more locally and do business through them.Not only were they not willing to match the quote but they insinuated that the other dealer might be trying to sell a car that had been damaged in some way. We were so disappointed that we drove to the dealer to hear it in person from the management. We were given the same response, they were not willing to meet the price as they had previously stated they would.We can always get the car from the other dealer who had made an honest effort to get our business. However, we will never consider going back to Elk Grove VW, or recommend them to anyone, because of their dishonest business practice.

Yesterday, I bought a diesel Passat from them. Rich Barbour was my salesman. The experience was the best one I ever had, including buying several luxury cars. I have been stuck in meetings all week, so after finding me the very car i wanted, Rich drove good 10-12 miles each way to meet me at lunch for a test drive. We negotiated everything through e-mail and text messaging (!) and most of paperwork was pre-printed by the time I got to the dealership. I was on my way home in an hour and most of the time at the dealership was spent going over the cars features. I cannot speak highly enough of Rich and his team.

Excellent Customer Service. From the minute I pulled in. This was my first time for a check up on my new 2013 Jetta. I was not sure which door to go in. There was a service technician out front helping another customer, I asked him where to go for my service, he took a minute to walk me to the door & opened it. It was the office of Joe Margo. When I need service for my VW, Kerry is the man! On a recent service appointment, Kerry enticed me to go test drive a new 2013 beetle. Since I'm a 2009 Beetle owner he knew how much I liked the new 2013's. He recommended that an appraisal of my 2009 beetle be added to the service appointment just to see how much of a trade-in value I could get. I always appreciate how Kerry treats me like a valued customer and almost like family. He has taken care of any car issues for me for the past 2.5 years. I came here looking for a car for my daughter. I wasn't sure that I was going to buy, but I was interested in different models. I was approached by Doug and we took a Jetta on a test drive. It was the ideal car for me to get my daughter. Doug helped my find the same car in a different color, explained all the features, and took care of us very well. When we went home we realized the second key to the car had a flat battery, we gave Doug a call and he ensured that another key would be ordered and we wouldn't taken care, we didn't have to pay a dime for a $300 replacement key. It was a great experience. This dealership is great. Friendly, great, quick service! Definitely will go back next time.

I purchased from this dealership 10 years ago and was impressed with its selection and service then. I was not disappointed with my currrent purchase of a 2013 Passat TDI and was very pleased with the salesman, Harold Tran, that worked with me on locating the right vehicle and fully conveying its features and how they work, he even set up my phone and its numbers in the vehicle's computer. Something I probably would never have done. He was also instrumental in pursung a loyalty discount of $500 eventhough I did not trade in my older Passat, which will hopefully stay in the family for some time. Overall I was very pleased with the service and the friendliness of staff. I have recommended this dealership and their products to my friends and co-workers and will continue to do so.

Ray Haskins was an excellent sales rep. He was very professional and informative. He is the reason why I would purchase from elk grove VW again. The sales rep I met with initially was not very helpful and didn't seem to really know what was going on- such as the information on cars, pricing, etc.. But when I returned, Ray was very helpful and made me feel like my business was appreciated. Ray took the time to explain all the features of my new Jetta, something that the previous redwood city vw did not do when I purchased my GTI. Ray explained everything to me during the entire process of purchasing the car, and I felt that he was very informative and helpful. Additionally, he has followed up via phone and email to check in and see how I like the car so far. Excellent customer service.

Went to this dealership and test drove a base model Jetta and was a little disappointed with the power and said I would consider the 5 cylinder version of this car. Later that evening I visited the web site and found the vehicle that I wanted and submitted a price request and also filled out the finance application which was approved within minutes. Soon after, I received a price quote from Bruce via email. The price was much lower than expected so the next day I test drove the car, and was impressed with the increase in power and upgrades. I then sat down with Bruce and began the purchase process. This process was expedient and I drove away in the new car very satisfied in knowing that I was treated fairly by a courteous top notch proffessional. I would not hesitate to do more business with this dealership and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stress free car purchasing experience.

Asked for an out the door price from a number of dealers and explained that I wanted just that ( cost of vehicle all included tax lic everything.)Told them if they didn't give me everything included I would walk out which I ended up going at a couple of dealers earlier in the week.They thought they could add this and that or say oh yea but this was not included so it will be this much more.(WRONG)I gave them a piece of my mind and said Hon lets go were done here. Thought we were going to do it again at Elk Grove VW but to my surprise it was just the opposite. The vehicle was just what they quoted by phone and email plus they through in a few costly extras at no charge. They were professional, courteous,very willing to do what it took to make the sale right well above what was expected.I would in a New York Minute purchase another vehicle from this Dealer. For quite some time I had been looking for a vehicle to replace a cherished Saab 900. Wanted something sporty, unique, refined, with a hatch and designed for grownups. I decided on the Volkswagen GTI. Visited four dealerships but left feeling pressured or unimpressed. I then visited Elk Grove Volkswagen to look at the GTI and also to test drive a Golf TDI. I had been interested in the diesel Golf for some time and wanted to cross it off my list before committing to the GTI. I asked Peter Kosachevich for a demonstration of the Golf TDI. Peter's product knowledge surpassed that of the other dealers, especially in demonstrating the navigation and audio system. The test drive was also impressive. In my case, I found the Golf TDI be a much better fit for for my needs and actully more fun to drive. Any concerns with being able to locate diesel fuel were nullified by the nav system as demonstrated by Peter and by the comments of other TDI owners. Elk Grove VW found the exact vehicle I was looking for, transferred it in and offered it at a fair price. The transaction took very little time and was handled in a professional manner.

The level of service was outstanding. The dealership did not have the car in the color I wanted in stock but they would in a couple of weeks. Darren kept in contact with me during that period and then let me know as soon as the car arrived at the dealership. The purchase took less than two hours to complete. I had visited the other VW dealerships in the area but was disappointed with the service so I would absolutely recommend Lasher VW in Elk Grove.

We went to Elk Grove VW because we'd heard good things about them by word of mouth, AND because they're our local dealer. We were looking for a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI (with Sunroof!), and HOPING 1) they had one in stock, 2) we wouldn't have to fight someone over it, and 3) we wouldn't get taken to the cleaners on such an in-demand model VW. So, we got 1-3 covered EASILY, and got one with the coveted DSG transmission, nice 17" wheels, and in the color we wanted (interior + exterior). Howard Tran in the Internet Sales dept was very polite, informed about the vehicle, and very helpful. He was also very patient and understanding that we had our 3 year old with us during the test drive. Gina Parr in the finance department had the lease handled easily, and had a lot of knowledge and advice for us as first-time lease customers. After owning the car for less than a week (and finding EVERY excuse to drive all over town), we are loving it more and more. There really is something special about German auto engineering. The TDI's reputation for fuel economy is drastically understated on the dealer sticker (EPA rating). Elk Grove VW filled the tank for us and we've yet to use 1/4 of the tank after 170 miles of combined city/highway driving. Also, we like to see everyone disappearing in the rear view up the Nor Cal foothills while the TDI clean diesel plant is barely turning 2K RPMs. A+ for Elk Grove VW.

I have been researching the VW TDI's for about a year. I have a 14 yr old Toyota 4Runner that needed replacing. I was a die-hard Toyota customer (still am) but I needed much better MPG and I did not like the Prius. I also listen to the Car Pro Guys on AM radio and they recommended the Passat TDI for MPG. I contacted this dealership thru them at their web page, www.carprousa.com & found this dealershp recommended & received a 2013 Passat TDI quote immediately. I came into the dealership looking for a manual transmission but they did not have one, but Howard checked into the new vehicles coming in and found one for me in the color I wanted; I made a deposit. I waited about 1 week, and got the call that the car was in and I picked it up just yesterday. Howard was just exceptional, showing me everything about the car, explaining the warranty, service/care, etc. I will be bringing the car there for all of my needs. The only feedback I have is to VW: they need to get a Tiguan TDI into the US market to compete with the "others" - if they would have had one with TDI, I would have bought it instead of the TDI Passat!

After earnest but unsuccsessful attempts to get an order going for a 2013 TDI Jetta SportWagen from my local dealer and then a Bay area dealer I tried Elk Grove VW. It seems that special orders from VW are not an easy process now and some dealers are not inclined to be helpful. However, Bruce Peterson of Elk Grove was courteous and willing to get the order processed. Bruce and his associates were friendly and kept me informed with updates on the building and shipping schedule. The car came earlier than the estimated delivery time.After the car arrived at the dealer they prepared it in one day and I drove it away that night. They sold the car to me at a less than invoice price which was generous because with the high demand for this model they could probably ask and get more for it.Howard helped me find and understand the car control systems. He was able to answer any questions I had and he was technically knowledgeable about the cars he sells which in my experience is a rare thing these days.

Went great, visited a couple of other dealers before coming in to Elk Grove VW. It was very simple Doug and the team he works with were great. They simply took what I wanted, and my budget and worked everything out for me. While buying a car is never a FAST experience, VW Volks was faster than most and the time wasn't dragging and there was not a cloud of pressure hanging over me. Even the closing paperwork where you get all the pressure typically was painless. So, to review each aspect a little bit individually.Dealership (approach) Laid back, attentive without being in my face, everyone was very polite and Doug (Salesperson) introduced me and my wife personally to each person I was to be working with during the whole process. The Car - Love the car, I did my research before going to the dealership so I knew exactly the make and model I wanted. I wanted a 2012 model because they typically fetch a better deal and Doug found one at the downtown dealership and went to get it himself and bring it back to me, it was in great shape and they did a final detail on it and filled the tank with Gas.Doug - Doug was great, very laid back he took his time with the process so I didn't feel that any detail was missed. He seemed to do well to adapting to my needs as a customer and did well keeping both myself and my wife active in the process so we didn't drift off in to la la land. The other names of People I worked with during the process I can't recall off hand (I'm bad with names) but the finance guy was really good, I already had a great rate from my bank, and he tried to see if they could beat it. Even though they didn't beat my current terms, they were very polite and didn't add any unneeded process or pain. The closing paperwork where I expected a headache was very painless. He only offered window tinting and an alarm. I'm still tempted to have the alarm done as the price seems good but I haven't decided yet. He was very polite and very quick. Can't ask for more really.Overall, It went great. Highly Recommend if you're anywhere near Elk Grove!!!

We went in to buy a used car for our son. We had never bought a VW before, but Howard Tran was very patient with us, answering all of our questions and making us comfortable with our purchase. We checked out a few other dealers, some that had your typical high pressure salespeople, but there was no pressure at Elk Grove VW. Howard was very patient with our son as well. Before we went out for the test drive, he explained how to adjust everything on the car to our son. He answered all of his questions and made him comfortable during the test drive. The sales experience was the easiest we've ever had buying a car. This was Howard's first day in the internet sales team, so he was learning the new systems that they use, and he kept apologizing for taking so long. But it was all good. From Howard, to Eddie in Financing, the whole experience was painless. I would recommend Howard Tran and Elk Grove VW to anyone looking for a pain-free car buying experience.

My wife enjoyed "shopping" at the Elk Grove VW dealer. With the possibility of getting a new car, she was escorted around the dealership by Doug Roberts. Being shown a number of models that interested her, my wife test drove a few cars that included only one I had suggested. The following morning, she headed to another dealer to test drive a few more of interest. As luck would have it, I returned home early from work that afternoon. We ended up back at Elk Grove VW and met up with Doug. After a long test drive, we worked out a deal. They found the specific model combination of choice across town and we drove home from their location that evening with our new Tiguan TSI. Great experience, sweet deal.

Just purchased a new Jetta TDI. I dislike buying cars because of the horrific ordeal that comes along with it. Pleasantly, however, I was given a quote via email before even going to the business. When I got there there was no pressure during either of my two test drives. When I came back on the 3rd day I was out of there with a new car in less than two hours with no problems. Now I'm getting 48+mpg on my first tank. When you're there you should see Ray or any of the Internet sales crew! Grade: A+

I first telephoned the dealership and received good, honest information.The combination of price and model made this vehicle the best choice of over 50 comparable adds on line. When we finally arrived at the dealer, the staff greeted us immediately and knew who we were and the reason for our visit.The internet sales staff of Rich Barber and Bruce Petersen were straightforward and efficient in showing and test driving the car with us. Bruce Petersen called me as soon as the car I wanted was on his lot. I test drove it...then told him the terms to stay within my budget. He got me my dream car, for the payment I could afford. This was not like any other experience I've had with a dealership; no insulting haggling, just an honest effort to get me what I wanted, for the price I wanted. 6/26: Update: 10 days after agreeing on finance terms, they called me back to tell methat I didn't qualify for the 1.9%. TEN DAYS AFTER I DROVE OFF THE LOT!!! I changed all my answers...they turned a great car buying experience into a nightmare!

If you need service on any VW, this is the place to go. Kerry in the service department was so helpful and knowledgeable, it made the experience easy and painless. They got the shop foreman to go with me on a test drive to diagnose my problem. We have a VW Rialta motor home and are going to Anchorage Alaska this summer. They were able to finish the same day as promised even though I decided to have them do some more very over due maintenance as the work progressed. I was also completely impressed by their parts department answering all my questions with patience and courtesy. The whole place felt like home even though everything looked spotless and new. I haven't had to buy a car in many years -- I love Volkswagens and only wanted to consider a VW-- we went to Elk Grove VW and met with Ryan Caudill. It was his first week on the job, but he was great- very helpful and not at all pushy. My husband can be very picky and Ryan took everything in stride. We had a certain budget to work within and when I found the car I wanted, a new VW Jetta SE, it was a bit more than my budget and they were able to work with us to make it all work so that we were within our budget allowance. Bruce Peterson stepped in to help with the financing and to go over the details, and was wonderful. And I had also ben preapproved for a car loan before arriving, but Michael Nelson, the finance manager, was able to get me qualified for an even lower interest rate and got me a great deal. I love my new car and the dealer and all the folks we dealt with here were terrific. Definitely recommend!

They are not the typical dealer and the experience I have with them is extraordinary. I have purchased two cars from them and considering a third - principal reason is my service advisor: Kerry McConnell. It's great to own a piece fo excellent engineering but it wouldn't mean much if the service isn't up to the task of keeping the car in the best conditin possible. A lot of people use the word "service" but this is one dealer, and especially Kerry, who knows what the word means. I highly recommend Elks Grove VW - for both a VW and for service.

Being picked up at the Sacramento airport and taken to the dealership was a welcome bonus.The sales completion and vehicle instruction processes were well and quickly completed.Mr. Varner was friendly, informative and related well to my wife and I.Driver's side tires leak slowly, but I don't yet know if this is a defect or road hazard.The plastic light lens from the underside of the driver's door is not installed, but was saved for later installation.The owner's manual reflects the fact that this vehicle is unnecessarily complex, and is a bit intimidating to non-techies like me.The manual illustrates and describes a garage door opener, but doesn't say if this is supplied with the vehicle (not found), or an optional accessory.The on-line vehicle specification sheet describes three 12 volt outlets, including one in the trunk, but which was not installed. I will insist that one be installed by Santa Barbara VW, as per specifications, as this 12 volt trunk outlet was one of the reasons I chose this vehicle. We plan to do long distance cruising, and take a bi-metal 12 volt cooler in the trunk.William Berry

Ash he made the wife and I very comfortable when doing the paper work, he explained all the details of the differant extras you could get, such as tinted windows, paint protection, extended warranty, as with him it was a now pressure sale. We did get a few upgrades. Your salesmen were not not swarming around us trying to get us to buy a car. I will recommend anyone I know that is looking for a new or used car to visit Lasher VW first.

Overall satisfaction was high. There were two frustrating details, one resolved and one yet to be resolved. The resolved issue was discovered during a test drive. The car appeared to be pulling to one side during a second test drive before purchase. I don't recollect right or left. The problem was examined and determined to be a tire pressure issue which was only partly correct. So the problem appeared to be corrected, however days after purchase the car was pulling to one side because of the same low tire pressure, so I inspected the vehicle myself. I'm not a mechanic, I don't have a vehicle lift and I didn't even have to crawl around on the ground to determine there was a screw visibly logged in the tire. The sales person (Sal Davide) was contacted regarding the problem. He arranged for the vehicle to be checked out and repaired at no cost at a local tire shop. He even offered to meet me there to ensure that things went smoothly. The reference was excellent and the service was impeccable. So props for correcting the issue though it would have been much more preferable to have this discovered and corrected prior to purchase. The second problem hasn't been brought to the attention of the dealer but will be at the next service. The wipers are adjusted improperly and over travel the windshield. I imagine running them without correction could cause damage to the wiper and the paint where the wiper over travels the windshield. I hope that even though this problem wasn't noted before taking it from the lot that this issue will be resolved without stiffing me for their oversight. Both these problems while frustrating more than anything are pretty annoying since you pay a premium for a "certified" vehicle that has supposedly undergone a thorough inspection. I think these issues all point to something not up to par in the service department and ratings googled online seem less than positive about the service department. My experiences with the sales person mentioned above were excellent and I would recommend this sales person to others. He's detail oriented and comes across as a straight shooter. My minus marks are related to the problems associated with oversights from the service department during my transaction.

I was assisted by Zack Tanner, a relatively young sales assistant. Not super-experienced as some veteran salespeople are, but very friendly and helpful, honest, low-pressure, and able to promptly answer or find answers to my questions. I'm glad I worked with him. The used 2008 Passat I bought died within 15 miles of the dealer, was towed back, and I unexpectedly ended up spending four days in the area (I live in Los Angeles) until it could be repaired due to a Sunday service shop closure and then July 4th holiday. A bad ignition coil, a simple repair. During that time, the dealer provided me with a loaner car which I was able to take to San Francisco for two days, something they normally wouldn't allow, of course. So the dealer was quite sympathetic and helpful in that regard. (Coils sometimes go bad in these cars...VWs of that era ain't Hondas when it comes to reliability....and by pure chance it happened minutes after I bought it, but the unpredictable parts failure doesn't reflect negatively on the dealer at all.) An overall good experience with this dealer, and certainly with Zack. A few minor negatives: car tires were surprisingly overinflated I discovered later, engine oil was a quart low despite said to be changed (I'm still not 100% convinced of that), and the service advisor was quick to correct me when I mentioned 10K mile oil changes, and that 5K is correct. (The manual clearly states 10K.) Other than these lesser issues, the big picture -- the vehicle purchase and then dealing with the car being dead for several days -- were both pleasant and well-handled by the dealer.

While looking at the car we were provided every oppertunity to ask questions and ensure that it met not only out needs but our price without the pressure. Bruce made buy a car easy, painless and stress free and actually fun. He listened, knew our price point and payment budget, and helped us find a safe car for my daughter to take back to college. Didn't want or try to sell us anything other than what we needed or could afford. Ash was efficient and extremely polite and easy to work with.We had taken test drives at Stockton dealers early in the evening, and the quality of EG VW cars FAR exceeded what we had seen in Stockton. The information given to us on what your service dept had to do to the vehicle and the CAR FAX was given to us without asking.I have already recommended EG VW to my co-workers.

I have to say, I did talk with several people at the dealership, and all were held accountable for what they had told me regarding the purchase price of my trade in vehicle and the price that I was willing to pay for my new used Rav4. They researched what I had been told, and held to their word. The finance person did a wonderful job getting me the lowest annual percentage interest rate I was entitled to receive.I was very impressed with the honesty of everyone and the teamwork I felt every had. I love my new used Rav4!

Hands down the BEST sales associate to work with at ANY dealership - hands down!!! I purchased my 2009 VW CC from Brian a few years ago and have since referred several friends and family to purchase their vehicles from him. As a result, they also received the best service from Brian when they purchased their vehicles from him too. Throughout the years from bringing my vehicle in for service, Brian always greeted my husband and myself with a smile, he remembered us by name EVERY time and was always very friendly and approachable at ALL times. During the purchase of our vehicle, there was no pressure to buy a vehicle from him and we were able to take our time in the decision making process, which really took so much stress off of us because typically, that's not how sales people can be at a car dealership. And really, I don't even like referring to Brian as a sales person, because you don't get the feeling that he is in this for the sale, but rather to make sure that the customer gets what they want, at a payment which they can dictate and just be extremely happy with the overall purchase. I feel as though Brian knows that he is continually building a career with great repeat customers, and not just trying to make a quick buck. He truly cares about his customers and listens to everyones concerns. Brian volunteers his help in any way possible to make sure that no one is left with uncertainty and overall, everytime I have dealt with him, I have been more than pleased with the results.Go in and see Brian and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I liked the overall experience we had at this dealership. Other (non VW) dealerships we have been to have an extremely aggressive approach with customers on site as well as over the phone and email. I very was impressed with the staff at this VW dealership. They made it easy and comfortable to purchase a vehicle without an aggressive approach. I plan to recommend this dealership to others.

I started to look around for a modern used car a few months ago after my 2000 VW Jetta had finally had enough (182,000+ later). I spent weeks looking around at all the other dealerships, makes, models, and even some Craigslisters (yikes!). But, being a die hard Volkswagen fan, I decided to stay tried and true to my beloved VW. As soon as I walked in the door at Elk Grove VW, I was greeted by Katie Baker with a friendly smile. Needless to say, from the very beginning I was very impressed with her. She was very courteous, helpful, extremely knowledgable, and my favorite: not pushy to make a sale at all. At all of the other dealerships that I visited, the salespeople were very pushy, to the point where they were almost herding me into their sales office and begging for me to take their card. Some even when as far as to call me six times a week trying to make a sale. But Katie was different. Instead of pushing me into the sales office, she showed me around what seemed like the entire lot, no muss, no fuss. You could tell that she was willing to stand behind the product and let the cars work their own magic, which is a refreshing feeling. I eventually settled on a used 2008 Jetta. Compared to the other cars that I test drove, it was the most equipped, cheapest, and came with the best warranty. Overall, the feeling of this dealership and their staff goes up and over that of any dealership I have ever been to. I was very pleased with the customer service and prices of the car. Any salesperson that asks you to rate them online, for the world to see, and request that you be as honest as possible is good in my book. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Elk Grove VW to anyone looking for a new/used, affordable, and reliable car! My only regret: not being able to give them a higher rating than 5/5.

My first impression was respectable. I was greeted outside with a handshake and a smile. Conversation was easy, there wasnt any prying. Will just let me be myself. The interior sales room is quaint yet modern. Who doesnt love that!But I didnt buy that day even tho we arrived at a decent price. No I left. The saleman, Will, i hate to say salesman...well Will was very knowledgable, he assisted in the big picture, shared his experience in such a tactful way. I appreciated that.A couple weeks later, I was back in that wonderful atmosphere with Wnderful Will. I purchased a car & have nothing but good things to say.

We were very pleased with the salesperson Zack Tanner. He was not pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable of the vehicle we eventually purchased as well as the others we were interested. Zack is a young man. His maturity level is far above his age. He is professional and friendly all wrapped in one. We encountered a small problem during the financing processes. Again he showed his professionalism and stayed the extra time as well as came early the following morning to ensure this deal went through. We can not say enough about Zack. Which at my age and after dealing with numerous car salespeople over the years it is my opinion that you have a great employee. The entire process of the vehicle purchase was the best I have ever gone through. Brian and Bruce are the absolute best car salesmen I've ever experienced. They are the internet managers at Elk Grove Volkswagen. I sent them several email inquiries about a 2011 VW Golf TDI, 4 door, manual transmission. This car is very hard to find, and most dealers are asking sticker price if not more. Without ever meeting me, Brian and Bruce gave me an internet quote that was below invoice, and pulled some major strings to find me the car I wanted. They ended up trading cars with another dealership to acquire the car I wanted. Because I know with which dealership they traded, I happen to know that this dealership was not willing to budge on the sticker price of the car (I had called them prior and checked on their inventory and prices). Brian and Bruce went the extra mile to grab this car and proceeded to sell it to me for far less than would the dealership from which it came. You folks have got to call these guys. They're awesome.

I first started going to Elk Grove Volkswagen when I moved to the area in 2005. Kerry and the rest of the staff at EG Volkswagen have consistently provided superior customer service. My service Manager, Kerry takes the time to explain the service and costs associated with service in a clear and meaningful manner. I have my car regularly maintenanced at Elk Grove and have never had any reason to complain. I recently had to have some major work done and though it was an unexpected event and cost, Kerry help me understand the importance of the repair in relation to driving safety. The few times Kerry has not been available, the other service managers have also provided excellent and consistent customer service.

I purchased my car from this dealership> While I did have mechanical problems with my 2007 Passat, the dealership always provided great service and even though I may not have been happy about the car, everyone at the dealership provided 100% satisfaction with the process.I would have bought a new car there this year if VW had made a 2012 Passat when I needed a car in April. Even though I didn't purchase my GTI from Elk Grove VW back in 2007, I took it there for service simply because it was convenient. After the first service, the outstanding service, friendliness, and professionalism brought me back for each 5,000 mile service, and I've already racked up 100,000 miles since then. The service manager always tries his best to fit me in for service when I'm in town (home is 400 miles away). His cordial and friendly ways always make me feel welcome and I look forward to knowing that my car will get the attention and work it deserves. Now, in 2011, we purchased a new tdi Golf, and we wanted to be sure to purchase it here. The salesperson is just as reputable as the service manager. While I didn't buy my 2006 TDI Beetle from this dealership, they certainly have treated me as if I had. Within a few months of owning my vehicle, the windshield wiper motor went out...during rainy season!! They didn't have a part in stock, but Kerry McConnell took care of my needs immediately and somehow managed to get me back on the road within 24 hours. I have since moved away from this area, and have visited other VW dealerships. I can attest that they are NOT all created equal! Therefore, when I am in town, I always have my car serviced by the great folks at Elk Grove VW... it's WORTH the drive when you are treated with genuine appreciation.

I purchased a 2001 Certified Passat in 04. I have taken it in when service is needed or called for. Each time I have taken it in, the car was running fine, but after there service I have had major problems. Oil leakage, nothing showed on my garage, boots replaced, steering rods replaced. lower engine cover replaced, outer tire rods replaced, lower controll arms replaced, loose bushings in control arms and joints, engine lite came on, secondary air line replaced all within two years. Took car in for 70m check, car had engine light again, found vac leak replacted tub and vac hoses, tire rotation done. Left on vacation and after 200 miles engine light came on, also found front wheel lug came off. When back from vacation had to replace air flow meter, $400. At 75000 miles had full service, car was running well. After service they found that the wire harness was brittle and broken wire causing car to run ruff, they fixed without cost as they broke the wires. Told me to sell the car to another dealer as repairs to the wire harness would cost $2500. All this within 2 1/2 years on a certified car.
