We bought our first C-Max from Encinitas Ford two years ago and had so many problems with the SYNC system that we spent a long time battling with Ford corporate to have it replaced. Maddi spent hours and hours over the course six months working on getting our issue resolved. She went out of her way to make it right for us even though she had no responsibility in the matter. For that reason and that reason only we returned to Encinitas Ford to purchase our second Forda cherry red Escape. Maddi got us set up with the best salesperson and made sure that we were in and out in a little under two hours.

I showed up for a test drive and drove away with a new car. Dave and his partner let me actually borrow the car to take my kids out to eat and while I was gone they prepared everything I needed to finalize the deal, including financing. Dave was supposed to go home at 3:00 PM and stayed until after 7:00 pm. I had to leave 3 times for errands with the kids and he took advantage of the time to have the car detailed and prepared to drive away. He even returned my rental car for me. Great experience at Encinitas Ford with Dave Bechtel.

Maddi always makes you feel welcome when you go in for service. She always stops to ask about my grandkids and makes sure I'm well taken care of when I'm there. I used to go to the dealership in Carlsbad but I find it's well worth it to drive an extra ten minutes to bring my C-Max to people who treat me with respect and actually appreciate my business.

This is the fourth time I buy a car from a dealer and this dealership's staff do not compare! they are incredible, friendly, and honest. I felt comfortable from the get-go with this salesman who was on top of putting everything together prior to my arrival. I arrived with just test drive it and signing the papers to finalize the purchase. In and out in less than 30mins.

I always come in for 'the works' package because it's a great deal for the money. Basically for the price of an oil change I get that plus a 32 point inspection - they top off all my fluids, rotate my tires, inspect my brakes and check my belts and hoses, then Maddie patiently helps me with updating my Sync and iPhone because I'm clueless and she gets me back on track everytime i go in.

I live in the area and there are like a dozen fast lube places around but I don't go because Encinitas Ford actually does a 32 point inspection which includes a tire rotation for less than $30 when there's a rebate. Rigo and Maddie are the best so I always ask to see them.

And Ms. Maddie updates my Bluetooth and gets my phone reconnected whenever I'm in Service even though she doesn't do the technology anymore and always takes a few minutes to visit with me while I wait. My Service Advisor, Steve Coffman has consistently taken great car of me and my Ford Edge. I put a ton of miles on my car for work and can't be without my car for longer than a half a day. For those reasons, Steve has invested time into creating a great preventative maintenance that works around me and my busy schedule. He's kept me riding happy, kept my Edge healthy and has saved me time and money because he's catching anything before it become a serious or major repair. Because of Steve I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I called Encinitas Ford and asked them about a used Ford Fusion that I was interested in. I had a 335i BMW that I wanted to trade in and had called to see if it was possible to trade it in and have my payments lowered to a specific price. (I needed to get my debt to income ratio down.) When I called the internet sales manager, he explained that he probably couldn't get the price that I wanted, but he could probably do it for about 50 more than I was asking for. It wasn't quite the price I wanted, so I told him that I might come in but I was going to look around. About an hour later, I received a call from another person, I believe her name was Mary something, and she inquired as to why I didn't want to come in. I told her that we couldn't quite get the price right and that Encinitas was a little far from where I lived and I didn't want to drive up there knowing that I couldn't get the price that I wanted. She insisted that I would be surprised with what they could, as they were having a sale. I was skeptical and told her I was not really interested. I know that they just want you to come in so they can get you hooked. She was so confident that they could help me though, that she promised that if they couldn't get me down to the price that I wanted that she would fill my gas tank. I asked her if she was sure and she stated, " Im that confident" Well! free gas if I don't like what I see, or I get the car that I want at my price. That is a win-win and worth the trip. So I go to Encinitas Ford which is a ways out of my way. It started off good and they greeted me and were real friendly. Then the dealer that I was dealing with said that this other dealer was going to help me. He started using his sales tactics. ( I use to be in sales and know the tricks) I loved the car though, it had everything I wanted and was really wanting to get it. So we sit down and discuss number. I told him that I did not want to put anything down and would rather just finance it. I also have a really high credit score. He told me that he was going to get me a great price. I was really excited. Well when he came back with the initial numbers, he told me that with 9800 down, my monthly payments were going to be $150 than I wanted to pay. I looked at him and told him that I was told earlier it was going to be closer to only $50 more than I wanted to pay. He told me there was no way he could get it down to that. Well, with that response, I told him that I was not interested and he began the whole, what can you do spiel. I told him I want no down payment and the initial price I told him about. He then says well can you put down 5000 dollars. I looked at him and and was getting pissed. What part of no down payment does he not understand. So I politely said, look the numbers aren't right, I understand and I won't be buying the car. Then I informed him of the deal I made with Mary. He looks at me incredulously and says Ill talk to the owner, but Im not paying that. WHAT THE HECK??? I, in good faith was trying to buy this car and they were going to renege on our deal. I was pissed. They ended up not even filling my tank up halfway and said that was the best they could do. So naturally I was pissed, but I smiled and just left. Later that day, I get another call from another lady and I explain to her all that happened and she told me that is not how they do business. I told her that I tried to explain the numbers were not correct and tried to not go, but they made a deal with me and I was foolish enough to believe them. She said that she was going to try to make it right even if its a little and she told me she would call me back. You think they they called back? I never expected they would. Anyways, if they end up reading this my name is Dich Coles and I hope they realized that I am telling everyone I know never to go to that dealership.

Not only did I find a great deal on a Ford Certified F-250, I found an outstanding Family owned Ford Dealership that reminds you what buying a vehicle should be all about.. I had been searching for a 2010 F-250 and found it at a rock bottom price at this dealer. I drove from Sacramento to Encinitas (almost 1000 miles R/T) to buy this truck. I only had the confidence to do this after speaking to David Duncan (salesman), and the rest of the team at this dealership, about every aspect of the deal (Truck condition, Carfax results, Warranty options, Financing alternatives). We were able to put a deal together over the phone, and when I arrived, I spent a minimum amount of time making the purchase (about 90 minutes). I drove down Firday night, and drove home in a brand new (to me) Certified Pre-Owned F-250 the next day, before Noon. And did I mention the outstanding price they gave me for my trade-in? Well, needless to say, I am happy all around with this deal and ENCINITAS FORD. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE. Period.

I gave Encinitas Ford a five star rating because the customer service provided by Oscar and Maddy went far beyond my expectations. I really wanted a new hybrid Cmax but was concerned all that new technology would be too complicated for me. I prefer knobs and dials to computer screens. My salesman, Oscar set me up with Maddy their technology expert and she went over every system and answered about a hundred questions before I even began talking about purchasing a car from them. There was simply no pressure to buy from anyone. They spent a great amount time with me over the course of a week addressing each and every one of my questions and concerns and helped me find exactly what I wanted and would be comfortable with for the long term. They were inexhaustible in satisfying every last need and want of mine. Thanks to Oscar and Maddy I know I made the right choice and months later I'm still absolutely thrilled about my new Cmax.

First... the Ford Focus Hatchback Titanium is amazing! Second... when you finally figure out this is the coolest car out there AND gets the MPG that makes sense for San Diego make sure you go to Encinitas Ford. Their customer service is amazing. You actually get your own dedicated Sync Specialist that teaches you how to get the most of your new car. I got Maddi and she spent almost 2 hours with me going over every last detail of my car and how to use all the great technology with my phone. Hilariously fun and super informative.. she's got me set up to run down the super highway of life full speed ahead.

I bought a Ford F-150 here last year. The buying process was great but more than that they're still around for me and provide great customer service a year later. I work out of my truck so the Sync is very important to me. I stopped in to get help with my new phone and Maddie took care of me like always which is important for an old guy that keeps trying to keep up with this tech stuff.

This has got to be the worst dealership experience I've ever had! Their service department makes it clear that they have NO clue what customer service is about. We have purchased 3 cars from them and have had serious issues with the most recent purchase and their service department could care less. They keep your car for days on end as if you don't need it, they charge diagnostic fees even if they find nothing wrong with your car and they are plain RUDE!I will NEVER go to this dealership again for any reason and I will complain to Ford Corp and to the BBB about them. I would not recommend them to anyone! Do not go to this dealership!

After buying my "lemon" from a dealer in La Mesa, I was contacted by Eric at Encinitas Ford and assisted by Dooley in the sale of a Ford Fusion. I had just completed a bankruptcy and thought my being able to qualify to buy a car, without a cosigner (which I didn't have), would be an impossibility. Thankfully, I was wrong. Instead, I was fortunate enough to meet Oscar Morales at Encinitas Ford. I explained my financial situation, told him how much I could afford to pay and what I was looking for in a new car, and asked if he thought they could do anything for me. Both Oscar and the finance department at Encinitas Ford were absolutely WONDERFUL -- I was able to purchase a beautiful 2007 Hyundai Tucson! My buying experience with Encinitas Ford was effortless. Oscar did not haggle with me over the down payment or the monthly payments I could make -- yet somehow, he managed to get me exactly what I was looking for in a car. When the time comes to trade in my Tucson and get a new car, I will DEFINITELY be returning to see Oscar at Encinitas Ford.

To be fair, the people at Encinitas Ford were very nice and professional in atmosphere, but the lack of honesty is what hurt them in my purchasing. They were wiling to work to get me what I wanted, which was not an easy thing. But they appeared to use that as leverage in negotiations. They found what I wanted and priced it out well above a similar vehicle from another dealer. They didn't seem like they wanted to disclose the price, acting as if they were doing me a favor, calling the other dealer a liar, and putting themselves up as an honest establishment. When i calculated up what the bottom price for the vehicle was, it came back to nearly $53000 out the door with an MSRP of $48200 roughly. They never would give me the price, but some basic math of the payments, interest rate, taxes, etc gave that number. I ended up buying an almost identical vehicle that was only a few hundred less on MSRP for under $43000 out the door. Roughly $10000 less and they, though not seeming too happy, didn't accuse anyone else of lying to me, act as if I was an idiot, and realized when it was my price or no sale, the holdback was enough for them. Thirty minutes of negotiating got me invoice price, then $3500 in rebates, and 2.9% financing. Walk into Encinitas Ford and offer them invoice price or close to it and see what they say. They'll act in shock and tell you they have to make money. Then ask them about holdback. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. But if you do go there, do not fall for their tricks and do your research. The $10000 I saved going elsewhere was well worth it. Instead of payments over $600 a month, I went to about $450 on same terms, and a smaller down payment. I walked out of the other dealer in about 3hrs from walk in, new vehicle and all. I spent more at Encinitas to no avail. I've only purchased 5 new vehicles in my life, but Encinitas was the worst dealer I've dealt with.

Mark Wheeler, the owner, gave us very specialized, personal attention. We had an appointment and he was right on time. He was gracious, friendly, and helpful and made our transaction exceptionally smooth and easy. All of the employees we interacted with at the dealership were friendly, nice, and helpful. We would definitely recommend this dealership!

Went to Encinitas Ford to look at a Pre-Owned Lexus. They were friendly and helpful. The car was as described on Cars.com and was able to make a purchase. Finishing the deal took a little longer than I would like. I would be nice for them to come out with a bottom line price instead of haggling.

Mr. Weiss is very knowledgeable when it comes to my truck. He knows the business and is up front with me when it came down to expensive repairs. He is friendly and a person I've come to consider a good friend. The other service managers were great also. When Duke was on vacation, the other two stepped and assisted me.

I had a tremendous, low pressure buying experience. All my questions were answered and I was encouraged to return if not completely satisfied. Additionally, I was blown away with the progress Ford has made over the last several years. I am now considering a second Ford car and will gladly return to this dealership to purchase it.

Ms Ladytaz again. I had to bring my Tahoe back for repair for the same issue ever since I bought the car and drove it home the 1st day. Seems that their mechanics don't know what they are doing when it comes to fixing trade in cars they sell. The owner Glen doesn't like to answer the calls. He would rather avoid conversations with his customers. Especially, when they are calling back about repairs on their cars. They only have one mechanic according to Glen that is capable of working on Chevy's, but he is not there all the time and if you need it fixed, he'll tell you to better off take your car for the weekend cause he won't and no one else will put their hands on it on the weekend if it's not a Ford. I tried calling to get a rental cause I had planned for a trip way in advance and Glen promised my car after 4 days. So the 4 days ended up being 8 days and of course he declined for my rental. Instead of dealing with him as before, this last experience, he would avoid my calls and ask for other people to let me know what he thought. So in other words, he is a coward cause he will hide from talking to you. He asked someone to tell me he would be willing to pay some of the rental fees but I didn't feel I should cause it's a problem that they haven't fixed since I drove it home when I bought my car. I expected to not pay for it at all and Scott, another manager told me the offer on the rental is good after they are doing me the favor of not charging me for the $500+ job for the repair of my Tahoe. I told them its not a favor, it's something they should have to fix and take ownership cause I had the problem come up on my way home after buying the car and it's taken them more than 3 times to try to find the problem and fix it. To not say it's a favor cause it's not. (I know everyone expects that if you buy a car and the dealer can't figure out how to fix it and the 30 day warranty has passed, the consumers shouldn't have to pay for it.) I had to deal with Scott who got very defensive and through him I found out Glen was the owner and couldn't argue into getting a free rental, but again, Glen never returned any of my calls after asking several people to ask him to when I thought he was just a manager. After knowing he was the owner, I asked Scott to ask him again to give me a call, but I never heard from him. So I regret from buying my car at this dealership. They will do anything to get you in and once you buy the car, their customer service is the worse especially from the Glen himself whom I stated is the owner according to Scott. Hopefully this time, the repair time it them 8 days to have my car in the shop helps this time. But again, the weekend didn't count cause their only mechanic wasn't there or no one else is experienced to work on my car.

I have now leased two new Ford trucks and purchased one used vehicle from Encinitas Ford. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgable, the selection of vehicles is great. Very little pressure and I would recommend to any potential Ford buyers.

the owner, mark wheeler personally helped on the transaction which i thought was outstanding. also, jeff, my salesman, was very professional and accomadating. he went beyond the call of duty by informing me and also handling the paperwork, for a refund of my GAP insurance on the car i traded in. all around, an amazing experience! thank you ford. i was so impressed i bought a few shares of ford stock! keeop up the great work. us americans need sothing to be proud of!!!robert fleet

On my way home to El Cajon after buying it, the low oil pressure light came on and stayed continually on for over an hour. I had my other mechanic in John Hines check it out and found out the headlight assembly was broken as well as other parts that they had told me they did a 150 check point inspection and everything was fine. I was thinking if they check their cars like this, I know I am not the only one who was sold a lemon. I bought because my family and I needed an Suv and we were leaving out of town the next weekend. I had to really push to get a rental from them but they put me in a 4 people car instead of a bigger car like a SUV that I bought from them so my vacation was ruined. They kept my car for days and when I drove it home from picking it up again, they didn't fix the light cause it came back on again.They advised me to take it to another shop in San Diego. The owner of the shop told me to take it in on a friday and this time the dealer refused to pay for a rental so I tried to have them work on it before the end of the day. when it came so near to their shop closing, I had to get another ride to go pick it up because they didn't work on it at all, but they left my car smelling like cigarettes. They next week I took it in, I filled up my gas tank before I dropped it off and checked the milage right before I got off at their shop and left it with the manager. I called the manager after 4 hours and he told me to call the shop cause he wasn't there, he was only there when he received my car. I called the shop and spoke to the other manager and told me he didn't know the status but to call the 1st manager again. I told them they seem like they don't know what they are doing because both of them are telling me to call each other. I needed my car back before closing because I won't have a rental from the dealer for the weekend. I kept calling to check the status they told me it should have only taken 3-4 hours but they took all day and they went to test drive it again. I called and was told the driver was drive testing it for another hour now and then I can pick it up at 5:30pm. When I picked it up, my gas tank was low, about $25-$30 less used up, but the miles that were driven were only 22 miles from when I dropped it off. I know with that info, they stole my gas from my tank because 22 miles wouldn't have caused my gas to be too low as is was. Overall, dealing with the dealership finance rep, service manager and the san diego shop they referred me to, It was very stressful and wished I had never got my car from them. I would never recommend this dealer at all to anyone that I took off any Encinitas Ford license plates from my Tahoe already to not advertise for them. This was just part of my experience of me getting my car fixed. I tried to work with Eric trying to get the warranty taken off my loan. The first time I asked him was 4 days after getting my suv because my bank was giving me a better and cheaper warranty and lower apr of 6.48%. He never told me there were other paper work needed to be filled out. Since it was my first car purchase, I was new to it all. I kept calling the warranty to check if I can cancel the next day after I let him know and they told me only the dealer can cancel so I tried to speak to him to cancel it. I faxed in the paperwork he told me was needed to cancel in the beginning of Oct and tried calling the warranty company to check if the dealer had canceled and they kept saying no, so finally I got back to Eric and he told me "they dropped the ball and never sent it, but He would put a rush on it" on Oct 15. He knew my bank was waiting for them to cancel so Wachovia can receive the payoff check since Sep when I first told him to cancel but I am thinking that he never wanted me to cancel due to he gets paid too for selling it and that's why he wasn't so helpful. I had told him Oct 21 was the last day my bank had given me to be able to take over the loan. Then from there on, I had to deal with another person named Sharon and explain why I had the urgency of them paying off Wachovia by Oct 21. She told me they have to wait for century to send them a check of the difference, but when I spoke to century service, all the reps I spoke to told me they don't receive money, it's the dealer who got a check from Wachovia to pay off the car with warranty. The dealer once receiving confirmation from Century serv that it was canceled, the dealer writes the check of what the warranty costs and send it to wachovia to pay part of the loan. So Sharon lied to me. After I called her back to confirm what all the reps in Century Service had told me, she said that is not true and to change the subject, she said she sees the check on her desk that she got on Tuesday 10/20 but she was off on 10/21. My bank had given me an extra day to make sure Wachovia received a Encinitas Ford's check until 10/22 and because of all these mistakes encinitas ford reps made, it made me lose the chance of being able to have an APR of 6.48% with my bank and got stuck with Wachovia's 14.99%.Other Buyers beware. If you still plan to buy from them, be sure to use your own bank first. I was going with a Credit Union and the lowest was California Coast. Make sure that Eric doesn't foward the paperwork right away even if you tell him you are going with another bank because he will do it right away but according to my bank, it's because he gets paid to foward it first then the credit union can pay off the other bank.

I brought my vehicle in for service and when they did not have the correct part to fix a warranty item and could not complete the work in one day, I asked how I was going to get to work and around town, they said i could come and pick the car up and then drop it back off when the part came in. No mention of giving me a loaner or renting me a car. So I asked them if they could loan me a car, to which they replied NO. Simply put!<br><br>Now that is FORD Customer Service or what?
