Today, Monday, September 26 at 12:45p was my worst ever dealing with Evans Toyota, Fort Wayne IN. I've purchased two cars from Evans since 2011 and have had great service up until today when I was robbed of $90.00 for a diagnosis that was performed on my car when it was speculated/founded that the problem was from a loose gas cap (improperly recapped).Ben Walker was great and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with him. He was very courteous to hear my concern and admitted that he understood, although he asked me, at drop off, when was the last time I gassed up, but didn't explain that that was a possible reason to trigger the warning lights. On the contrary, the Service Manager, David Cornett, interrupted (unsolicited) to add his comments of how "unfortunately" (of which he said over and over, at least 4-5 times) this and that couldn't be done and rudely interrupted, not allowing me to finish my sentence. In much frustration of his approach, I refused to talk with him any longer, paid the $90 and walked away thinking of how I could avoid future rip offs.I referred my son to Evans, who purchased a car in December 2015 and recently, within the last month, a friend, who also purchased a car from Evans. I was hoping my loyalty/business was, at least, worth $90.00; however, I walked away with much disappointment feeling I was just another "nobody" to this dealership with no thought that this would be the last car I'd purchase from Evans and certainly won't be referring anymore people. So, buyer BEWARE!!!! If your check engine light and your AWD light comes on at the same time, go to Auto Zone, have them confirm the code AND turn off the warning lights for FREE and save your $90.00! Trust no one!

I was treated with respect and not like a "stupid woman" who doesn't know anything about cars. All the individuals I interacted with were friendly and considerate. The shuttle driver even pulled the Shuttle Van into the garage so I wouldn't have to get out in the rain and the man that took care of me when I arrived with my car was still there when I picked up my car and he also pulled the car into the garage so I wouldn't have to get out in the rain. Zach was the person that helped me on Saturday morning. He was very polite and patiently answered all of my questions. Zach used my coupon to give me the best deal and noted my worn front tires and helped me make an appointment to get new tires put on. I had my interior cleaned in May and the cleaning company took my rear mats out. I was not able to put them back in because it required that the rear seats of my van be taken out. Zach came outside, took the seats out and put both of my rear mats and the seats back in. He deserves a raise!

The staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. When I took my car in for its 25.000 miles check up, the work was completed within less than 24 hours. The bay doors even opened when I approached, so I just drove my car right in and got immediate service. Both Justin (who checked me in), and Cody(who checked me out, because Justin was working with another customer and they didn't want me to have to wait) explained the check up process as well as future recommendations. I asked shuttle to take me to the mall while my vehicle was serviced because the work was going to take around two hours. When my car was ready, the shuttle driver called to tell me he could not pick me up for another hour. The dealership sent another office employee to pick me up within 5 minutes. As I was paying for the bill, I noticed that a badly damaged wiper blade was missed during inspection. When I brought this to the attention of the associate, he made it right and did so very quickly.

This is the 2nd time we've rented a passenger van from Evans Toyota for a family trip. The people at Evans exceeded our expectations each time so I thought it time to give them credit. In early 2000's when we decided to buy a Toyota truck the two salesmen lied about what the truck had and what it could do, so we bought it from an honest Toyota dealer instead. Then there was a recall so I took the truck to Evans. The man working in service drove my stick into Evans garage and said that always makes me uncomfortable. I always think I am going to hit the wall, because I can't drive stick. The next experience was my spouse taking the truck in to check out a noise. The estimate they handed him was for over $4,000.00. They wanted to replace "all" of the parts underneath from the muffler, to catalytic converter, etc. So we went to a trusted auto repairman. He put the truck on a lift, hooked the engine diagnostic machine on it, called me in and said, you are missing a bolt and another one is loose. Diagnostic cost $85.00. Two bolts .10 cents. So which company would you trust? We bought a new truck 10 years later. I asked them for a price just to see what they would offer. The lies started again. We have one. They didn't. You can't get one cheaper than this, we did at another place. I think something is wrong is all of these reviews for them by others are all good. I couldn't have randomly had 4 bad experiences with them and only one good when I only dealt with them 5 times in 16 years and everyone else claims they only had good...hmm!

They constantly E-mail me "special offers" however once I come in to have my car worked on they NEVER honor the offer. Claiming they can't honor special offers... THEN STOP E-mailing me! Next they were to make a repair as part of my warranty. This issue was not fixed, they simply did a sloppy patch job. Now that my car is out of warranty I'm getting calls at least 2 times a week asking me to renew my warranty. I've repeatedly asked them to stop contacting me, they won't. I asked them how they know my information (when I got my car, the make/model, what warranty I had before and what dealer I got my car from) they got it from the dealer, Evans. My biggest regret in getting my car was going here. They get their claws in you and won't let go!

I called the service desk about the humming noise under my wifes car.. My call was returned with the information I needed about what it was. Its an evaporation leakage check. It only lasts a few min and I just happen to be there when it come on.. He also told me it was in the owners manual... page 21 for the camry.. All is well and we are happy with the car...

Ok went out to put the new plate on the wifes 2014.5 Camry and was hearing a buzzing noise from under the rear of the car... After looking in the trunk and in the back seat I squeezed under the car to find that it must of been the fuel pump.... NOW this car had been sitting for almost 6hrs... After a few min it shut off... Today the car has been sitting 3hrs and nothing... Ive called service department at Evans at 11:30 and put through to the voice mail... Will keep posted what is found... This is going to shorten the fuel pump life after warranty $$$ and put a strain on the battery.. Just thought others should know of the issue and this would of never been found if I just didn't happen to be there at that time...

I purchased my 2006 Prius new from Evan's Toyota. I have had it continually serviced since 2006 until today. I'm sorry to say this will be my last time here. I took my car in for an oil change, and wanted them to check a noise that happens when I turn the steering wheel right. They were going to charge me $97 to just diagnosis the sound. They later said that this might not cost as much as this, but that was the amount they wanted me to sign my name under. I don't trust any service departments that work this way - especially when all they have to do is LISTEN to the sound when my car is ALREADY there getting the oil changed. I didn't fall for this type of business, and decided not to get it checked out. A salesperson told me to go back to the service manager again and explain that I purchased my car at the dealership and have always serviced it there. I went back to the manager, but he didn't really care about my concerns. Upon paying for my oil change, another service person asked me about my experience and I told her what had happened, and then she said to bring it back to her and she would try again. I was completely surprised by this type of behavior by a dealership. I told her I would NOT be bringing my car back for anything. I would hate to see how they treat somebody that never bought a car from them and never went there for servicing. Highly discourage doing business with this company.

I come here mainly for service on my 2010 Toyota Camry. The workmanship, quality, and value are all top notch. Everyone in the service department knows me when I pull in, give professional recommendations if something is needed, and just deliver the best service. I can't comment on the sales department but I see a lot more cars from Evans Toyota than the other dealership in town. Everyone at the dealership is awesome except this one cashier named Milica who is just rude and nosy. My favorite cashiers are Becca and Linda who are very awesome and friendly and treat people like people with top notch customer service and wonderful people skills. I was referred by a friend of mine who is from Fort Wayne to come here and I can't thank him enough because Evans Toyota provides the best service for the buck and they have a 15% discount for cars that have over 100,000 miles which is always nice to keep vehicles running in their optimum performance. Everyone in the service department (current): Nick, Jordan, Craig, Dave, Marty, and Dan are exceptional at what they do with their superb customer service and friendly attitude. All the technicians are friendly and experts at their best in getting the job done right the first time. Overall Evans Toyota exceeds all my expectations and provides a superior benchmark of excellence. I wish my dealership in NY was like Evans Toyota in every way. You drive up to the building, park your car, and there are, at least 6 - 8 Sales people standing near the front door, but outside, ready to pounce on prospective buyers... this is a bit much. Finding a vehicle on cars.com I talked to them and let them know I was interested in a KIA sportage. Comming in from Columbia City they moved the SUV inside for us to look at so we didn't have to freeze. The test drive was was good and I was able to see what it would do. Everyone stayed after hours to complete the deal. They did a nice job of cleaning up the sportage. Jamie help us get a good deal and a nice family vehicle.

We ran into a few hick-ups after the fact that were not their fault and they went to bat to make sure I was fully taken care of (even though they did not need to do that). If you want to work with someone who honors their word, acts professional, goes the extra mile and cares about you as a customer, I recommend Will. In the process, you will get to work with Sales Manager, Herb Leffler, and he is a class act all the way around and will make the final details of the transaction smooth. He is definitely a keeper and Evans should be happy to have him there. I have been buying Toyotas for over 24 years and this was the smoothest set of purchase transactions I have ever had. OK, I found a truck on their site that I really liked, so I emailed them about it and decided to make an hour drive to buy it. When I get there I notice that the one key option Im looking for is not on the truck. I ask the salesman about it and he's looking all around for it, though it's obvious that it's not an option on this truck. Their AD has this option listed 3 times and in the description it's in BOLD print, so I didn't even think I needed to ask the question before I got there. The worst part is that instead of an apology I get, "for the price we're asking it shouldn't matter"....what??? The price was decent, but come on...have some couth...haha. Well, on to the next dealer...hopefully I'll have better luck.

Service has been excellent, the service writers have all demonstrated knowledge about our cars, have explained all options prior to service and have helped keep costs at a livable level. All aspects of dealing with Evans, including a great informational dinner for recent purchasers, indicate a drive to provide quality service. I brought in my vehicle in because the "tire pressure" light was on. I asked if they would check the pressure. That's all. I assumed that I would be in and out, but it took an hour from the time I arrived to the time that I left, and although there was no charge, I could not get my keys until I had visited the the cashier, which was another wait in line. There was nothing wrong with my tire pressure or my tires, but it would cost $100 for service to hook up my car to the computer and tell me that there was a bad sensor. Really? Isn't that considered highway robbery?

I asked Evans about buying a specific model new car. They did not have it in stock, but we were able to agree on a price and I made the deposit. A few days later, they delivered the correct car, found at an Illinois dealer. I endured the usual sales pitch for dealer installed options, service plans, etc. It was low pressure and informative and remained friendly as I refused all offers. The document signing process was very smooth and the sales rep did a fine job of introducing the features of the new car. The customer service manager has been very helpful. It would be difficult to improve on this experience. I don't expect to visit the service department for another five months, but I anticipate they will be great.

I recently took my 2012 Camry Hybrid in for its first check. I was given an appointment at the time I requested, greeted by my first name on arrival and completed the preliminary information within minutes. I was called at its completion less than 30 minutes later and the check up was at no cost. This is the second Camry Hybrid that I have owned and have always gotten excellent service and advice regarding any questions I asked. I would highly recommend Evans Toyota to anyone considering their services.

Though usually friendly and polite, the employees seemed to brush me off and treated my service as just another thing on their to-do list for the day. I can not compliment Evans Toyota's Service Department enough. Recently, my husband's headlight went out and I took his car in to have them change the bulb. They got me right in. My 9 month old son and I waited in the comfortable lounge area. We did have problem that was all our fault. My husband didn't think his lights were working the next day. I called and spoke to the manager. He offered and to send someone to my husband at his work to pick up the car so they could fix it. However, my husband was able to take it in and they showed him what he was doing wrong. (I think his brights were on so he could not make any other changes to the lights. Once the brights were off, they worked as usual.)

My wife and I were ready to purchase a 2013 Corolla LE and contacted Evans through the internet. Chris Noble, an internet sales consultant at Evans, called us up and we discussed price right over the phone prior to coming into the dealership. He was very up front and honest with us about the total price of the car. When we came into the dealership, he was very respectful and worked hard to meet our needs. Evans had all of colors to choose from as they have huge inventory of Toyota's, so they had the color that I wanted. Chris spent extra time going over how to work the accessories in the car, which was awesome. When we went to buy, the price was exactly what we had discussed. To complete our buying experience we stopped in to see the accessory guy and finance guy, both we very nice and did not pressure us to buy anything extra. I had my 20,000 mile service performed yesterday for no cost since I purchased the car new within 2 years ago. I also asked to have my clock set to correct time and my bluetooth dials set with my voice and other changes. I appreciated the expertise and the time the service people devoted to my electronic requests. They also handled the oil change and tire rotation advising no problems existed.

I had my Prius in for the recall repairs. Several others repairs were noted, but were not fully explained to me or the urgency of the repairs. I don't know what "reseal front cover" means but judging by the suggested cost of over $800, it must be something that is important. I will check back with the service technician on this, but it would have been good to have a better idea of what this was and how important it was to have this service done.

I used to hate taking my car in for service until I purchased a Toyta Prius from Evans. The staff is courteous and helpful and the waiting area is comfortable with oversized chairs and even a fireplace! My husband says he could take a nap waiting on the car.

After I have explained all services to be done, I get a call to do other work. It is always an expensive repair, which is always over $150 or more. I am on a limited budget. I do have a friend who knows car repairs and had him check the same extra repairs requests and can not find the same results. Makes me wonder if it is a way to get more money out of me!????

Just had my '08 Avalon transmission serviced at EvansToyota. Service was good and even provided shuttle service to and from my work place. Just wish they would stop trying to sell me an expensive cabin filter. Excellent work.

I purchased my car from this dealership and was extremely happy with the buying process and excellent customer service we received at the time we purchased our new vehicle in May 2012. A part came missing from armrest, and the dealership was able to locate and order the part quickly, and within two business days the part came in. The sales people were friendly and the service was great. I am very happy with the repair that was done on my vehicle. The only thing that could have improved my experience would have been a correct quote for the part. I was quoted 6 dollars for the cost of the part when it was ordered, and it was installed the part actually cost almost 13 dollars.

Had to get my passenger side mirror fixed. Evans promptly got my part in and appointment scheduled. I ended up getting called into work the night before and accidentally slept through my initial appointment. Chris Robinson left me a message and said we can do later today or reschedule for another day. Got in there the same day. The replacement mirror looks fantastic and was done in just 45 minutes, well within the 1 hour mark they said it would be. I had my kids with me, so that was nice to get in and get out. I also appreciated Chris' story about his own "garage vs car" story. He is always very professional and pleasant to deal with.Only thing I would have improved (as a type A personality, Mom, and RN) playroom toys showing alot of wear. I would replace them or make sure to sanitize more frequently and there was mashed donut all over the carpet in there. However, it is awesome to have a designated toy area with a TV to occupy the kids.

The person who wrote up my service order, Deb Miller, was very helpful. She tried to call me while I was shopping/eating and I didn't answer. Therefore, when I returned to the dealership I had to wait for an alignment. It was no problem for me and I appreciate being asked to authorize anything other than what we had talked about when I dropped the car off. No one likes surprises.

...the upselling through the service department. We take our two Toyotas in for their scheduled maintence like clockwork. Every time we take them in we are told about items that "need" done even if we've already done them. We feel like they don't check the records on our vehicles before they call, so we can only assume they're trained to upsell even if it doesn't need it. That's our only complaint, and in fact it happens so often that it's a joke in our house. "I dropped the Tundra off this morning, I gave them your number this time so you can get the upsell call." Other than that we LOVE Evans Toyota and will always buy/lease/service through them.

I live in Warsaw, IN, 33 miles from Ft. Wayne IN. The difference between the Toyota dealership in Warsaw and Ft. Wayne is like night and day. The service counter help in Warsaw sit like a bump on a log have and the personality of a pencil. Evans Toyota is a very busy dealership, Warsaw is not. I would think the Warsaw service department would have the ability to give much more time to each customer. Evans Toyota is very busy, but found them very informative and helpful. I won't be going back to Warsaw Toyota, I will use Evans.

I HAD MY FRONT BRAKES REPLACED BUT WAS NEVER TOLD UP FRONT THAT A LIFE TIME WARRENTY ON MY NEW BRAKE PADS WOULD COST ME $10.00. I had a '92 Camry years ago and loved it. We went to look at a Camry Hybrid for my husband, and we left with 2 new hybrids - the Camry for me, and a Prius for him. The purchase experience (Thanks, Will Sears) was great. Ordered some accessories on Saturday and they came in on Tuesday, just had the first service and I can say every aspect of this dealer is topnotch. The cars are outstanding (the hybrids meet or exceed the advertised MPG - sorry, Hundai...).Overall, we're thrilled with the experience.

I have a brand new car I recently bought from Evans Toyota and in that short amount of time since, I must say that in all my encounters with the Service dept, I have found each person to have been friendly and helpful. They have demonstrated that they actually LISTEN to the customer and show that they care, trying to satisfy concerns and needs. Everyone from Lenny and Dave Cornett on down. This makes for a good working relationship and quite different from another dealership's less professional 'service' dept. Kudos to Dave, especially! Thank you!

I am extremely happy! Went to look at one vehicle. When I got there was told that it had sold, which was disappointing but it all worked out for the better! So Avery asked what I wanted in a car and I said my daughter wanted a moonroof since she thinks they are fun, and i wanted a 4x4 due to traveling this winter. I had a price range which really wasn't much to work with and yet Avery went to talk to the manager and they said if I liked the Nissan Murano I could take it for the price I was looking for. I was extremely happy and the process was painless! Highly recommend this dealership. I did not feel pressured at all!

They are also very close in time that it will take for repairs/oil changes. Bought my Camry from Evans, Ft. Wayne and had a couple service items that needed taken care of. Went to the service dept. today and was promptly greeted and after the service items were documented my car disappeared. I was given an estimated time the car would be ready and offered a ride with their shuttle service, which I promptly accepted. I arrived back at the dealership at the estimated completion time and the car was ready to go. After a few minutes of the necessary paper work I was headed home. I was in for my first 5,000 mile routine check for my new Corolla I bought in April 2012. I could only get in for the servicing after work at 5:30pm and the team was still on the ball and so nice. They had me out of the lot in 35 minutes with no problems. I had the Zurich shield added to my Corolla (a clean gaurd basically) They even took care of a pet stain in the back seat without knowing about it prior. I could have done it myself but they did it right away. The service team has carried on where the sales team left off: with great service and wonderful knowledge. I am so thankful for the Toyota Care from my dealership!

Had the 30,000 mile service on my Sienna van. Service explained during write-up and when an additional item arose, I was called to discuss before proceeding. Although the total service is a bit pricey, the work was done well. A warranty item was worked on, but had to order parts. When contacted, an appointment was also scheduled for returning for the needed repair.

Chris Robinson in Service has been a gem to work with. He understands that I am planning to keep the car in tip-top running order and am not expecting to trade regularly. He gives me good advice and takes care of whatever my car needs - and he knows what it needs a lot better than I do. Too bad the parts are so expensive...and I still wonder why hatch shocks are worn out after only 3 years!....hope this set lasts longer. (Matrix is a 2009). Very good service, though.

Prius was in for a routine 80,000 mile maintenance service. As always, scheduling was handled promptly and courteously. During the maintenance process, a water pump leak was discovered and reported during my wait in the pleasant lounge area (Coffee, donuts, comfortable seating and clean restrooms were appreciated). I also appreciated the information provided (cost, time frame, prognosis). I took advantage of the courtesy car to complete some shopping. I was pleased that the repairs were completed in a shorter time than anticipated. As usual, a pleasant experience.

If you are looking 4 wheel on demand, this is the auto you would want to check into. We researched all of the other auto's with this feature and found that the RAV 4 was the best buy. Evans gave us a great deal and the first service of oil change and tire rotation was just as great.

Recently purchased a new '12 Camry Hybrid and loving the mileage. As advertized, hitting the 40mpg mark almost every time I drive. 3 wks of total driving at over 38mpg. Owe some applause to JAKE for setting me up in this car - knows his stuff on cars and answered every concern I had. * Went back this week and found a '11 Camry for a family member and got a great deal on it! Pre-service quoted price remained the same. Was given a courtesy call to inform me that water pump was leaking and needed replaced but was done under warranty at no additional cost. Was informed of new pick up time (30 minutes extra) so that pump could be replaced. Everyone was very courteous and time frames were accurate.

So after having the car for less than a week we call them and asked if we could trade up for the other car on their lot. While at Evans for an oil change we were informed of a need to replace a serpentine belt. We appreciate being informed of a potential problem,but do not appreciate a little attitude from the service writer/advisor when informed that we did not believe the repair needed to be done that day.

The receipt listed recommendations that we "refused", only we were never informed of these recommendations. Only the ones they chose to mention. We have always given them our business. Apparently the tires have needed replacing the last 2 visits. Something is LEAKING but who knew? Disappointed. Misrepresentation of information. I may have to take my car elsewhere to have the repairs made.

I took my 2007 Camry in for an oil change and maintenance. The service department brought a leaking axle seal to my attention. After confirming that the repair was under warranty, the service department secured the part the next morning and made the repair in less time than estimated. The service department is staffed by friendly, informative, helpful professionals. I was impressed.

I have my 2009 Prius in to Evans Toyota for my 60,000 mile service work. Keith Damer, Assistant Service Manager, greeted me and took all the necessary information. He gave me an estimate of the charges and the estimated completion time. He called me when the car was done and it was done 1 and 1/2 hours eary. It= was very pleased with the service and the time completed.

The guys who greet you when you drive in the garage are always friendly. Over the years that we have serviced our cars there we have always been taken care of by the same technician, which I appreciate much more than someone new with each appointment. I menitioned to our Service Manager Chris Robinson, that in about 2 months I would be wanting to purchased another vehicle. He asked price range and what was the most important item to us. Being full figured, I said comfort. After 2 months I was contacted and asked if I wanted to stop by to look at a couple of vehicles they had gotten in as trade-ins. The first had a sun roof and wasn't "the" car. The second a 2008 Camry was perfect and we purchased it that week (under Blue Book Value too!). I purcased a 2011 Ford Edge with 10,000 miles on it from the dealer. The sales person was unfamiliar with this car and the operation of its options. I wanted an Edge with navigation which I was told by the salesman if I purchased an SD card for $115 the navigation will work. After purchasing the car I purchased the SD car but the navigation did not work and ther is no way to make it operational on this car. I am very disappointed that the sales person did not know anything about the operation of these options.

We called to see if they could get us in to look at our brakes. They said yes we are not busy today just come on in. So we go in there and we waited an hour before they even got it on a lift. Then I had to keep going out to the service center to see if they had got the tires off yet. Their reply..not yet, but soon. So they come and get me show what's going on. They said they would call me with an estimate. When they called not only did they give me prices on the brakes, but 8 other things. Their qoute was VERY high and the advisor (Dale Gustin) was VERY PUSHY and RUDE. Treated me like a "girl", as if I didn't know what I was looking at. (I worked at Midas for many years...I KNOW brakes! Some repairs they said NEEDED done did not need done. We will NEVER go back. If you are a lady...you had better take a guy with you or you will be taken advantage of!

I took my Toyota Camry in for it's routine service visit. Chris got my car in right away. I had a question about a scuff mark on my rear driverside fender, and he checked it out right away. It just needed to be buffed out. I was amazed at how fast they were able to do the routine service, and the buffing of the fender. Chris is always very friendly and willing to go over and above to take care of the customers needs.

I genuinely believe that overall Customer Service within Toyota Dealership is friendly. However, I recently brought in my Prius because something was wrong with the review mirror Camera and the problem wasn fixed. I now have to bring my car back to have it checked out. I am usually satisfied with my service from Toyota, but unfortunately it is a hassle to have to bring your vehicle back to Service Repair when you just had it there the day before. I also noticed when I asked what they did to diagnose the concern the explaination wasn't very suttle and the person seemed to rush so they could get me taken care of.

He always goes above and beyond and has earned my wife and i respect. We followed him from his previous toyota dealer job which i wont mention by name to his current at evans toyota. I delivered my car at 11:45 AM requesting Toyota provide a ride to a nearby restaurant by noon, which they promptly provided. My car was easily ready for pick up by the time I finished my meal. The agent also showed me how to set my car clock since I had not since the recent time change which was great to enable me to avoid studying the manual to do so.

The service personnel were polite, helpful and listened to my requests very well. I had a slow leaking tire...it was discovered to have a nail in it...except for their computer system going down, it was a fairly short visit. They could have replaced the tire and I wouldn't have known any different but they were honest and only repaired the flat for a small fee. I am new to this dealership and so far I am impressed.

I dropped my car off without even having an appointment and they completed the 4 wheel alignment, tire rotation and balancing by noon and even identified a potential problem with one of the tires and addressed it as well. Dale Gustin, Service Advisor, performed an excellent job listening to our reasons for car being service (a couple electrical issues with car and oil change) and explaining what they/he were/was going to do.
