We purchased a small used Class C from Finley Truck and RV in January of 2021. It was our first RV, and we went with a dealership over a private sale because we thought they would be more trustworthy. The problems started immediately after we arrived home (a 2-hour drive away). The furnace would cycle, but not actually fire and provide any heat (it worked when we did our final walkthrough at the dealership). When I called Finley they said they couldn’t do anything over the phone, and wouldn’t try a video chat to see if I could fix the problem. So, I had to take a day off to drive back there for them to look at it and find the air intake was clogged with dried mud (something we probably could have sorted out remotely). They cleaned it out, but not a word of apology while I sat in their uncomfortable waiting room. That’s how it went for the next 6 months. All kinds of problems showed up – things that “were checked” like a leaking hot water heater that had to be replaced, and things that were “in great shape” like the radiator that failed just 3,000 miles after purchase. The black water tank was clogged with decomposing fabric. But the most frustrating part was all the little maddening things that show how careless the dealership is (no anode in the hot water heater, cracked insulation on power cord, leaking termination cap, bad shower hose, etc.). These are simple fixes for a dealer – they probably keep those kinds of parts in stock. But none of them were fixed because they just didn’t care, and we (foolishly) believed them when they said things were well taken care of. Our interaction with them was unhelpful, bordering on rude - basically telling us we should have bought the warranty.

Austin was a great help. I drove 6.5 hours to purchase a motorcycle they had. Austin answered all of my questions before I arrived and made the process go smoothly. It was worth the trip and I would recommend them to any of my friends

We dealt with a salesman on a boat they had for sale on the lot just before closing time. We spoke with the service manager who happened to be the previous owner of the boat, and he mentioned if we were serious buyers, he could bring it in the shop and hook to water so we could hear it run. It was closing time so we said we would talk it over and let them know. We decided that evening we were going to purchase the boat and let them know in the morning. We stopped in just as they opened the next morning and said that we would like to buy the boat and we could be back that afternoon to hear it run and close the deal. We set a time and the price was agreed upon. Mid day we get a call from the owner saying he has decided to keep the boat for himself, also justifying because he called us himself made him an honorable person. This was the most terrible dealership experience I have had in my 45 years. We have been looking for 3 years at boats, and finally found what we were looking for. Then the rug was pulled from our feet a few hours before we were to finish the deal. There is absolutely no integrity associated with this business. The customer is not their priority, just themselves. I don’t wish this terrible experience on anyone.

I called Thomas about a truck they had for sale upon opening. I had cash in hand, explained I just wanted to see additional photos and I would purchase it. Thomas says I'll get those photos to you yet this morning. 3 hours later Thomas texts to inform me he had someone come and take it for a test drive. Thomas then proceeds to sell the truck out from underneath me. Shady, Buyer Beware.
