We, my wife and I, had called and spoke to Bernie early in the day about a 2007 Subaru Outback that had just come on the lot the week before. We set up an appointment and thankfully we did because when we got to the dealership there was another couple that was looking at the same vehicle and because we set up the appointment we were able to test drive and purchase it! I really appreciated Bernie's honest and direct manner. There were no pressure tactics that he placed on us or gimmicks. On side note, as we were leaving we were we were offered a snack of pizza, Which was nice! We are hopeful the car will prove to be as it seems-- in good working order with no major defects!

My wife and I recently purchased a used car at Fortune Motor Group. We worked with Dan who was extremely easy to work with. After getting tugged around at other dealers, where we saw cars in really poor condition and got beat up over the price of these cars, FMG was exactly what we needed. The car was in really good condition, well maintained, and had been serviced well at the dealership. There was very little back and forth on price, and I think both parties got a fair deal. Dan was transparent and friendly. There was no high pressure sales at all. Just a good car at the right price and we drove it off the lot that morning. I also appreciated that the dealership covers a 3 month warranty in the price of the vehicle, which put us a little more at ease when buying used. I would definitely recommend.

I am a buyer who has no real credit built, having never bought a vehicle with financing I was very worried about if I would even be able to get Financing. Bernie worked for days to get in touch with any bank that would finance me. Through out each step of the financing and buying process Bernie was in touch with me, via text and phone calls, giving me updates and letting me know what the prognosis was on my chances of getting my Prius were. His persistence paid off for me in a huge way. He was able, through hours of hard work to get me into my dream vehicle. In side of three days the gentlemen were able to get me the financing brought down to a monthly price I was able to afford, get me into my new vehicle and out the door. These guys have been wonderful and knowing that they are a phone call away if I have questions is really a great feeling. None of this would be possible if the people working at Fortune Motor Group had not been willing to go the extra mile.

Wow, an honest used car lot where I got a good car at a good price with no hassles at all- I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop but I don't think it will! My wife and I had a great experience here and hope to enjoy our Land Cruiser for many years. I looked at 5 of these LCs and these guys had the most honest one that I could find, right in my back yard from Libertyville. Correct patina everywhere, nothing hidden or touched up from stem to stern. A good, honest car. Thanks guys.

I took my time to purchase a new used car: about 2 years browsing Cars.com. And I'm really glad I came to Fortune; they were radically different from what I was use to at other dealers. Before them, I had visited many other dealers, where the salesmen were always pushy: uncomfortably pressuring me to close sales on the spot. My experience at Fortune was completely different. I arrived anticipating the same, but to my surprise the salesmen were respectful and patient. I spent half a day there; just sitting, thinking about my purchase and studying the employees... these were honest workers in a good office atmosphere. At one point I even compared car prices with Dan on cars.com. I left the lot with a 2007 bmw 228i and a huge grin on my face. If you want to feel good about the price you pay and the car you purchase, come to these guys. They certainly got my business for life. And my car is exactly what I wanted.

I regret ever going to this place. I purchased an Infiniti QX 56 and it broke down the very next day. They promised to fix it but the day the truck was picked up, the service engine soon light came on. So frustrating. The service department became very nasty and I'm still having issues with the truck. They make you write a Cars.com review the same day of purchase, pathetic. Don't waste your time.

I enjoyed working with the salesman very much. He was helpful and polite. I felt well taken care of. I really appreciate being able to talk with a mechanic directly as he was performing some maintenance on the vehicle. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and inviting in conversation. The only reason customer service was not excellent is because I had to wait a long time for repairs to be done and never had a good idea of how long the repairs would take. I didn't even know there were repairs to be made to the vehicle. However, I am glad that the repairs were made. A few glow plugs were replaced.

Respectful, no-pressure sales will win me over every time! I'm not much for mid-lane-change sales pitches, so I really appreciated being able to test out the cars on my own. Ricardo entrusted me with several of the cars on the lot, and once I came back in, gave me plenty of time to mull over my notes and decide on how to proceed. It was also a refreshing change to be able to waive the dealer warranty and other extras on the first "no"! Sadly for Fortune, I expect I'll be driving the TDi for years to come - but I'll be recommending them to my local friends :)

The worst, I bought a car from them last November it has not been a year yet and the car gave me so much problems I ended up taking it their shop which the repairs have gone from 900 to 1500 and now 1900 and the car has been there for a month now last time I called to get an update they told me that is now an electrical problem it has to go to the vw dealer and that will be another 1000 for a grand total of 3000 without tax that's how much I've paid so far for the car since I got it.

Generally, had a good experience shopping for a replacement is300 from this dealer. I'm very picky and very knowledgeable about the is300 model so I knew what to look for and I knew what I wanted. Friendly staff. I worked with Ryan on a Honda S2000... he showed a lot of patience while the deal was being worked out. The dealership itself is a bit tiny but they make up for it with their hospitality. I would say you are well suited to look for a car here. It isn't the most amazing experience I've had but they werent lacking in any areas. Just what I expected from a small dealership.

Front end hidden damage

Bought a vehicle that had been hit in the front end and the damage was hidden. Many flaws in the vehicle both mechanically and visually. Hood visor installed over a dent and large gash in hood. The grill was cracked under the hood and repaired with glue and washers. Trailer hitch ball and receiver was missing, trailer wiring harness was cut and missing. Brakes were improperly serviced at install, had to be redone within 3 months after they were just done. Body damage repairs alone estimated at almost 1,000. Watch what you buy from here.

I'm not one to write a review but it was suggested from an employee at Fortune Motor as a "token of appreciation" so why not. At first glance i saw their website was appealing and informative(free carfax!) and they also had three cars that came up in my search. After talking to Dan i felt comfortable to make a 2.5 hour drive to see the Cars i was looking at and i really didnt know what to expect as most of my previous car buys have been from a private party. I admit i was looking for any excuse to leave but the furthur i looked into their operation, the more at ease i felt. I actually believed they cared about my concerns and were more than patient with me. I still am pinching myself after finding my sweet ride thinking it was too good to be true...It's been two months since purchase and i couldnt be happier..Keep up the good work! You've earned a customer for life.

I call them twice before I came - last time just 40 min in advance - They sad me "Yes, This car is here" After I drive 28mi. they found this car was sold few days before.No compensation for useless drive and gas spent was offered. Be aware dealing with such sloppy people.

The finance manager got me a surprisingly low rate and seemed to work very efficiently inspite of my not so perfect credit rating. Just bought a new jeep, before even purchasing it the vehicle was advertised as excellent condition with new tires. When I got there the vehicle needed two rear tires, the rear brakes were worn out an making noise and worst of all the vehicle had a check engine light on. They promised to fix the engine light n brakes, after requesting new rear rotors the brakes are ok but before I could even leave the dealer the engine light came back on and there putting the bill on me and telling me to take it to a dealer near me. Caution yourself before buying or servicing here, these vehicles do not go through any type of inspection and I'm questioning if they just don't clean them an put them directly on the lot. Sales staff was friendly and finance was easy but service is worse than I've ever experienced, why go into a loan with a used car if your gonna have to spend 1000's for a ext warranty and then use it right away?! Just buy from a big name dealer atleast they will back there vehicles. There prices are at or below market value cause they don't fix or put any money into them. Inspect and get a lower price out of them to help cover costs!

3 weeks ago i bought a 2004 trail blazer from this dealership. The car died in the city coming back to my home area. I payed to tow it 51 miles to my town. I went to the dealership to see what they would do to repair the truck. I was told to tow it to them at my expense and what ever needed to be done they would let me know and would charge me to repaire it. I have not even payed the first payment on this car. They do not stand behind the cars they sell to you. i am now with no car that my repair shop says i need a transmission , and 2 years of payments. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. A lawyer will now be my next step. If I can stop them from taking advantage of one other women this experience was worth it.

Found car on cars.com advertised $1000-$1500 less than i had seen in a 250 mile search. Traveled from MN and thought the car was too good to be true or how bout not even there. The Car was not only there but was in better condition than i expected. i was impressed by their facility and everyone we dealt with was pleasant and put no pressure to buy as every other Dealer did. Definitely worth the trip!
