Matt Willsey and Julia Leonard were both great. Julia knew that Matt would be a good fit for me personally as a sale person. Matt was a great sales person. He wasn't pushy, was easy to talk too, and was nice to work with. The few other personal I was involved with also were very nice (JB, Jeff, & Dave). Overall, the staff did something right because I wasn't totally looking for a new car. The thought was there but Fox Honda made it impossible for me to say "NO".

I was interested in purchasing a 2010 Porsche 911 4S and I asked a few more questions about the car. Although the response was quick, only some questions were answered with very little detail. When I requested the same answers to the previous questions I submitted, the response was that the questions were answered. The 3rd time that I asked, the response was it was hard to get additional photos since the GM was driving the car.. I took that as the GM was driving the car as a personal vehicle. That might not be true, but that is how I understood it. I lost interest in the car especially since the additional photos were never sent.I know it is not a Porsche dealership, but if they really wanted to sell the car, I think they should have taken these questions a little more seriously.No, I would not recommend this dealership because the lack of customer service

Paul was not the usual pushy/aggressive salesman type. He was down to earth, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Jeff, the finance guy, was not aggressive either. On a vacation from our hometown of Rockton, IL to Montreal Canada, our 2006 Honda Odyssey with 128,000 miles suffered a catastrophic engine failure leaving our family of 5 stranded on interstate 90 near Auburn NY at 5:00 am. We asked the tow truck driver to take our van to a Honda dealer. He mentioned that there were 2 Honda dealers in the area, one in Syracuse NY and Fox Honda of Auburn NY. He strongly recommended Fox Honda. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation. Fox Honda tried very hard to repair the engine to get us on our way but in the end it proved to be cost prohibitive to repair and wiser to buy a new van. Fox Honda did not take advantage of our unfortunate and vulnerable position. Quite the contrary Fox Honda endeavored to accommodate our family in every way possible during the 2 days we spent among them while they assessed the condition of our disabled van and while we struggled to evaluate our options. Their salesperson Mr. Mike Columbus was very patient giving us the space necessary to make a decision as a family without pressuring us into a decision. Mike allowed us to use one of their courtesy vehicles overnight and to get away to reflect on our options. Mike worked tirelessly to find ways to get us a generous discount on a new van and a very attractive financing package. He also arranged to waive service fees incurred to evaluate the damage on our old van. In the end we opted to buy a new 2016 Honda Odyssey. My family have owned and driven Hondas since 1982. This unfortunate misadventure will not shake our loyalty for Honda. Honda cars and Fox Honda form a winning combination. If you're in the market for a new vehicle and live in proximity to Fox Honda you should feel at complete ease to take your business to Fox Honda and work with Mike Columbus. Nice place to find out what is wrong with your vehicle. Andy, the service manager, helped me out one morning to figure out why my car was vibrating while braking. He did an extensive search as to why and gave me a set of choices of what I could do. Although pricy, but you get what you pay for, this isn't Monroe...Would love to work with him more in the future if push came to shove. Honest, and didn't beat around the bush. He also noted taking care of my driver door speaker that was not working properly. Very happy with this. Thanks again.

My experience this time was fine but last November for an oil change it was all together different. I was told there was on charge as it was under warranty -I explained I had finished the lease and bought the car in the spring but she said no charge. A few days later I received a message on my phone that I was right and owed the bill. I ignored that and received another call about a week later. I was upset over that but paid it by giving her my credit card number over the phone. I have that reciept I still feel I should not have paid. It was not my mistake. I also was not pleased with my treatment when I paid off the car. My son was with me that day. It was very unprofessional .

Our salesman, Christian, helped us decide what vehicle would serve our needs. We had thought we wanted Honda Sensing- Christian gave us a very detailed description of how it worked, answered our questions thoroughly so we could decide Honda Sensing really didn't fit our driving needs. We were also undecided between a Pilot and a Highlander, even though we have had two Pilots. We test drove the Pilot over to the Toyota dealership, placed both vehicles side by side for comparison, and as we started to test drive the Highlander, we decided on the spot, the Pilot was our choice. We did not have to go between dealerships, we could compare and make our decision quickly based on the side by side comparison. A great idea. Also the sale was easy, "made the deal we wanted to make" so we bought the Pilot.

I went in to make a deal and showed the dealership my very reasonable offer and asked them not to insult me with a lowball figure. Well I sat there and waited quite a while as they played there game of getting the deal of the century ready for me. In the mean time I was trying to figure out what could possibly be taking so long as I know the offer that I put before them was a win for them as I don't like to haggle.After a period of time there messenger (sales person) came back with the results and said to me exactly what I asked them not to do.... yes they just lowballed me big time. At this point my wife got up, left the dealership and went back back to our car, not happy to say the least. I wasn't far behind her.Nearly three hours wasted between picking out the vehicle, test driving, inspecting vehicle and playing the game inside the dealership. Not to mention I just drove that so called short trip that Sharon Fox advertised on her TV commercial to shop. Do you think I was serious about buying?Very true story, the wife and I headed back towards Syracuse and stopped into the Liverpool location Honda dealership, we put the same deal on the table for them and they accepted our offer with no games!! Serious.My advice, save your time and shop elsewhere.

Fox Honda? I hate to say it, but i am a dissatisfied customer and no longer a continuing customer.We purchased a 2015 Honda Accord V6 in cash in August. This was our second vehicle purchase from Fox Honda in Auburn.While I can say the salesman Mike Columbus was really awesome, the paperwork was by far the biggest headache of the car buying process EVER. This is probably the second bad review i've been compelled to write in my life, which says something.-During the process we had to turnback the papers multiple times (4-5) because names were not coming out correctly. They were even fixed on our end, and they were returned to us with error that were what we just fixed and had to keep sending back. Errors included simply putting two names on the document, getting the correct mileage on the new car.-The price finance gave us to pay was different when we arrived the second day, higher by a 100 dollars or so. The problem was resolved and you did accept the number you gave us before. But that's quite dirty of a business to do something like that.-You called us back to the dealership in Auburn from Cortland to make us sign paperwork 9 days after the transaction for the DMV because you mentioned it was signed incorrectly. This was 2 hours driving and gas money gone. We were not compensated or offered any compensation.-The car was delivered with minor blemishes that included small cracks in the paint from what i can imagine was the bird crap i asked to get cleaned off that may have been on there for a very long time, a dent in the frame by the windshield mid way up, and a squeaky gear shifter. While this may not be your fault and very minor, we did schedule an appointment to inspect it, but sadly nothing was done because the shifter was squeaky due to a design flaw, and the paint could not be fixed because the service department was too busy.-The title we received after signing multiple papers in two names was under one name only. We called to resolve the problem and the person who called us back said it would cost us money to get taken care of. We shouldn't have to pay for something that we continued to insist on during the buying process that we are purchasing it under two names. You'd think a dealer would be looking out for the customer.-I feel as if i could have done a lot less negotiating for a better deal elsewhere for both the car and the trade in after the fact.These small annoyances allow me to say I will never shop here or get my car serviced here in spite of these really annoying errors in paperwork that just kept happening over and over again. I will also be removing your dealer sticker off the back of my car because I really don't want to keep remembering this. I'm not mad, i'm just really annoyed because getting this straightened out just keeps slowly annoying me. Please understand that these situations have lost you one customer for good. You will lose more if you keep this up if you haven't lost that business already because most people will not send this dissatisfaction back. Please improve the paperwork process for others and reduce the amount of errors in them because there is no way I am the only one experiencing this.To end on a good note, you do have some happy and fairly decent mechanics working here that I would recommend to people, but I just don't want to give you any more of our money from this experience to get a vehicle serviced here even though the service is good.

Brought my 07 Aveo here to have my check engine problem diagnosed and fixed. Was told that I had a "ruptured pipe" that was causing the problem, was told that this repair wasn't covered by my extended warranty. Paid for the repair without a problem. Less than 24 hours after they gave my car back, the light came back on. Service refused to refund my money for the previous repair because "well the pipe still needed replacing and things happen" yeah...sure..."things happen" when you take my money yet still didn't actually fix the problem I brought my car there for. I let them have it and decided to have the problem further diagnosed by actual mechanics who actually know how to fix cars and actually care about their customers. Hands down sleaziest dealership in Auburn. I recommend stoning yourself in cement before thinking about purchasing a car here, and if you already have, my god, please, don't let them play with it.

We bought a 2012 Honda CRV in May of 2015 At FOX Honda Auburn. A month later the brakes started making noise. It was still in warranty but this happened on a Sunday and we needed the use of the car Monday eve. Not having time to take it to Fox Honda Auburn, we took it to PEP Boys for repair. The bill was $1,000 for a brake job. I took the paperwork and the parts taken off to the service manager at Fox Honda and asked for compensation for parts and labor. He look at the parts and said he would look into it. He did nothing and I never heard back from him for a resolution. I left a phone message with the General Manager and never heard back. I finally had to drive to Auburn from Liverpool to try to get some resolution and compensation. The General Manager stated that their policy is not to pay if somebody else does the work..I explained that I could not afford the time to have it serviced in Auburn. The final decision was not to pay anything or provide any resolution. I would have thought that Fox would have provided some form of resolution or compensation just to provide friendly customer and retain a future customer. Instead I will never do any form of business with Fox Honda in Auburn. It appears that they do not value a good relationship with their customers. . .

I brought in my 1998 CRV for a diagnosis of an apparent and personally unsolvable electrical problem. The end result was that for $110 dollars for their computer code reader hookup (free at Auto Zone) they were totally unable to diagnose the problem. But they did tell me that according to their "skilled technician" my front brake pads were "steel to steel"; upon my disassembly they were not. They told me I needed a transmission module; I have never had any problems that would relate to the function of this module. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter and new oxygen sensors; what I needed was to have the PCM (power control module) reset by removing a key fuse for 10 seconds and then reinstalling. After I personally did this all the codes related to the catalytic converter disappeared. I have concluded that all the people up front in the service department are clerks with NO knowledge of the product their firm deals in including service. Their technicians are unidirectional and that direction is to increase the magnitude of existing problems. They rely totally on their code readers with no latitude for thought and have no "contact with the customers to ascertain what the customer's experience with the mechanical/electrical problems may be.This is representative of their service which would definitely preclude EVER buying a car there.

These folks creatively embroider on the repairs necessary to one's vehicle. If you can, find a competent mechanic who is not intent on more than repairing your vehicle at a reasonable cost. There are many folks who can conduct most necessary repairs and there are many good sources of new parts at greatly more realistic prices. They may not have "Honda" stamped on them but that does not make them any less affective. As for instance a Honda catalytic convertor for a "98 CRV will cost $800 from Fox and $140 from another source while a Honda O2 sensor will cost over $300 while easily purchased for around $40. There is more than caveat emptor in dealing with these folks.

Purchased a 2012 Acura TSX. I was scheduled to pick my car up at 1pm, didn't leave with my car until 3:45pm. No apology from the staff for having to wait over 2 1/2 hours for my car. They also provided me with books for a 2005 Acura TL which is not the correct year or model for my car. Dealership states it is not their responsibility to make sure accurate books are received when you spend $21,000!!!! Four weeks later and I'am still going back and forth with the dealership. Several weeks later the dealership contacted me stating they forgot to have me sign a paper which delayed me from receiving information from the bank. Worst experience ever purchasing a car take your business elsewhere!!!!!!!

I recently purchased a Odyssey minivan from Fox Honda. I was very pleased with the transaction.. The salesperson that I dealt with, Jamie Parker, was attentive to our needs and concerns and very professional in helping us get through the process. He made sure that all our questions were answered, either by himself or some well qualified recruit. In other words, I could not have asked for anything more from this encounter. This is a response to an email from Fox Honda on Congrats owning my 2010 Honda Civic purchased with 8,000 miles...............You're kidding right? I actually removed everything that would indicate I purchased from Fox Honda. After a few months I had a bearing replaced, few months after that I had to get a new battery and now I've gotta come up with money for new tires. I actually needed them before winter, but didn't have the money. I've been telling everyone to go to Romano Toyota or Honda City for a used vehicle. At least they put new wiper blades on, new tires on their used vehicles, give a free detailing coupon and when you pick your vehicle up it is detailed.When my son wanted to purchase a used vehicle we stopped at Fox Honda before all the above starting falling apart and that was a joke. That's when I took everything off my car.......no free advertising from me.Unsatisfied CustomerOf course, they never responded to the email. I sent it as a reply and also sent it thru their website.

Summer of 2013 - - The experience for my sons 1st vehicle was the WORST. It was SO BAD and a long story. That I can't even relive it here on this site. Let's just say they were so rude.........that I walked out of there pulled the Fox names plates that go around my actual plate off my car and left them outside the showroom door. I'm either going to remove the fox thing on the back of my car or I thought better yet.............put a BIG BLACK X thru it. Sales Manager has no business working in that profession!!!!!! P.S. The winter of 2013 I had to replace the battery and then April of this year a freakin year later I had to purchase new tires. PLEASE PLEASE...............if looking for a used car go to Honda City or Romano Toyota of Syracuse. There they will put new tires, wiper blades and fix any dings. This is after you agree on a price with no additional charge.

We recently purchased a 2014 Honda Odyssey and it couldn't have gone any smoother. I had researched mini vans via the internet and test drove one so I knew exactly what I wanted. The staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating and Fox Honda met my needs exactly. I first dealt with Kim through internet sales and had worked out almost all of the details for purchasing my vehicle before entering the dealership. At Fox Honda, Jeff was very knowledgeable, cooperative and friendly. He took his time explaining the many features of the van and was happy and willing to answer any questions. He put us at ease and was not your typical "pushy salesman". Dealing with Dave in the finance department was also a breeze. Fox Honda did not have the color of the vehicle I wanted but located it and had it on the lot within a day. When we took possession of the vehicle Justin answered all of our questions, explained more features and effortlessly walked us through the paperwork. Purchasing a vehicle through Fox Honda was definately a much more pleasant experience than we had anticipated.

I own 4 Honda's and an Acura. I travel extensively for work and our company has offices in 5 Eastern states. As a result, I have good experience with four other Honda dealers and I know the customer experiences that Honda wants their customers to have. Being new to Auburn, NY, I scheduled a waiting appointment to have my SRS (supplemental restrain system) diagnosed after the SRS light came on. I was the first service customer of the day and arrived 20 minutes early. One hour and 20 minutes after my appointment time, the service department still had not pulled my car into to check the problem. When I went to the service department to ask why, another employee had remarked that the only cars in the service department were three used cars that the dealership had sold over the weekend. He reminded the service adviser that the first 3 customers of the day were waiting in the showroom and none of their vehicles were pulled-in yet. When I asked the service manager, he advised that he had to do research on causes for the SRS light to illuminate before he could have a service teach pull my Pilot into the service area and connect it to the diagnostic computer. He also advised me that there is no significance to a "waiting appointment" and I should expect it to be about 1 1/2 hours past my appointment time before they pull my vehicle in. It was obvious that the service manager does not care about the customer and doesn't understand the connection between happy customers and his continued employment. I also found that it must be a dealership problem because I plan to buy a new 2015 Pilot and an Accord this year. (I bought the new Accord last weekend at a different dealer). Although four sales people came into the showroom while I was waiting for service, none asked if they could help me and one of the employees complained for 20 minutes about how busy she was going to be because of the number of cars they sold on Friday and Saturday. She stated that she wished the sales people would have told the customers that it would be several days before they could pickup their new cars, so she would have more time to prepare the paperwork. Meanwhile, I kept noticing the Honda President's Award banners that were hanging in the sales and service departments. The only problem was that Fox Honda received that award only one time and it was 4 years ago. The other dealerships that I use when traveling are all President Award winners and one has won it for 12 consecutive years while the others have all won it for at least 7 consecutive years. If I owned the Honda dealership and we had won that annual award 4 years ago, I would remove the 4-year old signs and I would strive to provide excellent service to win it again. Obviously,that is not the focus at Fox.My service problem was resolved at a different dealer 2 days later.-- in 10 minutes. I took the car to service and went to their customer lounge for a coffee. Before I had the lid on my coffee, the service adviser came in to tell me the computer code that came up on their computer and what it meant. 18 minutes, later, my Honda was fixed and the cost was less than $100. In other words, the other dealer accomplished in 28 minutes what Fox was unable to even diagnose in 1 1/2 hours. It's a no-brainer -- buy your car at a dealership that cares about their customers and that also know how to service your car. first two customers ofthe day

I went to fox honda in search of a used car, after not finding what i was looking for they tried to push me into a lease on a new car. I was hesitant about the lease because the sales guy told me i can buy the car at the end of the lease and that was what i should do. When i talked to the business manager she said never buy out the lease. So they started talking numbers and got close to what i was comfortable with saying it was as low as they could go. Next thing i know im asked to provide the card i would be using for the down payment and away the sales guy goes without an explanation and comes back with a receipt for me to sign. He then says i need to talk to finance. After talking with finance im told that there would be more fees along with the first payment due at delivery. None of this was explained to me prior and i hadnt even decided this was what i wanted to do. So im told to come back the next day for paperwork and to pick up the car. I went home and thought about it still looking at used cars to buy. I found a used car 3 hours away so i called fox honda and told them i wasnt going to be able to pick the car up and that i was going to look at a different car. They called me back and tried to talk me out of it first the business manager then the sales guy and finally the sales manager. The sales manager then says he could go lower then he had before even though he said it was the lowest. He was very rude during our conversation and proceded to lecture me about buying a used car and lieing about not only the car i was looking to buy but also about the new car they wanted me to lease. He then told me i would make money off the lease if i bought the car at the end of the lease and said i was stupid to buy the used car, which was a civic si. He sells those cars but was trying to say i would have a ton of problems with this one but trying to get me to lease a brand new si? I will never go to this dealership again and i hope this stops other people from going. I ended up buying the used car at dix honda in PA and i couldnt be happier with the customer service, the laid back approach they took and also the car itself.

Purchased a used Ridgeline, went to pick it up and vehicle was filthy, carpets were wet and it smelled. Upon further inspection; air filter or cabin filter was not replaced. Went back to have car cleaned and replace air filter. Picked it up the next day; car was not even washed, carpets were still wet but seats appeared to be cleaner. They said they replaced the timing belt but it looks like the serpentine belt was never replaced, A couple days after the stains came back on the seat. Called several times and got the run around, they tried to blame everything on the salesman. Second key broken, passenger dome light does not work and light for radio does not work. Finally today the customer service rep called and left a message. I called back and she said that I bought a used car and they don't fix everything. Apparently they don't detail their used cars either. Too bad; first Honda I ever owned and first (and last) time I dealt with Fox. I felt like they did not care about any of my concerns.

After completing a month long shopping experience for a new car, we just completed our purchase of a 2014 Honda Accord, and were pleased with the entire process at Fox Honda in Auburn. We had received several quotes from Honda dealers in CNY, and Fox matched the lowest offer, and secured the car we wanted within 2 days. After the purchase the sales staff spent over an hour with us to demonstrate all of the finer points of operating and using the advanced technology features of the new Accord.

I bought a 2004 Audi with just over 100,000 miles. Bad idea! They said their repair department headed by Andy Miller had declared the car to be in good condition with no needed immediate repairs. When we drove it home the belt tore apart. Three days after we fixed it the power steering failed while driving the car. The steering fluid had completely leaked out. The power steering rack was bent and the front sway bar bushings and all upper control arms were all bad. Forget about the fact that it cost a couple of thousand to repair. The failure of power steering while driving could have resulted in death or serious injury.

I've had exact the same offer from other dealer. I called them and told them if you give me a discount I'll buy the car from you. she asked how much, and i said like 200$. she said just 200$ on that time i thought i should asked for more. when I get there from syracuse after 45min which was said 20 minute, they didn't give me the discount and another lady told me the lady on the phone shouldn't give me any disocunt. I saw I've driven 45min and I desperately need the car, then i asked only for complimentary rubber mats instead, which she said, "just complimentary rubber mats?" on that time i thought i should asked for more. when i went in their financing office i saw a change in selling price and i understood they are charging me 125$ for dose complimentary mats, which she said, i tried but we can't. then the monthly payments wasn't match with the selling price. I asked why, the guy told me it's right and after putting the numbers in my loan calculator app on my cell phone, he said, oh you know, let me check it again, aha, you know it's because of extended warranty and under coating, which i didn't want them, and i haven't been asked that if i want them or not either. after all these back an forth they told us every thing is fine, you are approved and you can pick up the car 2days from now. Morning of pick up date they called me that asked for some weird documents and after 3 hours i understood they can not finance the car for me. (this part is fine) but it took 3 hours and many phone calls till they let me know that they can not finance the car for me. I needed a car desperately so i got another car which i could afford without financing, and called them at the same day that I'll pick up my deposit check. she said it's fine. I drove 45 min and she wasn't there and again another lady told me that they can not give me my check right away, because it's need a manager signature and all their managers gone. she told me that she'll do it next business day, and she'll mail it to me. i drove 45 min back to my home and the day after i checked my account and i saw that they've cashed my check. after 2 business day i called them, and after 3 business days they responded to me that it needs another 10 business days to be processed. Now I'm going to contact Attorney General Office to get my 100$ back.

New 2012 civic making noise ( tire?) took for eval, was told needed alignment, brakes and new tires. Car has 17,000 miles!! Never in accident or abused. Charged $200.00 for alignment. Went elsewhere for tires, did not need any brake work . Staff very rude, stated we were at fault for the " damage" .no warranty coverage. Have bought 4 cars at this dealer- never again. They lost a loyal customer.

My overall experience was very good. There was the typical haggling auto dealers do for each sale, but I expected that; there is no reason to complain about that aspect because every dealer does it and short of a general business model change (ie. Saturn business model), auto dealers will always do this. I actually used a Fox Toyota sales associate, Jamie Parker, and was very pleased with him. I would recommend Fox advertise the fact that if a buyer has a working relationship with a certain sales associate, regardless of where their primary dealership is, than that sales associate can be used for other Fox dealerships. It could potentially keep possible buyers within the Fox dealership family. My only real ding to my experience was the exterior appearance of the vehicle when I picked it up. The real bumper applique was bubbled and I am now in the process of getting that reapplied correctly. Also, the undercoating, although fully applied (from what I can see getting only my head under the car) was inconsistently applied. Some material was so thick it formed "icicles" on the driver side of the vehicle. I will take these issues up separately from this review. Overall the sales experience was very good and I would recommend Fox Honda. Now just work on the haggling process and your dealer would be an excellent pick.

Was promised a price online and later confirmed it over phone. Made us come to the dealer which was an hour away. Once there the sales manager gave us a low offer on the trade which we refused. Was told by the sales manager that the deal would be honored till end of the month and we were even ready to put down a deposit. Called back two days later before the end of the month to proceed with the deal and the manager now changed his stance. Said he never agreed to the deal and was dilly dallying around it. Wanted more than what we were promised when they knew we were ready to purchase. I would say run away from this dealership or record your conversation with the manager or have an attorney present before he opens his mouth! There are far better...or at least honest dealers in the area!

Drove the 45 minutez to FOX, after setting up a test drive of used Honda CRV. Got there running late, but called to say on my way. Car is not ready, you think they would have it clean, looking good for possible new owner. Went to use window cleaner and they dont work. Well, that is huge to me, hate dirty windows. They will look at it and fix it but its probably just frozen. In all my 30+ years of driving NEVER had that happen. Next make the deal, they tell me according to car fax my car Horrible accident, I was shocked, my report said no such thing. I asked to see the carfax and in small print it says my car is valued at $400 OVER CARFAX REPORT. That would be $4400 on dealer trade. I only owed 2800 left on car, they low balled me and hours later we came to an agreement. Went to pick up my car washers still not working. Oh drive it let it warm up. Get into the car horrible ehgine smell, like i am getting asphiciated. Take car back, THEY forgot to put oil ap back on. Then we had to drive back several times for wrong paperwork signed. Aaaaahhhhhhh WeDid drive the car to Florida and was extremely comfortable. Love the car but should of had them send to sharon chevrolet in pheonix and made the deal. They are my favorite fox dealership. Good luck on your search.

I purchased a used vehicle from this dealershop and was treated like a second class citizen. They don't stand behind the used vehicles that they sell. According to their Service Manager they are not responsible for anything but making sure the vehicle passes inspection. What a disappointment.

I took my 2007 Civic to Fox Honda for service because my cd player wasnt working. I thought I was going to spend a arm and a leg but Tami found out that it covered under my HONDACARE extended (YEA!!) . A couple days later they had my Part in and Tami called me for a appointment. I had it done on a tuesday night (because like most people I waork during the day) . After the job was finished the Service Manager himself did a quality check on the repair, at this time he found a small scratch on the plastic dash, he let me know and then called in a interior specialist guy who came right over and touched it up. This must be why they get that PRESIDENTS AWARD , GREAT SERVICE!! I'm happy because I didnt have to pay anything under my extended warranty and my wife's happy that she can listen to her cd's again.

My wife and I have been in the market for an Accord sedan for a while now. We decided rather than going to just our backyard dealer that we would try them all to see who would provide the best deal with no games. Fox Honda is horrible. We walked in, some salesman were in a group chatting, not one of them acknowledged we were even there. We walked around the lot for about twenty minutes to see if they had what we were looking for (they in fact had multiples). Back to the showroom we went to grab a brochure for one last attempt. All we got was "someone will be with you." After 40 minutes at this dealership we decided to turn back home. We did in fact find the car we were looking for AND was greeted promptly at a local dealer. I will let my friends and family know that if they want to self educate themselves on a dealer almost an hour away's inventory and not be pressured by a salesman, Fox is where you should go. If you want to talk to someone and buy a car, don't.

First of all during the time I was there I wanted to go home and think about purchasing the vehicle. The salesman used tactics to keep me there like asking for my credit card to bring in to the sales manager with my offer. I now know that there is no reason for them to take a check or credit card from me unless a deal has been made and maybe not even then. I couldn't leave because he had my card and he left it in the office when he came back out. (We, my son and I were sitting in the showroom at a table.) We did come to a deal on the price. We now were sent into the financial managers office to see what kind of financing was available. I was also considering paying cash. Josh had a "great deal" for me but I had to finance to get it. It was for rustproofing, additional 5 year warranty, free inspections, and $5.99 oil changes and it would only cost $8.00 more a month for 60 months. Then throughout the conversation he mentioned it was $8.90 per month. My son caught that and said that's more like $9.00 a month. I called Josh when I got home and told him to cancel the financing and the warranty because the finance rate was too high 3.24% he was obviously not happy. By the way I have excellent credit. I said I see 1.9% in the paper all the time, he says not for a new Cr v. He called me about 10 minutes later and he had gotten me 1.9%. I asked him what the total was for the rustproofing and the extended warranty, he said $600.00. When it was time to sign the contract the next day the charges for the warranty was well over $1000.00 plus $500.00 for the rustproofing. I was livid, refused to sign and refused to pay for the rustproofing that had been done on the car I was buying. I would have walked out but they had my trade-in vehicle. The sales manager George took the warranty off but said I had to pay $500 for the rustproofing, I refused. After a lot of ranting and raving on my part I got the car and didn't pay for the rustproofing. This was the worst car buying experience of my life. Josh out and out lied to me and my son about the warranty. This is a terrible dealership.

In Spring 2011 I received a modest settlement as a result of a surgical error when delivering my youngest son. My husband and I decided we wanted to purchase a vehicle outright. We intended to purchase from a reputable dealer and buy an extended warranty as we transport our most precious cargo...our children...on a daily basis. We picked out a 2006 Saturn Vue with 58K miles on it. When we met with the salesman, the vehicle had an odd rattle to it. He assured us they would fix any issues, do a thorough inspection, and only sell the vehicle if it was 100%. When I picked the vehicle up I was assured it was flawless. After signing the contracts the salesman laughed as he informed me the man who owned the vehicle prior to me had tried to self install a remote starter, had given up, and left it half installed in the vehicle. He said they removed it and I was all set. I voiced concerns for electrical issues and was assured I had a warranty and was good.Right after the 60 day lemon law warranty period passed I began having issues with the vehicle. The dealer's service department was very nonchalant about all of it reminding me I was past the point where they were liable. The extended warranty company did not authorize tows to the dealer citing the distance was too far so I had another local garage fixing the issue. We thought we had the issue resolved in November after being left stranded with my kids on 3 occasions and needing the vehicle to be towed. The last instance caused the vehicle to turn off sending my kids into an intersection without the ability to steer the vehicle. At that juncture I was advised that the vehicle thought it was being stolen and was shutting off as a safety measure. I had the vehicle serviced and the other garage thought they fixed the issue. I had a light on my dash still lit up but attributed this to a door latch that also needed repair.The problems persisted even after the latch got fixed and finally the other garage took the vehicle apart. They discovered I was having issues related to my Body Control Module which is all a direct effect of the remote starter being removed. I spoke with the salesman who clearly recalled telling me about the remote starter and was horrified at my ordeal. He put me in touch with the GM of the dealership but instead of dealing with her I got their PR woman who was concerned about my Facebook postings. I was asked to have the other garage fax them invoices (as I sat for a 5th time with no vehicle-for 9 days in that stretch). The warranty company would not authorize a rental citing a remote starter was not a factory issue. I spoke with numerous garages and was advised by all that my issues would have begin with the wiring being messed with when the remote starter was removed and that they all recommend that their customers not install a remote starter as they open themselves up to the risk of wiring issues once they do. A few days later I got my vehicle back. I was advised it is fixed but once your wiring is compromised you will always see corrosion and have issues down the line. I spoke with the PR woman from the dealer and was advised that they had no obligation to make things right, told me there was never a remote starter and that I could meet with the GM and they would swap me into a comparable vehicle as a good faith gesture. I asked to meet with her and the salesman and was abruptly advised that he was out of the picture and unavailable to me.I met with the dealership on 1/16/12. The GM sat down for under a minute, leaving me with a salesman who had no idea the history of my situation or the issues. He asked me what I was seeking and I told him I would accept a vehicle as old as a 2005 and would even accept an additional 5-8 K in mileage if I liked the vehicle. I told him it had to be automatic and four door as well. He then had me sit another 20 minutes while the GM was in a meeting. After she came out he spoke with her briefly and showed me a car that they had listed for $1,400 less than what I had paid. It had 17K less miles than what I have currently so I was willing to swap into that vehicle even though it cost less than mine. He went and spoke to the GM and then returned telling me I would need to ay a few thousand extra if I truly wanted that vehicle. I told him he was nuts and that I had tried to play nicely. I advised him I had left the attorney out of it til this point but was prepared to file in court if need be. He stood up and said, "Oh, you said attorney? let me get your keys so you can leave." He then went into the GM, spoke with her, and she put on her coat and left. With that the assistant GM came out and told me I was being dramatic. He said he drove my vehicle and saw no issues. I informed him if there was even a 1% chance that the vehicle would break again and send my kids into an intersection, this was unacceptable to me.At this point the assistant GM advised me that one of my options were a 2001 VW Bug (2 door tiny car and I have 2 kids in car seats...not to mention that the car is 5 yrs older than my current one). Another option he listed was a 2001 Grand Marquis...again, way older than my current vehicle. The last option was a 2005 Cobalt. When I drove the vehicle it shook once you hit 45 MPH. The buttons for the cd player had no paint on them. The car had 20K more miles on it than what I currently drive and the car fax states that it has an open recall for a steering failure issue. I refused the vehicle and was told to have a nice life by the dealership.This page is dedicated to the working man/woman...the parents out there doing their best and just trying to have nice things for their kids. Wanting a safe, reliable vehicle is not too much to ask for. I paid over 12K for the vehicle and warranty cash. Part of that price was paying for peace of mind which I have not had since 65 days after purchasing the vehicle. It's time for the little guy to be heard. Join me as I fight the good fight please. And I ask all of you to please spread the word that Fox Honda in Auburn NY does not stand behind USED the vehicles they sell and has a very callous attitude when called on it. If you are going to buy from them, make sure it is a certified pre-owned vehicle and get it inspected by an independent garage prior to purchase.

When I initially bought my vehicle from this dealership I was very pleased. The staff seemed very helpful, very courteous and eager to please me the customer. I continued to be pleased until about the fourth time I took my vehicle in for routine maintenance. My vehicle had about 23k miles on it at that time. I was told I needed new tires. I was then recommended to get tires that were roughly 700 dollars and had no warranty. Joann the service representative said they were "just really great tires" and the fact that there was no warranty was not a problem. She was more than willing to sing the praises of these "wonderful tires." I reluctantly agreed to purchasing the tires. Upon being told my vehicle was ready to go I was told that they didn't have time to do an alignment. I would need to schedule that for a later date and come back. This was my first clue that perhaps this business was not as eager to help and please as they had once been. Who gets new tires and doesn't get an alignment? They had time to tell me I needed new tires, time to put them on but no time to align them! I was not happy but figured it was the first time they had done something that I wasn't comfortable with. I then took my vehicle to a location closer to home a few days later and had the alignment done. Since the visit I was told I needed new tires, it has been a series of mishaps and nonsense. I will stick to the tire incident as that is what infuriates me the most. The tires needless to say were bad 20k miles after Fox Honda's service department installed/mounted them. 700 dollars for 20k miles is not a lot of bang for your buck. Too bad I had to hop around like a jackrabbit for them to finally admit their "wonderful tires" were cupping. That was only after I was insistent that something was very wrong. They just kept saying my vehicle needed an alignment and that was the reason for the terrible vibration and suspicious noise. After this I was told that the manufacturer of the tire would only pay 1/2 of the cost of new tires to get the same tires without a warranty to have potentially the same problem in another 20k miles. I'm not sure if there is some Quid pro quo going on or what but I do know that I don't plan on servicing my vehicle at this location ever again and would certainly never purchase another vehicle from them in the future nor would I encourage anyone else to. By the way when I inquired as to why Fox Honda doesn't carry tires with warranties I was told they "don't like them." Wonder why that is!Disgruntled ex Fox Honda customer
