Taking my car in for services was always nerve racking. However, since I purchased a vehicle from Haldeman Ford, bringing it there for services is actually a pleasure. The service manage, Victor, is friendly and courteous, I use the services of their driver to get back and forth to work, and often times Victor will give me a coupon that I forgot I had. I feel I can trust the service department at Haldeman Ford. I just purchased my second car from Haldeman and will be glad to continue with their service department.

We just love our new 2016 Ford Escape in White Platinum that we purchased in June. It matches our 2016 Black Ford Escape that we purchased in March perfectly. We call them Salt & Pepper. I purchased a 2014 Mazda cx5 with 16k miles. Two days later I find an oil leak in my garage.I discovered oil grime on the under carriage and take off the under carriage plastic to see a fresh oil drip at the transmission. The car is under Mazda warranty, I took it to a Mazda dealer. Due to the leak they are working to replace with a factory rebuilt transmission - warranty coverage to be determined.I called Sales Manager Sal Sarwar, he did not take responsibility for the problem. They should have known about the leak and had it repaired or the least disclosed the problem.I attempted to call Paul Haldeman, he did not take my calls or return a call.I went to see Paul personally, to request they take back the car and provide a refund. He said that would not happen.I have filed a complaint with Penna Attorney General Office and the Dealer License office Penna Department of State.

Haldeman had always provided me with quality work, and friendly service. I just found out today that if you need just an oil change, that you may stop by M-F 8-4 with no appointment necessary. On almost every occasion I stop there.. there are also some baked goods in the comfy customer lounge, and well as a TV and Coffee. I received great service. However, they were unable to perform a paintless dent repair that is included in the extended warranty I purchased. I have to go back to the original dealer where I purchased the vehicle or call a toll free number to submit a claim. Dealers should explain ALL details when selling warranties.

I got an appointment when I needed it, my car was finished in a timely manner and all the staff were very nice. The gentleman who helped me was very detailed. They even found one of my windshield washers needed to be replaced even though it was still functional. Plus it didn't cost me anything since it was still under warranty. Everyone from my salesman (Dave), as well as Jerry (who helped secure the car) and the sales manager all were very friendly and honest. I asked for their best price up front and they gave me a very competitive one right from the start. No other dealer I visited was able to do that. The service we receive is always good, my 2 complaints I have every single time I bring our vehicle in whether it be something major or minor is A. it takes SO long. I just don't think an oil change should take 2-3 hours I understand for more difficult repairs, but It is very frustrating when I have an appointment for an oil change and sit there for hours. .B. My other issue is generally around communication as to when the vehicle will be ready when I do leave it there for service.......it's hard to get through to an actual person in Service sometimes, and often late in the day, they have already left. I will say that that I have always felt like we were treated fairly and with respect, and when we have had an emergency such as a dead battery or flat tire, our Service manager has always taken care of us right away, and we appreciate that.

I had contacted Ford customer service about a recall they advised that I go to another service center that was near my home. That location told me I had to wait a week when I told them my car was cutting off. I called Haldenman and spoke with Pat and she told me she could see me next day. What a relief, she made me appreciate being a Ford owner. Once I brought my car in the gentleman that greeted me was great. Once the car was serviced he explained what was done and he told me what I should be concerned about in the future. This will be my new home for service. I got the works promotion and I feel like my car is running like it did the day I bought it. Thank You for making it so easy!!!

Excellent service as always! Was in and out within 30 minutes for an oil change, and did not need an appointment. Everyone is professional and courteous, and I have never had any issues with any of the work that was done on my vehicle. I've had some questionable repairs performed in the past by independent mechanics, but never had any issues with Haldeman. Even when getting quotes from several mechanics for repairs, Haldeman tends to have the lowest overall prices for repairs, and I know that the mechanics working on my vehicle are very experienced with Ford vehicles. I once had an issue where my brake rotors wore out prematurely, but Haldeman stood behind their warranty and replaced them at no cost to me.

This was my first experience with your Service department. Your personnel were very friendly and the waiting area was great. I thought the work that was done took a little long. My appointment was for 11:00 for THE WORKS, oil change / tire rotation / and multi-point inspection. I left there at 12:45. I saw the time the technician started was 11:42, over-all it took one hour which is normal but I guess there was a delay taking the car into the shop. I had a coupon so I thought I got good value.

The cost is more reasonable than you think. There team is trained and informed on new procedures and technology available. The waiting room is huge and comfortable offering TV and coffee. Sometimes there are fresh baked goods in the lounge as well as a bottomless cup of coffee while you wait. The advisers are upfront, honest and genuinely care about your service visit. My experience was great with the service department and the shuttle service. There is a need for handicap access to the waiting room and bathrooms. These should be on the same floor as the service.....no steps! The waiting room area is wonderful but not accessible easily.

Our Ford Fiesta is a really great car from a really great dealer and staff at Haldeman Ford of Allentown PA. Their staff at all levels was helpful, pleasant, patient and very glad to explain our new car and all it's great features to us. It was the 3 time we purchased a new Ford for ourselves and my mother purchased her last car from Haldeman. Mom was up in age and the Service Manager took care of her like she was his own Mother. Haldeman Lincoln Ford on Lehigh Street and it's sales staff could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We were made to feel we were home again to purchase our new Ford from good folks and friends.

I would give this dealership one star if I could but I have to get it at least one star for this review so one star it is. Made an appointment to take my car there on Monday and they did not work on it at all until I finally pulled it on Thursday and sent it somewhere else. The service manager gave me grief the entire time my car was there and refused to work on the car because someone else did. Met with a saleman named Keith to test drive a 2007 Ford F-140 4X and trade in my 2004 Tundra. I'm 52 years old and kind of know the insand outs of purchasing any vehicle from a dealer (certainly not an expert). All I can say is that Keith was the most disrespectful sales assistant I've ever dealt with over the years. He didn't acknowledge my existence until the internet sales lady interupted him from his cell phone activity. Everthing was going fairly well with the test drive until...we got back to discuss "numbers"....All I can say is WOW!!!!!. I was told infatically what my truck was worth (to them)....low ball of course. And told that their F-150 was priced "right" (high of course)....what ever. I understand that the dealers can't give you a decent deal any more with the interenet competition. I was very willing to leave and part as friends when Keith decided to belabor the money issue and essentially raise his voice where I had to tell him to calm down. He went so far as to tell me that " I should sell cars to make sure their deals were fair"....I touched a nerve apparently....

I was shopping for a new Fusion, and wanted specific options, so ended up ordering it from Haldeman. I traded a 9 year old Escape with 150,000 miles, got a fair amount for the trade, and they hit all the numbers I had in mind without any drawn out haggling. I may be the kind of person who wants what he wants, but the process was so smooth, and Jerry and Wil were so nice, and so helpful. It was such a great experience that my mom ended up buying a brand new Escape here as well. I'll be back next time around for sure!

Took in my F550 dump truck to this dealer which remains under warrantee and after waiting one week, I was finally informed that the truck is under warrantee but I still need to wait an additional week to get the turbo changed. I was informed that they did not have enough diesel mechanics scheduled and as such, I need to wait while my customers get to wait as well. I was informed that the parts could not be shipped overnight to expedite the process as though that isn't an option. In addition, although I have waited a week already, I was told that it would be another week before they get to it. Overall, it is going to take 13 days to get this truck back on the road even though it remains under warrantee. There was no attempt to expedite the process. As such, I will be taking my business to another dealer and suggest that you do the same.

Buying my vehicle was the easy part. I bought an 2006 mercury mountaineer and the sales person i worked with was great. The issues started when i had brake issues and had to take my SUV back 3 times because the technician continued to screw up the work. Not only that but in the process ruining other parts that i now have to pay more money out of pocket to get fixed. Haven't been able to use my SUV in over 2 months and the only response i get from Hauldeman is "well that's just how things work". Will never buy from hauldeman again.

First time buyer of a truck. Reviewed brand on internet. Sent a message to any Ford Dealer within 25 miles. Haldeman Ford responded the next day. Pleasant interaction with internet sales staff. They found the correct vehicle I was looking for, ie color, interior, options. When it came down for a quote, they gave me a bottom line number that had beaten all other dealers I had contacted. One dealer (unnamed) dropped his monthly lease price by over $150.00 once I told them I was shopping other dealers. Buying or Leasing a car or truck should be a fun experience. There are a lot of dealers that assume the consumer is dumb. Not in this day and age. Not Haldeman Ford. They were honest from the get go. Very patient with my requests. Did not try to sell me what I did not want but worked on finding what I wanted. Great experience, great people. Would recommend definitely.

My wife and I spoke to one salesman over the phone before going in and worked out a tentative deal/verbal agreement for purchasing a car we saw online. I recently bought a 2014 Shelby GT500. It was the quickest transaction I have ever done for a car and the price was very reasonable compared to the market. They were also very quick in returning my after market parts on my trade in at no cost. The best part of Haldeman Ford in Allentown is the customer service. They did everything possible to ensure my buying experience was as easy and painless as possible. Called in the morning and asked for a specific car and they said it's available so I told them I'm coming from New York for it and it will take a while. I drove 150 mile for about 2 hours and when I was 20 minutes away, the representative I spoke with (Scott) calls me and says he sold it to someone else. That's not right. Made me waste 4 hours, half a tank gas and god knows how may toll boots I passed through.

I am a long time customer and have personally purchased many vehicles over a 25 year period from this dealer. Many of my friends have followed my recommendations and have also went to Haldeman for their own automotive needs and have been completely satisfied. Sales and service are always friendly and professional. A winning combination. Both are very important to me. I see no reason to switch to any other dealer or make of vehicle!

It took two visits to this dealership and probably four hours of my time to get my car apraised and aprice on anew vehicle.I had the price written on a business card so I would not forget it.I told the salesmanager on the podium I would decide in the next 24 hours.When I clled to let them know my decision they said they lost the paperwork.After calling back and forth and complaining they found it.Now the story changes that they made a math mistake and the car would cost me alot more money.They wasted alot of my time and made buying a car more stressful.Don't wate your time going there.I bought my new car at Bethlehem Ford no double talk and the owners of the dealership are available to deal with and solve any problems wether related to service or sales. This is the fifth ford that I have purchased there.

So many domestic brand dealerships in the Valley still operate like it's 1985, with high-pressure sales, misleading ads, inflated trade-in "values" that simply get built into the final price of a purchased or leased vehicle, and staff turnover that makes a fast-food joint look like stable employment by comparison. Haldeman is the opposite. The dealership's modern, the service facility is first-rate, the staff is universally professional and friendly and I've been dealing with basically the same team there for years. Ford and Lincoln are great brands and yeah, the vehicles coming out of Dearborn are in many cases selling themselves. But Haldeman has been providing me, my family and more than a few friends with an extraordinarily high, unusually consistent level of service for more than a decade. That's why I don't even bother visiting other dealerships when it's time for a new or used car or truck. After all, everything I need to know about prices and trade-in values is readily available on the web. What I really need is a dealership I can trust to treat me and the people I refer fairly and honestly. Sal, Jerry, Will and Patricia have never, ever let me down.

I've purchased or leased over a dozen vehicles from Haldeman Ford, and get 99% of my service needs on all my cars and trucks taken care of at their service facilities and collision center. My experience with other local domestic brand dealers has consistently reinforced my opinion that these guys are the best in the Lehigh Valley in every category: Inventory, service, professionalism and the all-important-but-rarely-earned trustworthiness we all hope for from an auto dealership. I've never had a poor experience here. Trade-in values are fair and competitive, prices on new and used vehicles are exactly where internet research indicates they should be, and I like the fact that the staff has been with the dealership a long time. On the rare occasion I've bought a car that had some factory-related problems (e.g., a fuel system recall), these guys have bent over backwards to make it right for me.The web has made auto research a black-and-white process. But I still need a dealership I can trust to take care of my deals and those that I refer. Haldeman is the ONLY dealership that's earned that loyalty from me.

Coming off of a very negative experience elsewhere I was not expecting much but Victoria, Bonnie and Kevin won me over. They all went above and beyond anything I had expected. All three truly went the extra mile for me and got me a great vehicle and a great deal. I would love to go back and just "hang out" with them as they made me feel like I was an old friend. Great thanks to all! I felt everyone at this dealership was honest and upfront and really did care about doing their best for me. I was having some issues with the service we were provided at this location so I sent an email to let them know how they were doing. You can make the choice if this is a dealership you want to spend your money at. This review includes the response from the dealership some of you will feel it was an appropriate response other will not. That is why you can make your own choice it you are fine with the way they do business. Email with Issues:General Manager Haldeman Lincoln/Ford, I wanted to write you a note to let you know that my family has bought 3 or 4 Fords/Mercury/Lincoln from the Haldeman family over the past few years and we most likely will not be back. This is for a number of reasons, to start the number of times a $50,000+ car had to be in for service exceeded what I would deem normal. The next is the way we were talked to and treated by your service writers. I am not a 5 year old nor am I 100 driving a town car. It is funny I am not stupid either, but yet your people treat my wife and I that way EVERY TIME with no exception. I am the one that has to hear my wife say how they talked to her and how she felt, not you. So really it should stop. If you are marketing to the younger population they need to adapt and adjust their styles when dealing with the customer. They (service writers) assume far more than they should and should spend more time asking probing questions to get to root cause resolution not just shaking their heads. To come back to a customer that has been in a number of times and say that the batteries in a headset were dead is just ridiculous or to say well it worked for me.. Well I am the customer and it didnt work for me that is what I care about. Next is the rental desk, still comes down to customer service. I feel like badgered when returning a car over gas, guess what it was not full AGAIN when you gave it to me in the first place. The cars are normally dirty and not kept well. I will say that they are a nice selection to fit the different needs of your customers. But dont yell at me across the room yo does it have gas in it or did you fill it up? Go look if you really want to know so bad like other vendors do. I recommended my neighbors to come check out the ford line up there and guess what they bought 2 2013 Fords. I hate to recommend something or someone knowing that I had a sub-prime experience. Finally, we have had nothing but problems with SYNC and that stupid computer it is always one thing after another. I dont know that I can put my faith back into the Ford family based off the issues we had with that MKX. Again issues that could either not be duplicated or it worked for them. Since Sal you are getting this and I am on a roll with open feedback. Frank is great but he really should listen more to what the customer is saying and less BS. He is a car salesman no doubt and I thought it was just me but until my 2 friends bought cars from him and said the same thing. Well I will be picking up the car again today not 100% fixed so I can hear my 5 year old yell that her tv does not work. But I am pretty sure it will be back a few more times before we can get rid of it. Here was the response from the email I sent them:Thank you for your honest feedback. I assure you that it will be shared with the appropriate personnel. Going forward, if there is anything I can do to make your experience here enjoyable, please let me know. I can tell you that if I received an email like the one I wrote it would result in a much stronger response than I received. I am not asking for money or a discount they just need to know how their business is being run and impacts to the customer. Then correct it.

Purchased a used Acura with 80k miles. Within 10k miles, catalytic converter went - cost $700. Now at 93k, head gasket blew and broke something in lower end of motor - cost $3500. This is quite unheard of in a Honda 2.0 litre motor with less than 100k miles. The dealer has no want or even empathy to make this right. I was even willing to take a loss on a trade for a new vehicle. I have been assured by a third party that there isn't anyway this dealer went over the vehicle before selling it without knowledge of an issue.

I recently purchased two certified used vehicles from this dealership. My salesman, Larry Perkins, was the best. Both experiences with him were great. I never felt pressured and honestly thought his primary concern was to fit me and my wife with cars we'd both be happy with. We came back multiple times and looked at many options before making our decision. Through this process they were very patient and attempted to find us exactly what we were looking for. The sales manager, Sal, was also extremely nice and helpful. I couldn't be happier with this dealership. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I stopped into Haldeman one night looking to test drive a car. We saw two different vehicles at an auto show, and we had those two cars in mind and wanted to try both to see which one handled better. We tried explaining that we were interested in ending our current lease and getting into a car bigger than what we have now. The salesman who helped us was named Wil. He was a complete jerk who automatically assumed we were just trying to test drive for a perk from the auto show. In reality, we were actually considering paying off our current lease. I have never been treated in such a way. He told us "they were closing in a half hour, and they aren't going to put miles on a car we wouldn't end up buying." This is the second time we've looked at cars at this dealership. Each time we've gone elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The customer service the salespeople give there is horrible.

So irritated! It took me 9 months to fix our car, purchased in June of 2012. The transmission had a problem a week after we took it off the lot. Returned the car 4 times to have it repaired. They told me they could not find anything wrong. 5th time is a charm, 9 months later, found the clutches in the trans were bad. Running great now! Thanks for letting me with an empty tank of fuel! Owner of the company has lost sight of serving the customer after the sale. The staff were very snooty.

I have been a customer of Haldeman Ford for over 20 years. I purchased my first car out of college from Lehigh Street and have purchased subsequent cars (new and used)from both the Lehigh Street and former Tilghman Street locations. Most recently, I made my most major car purchase (financially) and the sales manager, Sal Sarwar, was incredibly helpful. The information he provided regarding my new car was invaluable in making my decision. His assistance with my trade-in as well as taking time to discuss the various financing options to best meet my individual needs and expectations made the experience first-rate. I did not walk away with a question unanswered. I have recommended this dealership for years and will continue to do so, especially after my most recent visit.

bought a new truck 3 months ago from haldeman and went back to buy a used car for my daughter . test drove a car and i like it went inside to ask a few questions and the sales manager sal came over.i ask him what service they did to the car and if i could see the car fax.he refuse to give me the car fax and showed me the title and said everything you need to know will be on the title.i said i really wanted to see it. he would not show it to me so i left.can't believe i they would treat a customer like that let alone a returning customer.that will be the last ford purchase from haldeman from our family.very disappointed

Have purchased 3 or 4 new cars from this dealership. The service and care has always been excellent. I would definately recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact I have a Lincold dealership about 2 miles from my home but I have had much better sales and service driving 60 miles to deal with these people.

Came in to test drive a new Mustang GT. First question salesman had was when are considering to purchase. Told him we're just starting out by getting a feel of how each car on our list drives, that it may not be until spring until we buy. He left, came back a few minutes later and said the only GT manual they had was on the showroom floor. He told us to come back when we are ready to buy.Drove around their lot and checked their online inventory that showed they had other manual GT's in stock. So basically, we were lied to and denied a test drive because we weren't ready to buy right away.I had heard bad things from customers and potential customers in the past about Haldeman. Now, I've experienced it for myself. Needless to say, this dealer is off my list for life. I will never consider purchasing from them.I've had experience with dealers that do treat potential customers properly. This is not one of them. Go elsewhere.

By far, this was the very best car sale we ever had. I saw the used vehicle I was looking for on the web, and emailed and called to be sure it was still there before I made the hour and a half drive. Both responses came quickly, and yes, it was available. I arrived to find the car clean and ready to test drive. I cannot say enough about Wil Witmer, a wonderful, non-pressure salesman who handled our sale in no time. The owner, Sal Sarwar, has my complete respect. This is one classy dealership - they take care of both their cars and customers. We purchased a car with a cousin a few years ago and it didn't go this easily. I think our entire stay, from test drive to driving out was in under two hours. I'd purchase here in a heartbeat and will recomend them in to anyone.
