I purchased a 2008 Scion Xb from Hamer and went back to them for my new 2017 Tacoma , I worked with Will and he was great. Will had a broken his toe the day before but that didn't slow him down from showing me around the lot and making sure that my 9 year old son was taken care of. We came on August 28th without an appointment, but Donn Mendoza, Matt Morente, and Tony still were able to assist us with our questions and get the car of our choice. Although the process took a very long time, we happily left Hamer Toyota with our new 2017 Camry XSE.

We just purchased a 2017 Camry from Hamer. The sales price was slightly better than competing dealers but what a mistake we made going to Hamer. The sales guy, Steven Robles, took forever to finally deliver the car, even though we already had a confirmed and printed price from there internet sales rep., and even though we paid cash. We just waited and waited, with no apparent progress. The car detailing was done while we were waiting for the registration documents, when most dealers fill the tank and detail the car after the price is agreed upon. After several hours at Hamer, we were finally able to go home, hungry and tired. The car was delivered without a plastic folder to contain all of the owners manuals. I have requested it twice from Steven Robles and after a week, I still don't have one. On the 3rd day of ownership, the check engine light went on. Seems to be a faulty gas cap. I asked Robles to send me a new cap so I don't have to make the drive from Camarillo to Mission Hills but he will not. He said he did not want to spend all of his commission on buying me a new cap. Even though this is my 3rd Toyota from Hamer.Mr. Robles is consistently late in returning calls and responding to emails, if in fact he follows up at all. Yesterday morning, he told me that he would have his customer relations representative call me later but as per Hamer operations go, there was no call.My advice is do not do business with Hamer. As important as a favorable price is, service and communication after the sale is even more important.DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HAMER!!!

Bought a used van from Hamer and had the pleasure of dealing with William Nilon for the purchasing process. He made the whole thing quick, easy and pleasant from start to finish, and was extremely personable, honest and thorough throughout every step, treating us like old friends instead of just another client. The financing was also quick and painless thanks to the excellent work of Danny ( hope I remembered his name correctly?). The dealership is also beautifully appointed and set up to make the customer comfortable and happy. All in all, a huge thumbs up and based on our experience, we will be doing business with Hamer again!

I went to another toyota dealer and they did not have the car i wanted, should have went straight to Hamer because i had bought 2 previous cars there (1st gen xb and tc). I was surprised of the inventory they have at Hamer and with in 5 minutes of being there i was already standing next to the car i was looking for getting ready or a test drive!! I helped my daughter with the purchase of her 2016 Prius Three Touring. We did our research for months. I saw a couple of great Prius' on the internet so I called and spoke with Lance and Megan in the internet department. Lance quoted us a great out the door price. We went in same day. Megan came out introduced herself and said Lance would be with us shortly. When Lance came out, he confirmed our discussion and said he'd be back with the car for a test drive. They gave us water while we waited. Lance got my daughter what she wanted with a little extra for the price he quoted. She was very pleased. Our finance guy was Armando. He was so great. This is usually where you feel the pressure but he was very kind. This was the best experience I had thus far in purchasing a car. Lance and Armando are the best! I can't thank Lance enough for all his help. My daughter is very picky and he made sure she got exactly what she wanted.

Being a repeat customer has its advantages. Marylou Santiago and Reno Reyes did most of the prep work even before i got to the dealership about my trade in/lease return vehicle and the new lease vehicle i wanted. I proposed to trade in my other car, the Prius, but William was never a NO-GUY! He had a WINNING ATTITUDE! He said, "It may be difficult but it's possible!" This is what separated him from all the so-called "Internet Managers" when we went shopping online. William Nilon is a WINNER! The two products are even but we LIKED William because again, he treated us with RESPECT! And even on a rainy, rainy day he delivered our car, too! He also called me yesterday, Wednesday, March 4, 2014, mind you it was his day off - to follow up about everything about us and the car and especially our cargo area tonneau cover that was missing, just to make sure it will arrive immediately! I am out of state and bought a used Sequoia from Hammer Toyota. The price was fair. Hammer was to deliver the vehicle out of state at a predetermined date and location. They were not able to perform in time so the sales manager said they would deliver to my home address in Colorado. They were not able to ship the vehicle to our home address so the next destination was to be Grand Junction or Denver, both of which represent a five hour drive round trip. We spent all day tracking down the transport company and chasing down the Sequoia. We finally arrived back home in the Rocky Mountains at 11:00 PM. Before the vehicle shipped I asked the sales manager on five separate occasions to make sure the vehicle arrived with two sets of keys, including the two remotes that are standard equipment when new. The vehicle arrived with just one remote. I received an E-mail from Dave Gilman the sales manager asking me to complete a survey and to comment on the experience we had with Hammer Toyota. I provided the same explaination provided above. There has been no response from Mr. Gilman. I attribute our dissatisfaction to poor workmanship not due to a lack of integrity.

My search was over when I came to Hamer and met Jordan M., though I didn't yet know it. I had been looking all over town for a good used FJ Cruiser, as Toyota took them out of production. My search had taken me to over 16 dealers across the LA County, into Riverside and even Thousand Oaks for test drives. I liked it, and enjoyed hanging out with Jordan on the test drive, as he got why I wanted to trade in my Prius. He not only got it, he wanted one as well, and we talked of the fun of driving one of these. I ended up still continuing my search, being skeptical of the numbers, and noticed they were disappearing in dealers across town. I also noticed I'd accidentally forgotten my DL back at Hamer, so I went back and noticed the FJ still there. I worked with the sales managers and Jordan to get the best deal I could get for my trade in and the value associated with the used FJ. I drove off that day happy, and was eager to employ my new truck in the weekend when DTLA streets flooded. My Prius would have short circuited, but instead my FJ created a tidal wave...Thanks again! I look forward to many different adventures with my truck!

First thing first - unbelievable price! I called six other dealerships and asked them to match the quote offered from Hamer Toyota and no one could beat it. They couldn't even match it. Instead, they said that this is too good to be true. No one in their right minds would sell a brand new 2015 Toyota Camry at that price. Second, awesome service. No games. No hidden fees. Everything was just as expected. Charles Belton, the salesman, was honest, kind, patient, and the best ever! It's been by far the best car-buying experience!

Purchased a new 2015 Highlander Hybrid. Salesman was Jordan Macleod. I had done a lot of online shopping looking for trim, color, options I wanted, once we'd finalized on the Highlander Hybrid as the car we needed. Inventory for Hybrids is very small, so once we found the car we wanted at Hamer, the process moved quickly. There is really no negotiating on Hybrids, so the sales process is essentially sticker with a touch of a discount. We spent most of our negotiations pricing a trade in. Reach a happy medium, done. The hand off to the Financing Dept. was prompt. Finance Manager Shawn (don't remember his last name) was personable, prompt, very efficient with the paperwork, and very low key. I opted to add on a Toyota Total Care service package, passed on everything else. I have to "ping" Hamer slightly on the overall review, as I have just discovered that the SD card needed for the Navigation system was not installed and is still sitting at the dealership. In fairness to them, I passed on their offer to have all the systems explained to me before I drove off the lot. They have offered to courier the SD card to me ASAP to remedy this oversight. Nice gesture for correcting things.

Tony Delgadillo was a great sales man and there was no pressure into buying the vehicle that I wanted. My main priority was to walk away happy with the purchase that I wanted. This was our first visit to Hamer Toyota, but it will NOT be our last. We initially saw a Land Cruiser we were interested in posted on the internet. Being that we are from northern California, 6 hours away from this dealership, we decided to call the dealership and see if we could work out an agreement over the phone. We worked with Steve and Bianca at the dealership and they made the deal incredibly simple and hassle free. An agreement was made incredibly quickly over the phone. The next day we flew out to the nearest airport 10 miles away from the dealership (Burbank Airport) and Bianca was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and take us to the dealership where our SUV awaited ready to go. A simple test drive to assure everything was in order took a few minutes and we were ready to seal the deal. We worked with Steve to fill out to some basic paperwork and then we were off to see Zain, our Finance representative to complete the process. Zain was very delightful to work with and made the process very pleasant. He did not hesitate to assist us in understanding what each document was and the packages we could purchase to protect our new investment. Overall we had a wonderful experience (the best experience in over 10 car purchases) We will definetly be returning to this dealership for our next purchase. I hate negotiations and sales consultants not being upfront because I feel like I am in a ring with professionals who do it all day every day and my chances of winning are slim. So, I researched Toyota Prius 2014 in Trim Four and decided on the price I was willing to pay. To avoid haggling, I sent an email to the Internet Department with my price for the car. Steve Denson emailed me back right away and accepted my offer. When I arrived to the dealership, Steve Denson was polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. He was not too pushy or intimidating with his specialized knowledge but he answered all my questions patiently in a way I could understand. He was not trying to persuade me to purchase the car which many dealers do and it is very annoying. He just provided information and gave me the space to make my own decisions. While I was there, I received a call from another dealership who promised a better price. Steve did not make me feel bad for wasting his time but said that no dealership would be able to offer me a better deal than his. And he was right. The other dealerships just lead me on with false numbers that they ended up not honoring. So, I returned to Steve to finally buy the car. He continued with the same level of professionalism. He gave me a fantastic deal that the other 36 dealerships I contacted were not able to beat! Thank you, Steve

It soon became apparent that things have changed dramatically since this dealership was purchased by the Ken Garff Automotive Group. We were interested in two cars advertised online. One car couldn't even be found on the lot -- you'd think they could tell a customer if a car is available or not without walking around the lot. The second car was available, we checked it out and made an offer. The sales rep noted how two people had already tried to purchase the car over the weekend, but they couldn't get credit because of poor credit ratings. I noted that wouldn't be an issue for us because we'd be paying cash. The car was offered by Hamer at more than 20% above the highest "fair market price" for dealer sale by Kelley Blue Book. The sales rep insisted their cars are competitively priced and that once the sticker price is set, that's it. However, I noted that since we'd first seen the car online the previous week, Hamer had dropped the price $300 -- a fact that contradicted the sales rep's claim. He said nothing. I went ahead and made an offer for the top Kelly Blue Book price. The sales manager rejected it and didn't even make a counteroffer. Presumably, they'd rather sell overpriced cars to more profitable credit customers. We left and immediately found an immaculate pre-owned Toyota in better condition and at a substantially lower price than Hamer. We purchased that Toyota at another dealer where we didn't encounter any of the nonsense we'd found at Hamer. While the new owner has retained the Hamer name, it is not the same dealership we'd enjoyed working with several years ago. It should also be noted that Hamer is no longer part of a popular discount car buyer program through a large nationally-known membership store.

The buying experience from start to finish was excellent, with one exception. This is my 2nd 4Runner, the first being a 2006 Limited model. The addition of many computerized functions is almost mind boggling. It would have been nice to have someone spend about 10 minutes with me to go over the processes of programming and other "how to's" before I drove my new car off the lot.

They say they can get my car in2-3 days and we are like COOL with excitement so we FULLY paid-off the car and sold one of our car privately, We called on the 3rd day and they said usually it takes 3-5 days, with dismay we ask where is.the car? And they can't give us the location or whereabouts of the vehicle! 5 days has passed and still they can't give us answer of whereabouts of the vehicle,( I was like, if a simple mail package can be track, why not a $$K vehicle ? ) with frustration and disappointment, I emailed their GM and voice out my concern instead they decide to cancel the deal and refund us the money and they don't want to do business with us instead of offering us other option and better deal which we are expecting to make your costumer happy right?! Their excuse is due to my displeased email they can't do business with us, we're like ok, something fishy, so before they cancel our deal, I blast email all dealership( VIN) to watch out for our car once it shows on the market and will buy it to them. Sure thing we found out it was sold somewhere else the day they called me that they will refunded us the money, and our sales lady was speechless when we told her that. If only she and the Manager could have been honest and handle politely the situation we would love them,. They have nice facility but poor sales costumer services.. Good thing our bitterness didn't last long, thanks to MOSSY Toyota of San Diego!! One call closed the deal and drive to SD the next day to pick up our New car and even better deal!! So, it wasn't bad after all.. My conclusion, don't waste. Your time here if you want to save time and money!! My wife & I are first time lease buyer. We came here because it was Presidents Day and we taught that we could have a bunch of deals & promo. We are targeting to get a Highlander or Rav4 but because they have more to offer for the new Camry we decide to go Camry. At first the we choose and did a test drive of the Camry we want to get, but then when we're doing the dealing regarding the monthly price we can't agree for the price coz the one we like has some features that they can't match the price we asking. So we remove some of the features so that we can lower the monthly rate. So they look for a car at the inventory for the car we gonna get based on the features that we only want. So they said they found the car that has the features we want with the same color of the car we want but my wife and I didn't check the car anymore we're getting so we had no idea about the MSRP on the sticker of the car. So the salesperson start telling us the monthly payment without showing us the car and the breakdown how the come up with the monthly total. So far everything wasn't smooth dealing. Until after telling a lot of sales talk. We ended of taking the monthly payment. So I was brought to the financial supervisor to sign the paper including this hidden fees that it wasn't discuss during the sales talk appeared in the contract. My wife could not sign the contract coz she left during the sales process coz of her schedule to work so the salesperson brought the contract and drive to my wife work to sign the contract . But before that after I initially sign the contract I went to the inventory to check the car that I didn't see when they get it they we're washing it and I took a photo of the MSRP sticker price and I found out that it was a different price in the contract they put on. It was more higher price on the contract. But anyway to make the story short, please be aware of the price in the car sticker against the contract price. They will always be focusing your monthly payment. They don't even mention the promotional deals they're having.

It was my first time purchasing a car and my sale person Rafa made it less stressful. He was really really funny provided great customer service answered all my questions , and was not a pushy sales guy (like at other dealers I had gone to) So if you are looking for great customer service look for "Rafa".

My car buying experience at Hamer was truly exceptional. My salesman Tony helped to make the process easy, stress free and even fun . The part that I was most impressed with was the integrity that I encountered at Hamer. Tony quoted me what seemed to be too reasonable of a price over the phone for my new Prius. I was quite surpirsed that upon my arrival at the dealership, he continued to honor this low price! Tony was very knowledgable about the car and patiently instructed me regarding all of it's features. Sean in the Finance Dept. was also pleasent and had the same kick back attitlude that Tony did.I love my new car and I truly could not have asked for a better car buying experience. I will recommend Hammer and Tony to anyone I know who is looking for a new car.

My experience with my salesman "Raul" and the gentleman who filled out the paperwork "Adam" was the best I have ever experienced at a car dealer. Most salesman push you into something your not sure you want. But these guys exaplained everything and took the time to ask me what I wanted and get me the best possible vehicle to accomidate my needs. I am very happy with the price I paid and the vehiche that I chose. I will be a Hamer Toyota customer for life. I went to Hamer Toyota to have a family member's 2004 Highlander serviced. While there, I spoke to Steve Denson about a possible purchase of a 2013 Toyota Sienna Ltd. Steve was extremely knowledgeable about the Sienna and we road tested a van in inventory. We purchased the van and arranged for a trade in of our 2006 Toyota Sienna Ltd. The process was seamless, Darwin was helpful in arranging a fair trade in price, mutually acceptable. All purchase options and extended warranties were discussed and agreed upon. We are extremely satisfied with the process and personnel at Hamer Toyota.

When I was shopping for a car, I looked every where until I stopped into Hamer. WOW these people are very nice. The sales rep I had was not pushy at all. He was great. As I've said in my other review, I've been driving Toyota's for a while now. In my time, I've been to the majority of the major dealerships in SoCal, and never have I ever been treated so poorly at a dealership two years ago. The sales person was very full of himself, talking down to me as if I was a child. Even then, I decided to not make it personal and buy a car from them, because I thought I was getting a good deal... that was until they decided to tack on every charge in the book, but I didn't realize the extent until it was too late. I think this is the kind of dealership that would try to charge me to refill "horn fluid". I wouldn't really recommend anyone go to this dealership, unless they have a thing for poor service.
