Hamer Toyota is always professional and courteous. Steve Denson is the best! From day one we had a close relationship and he is an honest salesman and one that can be trusted. We had a 2013 Toyota RAV4 which I loved in the beginning of my lease, but toward the end I realized I needed something with a little more room. Steve suggested the Toyota Highlander which I am enjoying so far. Great recommendation. Love the space under the dash to put all your devices. No more storing them in the cup holders or inside the console and, no more devices falling on the floor. Huge cup holders in front row. Roomy center console. Plenty of trunk space and 3rd row seat. I shopped around before coming back to Steve at Toyota but, no one could beat his deal. I told Steve what I wanted to pay and he beat the quotes I received from competitors. HASSLE FREE. While there was a competitor I really wanted to lease from, the beauty of the car was all they had to offer. Found short cuts on the competitors craftsmanship of the interior under the seats and omitted amenities that were functional to me for extra bells and whistles. So glad, I came back to Steve Denson! Steve makes you feel like family and treats you like family. So important to me.

For the last few years I have been completing all of my car buying/leasing transactions utilizing fleet managers. Excluding back-and-forth dance with sales peoples on the floor saves me an average 5 hours of valuable time. Hamer Toyota Mission Hills has been my choice for the last three transactions and each next transaction was better than previous one. Steve Denson was great pleasure to work with. He gave me fair quote over the phone. In disbelief I had called about five other dealerships and all of them told me that his price wasn't real. I came to the dealership to complete paperwork in anticipation of some sort of disappointment. Steve delivered the deal as promised - no hidden fees, no pushing for extra services/ extra spendings. My total time spent there didn't exceed 2 hours. I will certainly come back for my car-related needs :-).

Unlike other dealerships where they keep you for the whole day (probably their strategy to leave you no choice other than to purchase the car) and force you to purchase the insurance package, they take care of your paperwork in a jiffy.I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours.

They honored the price and didn't try to sell me something that I didn't want except the extended warranty but all dealers do that I passed on the extended warranty but if you can't sleep at night without one go ahead and buy it

I have purchased my 4th Toyota Camry from this dealership. The reason I keep coming back is twofold: great service and a great sales person Steve Denson. I came in last Saturday and dealt with Steve. He was professional knowledgeable and right to the point. I told him what I wanted specifically and he was right on it and didn't waste my time. He is a busy guy but didn't ignore me and kept checking back with me until we were finished. He kept the whole process hassle free and enimilated the game playing. His associate Bionca was terrific also with helping me with the technology in the vehicle. If you need to buy a vehicle and want a professional experience and want to be treated like a VIP than Steve is your man. As far as service see Peter as he has been taking care of me for many years and he is a true and caring professional that will also give that VIP service. Let's face it, car buying can be stressful but not at Hamer Toyota working with Steve. I was recommended to the dealership and Steve Denson by a good friend whose opinion I highly respect. He was right. No doubt this was one of if not the best, easiest and most stress-free car buying experiences of my life. I've been buying cars for over 30 years and this experience was top notch. The dealership has a great selection, Steve is a dream to work with and I highly recommend him. The cars that were available (and there were many to choose from) were all top of the line, excellent quality, and condition. The negotiation and business end of the experience were also filled with grace and ease. Marylou was very kind and so easy to work with. Steve and the team at Hamer did an outstanding job individualizing my situation, my car selection, and my sale. I highly recommend this dealership and Steve! I've been to plenty of dealerships and it's always a game of tug-of-war, many of which don't care about your needs and just want to sell a car. This experience was different, by far. I had come across the vehicle I was interested online and quickly made a call to Hamer Toyota. Steve had taken the call and had let me know that the vehicle was on the lot and that I can come by anytime to check it out. After meeting with Steve, I noticed right off the bat that he wasn't the typical salesman who was going to do everything in his power and force me to the purchase, he was extremely welcoming and open to my comments and questions, both regarding the vehicle and financially without any rush. Steve briefed me on the vehicle (even though my mind was pretty set) and we discussed trade in options for my old vehicle. Before you know it I was already on the way to finance with a set of keys. The experience was painless, hassle and of much importance, pressure free. This was all due to the calm and diligence of Steve and his patience with understanding that this decision is mine.A huge thank you to Steve and Bianca for being the awesome team that they are. If you're anything like me you don't want to spend hours in a dealership while they try and sell you something you don't want. Since I have moved to Los Angeles I have purchased three cars and leased two - in 15 year and 5 dealership experiences this was the simplest and most seamless transaction I have ever experienced. The icing on the cake; Steve gave me the best deal for my car of choice and believe me I shopped around.I set out to purchase a 2016 Toyota Prius. I knew what I wanted and went back to my current dealership first out of loyalty. They quoted me a price via email then requested I come in. I explained I didn't want / need to come in, I knew what I wanted and I knew what number I wanted to hit for payments. They said if I come in we can discuss it further. I explained there was nothing to discuss either they could come down on the offer or not. They again requested I come in. I then moved on. I was given Steve Denson's information from a friend. I text him, he text me back. In a few exchanges we had a deal in place. EASY! THANK YOU!I had some financing issues. Steve offered me options and worked with me. He was patient, and we communicated predominantly via email and text. I cannot stress how much of a difference this made to me. Of course he invited me down but when I explained that I work and wasn't very interested in spending an entire weekend day in a dealership he respected that and moved forward on my terms. That, to me, is what is at the very heart of customer service because its customer centered sales. I don't know why more dealerships are not practicing it.Naturally I had to visit the office to sign paperwork (and get the car). We agreed on a time and Steve had all my paperwork printed and ready to go. Moreover - while there he surprised me with an even better deal than we agreed upon. He honored something I didn't even ask for. He went above and beyond. If Toyota is your car of choice and you're not doing business with Steve Denson of Hamer you're doing yourself a disservice.

SHADY, SHADY DEALING. Dave told me straight to my face "I know you have outside financing but sign this form, put down your SSN. We won't actually run the credit check but it's just for reference." Me being a naive, first time car buyer did as told thinking "This guy can't actually be lying to my face, can he?" Yes, he was. I checked my credit report a month later, and lo and behold, "Hamer Toyota" shows up as a hard credit pull and my score is dinged.For reference, this is what a former car salesman told me about the practice of forcing customers (even with outside financing, like I did) to fill in credit application forms:"This is the exact experience you will get at every major dealer in California at the least. They will run your credit if you fill out that form and they will not sell you a car without you filling it out. You could bring in cash and they would make you fill it out. Not joking. I sold cars briefly and a guy wanted to buy a Corvette in cash and he spent 3 hrs arguing why he shouldn't have to fill out a credit app.The reason they do this is not for the reason they say. They will tell you it has something to do with the Patriot Act. While they do have to fill out something for the PA it is not the reason. But that usually gets most people to fold. The dealerships get nice kickbacks from financial institutes this is also how the finance guy gets paid. Even though you have financing or cash they will run your credit and try to get you to finance the car. They have also been none to open the account and instantly pay it off with the funds you provide. Thus giving them the kickback but unless you watch your credit you would not be any wiser.If you fill it out they will run your credit even if they tell you they won't."STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If they're pulling shady, unethical business practices like this, be assured they won't be shy about throwing ethics out the window in any other step of the process.If you want to see more about my experience at this dealership, look for the 1 star review on Yelp that has several updates. Hands down the best Dealership and salesman ever. This is my 8th car buying experience and nobody can touch Hamer Toyota or Steve. Steve welcomed not only myself but my 3 kids and wife. Other dealerships just take time to barely know the clients name that's going to buy the car, but not Steve. He remembered all our names and dealt with all of us in a professional friendly manner. For a quick second I literally felt Steve was going to roll out a red carpet, that's the level or service he brings. No question was turned down, Steve answered every question truthfully and honestly. Not much of the time this can be said about anyone, especially in the saws business. I will be going back to Hamer Toyota and seeing Steve again very soon. Steve I want to thank you again from the bottom of our family's heart, and you make dreams come to reality. If you happen to see Steve take time and read his best investment that sits right behind him. I won't spoil it, go and see Steve and read it yourself. I did research for months on cars and had decided on a RAV-4 Hybrid. I had a set budget and started to look around. No dealer could get the RAV-4 Hybrid even close to my budget, so i thought I would have to give up and settle on another car. The day before I purchased a different car that I didn't like as much, we found Steve. After a second extremely good car buying experience with Steve Denson I felt compelled to write a review as you rarely find such a straightforward honest and helpful sales person within the car industry. Ive had other positive experiences as Ive purchased over 10 new cars in my life and this was the first transaction were I was completely comfortable throughout the entire process. The first car purchased from Steve was for my daughter and it was an entry level Camry and Steve act as if were buying their luxury model. Everything was perfectly explained paperwork was meticulously handled and my daughter felt going to the dealership was a great experience. I came back a year later to aid my parents-and-laws in purchasing their Toyota. They wanted the reliability our family had found in the many Toyota's we have owned. Steve again assisted in the transaction and made my elderly parents-in-laws very comfortable accommodating all of their needs as he again provided an outstanding transaction experience. We just purchased a 2017 Camry from Hamer. The sales price was slightly better than competing dealers but what a mistake we made going to Hamer. The sales guy, Steven Robles, took forever to finally deliver the car, even though we already had a confirmed and printed price from there internet sales rep., and even though we paid cash. We just waited and waited, with no apparent progress. The car detailing was done while we were waiting for the registration documents, when most dealers fill the tank and detail the car after the price is agreed upon. After several hours at Hamer, we were finally able to go home, hungry and tired. The car was delivered without a plastic folder to contain all of the owners manuals. I have requested it twice from Steven Robles and after a week, I still don't have one. On the 3rd day of ownership, the check engine light went on. Seems to be a faulty gas cap. I asked Robles to send me a new cap so I don't have to make the drive from Camarillo to Mission Hills but he will not. He said he did not want to spend all of his commission on buying me a new cap. Even though this is my 3rd Toyota from Hamer.Mr. Robles is consistently late in returning calls and responding to emails, if in fact he follows up at all. Yesterday morning, he told me that he would have his customer relations representative call me later but as per Hamer operations go, there was no call.My advice is do not do business with Hamer. As important as a favorable price is, service and communication after the sale is even more important.DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HAMER!!!

I bought a lightly used 2016 Tundra 4x4. It took over 5 hours to complete the deal even though we knew exactly what we wanted. There were very long periods of 30 minutes or more where we were left waiting for either finance, the sales manager or some other thing. We had to come back for more waiting as the floor mats and one of the fobs was missing. They tried to hand me torn mats saying these came out of the truck. The truck had barely 8K on the clock and was "Certified" Why would you go cheap on mats? In the end, they took mats from another used truck and gave them to me. This was an OK experience. I needed a car because my 14 year old Camry was totaled last June. So, I did my research and got quotes from different dealers, and decided to go with Hamer because it seemed so easy talking to their agent (Steven Robles) on the phone. Since we can only go on a Saturday, I already knew it will take longer than the two hours max I hoped for. When we got there, Steven showed me a couple of options we discussed, test drove one, picked another, weighed my options, and made a decision. We waited a bit for the 'final segment' (accounting), but I appreciated that I wasn't "forced" to agree to buy extra insurance stuff, like when we bought my Camry 14 years ago. Overall, it was a great experience.

Test drove the car & got a print out of the price. Dealer obtained my preferred color the next day and sent a photo. I verified, by text messaging, the price and method of payment. Came in, was told method of payment, that was agreed on in writing was unacceptable - "regardless of what you were promised in writing, you pay our way or no deal " Salesman drove me to bank, when arrived he gets a call, bottom line price is $500.00 more than the amount on printout that was agreed upon and verified twice in writing before I returned to the dealership."You pay the new price or no deal" Salesman drives me back to dealership empty handed. I was ready to walk away but wanted to speak to the owner first. Of course, he, is not available. Asked for the general Manger that writes these beautiful promissing, tempting letter he, of course, is unreachable, asked for the sales manager and was told to go to the office behind the glass door. When asked the receptionist what's his name, whom should I ask for, her answer: " anyone there, they are all Sales Managers "After showing the printout and reading out loud, to the entire forum of managers, the written communications, one nice mangers asked "are you done? " and when I said yes, he responded by saying "I'll take care of you, but don't threaten me with writing to the owner and social media, this doesn't phase me " I asked - are you going to sell me the car for the agreed upon price on the printout? Yes or No? And when he affirmed, I wrote it down on his business card, went back to the bank, got the money and drove away.One of the most humiliating experiences of my life, when all I wanted is to buy a brand new second car in a dignified, straightforward way from the dealer that sold me my first ever brand new Toyota 12 month earlier.

My husband and I were recommended by a friend to Steve. We were hesitant at first as we are not into the whole "Car Salesman" routine. I was also nervous as it would be first time buying a toyota and a hybrid at that. We met Steve and he was very thorough with the explanation of the hybrid and the differences between 2 that I was interested in. We took a ride on the 2016 prius 3 & I will be honest it was "love at first drive" I wanted the vehicle but again was not sure if I could afford it, due to my credit score. He looked into our information & confirmed that not only could I get the car but at a 0.0% or 0.9%. I was ecstatic, the process was not only easy there was no "BS" in waiting for approval. Steve also introduced us to Marylou Santaigo for the financing, she was a doll, explained everything in detailed to what I was signing and made it very easy to understand. This was a great experience and so far I definitely can see myself going to Steve again when we need another vehicle. My sister and I are a first-time car buyer. Consequently, my parents wanted us to deal with a Korean salesperson whom my parents feel more comfortable dealing with because of their limited English capabilities and cultural barrier. But those are not a problem when it comes to doing business with Steve. We first went into Steve'e office thinking that we will be spending long hours negotiating and visiting at least two or three other dealerships afterwards. It turns out we didn't have to do that. Steve did not waste our time nor his time. He cut right to the chase and offered the best deal-- even beating the one made from the Korean salesperson. I came in to have my battery checked out on a Saturday because my battery had strangely died the night before. Not only did he have them check my battery but they did a whole diagnostic on the car to make sure everything was running fine and suggested I do a maintenance that day as I was due for one. They ended up having to replace a sensor and he quickly got it ordered and took care of my car that Monday after the weekend. Great employee and a pleasure to work with. A+

If you are handicapped, special needs or trading in a car do not use hamer. I was shocked that they did not know about "Toyota mobility assistance program". I liked the price; however, they expected me to drive off in a car I could not drive. Toyota has provisions for this but it would have caused them a little extra work.Usaa and retired military support your disabled brothers and boycott homerI have read many comments and have come to the following conclusion:This is the Toyota business model. Sell, sell, sell...who cares about the customer. I had a friend who was a master mechanic and worked for Hamer. I was shocked by his low salary. We can't blame the employees who are probably treated in a disrespectful way. How would you feel working for Toyota. If you know exactly the car that you want and there are no little problems such as trade in, mediocre credit, handicapped etc., you will most likely have a decent experience. Any little diversion which can slow them down will not be addressed. They will go low Kelly regardless of condition or mileage. Depend on that!For that reason, I strongly recommend that USAA members boycott this type of business activity. As a member and leader of many disabled advocacy groups, I will be vocal and advertise my experience at Hamer. I sure hope that they take my advice.

Hamer Toyota does not honor special APR financing that is advertised on their own website. Their salesman try to pull the ole' switcharoo and claim the vehicle you want is suddenly sold. Really! A sold vehicle is not going to be in a corner all dusty and available for a test drive. Finance guy Abraham tries to add a percentage point to the APR to pad profits. Claims ignorance to special financing even though you're showing it to him on a smartphone.Follow up questions regarding their business practices have been unresponsive! Scammer Abraham.

I usually only write reviews when I have had a bad experience, because I figure the good businesses already have enough positive reviews. This was different...Buying my new Prius was different. I am super wary of all car dealerships, in general --- I don't want to be treated like a slab of meat, I just want to be told the truth, and deal with the numbers, without the whole song & dance. I came in to Hamer, knowing that I wanted a Toyota Prius C, with how much I was willing to pay, how much I was willing to put down, and get to those numbers without all of the sales BS. I got that with Mikey Huffman, who got me what I wanted. He and Claudio who was so incredibly helpful with the #'s, with the test drive, with the selection, with explaining everything, with the finance department got me my new Toyota Prius C, for the price I wanted, and (especially Claudio) went above and beyond. Everyone knows that purchasing a car can be both stressful and exciting; Steve was able to help remove the stress and make the experience truly an unforgettable one! As a full time student in college and living on my own, the idea of having to buy a car was too scary to even think about! I was contacted by Lance Lake, my salesperson after I used the TrueCar website. He quoted me a great price over the phone and was very polite and friendly. I did not hesitate to come on over to the dealership. Once I arrived, he came quickly after the front desk receptionist paged him. He had the car all ready for me to see and allowed me to go on a test drive long enough to decide if I liked the vehicle or not. I decided to proceed with the transaction so we walked inside and got started with the paperwork. Everything was done over the computer which was convenient (credit application), I always hated working on the application on a piece of paper with limited writing space. During this time, I was talking to Lance about my 4 month old nephew and later while I was in finance, Lance came to me and delivered the keys to the car along with a printout of a cream he recommended for the newborn. That caught me off guard and I was surprised, I was very thankful and happy to see such kindness from sales. Thank you Lance, the cream you recommended is helping and I appreciate the help. Once I was done with finance, Lance had the car all personally washed and cleaned inside and out. He then sat me inside and took the time to show me all of the options the vehicle had and how to use them. I did not feel pressured with Lance and everything went smoothly. It was easy to approach salesperson and manager when purchase is deemed necessary. It didn't take a lot of time to complete the purchase. Sales consultant follow through with any issues may arise.One thing I do wants to point out that Californian required to sign too many forms which takes way too much time. I had experience to make a purchase outside California, it took no more than 30 minutes.The Sales Floor is very friendly set up with coffee, bottled water and donuts while you are waiting. The staff are friendly indeed.

As a young, first time car buyer, my wife and I chose Hamer due to referrals and great service. After scheduling an appointment with another employee, and noticing a price discrepancy of about $3000 about what was quoted versus what was listed online, I came earlier than my appointment (gut feeling) and found Paul Arias who showed me the car I wanted. As he was closing the deal, a small dispute (clients can hear) arose from the employee I chose to not work with and overtook Paul's deal. Despite the small setback, my wife and I found the overall experience at Hamer was honest, respectful, and believe me, very professional. I've bought several cars from Hamer in the past and now my wife needed a new car. Salesman Carlos Rodriguez, a pleasant young man who was helpful and informative without being pushy helped us through the selection process. My wife decided she wanted a Scion XB, the one that looks like a shoebox. Carlos spent a lot of time, and I mean a lot of time, with us explaining the car's features and equipment. He took a couple of calls from us after we took the car home. He didn't try to hurry us off the phone, took a good amount of time explaining a complicated radio system (at least to us). When I said I still wasn't sure about how to deal with all the menus, he suggesting I bring the car so he could explain it in person. No high pressure, just old fashion customer service, something that a lot of other business seem to be unable or unwilling to offer.

Luckily, we were able to find the 2016 Camry in the color that we wanted at Hamer. Also, they helped us get a better deal than the one we we're originally trying to get at the other dealership. My Hamer Toyota experience was ok at best. First, Meghan Brown, my online salesperson, who referred me to Donn Mendoza, never actually came over to introduce herself (I was told she was tied up when I arrived, but I was the dealership for over 2...my first disappointment). Next, after completing my paperwork with Donn, he virtually disappeared while I sat alone at a 4 seat table for over an hour waiting for the documentation person. Upon arriving at the documentation person's office, I felt a bit pressured by her during the paperwork process (I get that she is compensated for cross-selling high margin services). For example, she sold me a $980, 5-year service package eventhough I learned after I got home I already received a no-cost Toyota Care maintenance package (2 year or 25,000 miles), which came with my purchase....I'm rather upset with this. Further, I was asked so provide my initials on an electronic signature pad that that had to be more than 20 years old and didn't have a clear screen. After finishing up with the documentation process, I felt somewhat rushed by Don to get out of the lot; he didn't have the courtesy to actually help me my bags that I left in the showroom at the beginning of the process. The icing on the cake was Don promised to provide me a couple of referrals for window tinting and ding repair service + call me within 2 days of the purchase. As of this writing, I have yet to receive an email, text, or phone call from him. Overall, my car buying experience was lackluster at best and probably wouldn't purchase nor recommend friends/family use Hamer in the future. Not sure if this review will make it Management, but if so, I apologize for the bad review. I wanted to be honest so that future customers don't have to go through the same experience.Jeff Jeff

This is what happened to me I stopped buy to check into a new truck, the truck I was looking for had just started to hit the dealers......he showed me one ....saw that I was a 60 yo working guy driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma with 250,000 miles we talked he asked if I had maintained my current truck I told him it was still running great....He looked me in the eye and told me to call him in a month when they had a larger stock of the truck that I wanted so he could help me with the price. I am 60 yo and he was the first car salesman to tell me I didn't need to buy a new truck right then....I called him a month later and he gave me the true car "Great Price" over the phone.

We bought our 2015 Toyota Prius at Hamer Toyota via Costco pricing. Between the Costco price and the Toyota year-end $3000 mark-down we saved a lot of money. But it was the helpful and easy-going, hassle-free service provided by Steven Robles that really made this a pleasant experience. While the Costco pricing was great in terms of having a set price that was rock-bottom, the unexpected bonus was the pleasant service provided by Steven. I expected a much less enthusiastic response from the dealership since they were presumably not making the level of money off the sale as they would like.So I would definitely recommend them.

Mr. Valencia has poor people skills. After having me waiting for 3+ hours, he wouldn't let me talk. He told me it didn't matter to him if I got my car serviced at Hamer or not, so I didnt. He was so rude; another assistant manager talked to me and waived the inspection fee because he felt bad for how Mr. Valencia had handled things with me. Mr. Valencia never apologized for his rudeness and lack of professionalism.

Normally, buying a car is very stressful. Steve made our buying experience easy and I didnt feel any stress at all. He is very courteous and answered all our questions. She was so knowledgeable and professional which was surprising because she is very young. My lease on Toyota Prius Plug-in was expiring in a few months. Nicole Gonzalez from the dealership called to get the new car early and informed me there is the model and the car I wanted at the dealership. After a short negotiation we agreed on the price. The filing of the documents was a breeze and soon I was on my way with a new car. The whole experience was great.The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the dealership did not inform me of the state rebate program and how to get my green stickers for car pool.

So my wife and I traipse down to Hamer Toyota on July 4 after reflecting on how very blessed we are to live in the USA, the "Greatest country on God's green earth" (Michael Medved) with my wife clutching her dog eared copy of "Consumer Reports" used car guide.We were fortunate to meet with a no nonsense gentleman named Steve Denson and his able assistant Bianca. He showed us many used (I mean pre-owned) as well as new cars without trying to influence our decision with the proverbial fast talk and there was zero pressure. We thanked him for his time and left. We took the next several days to review and research and decided to do business with Hamer.Yesterday I called Steve and said I would return to his store today as my wife and I had made a decision. We agreed on leasing a new Toyota Vensa with more bells and whistles than we'll ever use. I arrived promptly at 11:30a for our scheduled appointment and Steve was waiting for me. Completing the initial paperwork and credit app was simple and uneventful and the deal was executed very promptly and efficiently.Steve then ushered me into the wizard Adriana's office to complete the DMV paperwork and she knows her business as we finished the signings in record time, then her printer spit out a temporary registration and I was on my way.A quick aside: At one point Steve went to retrieve some paperwork and while I was awaiting his return I overheard Bianca call a customer and say, "I just checked and your car cover isn't in yet but we expect it tomorrow and I'll call you when it arrives". When was the last time a business called you and said, "Hey, we haven't forgotten about you". This probably sounds like I have a vested interest in this joint, well, I don't. I've bought other vehicles over the years but can't remember leaving a dealership feeling so satisfied because I felt I had received great service, was made to feel special and paid a very very fair price for the vehicle. After 10 years of owning his Acura, I finally convinced my husband he needed a new car. I wanted to look at several different cars but the only one we agreed on was the Toyota Prius. We purchased our Sienna van from Mary Lou Santiago and made an appt with her again. Although they did not have the exact color Prius that we wanted, Mary Lou found one and had it delivered to Hamer. We are happy with our new Prius and feel we got a good deal on the price. We have recommended Hamer to others even though there is another Toyota dealer closer to us, and if we are in need of a new Toyota in the future (we now have 3) we will not hesitate to go back to Hamer. I went on TrueCar.com to get a price for a new 2015 Toyota Prius and called up Steve to confirm the price. Steve confirmed the TrueCar price and said he'd have the car washed, gassed, and ready to pick up. I went to the dealership, did all the paperwork and drove off in my new Prius in about 90 minutes. I purchased a Toyota Prius 2015 last week. I had done all of my research online and knew what I wanted to buy when I showed up to the dealership. I had shopped around comparing negotiated prices at various dealerships and prices obtained online. Hamer Toyota provided me with the lowest price available and the service was excellent - even though I didn't show up to buy the car until 8pm. Within the first 10 minutes of showing up, Mr. Ayala had the car we wanted ready to test drive. After a short round of paperwork, we drove off the lot in a new car at a rock bottom price. I negotiated for an all cash purchase at another Toyota dealership just two weeks prior and Hamer Toyota beat their price by more than $5,000 (though we financed this time). All of the other online dealers where at least $1,000 more expensive. By TrueCar standards, this was an exceptionally low price and the process was made even better by excellent service. In the end, I was able to use the money I saved to purchase a good dealership service package with an extended warranty and have already recommended this dealership to some friends who are looking to make a similar purchase. Seriously, this was the best car buying experience ever! In, out and on your way.

I wanted a Prius and went through TrueCar. Steve and Bianca contacted me immediately through e-mail and I drove one that night. I closed on the TrueCar price with Steve at that time but unfortunately Hamer didn't have the color I wanted in-stock. Steve gave me a range of dates that the car I wanted would be delivered that was accurate. They kept me informed of the status of delivery that turned out to be one week later. I set up an appointment and the car was prepped and gassed when I got there. Minimum time to go through the paperwork and I was driving away. Truly a hassle free car buying experience.

First of all this is NOT one of those reviews written because the sales person asked me to. This is an honest consumer review and nothing more. I buy a couple of cars per year and I know how the industry works. I had a bad experience with Hamer before regarding a car I was interested in purchasing. A few months later, I was looking for another car for our company and I decided to give Hamer a shot again. I was really looking for a sales manager or director to deal with since I really dont have time for the whole salesman crap that takes the whole day. I shop online and come in when there is a deal on the table and I was very lucky that Steve was the person who answered my online inquiry. He gave me a straight forward quote and being a bargain hunter I also looked around to see if anyone else offered a better deal and all I got were sour replies from other managers who couldn't beat Steve's pricing. So I went ahead and got the car from Steve and he is genuinely a great person and really is the definition of hassle free car buying. I was in and out in about 2 hours. I was in the market for a used Ford F-150. I went to look at used inventory and did not find what I was looking for. Fortunately they kept me posted as used inventory arrived. I received a call that a used F150 had just arrived and was within the specifications I was looking for. I immediately went down at about 8:00 pm and test drove the F150. Upon return I seen the tundra and had to take it out. I fell in love with it and left around midnight with my new truck.

Excellent experience and I am the nightmare of sales person. Did my research on Edmonds, car guru and true car sites. Went with my true car estimates. Physically went to three other dealers prior to Hammer. All three said hammer would not honor there true car price and would put additional fees or items to the estimate. North Hollywood Toyota spent less than five minutes with me and simply said they were not interested in selling me the car at the price from hammer toyota's true car estimate. Called Ryan at Hammer and he sent me a text with a confirmation of price and price work sheet. I paid $6000 under Msrp with the 2000 rebate and a five hundred owner loyalty rebate. I paid between $2220 and $1100 below five other true car estimates for the identical car. Apples to apples. Showed up at the dealer 30 minutes after calling, on a busy Saturday. Walked out with a signed deal in 45 minutes, most of the time waiting for the financing to be completed. Asked them to deliver car. They came and picked me up at my home on Tuesday and brought me to dealer to get my car, I had no way to get the new car and my old car home at the same time.

This is the way to sell cars. Why do most car salesmen/women get a bad rap? Because of experiences like the one I had before I went to see Steve Denson at Hamer. I was at Keyes Toyota on Van Nuys and went through all the old stock BS that give car salesmen a bad name. Insulting quotes that assume the buyer is an uninformed ignoramus. The old, "I'm going to have to ask my manager about this price" baloney. Me being frustrated and annoyed and walking out the door only for the salespeople to stop me halfway to my car with "wonderful news" about how the manager just added extra incentives. How about doing business the way Steve Denson does it at Hamer? He's respectful, direct, honest and caring. He wants you to have a great buying experience that will keep you coming back and spreading the word. He knows if you enjoy it, you'll be back. Repeat Business! That's what Hamer will have from me, and Keyes will never again. Also, big shout out to Bianca, Steve's assistant who also helped elevate the experience with her kind manor and expertise.

My recent experience with Hamer Toyota buying a new Prius was exceptional. The salesperson, Moises Martinez-Chavaria understood my requirements and conditions and did not play the usual dealer cat and mouse tactics. The finance rep, Jeff, did not play the hard sell games (which I wonder ever work anyways). He explained the various options I had towards financing and the benefits of extended warrantees, and accepted whatever decisions that we made, without the high pressure. The service department made a small customization setting in the time promised. My overall impression of Hamer is first rate and would highly recommend them.

I found the new car I wanted through TRUECar and locked in the price. Steve called me within minutes and told me to come in. I definitely had a tough case. I was upside-down on what I owed on my leased car and the car had frame damage among other damage from 3 accidents in 3 months (surprisingly none were my fault!) Steve didn't hassle me. He explained everything, offered me a great trade in value on my beat up car, secured the locked in price from the internet and told me what my payments would be. This was a new experience for us, "No Hassle Purchase!!!! Steve spent so much time with us, with not one complaint. We looked first at 2015 Corolla's, took a test drive, then my husband decided he wanted to try the 2015 Camry SE. We test drove the car then my husband decided on the Camry!!! Steve never hesitated once, showing us something about the car, or answering our unending questions. The whole process went very smooth. We used to buy car at keyes.. But Hamer offers a better deal than Keyes Toyota on blackfriday sales event. So, we decided to check them out. The place is very clean.. staff are accomodating, free water, coffee.. Theres a little play area for little kids, The guy who assisted us, Marvin Haney is honest, very nice, straightforward and very helpful to us. He's far better than our previous salesman at keyes. Got a call from Bianca as I was walking into another local dealership. I told her I was intending to buy there, but if things did not work out I would call her back. Working with both Steve and Bianca was a car-buyers dream come true. Negotiations started through emails, and unlike the several other dealerships I was negotiating with, Steve and Bianca delivered on their promise. The other dealers I spoke to gave me a quote that was "better" than Hamer's, that is, until I actually went in. Then they insisted that Steve and Bianca were lying to me because their offer was too good of a deal and they'd be losing money on it. Well needless to say, I ended up meeting with Steve and Bianca. They kept their word despite my reluctance to believe them, gave me a better deal than what I finally settled on, and I was out with all my paperwork finished in an hour and some change. This is a car buying experience that I would have paid extra money for. Instead, I got the exact car of my choice, friendly and honest service with the finance guy, had the two best sales people in all of California, and paid less than what 10 surrounding dealerships were trying to charge! These two need to run a training program on what the experience should be like! On another note, during the process I had Bianca's personal cell. She responded to all of my many questions instantaneously, within 5 minutes and throughout all hours of the day, even while she was at the gym. Amazing.

I started by placing internet pricing on various dealer's website. I also used Edmunds and TrueCar. The best price was from TrueCar with Hamer Toyota having the best price. Manny contacted me about visiting their dealership. He was very friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. When I arrived, Manny referred me to Steve Denson. This was a great move by Manny. Steve is awesome to work with. There was issues with the TrueCar pricing that I noticed right away. I selected financing but yet TrueCar applied a $1,500.00 rebate to my quote. They also defaulted on the color and the options of the 2014 Sienna LE that was quoted. Steve assured me that his system took into consideration additional discounts due to the van he has in stock has more options. After about 30 minutes, the deal was made. There was no haggling or the back and forth price negotiations that I was accustomed to in the past. TrueCar helped me save time and we agreed upon roughly what was quoted by TrueCar. This was by far the most easiest car buying experienced I have ever had. Steve took the time to answer all my questions. Thank you Steve for your professionalism and honesty! I also want to thank Shawn in Finance who made this part of deal hassle free. Normally in the past, the Finance person would want to sell the extended warranty and was very pushy. Shawn did a great job in explaining all the extras without pressuring me to buy. This is a good move because I left the dealership feeling great about my purchase and at a price that I think was a good deal. Each and every step of the car buying process was excellent. Also, Bianca, Steve's assistant, helped me with the basic operations of the vehicle before I left the dealership. She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was very patient. She made sure I was comfortable with the basics. This was an extremely busy Labor Day Weekend and their dealership was packed. However, due to people mentioned above, I was in and out in 2.5 hours. I must commend management for the workflow that they have placed on the car buying experience at Hamer Toyota. This was by far the best experience I ever had in buying a car. I just went in to buy new Prius. It was a very easy, smooth transaction. The customer service was outstanding and Charles Belton, Sales Manager made the process quick and painless. The employees we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. But the process took way too long. We arrived there around 11am on a Thursday and didn't leave until after 5. We did go out for a quick lunch. We also requested a color not in stock with the dealer so the resulting (futile)search for this color at another dealership took awhile. We were happy with the price of the car and would probably go back there if we decided to purchase another Toyota.

After shopping around for a Prius C lease for what seemed like an eternity I stumbled upon Steve at Hamer Toyota. He was the first and only dealer I spoke with who was willing to talk specifics over the phone, which saved me so much time and hassle. I wish I'd found him sooner. I got the car I wanted at a great price, and was in and out within 3 hours. If any of my friends are looking for a Toyota, I will send them straight to Steve.

The car I wanted was not available- Steve and Bianca made sure I got what I wanted and so in a short while after explaining buying and leasing options - I knew what I wanted. However the color and model was not available. In 2 short hours the car was brought to me from Manhattan Beach .Steve went above and beyond to help me get the car I wanted. Thanks to Blanca and Steven our experience was wonderful. We downloaded TrueCar prices and called Hamer Toyota because they had the best price. Blanca worked with us over the phone and we had a quote in 15 minutes. We showed up at the dealer, walked straight into the office, and went over the deal. Everything was exactly as was quoted over the phone....no hidden fees....no extras added.....no complications at all! Our experience started with a phone call from our home at 2 pm and we were back home with our new car before 6 pm. Everyone we dealt with was honest, straight forward, and quick, even though it was Labor Day weekend. This is the way to do business!

Steve Denson is the man! He found me the car, he honored true car prices, and he got me in and out under 3 hours on an incredibly busy Saturday. He even had the tank filled and car cleaned before we finished signing paperwork. It was a 100% hassle-free experience. I can't stress enough how awesome this guy is. Steve is one of those guys that legitimately cares about his customers more than he cares about his commission. With all of the salespeople I met at other dealers, I can tell you that he is 1 in a million. It was a pleasure doing business with him and I'll return to him with all of my future Toyota Purchases.

I've bought a few cars in my time. I'm used to a dealership saying they can get you out in less than an hour...then four hours later you are still waiting. Even though Steve and his team couldn't get us out less than hour; they now hold the new world record of fastest car dealer transaction by getting us in and out of a dealership in,..an hour and twenty minutes. There wasn't any hidden fees, dealer markups or follow-on sale pressure for warranties, etc.... Just the deal, the finance, the car. I will do business again with them. My mom and brother met with Steve Denson to buy a Prius using a TrueCar deal, and he provided the best customer service (I couldn't make it to the dealership, but spoke with Steve over the phone). He was very patient in finding us the model my mom wanted. In spite of a few hiccups with the original TC estimate, Steve honored our offer and gave us an incredible deal. He walked me through all the additional fees and financing details over the phone. He was super nice, humorous, and trustworthy, making the experience pleasant. Who does not feel nervous when purchasing a new car? I must say I was feeling very nervous when waling in to Hammer Toyota but Steve Denson came out to greet us and showed us just what we asked for. I hate the car buying process! The anxiety, the stress, the negotiating, the money, the terms. It's all overwhelming, At least it was until I found Steve Denson at Hamer Toyota.My old Hyundai Tucson had served me well, but it was time to make an upgrade. My main goal was to find something with better gas mileage while still maintaining the comfort and flexibility of my old crossover. I had visited several other dealerships looking for just the right car and had immediately felt the pressure and sleaze that we all hate when buying a new vehicle.I continued to do my research and found a pre-owned Prius at Hamer Toyota. I called Steve and made an appointment to see the car. From the moment I met him he was genuine, pleasant, listened to me and offered information when I asked for it. Not once did I feel pressure or sleaze. We test drove the Prius and I wasn't sure it was right for me. But I new I needed something. As we walked back to the office we passed a Rav4 and I thought, "why not take it for a spin?" We took it out and I fell in love with it. When I asked Steve if we could take the Prius back out for a final drive to make sure that it wasn't what I wanted, he was extremely accommodating and nice. I played with the idea of having Hamer install leather seats in the Prius, but something about the new body style of the Rav4 had me.The money side of the transaction was easy and I felt like Steve really wanted to work with me. In the end the deal was great and the service was even better. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone that asks about buying a new or used car.Thanks to Steve and Hamer Toyota I have many years of happy driving ahead!

I had contacted dealers all over Southern California to see about getting a lease on a new Prius. My current lease was expiring and I was looking to swap out for a new one. I work a lot, so I emailed dealerships to get some basic price quotes so that I could find something within my budget. Most refused to send anything via email and asked me to come in. On the occasions that I did make it into the dealers, I was put through the hard sell even though the pricing was clearly not within the budget I had specified in the email. It was miserable.Enter Steve (with an assist to Costco).I was connected to Steve through the Costco car buying program. I gave him (and his assistant Bianca) some info about what was looking for and they called back immediately with some options. When I went to the dealer, rather than haggle or draw it out, Steve immediately asked what my goal was. I told him, and within 15 minutes, he had a car for me, at the price I wanted, with a swap out for my lease that was ending. The entire process took a little more than an hour.Steve was straightforward, clear, and didn't try to pressure me at any point.

This was our first visit to Hamer Toyota, but it will NOT be our last. We initially saw a Land Cruiser we were interested in posted on the internet. Being that we were from northern California, 6 hours away from this dealership, we decided to call the dealership and see if we could work out an agreement over the phone. We worked with Steve and Bianca at the dealership and they made the deal incredibly simple and hassle free and an agreement was made incredibly quickly over the phone. We then flew out to the nearest airport 10 miles away from the dealership (Burbank Airport) and Bianca was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and take us to the dealership where our SUV awaited ready to go. A simple test drive to assure everything was in order took a few minutes and we were ready to seal the deal. We worked with Steve to fill out to some basic paperwork and we were off to see Zain, our Finance representative to complete the process. Zain was very delightful to work with and made the process very pleasant. He did not hesitate to assist us in understanding what each document was and the packages we could purchase to protect our new investment. Overall we had a wonderful experience (the best experience in over 10 car purchases) We will definetly be returning to this dealership for our next purchase. Thank you Steve, Bianca, and Zain!

8/1/14 Updates - Hamer Toyota's Internet Director Kris A. responded to my previous review the very next day. He was very patient and attentive and listened to my recount of what had happened. He explained to me different factors that caused the final pricing difference. He was able to come up with a satisfactory pricing for both sides. And I bought my first Prius from Hamer Toyota. I would've given this Dealership a 5-star rating if the hiccup didn't happen. Thank you Kris and Jerry for your great service. 7/30/14 - I did a TrueCar price quote and confirmed the Final Purchase Price (the price you would enter as Purchase Price in the Vehicle Registration Fee Calculator on DMVs website) over the phone with their Internet Mgr. before coming into the Dealership. When I arrived at the Dealership, I was told that my deal has been arranged and the price is fixed. Another Sales Mgr. helped me with picking out the car. When I was presented with the final bill, the price went up by about $400 and the explanation is TrueCar price quote does not include cost for floor-mat. I asked if I could get a car that does not have floor-mat and the answer is all their cars come with floor-mat. I called off the deal and asked to have all the paperwork back. Two Sale Mgrs. went into the Finance dept. and started talking to the Finance people. After a while, one came back to me and said they will honor the TrueCar price and we shook on it. He apologized on the misunderstanding and told me to wait that Finance Dept. will be processing my sale soon. I waited and during the time the other Sales Mgr. came back forth and seemed frustrated on how to calculate the final purchase price. Finally, he came back with a new number that is even higher than the first one he presented me with. I asked to see the other Sales Mgr. and was told he left already. I tried to talk to the person in the Finance Dept. and he told me the increase in price is because I picked a car that has floor-mat. I replied to him that all their cars come with floor-mat; I couldn't possibly pick one without it. To which he replied with a blank stare. I took my paperwork and walked out very upset.

If you want an honest and knowledgeable car sales person, you need to see Steve. I've bought a total of three Toyota's from him and he has made each sale a pleasurable experience.This weekend on a spur of the moment we needed a car for our son. I was doing my price research and he smoked the competition to the point where two other dealerships told me that they couldn't match his monthly payment on my 36 month lease so I went with him. After totaling my Prius of 7 years I knew I wanted to get back into a Prius but didn't realize how much the car had changed in that time! Steve took me on a test drive and showed me all the new features and was super helpful in making sure I got the exact car I wanted ASAP! All I had to do was come down and sign papers! I was in and out with no hassle! I had a great deal and more importantly great service by not just Steve but Carlos in finance and Bianca! You must see Carlos if you finance!! After the stress of moving across the country with no job or car, the search for a great car deal became a huge ordeal until I stumbled across Hamer Toyota and worked with Julio Navarro. Excellent service and efficiency. I saw a price quote online, called them up that morning and said I wanted to buy this car by the afternoon if they would honor the price I saw. They emailed me the quote guarantee asap so I headed over to the dealership and was welcomed by the most efficient and hospitable customer service. Steve and Tony were great. They really care about the brand and they provide excellent service. Steve drove the Prius to our house so that Lori could see the car before we purchase it. We got a great deal on the Prius. The only reason I selected good was that when we met with the Finance Manager on the day of purchase, we felt blindsided by the cost of the buy up of the extended warranty. I had asked Steve about the cost of the warranty as I had an allowance in my pricing sheet but I was told "He didn't handle that part of it". We spent well over an hour negotiating in the back room with the "bad cop" over what type of warranty I should get. Hamer needs take a look at their business model and be more transparent about these warranties and it should be up front and discussed with all the other pricing and not held back until you are ready to close the deal. I don't blame Steve or Tony, I'm sure the Senior Management has a way they want sales completed. As I told Steve he and Tony did an excellent job and that the have and excellent product that I know I will enjoy.

I was in the market for a Prius plug-in lease. I went to another dealership (in Torrance, CA) originally to lease the car, but the person lied to me and tried to trick me. After being extremely frustrated, I did a quick google search and called Hamer. I spoke with Steve on the phone, gave him the numbers I wanted, told him my credit score, and he assured me he can give me that price with no tricks or lies. Truth be told, I was very cautious as it seemed too good to be true that a car salesperson would be honest. I researched Toyota Prius 2014 in Trim Four and decided on the price I was willing to pay. To avoid haggling, I sent an email to the Internet Department with my price for the car. Steve Denson emailed me back right away and accepted my offer without going back and forth on the price or haggling. When I arrived to the dealership, Steve Denson was polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. He was not pushy or intimidating with his specialized knowledge but he answered all my questions patiently in a way I could understand. He was not trying to persuade me to purchase the car which many dealers do and it is very annoying. He just provided information and gave me the space to make my own decisions. While I was there, I received a call from another dealership who promised a better price. Steve did not make me feel bad for wasting his time but said that no dealership would be able to offer me a better deal than his. And he was right. The other dealerships just lead me on with false numbers that they ended up not honoring. So, I returned to Steve to finally buy the car. He continued with the same level of professionalism. My wife & I are first time lease buyer. We came here because it was Presidents Day and we taught that we could have a bunch of deals & promo. We are targeting to get a Highlander or Rav4 but because they have more to offer for the new Camry we decide to go Camry. At first the we choose and did a test drive of the Camry we want to get, but then when we're doing the dealing regarding the monthly price we can't agree for the price coz the one we like has some features that they can't match the price we asking. So we remove some of the features so that we can lower the monthly rate. So they look for a car at the inventory for the car we gonna get based on the features that we only want. So they said they found the car that has the features we want with the same color of the car we want but my wife and I didn't check the car anymore we're getting so we had no idea about the MSRP on the sticker of the car. So the salesperson start telling us the monthly payment without showing us the car and the breakdown how the come up with the monthly total. So far everything wasn't smooth dealing. Until after telling a lot of sales talk. We ended of taking the monthly payment. So I was brought to the financial supervisor to sign the paper including this hidden fees that it wasn't discuss during the sales talk appeared in the contract. My wife could not sign the contract coz she left during the sales process coz of her schedule to work so the salesperson brought the contract and drive to my wife work to sign the contract . But before that after I initially sign the contract I went to the inventory to check the car that I didn't see when they get it they we're washing it and I took a photo of the MSRP sticker price and I found out that it was a different price in the contract they put on. It was more higher price on the contract. But anyway to make the story short, please be aware of the price in the car sticker against the contract price. They will always be focusing your monthly payment. They don't even mention the promotional deals they're having.

I contacted Jerry Riboli over internet chat for an pre-owned inventory. He was not much cooperative and after several follow-ups only i could able to get the quotes on the vehicle.Moreover, after 2 days i was contacted by Mr. Raymond from Jerry's team over call, and I was told that there would be a great discount being offered on the 2 vehicles i showed interest on (Since this is a weekend before the year end closing). I traveled from woodland hills to Mission hills on the prefixed timing, to finalize the deal where Raymond introduced me with another sales agent, and SURPRISE!!! - one of the car i showed interest on was already sold and the sales guy couldn't locate the other one in the parking lot.Finally the sales agent came down to the desk and told that he might need more time to find the car. When i asked about the pricing part i was told that there are no discounts being offered (not even a penny). When I shared that i already spoke to internet guy and I was provided an confirmation on the price I blunt and very ARROGANT reply came that Raymond is not a decision maker on the pricing and the sales guy is the decision maker. The job of Raymond (internet sales guys) is just to bring the customers into the dealership and they use there own tactics.With no time I returned back to home with a question in mind - that how come such a big dealership is maintained with this kind of customer service.

It's no wonder he's been successful in this industry for so long, with 22 years in the auto sales industry with Hamer Toyota. (Don't just take my word for it, please see his other reviews as additional evidence.) For example, having spoken with him earlier in the week to set up an appointment, he had the 4Runner staged and ready to go for our test drive before we had even arrived. A simple act perhaps, but it's the little things that can really make the car buying experience a positive one, and keep customers coming back again and again. The test drive solidified, in our minds, that we had to have the car! Steve (and Sales Manager Joe Alvarez) worked with us, even though the specific vehicle was one of very few in Southern California AND it was in high demand, and we made a deal at a substantial price below MSRP. Steve set us up with Zain Haroon in the Finance Department, and our positive experience continued. Zain was also very customer service oriented, making every attempt to get us the best deal, at the best price - no gimmicks, no hassle. We decided to purchase the extended warranty and use Toyota for our loan (after trading in my wife's car and making a down payment) because Zain worked to ALMOST HALVE our initial rate that we were quoted. The money we saved on our rate helped to save additional money on the warranty. Additionally, after spending a few days looking at other rates, no bank came close to the rate Zain & Joe got for us. What we were most impressed with, aside from the vehicle we purchased, was how Hamer treated us like family throughout our experience. If you are looking for a deal on a car and a straightforward, friendly buying experience, I highly recommend you meet with Steve/Zain/Joe. I know I will be back when buying my next car, and with family and friends looking to buy vehicles in the near future, I will strongly encourage them to consider a Toyota and meet with Steve. We came home grossly disappointed after visiting (for 4 & 3 hours) two dealerships and almost gave up. We can only search for cars in the weekends. So, my wife looked on the internet again and found a different Toyota dealership that still had 3 or 4 white 2013 Toyota Camry LE's in stock. We also needed to hurry up before they are sold out as we were told by the other two dealers. Both of them said, the cars we wanted were sold by the time we got there (10 & 20 minutes) and laughed. When we called the third dealership, the salesman Young Ji told us that Joe (Sales Manager) told him about the car we want and assured us that he had the car ready for us to test drive. Twenty five minutes later, we arrived at the dealership. We test drove in less than five minutes after we arrived. Compared to other the two places, who took at least one hour to even find a similar car but wrong color, wrong package etc. Then Young Ji (a retired army MSrgnt.) took us to his office and let us see every detail of their offer on the computer screen. Both of the other two dealerships were writing on pieces of paper and we couldn't see or understand everything clearly as they were holding the pieces of papers and avoided to give them to us. Young Ji let us see everything and the offer was cheaper than the others for the same car but it was the right color, right package, right financing (0%), even right trade-in offer (for our beautiful BMW), plus $1,000 incentive from the manufacturer with no deceptive talks. Young Ji asked us if we'd like some time to think it over and left us there for a few minutes. It didn't take long for us to make a decision. Then we were moved to another office with Shawn Etminani(Financing). He offered us few extra options we could have with additional costs but he never imposed them on us. Within an hour, we drove home in our new car. This dealer waisted no time and being up-front and honest with us. He didn't shove coffee and popcorn into our faces along with lies and deception. Before venturing out to buy a new car, we had assumed that in this economy, people would be treating their customers with respect and dignity. But we quickly encountered many foxes disguised in sheep's coats. My father once said, monkeys never give up climbing trees just because they are old. We truly believe, there are good people there doing good things and bad people there doing bad things regardless of race, religion or the place they come from. As we drove to Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, I said to Karen, this is our third dealership, let us not be influenced by the negative experiences (including running after our car in the parking lot) we had this morning. We will go there with open mind, we will not be judgmental. But if we find them just as bad we will just walk out again. At Hamer we encountered staff from three different countries with three different races and three different religions in this business transaction. They all had one thing in common, they are all good people. We respect them and we highly recommend them. We will come back.Without trying to become a walking advertisement for Hamer Toyota, I want to share with you, that our new car drives like a dream, it is silent & smooth. We'll miss our BMW but it is time to move on Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, happens to be the oldest Toyota dealership in California. There is a beautiful picture of Mr. Hamer in every office there, when he first opened the dealership, seventy years ago. We are not surprised at all. With this kind of integrity they will last forever. We are very proud of Hamer Toyota and telling everyone about them and share them on the FaceBook. I live in Texas and was trying locate a 2013 tacoma x-runner. I spoke with Josh on the telephone and he said that they had one so I told him I wanted the truck but the soonest I would be able to get to California would be 2 weeks. He said that was not a problem he would put a hold on the truck until I could get to their dealership. The x-runner is being dropped from the tacoma line in 2014 so these trucks have become very hot items. I was not asked to put up a deposit to hold the truck my word was good enough. In these times it is nice to find a person and a dealership where your word is still good.

Albert was by far the best salesperson I have ever met. Buying a car is not a one two step and there is a lot of decision making involved. And no matter how long I took to decide if I wanted that car or this car or possibly the one next to it, Albert did not flinch or look at us crazy. I have bought 15 cars in my life and never was it so smooth, fast, friendly and easy. I shopped around all over LA to find a Prius Plug in so I could use the HOV lane and their price was $1000 less than everyone within 50 miles of LAX. Very friendly. They followed through and my calls. Other dealers said there is no way they could sell me the car at the price they quoted on the net and that there would be hidden costs. There were none. We took our Prius in to have it checked for possible recalls, and for the 25,000 miles checkup. We discovered we could convert our lease early, 5 months, so we took advantage of the money savings and purchased the Prius. We initially leased the car from Hamer and the car has served us exceedingly well, as has Hamer Toyota. Toyotas are not for everyone, but if it happens to be your taste in cars, this is the place to shop.

All I did was show up and Toyota made it easy for me to drive away in a NEW Prius. I had already been to Toyota of Alhambra and Glendale and left feeling like I needed a massage. Everyone was really cool and my best experience yet buying a new car. On a personal note, I liked the way Mr Young spoke about life, family and work surrounding the car that I was purchasing to make sure it would work for me instead of the hard sell. I went to Nissan a couple of days before coming to Hamer Toyota. Nissan had made a couple promises they couldn't keep and I had almost given up on the chance to try to finance my own new car, but Hamer changed all of that for me! They really worked with me and the customer service was great; I never felt pressured or judged for asking questions (even though I had to ask the same question multiple times to make sure I understood - they were super patient). I was very pleased with the excellent customer service displayed by Abraham Navarro and Rafael Morales. From the moment my husband and I walked into the dealership, we were welcomed by Abraham. We had actually arrived to the dealership between 8:30 pm and 9:00 p.m., pretty late for a sale. That didn't discourage Abraham Navarro from providing us with excellent service. He requested assistance from Rafael Morales who was patient and kind enough to show us a few vehicles that we were interested in and took us on a test drive that same night. Although a Toyota Tacome Pre-runner in the color - for both the interior and exterior that we were interested in was not in stock at the dealership, both Abraham and Rafael took a notation on our interest and promised to call us back when the vehicle was available. Abraham and Rafael followed through with our request and made it easy for us to come back to the dealership a few days later. They were thorough and called us promptly once the vehicle we were interested in was on the premises. When we arrived at the location at the prearranged time, we were greeted by Mr. Morales who provided excellent customer service from start to finish, which also included a courtesy call a day after we purchased the vehicle to make sure that we were fully satisfied with our purchase. I've gone to other dealerships and felt that I was just another number for them. However, based on my experience with both staff members that assisted us with our purchase, including Eddie in financing, I would definitely go back to Hamer Toyota for any future car purchase. After 9 Honda purchases/leases in a row, I made a huge change and leased a Prius from Hamer Toyota a couple of months ago after a guy that I work with suggested that I give Toyota a try. Everybody at this place was wonderful, from the manager, David O'Brien down to each person I met at every step of the way. I waited a little while to write my review to find out if I really would average 50 MPG in my new Prius 2, and I most certainly did, sometimes, even closer to 60 if I watch how I drive. I chose to give this rating because the service from Victor was overall great!! I will be going back in the future to purchase my daughter's car and I hope that Victor is still working ther and if not I believe that I still receive great service.

Mr. Reno Reyes very patiently worked the numbers out for me. He made my over-all experience with Hamer Toyota very pleasant. This is my third purchase from him and Hamer Toyota, and I've recommended him to friends and family members as well. I will always buy my Toyotas from him.

I Call on Thurday 11, at 9:27 Am to set an appoitment for my Sister Janeth Monterroso to bring her 2004 Toyota Corolla for Oil Change, I know Hamer Toyota from previus experiences I had with Peter or Carlos Vasquez, I spoke with young lady who i request to make an appoitment for the following day at 9 am i explain i like to book it with Carlos Vasquez or Peter, My disapoinment and bad taste come today when my sister call me from the dealer that she is been waiting for a long time, they told her she does not have an appoitment, and to make it worse Mr Sam Quintanilla got to help her, what make me more upset is Mr. Quintanilla, He try to charge my sister more then $300 for something we did not request, plus after trying more them a few time for $ 200 dollars and them try to charge my sister $92 for an oil changer we never request. my sister spend like an hours there and LEFT TO NEVER COME BACK this is the most crazy dealership on earth, I would never recomend or buy anything from this dealership.

We went to three dealership before finally coming to Hamer Toyota after i talked to Marylou Santigo. It was her Day off but she really came to the dealership so she could help my family after i told her that our lease agreement for our Prius is about to end next month, April 9 to be precise. When we met her she was very warm and welcoming. She gave me information that i needed to make a decision whether we will return the Prius and pay penalty or buy it. She helped us understand the options and gave me all informations we asked . She never pushes us, just just gave good advice.based on her experience as a salesperson. We returned the Prius and pay (actually added the penalty amount to the price of the new car) the mileage overages. She showed us the models we wanted and even had a test drive. ANsweed all questions we needed to know about every model we became interested for comparison. She never get tired even if we changed preferences several times. She was very patient, and gave us everything that we asked during negotaition for the price. Explained to us how and why she comes out with the numbers which we really appreciate.. At first , we did not agree on the numbers but she really worked hard for us making adjustments to come out with the right numbers that we are comfortable to make the final decision.We leased a 2013 hybrid highlander SUV limited edition, andwe are happy with the experience, even if it took more than 4 hours, it was worth the time because we got a good deal thanks to Marylou Santiago, she's a super excellent superagent, and I am sure more cutomers will agree with me. Overall the experience at the dealership was excellent, everyone is so helpful and friendly, the place is warm and so welcoming. Definitely, 100% i will recommend your Dealership. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Sam is the Man! He goes the extra mile and is trustworthy. Once he stayed overtime to take care of us. He calls back, is straight forward, and will take care of his customers. I can't thank him enough for the years of excellent service. Just Awesome! He's definitely the guy I trust my Toyota Sienna with!

I brought my truck in for the third time to have it fixed. My truck keeps throwing out lean codes. The last 2 times I broughtit in all they did was nit pick my truck, you have a motified muffler, after market air filter, etc. And keep returning it back yo me and my truck still doesn't run right. Carlos, trying to get him to call you back is like pulling teeth, frank on the other hand does try to help. I've never had a problem with hamer Toyota before, but my opinion is some of the techs have no idea what to do or what they are doing.

I have just purchased a used 2010 Prius from Hamer Toyota. I noticed that there was something loose underneath the front bumper. I brought it in to have service take a look at it and I have to say I am very happy with the customer service I received from Carlos Vasquez. He was very pleasant and trustworthy which are qualities that are important to me when it comes to dealing with any of my cars. Not only did he not charge me an arm and a leg but they finished the job in a timely manner... way better than expected. Carlos presented himself as a very professional Service Manager that greeted you with a smile from the time I brought the car in to the time I drove it away. 5 Star for Carlos and the service team and the whole Hamer Toyota organization! Now I have a place where I look forward to bring my car in knowing they're not just after the money, they are there for the service and stand behind the name Toyota! I'm glad I found this place because now I don't have to dread taking my car in for service! Thanks Carlos!!!

When I enter the Dealership-Nick always makes me feel like he is happy to see me and is always willing to help me out. I always feel like I am family. Today 2/27/13, I brought my 2005 Solara in for it's regular 5000 mile check up. It was noted that I was in need of new belts-Nick and his team took care of my car and it now runs like a dream. I was in and out in no time. I also like the added feature of the Car Wash...I would like to suggest that you add a vending machine of snacks in the waiting room . Sam and the entire crew from the GM down stepped up and solved an extended warranty issue that i thought i would be left to me alone to fight.They also took the time and found a few other issues that needed attention and gave my vehicle a thorough service.I am once again completely satisfied that Hamer wants to make sure everything is handled at a very high level and customer satisfaction is at the top of the list.Dave C.

I visited hamers service department about 3 months after buying my fj there George boktor was the adviser that helped me he was very friendly and patent he took the time to hear me our and together we put together a servic plan to keep my car on the road and saff for my family and I. I cant say enough about george and hamer I would deffinetly recomend them to all my family and friends!!

Monday morning on my way to work I get the "Icons of Death" red lights, yellow light, green one to... crap please get me to my office where my can die in private. I call the dealership,,, did I mention how much I hate car dealerships? Can't stand sales people, but car salesmen are the worst, they are like ... well used car salesmen, can't trust them, they will sell their mothers for a nickle. Now I have to sneak into the dealership, avoid the voltchers standing out front who want to sell me a new car when all I want to do... no scratch that what I HAVE to do is get to the service bay, so I can get screwed over told I need work I can verify, and be over charged and mostly over promised. What a great way to start the week... so I pull I, great no sales people, just a very nice young man waving me in... I tell him I have an appointment for 7 am tomorrow morning, he introduces me to Nick,, please please please do be a friggin sales/service guy... nope not Nike, just a nice guy who wants to get my information and get my car fixted, we chat we look over my car, I get a rental (nice right here, not down the street) then the big line (from Nick,) I'll call you tomorrow! Yeah right like I have never heard that before) crap, he could care less about me and my poor car..I'll set an alarm on my phone to remind to call him, after I don't want to get too busy at work, forget to call, then have to pay a second day for the rental.The next mornimg Nick calls,, oh gosh this must be bad if he is calling me... what the batteries? No this is a prius, they cost a fortune, I mean everyone I know who does not have a prius told me when I bought my can,,, beware the batteries cost over $3000.00... with my head on my desk I hear Nick say something about a warranty 10 years. 150k miles... This is covered? wait, don't I have to PROVE to you it under warranty, don't we have to fight over this? you make me pay up front the screw me out of my money? no say Nick, and your rental is covered to..My experience was fantastic, above and beyond... you have a customer for life....

We rented a Prius v through Tracy/Mark, as we are contemplating a purchase, this was a great way to try it and see how we like it.Our experience dealing with them were great. Very services oriented and wanted to be certain we were well taken care of. from start to finnish it was a very positive experience.We just need to have Toyota make a Sequoia Hybrid.My wife has our Toyota Sequoia serviced at another dealership, after our experience with Tracy and Mark she commented that she is going to take her SUV over to here.You have gained a new customer for service.Sincerely

All these years my family has owned toyotas we have bought them here and brought them here for service. I remember a few times in the past we were givien rentals from enterprise. Just recently I brought in my prius for a recall and was given another rental. I was so impressed that I no longer need the service from enterrpise because HAMER now has their own rental department. Tracy informed me that she had a few models to choose from. She let me pick a camry to drive. I am excited because I will be looking for a new car in july just in time to give my daughter the prius for college! She also informed me to check back with her soon becasue she might have a new model avalon coming soon. Can't wait, hmmm camry or avalon??????

I showed up a little past 5 pm, and told him my sun shade had broken and wanted to get an estimate , and to my surprise after the insiection , he told me it was going to be covered by Toyota even though I had too miles, I was relief. For over 20 years, Peter Fernandez has taken care of my two Toyotas. Even when I moved 20 miles away, I kept going back to Hamer Toyota because of Peter. He is a super guy, very knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.The prices can be rather steep, but that's not Peter's doing.

Excellent service at a very fair and reasonable price. Highly recommended. I was so bummed out when I took my car in for a diagnostic at the local mechanic shop which I have been going to for years. They told me my car was having transmission issues. I decided to shop around and get a few more quotes since I was kind of tired of using the same old mechanic shop. They would keep my car for days! Which is not ideal since I drive all the time and need my vehicle. Hammer Toyota was my last stop, usually I wouldn't trust going to a dealership for service work, I have always been scared of their pricing. I ended up working with George Boktor, who quoted me a fair price. He made me decide to leave my car in their hands, but its the great customer service and excellent quality of work that persuaded me to recommend these guys to others. To make a long story short, they had to take my transmission apart and rebuild it with a couple of new parts. Pretty big job, but my car was ready on the day and time promised which was what was so important to me... I was so pleased with George's attentiveness and ability to ease my mind when I was unsure of trusting the dealership. They sure turned my transmission headache into a pleasant experience. Thanks Hamer Toyota for the great job! I will probably be coming in next year for a upgrade! :)
