Service - Tried charging me for a service for a feature I do not have. Said it would be dangerous unless I paid $500. VERY threatening sounding. Argued with me on the phone and laughed when I assured them I didn’t have adaptive cruise control. Upon going to dealership had them try and show me the adaptive cruise control and their master technician agreed i didn’t have it and said it’s how they make money. Huge scam. Hope they haven’t gotten others

Last night I had the great pleasure of picking up my new Jetta. My salesman, Rick and the manager of business, Jim Ferry, made the transaction seamless. The dealership was calming and there were no high pressure sales tactics. Jim had all of the paperwork at the ready and was a pleasure to deal with.Rick had my new car parked in front of the dealership and it was immaculate. I have never left this place unhappy after my car being serviced. The service manager Mike is a trust worthy guy that truly cares about vw customers. If you ever have any concerns with your car he is always an open ear and looks at things from your perspective. He always communicates with you and keeps you in the loop so there’s no surprises with your car. They also have highly skilled technicians that take pride in their work so you never have to worry about shortcuts being taken. I am super particular with where I take my car and never worry when the car is in their hands. I would highly recommend taking your car to get serviced here.

I dropped off my car on august 9th because my alternator was broken. They said they would have the car done by the 11th and I’ve called multiple times to pick up my car and they said they haven’t even touch it yet. They said it wouldn’t be ready until august 24th. On the phone they were also extremely rude and disrespectful.

Peter Capriotti worked with me on purchasing a used Fiat 500 Abarth. I was highly impressed with his professional, easy going manner. He answered all of my questions about the car's history and was even able to lower my finance rate to a really great number. A car guy, thorough and through, he displayed great knowledge of my own trade in, a New Beetle TDI and showed great enthusiasm for the new VW's on the showroom floor. Really a top tier asset to Hamilton Volkswagen, it was a complete pleasure to have done business with Mr Capriotti. I stopped by Hamilton VW to look over a used Fiat 500 Abarth that had a very favorable sales price. I met and negotiated a great deal with salesman Mr Peter Capriotti; including a lower finance rate. Mr Capriotti was absolutely low pressure in dealing with me, allowing me full use of the 500 Abarth for as long as I saw fit. The car itself was in terrific condition and the price was too good to pass up. Mr Capriotti went out of his way to negotiate a real bottom line interest rate for me, saving hundreds of dollars for me in the process. Simply outstanding, never had I a more relaxed car buying experience. Good people here at Hamilton VW. I cannot recommend them high enough!

This is only the second time I have got a new car. But after the experience at Hamilton Volkswagen, it may be an experience I repeat often.I went in on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m, and met with Pete Capriotti. It was literally the easiest thing I have done all year. He was no-nonsense, got right to the best deal, and within about 15 minutes I knew that my Passat was my new car.Pete made it so easy, and he was very friendly as well. I have told everyone how easy and great it was. Plus, I got a fantastic deal.

Absolutely great car buying experience. The whole process of price quote, trade appraisal, and credit approval accomplished via email and online chat feature on their website. It was a very low pressure situation, especially since the first price quoted was great. My first visit to Hamilton VW (which was a fantastic looking showroom) was to pick up my new Jetta. Melody Green did a great job on the lease paperwork and pre-paid maintenance package. Danielle delivered on everything she promised and explained everything to my satisfaction about the car that I needed to know. Excellent job!

We recently picked up our 7th VW and the 5th from Hamilton VW. While I can't promise them they'll win the deal, I do promise them the opportunity to win the deal on any VW we buy. Whenever we're ready to buy, I contact a few dealers and ask them all to submit a BAFO (Best And Final Offer) based on the specs I've provided (this eliminates me from having to haggle). Our most recent experience was in May when our daughter got a 2016 Jett Sport from Pete Capriotti. Pete's offer was SIGNIFICANTLY better than all the other offers. And since purchase is just the beginning, the HVW Service Dept has always been great.

My experience with Hamilton VW and salesperson Pete Capriotti was excellent in finding and purchasing a manual transmission Golf SportWagen. First they obtained a manual model for me (and daughter Jennifer) to test, then they found one in the color we wanted and gave me a good purchase deal which took less than 1 hour to complete! Pete also explained the vehicle and features for me to help learn the new vehicle and made the first service appointment. I'm very pleased with both the vehicle and the purchase experience.

On 2/16/2016 at 1030 I show up to my appointment with Ronald Demaskey to look at a 2007 VW Jetta for my son. Ron stated the car was dirty and had not been seen by the dealer mechanics yet. I proceeded to test drive the car anyway. Upon completion of the test drive Ron informed me that he could not get the vehicle into the garage for at lease another hour before we would know if the car had any issues. I informed him to call me. I called Ron around 1pm and he stated there were several issues wrong with the car. While on the phone we agreed the dealer would fix certain items and I would handle others and then AGREED to a price of $7,500. THIS IS A VERBAL CONTRACT. I told Ron I was on my way to work and wanted to put a deposit down on the car. Ron told me they could not take a deposit on a pre-owned car. He went on to say that his manager was off until the next day, so If I put in a credit application, it would show I wanted the car and they would hold it. I did this immediately. I called Ron the next day after and he says someone sold the car last night. After we agreed that I would purchase the car. He tried to make up excuses, but he knows that I did everything he asked and he LIED. I asked for a manager and of course, he was not in and would call me shortly. As you all probable figure, that never happened. Ron stated someone purchased the car for their original asking price and with the garage doing no work. After making a deal with me, they got a better offer and sold the car to someone else. This car was my kids first car. I will now do everything possible to let people know how this dealership operates. Including lodging complaints with the BBB and NJ Attorney Generals Office, Consumer Affairs Bureau.

Salesperson Pete Capriotti was very helpful with the lease of my 5th Volkswagen. I had an existing lease on a 2012 Passat which was 5 months from expiring and Pete was able to get me in a 2015 Jetta within my budget. He was very knowledgeable about the current Jetta model (I have had three others in the past) and was able to direct me to the best option for my circumstances. The $2,000 incentive from Volkswagen and $500 from the dealership was the deciding factor in making the change from the Passat at this time.All in all, a very good experience.

His professionalism was second to none, and he also has a personality where I felt like I knew him for 20 years once the deal was done. Pete went above and beyond back then, and that's why I went back to VW for a new car for the second time. You can't fake Petes knowledge and true dedication. The vehicle was hard to find and he was right on it to let me know it was there. The buying\negotiating experience was hassle free and no pressure approach. First of all we were welcomed to the showroom by a nice and professional lady. First impression is something important that you cannot do-over! We visited other places where we were ignored and after 20 minutes we just left (too bad we cannot name names!)Such a great experience here! Peter answered to all the questions we had about the car we were going to get for our son. He was nice, friendly and not pushy at all. He was patient and also funny! We are not fans of visiting dealers but we have to say that he made everything easy and painless. He took care of all the paperwork in a jiffy. Definitely a wonderful experience! I was a little put off by the Mazda dealership across the street; but when I came into the VW dealership that minor unpleasant experience was completely forgotten. I was immediately greeted by the secretary who sought someone to assist me right away. Pete worked with me and he was great. Terry and Marcus were wonderful to deal with as well. I had a great car buying experience here.

I drove all the way from downtown Jersey City to look at a car and it was well worth the trip. Awesome buying experience, two thumbs up to Mr. Peter Capriotti. No pressure unlike other places where they "hound" you everywhere you go. Very courteous and well-informed! I was in and out within 30 minutes! Will I recommend this dealership, YES! I saw a certified pre-owned Mazda CX-5 online, came in for a test drive and wound up driving that car home that night. Not only did I love the model, the sales experience with Danielle was phenomenal. She was friendly, extremely helpful and patient; We were there more than an hour and a half past the time of the dealership closing but she never rushed the process along or made us feel like we were taking too much time. The test drive was long and it helped to get a good sense of the SUV (other dealerships barely let me test drive a model, the test drive at Hamilton VW Mazda was the ideal length). She was able to answer any and all questions we had and was very fair and helpful when negotiating the price and determining which pay plan, extras, etc. to go with.As a 25 year old female, it was very relaxing and pleasant not being pressured, rushed or having a sense of being "played" by a salesman. Danielle made my first time shopping experience an enjoyable one.Overall, I had a wonderful shopping experience at Hamilton VW Mazda and would come back to this dealership and to Danielle in the future.

I have been purchasing and servicing my VW's through these guys for all 10 years of my driving history and I couldn't be happier. Rick is quite possibly the most patient person I have ever met. Having worked in sales for several years now in NYC, I certainly did not make it easy for him whatsoever. Despite my hard approach these guys stuck with me and left with a gorgeous 2015 GTI with an upgraded subwoofer/power amp courtesy of the skilled service team. During the process I visited four other dealerships and these guys (along with Langhorne) are the only people I would ever purchase/lease a vehicle from.

I just bought my first Volkswagen yesterday from Pete Capriotti. A few weeks back I had gone to Hamilton VW because I saw online they had a Jetta GLI in a stick and it was one of the (many) cars I wanted to check out. Spoke briefly with Pete, who let me take the car for a spin, no pressure whatsoever upon my return. Weeks later, I enter the dealership again, having seen that they have the exact trim level I was looking for on the lot, and inside of an hour later, the car was mine at a reasonable price, and moreso, my trade in was a fair price.I was well-researched so I had a very good idea in my head of what I believed fair prices to be on both the GLI and my trade in, and there were no games played (no "hold on, let me run this by my manager"), just a fair deal in a very relaxed environment.Jonathan was also very pleasant and efficient in processing all of the paperwork, which I appreciated very much.I would (and will) wholeheartedly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a VW - and as a side note, would also recommend the Mazda dealership across the street, owned by the same folks, for those looking at Mazda. I test drove a 3 and a 6 as well and found the experience to be very pleasant. I just liked the GLI better.

Peter Capriotti is the best! He was extremely attentive via email and as soon as my husband and I arrived he gave us the keys to take the car I was interested for a test drive. Our negotiation process took 15 minutes if that. I had done a lot of research beforehand about dealerships and once I read the reviews for Hamilton, I was sold. We live about an hour away, but the trip was more than worth it. I will be a repeat customer and would highly recommended Hamilton to anyone!!!

One of the worst parts of buying a car, is the endless hours you spend in a dealership - NOT here!!! I came in around 3pm, told my sales rep Pete what I wanted, he immediately pulled a key for me to take the car myself to test drive. I loved the car, came back and only took about 20 minutes of questions and negotiations and I was DONE. They were accomodating to have me come back the next day to sign all the paperwork so I didn't have to wait while they prepared it. Easiest car buying experience I've had.Please see Pete - he rocks!

First of all, I would describe myself as extremely picky, straightforward and time driven. I hate the thought of buying a car and dread going into a dealership and deal with the typical "BS" car salesmen deceit. Look no further than Hamilton VW! I leased a 2015 GTI and am extremely pleased with the vehicle. Even more so I can't say enough positive things about Pete Capriotti. We came to contract terms over several emails and phone conversations. Although I am sure Pete had other customers he was always very prompt in responding to my emails and phone calls. The next day when I arrived at the dealership, not only was the car ready, but after Pete gave me the entire rundown of the car's features, Danielle Dunn (Finance manager) was waiting for me to complete all the necessary paperwork. The whole process took 30 minutes and not a minute more. I highly recommend Hamilton VW and will never look for another dealership again for my car buying/leasing needs!!!!

I brought my Routan in with 38,000 miles on it - 2k miles above the warranty limit. As it turned out, the air conditioner needed almost a thousand dollars of work. I was very angry that the car would need such a large amount of work done after so few miles. I expressed how upset I was to Tom in service and he replied by calling VW and getting a good faith warranty extended to me that would cover the cost in its entirety. This is just typical of the service I've always gotten at this location. They always do all they can to make sure you're happy. No matter what it takes.

The car that I purchased was not in inventory and had to be located from a dealer out of state which complicated the process. Bill stayed on top of things and made sure things got done. Bill was great to work with, very helpful, and quick to return calls. Overall working Hamilton VW was a good experience.

Anthony Polanco is a very well informed salesman and asset to Hamilton VW. Anthony stayed late on the night I looked at the car, and the next day when I came back to complete the paperwork. Anthony is laid back, no hassel, no fast talk, straight forward guy who knows his job. Business manager, Nick Cievo was well orgainzed when handling the financial transaction. Nick assured me that the credit issues I thought I had would not be a big deal and they were not. Nick got me the financing I needed at a better rate than I expected. Nick also stayed late on a Friday eventing to complete the transaction. Great over all sales and customer service.

We considered Quality of Work to be a service issue and therefore rated N/A. We visited many dealerships to look at the Passat and comparable cars. Danielle Dunn was great to work with. She has great knowledge of the product and was a perfect match for us. She answered all of our questions and let us proceed through the buying process at our speed. Nick was very helpful guiding us through the financial considerations. Price is rated a 4, just because there's never a discount that's big enough. It's like the commercial on TV, you always want more. However, the 60 month / 0% VW financing is great. There is no better! Overall, a great experience...and the Passat is a great car to drive! I will visit Danielle and Hamilton VW when ready for our next car purchase.

I don't usually do this sort of thing but my wife and I just had an experience so unbelievably upsetting at Hamilton VW that I felt I should warn the community. I'd also like to say that I doubt that this experience is typical as I purchased a car at their sister Mazda dealership less than a year ago which was perfectly average. My wife and I went in looking for a particular model car (new), after a great deal of time searching and hemming and hawing, they claimed they did not have that car. They did offer to order one for us and showed us a price. We declined saying we would prefer to see the car first. The sales man said that they did have the same model with a sunroof, an $1100 option, if he got us a good deal would we consider it. After much negotiation we agreed to pay an additional $600 for a sunroof. He pulled up two cars with sunroofs and we picked a color. A black car with black sunroof. Then he said he was taking it to detailing. Then a very long paperwork section came. It was getting late and I had an errand, I had to leave. My wife remained and by the time the car returned from detailing it was dark and the dealership had been closed for hours. They gave her the keys and said she may leave. Halfway home she realized the car she was driving did not have a sunroof. We immediately called and were told that was the car we bought and could not expect to get a sunroof for that price. We were defrauded. This was intentional, I am giving the short version of the story, but with all the details it is difficult to reach any other conclusion. We returned the car this morning, to a rude manager who blamed us and basically offered nothing to rectify the situation. They eventually took the car back. We then had a lovely time at Princeton VW.

This is my second VW purchase. I have become a die hard diesel owner. I strongly recommend VW to anyone considering diesel or an alternative to gasoline. It is unfortunate that I had to go out-of-state to obtain a manual, but my experience was great. I placed an inquiry through Capital One and received an immediate email response from Rich. We scheduled a call for that same evening. At the time I was indecisive as to model of TDI but ultimately settled on a Passat after my lifestyle considerations and discussion with Rich that evening. We setup a sales appointment for that weekend. He was extremely attentive, he provided me with two follow-up/confirmation calls. Once I arrived, I was late due to weather and therefore traffic, he was with a client but saw to it that I was able to get into a manual TDI Passat for a test drive. He even hand drew a map so that I could have a full experience. The car did most of the selling for him at that point, we strictly spoke numbers and I was driving away in my brand-new Passat that night (completely unintentional). The necessary staff stayed after hours to assist with my purchase. I encountered a document transmission issue with my insurance company after my purchase and he was right on the ball, I will probably do some of my service there when possible my experience was so positive.

Don't make me come to your house and tear those 1 day sale quotes from your hands because at Hamilton Volkswagen Rich Nebel will make you feel like it's a Sale Day Everyday.Had been in contact with dealership since new car search started in Mid Dec. 2012. They politely followed up on numerous occasionsas we were not sure what car we wanted. Despite many visits and test drives at other locations who did not go after the sale we decided to give Hamilton a shot. We contacted them on 2/19/13 they gave us a great price that was better than any Fair, Value, True, Hassle-Free web site out there. We contacted Rich Nebel Saturday morning 2/23 and asked if the car was still available and how many miles it had. Being told it was new to the dealership we got into our car and drove the 60 miles in the rain. When we got there Rich took my License and tossed us the keys and said SeeYa later. Returning to the showroom to sign the deal we had a Wardrobe malfunction as we realized that we really wanted the car in another color and interior, Tungsten Silver/Black. Despite not having it in stock he quickly checked around other dealerships, Found it for Us, Gave Us an almost equal price as the car we came to Buy(although not Hamiltons car) and believe it or not a better price than the actual dealership offered it for(I checked and contacted). From the initial phone call to this dealership i spoke with Pete Capriotti and he was very informative and straightforward. He gave me as much detail of the car as possible over the phone and promptly scheduled an appointment for me to test drive the following day. We had to buy a new car becase the car that we had was old and needed too many repairs. My husband looked online at cars from this dealership and within 5 minutes we received a phone call and email from Pete Capriotti to introduce himself and to help us in anyway to look/buy a new car. We went into the dealership and Pete had several cars ready for us to test drive that he thought would good options for us. Which he was right! we bought one of the cars that he selected. Rich Nebel was by far the best car salesman I have ever come across. I intentionally went to the dealership to get the VW Jetta I already owned fixed. I was giving a lot of problems and Im in school so i desperately needed it fixed. Needless to say, when i took it to servicing, the car was going to cost me way too much for it to get fixed. Right away, Rich came to me to see if he was able to assist me. I went to his office, he sat down, crunched my budget, and worked out a way for me to get a brand new 2013 VW Jetta to actually fit my budget. Long Story short i walked out of there with my brand new car and a new "family member". Rich from me to you, you rock!!!!!!! and for as long as im driving i will bring any business I can to you!

My search for a new car brought me to Hamilton VW thanks to their online pricing and online price quote that was emailed to me. The price was very competitive, however, the dealership would only give me an online quote on one vehicle and then required I meet in person to get quotes on other vehicles. (The vehicle for which I received a quote was already sold when I arrived) The biggest drawback was that the sales representative was reluctant to give me a concrete price on the vehicles I was interested and waited to the very end to specify that incentives, such as 0.0% interest (which was advertised online), was not offered with the price they were finally quoting. I was told I could either have the financing deal or the lower price, which I would have appreciated knowing at the beginning.I would have been more likely to purchase from Hamilton VW had the sales team just given me the price quotes in advance so I could have made a straight forward honest comparison. In the end, I was told that I was negotiating too hard (only because another VW dealer in the area had offered a lower price on an identical car). Before I left, the sales manager offered to match, or even beat the other dealer's price by $100, but by that point I was happy to pay a small amount more and reward a dealership where I experienced friendly service and straightforward pricing from the very beginning.

Customer service was great, I never felt pushed, rushed, or unwanted. Being a younger buyer, making a (hard earned) cash purchase, sometimes dealers don't take you seriously, I did not feel that way here. Pete answered all my questions happily and didn't get offended or try to play any games if I showed concern for a particular issue. There is a trust factor that has to be built when making a large investment in a used car, even when you look it over from head to toe, and Pete definitely earned that with me. The dealership's pricing was very competitive and they weren't unrealistic from the start like others are. They didn't overvalue the car, and it was a clear choice in the end after shopping around all of new jersey, from Butler, to Egg Harbor, negotiating with dealers of all sizes who had no clue what their cars were actually worth. They were willing to go above and beyond to make sure there were no loose ends, helping me get in contact with an insurance agent of my choosing (even when the insurance companies website couldnt help), letting me give it one final test run to make sure we were absolutely sure, and even topping it off with gas and detailing it before we left. I also didn't have to play phone tag with the dealer or get transfered around in circles. the little things matter. it was pure, solid, classy service, from beginning to end. In my travels to purchase this car, I encountered every kind of dealer, and experienced all the pitfalls you could imagine, dealt with every kind of salesman. Most play some variation of "good cop, bad cop" where the original salesman shows you the car, is super polite, and yeses you to death, then another comes in when it's time to negotiate terms and pricing, who just happens to be an absolute brass pit bull. Pete never came off as aggressive to me, or fake, or manipulative. his genuineness and personableness sold me, and we dealt solely with him. no bad cop. In the end it was a grade A experience on all fronts and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Im giving EVERYTHING to do with Ron 5 stars. What a wonderful employee. However, we had to leave w/o a purchase. There is something fishy going on with prices. I came to see a 10 mazda3 that was $13,6 online. when i got there, there was really no budging on the price because the sticker said 16,999 (or possibly 15,999. i dont remember. either price is on the outrageous side) and the internet price is that reduced for a "quick sale". The site I found the car on has had it listed for almost 3 months w/ the following prices drops: Jun 29 $15815, Aug 24 $14151, & today $13689. makes it seem like theyre having trouble getting rid of the car and you can get a deal & you can start negotiating at 13,6. there are plenty of other 3's out there for 12000-13000. i even had printed alot of them (to no avail). If the car was in great condition at $13something that might be different but it seemed a bit trashed inside (cigarette damage, water/liquid marks, questionable window operation...) and just plain sad since the 3 is a beautiful car. We began discussing the 10 forte but could not come to an agreeable price. Bottom line is like anywhere else you should do your research before you walk in the door. no worse feeling than realizing you paid too much.

Robert was without question the most helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly car salesman I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I walked in to shop for a new car for college, knowing what I wanted, knowing what I thought I could have, and knowing what I wanted to pay. The level of service that we received from Nick Ciervo at Hamilton Volkswagen in New Jersey was far beyond our expectations, which were high. Nick was courteous, conscientious, and thoroughly accommodating. He did whatever was necessary to see that we went home with the exact vehicle we requested within the price we could handle. We came to the Volkswagen lot in Hamilton nj not certain of if we were going to buy or not. We were just poking around the lot and Nick approached us in a friendly way to inquire as to our intrests. We told him we weren't sure if we were buying yet and let him show us a few used Jettas. The Jetta was one of several cars we were looking at for a purchase and he didn't even try to get us to look at a golf or passat. We said Jetta and that is what we were shown. In the end I wound up coming to the lot about 5 times before I was ready to sit down and work out a deal. Despite an extreme test of his patience, he remained calm and positive throughout the process. Even when negotiation was heading to a bad place he kept working with us. In the end I wound up in a 2011 Jetta at a great price and a very affordable payment plan. I am happy with what is basically a brand new car and I haven't been able to stop driving it. I feel I was very well taken care of and got a great car at the right price. I would like to thank Nick and all the staff that helped me so much to put me in a vehicle that I am looking forward to driving for the next ten years. I also got a warranty second to none for the Jetta. With two years remaining on the factory warranty followed by two years certified pre-owned warranty to follow. Combine that with the free oil changes for life and I don't believe I could have done better for any used car at this fair of a price.

Nick was helpful and attentive, even though the dealership was busy today. Although the lease price was not what I was originally looking for, we got a good trade in value and Nick worked hard to tweak the price and see that we were happy. He made sure the little things we wanted were taken care of and he was very friendly and knowledgable about all the VWs. If he had not been so good, we would not have leased a new vehicle, because we were fine staying with the old Jetta. But we really love the new one now that we have it.

Rich was extremely helpful and always available to answer every little question I had. This was my first time buying a car so I definitely had a TON of questions for him. The process was seamless though and I was in and out of there with the ideal car that I wanted for a very reasonable price. You would think I'm lying. But I initially went into Hamilton Volkswagen because my fiance was dropping off her Mazda across the street for an oil change. Keep in mind, I had already seen, and TEST DRIVEN, the 2012 Acura TSX, the 2012 Honda Accord, the 2012 BMW 3 Series. I did not plan on buying a car on Saturday. I REPEAT- DID NOT- JUST WANTED TO WASTE SOME FRIGGIN TIME AND PLAY AROUND IN THE SHOWROOM. Anyway, I read a couple reviews how the VW Passat had made a comeback on to the market, bla bla bla...so the first thing I said to my salesman was "I want to see the Passat"...and he said "well here it is right here". As he toured me around the car, I started saying to myself, pretty nice car for 24K. Let's take a step back. Robert Bryant was my salesperson. African American, humble, has 3 kids in very prestigious universities, very nice guy, very easy to talk to. After I took my routine test drive same that I did at Acura, BMW, and Honda, I noticed something...I felt fantastic in this Passat. Robert let me test drive the Passat almost 3 miles too, which got me hooked because I got an excellent feel for the car. The stereo bass is loud, the seats are comfortable, the drive is an experience. Back in the sales office, Robert asked me very calmly and nicely, "what do i need to do to help you buy this car today" and I told him what I suppose I was looking for...I am now, some friggin how, the brand new owner of a 2012 VW Passat. It's now Tuesday, and this car has literally changed my life from the Acura RSX 2006 I used to own, which I traded in. Das Auto!!!Phil Kent

I'm definitely not an expert on buying cars, but i have bought 2 new cars, 2 used cars and 1 certified pre-owned so I've been exposed to a few different dealerships. That's why when I saw that Hamilton VW had a 4.8 star rating, I was skeptical. When I saw that Robert Bryant, as a dealer, had a 5 star rating, i was even more intrigued. So after researching my vehicle and getting all my ducks in a row, I called the dealership and asked for Robert directly. Right from the beginning, I could see why the ratings were so high. He's very calm and he immediately went out to the car to answer my questions about it. He was very upfront and honest about the negatives (some staining on the convertible top and small cracks in the bumper). I appreciated being mentally prepared for that. He answered all my questions and we did the rest of the deal by phone within about 30 min. Very easy and seamless. We negotiated and agreed on a good price. I sent over my license and insurance and voila!The dealership closes at 6pm on Fridays and we live in North Jersey so I told Robert we wouldn't be able to get there until possibly after 6 and he said "no problem, we'll be here until you get here, don't rush". When we arrived, the car was ready (2009 New Beetle Convertible in Harvest Moon!). We took it for a test drive, came back and started the paperwork. Since we were already late, I was eager to get everything done out of consideration for Robert's time but as I started the paperwork, he offered to let my husband test drive the car, which was very dignifying and honorable. I was really surprised by this. Two of the cars i've purchased were from a friend of mine and yet THIS was the best, most efficient, seamless and painless experience I've ever had buying a car. Robert Bryant is truly an asset to that dealership and gives dealers a good name (which is much needed). Mike, the finance guy was also great. Very positive, upbeat and had me done with the paperwork in about 15 min. I highly recommend this dealership and especially ROBERT BRYANT!

I went to www.truecar.com to check prices and was directed to 3 different dealerships, one of them being the Hamilton Dealership. Rich contacted me and we discussed what I was looking for (all options and color), which was difficult, as there were only 3 cars on the east coast. He had quoted me a price and promised that it would be honored regardless if the car had to be ordered. Rich quickly tracked down the car I wanted and negotiated the swap. I was driving my 2012 Eos in two days. The car is even better than I had hoped for, it is exactly what I wanted, I LOVE IT. Rich made the whole process very easy and smooth. I was impressed with how fast and efficient the overall transaction of purchasing the vehicle was.I knew what car I wanted and what color and once that decision was made it was easy.I also traded in a vehicle towards the purchase. Although I had hoped the car had more value I totally understand why and am happy to have been able to trade the van in.The employees I dealt with were personable and friendly and very efficient.I walked out of the place under 2 hours and 24 hours later have the car with registration and plates.I also am impressed with the service dept and because I had purchased another vehicle at this dealer 3 years ago I was familiar with most of the staff.Customers are treated with respect and friendliness always.I would recommend this dealership to a friend any time.

Pete provided me with outstanding service. I went into the dealership trying to customize a brand new Jetta that I had purchased from Burlington Volkswagon the day prior. Naturally, Pete was wondering why I had to put money into a brand new car that I had just purchased the day before. After explaining to him that Burlington was not allowing me to purchase the vehicle I wanted, he did what he could to make sure I left completely satisfied. Not only did I get the features that I wanted, I also got the color I wanted, more features than I asked for, a more expensive car for a lower interest rate and a lower car payment. I am overjoyed. The service was outstanding and the finance manager and everyone who helped close the deal were extremely patient and kind. I'm so thankful and I recommend them to anyone.

Having a pleasant experience when purchasing a car is something I believed was make believe -- until I dealt with Rick Valnoski from Hamilton VW.Rick presented a competitive offer and actually had the exact car in stock with my preferences. Those factors and not being pushy were big pluses for me in driving down 40 miles to Hamilton VW, even though there were 2 other VW dealers with 15 miles from my house. While at the dealership, my wife, father, and I were welcomed and shown respect during the car negotiations. There was no gray area at all and all questions/concerns were answered.If I am in the hunt for a VW again, I will be working with Rick again.

I just recently purchased a Nissan pickup truck from a dealer in NJ. My only wish is that VW sold pickup trucks.That deal was the classic bait and switch,a total demoralizing experience.I have dealt with just about every line of cars, VW dealers have been the only car dealers that treated me in a way that I could drive away with a car and feel completely satisfied. I ventured into this dealership with the intent of purchasing a used 2008 Volkswagon EOS. I met with Ron (retired officer of the law for 32 years) and the best part about working with Ron, was that he was up front and honest from the moment I met with him. I think as buyers, we tend to stereotype dealership employees as people looking to make money off you. Somehow some way, they're going to get the best of you. Working with Ron and the Hamilton Volkswagon dealership (including Don Calilap, who works in their Finance department), this purchase could not have went any smoother. I recently purchased a New VW Jetta from Tom Gingras at Hamilton VW. It was a great experience. I was referred to Hamilton from a car buying service provided by my bank. Although over 100 miles from home I decided to do business with Tom because of the level of professionalism and no B/S approach he had with giving me the best deal I couldn't pass up. I still occasionally check prices on the same style Jetta and the price he sold me the new Jetta is still lower than the used ones out there now. He made the transaction easy and even found me financing 2% lower than my pre-approved loan.I drove down everything was ready and I was out of there in no time, no hassles truly the most pleasant car buying experience ever. Hamilton VW is lucky to have Tom, he has earned them a customer for life.

I bought my new VW Golf TDI diesel in mid Jan 2012 and was totally happy with this dealership and my salesman Pete Capriati. Pete did not have exactly the car I wanted on the lot but was able to find it and have me in it in a little over a week. I love this car and am glad I waited for the right one. The negotiation was simple and not stressful even though I don't buy cars very often! I haven't rated customer service or the repair shop only because I have not used them yet.

We are not the easiest customers to deal with and at no point did he loose patience with us. He was very knowledgeable about the Passat and answered every question to our full satisfaction. And what we apprciated a lot is the fact that he cut the B...S... that you hear a lot during the process of buying/leasing a new car. He is a asset to the company and we wish him continued success. I had being searching for a 2012 VW GLI for a few weeks and was bounced around from dealership to dealership. Even after attempting to instruct the sales associates at the other dealerships not to contact me unless they have the number I want. I kept getting calls and even "guarantees" that they could meet my "number". They were all full of $%#t when I showed up. Pulling the old "its only 7,8, 10 more month". I was contacted by Rick from Hamilton VW from an online search that I had requested. He stated that he had a vehicle I might be interested in. I stopped in, he showed me the vehicle, I told him my final price and told him to not to call me unless they can make it work (A total of 15 min). He called me a few hours later and said that they can make the deal work. I went back in, they had already completed the numbers to make the deal and was waiting from my approval. I had a the car that I was searching for without any issues or the sales team attempting to push me into a higher number. Timeline- 12:00pm met Rick, saw car, gave him my terms. 12:15pm left dealership 2:45pm contacted by Rick, deal made 5:00pm picked up car

Just wanted to say "well done Hamilton Volkswagen" I worked with Ron Demaskey for the purchase of my 2011 TDI Jetta and what a nice guy! Ron was outstanding, he took very good care of me and went out of his way to find my car as I wanted a TDI Jetta in White with Black interior. At the time of this purchase gas prices increased and Diesel's were very hard to come by. Ron searched dealers until he was able to find one willing to give up the car and then had it delivered to the dealership at no extra charge to me. I would recommend Hamilton VW to anyone looking for a square deal on a Volkswagen and Ron is the guy to see! Also I need to mention that I had just retired from my job (25yrs. with the Police Department) and many car dealers claim to take care of the the PBA members, well "THEY DID!!!"

I love my new 2012 Passat! The car is luxurious! Pete C. is the best salesman!! This is the third car Pete has sold me and I am always impressed about his indepth knowledge of the cars. He explained the car's equipment thoroughly before, during and after the test drive. I love how the car's Bluetooth just picks up anything on my iphone! The trunk is huge and fits my double stroller plus an entire shopping order of groceries. Terry, the sales manager, explained everything about the financing and answered all of my questions. The process was painless and the dealership walked me through the process step by step in a timely manner. The car came out wonderfully detailed. The new Passat even has a first aid kit in the trunk.It was a pleasure to buy a car from Hamilton, VW! The dealership was clean and had a nice waiting area for kids. Overall, this was an outstanding car buying experience with caring, knowledgeable and friendly sales people.

Ron was great to work with. Originally stated he would sell me the car at 500 under invoice. I stated to go into holdback. Stated that was his "best deal" until I showed him paperwork from Princeton VW who did go 1k under invoice AND the 235.00 mat kit for 99.00 for the same vehicle. He then said he would match it. I brought over my trade where they appraised it at 4,500!!!!! This car is an 04 with only 48k in mint cond, a VW Golf. I wanted at least 6800. They first stated ok, then came back with the most they could do was 5k. This went from 6800 to 5k? Sorry I said no way he (the manager) stated "if you can get that deal you better take it" so we did. We went back to Princeton VW where the manager and staff were great bought the car and posted it on FB and every other site. I am now ALSO going to be buying my Bug there as well as my sister for her Passat! Hamilton did not just loose 1 deal but 5 out of their greed. Princeton is now our VW dealer for the entire family. Glad to see that Hamilton really took care of the "men in blue" as they stated.

This dealership, and Tom Gingras (the salesman who helped me) were great. By far the friendliest, most helpful car salesman I've met in my 2 month long search for a new car. Tom was the only salesman who did not try to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. His focus was on educating me about my options, making my experience at Hamilton Volkswagen enjoyable, and getting the best deal possible for me. Without a doubt, I would say to anyone, go to Hamilton Volkswagen, ask for Tom Gingras (although I'm sure all of their salespeople are as great as Tom was) and you will see why this dealership has a name for excellence!

I couldn't be happier with my 2011 VW Jetta TDI. Robert was like an old friend. OR a long lost family member! The whole process was like a walk in the park. Everyone was very nice. They even feed us pizza on a Saturday afternoon. I really wish I could buy another car that's how great the whole experence was. I can't say enough great things about Robert! He is truely a sales pro. I didn't feel like I was buying a car but having a disscussion about sports or something. Thank you Robert for everything. Excellent service and very friendly. Have visited a couple of other branches in nj, but pete was gr8. He helped us around and showed us all the best options. He was very patient and did not rush us like most sales employees. I would definitely suggest keeping this dealership in your list if u wish to shop for a mazda/volkswagon.

The car buying process is not an easy one. finding the right fit, the right price, the right product can be a burden. This burden was thrown out the window at hamilton vw. I made an information call and was connected to Robert Bryant, and he listened to my needs and desires, and was extremely helpful and friendly. i was shopping other dealers at the time and Robert put me at such ease, that i wound up working with him, or i should say, he worked with me to get me what was the right car, at the right price. I didn't feel like i was dealing with a typical car salesman, i was dealing with a regular guy, who wanted to help if he could. i never felt pressure to do anything, and we shared a lot of laughs. The deal was made and i am a very happy owner of a new Passat. Thinking about a vw? go to hamilton vw, and ask for Robert Bryant. Tell him Big Pete sent you!

This is the sixth VW that my wife and I have bought from this dealership. Our salesman, Robert, was a real pleasure to work with. I always felt like he was "in our corner" and working with me to get the best deal possible. The deal was very fair and I love my new VW CC. If the past 13 years is any indication we will be customers for a long time to come.

Drove 2 hours to test drive a vehicle. I was 1 mile away from the dealership when I received a call that the car had been "sold" right at closing time the night before. Interesting that the vehicle is still listed on the website and is still on the lot with a for sale sign. Not really sure what the issue was but it appears that they have shady sales practices. They were extremely unprofessional. The vehicle was priced very well so maybe they had second thoughts about selling it at that price. I would be cautious about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I guess I should consider myself lucky... I found out just what they are made of before signing on the dotted line.

Overall:I could not be more pleased with my car buying experience with Tom Gingras and Hamilton Volkswagen. I would highly recommend Tom and Hamilton VW.Initial looking at cars and price negotiation:Tom was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested. Also, he was very prompt in answering any questions whether by phone or email. I was very pleased with the ease and prompt responses during the negotiations process (conducted mostly by email and phone). Closing process:Unlike some other dealers in my past, Hamilton VW did not pressure me to buy certain add-ons, but they shared what they were and did not ask twice when I said that I didn't want it. Also, Tom spent a lot of time showing me in-depth all the great features of the VW I bought -- I really appreciated it.

Told cars were avaliable, they weren't. Internet salesperson misquoted a price and dealership would not honor it. Wasted over 45 minutes drive each way and an hour at the dealership. Terrible place.

I had been to a few different VW dealers in my area before having Hamilton VW recommended to me, the sales experience was FAR more enjoyable. The facility is large and clean with friendly people ready to help you. Peter is very honest and doesn't engage in the salesman doublespeak I had almost come to expect from my local dealers.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Hamilton VW. We were very lucky to have been able to have Robert Bryant assist us. He is a very nice person, not just a good salesman. My family felt very comfortable with him, he was very kind to my nine year old son, and very down to earth with us. We didn't feel like we were buying a car, we felt like we were talking to an old friend who was giving us good advice. Between the time we met with Robert and the time we picked up our new VW, we had lost power from Hurricane Irene. Robert called us more than once to check in and make sure that we were okay, which I thought was so extremely nice. We would never deal with anyone BUT Robert Bryant when my lease is up; he is well spoken, pleasant to talk to, down to earth, and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Hamilton VW, and I highly recommend that you work with Robert Bryant to make your good experience even better.

We had to buy our car long-distance -- not easy. We knew what we wanted, but still had to track down our car under time pressure. Pete Capriotti and the folks at Hamilton Imports were great about following up e-mails and phone calls (unlike other dealers we tried). They found us a car, took care of the paperwork, and promised we would have it at the time and date we specified. We were a bit skeptical, but they were as good as their word. We arrived in town; they sent a car to pick us up; and the rest went like clockwork -- friendly, smooth, efficient and no nasty surprises. We were thrilled. Very happy to give this dealership nothing but gold stars.

Robert was WONDERFUL! I knew that a wanted a VW, manual, but other than that I wasn't sure what I wanted ... new, used or leased. Robert worked with me as far as what I could afford and was patient, friendly and very helpful throughout the whole process. Customer Service got my new 2012 Jetta ready in no time and I love it! Pete has been very helpful both through email, phone and on the floor getting us the car we wanted (a manual Jetta) and undercut the price from other dealers. The Hamilton team was very helpful and pro-active throughout the sales process and followed up on things even when Hurricane Irene was about to strike. I called and spoke with Peter over the phone first. He was extremely helpful and forthcoming with advise. He was not at all pushy! I spoke with 8 dealers and I went with them even though they were not as conveniently located.Their price was by far the best and i felt that Peter really knew what he was talking about. After a few calls that day we went down that night and bought the car and took it home! Overall, a great experience. Peter even called the next morning to see how everything was.By the time I walked into the dealership I knew everything I needed to know about the car, and I knew what was price was. The only thing left was a test drive and sign the check!

Did an internet purchase so only visited the dealer to pick-up the car. Got a good quote right off the bat and had a pleasant easy-going experience with Pete. Didn't realize dealers often give better quotes to people from further away (I traveled over 50 miles) to get business knowing you could haggle with people closer... good to know.

As a single woman I was a bit hesitant to buy a new car on my own. Robert listened to my needs and wants and needs. Robert was very knowledgeable about the Jetta. He explainded everything in terms even I could understand. He was a big help with my negotiations and,after bantering back and forth, we ended up with a fair trade and new car purchase. His wonderful sense of humor and lack to pressure on me made the entire experience a pleasurable one. The dealership advertised a VERY LOW price ($1,591) for a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle on Craigslist. We responded to the post through Craigslist asking for confirmation that the car was available for the price advertised. We copied & pasted the name, price, and URL from Craigslist into the email. A Sales Agent from the Dealership responded (which is when we learned that the posting was for a car at a dealership) and confirmed that the car was still available. The following day, we confirmed the vehicle was still available via email again. Since it is such a long drive for us, Steven wanted to make sure we werent wasting our time & gas by traveling to see a car that was no longer available. Mr. Bryant confirmed that the car was still available. We went to the dealership; test drove the car; confirmed it was for sale and not reserved. We advised them we wanted to buy the car. They did the paperwork and wrote it up at $15,910 at which time I refuted the price. I showed the Sales Rep (Robert Bryant); the Sales Manager (Kevin); and the General Manager (Dave Brodtman)the advertisement and the email confirmation, but they refused to honor their advertised price. They refused to honor their advertised price despite our evidence & arguments. I believe this is a case of False Advertising; Bait & Switch; and slander of behalf of Mr. Brodtman to accuse us of maliciously trying to take unfair advantage of the dealership.

I just purchased (06-30-2011) a 2011 Volkswagen GTI from Robert Bryant at Hamilton Volkswagen in Hamilton, NJ. I can say without a doubt he was the best sales associate I have ever worked with. I am not the easiest customer to deal with and he was more than accomadating. He doesn't preasure you or lie to you at all. Robert took a lot of time to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase, this included multiple test drives of different cars over a few days. I was able to make a decision on my own with no preasure from him in any direction. When it came to pricing he was extremely fair with me. Not your typical car buying experience here. Robert Bryant made it fun to look at new cars for my wife and I. He is a no pressure salesman that will give you details about Volkswagens to help make your decision. Robert knows his product and quickly determines what you need to fit your driving expectation. He got us a great deal trading our old car with a great deal on a new Jetta. Hamilton Volkswagen is a good place to start car shopping. All the staff we met were friendly, personable and willing to help.

After months of researching online various automobiles, including Volvo, Saab,and finally having my mind set on a new Audi A4, i came across a website advertisingthe new Volkswagen CC. So i decided to drop in and test drive one, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when the sales person, Robert Bryant, took me for a test drive, explained all the features and fine reasons for purchasing a CC,but, applied no pressure whatsover, and even let me take the car for a few hours to be sure i liked it! Robert spent some time on the phone with me before I even came in to the dealership. I had done quite a bit of online research, knew what I wanted & he was able to find the exact car I was looking for. He went over all car operations & special features, installed bluetooth and generally helped me feel comfortable with my car. He took care of getting my insurance straightened out. The employee with whom I signed all the paperwork, whose name I unfortunately don't remember was exceptionally friendly, helpful and gave me good advice and information.I would rate Hamilton VW as the least stressful place in whichI have ever bought a car.

Robert spent nearly 2 1/2 hours with my wife and I the first day that we went to Hamilton VW explaining the various options, going on test rides etc. Robert was even able to get us financing at the same rate as we could have gotten at our credit union. He supplied all of the information we needed to make an informed decision about the Jetta SportWagen TDI we were interested in. We decided to sleep on it overnight, and the next day we decided to buy the car. Robert is a pleasure to work with and there was none of the high-pressure sales tactics that I have experienced at other dealers in the past. Everyone we met at the dealership was just as professional and knowledgeable as Robert and we highly recommend Robert and Hamilton VW to anyone who is considering purchasing a VW.

Hamilton Volkswagen was an extremely pleasant experience. On my first visit, I met with Peter and was in search of a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, which they did not have in stock. Peter gently took me over to the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and explained all the features without being pushy at all. After going on a test drive I was in love and my decision was made. I was not ready to buy the car that day, but came back the next week and in the absence of Peter, I ended up making the sale with Robert Bryant. I had tried for several months to get a Jetta TDI Sportwagen, manual,black w/ tan interior. I was told it was nearly impossible to get, and that I would get a call. They Never called. I put in a web request late on a Thursday night. By 9:30 AM Friday Robert had emailed me saying they could get the car. Saturday they called me to say they had the car and were working out the logistics of getting it to NJ. Monday they confirmed that they would have the car on Tuesday. Monday Night I filled out a credit application to complete the financed. Tuesday AM, I got told the credit went through, Tuesday 2 PM they had the exact car I wanted on their lot waiting for me. Tuesday night, now, I am sitting at home with the car that I wanted in my drive way. Robert and Peter were able to do in 4 days what another dealer told me was nearly impossible. They were responsive, honest, and bottom line, they got the deal done.

Working with Robert was truly a pleasure. He was both knowledgeable and professional in assisting me with locating the exact car I wanted at the absolute lowest price. Even though the car I had originally selected was not available, Robert continued to work with me, first at attempting to arrange a trade with a nearby dealership, to finally locating the exact vehicle I wanted in port and arranging for it to be delivered-- and, at the price that I was originally quoted. I was very impressed both with the car and my salesman. Robert treated me as an intellegent driver and made the whole process enjoyable. He helped set up the telephone and introduced the whole sound system thing always being both professional and freindly.I purchased a VW Golf TDI. The car drives well and should have excellent milage. I was disapointed in the locking mechanism. Apparently there is no way to turn off the annoying beeping noise. Hopefully this will be solved in the future.

I had an awesome experience with this dealership. Had previously contacted Burlington Volkswagen and the person I talked to seemed uninterested unless I was to travel to the store. After that disheartening experience, I went online for a quote from the Hamilton store. Within minutes I was contacted by Ms. Danks. She was very friendly and seemed to care about my situation. She had the deal worked out (for a lot less than I was previously quoted) before I left my house and everything was quick, easy and painless when I got to the dealership. As a first time buyer Hamilton Volkswagon was the best choice for me! They were very friendly, easy to talk to, very informative, and easy to contact. Peter Capriotti sold me my first car, a Jetta Sedan and he was very helpful. He wasn't as pushy as most salesman, and he was also interested in helping me. Some sales people I worked with at other dealerships seemed to peg me as a non-buyer so they didn't want to waste time on me. Big mistake on their part. Hamilton Volkswagen was not like that at all, as soon as you entered they approached you to assist you any way they could. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

Pete took the time over 2 weekends to allow us to ask as many questions and raise as many concerns we had towards our purchase. He was patient and extremely well informed about the subject matter. At no point did I feel I was being hustled or forced to buy anything. Pete was very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable with the car of our choice. My overall experience w/ Hamilton VW was excellent. I have been w/ Chrysler for over 15yrs and never felt as good as making a car purchase then the way I felt when coming to Hamilton VW dealership.Robert Bryant was very helpful and understanding with my financial situation. He gave me options as oppose to saying there is nothing we can do for you. That's what I heard w/ Chrysler..15++yrs and that is how they treat a loyal customer. NOT!!!Terri did his magic with presenting figures that were afforable and did not ask me to put a lot of money down. NICE!!!The environment at Hamilton VW was very relaxed and comfortable. No sales pressure. GREAT!!!I even enjoyed getting a call from the service manager introducing himself and letting me know that if there is something that I don't know about my VW Passat, to just bring it in and we would go over it. WOW!!! Hamilton VW has truely exceeded my expectations.

BUYER BEWARE!! I found a gti online and called and the guy said the car was in great conditon "you gotta see this car". I travel almost an hour to see it and wait for 20 min inside. He tells me oh the gti is in horrible shape and they won't sell it because thier repair people couldn't even fix it. Horibble experience a big waste of my time. Beware they false advertise on the website also. A horrible experience , would never buy a car from them.

I purchased a 2008 certified beetle for my daughter at Hamilton. Drove from Danbury, CT (135 miles). With several dealers in my area, I could not find the perfect car for her. Pricing is so much higher in Ct and NY. The people at Hamilton VW are great. No pressure at all, no games, friendly and professional. I have purchased many cars, all Nissan's as my best friend ownes a Nissan dealership in Ct. My daughters dream car was a 350Z or a VW beetle. Walk in with a quote and walk out with a new car. They honor the quote and have the lowest price in the whole northern part of NJ. I don't live in NJ, but Hamilton VW provided me the information and service that I'm willing to travel long distance to buy the new car.

After a dealer in the same area reneged on a deal, Rick made it work. He stayed in touch throughout finding the make and color, getting it delivered, closing the sale, and going through the functions and electronics at delivery. No BS, just good old fashioned service.

I have been going here for years, Ginny and Abraham have always gone above and beyond. I recently brought my car in for what turned out to be a substantial repair. Ginny called me to advise me of the repair, and knowing that the vehicle was out of warranty I knew I would be paying for this. To my surprise Ginny advised me that she had spoken to her service manager, and based on my maintenance history, and being a long time service customer they would get it covered for me. I stoped into this dealership to test drive a new tiguan. I had had a car accident the night before and was concerned as to how to best handle the repairs, the purchase of a new vehicles and the costs. As a result of excellent service I was able to walk away from all concerns and drive home in a new car at a monthly cost well within my budget. The small SUV is just the right size for me. I drive around smiling.Once week after taking ownership of the car the back passenger tire blow out. I brought the car to the dealership and they gave me a car for the day while they put a new tire (no costs to me) on the car. This is a good place. :)

I worked with Robert at Hamilton VW, and he was a great guy and has gone out of his way to make me comfortable with the process. He honored their very competitive online quote to me, so I was in and out fairly quickly. The entire staff there I dealt with was low pressure and very friendly, and since I was an out of state customer, worked with me so everything would be ready when I arrived. As my first new car purchase, I could not be happier with how I was treated, and Robert made sure that I was happy with service received. Even though it was a 128 mile drive, I would not hesitate to do business there again.

Drove 130 miles from eastern Long Island to purchase a new GTI from this dealership. They had the best price (no dealer on LI would go near their price)& they also had a great reputation (according to this web site), especially Pete. Spoke to him on phone several times before i made the long trip to confirm pricing & availability. Thought for sure things would change once i got there but i was wrong. He was helping about 4-5 people at once & was a complete gentleman. I've bought many cars over the years, new & used, and there were some good & bad experiences. This was by far the best. There were no games, no pressure, no sales mgrs or GM's involved. Just me & Pete. Took a little less than 3 hrs to complete the sale. Went home w/my new GTI very happy. Thanks!

I was looking for a GTI. Hamilton VW turned out to be the best price on Truecar.com . So i went in and talked with pete and he was really friendly. He offered me a test drive of the GTI and a used R32 . He wasn't pushy and my whole car-buying experience went well.

Great car buying experience largely responsible by Mr. Peter Capriotti. He made my purchase in Hamilton VW a short(total time 2 hours to drive the new car out the door)and present event. Instead of sending me to different department to get things done(many car dealers do that and I must say I don't like it), he handled everything, to including loan, registration, trade in, etc......for me.

It was an excellent experience. I began my search on the internet. Hamilton offered me the best price compared to other dealers in the tri-state area. Pete Capriotti was fantastic. He quickly responded to my internet request. He was very attentive and explained to me all of the options available. He sent the VIN to my insurance company to ensure I would have insurance coverage. He also had the car prepared for me when I arrived at the dealership to pick it up. Al-in-all a very pleasant experience. Worth the 2+ hour drive. I highly recommend Pete and the Hamilton dealership.

I contacted Hamilton VW on two occasions over the past month to initiate a discussion regarding trading in my current VW (which was the second car I had financed through their dealership). After waiting a couple weeks for someone to contact me, I simply decided to look elsewhere. In the end, I traded in my VW and got into a brand new 2011 Nissan Juke SV. I was thinking of getting a Tiguan, and due to the sales team's inability to respond to a repeat customer they lost a sale and I am now driving a car that I would have otherwise completely overlooked. But I digress, let me get back to some of the additional issues that led me to look elsewhere.As it is well known that their service department is overpriced, that is common knowledge and shouldn't be used as a negative when rating a particular dealership; however, the problems of Hamilton VW's service department extend well beyond that primary issue. Having owned a couple VWs (Passat and a Jetta), I've had my fair share of memorable moments (not good memories). One particular time, I had made an appointment to bring my car in for a 40k service. They gave me a loaner and I went to work. I received no phone calls, no price quote, nothing. Then around 3pm, I receive a voicemail that my car is ready to be picked up and it would cost $875 (don't remember the exact price but do remember it was almost $900). I was in disbelief and honestly figured they had mixed my service report with some other unfortunate person. I called back and it was confirmed - the standard 40k service, with no other work - no brakes, rotors, nothing - cost $800+. It was explained that the car was practically disassembled and everything was gone over with a fine tooth comb. I paid, because thats what I asked for, but a heads-up on the cost would have been helpful. I also had a common problem with both the passat and the jetta. When going over bumps, a chirping noise could be heard coming from the wheel area. The service writer on my first car told me on first two visits dedicated to correcting this problem that they couldn't reproduce the noise - thats BS, I heard it every single day. Finally, on my third visit, they discovered the that the wheel bearings were bone dry and required lubrication. They fixed the problem and it was covered under warranty - could this be why they didn't want to fix it the first two times? It wasn't like I was in any kind of inherit danger, it was just an auditory annoyance yet still their job to correct. This same problem occurred on my second VW. Every time I brought the car in for service, they would say that they could not reproduce the sound. I even told them to look at my old records because it was obviously the same issue. Again, nothing was done to correct the issue - I gave up and dealt with the annoying sound. The straw that broke that camels back occurred right around the time I was waiting to receive a return call from the dealership when looking to purchase a new Tiguan (which never occurred). I had placed a call to service department because I had a flashing exhaust system malfunction light - pretty serious issue as per the owner's manual. Now, in the past, when calling Hamilton VW, a secretary who handles call flow for both Hamilton VW and their Mazda dealership would answer and direct calls accordingly. When I asked this particular woman to direct my call to the VW service department, she awkwardly asks me if I was looking to speak to a particular person. "No, I'm calling to set up an appointment for my car." She proceeds to tell me that she can help me with this. Every time in the past I was transfered to a service writer who would pull up my service record on their computer while talking to me, I figured, oh well, and proceeded to tell her my problem and that I would like to set up an appointment. I'm then notified that I'll have to wait about a week and half until the next available appointment. I explained that according to the manual, this was a pretty serious issue and to get the car serviced immediately, yet she did nothing to try to accommodate my request. I wasn't put on hold, she didn't ask anyone else for advice - nothing. In fact, when I discussed contacting another dealership or mechanic to find a quicker appointment, she did nothing to try to help me. In my honest opinion, I don't believe that woman had any business handling that phone call. In the end, I had my car serviced elsewhere, bought a brand new car from another dealership and they missed out on approx. $23,000 in business. I guess financing over $40,000 with them in the past was good enough and they didn't want to exceed the $60,000 mark.

I have to agree with many of the other reviews out there on this dealership, that this has been the best new car buying experience that I've had. The price I paid was exceptional and the committment of Pete Capriotti in finding the car that I wanted is commendable. I stopped at Hamilton Square dealership to buy a new car. My salesperson was Peter Capriotti. It was best experience in my life buying car with Peter. He was very helpfull, took great care about me and my trade. He did not leave until all of the paper work was complete. My previous car I bought with North East VW. It was a nightmare. I am very happy with my purchase and will recommend every friend and family Peter and Hamilton Square VW.

I gave a high rating because when I walked in to the dealership I was promptly and politely approached by Pete Capriotti and was warmly welcomed to the store. That was only the beginning though. I informed him about a certified VW Eos that I saw online and he took a copy of my driver's license and put a tag on the car and gave me the key and asked me if I had any questions about the car and I said not yet and I drove off on a test drive of my discretion. My girlfriend was with me since the car was actually for her but she brought me along since I knew a little more than her about the process. We came back in about 20 minutes and I informed Pete that we were ready to make a cash deal. We said what we wanted to pay and we had a deal in less than 10 minutes. I have bought 10 cars in my lifetime and this was the fastest deal ever. We had some minor issues with the car that was promptly handled with a phone call to Pete. We were glad this wasn't a whole lot of back and forth that can happen at some dealerships. In this instance, this was not the case. By the way, the car is a 2008 and my friends and neighbors thought it was a 2011. This is a first class dealership in my opinion.

I was short on time so he had the car and paperwork prepared prior to pickup which made the sale go very smooth and quick. I would highly recommend Peter and dealership to purchase a new car.

The Hamilton Volkswagen dealership is clean, well-staffed, and holds an impressive inventory of new cars. Although the vehicle I selected was not available at the Hamilton VW dealership, Tom was able to get me the exact car I requested within 72-hours. I am not a big fan of the new car purchase experience, but Tom made it quick and painless. I would highly recommend Hamilton Volkswagen to anyone who needs a new or used Volkswagen. This dealership was by far the best dealership we had visited in our search for a new car. From the time my wife and I entered the door(which was 30min before they closed) We experienced no pressure and management seemed to be willing to make all realistic deals. They had great quality of pre-owned vehicles. Pete was driving up multiple cars for us to see and drive at the same time they should of been going home for the day. Pete listened to our needs therefore was able to recommend other models that we were not aware that were in our budget.Our car was clean for pick up the next day. Sometimes the paperwork can be a long process especially in busy times, however Jim had everything ready to go the next day. 10 min I was driving!

We had a great experience overall. We just have one complaint - regarding the night we were there to purchase the car. The process of completing the paperwork took way too long - over 4 hours and we had come 1 1/2 hours to get there, so it was a very late night for us. We were exhausted by the time it was over. That is our only complaint. Pete was terrific.

My experience at Hamilton VW was great. I found Pete to be very affable and knowledgeable. I thought the price could've been a lower than what I paid for after all was said and done. Other than that, Pete reminds me of a cool dad that would make you chuckle. Definitely treated the best out of the other dealerships I went to.

I was looking forward to buying a new VW Routan, but was dreading the buying experience. I was surprised and amazed at my great experience with this dealership and salesperson. It was like dealing with an old friend. I was treated with respect and the entire process was a pleasure. Pete Capriotti treated me honestly - I had done my research and had all of the pricing and incentive data - I never had to take anything out of my file. I was given the right price the first time - I was ready for a battle but Pete made it unnecessary. Pete took his time and explained all of the features of the car and how they work. He explained the VW carefree maintenance and the benefits of Hamilton VW for service. Pete said he will be available to assist with anything during my ownership. The definition of the word "Service" finds true meaning here - Before During and after the sale. Id feel safe sending my own mother alone to Pete to buy her next new car.

Pete Cappriotti was an amazing salesperson. He knew everything about the CC we were looking for. He explained in great detail all of the amenities the car had. He was friendly and walked us through every step of the purchase. He made sure we were 100% happy with the lease before we left. The dealership is clean and has a great area for kids to play. Terry, the sales manager, explained the lease in great detail, and VW had a great lease special on the 2011 CC. The car is amazing. The dealership had the car wonderfully detailed. My overall experience today with Pete Capriotti of Hamilton Volkswagen was nothing less than outstanding. Mr. Capriotti was extremely mindful, patient, informative and reasonable in each and every facet of my visit. He is a good man and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to do business with him. More so, the gentleman I worked with during the final stages of my lease agreement shared similar traits and his level of professionalism was indicative of him being a seasoned businessman. I did my research, I knew what I wanted. I just needed to find the best VW dealer and salesman for my needs. Craig Comfort in one word meritorious (I had to look that word up) For those of you not as brilliant as Craig, the definition of meritorious is deserving reward or praise. Other than that what else can I say about the guy that hasnt already be said? He knows his cars, he knows how to treat his customers and he is great at removing license plates. I would strongly suggest that his dealership offer him a raise but based on the deal I struck up I dont see that happening for him. Go see this guy and tell him Andy sent you!!!

I walked into the dealership looking for a limited edition Beetle convertible. What I really wanted was a hard top convertible WITH a sunroof and a quiet ride with the top up or down. I didn't find that in the New Beetle. Ready to walk out of the dealership without a purchase, that I really didn't need anyway, Craig Comfort, my salesman, asked me what I was looking for in a car. Long story short, he introduced me to the VW EOS. When I saw the hard top move in and out of position, well, that was enough for me. Then, I drove the car and it was everything I was seeking in a car. Fun, quiet on the road, good looking and within my price range. Sounds like a good catch, I know...the car I mean. The financing was a great deal. Craig worked the numbers with my trade-in and the bottom line price of the car. It was a no brainer. I was going home in a brand new beautiful car that was fun to drive and easy on the eyes. Working with Craig was a pleasure and he literally made it all happen. From a Beetle to an EOS...priceless.

We were very hesitant to look at VW again for our next car since we were replacing a Jetta that had its share of repairs over the years of light use but we really like the style of the cars so we decided to just look. We were greeted by Craig Comfort once we arrived and right away we felt very comfortable with him. We had been through a bad experience with our last salesman at another dealership so Craig was a nice change. His selling style was exactly what we needed to help us make a decision that we would be happy with. He helped us feel more comfortable about venturing back to VW with his knowledge and honesty about the vehicles. He presented options and pricing that was straight forward with no tricks or games. Craig made the purchase of the car very easy for us and went out of his way to work with us on limited time considering we had to work around our childs schedule. We loved the no pressure sales that we experienced with working with Craig, that was the key of his success with us. I feel that working with Craig that we worked out the perfect deal. I left the purchase feeling that both parties walked away very satisfied with the final sale. I hope that people read this review and will come in to Hamilton VW and speak with Craig Comfort and walk away with the same satisified experience that we left with.

Craig is most certainly an outgoing and persistent salesman. He approached my sale in friendly manner, seeming most concerned with understanding exactly what I wanted in a car. Despite my wonderful price on the car however, the overall process turned out to be somewhat stressful. I suppose I felt blindsighted when I learned that the delivery of my car was achieved by driving it to my dealership and was even more caught offguard to learn the mechanics who do the Pre-delivery Inspection took my car for a joyride to purchase their greasy lunch. As any customer would likely be, I was insulted and upset. However, Craig maintained a level of professionalism and understanding during the experience that was integral in resolving such issues and restoring my comfort in pursuing the deal.

Craig did a fabulous job locating the exact car I was looking for. The dealership went out of its way to make me feel comfortable and to work with me while I was selling my previous car. They did not use high pressure, but spent their time speaking to my wife and I about the quality of the car and the value of the TDI. When I received the car, Craig spent 45 inutes going over all the features and making sure that everything worked and that I knew how to use them.I will definitely recommend the dealership and Craig to purchase your next car.

I was in the market for a 2009 VW Passat. I started the process online by requesting several quotes from VW dealers in my area. Craig was very responsive and immediately offered a great price, better than the others. So I decided to go for a visit. The dealership was very nice, laid-back and casual. Craig is definitely a VW enthusiast, he is very knowledgeable about the cars, and was very helpful. He truly wanted to sell me the right car for me, not just make a sale. As matter of fact he talked me out of the first car I wanted and into a car that had less options. He recognized that I shouldn't purchase rear side airbags since I have small children. I appreciated that very much!! It was more like talking with another VW guy than a salesman. I've found that many salespeople don't care to know their product line nor seem to care about their customers. Not the case with Craig! It was a pleasure. No hassles, stress free!

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership. My previous car came from a private seller. While looking for a new car I visited several used car dealerships and was turned off by all of the other salespeople I encountered. Then, I visited Hamilton VW where I was helped by Craig Comfort.It was a wonderful experience working with him. He was not the typical, pushy salesman. Worst salesmen i ever dealt with, and ive dealt with a lot. The good reviews about him on this site must be written my Craig himself. He tried rushing me into a deal, lied about my credit, lied about car delivery date, very uncomfortable to work with, but unfortunately he answered the phone everytime i called. I got a great deal on the car through my own work, and i almost still left the dealership pissed off.Craig, find a new line of work

Craig was very instrumental in getting a sale and getting the best car for us at the same time. We went in looking for a hatchback and when we were not satisfied with the Rabbit he suggested Getta wagon, which proved to be the best car for us. He helped get the right car from a sister dealership and even helped with the trade-in.I would gladly recommend both him and the dealership to any of my friends or family.

Everyone at Hamilton VW were very courteous and friendly. My initial contact with my salesman, Craig Comfort was when I called for directions. When I arrived at the dealership Craig was extremely knowledgeable about the Jetta. I had not been planning to purchase a new car but was forced to since a broken timing belt ruined the engine of my 2002 Passat. The service department was very helpful and took the time to explain in detail what needed to be done if I was going to repair my car.Craig worked very hard to help me through the disappointment of having to trade my Passat. He even managed to get me excited about my new unanticipated purchase. This dealership sold me a car with some minor damage (small dent on the drivers side) that I didnt notice when I bought the car. They represented it as mint condition and said it was a managers car and they took great care of it. Within the next week I noticed the damage and asked them about it when I went to get my plates. I was surprised and offended that they told me they couldnt help me and that it was hard for them to believe that it wasnt me that caused the damage. Not only was it not my fault, but the dent was something that had been obviously previously fixed and popped out. I thought maybe since I am a young woman they just werent taking me seriously but when my father went to talk to them they were even more nasty saying that within the last week i must have gotten into an accident, gotten it fixed, and had the repair fall apart. Although it was obviously their fault they refused to accomodate me in any way and offered $100 towards a job that would cost hundreds. You would think that after I payed over 20,000 on a car they would fix their mistakes, but apparently the management is so dishonest that they wont even do that. Save yourself the headache and buy your car somewhere else

First I gotta comment on the review below from dieseldriver. he didn't get service becuase he's Asian? I've been to the dealer and there's quite a bit of diversity there. I think the comment is unwarranted from my experience. I just purchased a 2007 GTI thru there and have had a good experience. Price was very fair and so far follow up has been excellent. Recommened.

I have purchased a '01 Jetta from this dealer and had some of the worst experiences when I go there for service. Being that I'm Asian, I get the typical rural caucasian floor mat treatment where they do not even say HI, or greet you when you enter their business. Also, I had my '02 Eurovan MV serviced part of 4 year bumper to bumper warranty, and they kept saying it was fixed and for the third time, problem persisted. Parts department is no better where I believe they sell parts above the MSRP, total ripoff. As suggested by the salesman, I had Hamilton VW install aftermarket sunroof, DVD player, and host of other goodies. When I took it back to them because I was not happy with the quality and the driver's seat wasn't right, they told me to go to the place where I had it installed. Total nightmare, I told them I do not know because they took it to someone to install it. Avoid this dealer at all cost, they are rude, incompentent, and dishonest, not to mention racist!
