I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from this dealership and the vehicle was exceptional. The car drives well. looks very good... no complaints at all. customer service was excellent and still is every time I go there. I would recommend for anyone looking for a vehicle to check them out.The pricing is also the best that I know on the island.

** !Buyer Beware!** This will be a long review but i feel it’s important to inform potential customers of the unfortunate experience we’ve had with Ed at Pacific Auto Sales. Keep in mind that my wife and I financed the purchase of the car through our bank, things may go smoother if you pay cash up front. Overall, he has no communication skills, lacks transparency, and has poor attention to detail. The following will highlight the unprofessionalism. There were a couple of red flags earlier of which I would mention but this review is already long enough. Our biggest problem was how we paid a $400 documentation fee and Ed verbally agreed to handle the new registration and license plates for our car which he did not follow through on. We purchased the car in Dec 2020, due to COVID I expected the DMV to take longer than usual to get the registration and plates, but fast forward 4 months later we still did not receive anything. I contacted Ed and he sends me a picture of the registration on his desk, the registration was issued THREE MONTHS ago in January. I asked if he has the new plates too, and he says no he will look for it. I call and text him back for a couple days with no reply. Finally, I go down to Pacific Auto Sales myself to see what’s going on and he says “I can’t find the plates, here’s the registration just submit for the new plates yourself.” But it doesn’t end there, stapled to the registration was the vehicle’s title which he knows supposed to go to the bank (the lien holder). I ask him why does he have it, and basically his reply was somehow he was mailed the registration which was supposed to be mailed to us, and the title which was supposed to go to the bank but instead of contacting anyone he decided to sit on it waiting for someone else to call him. What followed was a bunch of obnoxious excuses, he blamed everyone else and not once did he apologize for any short comings on his end. I end up taking the paperwork, delivered the vehicle’s title to the bank myself, and coordinated with the DMV to get new plates issued again for the car. Very disappointed in Ed and Pacific Auto Sales; completely unprofessional.

I purchased an SUV from Pacific Auto Sale in 2020. The vehicle was priced well and came with a three month warranty. When I purchased the SUV the owner tried to charge me a $500 dollar administration fee. When I asked what the fee was for he responded, "for advertising." The cars are advertised on craigslist, so feel free to tell him you are not paying that fee as he knocked it off for me. He also charged me for a full year worth of registration even though I would have to renew it in 6 months (equals about $170 in Hawaii). Within a month of getting the SUV I noticed that the brakes needed replacing and the vehicle was vibrating while going about 55mph. I contacted the owner about the issues and we went for a test drive. Every person I had driven with had noticed the vibration when I asked them about it but the owner claimed he couldn't hear or feel anything when I drove it with him and pointed out the vibration. I took the vehicle to another shop and they immediately identified it as an alignment issue and fixed the problem for $80. The owner did agree to replace the breaks, which was great until I learned that he had not replaced the rotors. Additionally, after driving for two days and feeling a new vibration I learned that they had not even tightened all of the lug nuts on my tires, which may have been an accident but seemed indicative of the business. While it is not necessary to always replace the rotors with the breaks, since mine went bad within a 3 months of having the breaks replaced I think it is fair to say that the shop was cutting corners. My advice to a buyer would be to not rely on the 3 month warranty when buying a vehicle here. Purchase it with the mindset that you are getting a competitively priced vehicle with zero customer service or warranty.

Bought a 4runner from Pacific Auto Sale. Simple, fast, responsive, easy transaction. Ed is the owner and the one who I got in touch with about initially purchasing the car. Solid guy and honored my deal with him (first come first serve system) even though another buyer offered more than me. He even met me at a car shop to have it inspected my mechanic. Closed the deal within 5 days from test driving to driving it home. I initially declined Ed's offer to take off the wheels spacers, but it kept hitting wheel well once I was driving. I came back a few days later and they took it for me within the hour. Highly recommend.
