Very good experience - Had an issue with the dial gear selector.Service Department delays During COVID can be challenging for service customers during the pandemic. Heather (service writer) understood I needed my car back as soon as possible. In fact the problem was resolved by the service department Very quickly much sooner than I expected. Great turn around. Further Heather was very helpful duplicating a key for the vehicle. Overall excellent experience. Kudos for the service department team at Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough!!

I went to Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough knowing exactly what I wanted in a new Taurus. Mike Mangrum made the whole process very easy, and was very personable during the test drive, never once pressuring me into any decision. when it came to buy, Mike gave the best deal, with no haggle. When I went back to pick up my car, Mike had it polished and shining to perfection, and explained all the features in great detail, making driving away a very joyous experience! I recently bought a certified 2015 taurus from Herb Chambers of West Borough.We only owned the car for less than 2 months and had problems with it starting and other issues.This dealership took the car back ,gave us what we paid and put us into another deal without any hassles .Some may say they had no choice,but the fact is they made this ordeal as painless as possible.Hats off to all involved in helping us. I recently purchased the Focus RS off the showroom floor in June. I will start with the fact that there was a 10k mark up on the car due to ADM. I expected a markup with it being a special order. I thought 10k was a little much but after talking with the finance guy Bill he was able to make everything a little better with warantees and what not. Fast forward about a month later and I wound up hitting a pothole which I thought was no big deal seeing that I had the tire and wheel package. So i go in on August 8th to try and get my rim looked at and figure out what will be done. I speak with Lisa and they take my car in, take pictures and send me on my way. Mind you I have to drive on the damaged rim and a tire that barely hold air. I was told that she would send in the pictures to IAS to get the claim started. I call back a day or two later to find out the progress and she tells me she is still waiting for IAS to contact her. Fast forward to Monday the following week I call her at the end of the day to check progress of the claim and she is still waiting. I proceed to call IAS and they tell me that the pictures were never submitted. They tell me that if I submit them through there application that it should be approved within a couple hours. I send the pictures and sure enough the next day the rim is approved for replacement and Lisa finally calls. Now to my service appointment. It takes a week for the rim to come in. No big deal at this point. I bring the car in to have it replace, it takes about 1.5 hours and then I'm on my way. I thank Lisa and tell her she should probably use the app if she has anymore claims as it gets approved in hours. I drive my car home, park it and notice a scratch on my bumper. I call up Lisa again and she tells me to bring the car down so the service manager can look at it. I get to the dealership and the service manager walks outside and looks as if he cant be bothered. I tell him I brought it in for the rim and noticed the scratch when I got it home. He basically tells me that there is no way it was done while in his possession and that he wasn't going to fix it. Its kind of a coincidence that this is on the same side that the rim was replaced. I bring the car back home and called service again to try and find out if it was identified when the car was taken in. I was told that they would have to talk to the tech and get back to me. Its now been over a week and I havent heard anything about it. I got a call from customer service and explain how everything went and they tell me I would be contacted by the General manager.Three days later I call and finally talk to him and he says he would look into it. Three more days and I have to call again and I talk to the assistant manager and he tells me they don't document anything when it is taken in and there not going to do anything for the car.Steer clear of them as they just want your money.

Please don't be like me, and waste your time with this dealership. My time is very limited, but I took a day off from work to visit this dealership. I had emailed previously, and identified a vehicle I wanted to lease. There was no question which truck I wanted, and how I wanted to purchase it. After driving to this dealership, test driving the truck, and getting a useless sales pitch, I was informed that since it was a 2015, the truck could not be leased. While I don't dispute this fact, it would have been great if someone told me this BEFORE I rearranged my work week, took a day off, drove to the dealership, and test drove the truck. Presuming it was a ploy just to suck me in. I have never been so irritated by a dealership - and the worst part was there was no apologies - not from the individual dealership, nor the 'parent' dealership that I emailed my frustration to. Ford should be embarrassed by this dealership, and their lack of expertise, and respect for customers. Was never so satisfying to buy the truck at another dealership.

I made appointment a week in advance. I made it online then called to assure they had a shuttle to take me to work so I an leave my vehicle all day. No mention of it online. I had an 8;15 appt and arrived by 8;10am. The first person at the desk to lift his head asked me to wait a minute because his service orders were more important. The next person came out of a back office, greeted me. I said I would need the shuttle, was told they were in Worcester, which would have made me late for work. Then he picked up a call right in front of me as if I was not there at all. I walked out. Now all the other local dealers are booked for another week so it will be longer for me to service my Ford and they are not near my office so I rent a car or take a day off. Thank you!

One recall they snapped my glovebox and e other they did not screw back on my door panel; not the service you would expect when getting a mandatory recall done. Asking simple questions about warranty issues gets you a sarcastic and care free answer from the service manager. When speaking with the general manager about my concerns he stated since I didn't buy the car there and he didn't make a profit he has no interest in my concerns and doesn't care how poorly treated I am by his staff. The recalls sent to me said go to the nearest authorized for dealer, but apparently Herb Chambers is exempt and will only care about you if they are taking money out of your pocket. Would never refer anyone to bring there car here for service.

Recently my search for a 2016 Ford Fusion AWD was made seamless with the efforts of Eric Rafter, David Chaplin and all others involved within Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough. My search started with all my vehicle specs put together and me sending out to approximately 8-10 dealership inquiries for best pricing. I received a majority of them back with less than attractive offers, except for one. Herb Chambers put the initial deal together that was both fair and exactly what in wanted from their stock inventory. Communication was great through the whole process even as i pulled out of the lot with the vehicle of my choice. This is the buying experience the way it should be without feeling taken advantage of. Wish I could afford to buy a second, but when it is time, i will go back expecting the same.

Unfortunately, your 2008 CR-V EX had a few issues that I felt did not meet my expectations for a Sale price of $12,500 and an auto listed as certified. (What exactly does certified mean to your dealership?). The body, frame, interior, engine and tranny seem decent however, the heat shield is breaking apart, the tires maybe have another 1/2 year before they need to be replaced, the alignment and brakes were not good,( right off the bat, the front rotors, especially the front driver side is excessively worn down and needs replacement). Also when maneuvering the vehicle left/right as if you were on a winding road, it did not feel right mechanically. Paul, you remember one of the first things you mentioned to me was that the price is not negotiable (Customer's don't want to hear that even if its a fact). You were polite enough but I got a vibe that you did not like the level of visual inspection I was performing to gauge the overall condition of the vehicle and felt that you wanted to rush me through my process (Remember, customers do not like to feel rushed, especially when looking a vehicle over). I was surprised that you did not go with us on the test-drive as a majority of dealerships have the sales person in the car if any questions/concerns from the customer comes up during the test drive. After explaining what I did not like about the condition of the Honda to you, I felt that you and your dealership did not care about the condition of this vehicle (most dealerships at minimum would work that out with the customer either by a price reduction or to offer to address the issues/concerns). You guys offered neither, a bit disappointing. Now, that 2008 CRV in your ad is listed as a certified used auto, so most people would expect it to be in the best condition possible for its actual age/mileage, especially when priced at the middle of the fair market value range. It was disappointing that it was not in the condition (mechanically) that I would expect for a certified used Auto. Did your service team do anything to it other than clean it before it went on the lot for sale? I also did not see the certified portfolio that you claim in the ad. "This Herb Chambers Certified Pre-owned Vehicle has received a rigorous multi-point inspection by our factory trained technicians. Receipt and complete pre-owned portfolio provided when you visit for your test drive"

He knows his customers and always remembers little details from conversations (Even when they have nothing to do with the sale). Always a very easy process. The salesman Ara was great, but the general manager tried to offer me $10,000 under what my car was worth on KBB.com on a trade. When I attempted to leave he got angry, calling me "buddy" like a tough-guy and lied by telling me my car sells cheaper now than when I bought it, all because I did my homework and I schooled him! My '14 Vette has the highest resale value in it's class and they raised the price since 2014 by thousands. Herb Chambers should fire this guy after how he treated me. I would not recommend this scam artist to anyone. Beware!

Brought in my 2013 Explorer. Had an appointment for 7:30 AM on Tuesday. After being told I would be called before lunch, I came to find out they didn't even get my car in to look at it til 3:30pm. Communication at the dealership is very poor. I had to call them each time they told me they would call me. Took 3 business days to fix my breaks. Will look for another dealer to have future repairs.

Leased a new 2015 ford explorer traded a 12 grand cherokee that I also bought from Herb in Millbury as well as many others. Almost left dealer just because didn't think we could accomplish what we wanted. My sales person was finishing up another person and I happened to stop at GSM's office and just tell him I would come back in a couple months when maybe incentive for 16 explorers were better as I was told there were no more 15's. We quickly did find one together in Braintree store and had all everything we wanted. Got a good deal on it, got what I wanted from trade, did this all in a matter of minutes. Very very low BS did not feel like I was being manipulated or any of the "car buying nightmare" people always complain about. Pretty good on paperwork and everything I had a very young child with me and did not go too long or anything. Even through the old pick it up a day before I told them I was going to and still got the job done quickly. Ive had some bad experiences and some good experiences between the Herb Dealers. This was the best Thus far and hope it continues when I return for new lease and change out my truck adventually. If you had a bad experience at a herb chambers dealership do not judge the whole company they are not all created equal it is very specific on the management. Some are good some are bad. The GSM here that I worked with was great. Finance guy also very good once again no BS. Sorry I forgot their names im terrible with names

While on a road trip through the area I ran into some troubles with my 2012 Explorer. I didn't want to be delayed and needed a place that could be relied on so nothing else happened. My phone found Herb Chambers so I went over. Long story short the service was fast, my problems were solved and the customer service was excellent. the salesperson (i wont name) approached us immediately. He made it known he was one of Herb Chambers top salespeople and has sold thousands of cars. My husband and I werent on the same page vehile wise and told him that. He made a terribly sarcastic comment and my husband was insulted so we left and drove down the street and proceded to buy a car from their competiton. Very Bad experience

Have always been very pleased with my experience with Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough and have given them excellent reviews to my friends until today 6/25/15. My Ford Explorer's back rear door was not functioning properly. I took it in and they found that it needs a new motor at a price of $710.00. Which with 51,323 miles is not what I would expect with a 2012 car. I talked with the service manager and was told that is what it is. Asked to talk to the General manager and he went to talk with him. I was told (not in a good way) he would not talk to me and would say the same thing. Pierre came out immediately when I arrived... not in a predatory, high pressure way, but instantly made me at ease. He explained each car I was looking at, and after the test drives answered all my questions. Not only did he help me that day, but patiently answered all my questions and concerns over the next 3 days as I made my long, drawn out decision and flip-flopped 100 times. After my decision, Ricardo took over for the financing, and he worked very hard for me. He stayed in constant contact with me, shopped for the best rate, and did it all quickly. My dad bought his 35th anniversary Mustang from Herb Chambers years ago and suggested I go there to buy my first car. It was a fantastic first time buyer's experience! I felt that Paul really listened to what I was looking for, what I could spend, what I wanted to finance, and what my goals were. I wasn't pushed or shoved towards something I wouldn't have wanted. I was shown a car that fit my needs and style. When I picked up the car, Paul sat with me and helped me set up my SYNC account, showed me every in and out of the car, and invited me to come back at any time, to call him at any time, with any questions. I tend to hang onto my vehicles for a long time ( the last one was a college graduation gift! I won't say how many years ago... lol), but I'll be steering my friends back to Paul at HC. Two months ago, I was assisted by a wonderful Sales Consultant, Marie Hamilton. I could not have asked for a more remarkable car-buying experience than the one that I had with her. I arrived at the lot early in the morning, and did not leave until 4:00pm. I had many requirements for the car that I wanted: color, size, beautiful interior and exterior. It also had to be loaded with the latest safety recommendations and the latest electronic gadgets. Marie patiently stayed with me as we looked at car after car until I found the one which was perfect for me. Marie was so concerned about me that she went above and beyond to make sure that my car would be ready for me before I had to return to work. I love my new 2014 Ford Escape! Let me start this review by saying Paul Scannell, Aaron Proctor and Edgar Rivera were all great. However, I had to return the 2013 Edge Paul sold me because it was defective. The passenger side door handle nearly came off when I opened the door and the vista roof failed to fully open. So much for the 172 point inspection. I was lucky enough to take advantage of the 5 day return option BUT had to eat over $400 in fees...does not seem fair so buyer beware! Recommend checking entire vehicle bumper-to-bumper before signing contract. Who would think to do this with a 2013? I was willing to take another Edge from Herb Chambers in Braintree but was told transaction not possible! I sent an email to the GM and he never bothered to contact me with an explanation. Amazing how quickly you're forgotten when things go awry.

After purchasing my vehicle about a year ago (a very confusing and poorly handled process), I ran into my salesman at the service center and his unsolicited comment to me was " i dropped you as a customer and passed you off to another salesperson because I wasn't going to make any commission on your sale. you got that vehicle at such a low price."Add to that my follow ups for service where i have had to go out of my way to collect a missing users manual and spare key, wait to get my key-less entry programmed once the missing spare key was retrieved, and told i couldn't have a loaner car while my 2 day re-call repair was taking place unless i had signed up for the extended warranty. Poor customer service and its guaranteed that myself and my three family members who have all bought previous vehicles from Herb in Westborough will not be going back to any Herb Chambers dealership. I'm all for saving money and i think the expectation is that when shopping for a car you do negotiate to ensure you're getting the best possible deal and avoiding lots of hidden fees dealerships bake in, along with taking into account the numerous rebates the manufacturers offer to the dealer. To have my original salesman come up to me after the sale and point blank state that i negotiated too much on the price, and he decided to walk out as i was making the purchase of my vehicle and let someone else finish the deal was pretty shocking. Add to that some other employee was then left to wrap up my sale and struggled to ensure everything was correct.

For the first time in my 86 years, I finally found a sales person that made buying a new car a pleasurable experience. Paul Scannell was very knowledgeable about the product he was selling and was not the least bit pushy or trying to force me to buy a car. When I decided that I wanted to buy a 2013 Ford C-Max he competently led me through the process and after the sale was completed took me out to the car and demonstrated all of the features of the car and the new Ford Sync system. Paul even connected my cell phone so that I could receive phone messages hands free while driving. On several occasions I stopped by to ask about some features I didn't quite understand about the system and Paul very patiently and politely took the time to answer all my questions.If there were more sales people like Paul Scannell then the process of buying a new car would not be such a hassle and your worries about getting screwed would disappear..

We dropped off our 2005 F150XLT for diagnostic service on Thursday and had a detailed analysis by noon on Friday 08/01 ... The needed repairs were more that twice the value of the truck and the timing of the new expense was just wrong. It isn't often that the words 'exceptional customer service' and auto dealer or sales consultant are in the same sentence. On referral from a trusted friend, I paid a visit to George Asare (6/14/14). Usually when you call a dealership or fill out a form they say come in and we can get you in a car today. THat does not always happen but at Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough,MA kept that promise. Me and my wife were checking out different types of cars. (Price and Size) We had been to several different dealers in the area.We just wanted to look for now. Within 2 minutes we had a salesman on us. I informed him I wanted to look for now. My wife headed in the other direction. He made comments like, I never saw someone take off like that before! The salesman would not leave me alone to look.When my wife came back he was starting to push cars on us. Even though we both told him we were just looking!! It was a total turn off.It tuned us off so bad we went up the street and bought a used small SUV. The dealer was the complete opposite. Gave us about 30 mins. before someone was there to assist us. then they gave us so much useful information without a sales pitch.

Upon arrival at Herb Chambers Ford, we were greeted immediately by Paul Scannell. Paul was very friendly and patient during our buying experience. He was very knowledgeable about the brand and the specific vehicle we were interested in buying (2014 F250). At one point he went out of his way to bring over a service tech to answer one of my questions on vehicle maintenance. Upon delivery of our Ford truck, Paul took whatever time was needed to go over all features and operation and insure that we fully understood everything. I would highly recommend this sales consultant and also recommend this dealership to anyone considering purchasing a Ford vehicle.

When I first went in, I was a little overwhelmed by the whole car buying process. I had only done it once before, but this was the first time I was buying new. Marie Hamilton spotted me on the lot and took great care of me. I had explained I had found the perfect car already, a 2014 manual Ford Fusion that was sitting on the lot. She brought me inside and worked everything out with ease. Never once did I feel pressured or too nervous. She is great at keeping you feeling relaxed and at home. Marie mad the experience amazing and was very personable. She is a great asset to Herb Chambers and the Ford brand. Definitely ask for her when you stop in!

She was not pushy and was pleasant to work with. I MUST also say that Edgar Rivera (finance manager) was the best !!! He was such a nice person to deal with and helped me out a lot. Worst experience everAfter salesman Aaron William's treatment to us, we ended up leasing from somewhere else. It was too bad as we loved the focus more than any toyota, however after Aaron had promised us a specific deal not only verbally, but in writing the day before, and then we drove an hour again to sign the deal, he claimed the written sheet we brought in from the day before was not the original deal he promised. Not only was he not able to uphold his word, but was unwilling to compromise. This felt fairly shady and backhanded to us.In addition, the manager never said one word to our face. This was very different from all the other dealerships we went to where the managers were actively working with us in understanding the deals available.Aaron also talked to one of our familymember's on the phone the night before we came and then complained about them to our face when we came in the next day. That is never appropriate no matter how "annoying" or "stuck up" he may have felt they were. In addition to being grossly unprofessional in other ways as well, he seriously tried to sell us the ford focus because it had 4 ABS breaks on all the tires- this was not the most impressive selling point, but provided a nice laugh for us in an otherwise terrible experience.As a previous reviewer had mentioned- this was a true bait and switch dealership.In all it was the worst experience we have ever had in an dealership and as long time leasers we will certainly continue our business elsewhere.

After a miserable run around at a competing dealership, I called Herb Chambers looking for a 2013 F-150 for my small business. What a difference. Tom Quirk arranged to get exactly what I wanted rather than giving me a hard sell to take what was in inventory. George Asare handled the details of the sale, financing and registration, and I know he worked hard to make it all go smoothly for me. They both did. I highly recommend this team. I bought a new 2014 Fusion Hybrid. I got the car I wanted, which was not in inventory, so they found it and brought it to me. The sales experience was the easiest I have ever had. I got what I wanted, at a fair price, and NO HASSLES! They worked with me to get the price level I could afford, gave me a fair trade in value on my old car, and it was all so easy. Why can't all car dealers and salesmen be this good? I went to several other dealers and got so tired of being hammered on, I started getting rude back to them. At Herb Chambers, I was treated with respect and they were genuinely nice to me. As long as this new Ford holds up ok, I will buy more cars from Ford at Herb Chambers. So far so good, got the most for my money, and everything is going very well. I have to say, my first car was a 65 Ford Mustang, and then a 68 Ford Galaxy which I really liked, back in the day. Ford and GM suffered from some Quality of Design issues for quite a while after that, so I went foreign to the competition that I felt produced better cars. This new Fusion was part of a comparison shopping plan to try to find the best car for the money. I avoided GM cars due to my many BAD experiences with their cars, because they can't seem to keep a transmission working in their cars or their trucks. Talk about "Fall Apartitis!" I looked at Toyota and Nissan but the prices for the cars were too high, the standard features were minimal, and the gas mileage wasn't there either. SO I tried Ford, and I got the best bang for the buck. I am impressed at how much better the Ford Vehicles are today, and with more standard features in every trim level, and better prices, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Even the Consumer reports rates them as a best buy Hybrid. If Ford keeps this excellent trend up, I will buy another one in 3 years when I trade this one in. I am a Happy customer!

Stay away from this dealership!!! I received a 2014 Ford Flex with defects that the dealer prep. and saleman doing the deliver ignored. Had the Flex back in the service dept. less than 14 hrs. after taking delivery. They couldn't fix the problem but did promise me a car when they going to fix it because it would take them a whole day to disassemble the interior of my brand new car to fix it. Over 2 1/2 weeks later and after many calls to the service and parts dept. I find that they have received a part that needs to be replace, but they never called me to bring it in. When they finally made my appointment and I go it, they have no idea of the promise of a car the service manager made to me and try to charge a rental car to my credit card. I leave with my car because they lied to me on my first visit and they are not going to profit from their screw up. Since then I have been trying to contact the Service Manager the General Manager and the owner of the dealership via email, website web forms and telephone. All my emails are returned undeliverable to the email addressed they provided me. Everytime I call I get a "he's unabvailable" response. Every web form results in a sales email trying to sell me another car. No way am I ever buying another car from this parade of fools.Stay away from this dealership for new car purchases and service!!!

One suggestion though for the second time in a row the billing folks hadn't looked up our Master Service Contract prior to printing our bill so we were billed for the service and then had to explain that we have the Ford Master contract for 6 years, looking it up, then reprinting the bill. Needless. The billing dept. needs to check this for each customer, particularly for those with a newer (under three years old) car.

Each time I purchase an automobile from Herb Chambers, the customer service is great. The salesperson that I see each time has been there for quite some time and I like that aspect. I like knowing who I am going to be talking to about a new vehicle. He makes the buying process extremely painless and quickly. As far as repairs, I was not notified when a particular part had arrived at the service area. Other than that, I have always had great service there. The facility is always very clean.

I bought a brand new Ford Edge 2013. The sales department was great and I loved my car until it started squeaking and has not stopped. My less than one year old Edge now squeaks for less than a minute daily. The squeaks have increased in frequency to almost every time I start the car and put it in drive/reverse. The service department, under new management as of September 2013, told me the daily squeak was normal" and that if I was a more aggressive driver I would probably not have this problem. The squeak first started after an oil change at Herb Chambers Ford. At that time I also had the tires rotated (I have been told that this is coincidental). Also of note, during that same oil change they forgot to reset my oil sensor. Since then I have brought my car back a number of times to try to get the squeaking to stop, but so far nothing has worked. The old service manager was willing to do whatever it took to get rid of the squeak. The new service manager is unwilling to help and has told me that I am stuck with this problem. Since bringing my car (under the new service manager) in to the repair shop this past week it seems to squeak more...it now squeaks for longer and almost every time I start my car. This squeak is both loud and long enough to be noticeable, annoying, and embarrassing. They believe that it is the brakes and rotors, however even if I change the brakes and rotors (meaning I pay for new out of my own pocket) there is only a 50% chance the squeak would go away. I am still trying to solve this problem with minimal (if any) help from the people at Herb Chambers Ford. I have asked for phone numbers, extensions, and told that I will be contacted by a Ford representative by 10/5/13 and have not. I would encourage anyone who is considering a Ford Edge to think about a different car and possibly a different company because apparently the squeak is "normal" and a permanent problem.

Easiest car buying experience I've ever had. My salesman Paul scannell was great. Absolutely no sales pressure. Got me the deal I wanted. Only problem was one of the tires had a bubble on the side wall. They replaced it but being a used car it had worn tires. So now I have one brand new tire and three very worn tires. I only asked them to replace a pair just so I could at least rotate them in the future but they refused. I have always been told to replace tires in pairs if they are very worn. So after arguing for a while they said I could pay for the second tire at cost. I thought that was absolutely rediculous. So they said they would get back to about replacing a pair. 3 hours later they give my car back with one new tire. Not happy. They would not replace the other tire. This experience will make me not use this dealership again. But like I said my salesman Paul scannell was great and the tire problem had nothing to do with him

It was her professionalism and outstanding customer service that won me over other Ford Dealership.There were some hiccups at first because of my status, so I talked to Marie and she was very emphatic and patient. She offered me some alternative solutions and escalated my case to George, the sales manager, he was able to immediately take things over and get it under control. I really liked George's approach to business. He was upfront, honest, and straightforward. Whatever George promised me, he kept his words and delivered it. The absolute worst experience I have ever had in my 20 years of buying cars. The management is horribly rude and unprofessional! Mike F. (used car manager) is untruthful and Thomas Q.(general manager) is rude and uncaring. We purchased a used Ford edge from this dealer on June 21st 2013, it is now July 3rd and we still do not have the vehicle we paid for due to the fact the Herb Chambers sold us a car they did not have the title to and did not disclose this fact to us until 5 days after the purchase. The dealer, along with the corporate office is unwilling to do anything for us besides changing the date on the paperwork for the warranty, I could not even get them to throw in a couple oil changes or floor mats for our two weeks of wasted time! Terrible experience, false advertising! They featured a dvd entertainment system in their ad for this vehicle(3 pictures and in the text) and when we test drove the car it did not even work, we were told it was aftermarket so not their problem! I strongly recommend staying away from this dealership. **update** called Herb Chambers corporate office shortly after posting the above review, was told I would receive a call back as there was another customer being assisted. I received a call back and was informed that their social media person had seen my post and that now it would be best that we cancelled the transaction. So I guess I am not allowed to voice my displeasure at the poor service of this dealership. I have filed a complaint with the MA Attorney Generals' office and they informed me a dealer had to produce the title within 10 days per MA law, which they have not done as it has been 13 days now. Also I have contacted a lawyer in this matter. Nicole form Corporate also expected me to return the Loaner car they gave us yesterday (which we were told we had till Friday) right now which I would have to drive up from CT and have no way to get back. I will be telling every person I meet to not deal with this company, and I will do my best to get the dealership on the list of businesses that USCG members are warned against doing business with, as I am an active duty member of the USCG stationed in Boston. I again strongly recommend avoiding this dealership.

I was very skeptical about buying a car at a dealership...the horror stories, etc...I was treated well from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. The numbers dance... we danced for a bit, but as much as I was determined to pay x amount, they were determined to get me into my car....they were respectful and courteous. Their salesperson, Mike Mangrum was very helpful and at delivery time, jumped in my new car and showed me how things worked, and even synced my phone for me...that's great service....no b.s. here Just nice people with a good selection of nice cars.

This story is so long I cannot even begin to start it. Bought a used car advertised as certified (was not). On the way home date of delivery heard noises , radiator steaming and fluids leaking from underneath. Called immediately and took back service promised to fix it. Replaced transmission. Each time they supposedly fixed something it was not or they would cause more damage in the process. After almost 3 months 13 trips, car still leaking, transmission still not right, car not starting intermittingly. I called headquarters an they agreed to buy the car back under Mass law. I still lost money. The used car manager Mike was ignorant and useless. Tom Quick General manager was as bad. Service Department totally unable to fix anything. After buying cars for 40 years I have never had such a terrible experience.

I previously bought every car from Duddie ford before buying my first ford edge from Herb Chambers when he took over the dealership from Duddie. I have had great experience all around with the staff at the Westboro facility. Especially George and Edgar who helped greatly with the purchase of my car. She responded very quickly to all my questions and emails. I was being very picky about the specific car I wanted and she went out of her way to find it for me. It was the price quote and her customer service (more the service) that made me want to go down to the lot. Once I arrived I worked with George who was also very pleasant, greeting me the moment I stepped out of my car. George was extremely helpful, honest, and up front through the final negotiations and sale. We closed the deal very quickly since there wasn't ANY of the typical run-around you get from most dealerships, just great customer service and a great attitude. Everyone that I dealt with at Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough was amazing and completely destroyed all my previous notions of shady car dealers. I purchased a Ford Escape at the Herb Chambers Ford dealership in Westborough on March 16th. Due to some issues in getting the title from the bank, it took about 10 days before I was able to take the car home, but I feel like my salesman, Arthur Rousakos, was making every effort to expedite the process. Banks work on their own time. The buying process was great. Art showed me a few Escapes and I didn't feel pressured at all. We went over what I was willing to pay, what i would need for my trade, and between Art, his sales manager Mike, and Edgar in financing, we made the deal happen in the price range I wanted, with a reasonable amount of negotiation. And I feel like I got a great deal on a great 2009 Escape Limited with low mileage and all of the frills. The only negative is the ridiculous policy around the keyless entry code for the drivers side door. It is a used vehicle, and therefore the 5 digit code cards are no longer with the vehicle. Many Escape models have this number printed somewhere else in the vehicle, but the 2009 version does not. Art tracked down the previous owner, but they did not have the number anymore. I was told that that the only way to get this number would be to hook the car up to the diagnostic computers in the service department (apparently only Ford machines will do this). Of course this would cost me a half hour labor, on a job that I'm willing to bet doesn't take more than 5 minutes tops. Above all, I feel it is the right thing to do to provide me with this number as a part of purchasing the car. Had I known that I would not have access to the code prior to taking delivery, I would have said get me the code, and I'm quite sure it wouldn't have been an issue. But once I have the car, it's my problem. Oh well, live an learn. The bottom line is that unless I'm willing to fork over the cash, I no way of getting that code. Overall, I was fairly happy with the buying experience at Herb Chambers because I got a great deal, but the who keyless entry code thing left a bit of a negative mark in the whole thing. I have been in the market for a new car for a while. I decided on a Ford Focus for a variety of reasons. I have been putting off the purchase for a while because I really dread the whole car buying process. I stopped at Herb Chambers Ford a week ago. As I wandered around the lot I was not "attacked" by salesman. One gentleman asked if I needed any help and told me to give a yell if I did. I went inside and was approached by Paul Scannell. We talked about what I was looking for. We test drove a Focus but it was a higher end model than I wanted. I didn't need all the bells and whistles. They did not have any of the S series in stock but had some coming in. I decided to purchase one. Paul guided me through the process very painlessly. My meeting with their finance person was also pleasant and painless. My car arrived. I picked it up and drove off without having to spend half the day at the dealership. I certainly would recommend them.

I recently was looking for a newer car and saw a 2012 Hyundai Veloster on the dealer's website. I went in and took it for a test drive. It was a great car and the sales staff were excellent. I met with Edgar Rivera and did the financials. Everything went smoothly and I was pleasantly treated by everyone.I returned to have the car treated to maintain the paint and interior and their work was excellent. I noticed a minor ding in my door after geeting the car home the first night and Edgar arranged to have it fixed.Overall, the sales and service I received were excelllent and I look forward to returning to them in the future.

I had wanted to upgrade my 2005 escape for a brand new model, i sought out three local ford delerships and Herb Chambers were quick to respond and courteous over the phone. I went to the delership test drove the 2013 escape and loved it. After doing all the paper work i had to temporarily walk away. I went back last week and drove off in my first Brand New vehicle. I was greeted by a pleasant Harry who introduced me to my saleswoman, Nichole. After about 20 minutes fimamcimg paperwork was on its way and i signed about an hour after that. The fincing guy Mark Eber really showed how the company strives for customer satisfation; jumping through hoops to get me a lower monthly payment. Overall the deLership was clean and calm and everything seemed well odrganozed, i will definatley shop with Herb Chambers again

Worst ever customer service ever at Herb Chambers. Poor accounting department!!!My partner and I purchased a car in December of 2012. This place is quick to take your money.When I went to register the car in NYS the forms that were filled out by the dealership were all wrong and I had to redo all of the forms! And to make matters worse the check that was suppose to cover the tax and fees was made out for the wrong amount so the DMV agent told me that I had to either pay for it myself or have the dealership cut another check. So I just paid for it myself totaling $1,300.00. ( I did not want to take another day off of work to wait at the DMV all day!)Once I got back to my office I notified Paul who was our sales person. He told me to send the check and a copy of the registration and he will send the check totaling $1,300.00 the same day. I was like thank you very much. (IF only that was what happened not so) This company feels that they can get away with this by holding my money or delaying the check (it does not take a week to get something in the mail from MASS) and that is not cool. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday came and still no check. I called and emailed several times and keep getting the run around and lies from the following people. Paul S. Sales Consultant Mike F Sales Manager (very rude and made me feel like he was talking to an animal on the street)Edgar Finance Manger So please stay AWAY FROM ALL HERB CHAMBERS DEALERSHIPS. I found a used car I liked on the website and contacted them. Went to the dealership the next day, looked at the car and was sure I wanted to purchase it. I met with Mike Falco and began the process. He introduced me to Ilian Jano and the the entire sales process was smooth and the service was excellent. When I went to do the financing process that also was excellent , Edgar Rivera handled all the paperwork with ease and left me with a great feeling and the proud owner of a super nice new used car. I had not been car shopping in over 5 years, and the entire staff at Westborough Ford were courteous and happy to help me out.

We went in prepared, I had a price that we were going to pay on the car and a value for the trade. The price they wanted for the car was within a few hundred dollars of my calculations and they offered $800 MORE on the trade than we expected we would be able to get. These folks were really great all around.

From the start, there was some confusion over a vehicle that I had interest in. After several phone calls and a trip to Westborough things started to come together.The staff at the dealership are service oriented and attentive, down to a friendly door greeting (that is a big deal with me). I worked with Lou and Mike the floor manager from start to finish. Lou was very helpful throughout the entire experience. I know that many things were out of his control but his proffesionalism and treatment is exemplatory. I like the guy. Mike also was proffesional and clearly knows his job. I like Mike too. After reading some of these reviews I think people just don't get the business part of it. A consumer's job is to do the best for yourself and the dealership is going to do the best for themselves. PERIOD. Hopefully, at the end of the day both sides are satisfied. At the end of the day, I was satisfied with the truck and deal I got. I will recommend this dealership to friends, many of which have trucks.And, Edgar is a very proffesional and helpful finance guy. I like him too. Even with perfect credit, the rate he got me was outstanding.

I had been in the market for a new car for maybe a year since my Focus was 10+ years old, however I saw this used 2012 on cars.com with more toys then I could afford on a new one for what I was willing to pay for new. Since I typically only drive 8000 miles a year that was ok. I was extremely pleased with the "after sell" They simply laid out my options and the cost of each one, no browbeating. Of the cars I have owned over the last 35 years, this is only the fourth one I love. It is only the second I have give a nickname.

They do a great job managing expectations in terms of how long the service will take. They're also not pushy, and explain why they recommend certain service items. I also appreciate the car wash and vaccum, especially since my car has roof racks and I can't take it to other "automatic" washes. In general, I've found the customer service here to be better than that received when I take my car to the downtown Boston locale (closer to home). Since I'm out in the Westborough area for work, I've been making it a point to get all service work done there. Would highly recommend this dealership for service.

I purchased a 2011 Ford Escape from Derek Duval back in September of 2011. He was a great salesman and very honest. The vehicle was dirty inside and looked like it was used as a demo for a while. I was told it would be all cleaned up nice and ready to go the next day. When I went to pick it up, it looked the same as it did the day before. Derek told me that he had to touch it up and felt bad that it was not done properly by the dealership. I took it anyways figuring that I could do it myself. Bad choice. I recently returned to the dealership for evidence of a leak somewhere in the vehicle that caused alot of moisture on the floor of the drivers side. First of all, I was told there was no leak and that the carpet was dry. The carpet was wet before I aired it out all weekend, which happened at least 6 times throughout the year. They decided to do a leak test and behold the sunroof was misaligned which caused the carpet to be damp. I was also told that the carpet would be cleaned but not replaced. When I went to pick it up, the carpet was left dirty and damp. They continue to tell me that the carpet is not wet or had any signs of mildew. I was extremely agitated and made the manager feel it and smell it. Then I was told they could take the entire rug out, clean it and let it dry in the bay for a few days then come back to pick it up. The inside of the car had grease on the seat and right along the side panel of the drivers side. The manager took it back and only cleaned part of it. I told the manager I will never purchase a car there again. I should have never drove off that lot with a new vehicle looking the way it did.

Through Edmunds.com I received an offer on a transit connect from Trista Sedoma. Upon researching other dealers I decided to go to Chambers Ford of Westborough as their pricing was decent and according to Trista (who I called and confirmed their existence before my trip) the two vehicles we discussed were still in stock to be viewed. With this, I made the hour and a half trip up and was ready to view the two vehicles make a decision and purchase a vehicle. However, all of this was about to fall apart. Upon getting there I asked for Trista but was given George Asare, who said he could help. When I told him I wanted Trista as she had all my information he told me he would get her. He then came back and told me that he would have to show me the vehicles as she was busy with someone. We then walked out to look at the vehicles and he started the usual sales pitch and questioning about me to which I told him Trista had all that info. He then proceeded to tell me that he needed the info as she was not a salesperson and he had to help me. She "only does internet and just answers email". None of which was ever told to me, and if this is the case, why does she quote customers? Upon getting to the vehicles he then informed me that the two vehicles I was looking for were not there but I could look at others. I then stated that if that was the case I was not too happy as I confirmed with Trista and came from over a hour away. He then stated that they were probably somewhere else or "at the other property". Now I was confused do they not have them or are they missing? Upon going back in and George starting the sales pitch and the "we have other but they are a bit more", i told him that if the vehicles I was looking for were not there I needed to know. He then told me that in fact they don't have them. I told him I was very upset as this was a waste of my time. He told me that he "had something else to do" and walked off.Stay away from this dealer, they don't care about customers and like to bait and switch.

On June 22 2012 I visited Herb Chamber Ford Westboro. I did not expect to leave with a car and was very sure my credit was not great. I arrived with my two kids and husband and we were welcomed right away. My kids were very comfortable thanks to all the staff. Paul and Edgar Rivera gave me a once in a lifetime experience. Beyond disappointing. I had been in contact with internet sales Lisa Dennis was quoted a price for a Fusion. I explained to her that I would have difficulty getting in for a week or so, she said no problem. I make an appointment and Lisa is not in today, but Kathleen Smith can help you. Kathleen then went through the usual song and dance. I told her about the price and the lease that I wanted and spoke to Lisa about, had my car appraised and came back with the numbers. Let me preface this with the fact that I am an informed buyer, I know well in advance what my car is worth and what the dealer pays for a car. i have no problem with a dealership making some money. That being said they offered me 11k for a car that was worth 14-15. Told me that they had to discount the trade in $1200 because a mileage discrepancies on my carfax, they said it is a lot of work and time to get that fixed. I found a link on carfax and filled out one online form, 12 hrs later they corrected an obvious clerical error. Herb Chambers LIED about the amount of work and time it takes to fix an issue on carfax. They tried to make a quick $1200. They then said I had hail damage on my roof, none existed. Then Kathleen tells me that the quoted car and rebates expired and that the car would now cost 24k. I laughed and told her that I would need the keys back to my car, she then starts with let me get my manager, I said make sure you bring my keys back with him. He tries to smooth things over with well what would it take to get you in this car. I said it would have taken you as a dealership to be honest and not try to make $7k on me. I told them that they were not even in the bill park and that their offer is insulting. I requested my keys again and said I will not ask for them again. They handed them over and they lost a sale because of their arrogance and desire to screw a customer. it's funny because they did the exact oppisite of what Lisa Dennis said in every email that I still have....Herb Chambers will not be beaten in service, selection and OH YEAH...Price...here a hint Lisa and the rest of Herb Chambers in Westboro...Framingham Ford beat you on everything, you have a lot to learn about customer service.David D.... a very happy Framingham Ford 2012 SEL Fusion Lessee

I started looking for a vehicle when I was involved in a head on collision that totaled my car. Before I went in I called first to make sure they had a vehicle for me. I spoke with Lisa who was extremely helpful. She was able to search inventory and even give me pricing through email. When it was finally time to come in and test drive, Lisa paired me up with Derek Duval. This was an amazing move. Derek had all the answers to my questions. His product knowledge is awesome. I was looking at three or four different cars. Derek was able to work with me to narrow my search down to two vehicles. After that we went on a few test drives. Derek explained all of the features and benefits that pertained to what I was looking for. He didn't waste time going over the NAV system since I didn't really care about that. Instead he went over all of the safety features! This was obviously a huge concern to me considering the recent accident. Once I selected the right car we then worked on the right price. This is the part that I hate, as with most people. Derek made that part easy as well. He laid everything on the table and explained all of the payment options. Once I selected which one worked for me, its was over. All of the stress washed away. He made it that simple. I was then sent in to Finance and I worked with Edgar. Again, another easy to work with guy. He, like Derek, laid everything out and gave ME the option of selecting an extended warranty and other ad-dons. I made sure to pick up GAP as I did not have it on the previous car. Within an hour I was done with Edgar. When I came out of the office, Derek had the vehicle ready! Completely cleaned and gassed up ready to go. I couldn't believe it. That was it, all over. No headache or arguing. This team was extremely efficient and made this transaction as smooth as possible. The next day Derek called to check in on me and to make sure everything was great with the vehicle. It of course was. Thank you immensely Derek,Edgar and Lisa!

Very different when it came time to 'negotiate'. They tried to sell us a new vehicle with $2000.00 Navigation system that we did not want, as well as not being flexible in the pricing.We left very disappointed and upset for traveling so far ! We Received a phone call the next morning Lowering the price by $3000.00 !!Had this been done while we were there, it is quite possible we could have made a dealas well as not wasting our time at another HC Ford Dealer in Braintree

I called Herb Chambers Ford one morning to look at a used Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I am very skeptical of car dealerships, but all in all, my experience there was very positive. When I arrived, the car was already parked out front. Kathy was our sales rep and she was great to work with. She was honest (most importantly!), knowledgeable, and very patient in answering all of my questions. The only surprise to me was that the price was fixed -- they do not negotiate on pre-owned vehicles. However, I thought the price was quite reasonable for the car I was getting so I went ahead and put down my deposit. I came back a few days later with my husband and toddler to pick up the car and was very happy with the service we received -- the process was smooth and there were no unexpected costs. In addition, everyone at the dealership smiled and/or played with our daughter. After we left, we realized that the car had come without floor mats. I called Kathy, who let us know that if we purchased them ourselves and sent a receipt, then Herb Chambers would send us a check for the cost of them.

I am a fast internet shopper who likes to find a vehicle and purchase it. I didn't see it on the website so I contacted Jason Arruda to help me find a 2011 new F150. He was always quick to respond, very friendly, and extremely knowledgable on the product. Unfortunately they did not have much left for inventory for 2011 trucks because I would have purchased a vehicle from him. He did everything possible and knowing he could not find me a 2011 in his inventory he understood. I would absolutely try him again. He was one of the best guys I spoke to in a search to buy a truck.

Walked in to look at trucks. Was greated promptly and immediately subject to what was basicly a survey a for my personal info. What do you like about your current vehicle? Do you owe on it? I was 15 minutes and I had not looked at a truck. The let me speak to my manager game is in full play here. After my quiz the sales rep had to speak to the manager. Not having my basic work truck I was told they could do a search for me. I went here expecting a large selection. All they had was the big dollar super dutys. She wanted me to drive one of those to get a feel for the truck. How is a extended cab 4WD going to simualte a 2WD standard cab?? My second vist here in 2 years and my last. Would bum a ride to work before buying here.

We went to Herb Chambers Ford to look at a used Mercury. The car was not for us so we asked George what else he had in our price range. He showed us a used Impala that had every option we told him we were looking for. After driving it he asked us if the vehicle worked for us before we went a step further. I told him that there are a ton of Impalas out there so he would have to "wow" us with the price. We ended buying the car because he was able to get the car down to our price. I highly recommend this dealership, one of the smoothest experiences buying a car that I've ever had.

Rashad was well informed about the new cars I asked to see. He was very flexible about letting me test drive the new cars, as well as the used BMW in which I was interested. I had been to three other dealerships that afternoon, Nissan Marlborough, Automax, and Westborough Toyota. Rashad was the most informed and most professional of all the sales persons. Aaron Williams was probably the finest car salesman I have ever met in my 60 years. I could tell that he was concerned that I got exactly the vehicle I was looking for and explained expertly the features of the various trucks. I was going to wait for the new EcoBoost engine, but Aaron made me realize that with my low mileage I would be just as well off with the large 8 cylinder because the gas savings would be minimal. Since the Ecoboost will be new in 2012, and even though I trust Ford to the utmost and my last 6 vehicles have been F150 Lariats, I was glad that Aaron put my needs in perspective. I saved the upcharge of the Ecoboost system and to be perfectly honest with you, I did not want to be a test case for the new engine design. Aaron is a fine gentleman and since I am slightly un-technical and not computer savy, even offered, after the sale, to come with me and teach me about the navigation system so that I can use it more efficiently and offered to work with me hooking up a blue tooth. I must say, buying a car from Herb Chambers and Aaron was a stressless and most enjoyable afternoon.Edgar Rivera offered me a full list of after market accessories and did an excellent job in explaining the features and pricing of each and everyone. I consequently put on the wheel and tire extended warranty, and I also opted for the factory wrap plus preferred warranty. I think the one thing I may still contact Egar about is the 5 year key replacement option. All in all, two great gentlemen. I wish I had two of the same caliber working with me. Thank you, Herb, Aaron and Edgar.

Went in to buy a new car - they took the order but a few days later called to say they could not find the base model I wanted. Kept trying to get me to move to a pricier car. They then offered to sell me a used car (slightly used exact same model/year) for the same price we had negotiated like I was some sort of idiot. The only good thing is that they did process the return of my deposit promptly.

Aaron Williams was extraordinarily helpful, and in a very slightly different universe we would have happily driven off in one of his cars. Where to begin with this disaster of a dealership?Special ordered a vehicle on 03/27/11. Promised delivery in about 6 weeks, IN WRITING.9 weeks later, still no vehicle. Planned on taking new vehicle(2012 Ford Mustang) on Memorial Day Vacation. Scratch that. Personally drove back and forth to the dealership half a dozen times over a 2 week period to get my car. Paid for the car at the beginning of May. No vehicle by the end of May, even though ordered the car in March. Lied to on numerous occasions by the staff at Herb Chambers Ford and once, even laughed at by Jason(Service Manager). I have never been treated this poorly in a dealership before. I would never, ever, ever recommend this dealership to anyone. It is terrible......

Kathie Smith, George Muriaki, and Edgar Rivera sold me a Ford Fusion SEL for my wife's birthday. The interaction was low-pressure, quick and respectful and I left happy with the terms.Kathie worked with my insurance company to smooth out a couple of wrinkles and was able to bring the car in early and got it registered in time for her birthday. She also offered to connect my phone to the car whenever it was convenient, which was highly appreciated.The dealership facilitated my visits to other Herb Chambers dealerships carrying competing brands suggesting that they were more interested in getting me the right car than pushing me to buy a Ford because that happened to be what they were selling.I would go to Herb Chambers again, particularly if the car is reliable and the dealership continues to be responsive if/when there are issues.

We are enjoying our car very much. It's nice not having to worry when the next breakdown is going to happen, we have some peace of mind with that and our coverage! Right after we bought the Kia, we had that big snow storm in January and my brother, Richard went to work the night before and there wasn't much snow. It was a whole different story when he got out of work the next morning, it was a Nor'easter and closing in on blizzard conditions. It did take him over two hours to get home, driving carefully but, he did get home. The amazing part was getting home. He had to wait for the parking lot at work to be cleared enough to leave and he had no problem with the car starting right up. Some of his co-workers had to wait for their cars to warm up and windows to clear, not our car, it heated up right away and windows were clear! He left the parking lot and headed for 128 for a short distance before he gets off for route 20 to come home. The amazing thing about that stretch was there was only one lane of travel and as he was driving he noticed the cars behind him were all merging into one lane behind him! They had been all over the highway but we figured the size of the tail lights on our car looked liked truck tail lights so everyone was following the 'truck' up ahead! Once he got on route 20, it wasn't plowed very well and with the intensity of the snow coming down, but that little tank made it through! When he came home and was telling our dad and myself, we knew we had an awesome car to go along with the great deal we got. So now our Kia is known as 'Tank' for getting through her first test of courage!

You will understand when you read this review.For the last three weeks my husband and I have been shopping for a new pickup. After looking at several makes and models, we came to the conclusion that Ford was the way to go! My husband loved the F150 pickup and wanted work truck, with an 8-foot bed, V8 and instead of four-wheel drive really wanted two-wheel drive. We had gone to several dealerships including a few Ford dealerships, and every salesperson would not listen to the fact that my husband wanted a two-wheel drive and insisted we get a four-wheel vehicle. Last week we decided to head over to your Ford dealership and were met by Michael Mangrum who took us through one of the most pleasant and informative car buying experiences we can remember. He was not only one of the most pleasant car salesmen we had ever met, but one of the most knowledgeable. Michael really went out of his way to help us find exactly what we wanted. We bought a Ford Escape Hybrid 2010, and I have to give credit for this purchase to Mike Mangrum.We did not look into hybrids but after driving one at his suggestion and hear the gas mileage and all the great features, we are very happy with the purchase.He is very professional, and very knowledgeable of car features.His explanations about navigation system, that we added extra, came in very handy.Had very pleasant experience with dealership so far, and would consider trying their repair shop, when needed.Would definetly recommend to others to try out HC Westboro, and also look into hybrids, can't beat the gas mileage!!I like Ford's Voice activated SYNC system, and navigation system, very nice.

I am a snow bird, which means I spend half my time in Florida and half my time in massachusetts. The car I wanted was at their dealership and when I saw it I knew it was exactly what I was looking for and they made it happen. We purchased the Flex and Michael Mangrum was great to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable about vehicle and was able to answer all of our questions without hesitation. When you pick up your vehicle, he spends a lot of time with you going over all the benefits of the vehicle (no need for an owners manual later). He was very polite and made us feel very comfortable. Called and got Bob Nicholas on the phone. Bob was great on the phone and provided the answers to all my questions. Bob was even better in person when I went down that night to see the car after work. He had the car parked out front and ready for a test drive. No looking for the car or more information, he had it all there and ready. First - have you ever gone on line and pushed the "ask for a quote button' with the dealer internet team - once I had decided on the kind of vehicle I did this for several dealers, and Shawn was one of a few out of a dozen who actually sent me a real quote. Herb Chambers was one of the few that actually provided a quote rather than use it as a teaser/bait and switch. So I immediatley appreciated their straight forward and honest approach. Mike was a great salesperson. Throughout the process he was helpful - and while certainly pointing out the higlights and benefits of the vehicle I had my eye on, I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. I really apprecaite the "here are some things to consider" approach at Herb Chambers, it seems to permeate the organziation. Even Edgar in Finance was extremely helpful - not pressuring but showing me some things that helepd me put together apackage that served my needs. When I went to pick up my car I thought it would be here's the keys - have a ncie day - but Mike actually spent as much time making sure I understood everything as they did selling. At that point it was pure customer service and I knew I had bought from the right dealer. Look - they are in business to sell cars - that's how they earn their money - but with their customer service oriented approach vs. the bait and switch/pressure tactics approach I surmise that is how Herb Chambers built a succesful buiness. There are probably times they just cant work a deal - but that the experince is such a positive one that customers keep them in mind for the future. I know that the next time I buy a car I will start there, and absolutely recommend that anyone looking for a Ford check out Herb Chambers in Westborough, MA.

I have to say I worked in the auto arena (body work) for a few years. I am familiar with all the tactics. I am now in a different (sales) industry. Steve was unlike all the rest. Typically it is the "let me talk to my manager 3 times, or you will not do better anywhere else He took time to understand my needs, worked on finding that car from another dealership, realized this was not my first time buying a car, and gave me a great price. What is interesting is I walked out of the dealership without buying, he said I know you need to get the best price, that is the best I can do, I hope to see you again, it was nice meeting you." Does this sound typical??? NOOOO Usually it is "speak to my manager..., we are having a contest and I am one sale away from winning"....if you walk out the price is void." For whatever reason this guy is very different from anyone else I talked to, it was the best price and there was no pressure from him at all. Do your research, and go see this guy, you will be happy.

I'd been searching for a good used Subaru Baja for a couple of years. The ones I'd found were 1. Expensive and 2. Well used. Finally, I gave up and bought a new Toyota Tacoma 4x4 pickup truck. That is/was a great vehicle, but a bit big for my parking spot and needs. Even after buying the Tacoma, I'd still do an occasional Internet (AutoTrader.com, Craigslist.com) search for a Baja. One night, after coming home from a vacation, a low-mileage Baja showed up at Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough, MA. I'd always equated "big" (ie, Herb Chambers' Empire) with "bad" and high pressure. However, I was heading from home (Newburyport, MA) to Connecticut for a weekend and convinced my wife to swing by the dealership for a look at the Baja. After a call to the dealership to make sure the Baja was still available, we took a detour to "drop in." I forget the name of the person I was supposed to ask for, but wound up being connected with Mike Mangrum. We drove the car, liked it, and were impressed when Mike went to Edmunds.com, the same place I'd done my pricing. Used Bajas are ridiculously expensive, especially if you're lucky enough to find a low-mileage, turbocharged version. Anyway, we got to a point where we were $1000 apart when Mike said, "Did you by any chance by an extended warranty with the Tacoma? If you did, you're probably eligible for a refund." I had bought the warranty because I'm a low-mileage driver who tends to keep a vehicle for a long time. The deal was done. At pick up, Mike buzzed through the paperwork and inspection process. I've now had the car for almost seven months and like it more today than when I bought it. I've had it serviced and replaced wiper blades. That's it. I feel as though I bought a car and made a friend.

I went to herb chambers to trade in 2 cars to get a new or used truck i new what i was looking for when i got to the dealership i was greeted by Mike on the lot i told him i was just looking and he asked me if he could help me with his search i figured why not it couldnt hurt right man i was right i told him what i was looking for and they had the right truck for me it was a used 2008 king ranch loaded had everything i wanted and more he showed me all the features it had explained everything in full detail he got me so excited i had to take it out for a test drive we went inside and got all my info and then he took all my information on my 2 trades even though i only had one there with me while we were one the test drive he had his used car guy and sales manager work up some numbers for my trade and the truck i wanted to buy when we came back from the test drive he offered me coffee and a tour of the building and he even introduced me to the service team and manager ive never owned a ford before he even showed me all the reviews that ford was getting how could i go wrong he was an outstanding guy new everything i wanted and everything about the truck inside and out and wasnt pushy which i found to be a great thing nothings worse than being pressured into buying something you dont want to buy he wasnt like that once we sat down and worked the numbers out i knew this was the truck for me i bought the truck and it didnt stop there i was paying 1200 a month for both cars he got me down to 600 a month thats a huge savings in my pocket he even paid for my first oil change he took care of my plates and sticker this would deff have to be the best car buying experience ive ever had and i have bought 4 or 5 cars in my life i have sent so many people to him who have said the same thing hes a great asset to your team and i will deff be calling him when i am ready to buy again he even paid for my first oil change how could i go wrong i love my truck and looking forward to see Mike again within the next year to buy my fiance a new ford fusion thanks Mike for all your help and everyone at herb chambers ford in Westborough for everything Alan

I needed to find a new place to take my car for service as the other service company did not do the services they claimed to do or tell me what services they recommended be done for the maintennace & upkeep of my car. I went to Herb Chambers Ford for my oil change. I sat with Chris Wagner, after asking what service I was there for and I told hom an oil change, he asked me when the last time my tires were rotated...Good question, as far as I knew they had never been done since I had new tires put on my car. Chris advised they should be rotated every other oil change. I was plea3ed to see that he was spending the time to give me some general knowlege of car care that I was looking for. Knowing nothing about cars or maintenance I relay on someone to give me some guidelines to keep my car running in tip top shape. Also after looking at my milage suggested the 60k service. I know preventative maintenace is key to a long lasting, hassle free car. I gladly agreed to have the services he suggested on my car. Gator the service manager came over to introduce himself and see that my service experience was a positive one. It was, the service was done quickliy for what I was there for and was very please that my car was vaccumed & washed. I have found my new service center! They did all that I was looking for, they suggested the services that needed to be done and their prices were reasonable. I did not feel as though they were suggesting services that were unnecessary, as that has happened to me in the past. I reccommend Herb Chambers Ford & Chris Wagner in service for all your service needs.

I checked on line for there car deals for the week.It said they had a Ford Fusion SE automatic for 17thousand and some change.When I e-mail they told me it was available but when I checked there stock number it said it was a standard. I then called Shawn Conners and asked her if it was an automatic. She said that no it was a mistake and was a standard but they had other cars. CAUTION - HERB CHAMBERS "INTERNET SALES" LIESI want to caution every potential buyer out there NOT to do business with Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough, particularly their supposed "internet sales" operation. I am a very particular buyer who had done a ton of research on the type of car I wanted and had narrowed my choices to a Ford Fusion, in a particular model level/price point (S). I then sent emails to several dealerships "internet" operations to get a sense of the pricing and availability they had. I corresponded with someone (who I am not sure actually exists as you will see below) at Herb Chambers called "Jose Navarro-Robles." I also received some emails from a supposed internet manager named Jean Oulette. After Jose and Jean had first failed to respond to my requests for a true price they were willing to sell at (instead preffering to try to set up a time for me to come in), "Jose" and I began to go back and forth on actual price. During this process, I was extremely specific about the exact model/trim level we were discussing. I was also concerned, since the online inventory for the dealership did not list the specific model I had, whether Herb Chambers would be able to do a deal or not for that car. "Jose" assured me that the vehicle was available and was simply in one of their (very large dealer network's) offsite storage sites. After negotiating on price, I sent confirmatory emails to set forth the price, all the fees that would be included, and also to ensure that I would be meeting with Jose himself to finalize the deal after test driving the cars. I also confirmed in writing that the car would be available for me to drive. I did all this because the dealership was 35 minutes from home and I would be taking my 8 months pregnant wife with me. I also did not want my arrival on site to be an opportunity to start all over with the negotiations I had already spent a good deal of time conducing online. Shortly before our arrival, approx. a 1/2 hour, "Jose" sent an email confirming our appointment time and saying he looked forward to meeting me. When I arrived, on Sunday April 25, 2010, however, it quickly became clear that everything I had been told, and confirmed in writing, was a pack of lies employed as part of a bait and switch sales tactic. First, when I arrived and asked for "Jose", various personnel became concerned and did not know what to do. Then, when I asked to meet with him, they sent out Jean Ouellette, who explained she was "Jose's boss" and that somehow he was not available. They claimed he had gone to lunch and left despite having confirmed his meeting with me approximately 1/2 hour before. I was almost ready to leave at that point, but she assured me they had the email trail and would honor the deal I reached with "Jose." She shuffled me off to another salesman, whose name I do not recall at this point but really had little involvement in the process. He told us he would go get the car for us to test drive. This salesman then headed out on the lot and we waited approximately 20 minutes while he huddled at the sales desk with other individuals, including sales manager Paul Ziffer. When this salesman returned, he introduced Ziffer, who tried to begin the bait and switch. He claimed that they did not have the particular model level I was looking for - the Ford Fusion S - in stock. When asked why "Jose" had told me multiple times that they did, he claimed it was very hard to keep track of inventory, implying in the 1/2 hour since Jose had told me the car would be available to drive it had somehow disappeared, despite computerized inventory. He then offered to show me a more expensive model, claiming that they could be "similarly aggressive" in pricing. In answer to my question of whether he could come close to the price we had agreed on for the Ford Fusion S, he said no. I simply did not want to pay more for the options, none of which I wanted, so was not interested in the pricier models. Thus I had been so precise in confirming the vehcile we were talking about. He then, ignoring my very pregnant wife sitting there and the fact I had told him that I was only interested in one model that I had come to drive/possibly buy and had now been told they did not have, kept suggesting we walk around the lot and see if there was something that would work for me. When I asked him point blank if he knew if he a Ford Fusion S, he backpedaled, as if one might magically appear on the lot. We had enough, so we got up and left. As many buyers do, I fully expected there would be negotiating over price, which "Jose" and I had gone back and forth on. I chose internet buying as a means to try to avoid the collosal waste of time that is the dealership runaround, and was very careful to confirm things, in an attempt to avoid just what happend. What I did not expect, and which is why I have written this review, is outright bold-faced lying, which is what I got from Herb Chambers and "Jose" (whose existence I am dubious of for the reasons described above). I caution all potential buyers to steer clear of the dishonest Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough.

A week ago I purchased a brand new Taurus SHO. Bill was the salesman. My brother purchased a new Ranger Sport for himself and Flex for his wife late last year. They dealt with Bill also. Bill and Jed were by far the two best sales associates I've dealt with in a long time. They let me take the SHO out for a test ride by myself while they were busy assisting others who were doing a trade in. Found the car to be nothing short of outstanding, supersceded only by the excellent work Bill and Jed did for me. Ended up buying the car and driving it home that night.Been self employed as an insurance broker/tax consultant for 32 years and worked for a Ford dealership before that. I found the entire dealeship staff to be knowledgable, friendly, and very helpful. This is especially true of my sales person, Mike Wing, who went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase, both before, during, and after the purchase. On subsequent visits, I've found the same to be true of the Service Department as well. I couldn't be more pleased with my this dealership, and my new Mustang GT. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a new vehicle.

I was traveling back from New Hampshire when my truck started losing power to a point where I could no longer drive it. Herb Chambers Ford was the closest dealer to where I had to park my truck for the night. I limped my truck to the dealer by around noon on Monday not knowing the extent of the problem and how long it would take to fix it. Having dealt with other dealers, I figured my truck would be there for the week and I would have to arrange getting my trailer home and get back up to Mass. sometime during the week to pick up my truck. The Service Manager along with Alan Arsenault promptly had a mechanic conduct a diagnostic on the vehicle and came up with two faulty fuel injectors. Being a warranty item, they would have to get approval from Ford before any work could be conducted. I figured they wouldn't hear back from Ford until the following day but they were diligent with emails and phone calls and had the approval by 2:00PM. Once they had approval, the mechanic started work. I know it's not an easy job and the outlook was that they probably wouldn't have it done that day. So, I made arrangements to have someone drive up from CT to pick me up. My ride wasn't going to show up until 6:00 so I waited. Alan was kind enough to keep me informed of the progress and by 4:00PM he was pretty confident that the mechanic would have it done by 4:30 but wasn't going to guarantee that something else might be wrong with the truck. Wow, I couldn't believe it. I called my ride and told him to hold off on coming to pick me up. At 4:45PM Alan came out and told me the truck was all set. They had test drove it and everything seemed to be good on the truck. I was able to pick up my trailer in the tandem truck lot off the highway and get everything home that day.I was thoroughly impressed that they were able to get my vehicle fixed in the short amount of time they had. The whole service team was genuinely concerned that I was a stranded traveler and went the extra mile to get my truck fixed. I run the Sales & Marketing team for a manufacturing company in CT and I know the power of good customer service. I was compelled to provide a review for the Herb Chambers Ford team because they excelled past good and provide great customer service. If all their customers get this type of treatment, they will be in business for a long time. I wish they we closer because I would have them provide all the service on my truck. Thank you to everyone at Herb Chambers Ford that was involved with handling my service issue. You should all be commended!!

Working with Mike Wing was a great experience. Very down to earth and not pushy. Bando (can't remember his last name) also provided great assistance in Mike's absence and is also very down to earth and not pushy. Anyone visiting this dealership should request to see either one of them. This was my third visit to Herb Chambers in Westborough to purchase a car and after three times I finally purchased a used car. My two initial visits were very dissappointing - too costly and not willing to budge although they were persistant in following up. I would go to another dealership who would meet my goal so I don't quite get why HC in Westborough couldn't. However, this time we came to a compromise and all worked out well.

I got am amazing deal on a 2010 Ford Focus SES. They gave me $3000 more for my trade out of all the dealerships I went to. My salesman Mike Wing made every effort to get me the best deal possible. On the day I signed the paperwork a manager 'Jed' actually gave me an additional $200 for my trade. What manager at a car dealership actually goes out of their way to give you money?! I couldn't believe it at the other places I went to the managers were always trying to low-ball me as much as they could.

I have been buying vehicles for all of my adult life and this was by far the most incredible experience I have ever had. My salesperson, Paul Scannell is the most professional sales person I have ever met. He helped me purchase my new Ford Edge without making me feel pressured at all. I Went in for an oil change, and the office personnel were friendly, quick, and helpful. The dealership vacuumed and washed the exterior of my car which was a nice service. The service took about an hour with the car wash, but I was happy to wait for the additional service especially in the winter.

The dealership was excellent in offering help immediately upon arriving at the dealership. Christopher asked what we were exactly looking for as to better serve us. The sales manager also stepped in assisting Christopher in looking for something that suited our needs. We were looking for a hard to find vehicle. Thru it all the prevailed and we are happy customers. The finance advisor worked with us on any offers available and any papers we needed to sign. It was a very friendly atmosphere and this is why I stick with Ford!

I brought my 2006 Ford F150 in for service. There were a few items wrong with it and were to be warranteed to the best of my knowledge. As it turns out the warrantee company I had went bankrupt and was sold to another company. When I bought the extended 100K warrantee, I was told it covered "everything but tires, brakes, wipers, belts and hoses"from the sales manager. I had issues with the door switch, radio, door check, seat cover, rear slider window, gauge cluster in dash and a few others. When Carrie called to the warrantee co, they refused to cover everything but the door switch, but they found defective ball joints which were replaced. I was very angry and Jeff, Service Manager, did a great job to diffuse my anger and do the best he could to get things done. He got the gauge cluster covered and took care of the door check. Although the radio and seat cover were not taken care of, I know that those 2 people in service did their absolute best in trying to get my issue taken care of. I will still fight my issue with the warrantee co to take care of the last 2 items, but I have 100% confidance in the service department that they will not steer me in the wrong direction moving forward. I have told many people of the great service I got from them and felt the need to let the powers that be know what a great job they did for me as a customer

I can't believe I am going to say this but I feel like I "found a friend" in the service dept of a car dealership, weird huh? You usually hear horror stories but that all changes when you walk into Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough, MA! Jeff Krasner, Service Manager is a real friend, he cares about you and your car and his main goal is to make his customers happy. He goes out of his way to tell you what needs to be done to your car and why and he goes the extra mile to make sure you are not inconvenienced (ie: arranging a rental car if needed, etc). This is a quality service department, you can feel good about bringing your car here. In these hard economic times, when money is tight, the one thing that can make you feel good about having to spend money to get your car serviced is Great Customer Service, and Jeff and his service team OVER DELIVER! Advice to anyone who has had a bad experience with car dealership service departments in the past - stop the aggravation and drive yourself over to Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough where you can FINALLY be happy about servicing your car! I brought my 4 year old Ford Mustang in to have the emergency brake fixed. I had bought the extended warranty when I purcahsed the vehicle and thought that it should be covered. At the time of check-in, Alan indicated that he would check into that for me. He also had wrote me up for a courtesy check-up to see if there was anything else wrong with the car. When he called me a couple of hours later with the findings, he said they found that my ball joints needed to be replaced also in order for the car to pass inspection. He had taken it upon himself to get both the original emergency brake work and the ball joint work approved by the extended warranty company (thus saving me an extra deductable payment !!). He called to tell me the happy news that my car would be entirely fixed for just one deductable payment of $100. Alan was able to have the car completed by the end of my workday and when I picked it up, the car came around the corner washed and vacuumed. It was actually cleaner than it had been in awhile.For a change, I had an extremely positive experience at a car dealer service department. Herb Chambers should be proud of employees like Alan who go out of their way to help the customers' experience.

I absolutely love my car. I did not feel pressured at Herb Chambers when deciding on purchasing my car. I thought about all my options (whether new or pre-owned), gave myself time to think about it and was pleased that Mike Mangrun worked with me so well. After the sale he also took the time to explain and show me the car's system. And when I was having a problem (me, not the car) Mark in service was great in taking me right away and explaining what I was doing wrong! For follow-up, Julie in customer service has been wonderful. There were others, sales managers, etc. that I have forgotten their names, but everyone that I dealt with was courteous, pleasant and helpful.Did I mention that I love my car?!!!

First, I absolutely love the car. It's much more than I was expecting.I was greeted in a friendly and courteous way from the minute I stepped into the door. Mike and also his Manager(sorry, I forgot his name) listened to what I was looking for and they helped me decide while giving me time to think about what I wanted without pressure. When I was having a problem programing my sync, Mark in Service saw me immediately and was very helpful and also friendly.I have already recommend this dealership and also the Fussion to a couple of people.My only negative comment, is that I was talked into the gap insurance that I don't feel is necessary as I plan to pay down my balance quickly. I recently brought my Toyota Corolla to this dealership for a timing belt change. I was greeted by a dapper-looking gentleman by the name of Jeff Krasner. I told him my service needs and asked him to check over the vehicle for anything else I may need. I received a call not long after stating that since my car has a timing chain, I did not need to replace it. Great news! Jeff recommended I have a basic service done- which I did. I am pleased with the service I received and the price was reasonable. I really felt that my car was in good hands. I didn't have to wait around when I picked up my car- like I've had to at other service establishments. And I was treated kindly, as though my patronage was really appreciated. I recently had my Edge serviced by this dealership. From the moment I walked in the building, I knew I had selected the right Ford dealership to do business with. I was greeted in the parking upon arriving by a gentleman wearing a service uniform for no reason. Upon entering the building a nice young salesman held the door open for me then asked me if I need assistance, then directed me to service. I was greeted yet again by a young lady by the name of Carrie. At first when I began talking to her I assumed her to be a receptionist or something. I wasn't being rude, but I was thinking why is SHE asking me all these questions about my car. Shouldn't I be speaking to a man???? Then I realized SHE was the service adviser, and SHE knew all about my car. Overall my experience at the dealership from start to finish was excellent, but not only that Carrie made my trip worth wild. She makes you feel relaxed and at ease when being at a car dealership is the last place you want to be. She explained the entire process and I knew up front what was going to take place with my vehicle. When the problem couldn't be fixed that day, she was upfront with me and honest. I will continue doing business with this dealership as long as I can. She truely brings a new feel to a "mans" department.

What a rip off! They tried to hold onto the new car for two weeks after taking the title on the old car and then wanted more money to release the new car! We are planning to take legal action against this dealership. DO NOT let them rip you off like they are trying to do to us! This dealership should be boycotted and closed.

Purchased my Explorere through HC Ford and that was a very good experience. Service has been another issue. I had a few quick services that were good (oil changes) but anytime more work was done I was typically left unhappy. Cost is high (to say the least) and they act as if you are getting a great deal. Huh!?!? I've had work done that was unsatisfactory and left me needing to have my vehicle seen again for the same problems. I use a local mechanic for service and he has been great so I stick with him. Shouldn't have to go back multiple times for the same things (especially a dealer). Buying is one thing, service is another at HC Ford.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic. I always went to Bernardi before since it is closer to my house. My car has the Bernardi's service due sticker with the service due over 2 months prior but since I didn't drive as much so I didn't bring my car earlier. This time I decided to go to Herb Chambers in Westborough since I found a printable coupon online. When I went to Chambers, I was told that I didn't need to change my oil. I mentioned to the man that my car service was actually due over 2 months prior, why not change the oil? I was told that the new Honda has a computer reminder and it doesn't go by the mileage/date anymore. This was the first time I learned that I didn't need to spend money unnecessarily. While by now, Bernardi had called me twice to remind me to change the oil. Sure, that made me feel so special being reminded to take care of my car but if I don't have to spend my money for something unnecessary if I don't have to. I was so impressed with the Chambers because they were so honest. I have never gone to any car dealer/service that turn me down from getting money out of me. Who would? Business is business, it's all about money. But Chambers surely has honest workers. - I don't remember the name of the employees there but he is an African man, the other one is a Caucasian man who was on the desk. They both were very friendly. - The people at the Bernardi Honda too were so friendly but the only thing that discouraging me to bring my car there because there was a mechanic who gave me a free car wash but begged for my phone number. He didn't want to close my car door until I gave my phone number. Eventually I gave out my phone number so he let me go. He did call me once but I never returned.(I didn't want to give wrong number because I thought I was going to return for service). I was friendly to him because he took care of my car but I wasn't interested in dating the man. Professionalism is important. If not, you lose a customer(s). With the Herb Chambers, for every service you can free car wash and the guy won't ask for your phone number to get to know you only because he washes your car.Thanks Herb Chambers, I will go back to your shop again from now on for every single thing that my car need.

Bob Nichols was very knowledgeable about trucks and was easy to deal with when it came to the money side of the transaction. The truck was a great value and was in great condition they also had the most pre-owned trucks to choose from of all of the dealerships I looked at. He took very good care of me for the beginning of the transaction to the end. I have also called back with technical questions after the sale and he has always been able to help and gotten back to me quickly. I like the feeling that he is still willing to take care of me after the deal was done and the money changed hands. Paul Scannell was a salesperson at another Ford dealership. When that dealership closed, we had a choice of conducting business at a Ford dealership in our town (about 2 miles from our home), or to "follow" Paul to Herb Chambers in Westborough (about 45 miles away). Because Paul has always provided excellent service and a fair deal, we decided to try the Herb Chambers dealership. The service from this dealer is outstanding - both from a sales perspectice (Paul Scannell) and service. We have purchased or leased at least 6 different vehicles from Paul. We see no reason to change - we are completely satidfied and would highly recommend this dealersip.

HAd brake work done, just pads. One moth later the LF caliper froze. I told them what was wrong. Charged $90 for diagnosis of caliper frozen. $800+ to repair and one week later the brake fluid is all over my driveway. I'm waiting for tthe dealer to check. Two yrs ago had play in steering 3 trips before they fixed it. They replaced front steering before they realized it was a gear box. Luckily it was under warranty. Believed me only after insisting that service mgr drove it with me.

I went in to Herb Chambers Ford in Westboro to buy an Explorer using the x-plan. They tried to sell me a demo under the x-plan (which is not allowed by Ford), then tried to tell me the documentation fee was a state fee and couldn't be waived. (when using the x-plan ford does not allow dealers to charge a documantaion fee) and they locked the keys to my trade in in the car, basically keeping me at the dealership for 3 hours. I called my wife to get the second key, once she got there, they wouldn't let her see me. She walked in the office where I was with finance guy, gave me the key, we told them to forget the whole deal and walked out and as we drove off, the sales manager was basically chasing me down to try to get me to stay. HC Ford of Westboro is a bunch of liars and I would never reccommend them to anyone
