I had contacted 15 Dealers during my 7 week search. Rich Moody (Internet Sales Manager of Herrnstein Chrysler - Chillicothe, OH) separated himself and his dealership from the rest. I live in Cincinnati - a pretty good drive. I emailed him exactly what I needed to make it happen. He responded immediately saying he will see what he could do. About an hour passed, he emailed back with a Full quote and was able to meet my bottom line. He was also able to match the rate that I was getting from the GE Credit Union. We agreed on a day and time to meet after work. When my wife and I arrived, he already had a customer with him. She told Rich to help us while she was filling out her paperwork. She said to us that we will love him. She said that she was buying her second car from him. A Return customer is always a great sign. He was down to earth (what I call Good People). Great guy and no pressure. Even the Finance Guy (Darren McGraw) was great. There was no "Good Cop \ Bad Cop" scenario. He did not even pressure us to get the Extended Warranty. Highly recommend Herrnstein Chrysler and even though it is almost 2 Hrs away - I will probably be back. If you go, ask for Rich.

came in with a small car way to small for us to start our family in and luckily we got james barlage he was very nice and understandable about everything . we are only 18 and 19 no credit we didn't have any cash for down payment and all we had was are little run down car and we didn't get much for it but luckily he pulled through with us and was patient and got us nice car for me and my two little ones I thank him so much for evething . specially the way my wife was scared and nervous that we couldn't get one he calmed her down and made her feel really good about the sale . We drove an hour from home to look at/purchase a vehicle. We dealt with Butch a few days leading up to our visit and he detailed what we needed to bring to complete a deal since we were traveling so far (we can't just run home and grab a pay slip). Sure enough, we showed up with all of our documentation and were greeted warmly and things moved quickly. He even made our kids comfortable in the lounge, with cartoons and snacks. There was no rush, no hassle and no pressure. We weren't given the run around and quickly secured a deal that was exactly what we wanted (with much less than perfect credit). The car was detailed and filled with gas and we were on our way back home. Thank you to Butch and the entire team! We will definitely be returning here in the future and telling everyone we know about our experience!

I went to test drive a used Buick SUV and the check engine light comes on. I guess they don't test drive used vehicles if so they would have known that it wasn't running worth crap. Then you have a man working there that comes over to look at the SUV grabbing himself and adjusting himself in front of my girlfriend. Now that is class. I didn't even have anyone from upper management come out and talk to me. Shows you what they think of the customer. It takes time to get buyers and only seconds to lose them. As you can tell they lost my business. I can cross them off my list of places to buy a car from.

Sunday June 26 around 3pm my husband and I stop in after shopping in Columbus at two other dealerships. Kelly greeted us as we walked in. We were initially looking for a used Journey that was seen on cars.com. Kelly informed us that is had just sold hours earlier. He walked us to the new Journeys on the lot and he gave us a bumper to bumper tour of the suv. Kelly did this even before he knew if we would qualify for a loan. After taking a test drive we loved it! During the loan process he kept checking back with us showing us each step they were taking to help us get a loan. LOAN APPROVED!!! Kelly even took the time to give our new Journey a wash and filled the gas tank! Thanks to Kelly and all of his coworkers who made us feel welcome and not pressured to buy! Kelly is the best!!!

My husband and I have bought two vehicles from Kelly Whitten in the last two months. I first was looking for a new Jeep Cherokee Latitude, I found what I was looking for sent an email for more info. Kelly returned my email within minutes. He called to go over the features I wanted in my new Jeep, the next time I spoke with him he was telling me to come get my car! I arrived at the dealership, drove the Jeep came back very pleased went in and signed the paperwork he ALREADY had DONE! He took the time to go over ALL the features of my new vehicle, synced my phone to bluetooth, EVERYTHING. He left nothing to wonder "what is this for". In and out total of 45 min. THAT'S AWESOME!! After this experience my husband whom has been debating on new vehicle for about a year told me a couple weeks later that he was going to go see what Kelly could find for him. Again, a few phone calls between us went to dealership test drove truck, back in to sign paperwork. Two vehicles bought in a total of about TWO HOURS!! Kelly your AWESOME and have definitely gain two more repeat customers.

My husband & I were looking for a new or slightly used mini-van....I saw one online at Herrnstein's that interested us and the next day we received a call from them and made arrangements to go in and see the van. Rich Moody was our salesman and what an excellent one!! He was 'no pressure' which was a lot different than past experiences we've had with car buying! He had us take it for a test drive, was informative, courteous, and most helpful throughout the entire process. Probably for the first time in our lives we can say we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience buying a car!!! Of course we ended up purchasing the Chrysler Town & Country that we had gone in to see!! I'm not so sure that would have happened if it hadn't been for Rich Moody and the staff at Herrnsteins. Everyone was so friendly and I can't say enough good about this dealership!! I also want to send a shout out about "John".....I had to go in to Herrnstein's today to get a little help with some of the features in the van and Rich Moody was with another customer. John didn't hesitate to help me and show me everything, eventhough he wasn't our salesman!!! This is just an example of the fine staff at this dealership!! I recently bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Melody Sollars-Brownfield. My husband and I were looking for a very specific Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with a rare exterior/interior color combination, and I knew from my own research there were none in Columbus where we live. After working with another dealer in Columbus who only wanted to sell me something on their lot, (and not what I wanted), I was hesitant to start the car buying process again with a new dealer, especially one so far outside Columbus. Went to herrnsteins on 8/15/2015 bought used truck got a warnty for 30 days and the truck began to have problems . And they did all they could do to fix it !! So this is how good they are there !!!!!! THEY TOOK IT BACK!!!! Believe it!!! It true. They undid the deal I felt like the only thing that was important was me!!!!! Kelly showed me that it was not just about him and making his "check" he showed me that his customers are very important to him. I did my research on the truck I was looking for and had a number in mind that I was willing to pay. A trusted friend recommended I visit Herrnstein. Having made several car purchases at other dealerships over the last 15 years, I was prepared for battle. I expected I would have to haggle over prices, deal with a salesperson that couldn't answer questions, and be pressured into purchasing, etc. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised when I met Hernnstein sales rep Todd Montgomery. It was refreshing to have a salesperson that was knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in. He knew everything about the truck, down to the minute details. He was polite and we didn't feel pressured at all. He made every effort to meet our price and came within just a few hundred dollars. He greatly exceeded our expectations. We got a great deal on a beautiful truck and are extremely impressed and very happy with our purchase and experience at Herrnstein. I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND Todd Montgomery, and Herrnstein to my family and friends. My wife and I have already decided that we will be back within the next year to upgrade her vehicle.

My wife and I have recently purchased vehicles from Hernnstein. On every occasion we will deal with Kelly Whitten, a true professional. He always takes the time to go out of his way to assist us. We just purchased a new Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition last week and the entire deal was done with text messages. Kelly was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Upon arrival Kelly had my Wrangler ready to go and the whole experience lasted no longer than 30 minutes since we worked everything out prior to. I have never left Herrnstein upset. I have always been treated good there and they work and work to make a deal. Tom Buck has always been the sales associate I worked with until he was promoted and I have since dealt with Todd Montgomery and John Ely. Both did wonderful jobs. From the moment I called Herrnstein and spoke with Kelly to explain my situation, I was put at ease. I had less than perfect credit, a small down payment, and I was in a hurry for a vehicle. He immediately calmed me, and told me to let him handle the details. After giving a little bit of information over the phone, he said he would be right back in touch with me.....AND HE WAS !!!! My experience with Hernsteins was an amazing car buying moment. Me and my wife stopped in and Kelly approached us and introduced his self to us .Very polite,friendly and professional. I told him what we was looking for and explained that I already had an approval with Capital One. So after Kelley showed us some vehicles, my wife chose the black 2012 Dodge Avenger. Kelly went in to run the paper work and while we was waiting, he gave us a tour of the facility and introduced us to everyone. The entire staff was very friendly and willing to help. The facilities was very clean and nice. After we went and sat down, Kelley came back and said great news, Capital One approved but wanted money down,we felt bummed out. He then chimed in and said he got us approved through someone else with no money down and a lower payment then we expected. All we can say is Kelley was awesome and now we are working on a deal for our 16 year old son on a vehicle. When we go to trade my truck in and get a new one Hernsteins is where we are going and Kelley is the man to ask for. Kelley Thank you for everything from the Akers family.

3 years ago I purchased a used vehical from Herrnstien, and when it came time again to purchase my next car I had no doubt the Herrnstein team would be able to assist me. Its nice to be welcomed and helped by people that want to sell you a car that fits your needs and wants, not feel as if your at all being pressured to buy what the dealer wants to get off the lot. The car lot and facilities are clean and organized. You can not go four feet without someone with a smile there to help you along the way. Hi. I recently purchased a new 2014 Ram 1500 truck from Herrnstein Dodge in Waverly, Ohio. I must say it was the easiest most enjoyable vehicle buying experience I ever had! The whole staff was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable!!!! Jerry Nutt was my salesman and I can't say enough good about how he handled the whole situation. I phoned Jerry and told him what I was looking for in a truck. He promptly located the truck I was looking for and had it brought to the Waverly dealership immediately! From the ladies at the service desk (Montana and Tammy), to Mike Little the sales manager, to Laddie Williams the finance director, to my salesman Jerry Nutt I was VERY VERY impressed! My down payment was a little slow in arriving but that didn't hinder me getting my new truck when I wanted it!!! We have not only had one bad experience with the service department or even two...we have had three incidents of little to no assistance with our unreliable vehicle through the service department. The first incident, we needed a head in the engine replaced on our 2 year old Dodge Durango. We were told it could be driven and then we break down. The vehicle had to be towed. Dodge Roadside Assistance had it towed to Herrnstein. Herrnstein refused to pay the overage on the mileage on the towing. Called Dodge, they said Herrnstein would pay since they said we could drive the vehicle. After arguing more they finally payed. This year on vacation, the alternator, water pump, and timing chain goes out on our vehicle. We are stranded in Mississippi! ! Called Herrnstein, was told they could not help with the extended warranty or give any info because we were not at there dealership. Keep in mind we have purchased two cars at their dealership, and they could not help us at all!! We were in a different state and they did absolutely nothing to help us!! Did not give us the towing number for dodge or a dealer phone number. Absolutely nothing!! The third thing...we had to replace our tires at 20 thousand miles. They did nothing because the tire tread did not last longer. Did not even try to help us...nothing. The service department has not gone out of their way to help us at all. By the way, we also found out our extended warranty pays for a rental car. When the the head on the Durango was being replaced Herrnstein did not give us a rental. The Mississippi folks treated us right. We received the rental.

My wife and I spoke to Tom Buck on the phone regarding a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (Anvil Clear-coat in color). Tom was wonderful on the phone and very knowledgeable. He invited my wife and I to the dealership to test drive the vehicle, but being over an hour away, we had to wait about a week before we had the chance to drive up. Tom had stated that he recently took a promotion with the company, but I would be working with Mike Collins. Upon arrival, Mike greeted us, and treated us like family. I cant tell you how pleasant it was to work with Mike, and Tom. They were extremely fair on the trade in value of our 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and I cant tell you how happy we were when we left. We both hate going into dealerships that have pushy salespeople. Mike and Tom were not pushy at all, and answered all of our questions. I have purchased vehicles at several dealerships over the years, and I have to say that Hernstein's has been the BEST! In our experience, some dealers want to show you the payments you will be paying, and not disclose the price your actually paying for a vehicle. If they try that tactic, my wife and I walk out the door. Mike and Tom were upfront with the price we were paying, and the taxes, and fees. It's nice to see that we still have honest dealerships . I would highly recommend Hernstein's to anyone. I will not buy another vehicle from any other dealership, Hernstein's has my business for life. THANKS MIKE AND TOM!!!

We stopped at the dealership to see what they had. We knew that Amy worked there and wanted to talk with her. She asked what we were looking for and brought out 2 cars that met our needs. We test drove both then got prices and went home to think it over. We came back a couple days later and told her which car we wanted and what equipment we wanted and extended warrenty and what payment we wanted. Amy went to her manager with our proposel and was able to get within $10 of what where we wanted to be. We drove it home that night. Had to take it nback to have fremote start installed and it was ready when Amy said it would be. Amy is a wonderful person to deal with and works hard to get what you want! We recomend that you look her up when you in the market for a new car!

I stopped in the dealership on Monday March 10th 2014 looking to trade me Sorento for a Sportage or an Optima. I was introduced to Tom Buck because Rich Moody was off work. I have bought a lot of cars over the years and I have to say Tom was one of the most helpful salesman I have worked with over the years. I had a hard time deciding which vehicle to choose and he continued to work and help me no matter how many time I changed my mind. I had the pleasure of buying a car from Shawn Hucks at the Chillicothe dealership. I have bought cars in places where it took hours to put the deal together and was not looking forward to the process after working all day. Shaun made the experience enjoyable and we left with a vehicle and payment that we were happy with. He even took the time after the sale to show me how to pair my phone with the car so I could make hands-free calls, and called to follow up to make sure everything was ok. I have owned 4 Dodge Caravans and 3 of them were purchased at Herernstein. The staff is friendly, not pushy. They worked with my specifications and price range to make sure that I got what I consider to be a great purchase. They even stayed past closing hours, with out complaining, to finish eveything and make sure I was happy. I would highly reccomend this dealership if you are in the market for a vehicle. And make sure you ask for Amy! It was a great experience being able to work with another female.

This place is horrible, the service departments employees are rude, mean and greedy. They only care about money and themselves NOt the customers! They will repair your car with tape and charge $500! And when it goes bad again they will not fix what they did wrong unless you pay the same again!

While I was still in love with my 2002 Jeep Liberty, my husband was insistent that it was time to get over it and find something that would make me even happier. This resulted in a totally open-minded car shopping experience in that I was reluctant to give up my Jeep, and not set on any auto make/model. After a few weeks of test driving a few vehicles, my preference narrowed to the 2014 Honda CRV and Kia Sorento. It was a pleasure dealing with Tom Buck, Sales Associate for Hernstein. Had some time to kill before a dr's appt. Wife and I were looking for a 4WD pickup, that was also an extended cab. Thought about Herrnstein's Chrysler behind Lowes, and went there to see what they had on their lot. Amy Hubbard met us, we told her what we were looking for. She took our information, and within 10 minutes, she came back with three vehicles to look at. She was not pushy, seem genuinely interested in helping us. All in all, this was the most smoothest buying at a dealership that I have EVER had! When we are in the market for another vehicle, THIS is the place we will be coming to in the future. I wish all dealers were like this. The people at Herrnstein were all very courteous.

I requested info on a car they had listed on cars.com. . A mini van. I live 60+ miles away. I asked if there were any know problems. They said no. I asked for pictures of tires and inside. They said sure, they would send them to my phone. Two hours later, no call no pictures. I got online to talk to them again and they said car was sent to auction, and they were just getting ready to call me. If that was case, they should have taken off cars.com and their website before they actually sent it to auction. It is still on the websites. They close at 8 pm, luckily I(meaning me , my wife- to drive the car back, and my 93 year old father who cannot be left alone) had not left yet, drove 74 miles to find out it was sent to auction. Dealers should be required to remove items from web sites before they send the cars out and if sold, should be required to immediately remove them. It is like they want you to come and then tell you so you might buy something else. .

I went to Hernnstein and saw Adam Roberts! I test drove the 2013 Kia Optima and Adam rode along with me. He was very helpful in answering any questions that I had about the car and very knowledgable as well! Not one time did I feel pressured or overwhelmed during the buying process. I told them what I could do and what I couldn't, they listened and worked to get me the best deal possible! Needless to say, I went to take a test drive and walked out with a new car! Had it not been for the excellent customer service that I received, I would not have! I would recommend Adam and the staff at Herrnstein to any one that I know who is in the market to buy a car! I got hooked up with Herrnstein through the USAA car buying program. They are a family owned dealership in a nice small town. You can really feel the difference between that and a big city lot. My salesperson was Bob Tillis. He is funny, polite, and very pleasant. He was very patient with us in buying our new Sorento. Easily the best car buying experience EVER! A+++
