Regular service call/oil change. Handled quickly and professionally. Second Review: Our vehicle exhibited the dreaded "check engine light" and I was able to get an appointment the following day. The team were very professional, and were able to run the proper diagnostics to determine the cause of the check engine light, which turned out to be a sensor on the transmission. Along with the replacement of the sensor, they also performed some additional services, and were complete within a couple of hours. Another great service experience.

I've been to many dealerships but there isn't many like Hinshaw's Honda. The people behind the service counter has been there for decades! So it's nice being able to walk in and knowing who you're working with and them knowing me! Knowing what is being done to my car and knowing it's been done right the first time every time is the best part of servicing my car at Honda. I used to go to smaller shops but they aren't always cheaper and the quality of work isn't always there. At Hinshaw's I know exactly what I'm getting.

Visited Hinshaw's Honda this past weekend with the intent to purchase a Honda Fit for our daughter. Since the first gentleman was tied up with other clients - he had a colleague of him take care of us. Things was not going well with this other gentleman - and almost left the dealership because of this. But my wife decided to give them a chance - but this time to work with the Zach Lee who was the original staff that I had spoken. Zach did it with a calm, helpful patience approach. He explained things well, did an excellent job helping me get the car we wanted for the right fair price. Above and beyond customer service - this also goes to the Finance folks that made the signing process very smooth and pain-free. So thank you, Zach!

I have had some really bad experiences with dealers in the Seattle area (Magic Toyota being the absolute worst, followed closely behind by Seattle Mini) and found it absolutely refreshing to deal with Hinshaw's Honda. I purchased a used Mini Cooper S from them and found the experience thoroughly enjoyable, from first contact to driving away from the dealership with my new car. Josh Duncan was the salesman, and was incredibly easy to deal with, communicating with me via text message (as my chosen form of communication) and Devin Howell was the finance manager. the title says it all, he told me he hasnt been with the compnay more than a year. Dont let that fool you, he had the good knowledge with cars. everybody who worked there was very nice and loved the environment. Zach is one of the rep who was helping me throughout the whole process and i was very satisfied even though i lost some money for trading in my year old civic. he told me since i dont drive more then 10k on my car he said why dont i lease it? so looking at every objections he over come all my questions with professionalism.He made sure i got the best value for trade in and lowest price for the car i was buying. I bought the honda civic touring model it was one of the highest demand color WHITE so they did not have any white honda civic touring. when i was leaving the dealership, Zach and couple of his managers were on the phone looking everywhere for this civic. the manager informed me that it could take upto 2 weeks and i was bummed but i was willing to wait after Zach did everything for me.he said it could take about 2 weeks but i got it the next day. At the end i was very satisfied and i will probably have to go through Zach again.

I used to go to Renton Honda before they got bought out by auto nation. Now they make me schedule out my oil change and services two weeks in advanced! I called around to other dealerships and it seems like all Honda dealers are doing this two weeks advance notice scheduling now - except for Hinshaw's Honda. They told me they still do walk ins during the weekdays, which makes easy for me and my hectic schedule. I spoke to Nam on the phone and he was able to give me quotes on the repairs needed on my car and even said he'd apply discounts and coupons.When I came in, he remembered my name and took great care of me and even gave me discounts even though I've never been there before! Excellent customer service! I'll definitely be back again for all my services!

My wife and I bought a Honda Odyssey EX-L, July 24, from Hinshaws. It was one of the easiest car buying experiences Ive known. After walking out on several dealerships who did a play on the classic bait and switch and contacting others online, I finally contacted Hinshaws. This was after firing back and forth emails with other dealerships for several weeks. I was fortunate enough to contact Sean Donahue at Hinshaws who was attentive to what I was shopping for. After weeks negotiating with other dealerships, I began and concluded a deal for an Odyssey with Sean in a day.I respect the fact a salesman and a dealership are in business to make money. Whats important to me is that they respect it is MY dollar. Sean Donahue in this regards was the perfect choice in he respected what I wanted. There were no pushy sales. He did make a couple of worthwhile recommendations that I would have taken if the Odyssey was to be used often or as a daily driver. When a I turned these down in financing, I was met with a polite, OK. That was the end of it. I was in and out of finance in 10 minutes it seemed.Ive read the negative reviews. I cant give an opinion on the other salesmen or say theyre representative of the Hinshaw Dealership. However, I do recommend contacting Sean at Hinshaws. I will probably buy another Honda from Hinshaws in 2 or 3 years. Id recommend buying from Hinshaws especially if you work with Sean Donahue. Im a 60 year old, retired Boilermaker. Like Ive stated it was one of the easiest buying experiences Ive known.

Found a car I liked on craigslist...turns out it was at a dealer. I was a bit skeptical, but after I texted back and forth with Patrick Maloney (who did a totally awesome job), he gave me all of the information I needed before I came in. I came in, and I was able to drive the car while they checked out my trade in. The trade in was fair, the negotiation was straightforward, and I love my new car. My family and I stopped in to Hinshaws Honda on a Saturday (06/25/16) entertaining the idea of trading in our vehicle and acquiring a CPO Honda Pilot. I communicated my wants and needs to Tomari Bates and he was very keen on making sure both parties were satisfied. We negotiated the price of the Pilot first and then my trade. I felt I got an excellent deal on both and more importantly the process was respectable and fair. I never felt pressured in anyway which was key for me. That's the determining factor on whether or not I would refer my family or friends to Hinshaws. Fortunately for both Tomari and I he passed the test. after bringing my car to multiple shops and having them all attempt to fix my issue of a check engine light and flashing D light with all failed attempts, I finally brought my car to Hinshaw's Honda and they found my problem within 30 minutes and was able to fix my car an hour afterwards. It wasn't the cheapest of repairs but combined with all the misdiagnostics from other shops and their repairs I should have came here the first time. Not only did my service adviser Nam keep me up to date and explain everything for me to understand, he showed me the failed part and gave me options to have my car insurance cover the repairs! He's awesome! Dealerships aren't always more expensive than small shops and because Nam saved me money, I'll definitely be back for other services and repairs - done the right time the first time.

Hinshaws Honda is an amazing dealership. My family has bought two cars here and has had every oil change and service completed at the dealership. They are quick and do a great job. The customer service is fantastic and they never try to charge you more than necessary for a service. They also always offer coupons and wash the cars for free after a service or oil change. Being able to get a loaner car during a large service makes it so convenient! My car is still running great even after 15 years and over 200,000 miles.

I'd gone to at least five other dealerships before coming to Hinshaw Honda to get a feel for each one to see how the sales people are and how they conducted business. The problem was that if I had a friendly, courteous salesman, he would never come close to my target price, and if they got close to my target price, they'd be the rude ones, and I'd rather not give them any of my money.However, I came to Hinshaw Honda to test drive the new Civic EX 2.0, and I was greeted by Mitch at the door.I told him the model I wanted to drive and he told me that he'd bring it right over. We test drove the car and were given an overview of the car's features during the drive. I had no plans of purchasing or leasing a car that day because I just wanted to test drive, and my trips to the other dealerships were a complete waste of time.Curiosity got the best of me, and I asked if I could get an estimate of their prices for that model, and that's when the negotiations began.I didn't get to my ideal target price, but I was in the higher acceptable ballpark. It is my first car as well, so this was a good learning experience on the process of car purchasing. The entire process from walking in for a test drive to signing papers took a little over two and half hours, which I think is a win.Overall, I was very pleased, and I would highly recommend Mitch Meler as your salesman.

I told them I was looking for Tomari and they paged him and he came right away. Simply amazing! Everyone from the salesperson to the general manager to the finance guy was very nice and helpful. I never once felt like they were trying to take advantage of my or sell me stuff that I didn't need. I had a terrible experience with another dealer and these guys not only helped me fix the problem and figure out how the other dealer had lied to me, they got me the same car on the same day and beat the price by $500! My boyfriend and I were having lunch on my birthday and I was complaining that I didn't like the Civic that I bought 2 years ago. I had driven an Accord for 12 years before I bought the Civic. I was used to the bigger car, the space, 4 doors, etc. So we started looking around online and I saw a nice 2012 Accord on sale at Hinshaw's. I called the dealership and asked if the car was still available; I spoke to San L. He told me that the car was still available and asked if I'd like to come and see it. I said yes. My boyfriend and I drove over to Hinshaw's and the car was parked right out front, ready for me to look at. We looked over the car and San asked if we'd like to test drive it, we said yes. After the test drive we sat down to discuss numbers. I mentioned that it was my birthday and I didn't have time for a long, drawn out negotiation because I was meeting family for dinner at 5pm. This gave a small window of time to complete a car purchase. San said: can we negotiate if I promise that you'll be walking out of the door before 5pm? I agreed. I told him what I wanted, he wrote it down, I said if he could meet our agreement I would purchase the car. He went and presented the offer to his manager and came back with an agreement to all of the items we'd discussed, but a few hundred less on my trade-in, which I was fine with. He said: Do we have an agreement? I said: You got me everything I asked for so yes! Then San immediately got all of the information over to the financing department and explained my time constraint. I have to say, this was the quickest car buying experience I've ever had. San bent over backwards to meet all of my needs and I appreciated the outstanding customer service! I've been driving the car for a month now and I absolutely love it! I've emailed San a few questions that came up after the sale and he always responded promptly to my emails and has been very helpful. I would highly suggest going to Hinshaw's Honda and asking for San, you will not be disappointed.

We came to Hinshaw's because we knew many other people who have had excellent experiences with them. We came to buy after searching and searching for where we could get a great deal. The men who helped us there were unforgettably kind, and made the car buying experience, dare I say it, pleasant. I do not believe that any other dealership could offer the amount of help or friendliness that we encountered here. After a nice test drive, and their thorough overview of what the car can do, we started to barter the price. They were persistent with turning a profit, but not in an annoying way. We ended up walking out of the dealership with a bargain that even Kelly Blue Book rates as a 'great price'. I recommend this dealership to absolutely anybody, because when it comes to unmatched deals, kindliness, and salesmen who treat you like actual human beings, you really cannot go wrong with stopping by Hinshaw's Honda. I had some issues with my last Honda as it was getting old so I came by Hinshaw's for service because I heard good things about them. Their service adviser Nam Nguyen was very nice and friendly and he was upfront and honest about the repairs on my car, he took his time and explained what each part did and why it was important to replace and what I didn't have to replace right away. This is a big deal for me because I'm a girl and I don't know anything about cars. After reviewing the repairs on my car he gave me a couple of options that I liked better than just spending a ton of money on an old car. So I met with Charles Fellows and he got me an awesome deal on a brand new 2016 Honda accord sport! I still have the other car as a back up daily driver but I love my new accord! It's super nice and elegant and it drives really smooth and it was all within my budget too. Hinshaw's honda is an awesome dealership to get your car serviced or even buy a new one! I used to bring my car to jiffy lubes for oil changes until they messed my car up. And they would always charge me a lot for an oil change. I stopped by Hinshaw's on a Thursday after work and they got me in for service right away. Not only was everyone nice but the price for my oil change was less than $40! AND they washed and vacuumed my car too! Great price for a dealership oil change and everyone was hilarious and kept me entertained while I waited. Unbeknownst to Hinshaw's Honda I had been researching buying a new 2016 Honda Accord Coupe and coincidentally when I brought my car in for an oil change my service rep asked me if I wanted to buy a new car. I admitted I had been looking, but wasn't quite ready to buy. He offered me to spend some time with Charles Fellows, a salesman, while my car was being serviced. Charles was knowledgeable and patient. He made me feel comfortable and sold me on the car I wanted because they had it in stock and I simply couldn't walk away after the test drive. He was quick, efficient, and courteous. I will buy from him again if I am in the market for another car at Hinshaw's. Thank you Charles for the pleasant buying experience!! They have always been courteous, listen to what I say, and make scheduling appointments quite simple and timely.I had a young salesman, Patrick Maloney, who assisted me with my recent second purchase. He was very attentive to what I was requesting and needed. He did not "high pressure" me to buy a car that he wanted to sell me, but allowed me to make my own choice. Patrick clearly explained what would be needed to complete the transaction. He also took me for a test drive during which I could appreciate the smoothness of the ride. He was also helpful with orienting me to the instrument panel, so I could feel comfortable driving the vehicle home for a test drive.I would recommend Hinshaw's Honda to my friends.

I always bring my car to Hinshaw for all repairs and maintenance. I love my service rep - Damon. He always gets me in immediately whenever I call for an appointment. The service hours is just perfect for my busy schedule. Every time I come in, someone always opens the door for you no matter how busy they are. Hinshaw also have lots of coupons that helps bring the costs a little lower. The service wait area is always clean and bright. It's also a big plus that the dealership is only 15 minutes away from home.

First time back since buying my new Pilot, 1st oil change. Bob in service greeted me at the door and wrote me up for an oil change. Asked me if I had any problems, which I didn't, I had a couple of questions about how the auto climate control worked and Bob showed me the proper settings and made sure I knew how to do it before I left. The manager tested my Car as if I don't know that he is testing the Car quality. he took a walk around the building after I park the car and made sure that I am not seeing him. unfortunately I noticed it:( his bad luck. The representative run between me and his manager for almost 6 to 7 times and every time they will take 10 minutes. they will go an see the car and come back, some other agent will do a test drive etc.... finally when the deal was over, the manager did not communicate the final price to the finance manager, they gave me the initial price. what a nice dealing it is?? why do I need to waste my 2 hours?

I recently had an airbag that needed to be replaced in my 16 year old daughter's car. I didn't feel comfortable letting her drive her car with such an extreme recall. But, I was putting a strain on her work and social life, when I took her car away.Jim and Mike at Hinshaw's Honda, took my very real concern, seriously. I didn't want the scheduling nightmare of sharing a car with my daughter. So they called the manufacturer and even other dealerships to get my daughter's side-airbag in a soon as possible. The airbag was on back-order, and was originally supposed to take a month or so to come in. But, they had my airbag ordered and installed in a couple of days. They even washed and vacuumed my car for free.I appreciate the hard work of Hinshaw's Honda's Service Department. I will continue to take my vehicles their and I recommend them to everyone.

Jason is amazing so helpful my daughter and I came in to get my oil changed and in that process I had cold yogurt in the car so it needed to be fast service. Being amazing Jason said no problem I'll gladly take your cold items and put them in our fridge so they stay cold so there is no rush. I was very relieved. I had talked on the phone earlier with Bob Arnold and worked with him. My car had been vandalized and had some issues. I was upset but Bob put me at ease and explained everything. I came to hinshaws Honda today and was helped by Jason, amazing I had yogurt in the car and he grabbed what I had aND put it in his fridge so it would stay cold while they worked on my car, it was very sweet. I just bought a beautiful 2015 CRV EX-L. I traded in my old CRV, purchased from them. All my service work was done by them on my old CRV, so they knew it was well maintained. I think I was treated fairly and got a decent deal. My sales person was Joe Rubin, and he was pleasant to work with. This was not one of those long drawn out things, with back and forth negotiations going on forever. I was in and out in about two hours, part of which was taken up prepping my new car, which was fresh off the truck. Granted, I knew what I wanted going in, so I didn't have to take time making decisions I had already made. All the service work on this new CRV will be done at Hinshaws.

I've been buying Hondas from Hinshaw's since 1984, and I've always been satisfied with their quality, price and customer service. Even more importantly, their Service Department really shines. They've taken care of all of my Hondas from Day 1, keeping them in tip-top shape. The service advisors are excellent; they listen to my explanations, ask relevant questions, make suggestions and work within my budget. They are respectful of my time and my calendar. Recently I had an issue with my moonroof; I called and explained, and they had me come right in. Greeted me by name at the door, did the paperwork, fixed me up with a loaner at no charge, and told me when my CR-V would be ready. My personal service advisor called the morning it was promised; I returned to exchange cars and found that Hinshaw's had graciously covered the cost of the repairs. (Bonus!) I've been to two other Honda facilities closer to home, and the others are okay, but Hinshaw's is consistently outstanding.

I am very familiar with the car-buying process for my age, but my significant other is not. We have been to several lots/dealerships looking for just the right car at just the right price. No dealership was willing to work with us on price for the new car or price for our old car, except Hinshaw Honda. I am from the Midwest and was shocked when other dealerships just immediately turned us down without any sort of counter offer. (We do understand that this is their way of making a living and were not making ridiculous low-ball offers).We found what we were looking for and more at Hinshaw Honda. Mike O'Brien was honest every step of the way and we could tell he was on "our side" of the process. Our salesfriend, Mike, knew we were serious about purchasing a newer car and trading in our older-but-loved-and-cared-for car. He told us that if an offer was unreasonable he would tell us. We put in an "aggressive" but not unreasonable offer for the car we wanted and he came back from the boss with a counter offer that was exactly in the middle. Between the offer we got for our older car and the offer we accepted for the newer car we spent exactly what we were looking (and hoping) to spend.This is the best car purchasing experience I have ever had. At one point before we found Hinshaw Honda I actually started looking at cars listed online for the dealership I went to seven years ago that is 2,000 miles away because I had a great experience there and we kept having bad experiences here.Thank you so much to Mike O'Brien and the team at Hinshaw Honda for helping us move into our future with our new(er) car. I recommend them and plan to purchase from them again in the future.

I bought a car here in the 2000's and had a less than perfect experience. I didn't think I would be back but I wanted to test drive an Accord Hybrid. They had one, and after driving it I thought I would own this car. The salesman, Joe Rubin, was the nicest and friendliest guy to deal with. He answered all my questions and didn't push me into the sale (unlike my previous experience). After some fair negotiating, we struck a deal and I'm driving my new hybrid.

I shopped for the exact vehicle, with the features I wanted. Other dealers wanted my business and attempted to 'sell' me. Their techniques were obvious and imagined that I was stupid enough to accept the games being played. I stoped by Hinshaws Honda today , unanounced, as in no appointment. Was several hundred past my prime oil changing mileage. No problem Bob Arnold took great care of me, he also pointed out that it was time for a tire rotation as well, asked if I would like to use the same tech that I had the last time. I said sure, thinking to myself it might be even more personal since he"s already had my truck before. It worked out great, got me right in and out in less time than I could imagine AND with a complete wash and vac on my rig. THanks again guys, your are truly the best.

I bought a headlight at an auto parts store to replace my drivers side headlight. But it was too difficult to change out because the car battery and a couple other parts were in the way. I was driving by Hinshaws Honda and decided to stop by the service department to see if they would be able to change it for me. I didn't care what it cost because I needed to have my light changed. When I walked into the service department, I was greeted by Mike. I told him what I needed and he said that he would take a look at it and that he would change it for me himself. He had it changed in no time and he didn't even charge me!! A big thank you to Mike and his great customer service!! I truly appreciate it!

Remember when a Man's word was gold" that's is rare these days ! not if you have Joe Rubin as your salesman, he is awesome my wife and I felt like Family soon after the buying process began>>> all the way until today that has not diminished even a little. Joe will not oversell you, hound you or tell you fairy tales, he is a man of his word. So if you want to be pushed around and treated like yesterdays news , then go down the street to all the other dealerships on Auto row in Auburn, you will find a slew of them who forget your name as soon as they get their commissions, or hopefully you will find one who is like Joe...good luck on that one.... Thank you so much Joe for not being that type of one hit wonders. Joe has an awesome dealership backing him up and most importantly a Honda high quality vehicle, you can go get a cheaper vehicle... and with the money you save you can save it for all the repair bills that are waiting for you just around the bend. We have owned American made since 1967 it was hard to turn away from the Chevys, and so on but the consumer ratings , Google' yelp etc...across the board speak volumes as to what our new kids on the block think of the American engineering and customer 1st . Chevrolet showed us all in the recall issue that spanned a decade of cover ups. Our 2014 Honda CRV...AWD can be towed on all four tires, put it in neutral and go, follow the instructions in your CRV manual . Go to Jeep, Ford, Chevy . don't listen to the salesman's, managers word>>>>> the reality of what you can tow is in the owners manual and when you break it your warranty will be not cover the damages and they will be extensive...powertrain wise. Own a manual shifter you MAY be ok on a 4x4...AWD do your homework trust the manual its your lifeline to evading high cost over runsGo see Joe Rubin and leave the herd behind and the dusty trail of lies and frustration, anger behind . The entire Dealership from a-z team will go out of their way to get you in a nice loaner, fix your car in a timely manner and done right, >>>>will they make mistakes ?...of course we are all human, but atHonda in Auburn. they will be make it right., this website wouldn't let me use the Dealers nameTell Joe That Gary.. sent you to him via this review, and after a short time you will see that I speak the truth, Joe is not a relative , he is a new friend for sure.... I had a good experience at this dealership. The last time I bought a car was at Scarff Ford in Auburn which was a nightmare. Only concern I have about this transaction is the Warranty purchase I made.The Warranty guys seem to be squirming out of alot of stuff so far, first time I took the car into the Toyota dealership I still wasnt even in the system yet, almost three weeks later. Still early so im hoping I get some minor things taken care of by the Warranty guys..

When buying a new car, I anticipate that there will be some negotiating back and forth. But I really did not expect that I would be sitting there for SIX HOURS even after I had already accepted the offer made by the salesman. I said "great, I like this price, I'll buy the car right now and drive it out of the lot today." But he kept "checking with his manager" and coming back with reasons why I should pay more, like the accessories. Then he'd come back again to say that particular vehicle didn't have any accessories so he wouldn't charge me for those, but then he'd increase the price elsewhere. At the end of the day, he had added $2,000 more to the price I had already agreed to pay! I finally walked away but he wasn't done humiliating me: he said he'd get his manager to come talk to me, and instead he brought some guy who had no idea what was going on. They make this huge deal about how "honest" they are at Hinshaw, but this one definitely cannot be trusted. Don't waste your time.

My experience today when I took my 2011 accord into the service department was great. Mike Sands in the service department took care of me in a very timely manner from the time I stepped into the door I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes. These guys are in credible and treat all of their customers like they are number 1. This is how I have been treated fly everyone from the front desk staff, sales staff, and service department. Mike was very helpful and explained my service in detail, which as a customer is nice to know there weren't going to be an surprises. I really enjoy the free wash and vacuum that comes with the oil change, it halls not having to go pay extra for a car wash. By the time I walked out the door, I was thinking that I would recommend going to Hinshaws Honda for either your car servicing needs or car buying needs. The staff at Hinshaws Honda are very helpful!

Bod Arnold greeted me and opened the door for me! He asked me what I was there for and proceed to help me and ran out to get my mileage! I really just came in for a check up service and but he proceeded to tell me to get the 60,000 mile service because he told me I was past due which I didn't realize! I told him I wasn't prepared and I didn't have my service coupons but he gave the discounts to me anyway! I was impressed with him genuine concern to help me and take care of me! I like his upbeat attitude and enthusiasm! He gave me a loaner car and i I was able to pick up my car the next day early!

Becki was the lady who helped us, and she explained all our options as buyers. She even gave us a thorough run through of leasing, which most places don't even talk about that option. Everything was smooth and stress-free. Any questions or concerns I had were quickly answered and addressed through outstanding customer service by Becki and others at the dealership. When I noticed that one of the front tires on the used car I was purchasing was worn and needed to be replaced, Hinshaw's replaced BOTH front tires with brand new matching tires, free-of-charge. I went to four dealerships before I chose Hinshaw. Cheryl, the sales rep, was professional and knowledgeable. There was no pressure and she made the process easy. I really enjoyed working with Daniel the finance manager. He too got me a great rate and was really helpful. I highly recommend them.

I talked to Cheryl Krebs over txts about a honda insight that I found on craigslist. She answered all of my questions directly. I came by in a few days and she greeted me as we arrived. Zero sales pitch. Had I received even a hint of any sales tactic i would of left as I did a week prior to another dealer. Good job everyone. I will mention that Mike at the sales department is great and an extra special thanks to Victor for helping me get my badge from my car car after service hours.(Left car overnight for service).

Talked to Mike about a possible transmission issue right after buying a used car from their dealership. Nothing ended being wrong but I felt as if the department took their time to research my concerns to come up with an answer. Later that night I realized my work badge was locked in the car. I don't have a spare key and the service department was closed. The staff there was great in helping me get access to the car, it took a little detective work to find the master key and I left with my badge.Thanks to Victor for taking the time to help me with this.

Our experience at Hinshaw's was very good. Cheryl, our salesperson was awesome. She sets the bar for customer service at a high level of excellence. During the selection and purchase of our CR-V, Cheryl provided excellent assistance. She was knowledgeable and straight-forward. She never rushed or pressured us during the process and was always available to answer our questions. When we picked up our car, she was there to make sure that all went perfectly and spent considerable time showing us the cars' features before we drove away. Cheryl is there before, during and after the purchase. It is obvious that her goal is customer satisfaction, and that is very special!

Mike Sands was awesome to deal with. He got our Odyssey diagnosed and fixed, and back on the road in one day! And at a great price. I think people shy away from getting service at dealerships, assuming they will be overcharged, but I will tell people that they shouldn't worry if they are considering Hinshaw's! It was a great experience.

I began my search for a used Honda at Jay Lees in Sumner. Did a bit of looking around and found the experience there to be quit unpleasant. i know Devin through his brother and decided to contact him for my search for a new car. the minute I arrived me and my father were proffesionally greeted by Devin. he was very helpful and seemed very interested to help us. the vehicle i ended up purchasing was not at that dealership but the 2007 Honda Civic i did buy was at the Hinshaws Honda in Auburn.the whole reason i found out about this car was because Devin took the time to look for a car that was what i wanted in the price range that i also wanted. through the extent of my visit not only Devin but the whole staff at Hinshaws made me and my father feel welcome. as it being my first time buying a car from a dealership i can gladly say it was awesome!

This is the first car he has purchased with his own money and Cheryl went above and beyond to find a vehicle that was right for him. I bought a Honda CRV from this dealer and well I wouldn't say I had a poor buying process, it was what happened after that prompted me to write this cautionary review. As I was driving the car out of the lot, I already noticed a light on the dash but the car was brand new and new to me so I didn't know exactly what it was and didn't think anything of it. It turns out it was the tire pressure icon. The next day, less than 24 hours later as I was pulling out of my neighborhood, I noticed I had a flat tire. I tried calling the dealership to see if they could/would help me. I was put on hold for a long time and when I did speak to someone, they basically told me that's not their problem and that I have to call roadside assistance. When I called roadside assistance, I was just put on hold. I was late for work so I finally just left the car and had a friend take me to work. My husband changed the flat and took my car to Les Schwab, a company that I've never done business with and they fixed the problem and didn't even charge us. I just can't believe that a company that I just spent so much money with didn't even attempt to help me or offer any kind of resolution and treated me so poorly while a company that I had never done business with helped me so much. I will be a Les Schwab customer for life but I will NEVER do business with Hinshaw Honda again. That is not how you treat a customer and definitely not how you get repeat customers!

Hinshaw Honda - and specifically Cheryl Krebs made buying a new car very efficient. I was totally dreading the whole experience but I just had to get rid of an old car that was falling apart around me. I went in looking for a used car and test drove with Cheryl. Had to sleep on it, and came back the next day with my husband and test drove the car on the freeway and decided I did not like the road noise. I walked in, returned the keys and Cheryl encouraged us to drive a 2014. She made us feel special like we "deserved" to try and test drive a 2014. She handed us the keys and we were gone down the freeway. We were SOLD on the car! We were so impressed with how "efficient" everything went from paperwork, Daniel getting organized for the finance stuff, and Cheryl even helped me program phone numbers into my car and sync my phone. Very cool! She carefully removed my "good to go" sticker off my old car and was just so intuned to Detail, but it's the "little stuff" that made it so nice.

Since my move to WA from Hawaii, I'm happy that I was referred to Hinshaw Honda by my cousin and her husband who lives in Auburn. Since then, I've been taking my Honda there for service even though I've moved from Auburn to Tacoma. Its a longer driver, but well worth the travel. I have developed a wonderful relationship with ALL of their Service Dept, but mainly Damon Titus who has not failed me once (knock on wood..lol) It is because of this service that I would not go anywhere else (except for 1 instance during my travel from CA to WA), but other than that, I plan my trips and services accordingly. Because I have faithfully maintained my vehicle and took advise from Damon when my car needed the extra attention, I was able to get myself a brand new 2014 Honda Accord EX-L and get an AWESOME trade-in value for my car that I brought from Hawaii with me last year. Thank you to Damon Titus who referred me to Cheryl Krebs to help me with "appraising my car" and who got the car I really wanted. Lets not forget the Finance Mgr, Richard for making it so simple, painless and even with the "curve ball" he was handed with, he made it happen! They were ALL very attentive my my needs and concerns. I will miss my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L, but I know that the next owner will be very proud and happy to own it because it was well taken care of by me and the Service Dept of HInshaw Honda. I want to say "Mahalo" for your wonderful and awesome Customer Service, and you have "Made a Believer out of ME" here in Washington!.

I've been going to Hinshaw Honda since I moved from Hawaii on October 2012. I was referred by my cousin and husband who gave them a high praise due to their excellent customer and caring service. Up until now, I've always gone to this location even though I live 30 minutes away AND there are "2" other Honda locations that I can go to for servicing. Damon and the entire service department has always taken good care of me and my car from when I arrive (opening the door) to when I leave (opening the door) - what service! So on 12/31/13, I've taken the advice from Damon to have my 15K service on my car. At this visit, being that my car has racked up alot of miles during my travels, I have asked for my car to be appraised as well. Well, he referred me to Cheryl Krebs who has taken really good care of my needs and attention. She simply made it so effortless and painless to purchase my car. There were no heavy sales talks, just gave me what I wanted and was on my way to owning my brand new Honda Accord. I have to say, they pay very close attention to details and did not push me to buy something I didn't want or can afford. At the end of my negotiating with Cheryl, she introduced me the the Finance Mgr, Richard who was very helpful and made my purchase very painless even with the curve ball that was tossed in his direction. He made it happen! I want to say "Mahalo" to Damon Titus, Cheryl Krebs, Richard (Finance Mgr) and of course the entire Hinshaw Honda for "Making a believer out of Me!"... What can I say about this dealership except FABULOUS. I bring my 2008 Honda Ridgeline in for oil service and I leave with a brand new 2014 Honda CR-V. I must admit I really wasn't looking for a new car because of other expenditures I've recently incurred. I needed to focus on cutting my expenses and gas mileage. If it weren't for Charles, I would NOT have bought a new vehicle with them. The parts department service is also impeccable an very accomodating. Not only is it great customer service but they care about you. They want you to walk away with the vehicle you have in mind. I was greeted immediately upon walking up to the door and was taken to a salesperson (Cheryl Krebs) who began showing me vehicles. I didn't care for the first one I was shown and when I gave her the specifics of what I was looking for she found the car I wanted in the color I wanted. We reached a number within 15-20mins and finalized the deal within the hour. I came back next day to fill out paper and it was done. That easy. Without a doubt the best car buying experience I've ever had. In comparison to recent visits to other local Honda dealers, our experience at Hinshaw's was night and day. From the very beginning, Cheryl Krebs was engaging, genuine, and very personable. We were in the market for a Pilot and Hinshaw's had exactly what we wanted. We showed up on a whim just before closing on Halloween night. We were NOT expecting to drive away with the nicest car we have ever owned! They let us look around without "attacking" us. When it was clear we had a few questions they greeted us right away. We had 2 small children who were restless with us.... no problem. They had snacks, hot chocolate, balloons, and a play area for them. They later said, "that was the best time ever!" The staff was NOT pushy at all! They were honest and gave us a great price we could handle. The staff walked us through everything and we were in and out with a car we love in no time. Great experience! Not knowing where to go and what to do...I headed to Hinshaw Honda in Auburn where my family has done business for several years. The thought of having to buy an newer vehicle was not what I wanted to think about but when I arrived I had found several vehicles on their used car lot and it was there I found my new car! The staff was awesome, answered all of my questions and let me tinker around all day! It is here where I met my sales associate CHERYL KREBS! It was like going shopping with you oldest and dearest friend...one who knows you, knows what is in your best interest and was supportive to the end. When it came to the finance department...they went the 9 yards folks! When I would get frustrated, they were patient and kind. Every effort was made to assist me and I an honestly say...ALL of the GANG was rooting me on!!! That evening,when all was said and done, Cheryl had my vehicle ready, washed, gassed and my license plates already on! When she handed me the keys and said "It's all yours" I hugged her with tears and I drove out in my new car. It had everything I ever wanted and or needed thanks to my friend Cheryl Krebs and the staff at Hinshaws....you made me believe that anything is possible! Now Cheryl...when are we getting together for lunch?

This was the first time that I have ever gone to a car dealership to purchase and had a completely wonderful experience that I would do over again. No pushy, rude salespeople here. Everyone is customer service oriented and really cares about your needs and what you are looking for in a vehicle, and that's what really matters. I really felt that the cars I viewed were a good fit for me, and not "the ones we're trying to push today" like I've felt at other places in the past. They actually listened when I told them what my price needs and situations were, and matched me with the best car I could afford. When I think of car-buying experiences, I look at them with dread. That pit-of-your-stomach horrible feeling that you get when you walk into a dealership and you have to avoid everyone. I am so happy that this experience was so different. Becki Waskey in sales and Daniel VanWagner in finance made this easily the best car purchase I have ever made, I ended up coming back in less than a month to purchase another car with my husband! The selection is excellent, and both Becki and Daniel have a great way of answering my questions before I even get to them, they are so knowledgeable about everything. Becki really took time to get to know me and my family, and the situations that I really needed to look at that went into my car purchase decision and I couldn't have been more positive about it. She understood my frustration and how "high maintenance" I get when I put up the walls when you're dealing with (most) salespeople, and she always had the kindest words and let me take the time that I needed. Not pushy, not passive-aggressive, just great. The last time I bought a car I had such a horrible experience I really never wanted to deal with a dealership again, and I'm so glad I found Hinshaws. This recent trip (with 2 kids) to Hinshaws was to purchase. Chandler greeted me (us) in the used lot and listened to what I had to say about "must haves" for our next vehicle and how much I was willing to spend. He took time to do comparison test drives with me (and the kids, bantering with them so they felt included in the process). My word to anyone ready to buy a car: 1. know what you can comfortably afford, 2. choose a quality product, 3. familiarize yourself with "financing terms" so the money part does not scare you, 4. Find a trustworthy dealer representative- Chandler (did I mention my kids liked him too?!)

Cheryl was very friendly and helpful. We wanted a 1-2 yr. old car for a reasonable price. After several minutes of discussion she brought around a van that fit our needs and more. It is a year old with very little milage. She answered all of our questions but did not pressure us. Had not planned to buy on this day but ended up with the exact vehicle that we need. It was a three to four hour process which is fairly normal from our experience. She did a couple of extra things for us ( some water and a little snack) since we had missed lunch. That has never been done before in the past. I would definitely do business there again, especially with Cheryl.

Purchased our "NEW" 2013 CR-V from Cheryl, wasn't pushy, gave us the time to research other possibilities, the competition, wasn't as as nice as the CR-V. Called "Cheryl" back the next day, she gave me some numbers to compare "NEW" vs "USED". Made the decision to go with a backup camera and some other upgrades. She got us a great deal on an EX, also on AWD vs. FWD, which is what we first wanted, and an additional discount because we were flexible with color, we really didn't want black. I looked at several different small Crossover AWD vehicles and visited numerous dealerships. Hinshaw's Honda and the proven Honda CRV stuck out from the beginning. James and Charlie at Hinshaw's treated me with respect and didn't inudate me with calls and emails like all of the other dealers. When it came time to make the deal, they listened to my needs, and we quickly came to an agreement. All of the other dealers treated me like I didn't know basic math. I did alot of research on the vehicle and price and knew what would work. I have purchased several new cars from different dealers in the past and thus far my experience at Hinshaw's has been the best.I would highly reccomend Hinshaw's Honda.

I bought a used dodge Ram on 12/22/12. The sales guy said the service department goes through all the vehicles and makes sure they are serviced and ready to go. BS!!! I just took my truck into Les scwab for a front and squeak and they tld me I need new struts and bushings. I went back to Hinshaw's and they said you bought it AS IS. That's CRAP. I have'nt even had the vehicle two weeks. They sold me a truck with bad struts and bushings. Very disapointed with this dealership. I would never buy from them again. Terible people!!!!!! Go to a diffrent dealership !!!!!! The struts have been bad for a long time.....

On 7/20/2012, I purchased a Civic EX-L. Because of how a sales manager Jessie handled my situation, it was by far the worst purchasing experience of my life. This was due to complete lack of compassion, human dignity, sensitivity, and customer service Jessie displayed. In the end, I was an unsatisfied customer. In this case, the sale of the vehicle trumped customer service in a way that I have never experienced before. We had to make a quick decision because I was leaving for a 5 day business trip the next day, my wife didn't have a car, was 26 weeks pregnant, and we had just moved to the area 2 weeks prior from Ohio. In addition, we didn't have furniture due to major issue with United Van lines. We had been sleeping on an air mattress for close to 2 weeks. The delivery of my car was also delayed by 2 weeks. We had no transportation, no furniture, a weeks' worth of clothes, and my wife was pregnant. As you can imagine, we were in a highly stressful situation for a family who just moved across the country with no friends or family in the area. And to top it all off, I had to leave the next morning for a 5 day business trip, and my wife needed transportation. We settled on the EX-L without navigation even though it wasn't exactly what we wanted. My wife needed navigation as we had just moved to the area. We were not keen on using a Garmin, as they are less convenient and in many ways can be a catalyst to car burglary and break-ins. The dealership was closing for the evening, and I signed paperwork for the car but didn't take delivery of the vehicle. The vehicle had to be brought in from another dealership. The next morning, Renton Honda called us back and notified us that they in fact could meet our pricing needs for the EX-L with navigation for $25,500 out the door. My wife and I were very excited because having navigation in the dash of the car was extremely important to my wife. We came from a city where car break- ins were quite common, and we also knew that civics were commonly targeted for theft. After getting the call from Renton Honda, I called Hinshaw Honda back to see if something could be done. I informed the Sales Manager Jessie at Hinshaw of our incredibly difficult move and situation. manufacturer. I wanted to stay with Honda. Jessie informed me that it didn't I explained to Jessie that another Honda dealership was able to meet our needs and asked if he could work something out to match it. Otherwise, I wanted to get the car we wanted at the price we wanted from Honda, regardless of the dealership. He instructed me to come in and speak with him about it. I immediately drove to the dealership. Jessie was not very sympathetic or flexible over the phone. After meeting with Jessie, I explained my family's situation & struggle moving to Seattle and my timeline. Jessie provided absolutely no sympathy or care for my situation and told me that all he could do is find another vehicle and charge me the difference. He said that if he matched Renton's price he would be losing money. Jessie didn't want to lose money. I asked Jessie why something between the Honda dealerships couldn't be done? I wasn't trying to take my business to another matter that Renton was a Honda dealership. Jessie informed me that each dealership is different and in no way shape or form the same. I didn't quite understand how this could be. Jessie told me that the car I had signed paperwork for the night before should be good enough and that it was a good deal. Jessie informed me that I should be happy with the car and that Hinshaw had done "nothing wrong. Jessie didn't want to lose money. I told him that I felt like he was putting the sale of the car ahead of our unique customer needs and ahead of customer service. He had the ability to make the situation right, but he chose not to. I have never had a sales person display such a complete disregard for a customer especially given our unique circumstances. It's amazing to me that this could happen between two Honda dealerships. I wasn't trying to take my business to a competitor. My request for help was made within the Honda brand of dealerships, the Honda family of dealerships. What I have learned is that if Honda cares about customer service, not all of its dealerships are adhering to the standard set by the Corporate Honda brand. I will end with an excerpt directly from the Honda corporate website "Our products are available the world over and we take seriously the responsibility to not just meet, but to exceed the expectations of our customers and ourselves. To do this requires bright minds, close teamwork and a commitment to fulfill our dreams. Does this sound like you?' Perhaps the sales management staff should begin asking themselves those same questions

This dealership has a problem dealing with anything. From scrathing the paint to locks that did not work properly. I went to differant dealership after so many issuses with them. And found out that child door lock was "fixed" with out and declaraction to this. Door locked open. Now they refuse to pay for repairs and stated we bought it used and they would never do that. (paper work said it was new w/ 47mile on it)We have bough 2 hondas new and will never buy another one. oh by the way the custumer srevice number for Honda will not help you either b they are a independent.

Jim, the GM of Hinshaw's in Auburn is a pompous ass with no morals or ethics whatsoever. He's a man (and I use that term loosely) who obviously tries to wield his illegitimate power over others (especially women) in an attempt to boost is overinflated ego. Unfortunately for Jim, anyone with an IQ over 50 can see right through him. I feel sorry for any person that may unknowingly be forced to deal with him. Because of Jim, I will continue to post as many reviews as possible to forewarn anyone considering buying a vehicle at their location. All of the sales personnel were busy with customers. The sales manager came and started talking with us, and in a short time we had the Honda Pilot that my wife wanted. We got a better deal than I had expected to get with the manager throwing in a few extras and also giving us a nice down-payment using the equity in a leased Toyota Rav-4 which I was ready to return to the Toyota dealer in two weeks. I bought a Honda Civic 2010 in 2009 from Hinshaw's Honda of Auburn assuming it was NEW. It had only 9 miles on it when I had purchased it. A couple days ago I went to another dealership to trade in my Honda Civic, during the transaction of the trade you are asked a series of questions regarding your car, like "Were you ever in an accident." Well of course I answered "No" to that question, because from my understanding from when I purchased the car was that I was buying a NEW car straight from the lot with only 9 miles. Well the dealership that I was doing the trade with did a CarFax on my VIN number on my Civic and found that my car was in an accident 7 days before I bought it!!! I was in soooo much shock! They have no code of ethics. They sold me that car knowing that it had been in an accident and did not bother to tell me about it. Moral of the story, it's a good idea to check CarFax on a USED and NEW cars because even a NEW car could have a bad car history on it. The thing that sucks THE MOST about this, is that the value of my car went waaay down because of the accident. I'm still in shock and would like everyone to know of their dishonesty.

I recently visited for an oil change, and they did a great job (as always). Their quality customer service keeps me coming back. I'm treated great every time I visit.

I must have been the easiest sale in auto history. I did the research and knew exactly what I wanted and told them to bring me the Ridgeline. I sat in the lobby while they searched for it and eventually found it. One catch, finance a canopy into it. They went with Canopy West in Auburn and it was incredibly frustrating. Nothing went right with the order and the "Internet" salesman who sold me the truck never followed up on his repeated statements to guarantee satisfaction. 80 days later and too many issues to recant, I finally requested a refund and refused to do business with Canopy West. I informed the "Internet" salesman my intent to get a refund and he said the General Manager of Hinshaws Honda was forcing me to either have them take care installing the canopy or transferring the canopy to Tukwila for installation. I choose none of the above and requested my money back because I wanted to take my business else where. At that point, the "Internet" salesman informed me that I was on my own to deal with this unprofessional company that Hinshaws Honda hooked me up with and refused the refund.Obviously, they do not care about customer satisfaction, from the top down, and I want people to know the type of service I received. I am in the service industry and would get fired for the type of service I got so I want consumers to know how Hinshaws Honda of Auburn does business. If you have the choice and can give your business to another dealership then I would highly recommend it. I wish I did, even with the free car wash with service I will never obtain since I will not take my vehicle there, EVER.

I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a car, especially a Honda. I recently bought a car from Tyler here, who did a great job even though he was pretty new (maybe that's why he did a good job?). He was personable and friendly and did everything he could to make us comfortable. Following the sale, he called us to check in and make sure we were still happy with the car (we are).

My mother has been taking her Honda to Hinshaw for servicing on a regular basis. She is an 85 year old who has no knowledge of mechanics and every time she has taken her vehicle for a basic oil change and fluids check, they have told her that she needs this or that repair. On her recent trip they charged her for a wheel alignment saying she requested one and she doesn't even know what one is. They also recommended that she replace the battery (for a cost of $135) and have the timing belt package (belt and pulleys for a cost of $850) -- on a car with only 35,000 miles! The wheel alignment cost her $60 and they changed absolutely nothing because nothing was out of alignment. I called the service manager and he did not return my call. I waited 10 days and called the franchise manager who was extremely rude and cursed at me. Every time my mother leaves their shop, she is afraid to drive her car for fear it will break down. She was so upset that we had to take the vehicle to another shop to ease her fears -- they said that the car was in excellent condition and the timing package wasn't even a consideration until 60,000 miles -- even though the manager at Hinshaw swore that it was the AGE of the car, NOT the MILEAGE that determines whether the timing package is needed. So beware of leaving your car parked in the garage, as it will certainly cause wear on your timing package and engine!--at least, it will if you take it to Hinshaw Honda for servicing!!

I bought A VTX 1300R from these guys on Nov 20th. When All was said and done, and I paid cash for my bike, I brought up their Bonus Bucks Offer. "Bonus Bucks offer is good with the purchase of new 2006 and prior VTX1300C/R/S models. Bonus Bucks can only be used for purchases at the dealership and must be redeemed on the date of purchase. Offer has no cash value and is not transferable. Redemption value is not to exceed $500. Check with participating Honda Dealers for complete details. Offer good through December 31, 2006." Their salesman said "I've never heard of this offer." I let him know I got the information off their dealership website. He told me he had to "talk to his manager" and he would be right back. When he returned, he said that they would not honor the offer and it had been included in the price of the bike. This was not stated in any of the paperwork or the advertising for the bike.When I let them know I was not satisfied, they let me know that there was no way they were going to honor the offer. I feel no one should buy anything from this buisness and if you do deal with them be prepared to be hustled.

I do have a thick head most of the times. I should have done my research and read reviews about this Honda dealer. One word "HORRIBLE". They advertise a car in VEHIX that I liked and the price was reasonable. When I went in and ask for the same car they offered me a different one but same color and features so I am guessing it would be the same price right? NO, wrong. They would add an additional $500 to the price because they said that they have installed mud guards and wheel locks on all their cars. Did the customers ask for them to be installed? Why would they advertise it in VEHIX $500 less than the actual amount they would sell the car? That is false advertising. Not only that, they tricked me into signing my trade-in into a lesser value. Here's what happened. The first time I came in I bought this car and I was asking for a trade-in value for my car for $8500. Greg told me that the mud guards and wheel locks are extra and they need to charge the customers for it. I was outraged by that so I told them that I can split the price with them, which Greg complied. That brought the trading price to $8250. When signing the contract, Greg showed me that they had to show the deduction of the mud guards and locks from the current car price I was buying, but they had to deduct $500 also from my trade-in, which was fine. That showed my trade-in only for $7700, Greg said it was fine just for showing purposes only. They don't have the car in their property so I had to go home and pick it up the next day. After going home, I called Hinshaws Honda that same day and talked to Rob that I would like to exchange the car to a much upgraded one which Rob said it was fine since the car hasn't been delivered yet to me. The following day, they still chose to deliver the car that I bought to our house since I can't make it to them to pick it up and they want the loaner car right away. The next day, I tried to exchange and buy an upgraded car. John the sales guy and Rob the manager had a real change of attitude now. Since I purchase the first car and just exchanging it the next day, Rob told me that I have to follow by their rules now. First they charged me with the mud guards and locks in addition to the price advertised in VEHIX. Then Rob used my trade-in value for only $7700. He said that that was the amount I have singed on my previous contract. Now why would he use that amount when Greg previously used that amount for showing purposes only and was not the actual amount of my trade-in. My trade-in was $8250 and thats already splitting the cost of the mud guards and locks. So he charged me double on the guards and locks, taking it off from my trade-in and still adding it to the purchase contract. He won't even acknowledge that that was actually what he did or what they did was to trick me. So my total loss was $250 + $500 + 500 = $1250. It might not be a lot of money for you but it is a lot of money for me. I really liked the upgraded car so I had no choice but to play by their rules. So warning to all of you, these guys can play tricks on you. Don't get intimidated by their sales tactics, be smart always ask for a number in writing and not just by words. Or better yet, go somewhere else, these people at this dealership are trained clowns. They will amuse you at first but when you are done, they will take off that mask and show their real character which are "lying blood sucking maggots".
