Buying your first car is always a huge commitment and scary but exciting. Marvin Rivera was a huge help in making my decision to purchase the new 2022 Civic Touring. I had researched for weeks about what car to buy and when I visited the lot and saw they had it in stock, I fell in love. I purchased a 2008 BMW 328i from Hoehn Honda Certified Used Cars and I have NEVER had such an incredible experience in my life. Dante Dodd & Bob Johnson were life changing. My husband and I were not quite sure what to expect since most car dealership interactions are an unpleasant experience. However, I can say with no hesitation our experience with Hoehn Honda Certified Used Cars was so wonderful. The lot had a great selection of cars to pick from and they were attentive to us and our questions without babysitting us or following us around the lot trying to make a sale. They gave us just the right amount of space to look and see what we liked but still gave us the right amount of attention to make us feel important and valued. Buying a car is a stressful experience as it is but Hoehn Honda CUC was amazing, and in our case life changing. We are beyond happy to recommend them to everyone and are especially grateful to have had such nice and helpful people guide us through this process. Purchased a 2016 Honda Pilot touring edition. Arrived at 3 p.m. Home by 7. This included getting financing, trading in my other vehicle and checking out.Fuel wasn't full in the vehicle so I was promised a fill up and a full detailing if of the vehicle. Craig told me to schedule with the office for a time to come Monday through Thursday. I did this and he tank got filled and cart got detailed inside and out.

Thanks for just taking my money and droppinget out! They helped me finance my car which I greatly appreciate since I have lower credit than I'd like, but I only got that deal since my friend was a salesman there. Before I even bought the car there were issues with it like the stereo not working or parts of the plastic falling off, and not to mention they promised me a "full tank of gas" which I did not receive (it was on E but they made me already late for work so I couldn't stay and pitch a fit over it even if I wanted to. Then once I purchase the car and try and bring it in for maintenance to fix it I had to jump through every hoop to get it fixed. The battery died within three weeks of having it. Also I only received one key for the car. I have currently lost that key, completely my fault yes, but I feel any respectable dealership would have given me another set when I purchased the car, or at least that is what else every tow truck company I've had to call to deal with this has said. All in all, as a first time buyer, I'm grateful for them for helping me finance, but that's it. As far as customer service goes, I'll never recommend anyone or buy from them again.

We were given a free oil change due to the last visit there due to a bad experience.Last visit, we were making an appt. per a part that was needed. We were told the part was in, confirmed it by phone, then arrived and the service manager said they never had part.We were encouraged to return and given a free oil change for a future visit.We gave them a second chance and came in for a recall inspection with the plan to simultaneously do this free oil change. We confirmed by phone and in person with service manager. They called to say car was done and we could come pick up. When we came, we asked if oil change was done. The service manager said we never told him we wanted one. I could not believe my ears! My son was with me ( he is 22) 'and we both heard him agree that the oil change would be free and done with inspection!He said it would be another 45 minutes. We could wait or come back. He was very insist that we never told him and did not accept any responsibility for making a mistake.. He was rude.We will never return there no matter what free service they offer us. We are done with them!

Went to 2 dealerships, Poway (I wish I stayed with them) and Hoehn Carlsbad after calling them about their inventory, I knew exactly what I wanted and assured they had many in stock. thinking I should go with one closer to home, that was foolish and mistake #1. I did the paper work (4pm) at 7pm still waiting was told the car I was waiting for just got sold? another was on its way, redo paperwork by 9pm told it was enroute , too tired and anxious to get my new car I waited,mistake #2. Car arrived finally with less than 1/2 tank of gas, their guarantee is full tank so okay I get a voucher to come in and fill up on them. Sales guy and I both tired rushed to get out of there. Next morning I found light damages to the interior and odometer reading 214 miles my paperwork stated 32, I took it back that day and was told I could not return it as it was now considered used, but they threw in a pet cover to to ease my frustration and ignorant as I was I accepted this. Mistake #3. I called to schedule that free fill up, bright car in around 5 and waited again at 6:15 the service mgr came out to tell me that they were unable to fulfill the fill up because the station they take it to closed and to come back. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my experience with Hoehn which he simply replied what do you expect me to do, pay for it out of my pocket. I had to go back for a stuck fuel gauge but have never been back since and have had service needs done elsewhere which happened too often. No, I would say do not consider this Honda dealer go to pacific Honda or Poway Honda even if you live in Carlsbad.

Horrible customer service. Calls are not returned when they are promised, car not ready when promised, and conversations not recognized when picking up car after service. Plus, when I picked up my car, there was a screwdriver in the front seat along with a cable, a whole in my dash where they had removed the radio and left it on the floorboard and a 3" operator manual also on the floor. No apologies by the service rep, just excuses. I will never return to this dealer. I love my Honda and will continue to drive Honda, but will drive to wherever to avoid this dealership. Shame on you Hoehn.

Jesse in the Service Department made this the very best dealer service experience I have ever had. I came in on 09/19/2012, and I forgot to write this review until now, when I cam across my paperwork. This was for a relatvely minor issue, but it was handled quickly and honestly, and I actually felt my business was valued. I've brought my car in to Jesse and Hoehn Honda a few times now and every time I have been impressed. All of the guys in the service team are polite and friendly. They really make an incredible effort to get your car serviced and returned to you as quickly as possible. Jesse has been a great service advisor, too. He is personable, professional, and really goes the extra mile for his customers. He always explains everything and is absolutely honest and upfront about anything that goes one with your car. This was the second time that Jesse was my service advisor this year after not having gone to Hoehn for over a year. All the personnel in the service dept. had changed since I last had my CRV there so I was pleasntly surprised how well I hit it off with Jesse last January and I called him directly yesterday to schedule today's work and today everything was done professionally and courteously so I am very pleased with him and Hoehn Honda's maintenence of my vehicle. I will continue to return here for service as long as I own the car and live in the area. That is why I give Jesse a great rating. Came in for a check engine light due to my transmission being shot. Jesse did a great job of finding me an affordable refurbished transmission, and installed it in a timely fashion. I had some more trouble with the transmission (which was purchased from an outside company, not Honda), and Jesse was very helpful and honest in getting it taken care of. The customer service here made what was some stressful/time consuming car trouble all the more bearable. They were very kind and thorough with their work.

I have been coming to Hoehn Honda for over 12 years because of their consistent good service. In fact, the reason I first bought a Honda was because of business dealings I had with their service department. I was so impressed it made me want to buy a Honda so they could service it. I bought a used 95 Civic which they handled the service as if it were a brand new vehicle. We purchased a 2003 Honda Odyssey in May 2003 from Hoehn as they were the best in price and handling of other dealers. We have had our Odyssey maintenance service done regularly at Hoehn Honda ever since. We have recommended many people to buy a Honda and have it serviced at Honda because of what we have experienced.When my previous service advisor left, I was worried that my experience may not be the same. I was so relieved and extremely happy to find that Jesse Alonso carries on with the impeccable service qualities we have come to depend on. I noticed every detail that I believe makes a good service advisor: listening to what customer vehicle concerns are and writing them down promptly, giving estimate of service cost without trying to "up-sell", being reliable about calling when promised and doing their best to deliver vehicle in time frame projected. Jesse is outstanding in all these areas. He is professional, polite, and reliable and available even though the service drive with many customers can be quite daunting. I always ask for him because it gives me peace when I turn over my vehicle to him to handle my service concerns.I hope that he will be recognized as a part of what makes people choose Hoehn Honda over many other dealers and keeps us coming back rather than go elsewhere.

Jesse was able to provide the type of service and care that I am looking for when I go to an auto repair shop. He was very respectful and listened to my requests and made sure those services were completed. Jesse understood my need to "just come in for an oil change," but also explained that the Service Team would also do a thorough inspection of my vehicle and offered to have my car washed. I've been going to this dealership for maintenance since 2009 when I moved to Oceanside. I've worked with several service representives over the years & they were all great. This last year Kesean has been really good with ensuring that I received the proper services for my vehicle & that I was well informed of any additional necessary maintenance along with an explanation of how why damages occur. I was shown excellent customer appreciation when I was placed in a courtesy rental while the technicians worked diligently to diagnose a lingering fuel sensor problem. Travelled all the way to Carlsbad from Mission Valley because of the consistently excellent experiences I've had with Scuba Ron Durie at Hoehn Honda. This time we thought we wanted a GMC SUV and so Ron met us at the Hoehn GMC/Buick dealer. We told the man at GMC that we were waiting for Ron, but he tried to hook us up with one of his GMC salesmen (and I assume cut Ron out of the deal). No way! We decided to follow Ron back down to Honda to look at the Pilot. First car he put us in...we purchased! He listens and he pays attention to what you want; he doesn't oversell or sell you something you don't need. He doesn't waste your time showing you cars that don't meet your criteria. I was also very impressed with the manager at Hoehn Honda. What a great guy!! He helped us get 0.9% financing so that on a $34,000 car we're paying less than $1000 in interest. It just doesn't get any better than that. Highly recommended!

I have now been to this dealership twice. I actually bought my vehicle at another dealership and always had it dealer serviced there, however the customer service at "the other palce" was not up to par in my opinion. I was fortunate enough to work with Jesse on both occasions at Hoen and I am blown away by the customer service he has provided. He went above and beyond meeting my expectations the last time my vehicle came in for brake pads and new tires. I went in with my fiance and my little brother to lease a new car and Don was great to work with. He made us all feel comfortable and made looking at cars bearable. He wasn't pushing us to make any decision we weren't comfortable with and we were able to come home with a brand new Honda Civic and still love it! I needed to replace a side door guard and the parts dep't ordered it. Said it would take 3-5 days. After 10, I called them and they said it was in. I was upset that nobody called me and I had to chase after them. However, when I spoke to Jesse in the service dep't abour this, he took my car right in so that I wouldn't be inconvenienced a second time. I greatly appreciated his efforts and the wait time was very short and the price quoted for time/labor very fair and accurate. I will definitely go back to this dealership and I will ask to work with Jesse. He was polite, friendly and accommodating. Thanks, Jesse!

Whenever there is something my car needs I immediately take it to Hoehn Honda. Omar is always there and he is very helpful. He explains to me what they will do to the car and the wait usually is very short. When I don't feel like waiting at the dealership I use the shuttle, its easy, convenient and the driver is always very nice.

Avoid this dealership for any service. Brought my Honda in because service light was on. Called first and told service I just spent $600 in repairs not sure why the light is on now. Jessie called me back and said it needed to be checked. I was told it needed new brakes even though they were replaced only 20,000 miles before. Okay another $400 bill but that is not the worst of it. After a 2 hour wait, they drive my car up with the passenger seat all the way back and when it was put back up the back panel fell off. Clearly they broke the seat back. I was told they would take care of it, however, when I called back a week later I was told the manager had to look at it beforehand. I was inconvenienced by having to bring it back again waiting another 2 hours only to find out that they will let me know. Another week and I called and was told they had to order the part which would take a week. Two weeks later and 2 unreturned calls to the serviceman I called the parts department to find that the part was there for 2 weeks. Now I am told I have to take time off work to have it fixed so there mechanics can leave at 4PM. Gee I sure would hate for them to be inconvenced to fix the problem they caused in the first place. Worst customer service ever!

The people at Hoehn Honda should be ashamed of themselves. My widowed elderly mother bought a new car from them shortly after my father died. She has been going in regularly for service and performing every recommended tune-up, including new filters and having her tires rotated. Now, after putting only 20,000 miles on a brand new set of tires they sold her, she was been told that the alignment has been off and her tires are ruined. They refused to prorate or give her any discount on a new set. After my sister went in and complained and they refused to do anything, my mother went to Firestone to purchase the tires. While there, they informed her that her filter has NEVER been changed! My mother has receipts from Honda verifying that they changed it multiple times. Sounds pretty fishy, so I started researching them on the Internet. It seems this company is charging for services that they do not perform. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am not the only one! Stay away from this business. Anyone who would take advantage of vulnerable consumers should be put out of business!

We visited this dealer to test drive a new Honda. They required us to allow them to make a copy of our driver's license. I refused because of possible use for other reasons. The first sales person just walked away from us once we said we wouldn't allow them to make a copy. We continued to look at the cars on their lot and eventually another person came out to see if he could make a copy of license. He was very smooth, but we once again refused. This second sales person too just walked away, with a few sarcastic comments. We visited 3 other dealers for test drives; 2 didn't even ask to see our license and the 3rd did ask but didn't make a copy.

This dealership is horrible. I've taken my 2000 Accord there several times, several years ago, and will never do it again. The first time, the service advisor tried to tell the technician to put the wrong part on (starter), in front of me. Thankfully the technician refused (not sure if that can even be done, but to even suggest it is ridiculous). When I got the car back, the radio wasn't working, so I took it back, only to be told that was my problem. They didn't know where the radio code was and couldn't find it and wouldn't call Honda corporate to trouble shoot. I had to do all the work, then when I did, they told me I was lucky they didn't charge me to fix this. Come to find, it's something I can do myself and is only a matter of pressing a few buttons. I tried to go there another time and asked for shuttle service from Oceanside, and was told I would have to figure out if I was in their radius, and when I told them where I lived (several miles away in Oceanside) they told me they didn't know where that was and weren't responsible for using a map to find it. I have a need for repair again and am going to try Wesloh Honda in Capristrano and am hoping that I get better results. Most everyone I came into contact with at Hoehn was rude and not helpful at all.

They didn't fix my car's problem. I complained to the general manager and he said they'd pick up the car and thoroughly investigate the problem. None of that happened. I sent a followup note saying none of what was promised came true, but they haven't responsed.I had gone here many times over the past few years. You'd think they'd want to keep a regular customer happy. Nope.

I drive a Honda S2000. The car was brought in to just repair interior pieces (soft top striker). I reset the trip B on the car to 0 before I brought it in. When I returned, .5 miles had been put on the car. The work done on the interior was good, however the convertible top would not go down. My service adviser drove the car to the mechanic. As he fixed the top, the mechanic repeatedly and unnecessarily revved my engine (modified exhaust) over the course of a minute. No reason to do this, he was obviously the one out enjoying my sports car (I've worked at a car dealership, seen it a thousand times). My service adviser, John, was excellent and followed up with me routinely. The dealership even did some warranty work I expected to pay out of pocket. An otherwise great dealership experience was tarnished by an incompetent and irresponsible mechanic.I also purchased an oil filter from this dealership (about 40% more expensive than what you'd pay online). They gave me the wrong filter, causing me to go out to Autozone and purchase a non-oem filter in the middle of an oil-change (very frustrating). I returned to the dealership the next day and they replaced it with the correct part.

Horrid customer service. Rude and condescending. We won't be back. My wife scheduled the service appointment 3 weeks ago. She said the girl hung-up on her. I dropped the car off last Wednesday and was treated very rudely. Prices seemed to be higher than my other dealer.

We have used for Hoehn intermittedly for servicing our 2000 Civic LX sedan and have been pleased with the service we receive. I say intermittedly because we have also used a local independent service provider, which we are unlikely to do any longer. On some recent service needs, Hoehn actually was significantly less expensive (and did less work) than the independent. And, importantly, the car now runs better than it has for some time. So I can recommend them. Good people that do good work. Like all dealers, you pay more than you would need to pay with a competent independent service operation; the trick is fining a COMPETENT independent service operation among the forest of incompetents. A good dealer like Hoehn saves one that problem.

The salesman there had such an attitude. We were treated as though he was doing us a favor by letting us test drive their minivan. Such disgusting manors and behavior. Don't waste your time. Poway Honda was a better experience.
