I saw a vehicle listed for sale on an aggregate website, and decided to get in contact with the dealership. I talked to Ken for most of my interactions with them, and he was kind and to the point, which I highly appreciate. After some back and forth, the vehicle ended up needing more service than was initially anticipated, but they made sure to do everything before I arrived. I was frustrated at first, because they were saying they had a lot of interest in the vehicle but that I couldn't come test drive it yet because it was in their shop. Looking back, I would've done the same thing, as they wanted to make sure it was in perfect shape so I wouldn't waste my time. My only complaint is that the vehicle, while in fantastic shape mechanically with a very nice and clean interior, ended up being too rusty to be worth the trouble. I would've appreciated having that information prior to coming out there, but the vehicle I was looking at rusts in a very specific and particular way, and it was a trade in, so I do not blame them for not realizing which critical areas needed to be checked. Overall, even though I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from them, they were an absolute breeze to work with. It's a nice, clean store, and the atmosphere there is very low pressure. I want to especially thank Ken and his manager who's name I unfortunately have forgotten, as they were totally up front and honest with me, and seemed like they genuinely cared about my experience with the test drive and the condition of the vehicle. When I let Ken know I would not be purchasing the vehicle in question, instead of not responding he reached back out to let me know it was not a problem. I hope this dealership gets a good example of the car I'm looking for, as I would love to purchase from them. Highly recommend.

The service here was fine. I was overcharged by the quick lane service. They charged me way more than I was quoted on the phone, to change the spark plugs of an F150. They ended up charging me $882 to change spark plugs. Which should be a recall on the truck, and the dealership knows this.

Tony in sales was great right from the start. Very welcoming. My wife and I came in with our three kids under the age of three (twins+ toddler) and knew we were working with possible meltdowns. He made sure to expedite the process as best he could. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in despite the vehicle not being a Ford. He knew the history of the vehicle and made us feel comfortable making a used vehicle purchase.Glen in finance was great as well. Found us a good rate at the bank we are currently with as well as a bumper to bumper warranty for our peace of mind. He also worked swiftly to ensure a timely departure for us.

We bought two new 2002 Ford Focuses (ZX5 hatchback and ZTW wagon) at Hopkins Ford and have relied on and valued the Hopkins service dept for maintaining these cars. I just bought a Ford Transit Connect Wagon from Hopkins and was able to give the ZTW to my daughter and son-in-law since it was in perfect mechanical condition. We called ahead and they had the car waiting for us to test drive. They let us take the car for a drive without a salesperson. When we returned they were quick to get an estimate on our trade-in and to talk numbers. Very friendly without being pushy or overbearing. Great experience.

I purchased my gently used Toyota Highlander from here and it was a better experience than the Toyota of Naperville dealership. I contacted Israel by email to make sure the car was still available. He responded quickly and we scheduled a test drive. Showed up, we took a quick tour of the car and then test drove it. I did notice some hail sized dents on the car when taking the tour. Israel explained if i purchased the car they could get those out with no problem. So, I shared my budget with Israel and then with Joe and we worked together to get to an affordable purchase price. Joe exceeded my expectations on the price and and I couldn't say no. Took my care home that same day. They also removed all the dents. Very glad I made the drive from Oswego.

Rich Depierre took my purchase over from another salesman and did a great job. He was helpful and responsive and helped me close the deal. I told him I had a limited time window to sign the papers and take delivery and he had things ready for me so I was able to spend a minimal amount of time in the dealership and move on to my next task of the day. I think I got a good deal on the car I purchased and they gave me a good amount on my trade as well. I would recommend the dealership and Rich.

Tony is extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells and he stands behind his vehicles 100%. I know I drove away with a very safe vehicle. I went to Hopkins Ford after an extremely bad experience at Elgin Hynduia, I can't believe the difference in the way I was treated, Tony was not afraid to show me paperwork on the vehicle or the figures in getting to the price. Tony showed me the car details that ford uses that is equivalent to a car fax. Tony shared every detail about this vehicle with no hesitation. I brought my F250 into Ron Hopkins because it was starting very hard. After they looked my truck over, they said I needed new glow plugs at a cost of $900. I was floored, but that turned into anger when I brought it home and found they had NOT fixed the problem. I brought it back and they replaced the batteries. You would think they would have checked that BEFORE charging me $900 for glow plugs I didn't need. Called them and said it was running worse than ever and they proceeded to tell me it was my injectors. $1800-3000 to fix. Are you kidding me?! Be warned people: It's a classic and reprehensible bait-and-switch at Ron Hopkins.

Bought a new 2016 explorer from them and one week later I seen there was something wrong with the paint so I took it back to them and they sent it to the body shop to see what it was they called it paint pop and needed to wet sand it after they did the they gave me my car back (now I had a black truck with white dots all over it) they told me that now they have to repainted the whole car. So they did it took them four weeks and when I picked it up the orange peel is so bad the paint will wave a you when you look at it and the inside of the truck is so dirty the car looks like it's 5 years old when I brought it to the owners attention he said to me "how do I know you did do that to the interior and that the paint looks good" when I just picked up the car he is a joke. And will not fix the car the correct way the dealer ship is a joke like he is. Last year I had my f-250 diesel there for a no start and they told me that it needed a new motor and would cost $12000.00 so I had it towed out of there and took it to another ford dealer and they fixed it for $500.00 they only care about how much money they can get out of you STAY AWAY STAY AWAY form jay Hopkin and Tony Nykolajcuyk they lie about everything STAY AWAY STAY WAy

I called in this afternoon inquiring about a car. The employee took my name and number and said they'd make sure to tell their manager to have the car ready when I got there later that afternoon. I drove from over an hour away so this was very nice of them on their behalf. Unfortunately, when I got there we'd just sat down waiting to talk to someone about the car and noticed another potential buyer eyeing the same car. They sat down with someone before we did (even though they arrived after us) and we're talking about getting the same car. Literally, within minutes, the car I drove over an hour to see was sold to the other people. The seller told me on the way out that if I ever needed to buy a car to come see them about getting a new one. Are you kidding me?! Ha! What a joke. Waste of time from my family, money in gas...to be told the car would be there for me only to have it taken from underneath my nose. Wow. I didn't bother to speak to a manager because they were all so unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone looking for a good car. Their lack of professionalism is sad. I don't know how they can be so crass to one customer and sell the same car to another.This is by far the most negative experience I've ever had buying a car. Didn't even apologize to me. Never coming to this place again. Stay away! Go to a REAL dealer, quality and professionalism is not found here.

I was promised Crystal Fusion reapplication when I had my windshield replaced. Replaced windshield, Still waiting 2 months later. I was up front about the areas I drive in knowing that the windshield would get replaced and was told that crystal fusion would be reapplied free of charge as long as I owned the vehicle. Now I was informed that I may have to pay for the reapplication.

I've been having my Escape serviced at Hopkins Ford since I moved here 3 years ago, and I keep going back for their friendly, knowledgeable service. When I took it in for an oil change yesterday, I thought it might be interesting to look at some newer models. Drew Kissel was so helpful in showing me the right car and explaining all the new features that I decided to go ahead and take the leap. The atmosphere at Hopkins Ford is relaxed and friendly, and everyone in sales, as well as service, really goes the extra mile to help customers feel welcome. While that friendliness is important, the staff are also very knowledgeable and patient. That combination earns an excellent rating from me.

Tried to purchase a up-grade for the Navigation system (Maps), Hopkins price was considerably higher then other dealership. Same experience with extended warranty insurance. Actually was charged more for dealer installed parts (Filters) during my last routine service. After I complained the "overage" was refunded. Sales and service personnel and experience are fine, after market (parts etcetera) sales leaves a bad taste. Fixing the issues should not have been needed in the first place. I really dislike leaving a negative review for a dealership I originally thought was great.

From the moment we walked in (with no intent to buy,just look) everything was great. Everyone dreads getting hounded at the dealerships, but this was not the case at all. Our salesman Drew seemed like a friend and someone you can trust. He made us want to buy the car due to his friendly demeanor. We test drove the car and still didn't feel pressured. We visited other dealers but decided we wanted to give Ford out business. We didn't have the dreaded haggle experience and we both came to a deal that was great on both ends. Meeting with the finance guy took about 10 minutes and we were done. This was the best experience at a dealership we ever had! We are thankful for Drew and the friendly staff at Ford! They were all so wonderful and we will be coming back for all vehicles going forward.

I went to the dealer to look at a used car I had seen online. Unfortunately, that car had been bought but Mike showed me the cars on the lot that were in my price range and one of the cars caught my attention. I wound up purchasing that car for the price I wanted, plus this auto was 5 years newer than the auto I came there to see. I would recommend this dealer and my salesman Mike Holcomb. I went back to Hopkins Ford, because they treated me well and with respect when I purchased my last vehicle with them. They again treated me with respect, and helped me find the vehicle I wanted, and worked hard with me to get the best deal possible. I not only got the truck I wanted, they gave me ideas, and suggestions on where to go, to get the final things I wanted done. After I had purchased the truck, I noticed the leather interior head rest, was rippled, as if it wasn't sewn right. They not only listened to my concerns, they replaced the head rest on the spot with a different one, so i didn't have to wait until the warranty repair was done. They are very professional, and cooperative. They let me keep my old truck for an extra couple of days so that I could remove my equipment and stickers that were on it. They even delivered my new truck to me while I was at work! Drew was an excellent salesman, I met with him a couple times before we settled on the truck that I bought. I am extremely happy, and will definitely be back in the future when looking for either a new or additional vehicle. Well done guys, it was a pleasure to work with you!!JD

I went here because as a kid my dad would buy cars. I haven't always bought cars from them but the 2 that I currently own are both from this place. The second car I bought was used and after a few weeks of driving I found (after being stopped) that my window tinting was too dark for Illinois law. Even though it was sold used, Jeff took care of me, gave me a rental for a day and took my car to have the tinting removed. Didn't cost me anything. They really impressed me because they didn't have to do that for me. I will be returning the next time I need a car because of the great service I received from them. They always try to get you the best deal possible.

My car buying experience at Hopkins Ford was excellent! I first met with, Jeff, who was very personable and enthusiastic about helping me find my new car. I had my heart set on a white Mustang with black interior and black convertible top. After checking with all possible dealers in the area, Jeff informed me that there were none available at this time, so I chose to special order my car. Jeff went over all the options available thoroughly, so I could decide exactly what I wanted. I found the car comes with so many standard features, the only option I ended up ordering was the automatic transmission. Originally, Jeff told me that it may take about three months to get my special order and he later sent me an email when he had gotten the VIN number from the factory. He then sent me another email telling me my car was in only 6 weeks later. When I arrived to pick up the car, Jeff turned me over to Tony, who explained all the physical features of the car, as well as the almost mind-numbing workings of the information center. Tony also programmed my cell phone and demonstrated the call procedures. He also said I shouldnt hesitate to call him or come in to see him, if I have any questions at all. Tony was very great and very patient and thoroughly addressed all my concerns. I dealt with Glenn for the financial portion of the transaction and he handled my title, license transfer, and payment very efficiently. In all, I had a great experience working with all the friendly people at Hopkins Ford and I will definitely recommend to anyone I know looking for a new or used vehicle.

This is our 3rd Ford in 3 years from Ron Hopkins Ford, and we have had great experiences with all of them. Service dept is excellent as well, and their new Fast Oil change area is very nice. I brought my 2004 Lincoln navigator in to have the rear shocks replaced. I saw crooks right away (victor, bob the manager. they tried to tell me my air bags were bad and needed to be replaced. I declined my air bags were fine. they kept my truck for three days adding charges after charges. my final bill was 2,044.91 for two rear shocks. the final bill states customer says air system is sagging. I never told them that. I had to pay my truck was being held hostage. I repeat if you want fair service do not go here.

Buyer beware! I bought a 2008 Acadia from Hopkins Ford and was that thing a nightmare. A month after owning it, the sunroof leaked profusely when it rained. Water was all over the roof interior, it was coming down the driver side door, it puddled at the bottom of the drivers feet. It was a shocking experience. This caused me to realize that the driver's side floor mat was new and black, a different color then the rest of the car which was grey. I also noticed a lot of rusty build up at the foot of the driver as well. So this vehicle was always leaking like this while the dealer had it on the sales lot and all they did was swap out the mat instead of fixing the problem.Well I called them on it, they of course they knew nothing about it, they told me that they weren't aware of any leaking while they had the vehicle for two months. That this was the first of hearing of it. No big deal I thought, maybe they'll fix it. Nope, they couldn't fix, I had to take it to GMC and pay over $500 to repair something that they should have done before selling it.

I bought a new Escape from Tony Nykolajcuyk and it was my best experience compare to all my past experiences when buying a car. He was extremely pleasant and I felt he did everything he could for me to get me exactly what I wanted. He is a great salesman! I will recommend him to anyone. We came in not looking to buy a vehicle, but after seeing a few and test driving 2 of them, we decided to see if we could get approved for a second car loan. It took a very long time but Joe and the Fianicial manager kept at it for over 2 hours to get us approved and get us in a good car. I am really happy with, now 2, of my vehicles i have purchased from these guys. I went there as a kid with my parents and even Joe who was working there at the time still remembered me years later. Great guys all of them.

Found them to be rude at times. We did end up buying the car but got conned into GAP insurance. Not sure I would go back. I will also be cancelling the insurance as they lied about it saying if I didnt take it my rate would go up. Did not feel they were honest about a lot of things.

Came in on a Tuesday to check out the Fusion I had on my short list. I was pleasantly surprised that the salesman Tony actually could explain the details of the car. He gave an informative and enthusiastic demonstration. For years buying a car I would know more about a model than a salesman would. I explained I needed to bring my wife back the next day. Tony was not going to be in then but put me in touch with Angelo. Came back the next day was given to the salesman Mike and he took over where Tony left off, seamless transition. I received good value for my trade in, fair discount on the car, a rebate and 0% financing. I would recommend this group for someone who doesn't like the car buying experience, first time car buyer and the haggler.

By the time I had visited Hopkins I test drove many different cars from many dealers before deciding on a particular model as my next car. I was in no rush to purchase a convertible in November, but I had a price range and preferred color\model and I test drove a car that fit that niche. At no time was there pressure to close a deal. Having bought cars in the past that involved shouts and insults, a no pressure sale is a welcomed place. When it came down to price negotiations I came fully prepared with comparable figures. I would guess that Hopkins thought I got that killer deal (and I certainly had time, months really to play hardball for a winter convertible) but in the end I got the car for what I truly believed to be a fair price. This has certainly been one of my most pleasant (if not the best) experiences I had with a car dealership. I hope others experience the same treatment.

Needed a new car for my Wife as hers had been "Totaled". She was looking at the Ford Focus as her next car. I was out test driving a Focus at a non Ford dealership down the street. As I was headed home I saw Hopkins Ford and thought what better place to find a good used Focus than a Ford dealer. The wife specifically wanted Silver with a darker interior. I was greeted by a salesman named Israel Gonzalez who asked me what I was looking for and immediately took me to the one they had, but it wasn't right. Israel asked me if I had considered a Fusion. I said I thought they were out of my price range, about $10k. He led me to a very nice looking Fusion that fit everything my wife and I were looking for except the price, about $13k but only 27k miles. Israel offered me a test drive so I accepted. I quickly realized why I didn't like the other cars I had driven. A Focus is not a Fusion.....that was the problem.To make a long story a bit shorter, Israel professionally led me through each step of the buying process and made the whole thing very enjoyable. I've purchased many cars during my lifetime and the process can sometimes feel excruciatingly painful, but my experience at Hopkins Ford was one of the best I have had. Friendly, Professional, and Thorough, from Israel in sales to Bill in finance, my wife and I had a great experience and she absolutely LOVES the Fusion. Israel was smart. He listened and put us in the vehicle that was right for us.I would recommend Ron Hopkins Ford in Elgin, IL to anyone seeking a great car buying experience. My husband and I found a 2010 Mazda CX-9 at Hopkins Ford via internet research. We found the car to be in great shape and Israel Gonzalez to be patient and friendly. We were able to quickly test drive the car without giving all of our information (unlike an earlier experience at another Ford dealership). And, Israel and Angelo worked hard to make the numbers work for us. When we decided to sleep on the decision, they did not give us a high pressure pitch, but followed up the next day. They were able to make a deal we were willing to accept. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and willing to answer our questions, but also give us space to make our decision. We would recommend this dealer to our friends.

Not only did they not stand behind the car they sold- they didn't even have the common courtesy to send back my garage door opener that was left in the trade in that I called them about not an hour after the sale took place. Said "oh ya, no problem- will do right away" a month later and still nothing. Have called twice about the issue with the car and have never had a return call. Sad thing is they pawned the problem of the passenger door not remote unlocking due to the low battery at test drive, reassured me that it was due to the battery issue and they do full inspections of their used cars and when I called about the issue the next day it was "Sorry will talk with a manager and then they never followed up- . Unbelievable that they care so little after the deal was done. Buyer beware- wolves in sheep's clothing.

I inquired about a used car through the cars.com site, and received both an e-mail and phone call from the internet sales manager. I had very specific demands for what I needed, and he e-mailed me information with several options that fit my needs. I still however have not purchased a car as of yet, but I am very satisfied with my experience with Hopkins Ford.

I recently purchased a slightly used Ford Flex from Ron Hopkins Ford and was pleasantly surprised how the experience went. I never was pressured and thought the negotiations ended up with a fair deal for both parties. Jason Milburn made the whole thing go quite smoothly. My brother asked me how it went and I told him he should consider Ron Hopkins Ford when it comes time to buy his next truck.

From the moment I arrived Jason was friendly and very thorough. He answered every question I had and when I didn't know the questions to ask he provided me with additional information based on commonly asked questions. He made sure I understood everything and helped me get situated in my new car. However, even from the beginning I never felt pressured to buy a car or additional features. He spent a lot of time answering my husband's questions and was great with follow up emails and calls. He had many great suggestions for us and selected a few cars for us to look over. They really work so good as a team and together they were able to get us 0% financing even when we thought it was impossible. Tony Nykolajcuyk and the teams members of Ron Hopkins ford were outstanding in the services that we received when we purchased our car if anyone is considering buying a car or truck or SUV you need to visit Ron Hopkins Ford you won't get the kind of service at any other dealership. We have purchased over 6 vehicles from them they treat you with the respect that you should receive when purchasing a vehicle. They are not pushy, you ask questions they answer them truthfully they do not pressure you into buying anything just so they can make a sale.

I decided to go look at cars one night since I normally trade my car in every 3 or 4 years because of getting antsy and bored with them. I was comparing a few different cars and narrowed my choices between the Ford Focus and the Dodge Dart. I went to the local Dodge dealership and looked at different cars in the lot for about a 1/2 hour and not 1 person approached me to see if I had any questions. I had planned on test driving the Dart to see if I liked it. Being a little disappointed, I went across the street to Ron Hopkins Ford to look at the Focus. After a few moments of looking, a salesman by the name of Israel came out and asked if I had any questions. After talking a bit, Israel showed me a demo 2013 Focus Titanium on the showroom floor. I immediately liked the looks and feel of the car and wanted to test drive the Focus. We test drove a 2014 they had on the lot but was a little disappointed with the driver leg room and seat position. I went and sat back in the demo in the showroom and surmised that Ford, when revising the 2014, must had changed dimensions of the seating slightly and the 2013 was a lot more accommodating for me as far as room. Israel answered all the questions I had and I felt really comfortable with him. All I can say is after a little bit of negotiating, they gave me a great price for both the 2013 Focus AND my trade-in. I walked out a happy man.By the way, I've also bought my wife a Ford Fusion from there.....Great deals...Great prices....and Great People to deal with!!

I had been searching for a new ford focus st at a dealership near my house that had all the bells and whistles I had wanted, and found ron hopkins ford through google. I read up on the reviews and they seemed good so i headed out and was greeted by salesman Tony Nykolajcuyk while browsing the lot. He was very friendly and very non pushy, and answered all my questions without any bull**** answers, just a generally good man. After driving around and explaining the many various features of the car and learning a little more about eachother we sat down for business. The whole time he was extremely curtious and not once did he try to pressure us into anything not wanted. He understood our situation with our previous car and the leftover debt from the crash and worked out a great deal to make this care very affordable. This was probably the first time at a dealership that i never once felt like some product was just being shoved in my face and pressured to buy. I would definatly recommend buying here and already recommended to my wife and friends.

I was looking for a car to resolve a specific comfort issue due to a injury on my current car. While the Ford product didn't solve my particular issue, the dealership and Glenn we both awesome to deal with. I wish the car had worked out for my issue because they really came through in helping me out, allowing me to test drive multiple models and the final model several times. They were respectful to my need and did everything they could to help me out.

Ron Hopkins Ford is the only Ford dealer I go to when buying a car or truck. I have been buying from them and having my cars or trucksserviced for over twenty years. I bought my first Mustang GT there when I was 20 years old from Tony and he is still there!! Its nice tosee all the familiar faces there over the last 22 years! It tells me alot about their business at Ron Hopkins Ford. They are as dedicated to their customers as they are to their employees. Awesome people there! Tony is a great salesmen and a good person. My wife and I went to Ron Hopkins Ford this weekend to purchase a new vehicle, and we do not have enough nice things to say about the dealership.We mainly dealt with the sales team, and the salesman who assisted us, Juvenal Soriano, was very helpful in preparing the purchase paperwork and showing us how the technology in the car worked (Sync equipped car). He even showed me how to program my phone for bluetooth. We were treated well and were sold a great car (Taurus Limited) at a great price without the usual hassle.This is the latest of several cars my wife and I have purchased at the dealership, and we will continue to keep coming back as we need service and new vehicles. I am excited to see how the dealership looks after they complete the remodel. Keep up the good work!!!

However, Jason was able to take that fear away and direct me to two beautiful Ford Fusions. I decided to go with the Black 2012 Ford Fusion. My Husband and I have been buying car from this dealership for 20yrs. I have not once been disappointed with the service or my experience. My husband tell them what he wants and the dealer (Tony or Joe) finds him the best car for a great price. It feels like a family going to buy a car from them.

I called Ron Hopkins Ford looking for a much larger vehicle to replace my Prius Station wagon V 5 and I was connected with Jason Milburn. He listened to what I was looking for and asked me to come into the dealership. He showed me the new Ford Flex and then based on size needs directed me to the new van Ford has coming out. Jason spent an hour with me going over all of the details about the van and was EXTREMLY helpful. He is a great guy and no one, absolutely no one knows their product line better than Jason. The issue was the van was not going to be released for a month or so and I needed a vehicle NOW! We looked at the F150 truck line and other alternatives but could not come together on a price for a great used F150 Lariat. I ultimately found what I was looking for in another car line, purchasing a 2012 Ram 1500 4WD Longhorn from another dealer. I wrote this review for 2 reason's 1 being Jason is a knowledgeable car/truck sales person and second he is absolutely one of the nicest guys I have dealt with in vehicles sales. I would not hesitate to look at a ford in the future using Jason. Thanks for your candid insights Jason!!!

After looking on Cars.com I found a vehicle that Ron Hopkins offered that I was interested in. Upon arrival at the dealership I was greeted at the Door by Ron McKinley. Ron was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I test drove the car that was advertised on cars.com and it was as described. This one owner vehicle is flawless. When it came time to negotiate the process was pleasant. They came down to where I needed them to be and then knocked off another bit of money to seal the deal. I am happy with the 2010 Ford Escape I purchased and when looking for another car will make Ron Hopkins Ford and Ron McKinley my first stop!!

We took our 06 Taurus to ron hopkins for a starting problem. They kept the car for a month and during that time the car repeatedly exhibited the starting problem. They either did not devote the time necessary to diagnose and repair the problem or lacked the expertise to deal with the issue. The car was returned with the same issue and I was presented with a $125 charge for I guess a month of parking. I was told since no codes were present in the computer nothing could be done. I can't help but make a comparison to kids coming out of public schools today unable to do math with out a calculator. Obviously background\experience are not essential qualifications for employment a ron hopkins ford.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'd like to clarify a couple things in Jeff Hopkins response:"Tom had previously taken his vehicle to a shop in St. Charles that could not replicate the problem after towing it in, but replaced his fuel pump"The "problem" at that time was that the vehicle wouldn't start. The shop had no issue replicating this problem and replaced the fuel pump as per my authorization." I then talked to my 2 technicians that worked on the vehicle, and we decided that we were comfortable that the problem was either the fuel pump or the fuel regulator. I called Tom and told him that we are not comfortable with educated guesses"This only happened after I posted a complaint here. I did authorize replacement of fuel regulator as it was the only suggestion ever offered. I sent a letter to the dealership shortly after our 1st visit expressing my dissatisfaction and received no response. The suggestion\diagnosis on the 1st bill was "vehicle will have to act up more often in order for use to diagnosis properly". "The following afternoon I personally called Tom to see if he experienced any of the same symptoms that he had experienced before the repair, and he said it's only been a day but it hasn't exhibited the same problem yet,"I did receive this call but car was still at dealership and I hadn't seen it since repair.Here is a copy of a fax I sent to dealership summarizing my issues: Att: Jeff Hopkins 10 10 13 Jeff, I want to thank you for your help in coming up with a possible solution to the starting problem with our 06 Taurus. I'm told the car exhibited the starting problem yesterday but did start today after installation of fuel regulator. We'll see if this rectify's the issue.With that being said I have to admit I'm unhappy with the $125 bill we paid for our 1st visit. I don't feel we received the attention or service's we paid for. I feel the suggestion of replacing the fuel regulator should have been made at that time and the fact you had the car for a month and even after that amount of time nothing was done or even suggested indicates a failure to address our issue adequately. It wasn't till I posted a complaint to a public forum and enlisted the help of the owners son was the attention paid to our needs that should have been done on our 1st visit. The fact that a possible solution was easily and rapidly suggested when you asked the question indicates to me that this expertise was available at the time of our 1st visit but was not sought out. I feel it appropriate that a refund or at least an adjustment be made to the 1st bill given these circumstances.10-15-13 PS: My request for an adjustment of 1st bill was also ignored.10-19-13One final thing here. Car wouldn't start till after repeated attempts this AM. I'd give my kingdom for a competent mechanic.Fix Or Repair Daily......12-16-13One (more) final thing here. It turns out we had an intermittently defective transponder key that was causing our car to not start. After spending almost $1000 and 3 months of inconvenience my wife and myself were able to figure this out. A $15 key from Amazon.com and a trip to Home Depot to get the key cut (after ace hardware refused to cut it unless we bought an $80 key from them) and about 2 minutes to program new key in ignition as per owner manual instructions our problem has been resolved.......with absolutely NO help from any of the "experts" we consulted along the way.

We've bought many cars from Ron Hopkins Ford but this trip to the dealer wasn't in our plans. Our 2010 Fusion was involved in an accident that was to bring us back to our Ford dealer (the car was totaled). The employees and sales people there made everything run smoothly from looking for a new vehicle to the paper work and just everyone being so friendly that it was actually a fun process in a way from being so devastating when we originally came in to look! We got a great price on a great vehicle with great service! Thank you Ron Hopkins Ford!!

Walked into dealership half hour before closing and they treated us like they had all the time in the world. Liked the way we were able to look at lot before we were approached from a salesperson. Our salesperson Oli Ponce was very friendly. I ordered the Weathertech liners from Mr, Dill and they fit lovely and I am very satisfied with them.

Called on Saturday morning with a low tire pressure that came on. Asked if they could please check it out. Mike showed me a nail and had it removed. The car was washed and even gave me a report card on the entire car. My favorite salesman Glenn even noticed me waiting and stopped to say hello. In and out in less than an hour. This is my first Ford and have never had such great service, this time and every time at any dealership! I highly recommend them!

Had the pleasure of dealing with Oli at Ron Hopkins. This guy isn't a low pressure salesman, he is a no pressure salesman. Told him we were in the market for a new Fusion but were not buying the day we first went in due to closing on a house within a week. He said no problem, gave us space to look around the lot and came back and let us test drive a handful of different options. Had the house closing on the following Friday and was in there Saturday morning buying a 2013 Fusion. This isn't your normal dealership. They don't bombard you with calls and e-mails between the time you first go in and when you come back to buy, I got 1 phone call from the Sales Manager who I met on that first visit just to make sure our visit was ok, again, no pressure. When it came to financing and doing the deal Oli went out of his way to get us what we wanted for the best possible price, I actually ended up driving his demo car off the lot, hope they don't stick him in a Yaris because I took his car! It was refreshing to meet some of the Hopkins, they are all there and will meet with you. It also sounds like they are going to make some substantial upgrades to the building, that's a good thing, I like supporting local businesses. I am the type that always takes my car to a dealer for any service, no matter how minor, looking forward to coming back here quite a bit! Stop in, find Oli, meet the Hopkins and the other managers that make this one of the best dealerships I have ever had the pleasure working with.

The experience was great ... zero pressure, all positive and professional attitudes throughout! I appreciated the connection with the three employees during the process, they were visibly working together to make experience positive. With a used car purchase you sometimes wonder what is going on "behind the scenes," but seeing each employee through the stages of purchase, hearing them talking to each other, made us feel a part of the deal. The ability to work with what we needed in our trade in was a big help. I would definitely (and plan on it) purchase another truck, or vehicle at Ron Hopkins Ford! Thanks again!

I purchased my mustang five years ago and have had nothing but a very professional and friendly relationship with everyone involved from the purchasing process, to financing, to service over the course of owning this vehicle. I am even more impressed with the overall service department, when compared to other dealerships I have purchased a vehicle from. This service department goes over and above in terms of quality, communication, and friendliness, with no comparison to others. They are always willing to answer questions, regardless of how simple or complex, they call when they say they are going to call, and provide all the information necessary to make a decision, and then service the vehicle within the timeframe they say. They even follow-up to let you know it is done or if they need longer time...the communication with the customer here is the key. Versus other dealerships that do not communicate and you need to keep calling them for information. I always feel welcome and appreciated, not like I am a bother, or nuisance. When they say they treat you like family, Ron Hopkins Ford certainly does, and I will continue to be a customer for a long time.

So we decided to make a visit to Ron Hopkins Ford looked up Jason and he showed us a few cars . Well we fell for a beautiful black fusion sport, we worked out a great deal . Jason and all the people were Friendlyand very helpful. There are many dealers out there but you wont find the customer service you get here.

On October 26th 2012 I went in to buy a new 2012 ford truck Glenn was the sales man that helped me. I had a accident in January 2013 that totaled my truck. Remembering that I had a great experience with Glenn I went back to Ron Hopkins Ford and went right in to see Glenn. Glenn remembered me since it had been a short time since I had bought the first new truck. He worked extra hard to find me the same truck right down to the color! Also found that the second truck had some up grades that the first truck didn't have like the off road package, serius radio and auto start (which I had to pay to be put on the last truck) I was able to save money I thought I would have to spend for an auto-start. Glenn went out of his way to help me and I would recommend him to anyone I am very happy with my second new truck.

Great folks to buy from. Talked to Jeff on the phone before driving out to Elgin. Jeff had the truck ready to look at as promised and exactly as desribed. Handed me over to Juve who was very knowledgeable and took the time to show me all of the features. No pressure and a willingness to get to a price I could afford was a real pleasure. On delivery day paperwork was fast with no hidden costs or pressure to buy extra add-ons. Juve again took the time to go over the truck's features once more to make sure I comfortable with the opperation of the controls.

This latest one took quite awhile to get through as changed jobs and had to wait longer than anticipated to get back to work and get in the market for a replacement car. The price was very good and they provided all documentation on the vehicle. I will come back to Ron Hopkins Ford for service and for my next automobile purchase. Ron Hopkins Ford (Elgin, IL) Service Department More of the same Parts ReplacersOur 2010 Mercury Milan started stalling so I hit the internet to try to find a good Ford dealer for service. Ron Hopkins got pretty good reviews so we took out car to them. They said a faulty purge solenoid was the cause, it was fixed in a day, and I thought I was lucky because the bill was only $265! How wrong I was.Two days later, the same problem occurred but worse. This time I had to have it towed back to the dealer. Naturally, they told me it was an entirely different problem, a bad throttle body this time. Some coincidence, same problem caused by two parts going bad at the same time! This time, the bill was $361, including the tow.My wife did some investigating on line and it appears that Ford has a lot of problems with throttle bodies in their Milans and Fusions. Considering this is a common problem, if the mechanic was any good, the real problem should have been correctly diagnosed the first time and we could have avoided a lot of unnecessary expenses. Instead, we had a parts replacer working on our car, and we had to pay for his mistakes.Anyone know of a good mechanic?

The buying process for a vehicle is usually lengthy and tiresome. Not so here. I was pleasantly surprised with the process of purchasing my new car. Everyone I dealt with where helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I did not fell pressured in any way. I highly recommend Ron Hopkins Ford. I have purchased numerous vehicles and this was by far the best experience I have had.

Although the process is lengthy, ALL the personnel were fun, kind and a joy to have to hang with. This is our 6th vehicle we have purchased using Ron Hopkins Ford. We will be back!

I really brought my old truck in to be serviced. It had too many old age repairs. In a conversation I was told that they had a Ranger on the lot. The price was reduced and fit my budget. They accommodated me and in minutes I was on my way. I felt comfortable dealing so quickly because they had serviced my old truck so well. I can easily recommend them to anyone.

I went to the Ron Hopkins Ford dealer to test-drive a Ford Explorer. I was greeted very nicely by Mr. Oli Ponce. He asked me what I was looking for and showed me to the Explorer's that were available. He asked me what features I wanted and anything and everything that I was looking for in this vehicle. He was very knowledgeable and he went above and beyond to show me all of the vehicles features. He also informed me about all of it's safety features, which I was not aware of. He took me out for the test-drive and was great. He made sure to ask me what I thought and how the vehicle drove? I have had many experiences with dealer salesmen and I was skeptical to inform Mr. Oli that I would not be purchasing a vehicle, since usually when you let a salesman know such information they lose interest and motivation to answer all your questions or to even continue with their "great" customer service. I was actually not from town, I was just visiting family and all I wanted was to test-drive the vehicle I was thinking of purchasing in a different state, and I let Mr. Oli know that. But unlike I thought, he continued his EXCELLENT service. He went above and beyond to make us feel important and that our visit was worth it, even if we weren't purchasing. He went above and beyond to answer my questions, and options I would have to purchase this vehicle in my state of residence. I also informed him I had a trade-in and he helped me by searching for my vehicle's trade-in value, so I would have an idea when it was time to make my purchase. He was friendly, nice, and funny. I think that all salesman should be like him. He knew what he was doing and he seemed to enjoy his job. The only thing that held me back from making a purchase with Mr. Oli was that I did not have my trade-in vehicle in this state. Otherwise I would have enjoyed purchasing my vehicle from this dealer and with the help of Mr. Oli Ponce.

Experience was overall very good. We were not even expecting to purchase a vehicle that day (however have bought 2 vehicles prior to this purchase) and were just beginnig the "search" process. Everyone we dealt with was very knowledgeable, respectful, friendly and most importantly not pushy. We were made an fair offer on our trade and the process went pretty smoothly all in all. We love our new Ford Focus and as far as we are concerned, will be a life long customer as long as the service remains at the level it has been these past 9+ years we've been doing business with Ron Hopkins.

George was a great salesman! He was very personable and professional and he is the reason we chose to buy a Ford Edge from this dealership. He went out of his way by coming in on his day off to obtain our vehicle and prepare it for delivery to us. He was very patient when teaching us how to use the car's features. He made sure the car was in perfect condition before we drove it off the lot. He thanked us many times for our business and we feel confident we will continue to get outstanding service from him and the dealership in the years to come.

My family has been going here since I could remember and have always been satisfied with the customer service, kindness, cleanliness, professionalism, and the pride everyone has with working there. I would have to say that George Nano, by far, has been my favorite salesman we have worked with. I felt genuine kindness and felt that he truly cared about my family and I. It was I that got the most recent car and was very satisfied that George called me the next business day to see how I was doing, how the car was running, for any questions I had, and checking to see how I was liking the Taurus. That meant a lot! I'm definitely going back here when a new car is needed and will recommend Ron Hopkins to anyone looking for a car and wants to have a good experience with it. Thank you, guys.

I came to Ron Hopkins looking at Escapes. Jason met me when I finished my test drive of the demo model they had on the lot. Jason was a lot of fun to deal with, and made the transaction as painless as possible. When I took the car, there were some issues to be resolved at a later date (detailing and paint work) and he has been very proactive in handling this as well.

We came in because our nephews have bought cars there and recommended them to us. After we bought the car come to find out that they all had been offered free oil changes for a year, and we did not receive that offer. I was disappointed to find this out. We did puchase a new car, they received free oil changes even with a used car. Not sure why this is??!!

Went to Ron Hopkins to look for a new vehicle. Jason was very friendly and let me drive vehicles with different options to help my decision. He worked up a price and told me it was $500 over invoice. I've heard this line before at other dealers when searching for vehicles. When I went to a few other dealers I was able to get an additional $1000 off the price he gave me. This made it an easy decision on who to go with. I would definetly shop around if you are looking for a good price.

Everyone at Ron Hopkins was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Dennis Sluski and Joe Dill. My mom and I came in to Ron Hopkins looking for a reasonably priced car and Dennis was able to get us a great deal on a Ford Focus. Joe also helped by getting us a great deal on a service package. Overall, it was a great experience.

My visit to Ron Hopkins Ford was the best experience ever. I previously have dealt with other dealerships and felt that all they were concerned with was the sale, regardless of what my wants were. Other dealerships attempted to get me to purchase a vehicle that I did not want at a price I did not want to pay. I had been corresponding with Jason Milburn via email for a few months and he never pressured me to "hurry and get into the dealership before its too late". He kept me informed with the current Ford incentives along with the current promotions of the dealership. On the day I decided to go in, just a whim, I was greeter very friendly and professionally by Dennis Sulky who let me know that he would also be able to assist me since Jason was unavailable. After checking a few cars with Dennis, I decided I needed more time. Dennis did not pressure me to stay and think about it, he said no problem come back when you are ready. Before I left Jason became available and made sure we spoke as well. Again extremely friendly and great guys all around. I came back on the following Saturday and Dennis had a car all picked out for me to test drive. He paid attention to every detail that I wanted in the vehicle down to the interior colors without compromise. Both Dennis and Jason knew I worked nights and had just worked the night before so they made sure I did not spend my entire Saturday in the dealership. Before I left Jason gave me a quick tutorial on how to use the Sync system and he synced my phone for me. I was ready to go!!!. Both my brother and mother will be looking for a new car before years end and I will be taking them back to the Ron Hopkins Family. Great atmosphere!

The number one thing I liked about Ron Hopkins was the friendliness of everybody and the ability to help and work with me and my situation. I went in there expecting the "salesman" kind of attitude but Jason was amazing at helping me and and getting me into the right car. He and everyone else there I met were great and keeping you comfortable and guiding you towards the rational decisions rather than constantly throwing you numbers and pushing for signatures. I definitley plan to get more Fords in my lifetime and most definitley will be coming back to Hopkins, and hoping Jason will still be working there, great guy.

This is the 5th car I have purchased at this dealership. I have always found them to be friendly, courteous, and geniunely interested in assisting with a car purchase. They work diligentely to assis you in selecting a vehicle within your price parameters and getting the bedt finance rate they can. I highly recommedn them. I feel they are honsest and really want you to be completely satisfied.

I have been dealing with dealerships since I was 18 years old, and have honestly found the dealership that I will do business from now on. I was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff at Ron Hopkins. I arrived there on Friday evening 20 minutes before closing wanting to talk to a sales person to go over my options in trading my car to upgrade to a larger vehicle because of our new addition to our family. I spoke with Dennis Sluski he took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel at ease regarding the process. I came back on Saturday afternoon, and I tell you that my experience was exactly what Dennis had told me. I have never experienced the ease of completing the transaction in 21 years of buying new and used cars. I didn't spend all Saturday afternoon at the dealership either, I was there a couple of hours, and I was completely done. I give great praise to the professionalism that Dennis Sluski showed me during the entire process. God willing when I'm ready to get the "Got To Have It Green" Mustang Gt I will be back to see Dennis again. Thank you !

Upon entering the dealership, George warmly greeted us and promptly showed us the features of the Escape, Edge, and Explorer. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. When we returned a few days later to buy, he was very attentive and helpful. He patiently took us through all of the high-tech features explaining them in detail and reviewing those about which we were uncertain. Jeff Hopkins saw to it that some minor scratches were touched up and floor mats were included. We had a very positive experience and would recommend the dealership to others.

Called a few weeks ago to ask about a new vehicle, and spoke to the owner. Now, at the end of May, called again to inquire about the same vehicle, and was told that I had apparently "promised" the owner to show up at the beginning of June and that I had "stood him up".Angelo didn't even give me a chance to quite understand the concept of "standing up" someone at a date that's yet to come, and continued to press me with literally questions like, "how could you do something like that?"I'll be honest and say that I'm not blessed with an elephant memory like some folks, so maybe I said something a few weeks ago that I don't quite remember, but I haven't even committed the crime yet and wasn't even given the chance to explain / apologize and was flatly told to go somewhere else.If this is the kind of arrogance with which they treat their customers at the initial quote then god help you if you ever do business with them and have a disagreement. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Well done Ron Hopkins!; What a friendly and professional dealership!Brought a Ford Focus 2007 registered in Canada, with a recurring transmission fault. The staff had no problem researching the warranty records of the cars last repair carried out in Canada. I was given a quote of 250.00 as the worst case. In the end all work was done under service warranty, and the car works perfect. It was well worth driving the extra miles to get there. Other Ford dealerships I had visited previous to Ron Hopkins saw a problem in resolving the service warranty on a Ford vehicle repaired abroad and quoted me a flat fee of 600,00 just for "examining the engine"!.

We purchased three new 2002 Ford Focuses (SE, ZX5 and ZTW), from Ron Hopkins Ford, within a few months, which were our first new cars in 32 years. We have relied solely on the folks at Ron Hopkins for service since purchase, because of the reasons itemized in the ratings. I trust what they tell me, such that I had my car towed back 30 miles thru Chicago to them, when it stalled, knowing the tow bill would be high, but knowing I could feel comfortable about their diagnosis and repair. They diagnosed a blown fuel pump fuse, and only charged me for the diagnosis and fuse. The bill could have been much higher at a less reputable service center. Bob Gillman helped me try some easy fixes via cell phone, and helped me find a tow company. As stated in the ratings, I have recommended Ron Hopkins to others and will continue to do so in the future.

I verified pricing and rebates to 4 other Ford dealers throughout Chicago and he matched or beat the others without a lot of haggling. From the beginning, Glenn was friendly and fun to talk to. He went over the features of the vehicle twice with me. During the test drive and after I purchased the Ford Escape. As expected, I was pressured to put some money down on a vehicle when I came in for the test drive to secure the sale but Glenn and Jeff Hopkins were very patient and kind during that process and answered all of my questions all the way through the process of purchasing my first car.

Scott provided great service. When we came in looking for a new truck, he provided exactly what we asked for in our price range. He gave us a print out showing exactly what the costs would be and what the various incentives were. So when we went home to discuss, we knew what our options were. Another dealership only gave me the price with the highest incentive $'s, which when I didn't finance thru Ford I didn't qualify for. But they never mentioned it. There was no high pressure to buy and I didn't feel like Scott was trying to push us into a vehicle we couldn't afford.

Buying a car is something that I quite frankly dread. We went to Ron Hopkins with the intent of buying a used truck and after working with Juvenal Soriano, our salesman we ended up with a brand new 2012 Ford F-150 at a great price. There was no pressure at any point in the transaction. Everyone was curteous and they listened to our wants and needs and worked with us to give us the best deal possible. It ended up being a great experience.

i worked with joe the used car manager then with ron mckinley on the purchase of a new truck this dealer is great to work with they are pleasent, friendly and very understanding to all the questions i had. They even washed my car that i drove there to look for a truck and i wasnt even trading my car in!. I would reccomend this dealer to anyone buy a new or used car.

This is our 3rd purchase from Ron Hopkons Ford. We have always just gone in to look and they have dealt so well with us that we couldn't resist buying. The last purchase, a ford truck, was a fluke as we took our focus for service and the truck was out front and we didn't think we had achance at it. We have been thinking of looking in a yr or so for something to pull our travel trailer. They made it possible and being a used truck, it has way more on it than we could have ordered it out new. We are very happy with our purchase and will be keeping this truck for a long time. We are very happy with all the sales people and will always see them in years to come.

Pat answered all our questions without presuring us to buy, he didn't hound us just gave us the facts and let us decide. He knew the price and was willing to counter for us to see if we could get a better price for us. The staff was extremely helpful and they made us feel very comfortable. We were in/out with financing as promised in about 20 minutes. I couldn't be happier with our purchase along with the patience and repect I was given by this dealership. Josh had done an excellent job finding the right car for us. He new where we were on our budget and what we were looking for in a car. The staff was extremely helpful and they made us feel very comfortable. This is the 2nd car I've bought from Pat. This one a used Honda & the last a new 2001 Escape. Even though it had been 11 years since I bought my last vehicle from Pat he remembered me. He is a pleasure to work with & makes the process as simple as possible. Buying a car is is stressful, but Pat doesn't pressure you at all. I was very pleased with Josh and the folks at Ron Hopkins Ford being willing to order the car I was wanting. I'm a manual transmission gal and their can-do attitude made it worth the wait. I did have to order the vehicle, which took about 2 months to arrive. But considering that I was told 3 to 12 weeks, its arrival was within the quoted time period. The entire sales team was there in the end and did a marvelous job finalizing the process. I will recommend this dealership.

From the very first time I contacted salesman Jason Milburn through the internet he was very helpful in finding exactly the car I was looking for, I never felt he was pressuring me and he took his time listenning to my needs, once I had settled on my purchase he was thorough in searching for all incentives I could apply and worked me with on a final cost. He also took a great deal of his time to show me how to use all the features the car had. Dealing with finance mgr. and prep delivery magr were also very positive expierences, this was my first time ever purchasing a vehicle at Ron Hopkins but certainly won't be the last. I just bought my 6th new Ford from this dealership. This is my 30th car so I have been to many dealers before - these guys are the best. Every time I go in for anything, even an oil change, they recognize me and greet me as a friend. There is no pressure to buy, just a great experience in a casual atmosphere. And, my Fords have been the most reliable cars I have owned.

I havent been car shopping for many years since I have had a company vehicle. Recently retired I had to purchase a vehicle. I cant tell you enough on how Ron Hopkins Ford had treated me in in a very friendly, kind and professional manner. Glenn Hardek responded back to an email when I inquired about a vehicle in their online inventory. The email was prompt and answered my questions but with no presure. I went in to see Glenn and test drove the vehicle. The vehicle was exactly what I was looking for. The best part of the whole trip to the dealership was, I was treated fairly but most importantly I made several new friends. The entire staff, Glenn Hardek, Joe Isacio, Joe Dill, and Cliff are the reasons I will be a customer for life. Great Job! Great Dealership!

We were pleased with everyone we dealt with. The only complaint that my husband had is that the marks on the rear bumper were not fixed. That is the reason for good on quality of work.

When I went to the dealership to views inventory that was in my price range, Scott was very helpful in showing me what was available and what could be ordered. Previously that day another dealership in the area tried to sell me cars that were not in my price range. They also instructed me that they could not get any inventory in until 2012 that would meet my needs.We are very happy with the car and the service at Hopkins. My daughter is now thinking about purchasing from them. My husband and I will be needing another car soon as well. For the past 15 years we have gone with another brand of car. For the value, we will be now be sticking with Ford.

Scot is always very prompt in finding the type of vehicle I am requesting. He calls back same day, is flexible with setting up delivery dates and times and is fair with pricing. He is always willing to look and accept my trades. We are a fleet purchaser and have purchased our cars and trucks from Scot, exclusively for 3 years.

There is no better Ford dealership in the area in my opinion. I have been doing business with Joe and Jeff Hopkins for years and have always been treated with respect. Jeff and Joe goes out of their way to answer all questions and my calls are always returned quickly. As for service, The techs here are top notch. I am a police officer in charge of the vehicle maintenance on all our squads. This is the ONLY place where I will bring our squads. Never an issue with having to come back for a repair that was not completed successfully. I also own a ford vehicle and have never had an issue with any service or questions. Everyone one I dealt with was very knowledgeable,helpful and friendly. My overall experience was good. I would recommend that a salesman address a couple equaly, not just to the male. They should never assume it is the man purchasing a vehicle. Leading up til now, all communications have bee directed toward my husband, even though my name is on everything. I understand my salesmen was new, but first impression are eveything.

Jason Milburn was grate to work with, very knowledgeable about his cars, He took care of all question and problems we had. He worked with the manager to get us the best deal. The service pepole took care of any problems we had.All and all it was a good experience.

Couldn't say enough good things about how we were treated. Great place to buy a car. Our used car was in perfect shape and we were not pushed to buy. No pressure but great service. Car was delivered with a full tank of gas and clean as a whistle. Thank you!

Glenn did a great job of keeping me updated via email & phone on his search for my vehicle wish list. Glenn helped me find the car I wanted and worked with me to get it to within a price point that worked for my budget. I purchased a used F-250 from this dealership. I originally found the vehicle online and contacted Jason. Jason had the truck inside the shop for me so I could look at it. We took if for a ride and then they took my trade in for a ride. They gave me a fair ammount for my trade and a great price on the truck. They were willing to work with me and they took the time to explain the features of the truck and answer my questions. They were very friendly and easy to work with.Jim

This is the second car I've gotten from this dealership. I am a repeat customer due to the great service I received first time around, and this time I had the same experience. I find everyone in the dealership to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I'm very pleased with what I paid for my car as well. My new purchase has the Sync system and they took a lot of time to explain the system to me, set up my on line account and have been very willing to help me with any questions I have about the technology. It should also be noted that this dealership is 40 miles from my home, so I absolutely have a choice for my Ford shopping. But I see no reason to go anywhere else when the service here is so fabulous!

Jason has always dealt with me fairly in an open and honest manner. I used to dread the whole car shopping ordeal, but working with Jason has made it a enjoyable experience. He did not push me he took his time to let me make decisions I felt comfortable with. I have no hesitation in recommending Jason to family and friends.

2 years ago, I stopped to test drive a vehicle. I was clear with the sales person that I was buying the vehicle in MN but he took me out anyway. He was so friendly that when I decided last weekend to buy a new car I returned to this showroom. THANKS!

From the initial internet contact, Jason was friendly and helpful. I popped in on him without a scheduled time expecting to only look at the Ford Taurus Limited but wound up driving one home. My car is keyless and when I got home, I locked everything in the running car without knowing the pass key code yet. I called Jason (who should have been on his way home to his family) who took the time to come to my home and get me into the running vehicle. He already sold me the car and could have ignored my plea for his help but he didn't which is what customer service should be about. Thanks again Jason~

Recently I was having trouble with my 2006 Ford Fusion starting. This problem occured very randomly, so I looked into getting a new battery. After 2 visits to Pep Boys I was told my battery past both tests on their machines and I had no reason to get a new battery and also, that they had no idea what was wrong with my car. I decided to give Ron Hopkins Ford a call and to my surprise I actually spoke with a "Hopkins" and he personally took time to make sure my needs were not only serviced but met. I was informed that my battery did passed their test as well, but the mechanic said there was one more test to try if I had the time. Well after testing my battery again the mechanic noticed that it "failed" immediatley. I was very happy that the problem was diagnosed but scared that because it was a "Dealer" that the price would be high. Again to my surprise, I discoverd that Ron Hopkins Ford was lower in price then Pep Boys and that I was even getting a better battery than the one Pep Boys had to offer. I couldnt be happier with my experience at Ron Hopkins and will definely reccomend them to others and most likely purchase a new car for my wife there.

I am very happy with my new Ford Fusion, and I was very happy with the personnel at Ron Hopkins Ford, Elgin, IL. This is my first experience at purchasing a car on my own. It was easier and more pleasant than I thought it might be. Previously I just told my husband what I did (and didn't) want and he went out to do the looking and dealing.

Sooooo, after buying a 2011 Edge with the MyFord Touch and Sync feature, which Eddie Cuevas explained thouroughly, I still needed help resetting my phone. I visited Ron Hopkins Ford for assistance to find that Eddie was off that day. I then took it in to the service dept where I was promptly greeted by all three of the service advisors. Chuck, Bob and Mike quickly offered to assist me with the "pairing" of my new phone and walk me through the "syncing" process. I later found out that Chuck was the manager, and it was clear to me that his first priority was to ensure my understanding of the SYNC system. The service department at Ron Hopkins Ford went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I understood the SYNC system, and to answer all of the dumb questions I had. I purchased my 2007 Ford Escape from Ron Hopkins in May of 2007. Since then I've taken both of my vehicles (other is 1997 Ford Taurus) to them for service. When I was dealing with Edward Garcia I never had a problem, he was always professional and timely.This time I had the misfortune of dealing with Charles (whom Jay said is the Service Manager).I brought the 2007 Escape in for its 35,000 mile service and to have the passenger side view mirror checked as it was loose.When they pulled my vehicle out of their shop I noticed that the side mirror was now hanging by the wires (completely broken out of the housing).Charles approached me, handed me the paperwork and said "Your car's ready, thank you have a nice day". He never mentioned anything about the side mirror!I asked him why my mirror is hanging by the wire and he replied, "It's broken"!We walked out to the vehicle together as I explained it wasn't THAT BROKEN when I arrived at the dealership. Then he said it fell out when the technician touched it. WHAT? It survived a 2hr drive each way just a couple of days prior at highway speeds but his technician gently touches is and it leaps out at him?I say I can't drive it like that, it would scratch up my paint and swing around. So he calls the technician to put it back in so I can drive the vehicle. The "highly skilled technician" lifts it up and gently sits in in the housing (with nothing attaching it) then walks away!I'm the one who disconnected the mirror and then left it with the cashier as I stormed out of there.Spoke with Jay Hopkins later and he basically said I'm a lair and his clown of a servie manager mentioned the cost to repair (replace) the mirror immediately.I will never go to Ron Hopkins Ford again.

My name is steve and my company purchased a 02 F250 P/U crew cab and a 04 same truck from ron hopkins, the sales experience was good and the service was good up until they quoted me $8294.00 to fix the head gasket, turbo and 4 fuel injectors on a diesel truck then they reduced the the price to $5918.00. I took the truck to a different diesel mechanic and told him everything what they told me was wrong. I was surprised to find out that the mechanic at ron hopkins over filled the antifreeze and it leeked on the head gasket, he performed a preasure test checked the turbo and the injectors and found one injector was marginal. The hole fix cost $580.00 a hole lot cheaper than 5.9K steve Highlake const corp

With the gass prices we where looking for a Ford Expedtion. I statrted looking at 2006 but Tony told us that he could get us into a 2007 at the same price or lower. We told him what we where looking for color, options, etc. between him and the used vehicle manager that got the one we wanted 2 weeks later. 2007, black, 9000 miles and a full warranty. Tony was even able to keep it on the back lot for 2 weeks until we got the financing worked out. I will go back to Tony for every vehicle we buy. We moved 45 mins. away from the dealership and I still go back for routine maintenance and oil changes.
