We were greeted at the door by Steve Ortiz who was very friendly and easy to talk to. He showed us the vehicle we were interested in buying. He negotiated the price we were asking for with his finance mgr and we came to a mutual understanding. The sale and trade-in of our vehicle was seamless. We completed the financial transaction the following day with John Lank & Steve assisted us on his day off to demonstrate all the bells & whistles that came with the new Acadia we were purchasing. Would not recommend this dealership. I bought a brand new Chevy Equinox and had it detailed 1 month later only to find out the car had body work done on it. The dealership will not return phone calls or respond to any questions. I hired a lawyer to see what I can do. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!!

I'm now on my sixth vehicle from Hurd and whether it's been the purchasing or service they have always been courteous and fair. As Jason states, you have the ability to roam the lot to view the inventory they have without sales personnel following you. I've also taken test rides without sales personnel. A terrific bonus in my view. Between the Chevrolets, Buicks, GMCs, as well as an extensive choice of used cars, there is something here that will fit your taste and budget.

If I could rate this dealership with 10 stars I would. My wife and I have been car shopping for two days. We visited 6 GMC dealerships looking for a good used GMC Acadia for her and a 2016 Sierra for me. I was planning on buying a truck at the dealership where my wife found her car. After the fifth dealership and countless test drives later we starting thinking there wouldnt be an Acadia she would like. We decided to give Hurd Auto Mall a chance and were glad we did. When we arrived, I told myself, Great here we go again. As soon as we get out of the car someone will be there waiting to greet us. Granted there is nothing wrong with this, as the employees are doing their job. But after the same thing over and over again it becomes repetitive. To our pleasant surprise no one was there. We were able to walk the car lot without someone following up 20 ft. away. It was reassuring because we already knew which car we wanted to look. Talk about no sales pressure. It was great. When we made our way to the Office we were greeted by Jennifer. I joking told her weve been through these 5 times already. She looked puzzled and I explained our situation and exactly what we wanted and which Acadia my wife wanted to test drive. Jennifer didnt try to up-sell us a new 2017 or even a more expensive certified Acadia. One of the BEST parts about test driving the Acadia at Hurd was Jennifer didnt come with us (not that I wouldnt have minded). This was good because we didnt have a sales person trying to pitch us on how this is the best car and how they are the best dealership around etc This was a breath of fresh air. We could talk in peace. And during our test drive Jenn was having our two trade-ins appraised which saved us time.After we get back my wife decided this car was it. Now it came my turn to look at some GMC Sierra. I was easy because all the trucks drive the same and I didnt need all the bells and whistles. Jennifer showed me three trucks and I finally chose which one. After Jenn got the paperwork and met with her manager Dave he came over to introduce himself. Dave came over and introduced himself and sat down. One thing Dave did right was he didnt go straight into business mode. He wanted to talk and actually get to know us. He asked where were from, how many kids, and so forth. He was being personable. This is a good business practice that more dealerships should adopt. Now comes the fun part; the negotiations. Dave went over the value of our trades and they were very reasonable on both the car and truck. When I explained how the other dealerships were offering us a little more on the trades he didnt think twice about meeting their offers (it was only a few more hundred). Also, when I explained the situation and showed him what the other dealerships were selling the similar vehicles for he matched their prices too. My wife and I ended up buying the two vehicles. Dave was upfront from the beginning. He told us the dealership is barely making any money from this deal, but what he was trying to accomplish and did was getting repeat buyers. And referrals from us. Out of all the years buying cars, whether new or used; weve never had this great experience before. I highly recommend Hurd Auto Mall if youre in the market for a new vehicle. Definitely seek out Jennifer and you will meet Dave as well and you will not be disappointed.

Everyone was super friendly, not pushy, accommodating, and made the process of evaluating several options quick and easy. I didn't feel awkward asking for several quotes on several cars so I could better understand my options. This is my 2nd leased vehicle from Hurd and, while my first experience was excellent, this one was even better. Very satisfied customer!

Bob Hein and Dave Richards were awesome! More dealerships should have people that treat customers the way these two guys do. Got into a great truck, treated my wife with respect, worked the deal, and really felt like we finally found a family dealership. I wish I could remember the names of all the people we dealt with for this transaction .. but will say, across the board everyone was on point without making you feel like you were the next sucker that just walked onto the lot like you get as so many other dealerships. Trust me on this one .. if you are looking for honesty and want make a friend in car business, try HURD GMC.

Incredible! That is the word that I use when I describe my recent trip to Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston. My initial call was directed to Alfred who answered my questions and guided me to the GMC dealership. When I arrived at the showroom, Dave Richards (sales manager) was expecting me. I had the pleasure of also working with sales consultant Jennifer Lohman. Dave and Jennifer worked as a team to give me the best deal possible. I was speechless with the deal that they presented to me. It was absolutely amazing how Dave worked the numbers to my advantage on a brand new 2016 Terrain SLT. I would have never imagined that I would be able to get that vehicle for the price they presented me. Since the Terrain is for my wife, Dave gave me the keys and suggested that I take it home for my wife to drive. Of course, she loved it. I then met with Eric (in finance) which was another excellent and easy part of the process. When we picked up the vehicle, Dave asked if we were completely satisfied, and Jennifer explained all of the options within our new Terrain. I will definitely, without hesitation, recommend Hurd Auto Mall to my friends and relatives.

After hearing from the service dept my car was not eligible for dealer prep service; I called Bob Hein Buick Sales Rep extraordinaire. Bob although he wasn't my salesman represented me to the powers to be that my car was indeed eligible for this service. Bob called me back and told me that all would be taken care of. I told him that he is the man! I want to thank him and Wendy Bowen for helping to get this done. They helped to give me relief to what was starting to become a frustrating day. Not only does Hurd Auto Mall sell the best trucks on the Planet, they also have the best sales staff as well,. It was a very positive experience ending in me driving away in a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. Due to recent set backs my credit wasn't what I wanted it to be, but I walked away with a lease tailor made for my needs, taking everything into account and coming up with a very affordable payment. I started with Salesman Jason Mitchell, then Sales Manager Dave Richards who assisted Eric Fiske the Finance manager in making this come true. Recently I went to Hurd wanting to lease another car from them. Back in 2013, I leased a car, which at the time I noticed before signing my papers that the city I lived in was wrong. At the time I lived in North Providence, Providence shared the same zip code. Before signing the paperwork I noticed that the city was listed as Providence, the person made some corrections, and told me not to worry about this. A year later I received my bill with my taxes on them and noticed it said Providence. Providence taxes are higher than North Providence. Right away I phone called my leasing company and was told that it was the dealer that registered my car and I would have to resolve this with them. I called Hurd and was told they would look into this and contact me. Yes they re-registered my car in the right city but never reimbursed the difference on the taxes. I called them a number of times speaking to the manager and the person that I finalized my paperwork with and did not get any response. Being very disappointed in the way Hurd took care of this, I landed up having to pay the additional taxes. Recently my lease was over and decided to go back to Hurd, thinking that I should give them another chance with leasing and figured they would give me a good deal. When I spoke to the salesman and explained on what happened with the taxes he told me that Hurd was not responsible. At the same time the salesman was telling me false information on a new car I was looking into. Maybe the salesman was thinking because I was a woman and by myself at the time, I was not educated on cars. I left that day still unable to decide if I wanted to lease. All week long I received phone calls and emails that they wanted to speak with me. I did return their call and made an appointment to go back in to talk. When I returned the day of the appointment, the salesman was with another customer, my husband and I was basically given keys to cars to test drive while waiting for this salesman. Finally my husband and I spoke with the salesman and manager and you could tell the manager was getting short tempered with me. I left there not leasing a car. For the next couple of days I received a number of phone calls saying my car was ready. Which I never gave the OK to. On one of those days, I received 4 phone calls, text messages and emails stating they wanted me to come back in, all while I was at work. I felt this was very excessive and very disappointed in their customer service. Needless to say I decided to lease a car from another dealership due to these issues. I was able to lease a car that had more in the car and gave me a better deal.

We visited Hurd Chevrolet on an ad from the newspaper about a Chevy Cruze. At the time we were unsure about brands, leasing, buying new or used. Mike Hennessey helped us quickly look at the Cruze with little trouble. Mike was very patient in talking with us about leasing or buying either a new or used car without once trying to push us or close the deal until we had found a solution we were comfortable with and were willing to go forward on. We selected a 1 yr old Cruze with very low miles that us additional options that would be on the slightly higher priced new car. Thanks Mike!!! Next we spoke with the finance person, Wayne King, who prepared a few different options for us to consider. After seeing Mike, we took a quick dinner break at a local eatery and Wayne had all his work done when we returned. We were happy to see that Wayne also was patient , thoughtful and skilled in helping to find a loan term and options that worked for us. We opted an ala carte loan with gap coverage. Thanks Wayne !!! Overall, the car buying was enjoyable, without pressure and went very smoothly. My wife and I spoke about it and decided it was the best car buying experience we had had since buying our first new car in '81. Good Job !! By the way, my wife LOVES her car.

Shopped around for a truck and after visiting 6 dealerships, I must say the customer service at hurd gmc was the best. Worked with two gentleman over there (nick l, and dave r). They were definitely the most up front honest guys I dealt with during my shop for a truck. The worst part is I needed a miracle on a truck that I wasn't even able to give them my business. If I wasn't so upside down on my car as a trade I would of never left there. Those guys were patient and willing to work as much as they could it's not in the cards right now. When it is time I will definitely be going back there!!!

If you are in the market for a new Buick, do yourself a favor visit Hurd Auto Mall. I was comparative shopping but looked no further. Dave Richards provided me with an excellent trade in, explained every detail the Regal had to offer, and didn't pressure me . He simply stated the facts and let me decide for myself. I brought my car in for service after having a issue with my 2005 corvette,..I spoke to Chris Hurd personally and he assured me my car would be taken care of perfectly. The service manager there David was absolutely outstanding and took care of me better then any dealership ever has and my service advisor Rob was second to none and kept me informed the entire process of my car being worked on. I got the car back quicker then expected and it was flawless. I couldn't stop smiling. Mr. Hurd is a great individual and personally called me to make sure I was taken care of. I just leased a brand new 2016 Silverado and worked with Mike Hennessey. My experience from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. A coworker and good friend of mine recommended me to Hurd, as well as others, and now I can see why!I've spent the past 3 months searching for a new vehicle, a truck specifically, and was almost dead set on a Nissan Frontier. I've owned quite a few Nissan's so a Frontier seemed like the next logical step. But in my particular case, I found it very hard to look past the great leasing deals that Chevrolet has been offering. And comparing the Silverado and the Frontier, why not have a full-sized truck with better fuel economy, and in a 5.3L V8?! Now keep in mind... I've never owned an "American Made" vehicle, so "CHEVY" was never even a thought in my mind.Let alone did I know anything about the Chevy brand really, or their vehicles. And being a car guy I had PLENTY of general and technical questions as I started to consider the Silverado. And I'm glad I made the choice I did, this truck is amazing!When I walked into the dealership I was prepared to meet the typical car salesmen standing around. I imagined that they'd be standing around waiting for the next unsuspecting buyer to come along, and would flip a coin to determine who'd get to run up to me. After all, this was pretty much my experience at the other dealerships I visited in the area (I had been to 5 before Hurd). But that wasn't the case here. When I walked in I saw that Mike Hennessey was available and approached him. He took a few minutes to find out what I was looking for, finance or lease: the usual necessary information. We then walked out to the lot and Mike directed me to a grouping of Silverados that had leasing specials. That's when my questions started to flow. "What's the difference between the black and the red one? What engine sizes are offered for this trim? Why is... what is... can you explain..." were just some of the things I hit Mike with. And for each question he had the exact answer. There was no "uh, let me check the paper inside and see" or any of that. By getting direct answers from Mike I was able to determine without a doubt, which exact vehicle I wanted.We went for a test drive, went over the sticker price, etc., all standard stuff I'd say. And with the sticker price, I think it's common knowledge that some of the rebates listed might not apply to you. I don't like how some dealers include the military discount or student discount in their advertised pricing, which doesn't apply to everyone. But I noticed that Hurd didn't do that. Granted, they had the "Conquest" discount (if you have another vehicle) thrown in there, but that's something that a potential buyer most likely qualifies for. The military and student discounts were actually additional discounts that were not included on their price, so it was more of a "real world" pricing breakdown and I appreciated that. I'm not a pushover when it comes to negotiations, and I have an approach of "I'm buying a vehicle, what can you do for me" type of mentality. Hurd was able to work with me to find the perfect balance of money down vs. monthly payment, as long as I was truly serious about purchasing a vehicle from them, which I was. Mike even ran my employer through the system just to see if there were any additional discounts that I qualified for, and sure enough there was. At the end of the day I walked away with a brand new vehicle, with all the options that I wanted, for the price that I wanted, and had a great time along the way. To add to that, I noticed an imperfection on the vehicle and was concerned that because it was a lease I'd be held accountable. The imperfection was there prior to the purchase, but could foresee the possibility of having to jump through hoops to get it replaced. Nope! I sent a quick email over to the dealer, stopped in after work the very same day, and within the time it took me to check a few emails in the service area I was good to go. The imperfection is going to be handled free of charge, I just simply had to schedule a time that worked best for me to have the part replaced once it arrived. In conclusion, if this is any indication of how the rest of my experience with Hurd will be, I can EASILY see myself continuing to do business with them and will absolutely recommend them to my friends and family.

Amazing experience. I came in knowing the car I was looking for but my salesman made it an incredibly seamless experience. After talking to the sales man and the manager, I realized that I did not need to buy. The leases right now were the same payment as 3 year old trucks. I just want to stress what an INCREDIBLE sales associate Charlie is. After I had a terrible experience with another dealership, I came to Hurd. Charlie worked with me literally all day to make sure I got in the right car for me. In my personal opinion he should get a raise. Our vehicle was parked in the driveway and I noticed what looked like oil had been dripping from a car. (Thinking to myself I just had it changed, it can't be..) So the next day I noticed it looks wet and it's under my wife's SUV. I craw under to find it's all wet with oil. I immediately called Hurd Chevrolet. Next thing I know Wendy the General Manager is calling me to ask what is going on, and wanting me to bring the truck in ASAP. Well I went right in with it and I'm greeted by Chris Hurd and Wendy. They assured me that they will get to the bottom of the problem, and they did within a few minutes. There was apparently a defective oil filter installed that they had no way of knowing. It was changed, the undercarriage washed down and I was sent on my way. I also want to say the whole time I was there Wendy was in constant contact with me. Making me feel welcome and assuring me everything was being taken care of, and apologizing for any inconvenience this may have caused... Then when it was finished the (I believe, Foreman of the garage) Steve Hatcher, came out to explain exactly what was done. Also apologizing for any inconvenience.... I was very impressed with my first trip to Hurd's service center! Needless to say I will not hesitate to return.... Thank You Again

My overall experience with Hurd GMC was very pleasant. First off, upon going to check out a brand new 2016 GMC Canyon I was able to walk around the lot without sales representatives rushing up to me. Secondly upon consulting with Dave Richard Jr. the sales representative I was able to go over pricing, trade in value, and the additional items I wanted for the truck in a friendly, pressure free environment. Next I would like to remark that although there was not much budge in the price of the truck (which was already priced about $2000 below competitive dealerships), they made up for it in my trade in value to get the numbers where they needed to be for my monthly payments. I would like to thank Dave Richards Jr. and the rest of the Hurd GMC team for making this auto buying experience a good one, and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for a new GMC or Buick.

I went into hurd with my guard up. I stopped in early in the morning and wanted to look around. I had a certain price point i needed to be at and was unsure of what i would find. I couldnt test drive that day but Charlie was more than happy to take the time with me. I set up an appointment for the next day. I arrived early and found charlie was with another customer. Josh was standing outside and was more than happy to give me a plate and let me road test the vehicle un accompanied. When i arrived back the dealership i offered a fair price........the agreed....really that easy?! Yes it was. After the paperwork was signed Chrlie even gave me a tour of the dealership and I could tell he had a sense of pride. They gained a customer for sure.

14 weeks later, I am still without a truck. I ordered the truck on May 30th, Hurd said it would take 2 months for the truck to be built. At the end of July, I get one phone call from Hurd and they said the truck isn't ready yet and it would take another month. August went and gone, I am still without a truck. No call from Hurd to update me on anything. In 14 weeks, I get one stinking called, this isn't a customer care. On Aug. 31th, my family and I went in to sign the loan papers and I paid another $150.00 for the registration. 8 days passed, still no one from Hurd call me to update. I emailed Wendy Bowen, the General Manager, haven't heard from her at all. I am tempting to contact Mr. Hurd himself. To Mr. Hurd, if you happen to see my review please look into this for me. I walked in looking to purchase a used truck, but unfortunately it was sold. So I figured I'd take a look at what else they had to offer. The friendly service I received from Devin was certainly a positive experience and I eventually ended up walking out leasing a new Silverado 1500. We are from Massachusetts but it was worth the drive to RI to work with this dealership. I would do it again in a minute, as they take care of everything even being out of state. They treated us with respect, no hard selling, no trying to push extras on us. I am not a fan of the car buying process, but this was as painless and positive as it could be. While our salesman was great, it was clear to me that the overall good experience was due to top down management and I would recommend the dealership to anyone.

I was a loyal Colonial Toyota customer 30 years at least bought a minimum of 15 vehicles from them!!! Well the old man should have never given his son Mike partial ownership if he even did that because after all of those years Mike couldn't get the job done!!! So my sister in law tells me she just traded in her Rav 4 for a Chevy and got a great deal!! I walk into Hurd tell Mike Messina my story while his manager is standing right by and gets me driving a Chevy Equinox within 15 minutes tops!! They worked the numbers and made me very happy!! Mike was so attentive and "on the job" shall I say! He's like a really happy great spirited guy who moves like a nascar and is all about getting the job done!!! While driving, my SUV had 3 warnings lights come on, including reduced engine power. I contacted Chevrolet Sales Manager Dave Richards and asked him if my car could be looked at ASAP. My brand new 2015 Chevrolet Silverado is the 2nd truck that I have bought from Hurd. I was so pleased with the service I received over the last 3 years with my 2012 Silverado that when it came time to turn that truck in there was no doubt in my mind I would be returning again. I dealt with Charlie Gleavey for both of my trucks and appreciated the time he spent with me going over all of the finer details along with all of my payment options. As far as salesmen go, Charlie is top-notch. I never once felt any of that pressure or anxiety that typically comes with purchasing a new vehicle. I would definitely recommend asking for him by name if you are in the market for a new car/truck. This is a family run and owned dealership and it definitely shows in how Chris Hurd conducts himself. My mother was in town visiting and had previously mentioned, in passing she would eventually like to upgrade her car. So while she was in the area, I suggested we go and get some ideas of what she might like, which led us to johnston and the wide selection of dealers the town has to offer. Without naming names and companies, I'll just say that the first few places we went, we were treated poorly because we weren't serious buyers. Then she saw the Hurd sign and suggested we stop in to see what they had to offer. Upon walking in the dealership we were greeted by a salesman named Mike Messina and we couldn't have gotten any luckier. Mike took his time with my indecisive mother and helped her figure out just what she was looking for. When she figured out what she wanted, Mike could not have been any more of a professional. He explained every possible option on the car to the extent, I couldn't believe he remembered it all. He was all customer service, and no pressure. He took the time to make sure all the appropriate paper work was faxed to the right places back where my mother lives. All in all my mother had never had a car buying experience like that before. Mike made the process so easy and seamless. So much so, that when my lease is up I am coming back and buying a vehicle from him. If the rest of your sales people are only half as good as Mike, then Hurd is one lucky dealership. Thanks again Mike!!!!

I must say the first time leasing a car has been a breeze. Not only is Hurd dealership knowledgeable and curteous, but their service is impecable. Maintaining my car has been effortless. we bought both a chevy truck and impala. the staff is wonderful. we had dennis and he was both friendly and very helpful. people are easy to get along with. Julie in finance was also great to work with. they all answer any questions you have, even if you ask them the same question again. they make sure you understand and feel comfortable. best dealership I have dealt with.

I went to Hurd looking for a Chevy Malibu. I live right up the road from Hurd so it was convenient for me to go there. I gave the receptionist my name and I waited for someone to assist me. As I was waiting there, a woman with blonde hair sitting in her office was screaming at a man who was in front of her. I was completely embarrassed for the man and couldn't believe someone would belittle another person knowing their office is glass. I got a cold feeling and left. I ended up purchasing my vehicle at Paul Masse. I truly don't understand why any business would treat their employees like that. Not sure why that woman has a front office, but she needs to be further from the entrance, preferably outside where wild animals belong

Bob became a friend and I felt he was interested in me and the major decision I was making in purchasing a new vehicle. Hurd is a very impressive dealership and I never felt pressure to buy. Not once did the sales manager come by to help Bob put the squeeze on me. I admit I was prepared mentally for him, but I only had to deal with Bob, whom I enjoyed working with. When I was reviewing the deal with the finance person when I rejected the add ons he was okay with that, didn't try to tell me what a mistake I was making.Overall I had a good experience with Hurd.

I just purchased a lightly used 2014 Buick Regal from Jen Lohman, my Hurd sales person and I just want to say that the buying experience was second to none. We made a good deal and even though I hem'd and haw'd for a week they still held the deal we made. Had plenty of time during the test drive, no pressure at all. Once I finally decided to purchase the Regal I called up in the morning, signed some papers in the evening and drove off. All above board, the payments we agreed on, no extras and just the minimum push for more warrantees. Also kudos to Wendy Bowen, the GM who made me feel welcome and comfortable with the process. I'd recommend Hurd for your car buying needs!

Purchased a used GMC Sierra 2500 HD from this dealership on 2/21/15 and it still sits in my driveway with no plates or registration therefore it is illegal for me to drive this vehicle I just purchased and since I'm from New York I really am at the mercy of this dealership. I asked several questions specific to marks on the frame of the vehicle and was not able to get responses even after I asked the sales person Jennifer Lohman to ask Service. No one at the dealership could provide an answer. I should have walked away at that point and not purchased this vehicle. When I spoke with Wendy Bowen (General Manager) about the vehicle she asked Service and was told the drop in bed liner was installed due to blemishes in the bed from the 5th Wheel the previous owner removed. When we asked at the time of purchase no one in service knew what the marks were on the frame after they already installed the drop in bed liner.I drove this "Certifed" vehicle home on 2/22/15 and parked it in the driveway where it sat until I saw a puddle of oil under it and brought it to a local dealer on 3/11/15. I thought all "Certified" vehicles were supposed to go through a 172 point inspection, I guess their service people missed the oil dripping from the front seal. If you purchase a truck with a bed liner ask them to remove it so you can see the bed. We didn't and the marks we asked about were from a 5th Wheel. When we had the seals fixed we were going to put a spray bed liner in this vehicle and they cannot because there are holes in it and it needs to be repaired some of which are 3 inches in diameter and the cost will be $500 to fix. Wendy Bowen the General Manager said they did nothing wrong so, they will not do anything to make this right. I really hope I get my plates and registration soon so I can drive this vehicle.I would also recommend getting all documentation you require for any vehicle at the time of purchase. I have been trying to get information that I put in writing on 3/2/15, 3/3/15, 3/9/15, 3/11/15 and 3/12/15 and still no information.

When I walked into Hurd on Saturday February 28th my intention was to review my current lease 39 month lease which was expiring in 6 months. My salesperson was Joe Oliveira, a very personable guy. One of the topics was the fact that I was going to go over the miles on my lease unless we could get something done in the next couple of months.The next thing I knew Joe Oliveria was discussing the possibility of leasing another car that very day and if I was amiable to doing that. My answer was a resounding YES!!! A short while later I was driving home in a 2015 Buick Verrano!! Was I satisfied? For sure, a great experience from start to finish. Joe did a great job, the Sales manager a real straight shooter laid it on the line and we got it done!! Will I be returning to Hurd when his lease expires? From the moment I was in contact with sales representative I was impressed. Robert Heineken answered all my questions and more! It was my first buying experience and I was extremely nervous but he helped me through the while process! Keith Miranda went above and beyond to help me finance my new lease! My vehicle came with 3 months of OnStar. When we tried to activate it, we found that there was a problem. OnStar could not locate the vehicle. I brought the car in and TROY made me feel that i was a priority. As i waited for their shuttle service to bring me home and get my husband to work, I noticed that all of the service people were 100% focused on every single customer!! I work in customer service so it was refreshing to see others focus on the customer experience at the level I would provide! They traced the problem, ordered the part, and i picked up my car the next morning! I couldn't ask for a better experience!!

I needed a new car and was dreading the long and uncomfortable process it can be. To my surprise, I had a fantastic experience at Hurd last week! Everything went so smoothly and it was actually, dare I say... enjoyable! From the moment I walked in and met with the salesman, Michael Messina, I felt comfortable and relaxed. I did some research before I went to the dealership and I knew exactly what I could afford to spend. I also knew what options were in my price range and what I would not compromise on. Michael was able to get me the SUV I wanted with even more options than I expected and in the diamond white color that I couldn't find anywhere! They have a huge inventory, so I was able to drive away with my new car without having to wait for it to come in. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable. Michael was so easy to work with. He was not pushy and he worked really hard to get me the best deal. He was very informative and made sure that all of my questions were answered (and I had a lot of questions)! He had my new car reconditioned and filled with a tank of gas by the time I left. I also worked with Julia, who helped with the financing. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I especially want to thank Michael Messina my sales consultant for all his help and assistance in getting me into my new (for me) 2008 CRV. Backed up by other folks at Hurd like Dave Richards, Michael effectively facilitated every step of the process. Professional, personable and no pressure, Michael was thorough and attentive to every detail; always keeping me in the picture as the vehicle was prepped and reconditioned. He made sure I had a ride when I dropped off my rental car. Wayne in finance explained the deal clearly and showed me all the options and took the extra time and effort to work to match the loan rate offers I had from other lenders. Got my car from there last weekend and not only did I drive away feeling good about the product itself, but the overall experience. I've always dreaded going to dealerships, thinking of aggressive sales people who are going to keep me there until I succumbed to their "best" offer. This was not that place. At least not to me. From the moment I reached out to them online vs. a few others, my Internet Specialist. Alysa, has been gracious, informative, interested but never pushy. I felt that she genuinely listened to me. My Sales Consultant named Gene, was also patient and informative and the Finance Manager was accommodating and pleasant; not pushy. The dealership itself is clean and spacious. The service waiting area has snacks and wifi (very important). This is not just my first Buick but my first car in RI and with the experience I had in this dealership, I was glad I decided on them. So far, too, the car is fantastic (but, it's too early to say, of course).Anyhoo, I strongly recommend you go see them and experience service and a product that's at par with your worth.

They list great vehicles on their website at excellent prices, I called and spoke with Erica from the Internet department she asked if I was interested in just one vehicle or if there were a few I liked, I specifically told her multiple times I was only interested in one particular vehicle. When I arr at the dealer after driving an hour out of my way after work the first salesman told me the vehicle I wanted was in their shop and tried to get me to consider another. When I told him that I only wanted to look at the one vehicle he offered to check with the manager. The manager then said the truck I wanted was hit on the lot and offered for me to look at a more expensive truck with less options. I asked why nobody would call and tell me before having drive an hour there to which he had no response, so I procee to leave and drive an hour back hour home without ever seeing the wonderfully priced "bait" vehicle they had on their website. Thank you Hurd for wasting my time.

Wonderful car buying experience with Robert Hein at Hurd Auto. I found the used vehicle that I wanted via the internet and someone called me on the phone from the dealership with me within minutes to answer any questions I had. They also have a great customer service texting feature that let's you text any questions and someone gets back to you right away with the answer. So convenient and quick. We drove all the way from Northern MA and they were so accommodating and considerate of our time constraints. Highly recommend!

I researched online for a truck on the Hurd lot and had a no hassle experience to drive off with the truck and to trade in my current car. My fiance an I went to hurd to purchase a truck we saw online. Our salesman Brian made our experience awesome from the start. Really down to earth friendly guy and not pushy. Julia, the fiance consultant, was also awesome. The only real problem we had was when Brian was busy and Dave Richards wanted to try and close the deal with us. He came into the fiance office with an "enforcer" attitude. He was quick to cut off Julia, who was doing an excellent job with us, because she wasn't "moving fast enough" for Dave's liking (he even took her calculator away when she was putting in numbers to figure our pricing!). Dave was also quick to brush off concerns about extending our payments beyond what we were looking to do in a severely chauvinistic manner that turned my fiance an I off right on the spot. If it wasn't for Brian being so apologetic upon our return to get our deposit back Hurd wouldn't have gotten our business on this sale because of Dave's demeanor. At the end of the day ASK FOR BRIAN when you're shopping here, he knew what he was talking about and genuinely listened to us on what we were looking for. GREAT JOB BRIAN AND JULIA!

After a horrible experience with a local dealer, I purchased my second vehicle in less than a year with Hurd. Since Hurd had the exact vehicle that I wanted, I did all of the negotiations over the phone in a matter of 15 minutes. Salesperson Jennifer Lohman and Manager Keith Miranda were excellent to deal with, honest, upfront and available. When I arrived at the dealership to sign the paperwork, everything was ready and waiting. Julia was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. The experience could not have been easier or more efficient...I highly recommend Hurd Auto Mall!!!!

Leased my 5th or 6th SUV from Hurd this week (w/e 8/15/14) and I am in love once again! I walk directly to Mike Hennessey's desk as always, my husband and I catch up with him and then we go shopping! (My son and daughter also shop at Hurd!) The family has collectively owned an Envoy, Yukon, G6, Acadia, Tahoe, Terrain, (Pontiac Grand Am) and now another Acadia! Let me explain that I loved my Terrain...but my lease was up...I was going to purchase it this time...but the Acadia in the Diamond White with the Cashmere leather was calling me from the lot!! Whoever buys my Terrain is getting a beautiful vehicle...as all my GMs have been!! I wouldn't buy a different vehicle and I wouldn't shop anywhere else! Thanks again Mike for your wonderful service!

I traded in my 09 Silverado for a new 2014 yesterday. Chris Dangelis and Michael Messina were great. They did the research to find a perfect match for me...Chris even offered terrific lease options. Purchase or lease...you can't go wrong at Hurd. Very fair on trade-in value and overall pricing. When you put together great customer service and very fair pricing, that's a winning combination! I had been looking at multiple dealerships for a used Traverse. Hurd had a couple that were worth taking the trip from MA. Joe Marzilli showed me both, gave me the facts and didn't try to push the more expensive one like other dealers do. The honest straight to the point process will bring me back to Hurd again.

This is the fourth vehicle I have purchased or leased from Hurd in the past 3 years. The sales and closing departments are second to none. It is by far the easiest dealership to close a deal with. Julia in finance had everything in order when we arrived and the entire transaction took a little over thirty minutes. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Bob Hein at GMC was by far the most thorough sales person I have come across in a long time. We compared vehicle models and was very knowledgeable about each vehicle had in them. It was quite a long day and after 6 hours we finally settled on the Denali. I know that sounds like a long time to be at a dealership however I have been with Hurd for almost 20 years and I didn't want to go anywhere else.I will recommend Bob Hein to all my friends and family!

I bought a GMC Acadia in December 2013, and in July 2014, I realized the car wasn't fitting my family's needs, so I went back to Hurd and bought a Buick Enclave the very same day! The service you receive from Hurd and the entire staff is impeccable, and they truly go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of financially and personally. This is my fourth car purchased at Hurd over the past 20 years, and each time I am completely satisfied, and you will be too. Not like any other dealership I've done business with in the past 35 years. They will always have my business going forward, and I'm not an easy customer :-)

I just recently bought a used 2008 GMC Arcadia From Sandra at Hurd and had a fantastic experience. I live north of Boston so the drive is about an hour and a half or so depending on traffic. When I got there I had the pleasure of working with Sandra. She helped me get the most for my trade in lease and into a more manageable payment in the right car for me. She also made sure I only had to come back once to pick up my car and made sure I understood everything about it or answered my questions before I left. If your looking for help getting the right car I would recommend talking to Sandra.

Less than two years ago, Chris Hurd took me out of my Jeep and put me into a beautiful Terrain. I loved this car so much I was dangerously close to over shooting the mileage. In addition, I had been involved in a terrible accident whereas another driver T Boned my car on the passenger side sending me a into oncoming traffic- that car was damaged more than I was and I attribute no broken bones to the safety rating on this vehicle - whew! Needless to say I didn't want to keep the damaged vehIcle, it was close to maxing the mileage and...One call to Wendy Bowen and Chris and "TA DA! " they started working ! Unknown to me another Terrain was whisked to the dealership so that I could take it home. Wendy, Chris, Chip, Wayne and Jason all worked with a smile and even a few hugs to get me into the car I wanted... Another Terrain- this time in black. I love these guys, all of them. Can't leave out the service department either because they always cAll me when it's time for an oil change and check for recalls. Thanks HURD!

I called the Chevrolet parts department to simply purchase rear differential fluid for my 73 Corvette. I forgot the person who had helped me but I decided at that point to have the dealership Change The fluid for me. What surprised me the most was he took the time to actually set up the appointment for me without being switched to the service Department. He gave me a price for parts and labor that was reasonable and set up the appointment for that same day. When I arrived the service writer was very helpful and accommodating. It didn't even take 10 minutes and the car was on the lift being worked on. I am a sales manager at a Lexus dealership and customer satisfaction is number one and I received that and more from Hurd Chevrolet. Thank you very much and I will return for any other work that is needed.

Earlier this year my wife and I bought a 2010 GMC Yukon XL at Hurd Automall. As part of the negotiations, we told Gene and Chip that we needed to be sure the registration was in place by a certain date because we needed the truck for our annual family vacation in Florida. They both assured us that this would be no problem. Well something unforseen happened, and there was a problem with getting the truck registered in time for our departure. Not having the truck would have been devastating to our vacation, but Hurd stepped up and provided an equivalent substitute vehicle for us to use for the trip. Started my research at Hurd after buying a new Silverado in the past. Drove through the lot and found the truck I could see myself in. It was just at closing on Saturday evening. I searched for a pre-owned Maxima and came up with Hurd Auto Mall which was about 2 hours away from me. I arranged a visit with their internet sales woman Alysa and made an appointment, met Gene who had the card up front ready to drive and I ended up purchasing the vehicle. John the manager was awesome. He was not able to knock off as much as I thought but in the end, the car was exactly what I wanted and we came back a week later to sign the deal and drive the car home. Gene also arranged to mail my plates. If you go see them, I highly recommend seeing Gene. He is really nice, will get you whatever you need, great coffee, great showroom and place to go see cars and he will give you a tour. I don't have a lot of history with the Hurd family but I was really impressed. Seemed as if they are really trying hard to win customer loyalty. I told Gene I would write a review so just go see them - be nice and they will treat you really well!

After visiting the local Cadillac and Lexus dealerships I decided to stop off at Hurd Auto Mall on my way home from work the next day. I just wanted to see how the La Crosse handled compared to the other two vehicles and see if I could get a better value for my money. The sales person who worked with me, Robert Hein, was professional and knowledgeable and spent more than enough time to answer my questions and tailor the vehicle to my wants and needs. Most dealers will lead you to the car that THEY want you to buy, not Robert, he asked a lot of questions and let me walk around the entire lot trying any vehicle I wanted. As a Financial Consultant I'm sure that I wasn't the easiest customer that he ever dealt with, but he handled my questions with patience and professionalism. I will refer my friends, family and clients in the future.

I have bought 3 cars from this dealership in the last year. The sales staff is second to none. This was my first time at Hurd. My last 2 vehicles were bought new and a GMC. I knew what I wanted in a new Acadia but with colors to choose from. Hurd had both and gave me the best trade -in price for my 2009 Acadia which other dealers could not match. Jennifer was up front of what was available and worked on different options for me to choose. With Jennifer and Chip showing me the exact cost on the lease with option to buy with nothing hidden, the papers were signed the next day.I appreciated the honesty and how they work for the customer, which it should be. I went back to Hurd to see my options while my lease was coming up. I met Mike on the lot, and he said he would be happy to show me all my options. I told him I loved all the features I had in my current Malibu, but wanted to lower my payments. Mike took me around the selection they had on Malibus, and I picked out aNice blue LTZ. He took me for a ride in it, and showed me all the new features. After I drove the car, I knew I wanted it. From there it got easy. Mike gave all the info on my car to his manager, and he came back with an incredible payment that was 10 dollars less than what I had in a lesser model. I drove home in my new Malibu with more car than I had, and paying less than I was. The crew at Hurd know how to make things work for you. They sure did for me.

We recently purchased a 2013 Chev. Malibu from the Hurd Auto Mall. Our sales person was Dennis Anderson and we worked with the service mgr. Dave. I can honestly say I would not have reservations sending anyone to them. Their customer service should be duly noted to the owner of the dealership (which I believe it already) was as well as any publications about auto dealerships. They went above and beyond their jobs to see that we received what we wanted -- equipped with all the bells and whistles that we didn't think we could ever get. Each time we spoke with Dennis on the phone or met both Dennis and Dave in person they were exceptional -- I have had the opportunity to deal with auto dealerships at my place of work and the relationship is NOTHING like what we experienced with the great staff at Hurd. I found Dennis Anderson, salesman to be honest, sincere and most knowledgeable. Bob enticed us with a used Colarado that was just brought in for trade that was very very close to filling all our needs however it did sell before we pulled the trigger. The truck was in awesome shape.After that disappointment Bob never attempted to sway us to anything that did not meet our needs. After at least 7-10 days of heavy shopping a vehicle that must be a one in a thousand came along that we gladly purchased at a very fair price and his service was above and beyond what we could hope for. We were told by Bob the vehicle was in great condition. It was better than great.It was a 2005 GMC Denali (black) without even a scratch anywhere on the body. It had at least 5k in upgrades (wheels,rims,rhino bed,tonue cover.runnig boards,chrome rail etc..) he then encouraged us to always make sure the salesman only shows you vehicles that fill your need. July I needed to get a new verhicle as mine needed too much in repairs. I went to Hurd and my salesperson was Dennis Anderson. I told him exactly what I was looking for and price range I needed to be in. He recommended a Terrain - we went out for a test drive, and I loved the verhicle. Dennis is knowledgable and friendly. My family, and I were very pleased and happy with our purchase. We were so pleased that my husband went back to see him in February to purchase a new Dump Truck. Dennis Anderson was again our salesperson and knew exactly what my husband was looking for. I have told my family and friends about the wonderful experience at Hurd and with our Salesman Dennis. It is a dreary, drizzly wet Saturday, April 26, 2014. Our plan was to check out Balise first (only because it was closer) and Hurd to look at and test drive the Chevy Equinox. We had already looked at other makes and models and were leaning towards the Equinox. We drove thru Balise parking lot, massive lake in front of showroom, which we drove thru and almost bottomed out, not happy, no cones warning of deep hole. We drove to the back of the lot where the Equinoxes were parked, not a very large selection, parked anyway and started to look at the vehicles. There was a light mist in the air, we walked around and looked at the vehicles for 15-20 minutes and no one came out to ask us if they could help us with anything. We basically said the "heck" with this, got in the car and drove to Hurd! Now for the good news!We drove thru the lot at Hurd, found the Equinoxes, much larger inventory than at Balise, parked the car, got out and started to look at the vehicles. Weatherwise, still drizzling, and within 2-3 minutes, Darren came down and asked us if he could help us with anything. We told him what we were looking for. Darren was (is) very friendly and personable. He was very knowledgeable about the Equinox, he explained the differences between the all wheel drive, front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive, the pros and cons of each. (My last car was a 1999 Nissan Ultima.)Cars have changed quite a bit since the last time I purchased a new vehicle. He pointed out and explained pretty much every detail on the vehicle. He asked my color choice, we decided on the champagne all wheel drive vehicle and he got us set up for a test drive. All the while, keeping up a light friendly banter with my husband, a joker at heart, never hard sell or pushy. Darren explained where everything was, directional, wipers, Sirius radio, On Star Service, how to move seats and adjust the steering wheel, etc. He drove the vehicle first, then pulled over and let me drive. All the while, offering suggestions and tips about the vehicle and options. We had a great test drive and decided to purchase the vehicle. Darren was very professional and extremely helpful during the whole paperwork and approval process, doing everything he could to help streamline and expedite the process. My husband and I found Darren to be a great salesman, great person and an asset to your sales force. We will definitely direct anyone we know to Hurd and to Darren in particular as he was the positive, knowledgeable, friendly force behind our purchase.Thank you very much!Jodi L. Larry Lemoi was courteous, helpful, not pushy, and buying a used truck there was easy. This was a very good experience all around. I would recommend this dealer ship and Larry to others who wished to purchase a vehicle there. Larry even brought my new license plates down to Wakefield for me so that I did not have to take a relatively long drive back up there to pick them up myself!

I had a wonderful experience at Hurd auto mall. The salesperson David Anderson was great, he was very personable. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle. I told him I had a brand new grandson and that I was concerned about safety, so he had me drive a Chevy cruz, He told me all about the cars safety features (10 air bags) etc.I recently became a widow and was not looking forward to looking for a car without a man with me, but David gives car salespeople a good name. I suggest you keep him around. He put me in a great (safe) car, got me a great finance rate, I could not be happier.I have already begun to tell family and friends about the wonderful experience I had at Hurd and suggest they go there when looking for a vehicle. I will be back, no doubt.p.s. I have always purchased a Toyota (4) since 1990. That just came to an end.

Darren and the dealership did a lot of work trying to get my payments to an area where I could afford them. Unfortunately I was unable to get financed for a lease, but any questions I had Darren could answer. He was a great help and was easy to get in contact with. Mike is very friendly. Since I only have the permit, I cannot drive alone. Mike took me for a test drive and picked me up every time I visited the store. He even helped me deliver the car to my address. This really helped me a lot. The car is perfect and everything went smoothly. I will recommend Hurd to my friends if they want to purchase a car in the future.

DISHONEST dealer, sold me a basket case vehicle as "certified" been in repair shop 3 weeks multiple issues - registration process took longer than 30 days, poor communication & totally incompetent employees on ALL levels. Too many mistakes for "professional" dealership - they should fire everyone except the answering service. BETTER OFF with auction vehicle; would be "safer" bet

This dealership delivered a new vehicle that was not in perfect working order. The rear camera did not work. The vehicle was not fully tested before it was delivered. Once I discovered the problem, they would not take me in right away for the service fix. I had to go back, make an appointment and wait nearly 2 hours to get the problem fixed. They are quick to make the sale and slow to satisfy the customer.

Drove from CT to take a look at the 2005 Toyota Tocoma, the trade-in for our 2010 Saab was higher than expected and the deal on the truck was perfect. The truck did need a front-end alignment, so I planned on driving back to get the truck at a later date since the service department was about to close. These guys got a technician to stay late and fix the front-end which allowed me the oppurtunity to take the truck home that day. These guys were great to work with from the moment I walked in until I drove the truck home. Thanks.

My car broke down and I was in the market for anything that came my way. I went to various car dealerships until I finally ended up at Hurd. I Could tell that the salesman at Infinity and Inskip was just trying to hustle me. He was Talking really fast, speaking about numbers I really didn't understand and when he finally shaved some money off the price he ended up just putting it on the back end. I was so frustrated and overwhelmed with the headache of shopping for a new car. I finally stopped by Hurd and they couldn't have done a better Job breaking thinh down, laying out my options and giving me a sense of relief. I didn't feel pressured at all to buy something I didn't want to, and they helped xxxxx all my possinlities from leases, used cars to financing a new one. I ended up coming back four times to think everything over and Andrew eventually got me into the car that was right for me. I couldn't have been more impressed with the staff from the salesman all the way up to Wendy the GM. Thank you!!!

I honestly hate how fake this dealer actually is, they seem real nice and friendly until you take ownership of the car. Then they choose not to take ownership of the problems your brand new car has, the GM is extremely rude and laughs at the thought of possibly helping you other than saying that is what our service department is for.. to fix your car not help get you out of your lemon. I was taking my car in for something breaking on my car every week! after 7 service visits and several calls to buick and the dealership to anyone who would listen, I had to swallow my money and take a huge hit of almost 4000 dollars to trade my car in elsewhere because they wouldn't even try to get me out of a nuisance car that mine was. They tried telling me we never see problems with these cars you're nuts.. I wasn't nuts because I'm not the only one complaining about the same issues coming into the same dealership. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HURD TO ANYONE EVER! Congratulations team at Hurd, you really did earn such a terrible review that is truth unlike the lies you tell your customers while bearing a total lack of respect to your customers spending tons of money on junk cars that don't even properly get p.d.i. before delivery.

In my search for a used Toyota Tacoma truck, I contacted Internet Sales (Lindsey) to arrange for a test drive. My wife drove from western Mass. to Johnston RI, so we wanted to make sure things were set for our arrival. Lindsey called to verify our appointment, but when we arrived at the dearlership, the receptionist told us to go to the next building to see Lindsey. We went to the Buick (middle builing) and the receptionist there asked us to wait while she got Chip, the manager. He introduced us to a sales person and long story short - the truck was sold the day before. We were under the impression Lindsey was not in that day. I did call Lindsey and she apologized for the confusion, but the damage was done. This is an example of a large dealership where communication can be poor, at best. To be honest, it felt like "bait & switch to me." If I ever drive to Johnston RI looking for a used Toyota, I'll go to Colonial Toyota / Scion. We stopped in there and looked at some used Tacomas. Spoke to Antonio Pais, who was very helpful. Recommend that young man over anyone I spoke to at Hurd. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!

This has probably the best experience I had buying a car, as soon as I walked into the dealership, Mike from sales was standing there asked if i needed help, i explained to him that i was looking for the sales mgr, as i talked to chris from internet sales the that morning explaining to him my situation [not so good credit,negative equity in my trade] Dave introduced me to Mike in sales and we started to get to work right away. Mike's knowledge and professionalism were top notch, he went over every detail and options on the car that i was buying, Sale manager Dave knew of my situation and recommended a new lease program that has come available for people in my situation, My trade was looked at, the numbers were crunched and I drove out of the dealership with a brand new 2012 s.u.v. By far the best,and smoothest car buying experience i ever had. Mr. Hurd should be very fortunate to have both of these individuals working at his dealership, I will definitely will be returning to this dealership when my lease is up.

I've been using Hurd for ongoing service for about 5 yrs now. I came in for an oil change and they charged me $180 for a "recommended" 10k mile service. I read the service description and confirmed that at least two of those services never happened (my tires were clearly not rotated and my fluids werent topped off) When I complained they took off the charge for the tire rotation and said sorry it was a mistake, when I expressed my concern with the service manager that if you can try to slip services that I can see by me, how do I know my oil was changed? (sticker on my windshield was still from a previous oil change, they never updated it!). He stated sorry you shouldnt have to feel unconfident in the service, although I can't claim I saw them change your oil, I'm sure it was done. Really? Thats suppose to instill confidence? I suggest saving your money and having your routine maintenance done by someone else.

Both Wendy and John made my experience not only stress free but enjoyable. John did not rush. He went through all the features of the car and really gave me extra information that I did not already know. John helped me compare the Verano and the Regal and encouraged me to try them both. I would refer anyone and everyone to John. He didn't have the typical over powering salesman personality, very friendly and took a great deal of extra time with me. He worked out many payment plans to find one that I felt comfortable with and presented me with many options. The experience was so nice, that I did walk away with a brand new car. I am a very happy customer and will bring my business back to Hurd in future years.

Overall, we had a great experience at Hurd Auto Mall. We found a used GMC Acadia on their website at a GREAT price. It had just been reduced by 2k and we called for an appointment that same day. John was friendly and pretty straight forward. He pulled some of the old saleman lines like "I work for YOU" and what not, but overall he was likeable. We were asked to leave a deposit on the vehicle we liked, but once we indicated that we wanted to purchase and drive the car home that night, things moved efficiently. The finance guy stayed late to accomodate us, and we were in our new (slightly used) car and on the road home about an hour later.

I have owned the vehicle two months the check light came on and needed transmission lines it was a gm certified vehichle and they decertified the vehichle because they sold me some fonie aftermarket warranty that covers nothing so it dose t make sense why they would decertify a vehichle i would be careful purchasing from them they also told me i had six free oil changes those seem to have disappeared alos have filed claim with attorny general

My son and I were looking for a used car and found a Saturn on AAA's car buying service. Since David's friend and several of my husband's workmates have Saturns they are pleased with, we went to Hurd Auto Mall to check theirs out. Ashley was very friendly and courteous, and John quickly came out to greet us and show us the car. It was in excellent condition and John answered all of our questions in a pleasant and helpful manner. He took us on a test drive, showing great familiarity with the area (which we did not have). David and I were very impressed by the Saturn's quiet engine and superb handling, and frankly the only reason we didn't buy it is that we felt we should at least look at other cars first. In addition, John's personable and candid manner made the whole experience the best I can recall. Back at the dealership, he quickly got us all the additional info we needed, and we concluded our visit with a chat with Ashley. I would have been perfectly happy to buy the Saturn for myself, but David is the one who needed a car. He ended up going with a Focus from another dealership. Still, I would go back to Hurd when my Caravan finally gives out, and will recommend them to anyone I know who needs a car.

Well my wife and I were looking at Wranglers and we found a bunch in the area. After leaving many other dealerships (including several Jeep dealers) frustrated at the amount of time spent wasted on going over numbers (after I clearly walked in with the MAX I would spend), we found a beautiful 2010 Wrangler at Hurd. We pretty much went there not expecting much, but what a difference. Joe sold us the Jeep, and made things so painless for us. We told him what we wanted to spend, what we wanted for our trade, and he made it work. He even beat my bank's interest rate by nearly 3% which was a great bonus. He took care of registration,insurance, making it effortless for us. I would do business with them again for sure. I would also highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new of used vehicle, and don't feel like doing the run-around for hours like you will with most dealers in the area.

I recently purchased my first car from a dealership. After going to three other dealerships and leaving not feeling as good as I wanted to, I stopped at Hurd Auto Mall. (My boyfriend had been telling me that I should stop there. He has purchased three cars there over the years and has always had great experiences.) When I started looking at the cars, I was approached by sales man David Levasseur. I explained to him what I was looking for, told him it was my first time and how I was unsure of what kind of vehicle I wanted. He was so pleasant and knowledgable and took his time going over every car that I was interested in. When I told him there were 4 different cars that I liked, he said.. "Well, lets take them all for a drive." With each car he explained so much in detail and the aspects of each car that he felt would fit my needs and what I was looking for. He talked to me like he had known me forever and made me feel so much at ease. My experience at Hurd Auto Mall, with David Levasseur was great. I couldn't have asked for better. When I went to pick up the car the following day, David helped me in transfering my belongings from my old car to my new car. Once I left, he called & e-mailed to see how everything was going and to make sure I was happy with the car. I had a couple questions about different things after I bought the car, so I called and left a message. Each time he called back right away and went above and beyond to assist me.My first oil change is coming up and Hurd Auto Mall has sent me a reminder e-mail and phone call. The service area is wonderful and on top of things.I have and will continue recommending Hurd Auto Mall.

After some terrible experiences and misleading promisses at other dealerships ( Metro Honda). I ended up at Hurd Chevrolet. As I spoke with the sales person of my finances and my situation he discussed it over with his finance consultant. They came back to me and said they could help me with my situation and they never misled me in anyway and was completely honest with me right from the start, unlike other dealerships! Needless to say I now have a brand new car at a finance rate I didnt think I could get. Everyone at Hurd Chevrolet from Sales staff to Management was exceptionally kind and I was treated with respect at all times. We were over a friends house and saw that his wife had a new chevy malibu. We looked and sat in it and I instantly liked it and asked him where they bought it. He tolded us they bought it at Hurd Automall and if you go there talk to Ed Trotta that he is very nice, helpful and knowledge about his job and product. We would recommend anybody that ask us where we bought it, we would say talk to Ed Trotta at Hurd Automall. Our experience was a pleasant one which at some other dealers would have been a hassle.

I was looking for my dream car and Ed looked everywhere for the car that I wanted and finally found it in Mass. They got the car within a week and I was driving around in my dream car. leased a new car was told quite a few lies by the finance manager troy who is no longer with the dealership was very upset, spoke with rich our salesman, and with crystal the registration clerk, crystal was very knowledgeable and help us understand the things that we were worried about, would recommend this dealer to friends and family ask for rich.

Just purchased a 2010 Chevy Traverse from Hurd and had a great experience. Went in looking for either a new or used Traverse or Acadia with 2nd row captain's chairs, and was just checking what they had in stock and what would be the better deal. Had already shopped around and got pricing from another dealer for a 2011 Traverse but ended up getting a new 2010 overstock Traverse at Hurd with more options and captain's chairs for a better price. My purchase was an AWD vehicle with running boards, roof rack, bluetooth and automatic start vs the 2011 FWD with only standard factory features that the other dealer was offering and Hurd had the better price. They also gave me a very fare price on my trade in as well. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and with the overall experience. Thanks to Steve and all the staff at Hurd that helped me drive home in my new car the same day I purchased it.

Everyone we met at the Hurd dealership were friendly and helpful. We had a particular vehicle,color, and package that we wanted. Other dealers kept calling and trying to sell us a vehicle they had in inventory. We told Dave what we wanted and when he got it to let us know. David along with his sales manager David Richards found the perfect vehicle for us and another dealership out of state, and arranged to have it brought to us. My wife commented what a pleasure it was working with such a friendly thoughtful dealership.I highly recommend Hurd Auto Mall of Johnston, Rhode Island.

I was not really wanting to purchase a car, but was persuded by my husband since my car was starting to cost more in repairs than a new car payment. I saw an add in the Saturday edition of the Providence Journal that caught my attention. The add headline was for leftover 2010 blowouts. Immediately under the headline was a Saab convertible that was marked down from $47,620 (MSRP) to $29,999. I called the dealership on Monday and asked about the 2010 Saab convertible that was listed in the paper. I was told the car was sold on Saturday, but the sale might fall through. I left my name and number with the salesperson, who did call me back later in the day to tell me the sale did indeed fall through. I told the salesperson I would stop by on Tuesday to view/test drive the car. After arriving, test driving, etc., I began my purchase negotiations. It was only at this time, that I was informed the car was a 2009, not a 2010 as the paper's ad leaves any reader to believe. This was my first clue that I neglected to head. Upon negotiating, with my trade-in, I told the salesperson I would get my own financing in order by Saturday. On Saturday, I arrived and had to wait for what seemed like forever to get the 2nd key, owner's manual, etc. This was my second clue that I again neglected to head. The only part that went smoothly was with the finance person, who had all the paperwork in order, ready and waiting. I discussed with the salesperson my expectations as to when I would receive my transfer registration, after all, I HAD to pay them $198 for the 'paperwork service'. I feel that for the pleasure of my business, any dealer should provide this service free of charge, but that is besides the point. I do expect that since I had no choice but to pay this fee, the dealer should arrange for the registration paperwork to be completed at the DMV on the next business day. After a couple of days, I called to check the status of my registration and was told it could take up to 2 weeks!!! I could have gone down the next day myself and did it for free!! Anyway, the salesperson called me a day or two later and advised me the registration would be done by the end of the next week and he would call me to come pick it up (I didn't want it mailed). That following Friday came and went and no phone call until the following Tuesday. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and they were just getting to the registry. Not my idea of service. To make matters worse, I had paid my car taxes late and the registry had not been informed. When I paid my taxes, I didn't think anything of it at the time, since I wasn't planning to purchase a car back then. Anyway, I got the call on Tuesday afternoon; I went to the town hall on Wednesday morning to get the required paperwork to show the taxes had been paid, and brought the paperwork to Hurd AutoMall. Needless to say, nobody seemed to know exactly what to do, just that the salesperson wasn't there, and the person who takes care of the registering of vehicles is not there either. They expect her only after 9am on Thursday. I explain that it has already been over 2 1/2 weeks since I purchased the car and I fully expect the registration to be taken care of on Thursday. I'm told by the receptionist that many owners are waiting for their registrations, and that they are backed up, some people are even driving on expired registrations because they are so backed up. I said this is totally unacceptable, especially given I was not given a choice to complete the registration myself. It seems that at Hurd Auto Mall, no sooner is the sales transaction completed, so is their service to the purchaser. You can buy a car anywhere, it is the service you are really seeking by purchasing at a specific dealer. Hurd Auto Mall does not provide the common courtesy service that any purchaser should expect. Yes, for this $198 fee that I was forced to pay for registration services, I would not recommend this dealer, and they have obviously lost any future business from me. Go figure, without customers,I mean satisfied customers, how do they expect to stay in business other than to continuously prey on unsuspecting new customers. Worse yet, they apparently know they have this problem, but don't seem to care. If they did, they would have taken care of my registration the first business day after my purchase, or the first business day after my first call, or within the first week, or within the second week.....I still don't have it. Can you believe they asked me that if I was satisfied, would I please post my comments on this site?? What, they only want good reviews, not honest ones?

Dave Anderson was very personable and went out of his way to help me with the purchase, even after the sale was finalized. At Hurd they are always professional and friendly. A pleasure to do business with. When I was unsure of which vehicle I was most interested in Dave took the time and patience to go over each one in detail with me.

Hurd Auto Mall is a great place with great people. They make you feel comfortable. The serivice was great. Dave Anderson is a great guy and helped us out alot in picking out the Acura TL. He answered any questions that we had and meet us at the price we wanted to be at. I will def be going back when I need another car.

Mike made buying our Trailblazer EXT a pleasure. He did not pressure us and he took into consideration the price range we were looking at and found a great fit. This is the second car we purchased from Hurd Auto Mall and Mike as our salesman. Mike shows indepth knowledge of the inventory and always let us make the decision without any pressure. We appreciated this very much and made our visit enjoyable and stress free. I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend Both Hurd and Mike (I personally think they are a good fit too).

Joe Marzilli sold me the car and he has been paying attention to any problem or question that I have about the car. A very pleasent experience. joe was wonderful. best car salesman i have ever dealt with. i wanted a used volvo wagon. there were none there. i test drove 3 other vehicles with a trainee. one of them seemed like a possibility. but i was not completely sold. when we got back, joe had a volvo v-70 wagon, that had just come in. he showed it to me, and said it needed to be cleaned up. i asked if i could try it, anyway. he was ok with that, and i loved it immediately.the volvo was about $5,500.00 less than the other car that i was kind of interested in. joe was great. he didn't try to push me into one of the more expensive cars. he took the time to listen to me, and found what i wanted!

I was referred by a friend to give Mr. Anderson a call after I totaled my 2000 9-5 Saab. I have an extremely busy inflexible schedule. After one call to Mr. Anderson, he was at my business THAT night with the car I saw on-line. I loved the car, 9-5 2003 Saab, and bought it soon after. About 2 days after my purchase, an engine light went on. I alerted Mr. Anderson, who told me to call Mr. Richards. Mr. Richards told me to come right down and have the car looked at. When I arrived Mr. Richards had a loaner car waiting for me and the issue was quickly resolved. When I picked up the car Mr. Leonard sat with me to go over what the issue was and gave me some maintenance tips I had never thought of. From the receptionist to the sales manager and right down to Chris Hurd, who had a little reception for new owners, everyone at Hurd was phenomenal. I am in sales myself and it takes a whole lot to wow me....but man they did it. I can only hope that I treat my clients have as well as the family at Hurd treated me. I am a raving fan!!!!

OFFERING TO PICK ME UP ON THE DAY I WAS PICKING UP MY CAR. RECIVED A FOLLOW UP CALL THE NEXT DAY CHECKING TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK. This dealership does not seem to understand good communication or how to follow through on problem resolution. I recommended a friend and never received the referral fee as promissed. The attitude after the sale and during the process is very poor. If you are looking for a sale with negotiaons back and fourth with manager and "what's it going to take for you to buy today ?" then hurd is for you.

Having been in a recent accident I was in urgent need of transportation to get to work and had 7 days to accomplish that due to insurance coverage on a rental. I contacted David R. at the dealership and he offered several vehicles that were within my interest and price range in stock at the time. I made a decision on the vehicle that fit my needs. I had arranged finacing through the CU that I had used on my previous loan, and after visiting with Dave and David on a Saturday, I recived a call from the Finance Mgr. and she asked the rate I was quoted, and when I told her she said let me try to do better. She did! I was very impressed with the care, professionalism and concern that everyone I dealt with at Hurd exhibited. Having just been through a difficult experience with the accident and hospital stay that followed, I really appreciate the personal attention the Hurd employees delivered.

My Wife and I went to Hurd Auto Mall looking to purchase a used pick up truck. When we arrived we were greated by the saleman John Vacca. He showed us all the available trucks. John was very professional and didn't pressure us at all. After we had made a decision on a truck the process was very easy even with securing financing. Our overall experience was very good,and we would return to this dealer.

I was was recomended to Hurd Auto mall by a friend, and was told to ask for Mike Hennessey in sales. I was interested in the Cruz, Mr. Hennessey was very informed on the vehicle, also i felt comfortable speaking with him. I also did not feel any pressure from him, as i had from previous dearler ships. I will recomend Mr. Hennessey in the future to friends and family members.

While shopping around for a new Malibu. I had stopped at Hurd, and met Mike. He was very friendly and knew a lot about the Malibu, and what advantages it had over other cars. To help make it affordable, Dave came to me and explained the advantages of leasing so I could get the car with the features I needed, and keep the payments where I had to be. I would recommend any one to stop by Hurd when shopping for a car, and See Mike and Dave for an enjoyable experience.

I recently purchased a used car from David L. at Hurd. I was very pleased with the experience. I do not typically write reviews however in this case I thought it was warranted. After the sale was complete I found that the navigation disk that came with the used vehicle was unreadable. I contacted David to see what my options were. Within a day another navigation disk arrived at my door. I live two states away so I was very pleased with the prompt and responsive customer service.

I have purchased 15 new vehicles in my lifetime and I have to say that my recent experience at Hurd Auto Mall was the most positive that I have ever had. The dealership went out of their way to locate the vehicle that I wanted within a short period of time and picked it up almost 100 miles away. The salesman was as professional as any I have even dealt with, very friendly, knowledgeable and non pushy. Received excellent value on my trade-in and was able to take advantage of available discounts to lower the price significantly. Overall an extremely painless experience in an industry that is usually quite a hassle.

I had a terrible experience at Hurd. After making an appointment to go test drive a car, I was made to wait for an hour to finally drive it. My salesman had a weak handshake and couldn't look me in the eye. I liked the car and after driving some others I made an offer. My initial online offer must have been rejected for being too low but I was never notified of this. I made an offer through my salesman and after waiting for his managers to get out of a 2 hour meeting, we settled on a price. At this point he conveniently forgot that he had offered me $1000 for a trade in. He seemed annoyed that I brought it up and said he would get back to me. More waiting... then he called back and advised me to donate my car to charity for the tax write off. I finally got annoyed with this whole process and decided to terminate the deal. About 5 hours later I got a call from the sales manager also advising me to donate my car to charity. I told him I wasn't interested and now I'm working with Mastria Nissan where they are willing to make arrangements to tow my trade-in and give me a good deal.

The best car buying experience I've ever had! Wendy, Ron and Steve all contributed to get me into a 2011 Buick Regal, which I've found to be a great decision. They were very friendly and inviting and gave me all of the information I needed to make my car buying experience an easy one. They were extremely patient as well, which I find to be relieving when making such a big purchace. I would reccommend that if you are looking for a new ride, consider Buick. They have done a great job transforming their image and they come up with a new line that combines their classic comfort and ride with an awesome look. Interior and handle blows the doors off BMW 3-series and others like it. Never even thought twice about Buick, but Im really happy with my decision. Thanks guys!

My wife and I needed to get a good solid used car for our son. After doing some inventory research online we found a prospect at Hurd. David assisted us at the lot and all the way thru negotiation process. Neither he or Hurd could have been any more fair or easy to deal with. We got the car we wanted at the price we needed. I know that in the near future I will be looking for a new vehicle for myself and the Hurd Auto Mall and David Levasseur will be my first and hopfully only stop.

I recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab from Ron Mandeville at Hurd and could not be happier. My wife and I have purchased over 10 new GM products in the last 20 years with the last 4 being purchased at Hurd. Hurd is an EXCELLENT dealership and Ron Mandeville is the BEST. Ron is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and went the extra mile to locate the truck that had the equipment and color that we wanted. We felt very comfortable working with him because their was no pressure. He treated us fairly which will keep us comming back. We were also extremely satisfied with sales consultant Joe Marzilli even though he thought my 13 year old daughter was my granddaughter. He also was a joy to work with. Kudos to Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston. My husband and I shopped at Hurd Auto Mall for a gently used vehicle. Not only did the sales consultant, David Levasseur, listen to our needs and steere us in the right direction from the get go, he displayed the utmost professionalism and courtesy manners with all of our questions and dealings. He surely made our experience a pleasurable one and should be commended! Also, Jamie in the finance department was super to deal with as well! The sales transaction was easy and stress free. We were excited to buy our "new" 2008 Mazda 6 at Hurd and seal the deal with the 3.25% interest rate secured through Hurd Financing. We had a memorial service for my old 1998 Plymouth Breeze with my two teenager daughters and their friends, who I had the pleasure of taxiing around town for almost ten years. Parting was such sweet sorrow! Seriously, Hurd's fine work was greatly appreciated and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. I can see why Hurd stands by their motto, "Where you can send your friends ...and family!" A big thanks once again to the folks at Hurd.

After buying by truck from Hurd I was given a free oil changes for the 1st 2 years of service. My 1st oil change appointment took 1 hour and 45 mins. Then a week later the truck needed service work for a warranty repair, I took it in on a Monday morning and didn't hear from anyone in the service department until I called them on Tuesday afternoon. At that time they didn't have any answers for me and stated they would get right back to me. 2 hours later I had to call back and drang any info out of them and at that time they still didn't have any answers for me and again told me that they would call me back. 2 more hours goes by and I still didn't hear from anyone and now I try calling back and I was told " they are gone for the evening and to call back in the am" So there I sat without a ride for 2 and an half days with no answers. Service department is to big for it's own good.

Worse Experience buying a car ever! I purchased a 2010 Camaro and the car is beautiful. Richard the Sales man was actually nice and good to deal with. Ron the sales manager is a Prick, Mean, Rude, and Slimeball. The Finance Guy, former Military man he said, was a bigger prick, and trys to talk over you even after you told him he was being rude. As soon as they thought they had the sale in the bag, there attitude towards me changed, but they forgot one thing, I had not given them a dime yet. The Scum Finance guy had to eat his words and hide his head up his ass afterwards, with no appology in site. Please do not buy from these guys!!! GO elseware! so many other Cheverlot dealers in RI, and MA. this purchase left a really bad taste in my mouth and many others. The Finance and Ron guys need to be fired and can't wait to get there report card in the mail from Chevy. A lot of sales guys are Slimey, these are the worst of the worst. I called them out and they backed down like sissy dogs.

I would ride a bicycle before I bought a car again from Hurd or had my car serviced there. My dealings with them finally turned me into a foreign buyer (Acura) after being a GM guy all of my adult life (bought GM since 1982). Bought a Bonneville SSEi from Hurd. Ran fine until it hit 100K miles. Tranny issues. brought it in. Was told I needed a near entire rebuild - about $3500 - but everything that could go wrong with a tranny would be fixed. I went ahead. Within months I had tranny issues again. Was told I had just a portion done of what I should have had done, I needed another $2000 in work. The original service tech had quit. Dealt with the service and I felt he was being straight with me, but I did feel ripped off that the original service tech only told me half the story. Had I known the repair would have cost me $5000 I wouldn't have had the repair work done - and the tech wouldn't have earned his big fat commission on an expensive repair (yes folks, they do earn commish on what they sell you for repairs). Facing this new bill I went to the customer service department and explained that I would buy another car from them if they took this one in trade - giving me full trade value even though it needed a $1500 repair (it would cost them much less than this of course - and since my needing this repair was their fault for not telling me the whole story upfront). Their response was to tell me they would give me "scrap" value - and only if I payed sticker for the new car. I have never been so infuriated in all my life. I left a message for Chris Hurd - or SOMEONE with authority - to call me because I wanted to buy a car from them. Never heard from them again. I explain my ripoff to everyone I can who mentions they want to buy a car. Hey Hurd...I hope your ripoff felt good at the time because I am sure I have dissuaded a few people from buying from you. I love my Acura and will never buy a GM product again.

I brought my subaru to Hurd Auto Mall for service.I was very happy with the quality of the work, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The service at Hurd was superior to the service at the dealer I where I purchased the car. I recommend Hurd to everyone.

Left my new Avalanche for service last week. Was ready when they said it would be, all work seemed to be AOK. Have delt with Hurd for many years, and have always been satisfied. No reason to go anyway else. Mr Chadwick worked with me to explain what work need to be completed for the required warranty service schedule. Although they have a very nicely appointed waiting area, there was no need to use it as the work was completed on time and they made the whole experience painless. Also in the past on other work, I have found there prices to be very competive.

The service department employee that I dealt with were very helpful and friendly. They took the time to explain what services they would perform. Also upon pick-up of my vehicle they explained all of the services they had performed. What i really liked was that my vehicle was ready for pickup exactly when they said it would be. I will defintely recomend and use this dealer in the future.

In this economy someone wants to buy a new car and they don't follow up. I called about three months ago and left my email and cell phont for a new 2008 model and then again recently to see if they still had the car and if not, if they had any preowns. Both times, no one called me or followed up. Unbelievable. The second time I had complained too. They took all of my information again, someone else. Who said American car dealerships are suffering?
