From start to finish our experience was fantastic. We never felt pressure to buy and yet we felt very well taken care of by our sales associate. He never steered us toward the pricier cars and was always happy to find yet another car for us to test drive! (We test drove quite a few). Even as we looked at purchasing additional warranty coverage for our car, our sales manager never pressured us. In the past we have dreaded visiting car dealerships. Not this time! I think we've found our car dealer for years to come!

Bought a brand new 2015 GTI back in June from a dealership in PA. The car has a malfunctioning compass and CarNet. Brought the car in to see what the issue was. They ran some tests and determined a certain part was malfunctioning. This part is expensive and Volkswagen told them they wouldn't approve the part being replaced until all other options were exhausted. This made them retain the car for around a week and I got a rental which was a lesser car but no big deal. Well all else failed nothing they did worked so they needed the part but didn't have it. I let them keep the car a few more days until the part came in to save me some time and money I live 45 minutes away. The part didn't arrive when it was supposed to and they had the car for to long as it was so I went and picked the car up and starting to get impatient. Much to my surprise after picking the car up both the compass and CarNet were working! I was skeptical so I gave it a week to determine if it was indeed working and it was so I told them to forgo the part being replaced thinking that by resetting the system or by disconnecting and reconnecting the part it fixed the issue. Well big mistake on my part as 2-3 months passed both the compass and CarNet failed again which is exactly what happened after I bought the car it took a couple months to fail. After bringing the car in the first time I noticed a nice scratch on the driver side door handle and on the LCD screen plus mega scratches over the RPM cover plus a sloppy job of reinstalling the cover near the sunroof/lighting buttons. Also someone had gone in the glovebox for no reason and the car was filthy and I let them know about it this is unacceptable. I also noticed one of the vents was broken but that may have been that way when I purchased the car there was no reason for them to mess with the vents. I was praying I wouldn't have to bring the car back in but had no option. I called them back up after the compass failed again to have the part replaced but they said they didn't have it because I opted not to have it installed but would call me when it came in. A couple months pass and no call so I called them back and left a message for Chris. I didn't get a call from him for a couple days so I called back and spoke to him and set up an appointment. Had to bring the car in before 9:00am and they didn't finish the job until 3:00 so I had to drop the car off and come back again. 3 hours worth of drive time to and from and no loner this time. Picked the car up talked to Chris and could not believe the situation. NOTHING was fixed not the compass or the CarNet no joke. I was about to go postal until he explained it might take 24 hours for everything to kick in. I was very doubtful but gave him the benefit of doubt. Waited over 24 hours the next day and yet again nothing was working. Called him back up and I wasn't happy as this whole situation is ridiculous. Back to square one with no solution in sight. If this doesn't get resolved soon I'm going to review the lemon law paperwork that I got with the car this is unacceptable. I've spent a lot of time and money on gas not to mention miles on my car for several scratches inside and out on my car and messy mechanics leaving dirt all over the doors etc and a glovebox intrusion for no reason plus 11 miles put on my car at the dealer for what reason exactly??? To say I'm not happy is an understatement and now dread going back yet again to have more scratches and dirt on my once clean car for something that may or may not work. Yeah I will never buy a Volkswagen again a friend of mine has also had issues with a new Jetta a few years ago. Guess I should have known but all the Golfs were the Car of the Year so I bought the hype. Had a 2010 Mazda 3 for 6 years with not one issuse I'm sorry I traded it in. Don't get me wrong I love the car but the problems aren't worth the trouble and don't justify paying 30K either. I would go to another dealership but the VW dealers are few and far between around here and the next closest one is an hour away. Guess I should have bought a car where the dealership wasn't in another time zone haha.

Our car was in good operating condition when we went to this dealership but had a major breakdown after we left. They charged us for the towing cost, blamed us for the car and were very unfriendly to my wife.

We waited at another dealer for nearly two hours before getting much help with our trade-in and car search, so we came to Ide VW to see what they had on the lot. I've owned many a vehicle and been to many dealerships. This was the first time I ever felt like the sales person (David Ruzhansky) was there to assist me. He was fast and efficient, no games. The vehicle I purchased (2015 Golf GTI) is the finest I've owned, especially for the money (I've previously owned a 2001 BMW E39, 525i).When I purchased the vehicle it had some lot damage and the team immediately went to work to fix any and all of it without question. Each time I've gone for service the staff has been very friendly and helpful.This is a quality dealership with a quality product and even better...quality people.

I just wanted to make sure I again passed on to you the wonderful and unexpected car buying experience we had at Ide Volkswagon.David Ruzhansky was great. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and never pushy. He followed up in a nice way. We felt comfortable and never pressured or stressed through the entire process-- which was amazing and not expected.The initial paperwork took about 10 minutes and the final paperwork, upon car pick-up, took about 10 minutes as well!We also received a deal that was better than expected. Again, amazing. No other VW dealership nor other dealership of a similar type car could come close to the deal that you offered. I never felt I was truly getting a great deal on a car looking back on other car buying experiences I've had over the years --until now. I also wanted to mention Steve Bentivegna. This is my second Volkswagen lease from Ide VW. Iwas originally going to look at other vehicles but my overall experience was so good I wanted to stick with VW. The salespeople were very helpfully and worked with me to explore the different vehicles they represent. The service department at Ide VW is fantastic and I had a very good experience overall. I went in looking for a second car, and Steve helped me find the car I ended up with. I never felt rushed, forced or hassled. I truly love this dealership and the employees. I now have a 06 Jetta and a 12 tiguan. Steve went over all the features of the tiguan with me, and helped me sync my windows phone to the car. We even joked how the aux sync cord is for apple, and that I what is always installed. Paul was awesome he helped me through the paperwork and helped me extend the warranty to save me money down the road. The service department is also an awesome group of people as well. When ever I go in for service I get treated with respect. They always do a great Job and work as fast as possible. Thank you Steve, and the ide dealership. I am a life time customer.

I had an oil change there and my VW was parked in front of the building for customer pick up ,and I drove no more than 20 feet and I'm hearing a dragging noise , it was my Splash Shield on the bottom of the car. My first thought was how could the Tec do an oil change and not see that, take the car down off the lift drive it to the front of the building and not hear that Splash Shield getting dragged on the pavement . Evan Boyer on the Management team did get this taken care of for me .

The reason I am providing this rating is because Jim Redden the service writer went the extra mile and went to bat for me as a customer. I'm in the customer service business and provide training in this arena and very few people do this anymore. Its always easy just to say hey this is the problem this is how much it will cost take it or leave it. I have dealt with Jim for a few years now and he makes coming there a pleasure. Jim knows how to deliver bad news with compassion and also has the common sense and logic to know when to go to bat for the customer.People like that is the reason I come to Dick Ide service. It took my college age daughter and I almost 2 years to talk my Husband into a VW. My Husband has been a Honda Master Tech or a Toyota Master Tech since 1989. He has always been an ASE Master Tech and has some extra's now above and beyond the Mechanical workings of today's Autos. Has to do with the fact that we really drive multiple computers down the road at 60 + miles an hour. For Our Family we really need to get the MPG with 3 kids in college, commuting. Honda and Toyota don't offer a product that gets reasonable MPG in both City and Highway driving at a college price point (used). We researched the Hybrids across the spectrum of Manufactures. We finally found a used TDI Jetta with a clean car fax and regular maintenance at a dealer. My husband likes to see factory parts on used cars, returns them to the day you drove it off the lot as a new car. Friends get in our Honda's and Toyota's with 200 plus miles on them and can't believe how nice they drive and feel. No unnecessary rattles, squeaks or strange feeling suspensions. Regular Maintenance and Original Parts will do that for used cars. We drive most of our cars to 250,000 or 280,000 miles & I have never had to call a tow truck! So from my perspective here is My Opinion of your Dealership Jim is very busy, very helpful, very professional and thank you for our Discounted in the Industry Rate! ( it just didn't go over well with Husband, with in a week of owning the Jetta, remember we talked him into this car, his scan tool was not able to talk VW Radio. The discount returned Marital status to Excellent thank you again!) Gary seems to be a wealth of information equally as busy and just as professional. The younger gentleman standing behind them, also very polite and just seemed to be taking it all in, while jumping in any time he was directed to do so. I wandered the Dealership for an hour to about 90 min. Not one Sales Employee let me walk by with out saying Hello or asking if they could help me with some thing. The Gentleman with all the VW Keys, I'm guessing new or used Car Guy, maybe both. Also said hello and offered assistance. Same professional tone. We have been to the parts dept. several times picking up an assortment of filters, cabin, fuel, air to name the few I can. Bruce in parts maybe, Not sure of his name. was very helpful with the recommended maintenance schedule for our particular used Jetta TDI. I know My husband researched and shopped for the correct TDI Motor oil for our TDI and then purchased from the dealer, because you were competitive on price. Thank you for that. Tony, on his own, saw the fuel filter we were purchasing and advised my Husband to not let any diesel fuel get on any of the belts when you replace that filter. If it did, to wash them right away. Thank You Tony. My husband, being a Master Tech would not let any fluid or debris from any filter get on any belt or generally where it does not belong. That just creates unnecessary wear and tear along with strange smells when things get hot. The difference between a Mechanic and a Technician. If a tech takes a little longer to perform a job it is because you know the wires, cables, clips, heat and other shields, sensors even & any thing else put in the way, were replaced to the Original Manufactured Position or better. No chance of things migrating into the path of a moving part. When it comes to bakes those plugs and shields are doing the best they can to keep the road salt out the components that are going to stop you. I don't know Tony's rank and file, but he was also polite and professional with out being asked to do so. I believe my AUX. problem was taken care of in a timely fashion. I seem to have been held up by the washing of my car. Which was very nice of your dealer to do that. It was not expected for the minimal thing we needed done to the car. In the end it stressed Jim out, waiting for it, & the bugs were left on the front of the car so it was really just a rinse in the end.LOL

VW service The reason I am providing this rating is because Jim Redden the service writer went the extra mile and went to bat for me as a customer. I'm in the customer service business and provide training in this arena and very few people do this anymore. Its always easy just to say hey this is the problem this is how much it will cost take it or leave it. I have dealt with Jim for a few years now and he makes coming there a pleasure. Jim knows how to deliver bad news with compassion and also has the common sense and logic to know when to go to bat for the customer. People like that is the reason I come to Dick Ide service. I came in with issues allowing my GTI to pass New York State Inspection. After speaking with the servicve manager, they got me immediately in to have my car looked at. The technician did a great job finding the issue and resolving the issue for me. They provided the inspection and the car passed with no issues. Although I cannot truely blame the technician, the resolve for the issue too a bit longer than expected, but I am happy they did such an excellent job in diagnosis and remedy of the issue... and did it properly. After work was complete, they only charged me for the inspection itself, so I must commend them for that.

I went into Dick Ide today for my yearly service. Once again, I was impressed with the people, service, everything...Today James Redden helped with my car, and Gary Dianetti greeted me upon arrival. The waiting area is the best I've ever seen in a dealership and the service and friendliness of the people are great. The car is running perfectly. The VW CC is a fantastic car, and Dick Ide is the BEST! James addressed my one concern and explained the transmission system to me. To top everything off, they washed my car when they were finished servicing it. Thank you so much for this outstanding dealership. I recommend Dick Ide anytime my friends are interested in buying or servicing a car!

I had a factory Rep look at my car and run background checks on my vehicle for the VW rust perforation warranty that is clearly stated in my owners manual. He said my vehicle qualify's for the repair work and I even went to the body shop for a collision estimate. It has been over 6 months and every time I call I get forwarded to Mike Szlachetka the service manager and get an answering machine. I cant believe the poor service and unprofessional of this establishment and the disregard to honer warranty's. One word, Wow. Go to Henrietta and take your business there.

Just recently, I traded in my 2011 Touareg Sport for a 2014 Touareg TDI, but this is my first experience with Dick Ide VW, and so far, I couldn't be more pleased. Steve Bentivegna, my sales person, was friendly, straightforward and professional. I really, really appreciated that I did not have "to play the old-style game of hardball negotiation." I had done my research online, came prepared, and was treated with courtesy and respect. When I purchased the car, I met Paul Stojanov to complete the paperwork; he too was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. When I was in for my double-check service the other day, he made a point of stopping to say hello and offered to help me set up the automatic payment with VW if I had any issues signing up. I met Jim Redden the day I picked up my car and dealt with him on my first month "double-check." He listened carefully to my questions and gave me helpful information on the TDI; he was patient, friendly, and efficient. The service was finished on time and my car came back to me after having been washed, a very nice courtesy. The friendly professionalism of the entire staff at Dick Ide VW is truly a pleasure to experience.

Everyone is friendly and courteous. Service is always prompt and efficient. I love how easy it is to go online and schedule a visit. I have always been able to get in quickly and at a time that is convenient to me. The waiting area is bright, spacious and clean. I also love that you watch Fox News in the waiting room ( just my personal preference).

I am so glad Dick Ide has the ER VW Dealership now! I wasn't happy with the Henrietta dealer anymore and I had heard stories about how bad the previous ER VW dealership had been. Well, when I saw the ads that Dick Ide was there now, I decided to check it out. They are super friendly and easy to work with. They got me a great deal on my new Passat too! I just used their service department too and they were great. Gary helped me out a bunch. Overall I am so happy and wish them the best with their new dealership!

A shout out to Dick Ide Volkswagen! Great customer Service!What a difference a name has made.I got into my VW Tiguan this morning and my coolant light wash flashing and beeping.I drove to work and called Dick Ide since they a right down the street from my office. I spoke with Gary and he told me to stop in; that more than likely it was just my fluid level. I brought it over during my lunch hour and they took it right in and topped me off. When I asked what I owe; he said nothing you are a VW customer! What a difference; when it was Vincent VW I would dread anytime I had to bring my car in for service; on several occasions I had to call my dad who ended up going in with me before any work was done on my car.Thank You Gary and Thank You Dick Ide VW; for your stand up service. It is appreciated; you have restored my confidence and faith!

I purchased my fifth VW Beetle this past June, 2013. James was the salesperson. He has moved away however took my wonderful new Beetle for 10,000 mile service this am. It was the best experience. All staff was friendly, professional, made me very comfortable in a nice lounge area with large flatscreen tv so I could watch the morning news, plenty of reading materials available and coffee. When my car was finished being serviced I was told that everything needed, ie: oil change, etc. was completed and, on top of that, they had washed it and dried it off! She was parked out in front of the dealership not only all serviced and ready to go but nice and shiny and sparkly as well. Of course now she is the queen of the highway!! what can i say, what a great experience yet again. I had to get my CV Boot and joint fixed, which was, i found out at my inspection. the service department went above and beyond, in every way.i have the extended warranty, but it was missing paper work. James got the paper worked straightened out, and got my car fixed. They even replaced my gas cap, due to a broken strap. as well as fixed the window washer hose, that sprung a leak. some times the small things make the biggest difference. it is always a pleasure coming to the new Dick Ide Volkswagen of East Rochester. Gary and James are the best, they treat everyone with respect and they do what is right. i cant wait to see the dealership grow and see what is to come. I know when i start to look for a new car it will be with Dick Ide Volkswagen of East Rochester. i wish i could rate higher then a 5. thank you again Mark

My GTI needed some work done months ago. I had been taking it to the other VW dealer in Henrietta because Vincent was terrible. The other dealer doesn't seem as good as it once was either though. So when I saw that Dick Ide Honda had bought Vincent I decided to try them out, after all, East Rochester is much closer to me. Their service was excellent. 1000% better than it was before. Everyone is friendly and helpful. So, last week I decided to check out a Jetta GLI at Dick Ide. Again, very helpful and informative. They worked up a great deal for me and the next day I was driving home in my new GLI. I love it! I am very happy that I now have a GOOD VW dealership near me. I would def tell my friends to visit them, actually 1 already did and they loved to too!

Dealer and Dan was able to get me into the car I want in less than 24 hours when another local dealer code named dorschel. Just kidding that's no code name that the actually dealer. Dick IDE and Dan were perfect and offered a better price, quicker time, and overall better experience. Plus the lifetime free oil changes didn't hurt. Go to dick IDE for anything and everything and avoid dorschel at all cost.

Actually want to just buy a car and actually got more that I expected. My wife purchased a VW Sportwagen from a different VW dealer about a year earlier. We liked it so much, when my GTI needed to be replaced, another TDI Sportwagen was the obvious choice. We stopped by Dick Ide and Dan Welch was very helpful in drafting up a good deal. When picking up the car, it became clear this dealership is really concerned about customer satisfaction. Dan went though everything making sure I fully understood the financing, add-ons, options, warranty and especially how to use all the features of the car. The Car was perfectly detailed like a show car and had a full tank of gas. It was a very relaxed and comfortable experience (no pressure). This pickup process seems to be dealership quality standard.By comparison, the year before, the other dealer seemed to be only concerned about selling extras, then slapped on a set of plates and waved goodbye. We left with rattling licence plates and no knowledge of how to use many very important features and no owners manual.A year later, Dan covered many of the little tricks/tips we were unaware of. So I'm very pleased with my new Sportwagen and also more pleased with my wife's year old Sportwagen.

Knowing the reputation that the VW dealer had before It was Dick Ide, I was hesitant to even stop by. But being lazy and not wanting to drive to Henrietta, living in East Rochester, I decided to give them a try. I sent an email about the car I was looking for and got a call within the hour to set up a test drive. So I popped over around 4 pm that day and spoke with Dan Welch. I told him I was looking at either a used CC or a 13 lease and trading in my 2000 GTi. We went through the available stock and decided on a beautiful silver CC sport Rline. Less than an hour later, my new car was registered, cleaned, inspected and Dan had my insurance updated. I drove home in my new car that same day. This was honestly the most rewarding experience I have ever had at a car dealership. Everyone in that building was helpful and engaging. I couldn't be happier. I will definitely get my next car here, and so will all my friends.

Coming from Dorschel over to Dick Ide - the experience was truly mind blowing. I was very pleased with how Dan handled the sale, and was very honest with me when asked for his opinion on my situation. The service manager, Mike, has always been friendly and helpful, and it really makes a difference when you get treated with respect. Dick Ide listens to the customer and went out of their way, above and beyond, to make me happy in several different situations. I have a personal relationship with everyone at the dealership, including Matt who has worked on my car already! I see no reason to go anywhere else.I purchased a 2013 CC at Dorschel, and had several problems with it. It wasn't until coming to Dick Ide VW that my problems were addressed and FIXED. My situation was unique and I ended up getting out of the CC into a 2013 GTI due to more problems with the car, needless to say Dick Ide presented me with an option that I could not pass up. I will bring our other VW over to Dick Ide to trade in when the lease is up!

Found the car online (650 miles from my home) and began an email/text conversation with Samantha Choi. She answered all questions, of which I had many! She was very pleasant and helpful. I bought the car sight unseen (except pictures), and Sam took additional pics of the areas I couldn't see in the advertising pics. Sam was very helpful and clearly wanted to earn my business!When my wife and I arrived at the airport we were picked up by Sam Choi, who was very pleasant and helpful! We were treated well all along the way. Since they just had a 20" snowfall, they left our car inside! Sam Choi also included her own snow brush in the car since we had not brought one! Paul Stojanov in the finance department is a real professional and a credit to the store as well!I have been involved in various levels of management in the automotive industry for 20 years and generally don't buy cars from dealers, but this experience was fantastic!Thanks again Samantha Choi, Paul Stojanov, and Dick Ide Volkswagen!

I recently purchased a very low mileage 2009 Tiguan from Dick Ide Volkswagen and found the sales, service and management to be very friendly and helpful during the pre-sales, sales and post-sales processes, without the high-pressure tactics of some dealers. Dan was great to work with and very knowledgable in the Tiguan, was thorough in preparing the sale and explained every aspect of the car during delivery. When a problem was discovered with one of the tires after the sale, service was easy to work with in correcting the problem.Because I haven't had any real services done yet, I rate them good based on their response to fixing the tire issue. In my mind a dealer service rates Great when they go above and beyond expectations, showing a genuine commitment to great customer satisfaction. I look forward to experiencing that in the future.By the way ... I love driving the Tiguan and I am convinced it is one of the best-handling small SUVs on the market, and with very high build quality.

Its great working with Ide because everyone is so friendly! You get the feeling people are actually glad that you stopped by. You dont feel like youre taking them away from something else theyd rather be doing. Its a nice, warm, comfortable atmosphere. My salesperson here was Paul Yohannes, who was great from start to finish. He told me more than Id ever want to know about the car, and I probably told him more than he wanted to know about my car. He was very professional.I purchased a 2013 Jetta TDI Sportwagen. I really need a wagon for all that I do and for hauling all kinds of stuff around. I love the fact that its diesel because it's going to get great mileage. It has that super VW styling and drives wonderfully! When I was shopping, I also considered a Toyota Prius. But since I have already owned two VWs, the Prius just looked a little plain . It didnt have the style or the fun of VW, and frankly for the kind of driving I do, the VW is going to be just as fuel-efficient. I heard about Dick Ide Volkswagen of East Rochester because I did business here with the former owners. The Ides are always advertising on television and I know them personally, so when I heard that they had purchased this VW dealership, I was looking forward to working with them. I think the main thing that makes this dealer different from others is that it doesnt feel like they just want to sell you a car. You dont feel like people are pushing to get you to make a decision. If you come in and buy a car that's fine; and , if you dont walk away with one thats fine too.

Working with Todd made the purchase of my new 13 VW CC the easiest car purchase I have made to date. Todd was very accommodating and worked with me over text and email which made my life a lot easier. Going forward I will be using this dealer to service both the VW's that I own, in fact my 2011 VW was in for service and was diagnosed, repaired under warranty, and lastly delivered to me in time. Very happy with the new management at this dealer, back when it was Vincent VW I would not set foot in this location and had to take my cars 20 miles to the other side of town which I don't see myself doing again.Thank you Todd and good luck at VW of East Rochester!

I was in the market for a Volkswagen for a few months now and saw that Dick Ide bought out Vincent, so I decided to go down and check out the cars there. I had a great experience. Dan was a great salesman and he hooked me up. He gave me all the information I needed to make a good decision and I felt like I did that. Im very happy with everything. I ended up getting the 2013 VW Jetta GLI. I went in a hundred different directions with the color and I didnt know what to do. I came down checked out all the colors, and I loved the white.

I'm buying a car about every 2 to 3 years. Dan Welch did a great job in explaining our new car. He was great. I never had a sales person or dealer go over the operation and all the options as Dan did. It was my best experience buying a car I ever had. We even met the owners of the dealership. We have 3 cars in our family, and 2 out of 3 are Volkwagen. I'm sold on Dan, a true professional. I'll be back.
