Went there today and leased the exact car I was looking for. Darren was awesome. Helped me even get into the vehicle same day. He was super accommodating and I definitely didn’t get that car salesman attitude you typically get when going to a dealership. I would totally go back there for my next car. Answered all my questions and helped me go through all the settings in the car too. They were all so friendly and amazing. Definitely 5 star experience! Ps - this car is BEAUTIFUL and drives like a dream :)

Went their on my one of friends recommendations. And my experience is very postive note. I was greeted by Mr Cosmo , and 8 explained to him what I needed. He gave me very good lease as well as finance quotes. He explained me all the available packages and offered me to Test drive the car. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth person, he never pushed me to buy the car today like other dealerships do. This dealerships has many cars available on premises and they have service shop also available. Definitely will go back and finalize the deal.

the service department isn’t helpful at all. Brought my car in under warranty to fix curb rash on my wheel. Filed a claim on my own, called Acura and schedule to get a loaner and they offered me 3 weeks later to bring in because that was the first date available for loaners. I was fine with that. I walk in and the women in front tells me that the claim might not get approved because i waited too long to bring it in. They offered me the appointment! No one ever told me that information and i asked her why no one told me over the phone and she goes “we just say yes to say yes.” Waiting all day for “authorization” on the claim. What am i even paying for?

My purchase was unencumbered by any pressure. I walked in and asked questions, went to my vehicle, went back in and asked more questions, went back to my vehicle, called my son in law, went back in and let my son-in -law speak with Mr Cosmo Clemente my salesman. Again I went back to my vehicle. Feeling confident that the salesman was honest, upfront and never pushed the sale I decided the ILX is exactly for me. I bought it the same day within. I love the car. I still am learning how things work. Cosmo gave me directions though I needed to be somewhere. I know I can return with questions anytime.

Shopping for a new car is never a pleasant experience for me, However this changed when we walked into Island Acura and met Tim Timko, salesman. He was 100 % on the level with us. No nonsense . The deal he quoted us is exactly the deal we received. No hidden charges or fees. He showed us the vehicle and explained all the features as well as a test drive. Upon delivery, he spent almost one hour going over the car with us, Including programming our phones and adjusting and setting seat and mirror adjustments. We highly recommend this dealership. I know we'll be back for our next vehicle.

I went to this dealership just to look at the 2017 RDX and fell in love with the car. Now, I am going to pick up my SUV this weekend. They had the style and color that I wanted with even sales deal on extra trimmings to be added. Buying a car was never a pleasant experience until I purchased my 2017 Acura RDX from Island Acura.. Bobby, my salesman, was very knowledgeable, professional throughout the whole process. He answered all of my questions and I never felt like I was being pushed into buying the car. I never had to argue about price as the price offered was fair. i have had and Acura now since 2008. Due to a re-call for airbag - I went to Island Acura. I cannot say enough an=bout the service personnel - always on target and very helpful. I don't have anything negative to post regarding the sale of my Acura. However, the serviceman at the desk is a grouchy, nasty man with terrible customer service skills. I believe his name is Joe. I am in the customer service industry and if I ever was like that towards a customer I would be fired. I think he needs a talking to.

Charles was the first to greet me in the showroom and was very polite and welcoming. I came back with my wife and was very respectful and answered all her questions. It was my first time leasing a car, usually I just purchase, he explained the whole process quiet well and made me feel better about it. His knowledge on the Acura products was more than I could ask for. I came back about 3-4 times before finalizing a deal and not once did he lose patience with me nor was he pushy. I purchased my first car at Island Acura in 2004 and was very pleased which is why I came back and will continue to come back to Island Acura. Before I even walked into Island Acura was I expecting the worst; well it was a game changer! I had the pleasure of working with Rocky and the whole experience was very honest and transparent. I was shown the cars I was interested in and given numbers without all the "let me talk to my manager". Rocky was great and made the whole experience fun and easy like it should be! Jim, the finance manager, was great to work with as well. This experience has definitely changed my feelings about car shopping. I would recommend Island Acura in a heartbeat!

Even though I don't drive an Acura I was in the area and realized I needed my annual inspection done as well as an oil change. I thought I would take a chance and see if they could possibly take care of this for me without an appointment Mr Robinson not only said yes but got me in and out with no problem and treated me like an established customer The staff was friendly the waiting area comfortable and the service provided was great My car runs better than ever I would definitely recommend Mr Robinson and the service department at Island Acura

I just bought my first new car in 12 years and Rocky Tarik was my salesperson. He did such a great job! He spent as much time as we wanted going over all the details and making sure we got what we wanted. And no pressure. We had gone to another dealer before this and they tried to pressure us into signing a contract right away. We did not want to do that and then they sent the sales manager over to try to convince us that if we didn't buy the car that day, we might not get it for several months! It was ridiculous! We walked out feeling upset. Then a few days later we went to Island Acura and it was a totally different and positive experience. And we got a better price too!Then when we picked up the car, the RDX, Rocky spent over 2 hours with us. He showed me how to use all the new technology and went over every detail so we would feel comfortable and confident when we left. You could tell he really knows his stuff and he is such a nice guy too. We love the new car and are looking forward to taking it on a road trip this weekend. He spent a substantial amount of time teaching me about all of the amazing features of my new car and not only did I leave there with a comfortable feeling that I got a good deal but he even reached out to me later on in the day to see how I was doing and to thank me. 5 stars don't do him justice This was the greatest experience I've ever had buying a car and I will definitely be referring my friends and family. I just picked up my new Acura TLX over the weekend and couldn't be happier with the car as well as Island Acura! I met with Charles Wiener on a Saturday and by the following Friday afternoon, I was driving out of the lot in my new car. The sales experience was probably the best I have had so far! He was knowledgeable, a pleasure to work with and made the "business" part of buying a new car actually very enjoyable. There hasn't been one time he wouldn't work out an agreeable deal with us. This past year has been a difficult one and GIO came thru better than we could of imagined. first impression is a Very Clean and neat showroom...Staff was not just friendly but informative, and most important, Not pushy....To sum it up, purchasing a car nowadays is not that difficult due to all the access of the internet., as far as reviews and what is a "Great" price for the car I would like to purchase..For me I do not need anyone to "sell" me the car. What I needed was a salesman who knew about the car inside and out and our Salesman John, explained every question in full detail regarding functions of all this new technology. We added a few options and sat with with the finance manager Robert O'Connor, who worked with us all the way and made the buying experience smooth.. I would highly recommend Island Acura...Its our second truck purchased from them.

John our salesman was great. Really knowledgable and willing to work with us, really nice guy. Unhappy when I picked up my CPO truck the window was cracked and needed to be replaced. Also was unhappy when I took my car home there was dirt marks, and a foot print on the seat. I love that they got the car to me so fast to take home-- but disaapponted in the lack of cleaning and chipped windshield. Feel free to contact me for more info.

I purchased my 2008 white Acura TL certified pre-owned from a different Acura dealership in 2010, but began bringing it to Island Acura for service shortly after. I've dealt 90% of the time with Joe Robinson, who is consistently nothing short of excellent. He's a great communicator, knowledgeable, and takes great care of me whenever I visit. The rest of the service staff are also great to deal, but I always am more at ease when Joe is handling my visit.

My MDX needed an oil change, recently received an email from them, dealership is nearby, first visit. Valet took my car, service desk welcomed me as if I were family. Joey is friendly and thorough, updated me of a recall and was very efficient. Customer waiting area is very clean, bright and well stocked w/coffee, water, newspapers, etc.. Joey kept me informed, asked me if I had time for him to get my car washed, no-charge! So nice! I'll be back! No reason to go anywhere else - love this place!

Since 2000 I have purchased 3 Acura and leased another for a total of 4 major transactions. I have two tales to tell, Back in 2013 I tried to buy my 4 car (5th transaction) and called my sales person. I received a ball park figure for an left over 2012 MDX. I also price the car using Edmunds. To my surprise I was receiving quotes of $1500 less than from Island. I called my salesman back and left a message to call me so we can discuss pricing. After spending over $120,000 with the dealership I didn't even receive the courtesy of a return call. Needless to say I purchased my MDX at Smithtown Acura who treated me like a lifelong client.Fast forward to this April, my 20009 TL is 20 days put of warranty. On the internet I find a service bulletin for a intermittent oil pressure warning light. My car was in to Island Acura two times for that exact problem. When I went back I said, no brainer, the car has been here for this problem twice which they failed to remedy so they will honor my request. I could not have been more wrong! I was treated like I never did business with them I was told to call Acura if I didn't like it. I did but Acura was not helpful but sent me a coupon for a free oil change. Since my next car will be a Mercedes, I guess I won be using it.

We worked with John LaRosa to buy a CPO MDX. John was attentive, courteous and was easy to communicate with. During the process of choosing a vehicle my wife and I had many questions spread throughout a week. John was quick to respond and was always clear with his answers. As for price on our MDX? We walked out feeling that we received a very fair deal with minimal effort. Under the leadership of Frank Onolfi, Island Acura is a no-nonsense dealership. Each time I came I was welcomed by name by not only John LaRosa, but Frank, Tony and the finance manager, Rob O'Connor. Speaking of financing...we walked in and negotiated our price knowing that we had a pre-approved loan from BFCU. While finishing the deal Rob asked if he could try to beat my rate. Within minutes he came back with a rate 20% less than the going used car rate at BFCU. Typically I feel the need to take a shower after meeting with the finance department at a car dealership to wash off all the slime. Not this time! The meeting with Rob was a pleasure as he conducted his business like a true gentleman. If you are anywhere remotely close to Island Acura you need to give them a try. They conduct business the right way by selling a great product at a fair price.

Island Acura was the only car dealership that I ever felt comfortable with when buying a car. The staff did a great job educating me on the vehicle and its options. When it came to price, they were very fair and were not pushy in trying to upgrade. In the end, I got the vehicle I wanted at a reasonable price without wasting much time. Island Acura is not like those large corporate dealers; their employees make sure you are comfortable with your decision and do not hit you with "hidden fees"!

Went to Island Acura to get my car fixed. The service rep Joe Thompson helped me and was unfriendly to begin with. I explained to him the problem and also told him that I have been applying a "temporary" fix, however, I brought the car here to get it fixed permanently. Sure enough they applied the same temporary fix that I did and he warned me not to use that feature otherwise I will do permanent damage to the car. That was his way of discouraging me from testing it. When I tested it in the lot and told him the car wasn't fixed, he was quick to offer me a refund and told me that I shouldn't have tested it because I will do permanent damage to the car. I explained to him that I don't intend to use that feature daily but I should at least be able to try it once to make sure it was fixed. He wasted 2 hours of my time and trying to con me out of $75 for the same fix I had told him I perform in 2 minutes. He never admitted to his lie and just told me that he hasn't charged me on my way out. He also lied to me on the phone because he had answered the phone when I scheduled the appointment and explained the problem to him.

When ever I walk into a car dealership I always think about it being over price, waiting forever, and having rude service since I did not purchase my vehicle from them. But Island Acura is the opposite from most dealers I have come to. I first walked in and this nice gentlemen name Joey Robinson approached me and asked me how my day was even before discussing about service or not even knowing me! Never felt such a welcoming feeling from a dealership employee. He got me in and out in a timely fashion and explained everything nice clear to me (im not a car person, so it helps). I would recommend this dealership to people who are looking to get there Acura and Honda serviced by a place that is trustworthy and pocket friendly.

After buying 5 cars over the past decade from this dealership I realized they have been deceiving me to the amount of several thousand dollars. The MSRP that they quote is not accurate causing you to pay much more on a lease than you should. You also have to be careful when they tell you how much you need to pay to take delivery. Just add the numbers up and you will see that you are expected to pay more than what you actually have to pay. Many of the the sales team, especially the manager Peter "Dee" DeArellano, are arrogant, and need some severe training in customer service. Peter yelled at me telling me to "get out" if I question his calculations on the lease deal. He obviously didn't want me to check his numbers. Peter also overcharged the tax on the deal, later trying to explain to me that I need to pay "tax on tax" when calculating a lease agreement. I think not. After giving them a "not so good rating" regarding the sales practices on the after sales survey, a salesman, Kevin Lawrence, called me and cursed me out, using extreme profanity, then threatened me, never to come back (I'm sure he had more to say but I just hung up.) Do not buy a car from these guys as they will definitely lie and cheat you. If you think you have made good deals, go back and rework the numbers. You may be surprised. Pretty stupid on their part as I would probably have bought another 10 cars in the future.

I purchased a pre-owned 2011 mdx this year, and to my dismay...the thorough checklist of items they go through before you buy a vehicle was complete....however, no one ever cleaned or thought to check the drains attached to the moon roof. Heavy rain for 2 hours made the entire roof leak water all over the headliner, drivers side seat, and all over my passengers heads. The moisture created mold and mildew. I complained to Acura that after purchasing this car and having it for ONLY a MONTH...that this was unacceptable. They told me to bring my car in to have the headliner replaced free of charge. 4 days later my car was done. The headliner doesn't even look like it was replaced. There are stains on it...how can this be possible if they said it will be "replaced"? They also said they couldn't wash my car because it was done too late, yet they promise a free car wash after every service.... the car was there for 4 days. I'd rather go to another dealership and deal with another service department. I feel like I'm lied to about everything. It's unfortunate to buy the car I've always wanted and to have so many issues early on. Save yourself time, money, and several headaches.... Don't go to this dealership or service department.

This is the 10th and 11th Acura I have leased from Island Acura using Cosmo as my salesperson. The price for my 2014 TL was the same as my 2011 TL and the price for my 2014 MDX was $29 less than what I was paying for my 2011 MDX. Cosmo is alway pleasant and upfront with me regarding prices and which model is best for me. Rob in Finance is also a pleasure to work with, doesn't try to add additional options as I lease both vehicles. There was a mark on the windshield of the 2014 TL and Island Acura replaced the windshield without any question. For these reasons I will continue to purchase my future Acura from Island Acura.

Do not buy from this location! I should have shopped around as the pricing they gave me was horrible. Also I didn't realize there were random charges on my invoice as stated by other customers. Do your homework so you don't get ripped off like I did. Avoid this location at all costs!!

This time I used Cosmo and was very happy. Robert in finance did not pressure me into buying any extras since I leased the vehicle I don't think extras are needed and he respected my opinion.Then 2 weeks ago I stopped by Service to make an appointment to have my first 5k mile service done. I never dealt with the service department before. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by Alex. He told me if I wanted it done on the spot they could do it. It was about 1:30pm and I had nothing going on so I agreed. I left the car with them and walked across to have lunch at ACF Pizza. As I was finishing lunch, Alex walked in and said my car was ready. What a great feeling to be dealt with honestly and they treated me as I was the most important customer they ever had. Awesome experience. I love Acura and see a future with my new service guy Alex.

My experience at Island Acura was nothing but delightful. Everyone from the salesman to the manager did everything to make the deal happen. I feel that I got a great price for the car I leased and they even through in a few accessories at no additional cost. I had a great experience and will have no problem in the future referring anyone to Island Acura.

Never a problem with their service. Courteous and friendly and have always done the right thing by me. Love the car, although I purchased it at a different dealer but Island Acura services it no problem. The car is kept running great with minimal hassle and/or headache on my part.

Great experience. Turned in a previous Acura that was over mileage, plenty of dents and still had a ways to go on my lease. Jessica and Bob G helped me get out of that lease and into a 13 MDX at a great price. No hassle and friendly staff made it great. Regretting ever going to Paragon in the first place and getting stuck in my original terrible lease.

the best dealer shop i have ever been!! i worked w/ Kevin Lawrence. i went there to get used BMW He was really nice and made us feel really nice. he really had a manner also the boss was very nice too the shop was really friendly and the atmosphere here was really nice if you are planning to by an Acura i totally recommend her!! you'll be happy working with them

Every experience at Island Acura has been very positive. The salesman (Joe) was excellent and very easy to deal with. I have brought the car for scheduled service on two occasions. Both times the work was done quickly and efficiently as I waited for the vehicle. I recommend Island Acura without reservation.

Like a previous customer stated prices get added without proper explanation. Also the financial department did not have proper knowledge on loans. After doing research and checking out the information given at this dealership it was almost a scam. Buyers beware!!

My wife and I purchased a new 2013 Acura RDX from Island Acura. This was not our first new car purchase from Island Acura. Our salesman, Joe Mulcahy couldn't have been more helpful. He made our new car purchase experience actually pleasant. My wife had questions about the bluetooth and Joe spent the time to explain how to use her phone handsfree. Only have the car 2 weeks and have not been in for service yet but have had good experiences in the past.We have and would recomended Island Acura to others.

I worked with Tim Timko at Island Acura. He was profesional and thorough. He had everything pre-arranged before I arrived as I was traveling from Maryland to purchase in New York. The dealer took care of transferring the title from NY to MD with no problems. Highly recommend working with Tim and this dealership.

I was in and out quickly for an oil change, inspection and filter change. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and offered me coupons on check out for services above. The employee that was helping me was respectful and attentive to my questions. Would recommend and i plan on coming back. Price is a little more then your neighborhood garage but worth it.

Buyers beware. Make sure you bring a calculator and double check your final invoice because extra charges magically appeared on mine. Totally shady. If you are 35 or younger don't waste your time going to Island Acura as they treated me horribly. They are a bunch of dinosaurs. Worst dealership out off all the Acura's I visited. They are totally miserable and complete scammers!!

Bob was very accomodating, efficient and friendly. He described the probable time line for our order, kept us apprised of the schedule, advised on extension of existing lease and met our schedule. We received a patient ad thorough explanation of our car's accessories as well.

I recently leased an Acura TSX. I spent a good part of my summer looking for a car along with the pros and cons. I was about to finally lease a MB 300 but decided to go to lexus,bmw,audi again to make sure I was making a good choice. While I was shopping I stopped at Island Acura and liked the tsx and Bob spent plenty of time explaining the lease process ,things to look out for ex.buy backs, I continued to shop and dealt with salesmen that didn't know there product I ultimately decided on the 2012 TSX. The Acura dealership was a no haggle pleasant time. I actually paid less for the 2012 than a leftover 2011. This dealership is worth the stop if you plan an Acura or any highend car at that.

i have a 2006 tl with 80.000 miles the check engine light went on i brought in they said it was a transmission problem they replaced the transmission with a rebuilt transmission from acura no charge i had the extended warranty they repaired car in a timeley manner the new transmission is warrantied for 3 years

The entire process was smooth and unpressured. We had previously purchased an MDX from Island Acura in 2003 and had a very favorable experience, not only from the sales side, but from the service side as well. We hoped to repeat the favorable experience, and it appears that we have. The new MDX floats over the road and around turns and seems to be much quieter on the road than the earlier model. We purchased the tech option and added the higher end side steps, roof racks, remote start and side strips - the car looks great. Very happy!

I brought my '04 TL over to Island Acura to make an appointment to have some work done. There were two reps working the desk and I spoke to the skinny gentleman with the glasses and accent. He seemed a bit standoffish as I explained that my car's Bluetooth module wasn't working properly. He immediately started questioning whether it was my phone that was at fault. I explained that it had worked fine when new, but that it had recently started deleting my phone book, not connecting calls, not passing through my voice, etc. I also explained that I have no problems connecting my phone to Bluetooth on my home computers. He sort of continued to argue against my points and then proclaimed that he would have to connect a different phone to my car to see if it recognized it. At this point I explained that my phone would connect too, but nothing else. I went on to say that having the phone work repeatedly every time I get in the car is a very different situation then merely linking it successfully. He called in a service technician and I explained the situation, the tech (who was friendly) said that he would check the module itself -quite a different story from what the service rep said- and see if it was errant. With that cleared up, I thanked him as he went back to work and made an appointment to have this work done. When I inquired about loaner cars, the nasty rep told me there would be none for customers who didn't buy the vehicle at that dealership and that since I bought the car while living in Las Vegas, I was out of luck. When I mentioned it was in my Acura Care agreement that I get a vehicle, he said that perhaps down the road I could get one "once a relationship was established." Sorry, but that ship just sailed. Bayshore Acura is giving me a rental when I start my relationship with them Monday morning!

I love my new Acura RDX, its absolutely perfect, it has all the features that I wanted and more...I think my son is more fascinated about it than me. Scheduled a test drive week in advance. Confirmed appointment day before. Upon arrival was not greeted and had to look for salesman. The "new" car I was interested in turned out to be a demo vehicle with 5000 miles on it. According to salesman car was used by wife of the dealership owner. I don't know what kind of person she is, but interior looked worse than prom limo after night of partying. Exterior of the car had visible scratches and markings. Overall car was dirty inside and out, dealership did not even try to prep it.Car was parked behind several other cars and had no gas in. It was impossible to even confirm the mileage, as "LOW GAS" warnings were all over the dash. Needles to say, test drive has not happened. Salesman proceed to low-ball the trade in and offered a laughingly high price for the "new" vehicle. Attempt at negotiations ended with salesman throwing his card on table with phrase "you want that price for you trade in, go sell it yourself". Save your time and look for other dealer in the area.

Took me a while and visited many dealers and brands. Never pressured, always accommodating. On one visit when my sales rep was gone for the day, another rep spent 30 minutes explaining voice command and navigation! Drove several models before deciding on the TL-AWD Tech. Our first Acura but, not our last.

My experience was above board.No pressure, no hassle only helpful, friendly interaction with the Sales Rep.Would like to purchase another Acura but right now is not a good time for me. went there with the intention of buying a 2008 tl type-s. spoke with jody nackenson, went for a test drive with the demo car. came back went to go check out the cars. they had 3 type-s's left, 1 blue, 2 black. once i saw the blue one i was in love. went back inside, worked out some numbers. jody was very helpful, he did not deceive me in any way at all. he explained what all the additional costs were, and he did not lie about any of them. since this was my first new car, i did heavy research on car sales and techniques. jody was very respectful, especially me being 20 years old, he did not look at me like some punk. he looked at me like a future sale, which i was. i went back the next day and signed all the papers for the car and i love it ever since. i would highly recommend jody nackenson as your sales person, very intelligent, and honest.
