Amr is my service writer and he is ALWAYS courteous, helpful and friendly. He always remembers who I am, and I always ask for him when I bring in my car because I knew he's going to give me top quality honest service. I recently did a dumb thing to my car and he never made me feel stupid. The service was done quickly, efficiently, and now my car is back in tiptop shape. Although my car is 10 years old, this shop keeps it running so well I think I'll be able to keep it for another 10 years without any problems.Thank you!

Although a smaller dealership in size the sales team is plays in the big leagues. They do everything they can to get a deal done that the customer is happy with. I bought a commercial van and the business link salesman spend the better part of a full day helping me get the deal put together. It was a lot of work for him, yet he was pleasant and patient the entire time. I would not hesitate to recommend dealership to family or friends. I hope that service department is just as nice to work with; time will tell.

Purchase a new ram 1500. Has been in for warranty work 3times the first 7 months. The service department never answers the phone always goes to voice mail. Hard to understand how someone can be busy every time I call. 7 times in one day. I cannot except calls when I am working so it is important that they pick up the phone.

I started looking for a truck mid summer and had narrowed it down to the RAM with a few specific requirements that needed to be met prior to any purchase. It had to have the 5.7 HEMI, 4 doors, and be certified. I noticed one on line and made an inquiry after work and I had a call from Oprah Blythe within an hour asking about my choice and when would a good time be for me to come by for a test ride. When I arrived for the test ride, that particular truck was in the process of being purchased, Oprah was right there to assist me with another truck that also met my requirements and had the Laramie package to boot. I got more than I asked for and they delivered it. Great team and when I need another truck, coming back. Thanks Oprah and Bennie.

I went in for an Express Oil/Filter Change. I bought the 4-pack oil change service for $110 which isinclusive of the tax, disposal fees etc. These 4 oil changes cost $27.50 total out the door. And speaking of out the door, I was out the door in 45 minutes. They also conducted fluid level checks, brake pad wear, tire tread and other vehicle checks. Outstanding service and an outstanding value! The Express Service is definitely worth the wait. Kudos to Jack Powell Jeep Chrysler Dodge.

My original meeting with Cameron was very respectful and informative and after investigating other dealerships as to price and equipment on a new Challenger Scat Pack went back to Jack Powel only to find out their car had been sold! My bad for sure! I decided to order another like it and Cameron put the package together well. This is where my patience was tested, where for weeks I had very little communication if any with many forms of messaging being unreturned as to where,how soon, etc.! This is where Oprah Blythe stepped in and took the ball and kept me informed every week for a total time of 9 weeks to delivery!! I recommend this dealership only the merits of this very competent and personable lady! To be fair I,m sure I got a fair price but Oprah is the reason I,d go back!!

I love my Jeep Cherokee sport. I purchased the Basic model in early 2014 with the lifetime warranty. At first this car seemed a bit gutless but adjusting my driving habits bad things better. But, wait. 8 months and approximately 15000 miles on the car and this thing is burning rubber on asphalt, quickly reaching speeds up to 95 mph on the freeway. Washboard roads? whats that. I glide over them at 40-50 mph. Uneven payment and windy roads? Lets just say that high dollar sports car drivers cant believe it when I keep up.Sales 10Service 10Product 10x10

Our experience with Jack Powell Chrysler was prompted when our 300 was in need of service due to a MIL light that was blinking on my dashboard. I called the Chrysler dealer in Poway but was met with, "We can see you next week, we're so busy right now...etc."This response was unacceptable. I then called the people who should have been called in the first place, Jack Powell Chrysler in Escondido. There we met Darren. Like a breath of fresh air, he gave us all the info we needed to know within 2 minutes of speaking with him. People like Darren is why we would recommend this location for all your automotive service needs.

Was really cool to have the ability to work directly with the owner and negotiate my deal. Once that was done the credit app and paper signing/delivery was a breeze. I was out the door in less than 60 minutes start to finish once we decided on price. Steven was a nice sales guy who ended up doing the heavy lifting at the end.

I am a costco member and signed up on costco's website for the pre arranged costco internet pricing agreement. I have heard great success when using the program from friends. Not so much with this dealership! Completely disorganized and a total lack of customer service. I was passed around to three different sales people in the course of a week or so and had to start over with my search every time. I seemed as if they didn't care if I bought a truck with them since the costco internet pricing was so amazing... maybe too amazing? I was told they didn't make any money on the sale a few times and at one point I was told that maybe I should go look at GMC across the street!!!!!!!!! I made a few attempts to try and work with the dealership (against my better judgement) including speaking directly to the owner and the Gen. Manager. I was given the obligatory sorry speach but was then referred back to the same sales team I orignally was dissatisfied with. Long story short...... I have found out that my experience is not the only one. I have two friends that tried to work with this dealership in the past year with similar experiences. Had I known of their issues prior to starting this process I would have started elsewhere. Im walking away very unhappy with the experience! I NEVER take the time to write reviews - I usually just mark it down as a lesson learned on my part but I hope I can save just ONE persons time with this review. There are other similar dealerships within 20-30 min drives. So far the help I am getting from a direct competitor is by far better. FYI - This review has nothing to do with costco. Jack Powell Escondido only. I contacted Costco Auto to inform them of the issues I had.

I have never been so pissed off in a long while. I went in for a recall on my vehicle, which was a scheduled appointment. It was done through the customer service line and was told that I would have a rental/loaner vehicle in place so that I could get back to work that morning no problem. Once I arrived at the dealership, people were being seen before me who had gotten there after I had, then when they finally got to me and I asked the guy at the desk for my loaner vehicle, he proceeded to tell me that I would have to wait until 1000(I was there at 0715) when Enterprise opened to get a car because he doesn't see any arrangements for a vehicle. I drove 40 mins to get there and 40 mins back home with no sort of reimbursement for gas or my time wasted because of their delinquency. I would NEVER waste my time or recommend anyone go there to waste their's on such disorganized service. They did offer to complete my service in an hour, but knowing that they couldn't be trusted from what friends have told me and from my experience that day I decided it was better off to take my butt to work. Needless to say, my husband and I have put this car up for sale since we don't want anything to do with this brand anymore.

I am going to give 3 solid reason why you should NEVER GO TO JACK POWELL. 1. I had a differential leak. Took it in, charged me $800 to fix seals on both sides and main seal (I said WOW, I cant believe it, it actually started leaking on both sides of the differential and the main seal all at the same time). Drove it home. Kept leaking. Went back, they charged me another hour just to tell me there was 1 loose bolt... that was the whole problem from the beginning! 2. Needed simple alignment. My wife took the car in, they gave her a bill for $3500 thinking they could take advantage of her to replace all of the front suspension (Control arms, shocks, everything). I told her take it to an alignment shop and ask them to look everything over then align. They said everything was fine, we paid $65 for the alignment.3. There is a fuel tank recall (instead they are calling it "Lifetime Warranty") for a problem that makes the car shut off, generally in the middle of the road. My wife is too afraid to drive the car, since this is a technical thing I had no choice but to go back to Jack Powell, the dealer that sucks. They told me the fuel tank they would replace no cost (Wow, I was happy. In the past they just denied the problem all together). What do you know, now they are billing me for removal of the exhaust, $250, because the exhaust was modified. Keep in mind, removing the exhaust is the only way to remove the gas tank period, with or without modification.Go anywhere else. Do not go here. Major rip off. These guys really make me mad!

I went to Jack Powell to order a car through the Consumer Reports (CR) buying program. At first it went well, friendly and responsive. They did not have the configuration I wanted on the lot and it wasn't available locally. I asked about ordering one under the CR program. The friendly first guy said he'd have to check and went to get a second high pressure guy, who said no. He started throwing numbers about the car price and why they couldn't do it. I had done my homework and knew he was giving misinformation. He was correct that their contract with the CR buying program only applied to cars in stock, but didn't want to hear anything I had to say and I walked out the door a dissatisfied customer. I went to another dealer (a little further away) and ordered the car at the contract price. The other dealer was happy to work with me.

Brought my 2004 Dodge Ram with 80K on the odometer in for extensive service as I tow my race car a lot with this truck. My wife followed me in but one of my important needs was to be picked up by their shuttle when work was completed. Last time I brought my vehicle in I was living in Poway but I now live in Jeffries Ranch 18 miles from Jack Powell. The two people that checked me in both said it would not be a problem.I got my estimate, signed for it and left with my wife. I got a call later in the day that they had found a few more things. One of the additional items was that the power steering pump was leaking. They wanted $1300 to replace it! I declined (obviously) and got the standard water pump online for $55 (free shipping) and Mack at Oceanside Automotive near my house will install it for $150. This is why I am always skeptical about certain dealers.When the truck was ready (the bill was just shy of $1100) Amr called me and I asked for the shuttle to come pick me up. Suddenly it's a big problem. Amr told me in no uncertain terms that no way they would do that, I was beyond their range. I reminded him of what I was told on check in and after much arguing and rudeness he finally allowed they would try to pick me up the next day this one time. When the driver arrived he said it was no problem for me to be picked up, even if it had been the day before.I picked up my truck, paid the bill and couldn't help but notice they had not even bothered to wash it. It even had additional grease marks around the hood where they had been working.I promise I will avoid Jack Powell in future and should any dealership needs arise, will try Bob Baker in Vista as they are much closer (haven't tried them but they've got to be better).Alan Berry

If you want an extremely pushy salesman and an insanely rude manager talking down to you, Jack Powell Dodge is your place. We went in to get the trade in value of our car and saw a car that was interesting enough to take a look at. I must have told the salesman 15 times that I wanted to get the trade in value of my car before he actually did. Instead of simply getting the info that I wanted in order to see what I could afford, he kept trying to run my credit. The salesman wasn't rude, he was just very annoying and pushy, more than I've seen when buying any other car that myself or my family or friends have had. THE MANAGER WAS THE COMPLETE WORST PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF MEETING!!! He was rude and even more pushy than the salesman. First off, he was trying to give me a terrible trade in value which was significantly less than what Kelly Blue Book says. Once I told him that the car that I was looking at wasn't the right fit, he got even worse. He started saying that his "guys weren't getting paid while working with us" and that is when we had enough. We ended up just walking away while the manager was yelling things like "you don't know how to buy a car" and "thanks for wasting our time." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How did this joke of a manager get to the position that he is in?! I have never had such horrible customer service at any place in my entire life, let alone a place that I would consider dropping thousands of dollars at! I can go to Best Buy and work with 17 year olds that have better customer service and sales skills than these amateur salesmen did. Unless you specifically enjoy a rude, obnoxious, and pushy sales team that treats their customers with disrespect, you should never go to Jack Powell Dodge. This was the worst car experience myself or my family has ever had and would gladly drive over 100 miles to go to another dealership that can actually act like respectable adults. In regards to the manager's comment of "thanks for wasting our time," I am now happy to have wasted your time considering you definitely wasted mine.

Simply the best!!!!!After going to another local vehicle dealer several times and not getting my vehicle repaired. I called Chrysler Corporation. They recommended I take my truck to Jack Powell in Escondido. This simply was the best customer service I have ever received from any repair facility. They fixed the problem on the first day and everyone I came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. In the future I will drive the extra distance and have my vehicle serviced here.

I avoid them at any cost! Gave them 3 chances and they failed every time! Door ding, promised to get touch up paint and didn't, shady workmanship, couldn't even adjust a replaced head light correctly, was told to check a battery takes 1/2 day! ha!, couldn't diagnose a drifting temp gage (I changed the thermostat myself-problem solved!), no call backs, emails ignored, and on and on. They are the lowest out there! unprofessionalism is their niche!

Recently purchased a brand new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited through Rich Greene and the Powell's. Rich's no pressure sales approach and professional demeanor made the entire experience smooth and pleasant. I was not liking any of the JGC's on the lot (really wanted the True blue color with tan/black interior) so Rich helped me order/build one from scratch on his computer. A few days after my order went through I realized I forgot to add the Quadra-Lift package/feature. Enter Jasmine - she was able to call the Jeep factory plant in Detroit and change my order, something unheard of that late in the order process! Her awesome manuvering got my JGC fitted with the Quadralift just how I wanted.When my car arrived on the lot Rich picked me up from the Oceanside train station (I live in Los Angeles) and brought me to the dealership where I signed the paperwork and drove back to LA. This personal touch was the icing on the cake. I will always buy any Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge from the Powell's. -Dick C.

I was so impressed with this dealership I will always return to buy my new Chryslers in the future and will enthusiastically refer them to family and friends. I am a confirmed Chrysler consumer and had over l80K on my 2001 300 M. One day we went in to Jack Powell just to look and we cut the deal within the hour. Esteban is absolutely awesome in Sales. Very professinal, ethical and a great guy. I have been in for my first service and a few other small things so I have visiited the service dept 3 times overall and my experience was very pleasent. Everyone is curteous, professional, explain in great detail and for once, they follow through and your car is done when they tell you it is done. 5 years ago, I needed a new gas efficient car to lease because I commuted 80 miles/day. They gave me a great deal at the exact monthly payment I wanted and with the gas efficiency I was looking for. The car was fully loaded too! A few months before my lease expired, I returned about to find another car because I received a great deal on the first one. I was patient, coming in several times to look at the new and used cars they had in stock. The staff was patient with me. Eventually, someone brought in a slightly used car, I was called in to look at it. Not only was it a perfect fit for me, it was certified pre-owned! I bought this one and have never had problems with it. Thanks Jack Powell Chyrsler Dodge!!

Jack Powell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is the best dealer I've ever been to. I never even thought of writing a review before having my car serviced at their store. I got into a wreck on 395 coming home from Mammoth when the ski rack on the car in front of me flew off and nearly impaled my windshield. I had a HUGE dent in the side of the car, and needed a lot of body work. After turning my car in, one of the dealership owners, Jasmine Powell, came and introduced herself to me, and told me that she had a similar experience happen, and almost died. She took me to lunch and gave me a really great deal on the work. I will definitely bring my car back to this dealership every time I need something. I'm not one for brand loyalty...but I will definitely return to Jack Powell. Definitely.

Took the jeep in for -ck eng lite- corrected a sensor issue. Started her up the next morning and the engine kept dying, engine would cut out while driving. Ck Eng Lite is on again! In addition the service tech wasnt clear on the original issue until pressed for an explanation. Will update the review after i take her back in this morning- better not get charged for another diagnostic testing!

It seems odvious that this shop is hungry. Upon taking my car in, I had several techinictions and writers come up to me. I felt like I was a peice of meat and they were all trying to get a bite. I actually heard the techs and writters fighting over my car, and they were cussing about how upper managment over hired techs and that this person or that person needed work more then the other. The work that was done was excellent, and the price was fair. I have no complaints on the work that was done. The communication between myself and Mike Patterson was fantastic. I would reccomend this shop, provided that they stop the feeding frenzy that seems to happen everytime someone rolls into the shop!!

After purchasing a new vehicle they cheated me on the purschase of additional accessories. Said I was getting a great discount when the truth is they increased the price by 137% over the list and MSRP. After cancelling my order they refused to refund my money.They also overcharged the amount of sales tax on the purchase of the vehicle which is against the law, and also refused to refund the difference.Buyer beware!
