Updated review 1 Month in and over $2,000 in repairs for a van that was supposed to go cross country with "No Issues". Didnt even go 100 miles before the issues started. I specifically asked if anything needed to be done on this van and was told it was good to go and needed nothing. He said he looked over the van hinself being a mechanic and everything looked great. Front axle was shot, the rear shocks were also leaking and in awful shape, the belt and tensioner also needed to be replaced and then the check engine came on and had to replace spark plugs and 1 coil and to finsh the a/c had a leak and had to repair that. So almost $2,500 in repairs that we could not afford before moving cross country but had to do it because we were moving. So on the credit card it went. We truly regret buying this van and wish he stood behind a vehicle that he said would easily make it cross country with no problems. If he is a mechanic and really looked over this van he would have clearly seen all these problems. The least he could of done was apologize that this happened, offer to do or pay for the repairs and at the very least pay for the parts or something. Another update our transmission is starting to have problems now with delayed shifting..... Maybe he didnt know about "all" of the problems but for all this to happen less than a month and less than 100 miles later is hard to believe. And I did send him text messages as things went bad and he just said to go ahead and do the repairs but no offer of parts or help was communicated. Hopefully the transmission will be an easy fix and not the whole thing. I will update if he offers any help with all of this but until then, he has truly screwed over our family!
