Let me say that our journey took my wife and I to several dealers for different makes and models. The Traverse was on our final list of 2.... And we went to Haggerty purely because of luck that they had the inventory we wanted. Jeff and Joe knew this may not be the car we ended up with.... But they never bashed competition.... They made to test drive and discussion enjoyable... They even gave us the warm introduction to the other Haggerty dealer with the other car. We were bummed by the " high pressure" or "lack of interest" from other dealerships. Jeff and Joe made looking for a new car fun again. Thanks guys!!!

Recently went to try and work a trade in on our 2010 Traverse for a Captiva or Trax only to have the worst sales guy. Mr. Kahn didnot understand we had not come in for a Cruze, we had no interest in the Cruze, would not look at a Cruze. The price for the Captiva and the Cruze was about the same but for the Captiva we needed money down? When asked he did not have an answer to explain that made sense. Also, the salesman didn't understand our desire for a middle tier model and kept trying to work deals for things we didn't want or need. We went down the street to another deale4 who even if they can't make a deal right now will have our service business from now on.

I can honestly say this was the best car buying experience I have ever had, thanks to Mike Haggerty at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet! From the minute we walked in the door, I was impressed. My husband was with me, and Mike shook our hands and asked how he could help us. My husband motioned toward me, and said "this is your customer." From that moment on, Mike focused on me, and continued to do so throughout the entire process. He was, of course, very cordial to my husband. However, all matters and/or questions related to the purchase were handed one-on-one with me. This was the first time, after specifically stating that I was one making the purchase, that we dealt with a salesman who actually GOT IT! For this alone, I'd give Mike ten stars! As for the negotiating process, that also went smoothly. Another first for me - the first time I did not walk out of a dealership. There was no reason to do it! We negotiated on price and some other points, and were able to compromise without the usual histrionics. Mike also responded promptly to all e-mails and calls, when I had a question. I will surely recommend Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet to anyone I know who is in the market for a new vehicle! Thanks again, Mike, for an A+ experience!

My daughter wanted a Jeep Patriot and I found one online at Haggerty Chevrolet website. Every option she was looking for, the right color, etc. I set up an appointment with Mike Haggerty to see the car in person. My time was limited as I was trying to get the deal done on my lunchtime. Having purchased 2 previous vehicles from Anthony Volturo at this dealership and both vehicles exceeding my expectations I decided to give him a call. I was looking to downsize from my F150 to a mid size sedan. I related to Anthony what I was in the market for and, as he has done in the past, told me to wait a few weeks and he'd find me a great deal. Within 4 days he called me and had located a 2014 Chrysler 200 S LTD with only 14,000 mile fully loaded one owner vehicle. Carfax was perfect and so was the car! Family cars or as I like to say "mom cars" is were we spend a lot of time, and I want my car to have everything in it a family would need, distractions for the kids, safety, speakers that can adjust so I can tone my children out sometimes, I need enough room for all my mom stuff like groceries, hockey equipment, car pooling cheerleaders, and so on. Went out on a Saturday to "look" at suv's. Looked at Honda Hyundai and Mazda then stopped at Jerry Hagerty for an Equinox. Goose Kahn met us outside (temp in the mid 30s) and showed us a 2016 awd including a test drive. Told him sunroof and remote start were musts, awd nice but not a deal breaker. Mentioned a low mileage Captiva with everything but awd. We took it for a test drive and were impressed. I wrote down a # and showed the wife while Goose went to work up a price. It was exactly $1,000 higher. We split the difference and bought the car. What a salesman!

It was one of the most positive car-buying experiences I have had (this is my fifth used car in my life), Usman was always extremely helpful, friendly and courteous throughout the entire process, willing to negotiate on the final price of the vehicle until I felt I had acquired the car I wanted at a very fair market price (checked against the Kelly Blue Book). Since my purchase, I have already put 100 miles on the car, and it has driven just like a new vehicle. I would strongly recommend Haggerty Chevrolet if you are looking for a quality used car. My wife and I were in the market for an updated pickup for our business. We located one that was perfect for us at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet. I made a call to them and the sales people seemed wonderful. They were very eager to help and answer all questions. I am located 11 hours away and wanted this shipped. They assured me there was nothing wrong with this vehicle, no dents, tires were great and was ready for service. They texted me some very nice pictures. We agreed upon a price and signed the paperwork. When the vehicle arrived, it had several dents, one of the floor mats were missing, the check engine light was on and the tires were shot. The person who is responsible for the pictures is very good at masking any damage/concerns they don't want you to see. I got in touch immediately with "Goose", the sales person, and he assured me that it would be taken care of. They assured me the warranty would cover the code then offered me a cash offer to make up for the other problems. The repair wasn't covered under the warranty and the cash offer was well under what I would need for the repairs, but I figured it was better then nothing so I accepted it. It never showed up, lost in the mail apparently, even though everything else they mailed me had no trouble making it to me. Goose was great to work with, but unfortunately, everything he promised never happened. I have about $600 in to the fix for the code on the fuel system, I'm out about $250 for the floor mats and a $1000 for a new set of tires. It took them 2 months to send me the extra set of keys that belong with the pickup. Again, the sales people are very nice to work with, but apparently either they aren't what they seem or the people above them won't allow them to fulfill the promises they make. I am a small family owned business and to spend the amount of money that we did, was a hard decision to make. But, to find out that I would need to spend another $1800 before I could even use it was frustrating and disheartening. I am a person who still operates on a man's word, until given reason to lose that trust. I hate that it has come to this to make a sale, dishonesty and deceit.

This is our third purchase from this dealership and we refuse to go to any other now. Their staff from their service department, salesmen and to their managers, are amazing. We've dealt with Usman "Goose" with all three of our vechiles. Each time he has worked above and beyond with us to find exactly what we needed in a vechile. My husband and I were in the market for a 2013 Ram truck. Usman showed us the 3 on the lot and allowed us to drive the two we were interested in. He spent a great deal of time showing us all the features on each truck and gave us ample space to figure out which one we might be interested in. It was truly a stress free decision and in the end we are quite happy with our selection and would highly recommend Usman Kahn as the person to see if you are considering a change in your cars. This review was posted elsewhere about 4 months ago I wanted to share my experience Since then I have referred two of my closest friends to Tony and they both walked out with newer cars and Smiles on their faces! "I visited Jerry Haggerty once before when my cousin was trying to purchase a vehicle. Upon entry I was asked if I was interested in trading my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant in and immediately (because I had just bought the car a month and a half ago) I said no thanks. The salesman Tony Volturo was amazing! He did his best to assist my cousin in anyway he could and although he did not purchase a vehicle from that Chevy Tony gave me his card and told me whenever I'm ready to just give him a call. Fast forward to a month later, my Galant was really holding me back. I am a 23 year old working downtown so I relied on public transportation for most of my traveling so I never purchased a new vehicle only settling with cash cars and whatnot. Tony was nice when I went back to him! As soon as I got there he got moving I was literally there for only 10 minutes before he pulled out a beautiful 2013 Hyundai Elantra that I fell in love with! I gave it a drive and had my family give it a once over before I decided that this was the car for me! Tony traded my vehicle for a great price, and in a matter of moments I became the owner of a fairly new 2013 with no consigner and a trade as my down payment! Bought my gmc pickup here certified pre-owned because it was the color combination and options I was looking for. The sales staff was friendly and price was fair. We added an extended warranty. I was led to believe that the warranty was 3 yrs 36k miles from the end of the factory cpo warranty period. It was not and went into effect from the date / milage at time of purchase so I received significantly less coverage than I expected. Not only that, the fidelity plan they peddle is garbage and nearly impossible to make a claim against. It was sold as the same bumper to bumper coverage as the cpo warranty but it is not. The car buying experience was fine but I feel their inferior extended warranty plan was misrepresentated by the finance man at the time of purchase. Buyer Beware.

I went in expecting to buy a used car, I didn't want to consider a new car I was always thinking it was out of my price range. I went to Haggerty Chevy around noon, man it was hot out! Figured id have some salesperson bring me inside in the ac, and look at hundred of pics online (That I could do at home) I saw TONY. In the lot drenched with sweat. I took my old, high mileage vehicle to their service department because it had a problem which was difficult to diagnose and difficult to fix. Buying a new car is always an arduous process! This dealership had the car cleaned and ready for show when we called to express interest earlier in the day. No badgering whatsoever. Gave us our space to make decisions and even entertained our 6 year old!! Very helpful with setting up controls in the new car upon leaving the lot...even at 10 in the evening! I recently purchased a CPO 2014 Chevy Sonic RS from Haggerty Chevrolet and it was the absolute best car buying experience possible. They have a huge inventory of vehicles to choose from that are all very reasonably priced. Kelley Blue Book actually valued my Sonic at thousands above their asking price. Other dealers had higher prices on lesser models with substantially more miles. Kevin Healy is a true professional and did an amazing job in assisting me with my purchase. He was extremely friendly, honest and knowledgeable. Kevin addressed any concerns I had about the car and answered all of my questions quickly. He even gave me an extensive test drive without once trying to push for the sale.The financing department at Haggerty also does very good work. They were able to get me a short-term loan with low payments and interest rates. I was joking with Scott a bit and he had a great sense of humor about it. He offered the usual extended warranty packages with no pressure to buy anything. I would highly recommend Haggerty Chevrolet to family, friends or anyone in the market for a great deal. I had reached the decision point on my 2009 Impala on whether to perform the usual 70,000 mile upgrades like tires, etc., but Mike gave me such a good deal that I traded the '09 in on the new 2015. Wow, what a car! Chevy got this car right! I've driven other vehicles that handled, and performed like my 2LTZ, but they cost much more than the Impala.

I went in and was greeted by tony, he was very nice and friendly, he wasn't the "Pushy, I'm gonna make you buy this car" kinda salesmen that lingers by your car window before you even get out of your car when you pull into the lot. One minute later Dealership had searched vehicle selection and I was out the door test driving the vehicle I ended up purchasing. Take a long test drive. make sure it is what you want. I came back and Joe was willing to take the time to answer questions and make the deal. No games, no stories. Joe had the GM parts in stock and willing to install without issue or hassle.Really great people and decent shop to work with.

I was looking for a used Nitro and didn't realize that it was 2 wheel drive. When I got there and went to drive it, I asked my sales person Mike Haggerty where the 4 wheel drive switch was. He said "it's not 4 wheel drive". I told him that I had to have 4 wheel drive. He mentioned a used Hummer H2 and at the time, another customer was in the middle of buying it. Needless to say, that deal didn't go through and I got the H2! Mike even picked me up at my house in Brookfield! Thanks again Mike.

Had an issue with the vehicle I purchased and brought this to their(Chris Sr. and Chris Jr) attention during the test drive. I was assured that there was an oil smell from spillage that occurred during oil change and it would eventually go away. After driving the car for 500 miles and calling 3 or 4 times, I was sent to a gas station to have the car visualy looked at. Yes, a GAS STATION. After the VISUAL inspection, for a burning oil smell, I contacted Chris Lewin SR........once again, and was pretty much told that he did everything he could for me, and since I didn't buy the extended warranty, the issues are mine to deal with. I was also told by Chris Jr that he would get back to me the day after the purchase to get me information about the navigation system. Never heard back from him, in fact he never even followed up about the purchase. I called him once about the oil burning and he referred me to Daddy. On the brighter side, I was contacted by Jerry Haggerty, VIA email, and informed him of the issue with the vehicle. He told me to bring the vehicle in to his dealership, not a gas station. As it turns out, the car had a bad valve cover gasket. So Thank You to Jerry Haggerty(himself) for the great customer service and following up with me and to Karl in the service deaprtment, for taking the time to look into the issue. That is what customer service is all about. Maybe Team Chris should take some lessons from them. I am a return customer and would return again only because of the end result.

When the time came to replace my wife's 10 year old Malibu, we contacted Mike Haggerty at the dealership. Not knowing whether she wanted a new Malibu or an Equinix, Mike paitently showed he the two vehicles, explained the differences and took us on test drives in both vehicles. There was no pressure to make a decision. When she finally made her decision, Mike quickly located a 2015 Mailbu with the exact equipment and color scheme she wanted. This purchase makes it the third vehicle my family has purchased at Jerry Haggerty. Every time, was a hassle-free transaction. And the great customer services is extended into the service department. When I take any of the cars in, the vehicle is ready when estimated and the repair is done correctly. In addition, all repairs earn service "points" that can be applied towards the next visit to the service department.

First off I would like to say thank you to Tony Volturo, Scott Gagner and everyone at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet. Over the weekend I stopped to check out a vehicle that I had found online and all I can say is WOW. I was impressed with the whole experience. I was coming in with financing already so I was just looking for my new car. I was greeted by Tony as I pulled into the lot and was driving the vehicle within minutes of arriving. During our ride Tony informed me on things that I didn't know about the vehicle and the quality care that the dealership puts into their cars on the lot, which was the beginning of my top rate experience. I recently found a vehicle online that I had been looking for for a long time. The problem was I had recent shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff & there was no way for me to drive 625 miles return. I called the dealership & the sales rep that I was transferred to was Kevin Healy. I explained the situation I was in. Working together over a 5 day time frame he sent me everything I had asked for pictures, inspection report, car fax, a thousand questions.' Once we negotiated a price that was fair to both of us Kevin said I will take care of everything from here, to getting me a loan & getting the transportation arranged for delivery. Everything went smooth & the car arrived on the day as promised. I should mention that I also was involved with speaking to Chris Lewin Used Car Manager he was very pleasant to deal with also. The buying process was fast!! This place would not be so bad if they were honest and inspect the cars... I just bought the car and heard some noise while backing up. I brought it to my mechanic to have them look at it and they said I need new brakes. I go to the dealership. I show them the problem. They said they cannot help me because they already took so much off the car price. So now I have to pay for the car loan and now new brakes. Thanks Chris bang up sales job. You got me fooled.

He was very easy to talk to and was very laid back! AND he has great taste in music. Go and talk to Kevin for a hassle free experience. I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my 2014 Chevy Cruze LT from Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet in Wheaton, IL. My family has been buying vehicles from Jerry and his team for years, and the time came for me to buy a new vehicle. Although my family has been buying vehicles from Jerry for years, Jerry and his team earned my business right from the start. I had done my research on vehicles and options, and pricing in the market before coming into the showroom. Salesman Don Prescott showed me the available models that I had identified to him, and was very knowledgeable on the vehicles on hand at the sales lot, which were quite a few. The team at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet was clearly motivated to help me find the right vehicle for the right price, never once did I get the impression of any sales pressure or limitations on choices.After test driving a few different 2014 Chevy Cruze models, namely the LS and the 1 LT, the choice was clear on the 1LT. I sat down with Scott in finance and ironed out the details and was able to settle on a great deal for the vehicle, which was a very refreshing experience. Often times you hear different experiences about high pressure negotiations, and never once did I get that impression from anyone at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet. Now it was time to pick the right color!At first there was a little trouble finding a White 1LT with My Link and Driver Convenience Package, but Jerry Haggerty himself stepped over and identified one on the lot for me to test drive. After getting behind the wheel and taking a short trip around the block, I knew that this was the vehicle for me. Upon walking back into the showroom, Jerry was waiting for my impression of the test drive, which was a definite yes! Jerry shook my hand with a smile and we had a deal. I did my research for many months and put my cards on the table.They beat my expectations for sure. Don't mess around with anyone else. Also ask for Mike Haggerty. He is a great guy to work with. Honest and willing to work with you. I found a cheaper price on CarMax for the same car. Mike blew it out of the water$$$$$ After I purchased my Used 2011 Buick Regal RL6 and got it home and the windshield was chipped. I was like how did I not see this. I called and was expecting the normal " Well this car was Certified by our shop" I was shocked. Mike said I will have it replaced when ever you want. I called him back and said can you do it this week. Within the next 4 hours the Glass place was at my work. Now that's service. Also to my surprise when I called Mike and he was not at his desk or off. He texted me back. I liked that!!!!! Dedication even when your off work. Follow up was amazing. After returning to Illinois in 2008, I started using Haggerty for maintenance on my 2008 Hybrid Tahoe up through 2014 when I required an engine rebuild, which was well done. No issues with service at any time. Haggerty provided a fair trade-in for the Hybrid Tahoe during negotiations for a 2014 Chevy Volt. Chris Lewin Jr. was our salesperson who made sure we were taken care of. They met their online price which was better than what I would have received with my GM Supplier pricing. Wow, shopping online for a new vehicle, a new experience and a good one. The website was informative and made it easy. We got feed back almost immediately, and made an appt. with Joe Daddino. We were greeted warmly at the dealership and had good discussion on the vehicle we were interested in and the options that were important to us. Joe had the vehicle brought out and suggested a test drive, so we could see if the vehicle would fit in our garage and check out some of the new features that were on our truck.We came back later and presented our trade and got a great price. We were very satisfied, no hassle straight forward pricing. I stopped several times at the dealership when I got the bug to buy a new car. Every time I stopped there, they were super nice. Even though they knew I was just looking, they were always very courteous. Well I decided it was time to bite the bullet. I stopped at another dealer. The salesman was a real nice guy. When I told him I was not buying today, boy did his attitude change. All of the sudden he got real huffy and he wasn't nice and friendly anymore. Waled out of there and went down the street to Haggerty. Walked in and told Joe, "okay, I got my deal from another place, what can you do for me?" He found exactly what I wanted at another dealer. We shook hands and he told me that he would give me a call when they got the car to their dealership. He called me three days later and I went in and bought the car. Joe was wonderful! The other dealer wouldn't even give me a price unless I agreed to let him run my credit!!!

I went in to this dealership on Monday planning to test drive a car. I usually hate dealing with dealerships and the fact that it was pouring rain did not add to the ideal experience. Everyone there was so friendly, low-pressure, helpful that I ended up purchasing the vehicle that night. We didn't have a ton of time and they were able to finalize the details and get the purchase/financing completed in a timely manner. We finished the financing with Mike who was also nice and helped to speed up the process. We traded in a car as well. We ordered a new 2014 Camaro and Mike was great through the entire process. This is the 4th car that I bought from Mike Haggerty at Jerry Haggerty's Chevrolet. I needed a car with power steering, and I always wanted windows I could roll down, but since I got tendonitis in my shoulders, I knew I would have to get a new car with power steering and power windows. I was totally impressed with the beautiful Cruze, and I got the pretty dark red, and I believe it's called Crystal Red. Mike gave me good service, and a decent trade-in on my 7 year old car, that was in perfect condition. I live in Buffalo Grove, and drove all the way back to Glen Ellyn, because I like Mike Haggerty so much, and think he is the nicest sales man, and he showed me how things worked in the new car. I'll probably forget half of what he told me, but every new car that comes out has something different on it. I'll probably get my car serviced in Wheeling, but I have to check on how the service deals work. It was a pleasure doing business at Jerry Haggerty's Chevrolet, and I'm very glad that Mike Haggerty was there to be my salesman. I think he's the BEST, and I love my new car!!!

Unlike the Toyota dealership (where I was basically being told I wanted a Prius, and they wouldn't let me out of there without one), the service at Jerry Haggerty was helpful and patient. A few weeks ago we went to Haggerty Chevrolet looking for a used hatchback and ended up driving away with a new car. Our salesman Mike Pappa pointed out that with our trade ins we could basically drive away with a new Sonic for about what we'd pay for a used model. He then showed us some of the Sonics that they had on hand at the dealership. Mike made the experience a very positive one. He was friendly, knowledgeable, responsive to our questions, and patient. We never experienced any "hard sell" pressure. We liked the Sonics that he showed us and decided on one with features that the dealership didn't have. In order to close the deal with a car they had on hand, the dealership showed considerable flexibility on our trade ins. So, we drove away with a new 2013 Sonic with more features than we expected at no extra cost. Mike was also very responsive with answering our post-purchase questions and having some glue from the packing material removed from the hood. So far the only problem we have experienced is deciding who is going to drive the new Sonic, my wife and I or our daughters.

We were having a very difficult day to say the least, and everyone always dreads car shopping but this experience was the opposite. We called the dealership the day before and Mike Haggerty answered, it was 5 mins before they closed and he went out on the lot and took pics of the Envoy we were interested in viewing. We received them right away and he even took pics of the 3rd row seating which we were most with concerned due to space. The next morning we went and looked at it and it was just what we wanted he told us to go bring in the trade in and he would get the paperwork started. Well a block away from the dealership the engine on our car blew, we thought all hope was lost this deal is dead now, not the case. They felt so bad for us you can imagine our surprise. Everything still worked out just fine. Mike Haggerty our salesman and Mike O"Connell the business manager were wonderful, we can't say enough good things about them or begin to thank them enough they went above and beyond for us and we weren't even buying a new car. They joked with us, talked sports and made us feel at ease in our stressful day. Without these men I don't think we would have been going home with a car let alone the car we wanted and for a great deal and we also got a warranty for a car with over 100k miles good luck finding that anywhere else. I would recommend these men to anyone looking to purchase a car. Both of them were excellent and made our car buying experience simple, easy and hassle free. We will NEVER go anywhere else ever. This is the first review we have ever written about anyplace only because we feel so strongly about how wonderful this dealership, Mike Haggerty and Mike O'Connell are, thats why we took the time. I was contacted by Mr. Scott, for whom I explained my situation to him. I informed Mr. Scott that I did not want to waste his time nor did I want him to waste mine. Mr. Scott assured me that there would be no time wasting on either side. He assured me that if I would complete the application on line and he would get me into a car. The next day i received a call from Mr. Scott on the following day asking me to come to the dealership. Mike Haggerty and Mike in finance go the extra mile for their customers. I drove in from Cave City, Arkansas to buy a new truck and they found some issues with my trade in. After they had their service department inspect it, they found some issues with the intake gasket that would be a pretty hefty price to fix. They made sure that I was more than comfortable and were able to put the deal together. I am getting ready to get in my new White Silverado and have the best drive home to Arkansas than I ever expected. Thanks guys!

Upon doing alot of research in looking for a good used/priced second car I was about to give up but as I was looking I was very impressed that this dealership is BBB approved. That automatically made me check them out and when I decided to give them a call I was helped by a very nice salesman that helped me even more to make my decision to go see the vehicle I was interested in online.Once we got there I was not dissapointed to see it bcuz it was just as they said it would be online which is sometimes not always like the pics or the info. Jeff and Scott did a great job. I got a fair deal on a chevy suburban. My wife and I also traded in our xterra for a price far above what I was expecting. I had some credit issues that they were able to work out and get a loan with a fair interest rate. Im over all happy with the price I paid for the car and the quality. They are straight shooters here, not out to rip you off which is hard to find in my experience with car salesmen. Its a fair deal for everybody I defiantly will recommend to others. My 04 chevy suburban is a very clean car excellent condition.

We had been talking with Jerry Teafoe for a while about getting a new vehicle, when we went in late Friday,unfortunately we had just missed Jerry but Larry stepped up and advised us that he would be glad to assist us. We met Don, the sales manager, Jerry, the owner, Matt, who has serviced our other vehicles. Every one was glad we came in, happy to address any questions, show us any vehicle, let us test drive and to a man complimented us on the excellent condition of the 2004 Colorado we were going to be trading in. I had started feeling ill and even though they had spent several hours with us agreed that we should return when I was feeling better. Everyone wished us well and then there was a followup call by Larry to see how I was feeling. When we went back to the dealership, the vehicle we wanted was all ready and brought up front for us to see and drive. Jerry Haggerty, himself, took a look at the Colorado, drove it and complimented what excellent condition it was is. The trade in allowance was fair for a vehicle that was 8 years old and had close to 90000 miles on it. When we asked them to do better on the sticker price for us, they did. Mike took time to explain the mounds of paper work you have to sign & processed everything. It was all so easy, no pressure, no attitudes, was like being with old friends and we walked out to our brand new beautiful Equinox, with time set, favorite radio stations progammed, full tank of gas, cleaned from top to bottom and front to rear, plates on, seats warmed. The entire experience warmed our hearts. THIS WAS SO PLEASANT. Thank you Larry, Jerry, Don, Mike,and Matt it was a fantastic doing business with you and still can't believe that beautiful vehicle is OURS. When I entered the dealership I had a fairly good idea what type of vehicle I wanted. Jerry Teafoe listened to me and saved us both time by showing me exactly what I asked for. The negotiating part was also very fair on the part of Jerry and the dealership. The entire time I was in the dealership I felt that they took my negotiating seriously and professionally. Jerry Teafoe was great for keeping to the task at hand and not letting the deal get off track. I appreciated his professionaliam which saved us both a lot of time and effort. In the past I have bought several cars at Haggerty in Villa Park and liked that dealership as well, but I live closer to Glen Ellyn so I gave this dealership a try. My daughter also purchased a vehicle at this dealership and had a great experience with both the sale part and the servicing of the vehicle. As always Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet exceeded our expectations for service. In the past we rarely would bring our vehicles to a dealership for work. For the last couple of years we have been bringing all our vehicles to Haggerty and we won't go anywhere else. Matt Rotunno is amazing. He is always happy, honest and listening. I never felt rushed to get me out the door. He listened to all my concerns and called to follow up on them. I don't expect that level of customer service especially at a service center but they are consistently exceeding our expectations. Also the repairs have always been fixed the first time and we are charged a fair price. Matt makes is clear what they did. I rarely write reviews but everyone needs to know about your service!

Went and bought a car from Nick. He was fine throughout the sale, telling us the great aspects of buying a Chevy used certified vehicle and the rigorous 21 point inspection. He put the plates on it and gave us hugs and told us we were like family. That is where the honeymoon ended and the nightmare began. Soon after getting the car home and showing it off to friends, I removed the dealer license plate bracket to install my own. As I removed the bracket and and paper backing we noticed a huge gaping hole behind the plate. It was as if someone backed into something. We called the dealer and explained the problem. The salesman, nick, said it wasn't there when the plate was put on.....well, the plate that he put on was not damaged and there is no way that he could have put on the plate and not seen the damage. The dealer agreed to repair the damage. While driving the vehicle at night time, we became aware of the brake lights staying on, while the brake pedal had not been pushed. We also became aware of several other issues including rear doors not locking in sync upon pushing locking mechanism. As rude as Nick the salesperson, was the service department agreed to fix the issues. Still don't know how vehicle passed Chevy certified inspection. After buying our car on Labor Day, we were finally returned our vehicle, 20 days later. In working order. The service advisors said how sorry there was for all of the confusion and if there was any way that they could make it up in service that they would and for us to please consider Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet. Forward to mid October when our 02 Chevy Tahoe needed to go in due to not operating correctly. Had the vehicle towed in on a Thursday mid-day. Told we would not know until Monday. Fine...ok, called on Monday to find out the damage. Was told that no towing company dropped off vehicle. No Tahoe, no keys, don't know anything about. Was not until mid-Tuesday that we were called an told that they did, in fact have our vehicle and they are going to look at. Called back in a few hours and told there were metal flakes, not chunks of gear, mind you in the transmission pan and we need a new trans. Same price for rebuilt trans as a brand new trans. Calling the first transmission place that I found in the book led me to a price $2000.00 less than quoted at the dealer. We bought the

After searching for an suv for over a year, I located THE car at this dealership. We went in thinking we were going to be told all sorts of lies about the vehicle in order to make a purchase, just as we were at so many other dealershipe. But (Paul) did no such thing. If he didn't know the answer he would look it up. If I was curious about anything, he would point me in the right direction. He also stated, "if you're not pleased with our financing rate, you may seek out your own." There was no pressure from Paul. Due to Paul's genuinely modest, humble, and hones personality we purchased the vehicle. I didn't feel as though he was trying to take advantage of us. I realize then that even though the car was awesome, the service was what sealed the deal. The finance guy (Mike) was just as helpful. My 22 year old son Chris wanted his first car to be his dream car, an affordable Ford Mustang. After being turned down by 3 other dealerships because he did not have enough credit history and less than a year on his job, gave up on his idea of owning not only a Mustang but an affordable car at all. Well, I (Cheryl, mom)happened to be up at 3 a.m. one Saturday searching the Internet for a possible dealership that might be able to make his dream come true. I emailed several dealerships with one click and went to bed. My phone rang exactly at 8:15 with the nicest voice I have ever heard from a salesman on the other end of the phone. I explained my son's dilemma to Tom and he told me to please bring my son in and let him take his favorite car for a test drive and if he likes it, he will take his car home with him. Well, I woke my son, gathered all personal paperwork, check stubs, and monies needed we were told to bring in with him, and the rest is history. That team of names I mentioned brought tears to my eyes when Melissa and Mike O' worked the magic they did to get my son in his car and keep him in it. They were simply ANGELIC. I purchased my 2012 Chevy Volt from Haggerty Chevrolet in December 2011. I visited 3 other Chevy dealers prior to going to Haggerty. The other 3 dealers told me that the Volt was too new and they would not give me a break on the price....they wanted me to pay sticker. After being quite discouraged I decided to investigate the "Get Eprice" option found on the website listing. I received a response back within minutes that they would offer me the car for $5K less than what the car stickered for. I was sure it was a scam or the car had been wrecked or previously titled, etc. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT THE CAR WAS PERFECT!!! The car had about 800 miles on it as it was a demo car for shoppers looking at the Volt...which I could've cared less about given the huge savings! I was offered a fair price for my trade and I left with my new Volt just an hour or so later. I have been back to the dealer for a few random maintenance appts. and the service dept. is just as pleasant to work with. Thanks again Haggerty! I have never been treated so respectfully purchasing a car. I will definately do business with them for years to come.

Service Dept. is run by thieves and liars!!! I brought in my car because it was running very poorly. I was told i needed a new distributor, which they wanted $800 for the part. The distributor was still under warranty from an auto parts store, so i replaced it with that same part. After putting in the new part 2 more times, because they said the new part was no good and i had to replace again(what are the chances of 2 brand new parts being bad) Still not running after being there for 10 days!!!!!I decided to take the car to another shop that wouldn't rip me off. I had to pay $1200 to get my car out of there. The other shop fixed it in a day!!! The problem was a bad fuel pump.When i went back to Haggerty, i talked to a rude service manager. I want my money back for the unnecessary work that was done by them. I was told by the rude service manager "I'm not giving you anything". Then he tried to cover his a$$ by giving me excused why they did the work they did. Bottom line is that the service department will do anything to get as much money out of you as they can. STAY AWAY FROM JERRY HAGGERTY.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I baught a used car at this dealership from Paul Kucia. He was extremely thorough and helped me learn every detail about the car first. I felt well informed and buying the car was a smooth transition. He even was willing to give my brother a ride home after I traded the car I drove there in at the last minute. I hadnt brought the trade in car title and he was willing to pick it up at my house to save me the extra drive. He responded promptly to my call backs when I had simple questions after the car was already sold. I would recommend him to others.I really appreciated the manager, Lou Porretta. He gave me a very good deal on my trade-in and a good out the door price on my used car. He and other store workers stayed many hours after closing time to make sure that I could get my car and the deal that I wanted.I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership and have already recommended to others but with the precaution of the finance department. This dealership was by far the best dealership I have ever gone to. The people were friendly and more than happy to help me. I went here because I work at the YMCA across the street so it was very convenient, but I was still planning to look at other places afterwards. However, the minute I walked in I was helped right away by a man named Pete Jenkner and receieved top-grade quality service. The first car he showed me I ended up buying. He is an excellent salesman and I will be recommending him to my mother and grandmother, who are both in the process of looking for cars. I just bought a 2012 Chevrolet Volt and I am extremely excited about the deal I was given. I visited several other Chevy dealers in the Chicago land area in pursuit of the Chevy Volt and every single dealer told me the same thing... they are NOT negotiating on the Volt because it is too new! I sent an email request directly through Jerry Haggerty's website for an "e price" and I could not believe that they were willing to give me such a GREAT price on the Volt. I was expecting to receive a very low offer on my trade....however, they gave me a very acceptable and fair offer for my trade. What made the experience even better is that there was NO pressure, No gimmicks, no BS! The entire transaction was so calm and relaxed. As you can see, we had a great experience at Jerry Haggerty. We traded in a Miata for a Mercedes slk, and the whole process from start to finish was very pleasant. Casey was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and NOT pushy. Usually car buying is very stressful but not this time, Casey and Mike made it....well, fun! We drove from Morris, Il to see this car and it was everything we expected. Casey was helpful on the phone and always returned calls quickly. Dealing with the utmost respective staff at this chevrolet dealership has been a pleasure all in its own. The prices on the vehicles (and detailing) are unbeatable as far as I see. We had an excellent experience there. Didn't feel like we were "fresh meat" when we first arrived but then the sales team knew when we were needing assistance and were there right away. We felt very valued and all of the communication was very clear. Jerry Teafoe is a great guy and we will definitely return when we are looking for our next new car. This was my first Internet used car purchase. I selected a high-performance, used Mercedes that Jerry Haggerty Chevy was selling. (It even had two sets of wheels - but the importance of that spare set will be apparent later in this story.) The car I selected was price competitive with anything in the USA but you never know until you test drive the vehicle and meet the sales/service team "face-to-face." So I drove 700 miles to buy this car. (From Maryland to Illinois.) The sales team was professional and very friendly and helpful. The car was just checked out and washed and, in my opinion, it was way nicer than advertised. If I were to stop the review here, I would have given this dealership a 5.0 out of 5.0. But the saga continued... It was the Saturday before a 3-day holiday (4th of July) and as I was driving home with my new (new to me but a slightly used 2007) car and I hit a huge pothole. Both of my passenger side tires were blown and both rims were severely damaged. Red lights came on, and I pulled off the road and called the dealer... Even though this was my problem (road hazard), and even though it was Saturday - closing time, the dealer had that spare (extra) set of wheels and tires and they drove all four of these out to me (over an hour away). This auto dealer sales team (Ivan and Casey) then replaced all four tires with the "spare" set. I am still so grateful to their commitment to their customers and for their execution in getting me home. Had they not done this, I would have been 650 miles from home, with an "exotic" car needing an unusual tire size, on a Holiday weekend with no chance of getting home. If I could rate them 6.0 out of 5.0, I would. I would recommend this dealer to anyone, and I know that they are truly committed to excellence in terms of customer service.

Lenny Zych has been my mechanic and he does fabulous work! He's not only nice to deal with, he's honest! I just recently had the pleasure of meeting Mike, the warranty guy. He was very helpful and hilarious!! Not to often do you find people who actually laugh while at the car dealer! This is a great group of guys that I've had the pleasure to deal with! I had a specific model that I wanted with certain equipment, including a tow package. Rich was able to get the vehicle I wanted at a fair price, as well as a good price for the car I traded in. The dealership was also able to match a great loan rate that I had obtained from my bank. Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and professional. I never felt pressured. I will definitely return to this dealer for my next vehicle, since all in all it was a great experience!

Purchasing my used Yukon Denali from Jerry Haggerty's was a straightforward process. The pricing was competitive (I'd done considerable research before going to the dealer), the car was ready to test drive when I arrived, and the salespeople were friendly and knowledgeable. Specifically, Ivan Corak was very pleasant to work with. He was not high pressure and he was able to answer all of my questions quickly. Additionally he did one of the #1 things I appreciate when test driving cars: He let me test drive the vehicle by myself. I cannot stand it when salespeople try and go with you even when it's clear that you want to ride alone. Ivan didn't do that (or any of the other annoying "sales-ish" things). Instead he simply said, "Let me put a plate on it and we'll see you when you get back from your test drive." Well done!

I went in for a problem with the door locks. They checked out the remotes and found one was defective. They got two new controls and programed with the car. They then checked the controls to make sure they were working correctly. I was out of the dealership in fifteen minutes. That is what I call great service.

I was using cars.com to find a used Malibu in my area. I contacted the dealer through cars.com. Mike was very quick to respond to my e-mails. I work during the day so it was great that he used that form of communication, rather than trying to call me at inconvenient hours. I was on my way to look at a used white malibu, when Mike both called and e-mailed me that it was unfortunately being sold. I appreciated that he got a hold of me so fast to let me know. Instead, he specifically suggested another vehicle that was in my price range and had the features I was looking for. I probably wouldn't have even thought to look at the second car he suggested if he didn't point it out to me. He was very friendly about it and I felt he was looking out for my best interest, rather than pushing a sale on me.When I got to the dealership, Joe Genna was the salesman that helped me. He made me feel very comfortable and made the sales process painless! He honestly answered all of my questions and was a great help. I feel very satisfied after buying my car at Haggerty. They seem to value relationships and I didn't feel like just another sale. I would definitely recommend working with the dealership if you're buying a car!

I had a car I was looking for and was working on 2 dealerships, one in the north shore andthe other was Haggerty used cars in Glen Ellyn. Let me tell you that my experiences were night and day. The value of my "trade in" was in line; and the price of the car I wanted was in line in Glen Ellyn. The north shore dealership was playing games by going back and forth to the manager. They played that game about 3 times on my trade in, and on the price of the car I wanted. Needless to say I was turned off by the north shore dealership. This was not the case at Haggerty. At Haggerty, they were very open with their prices. The manager even sits out in the open with the sales staff, open and approachable. My experience was great and they didn't play any games. I will shop at Haggerty again.

I've rarely had such a good car purchasing experience. Jerry Teafoe and the other sales folks took care of everything. I had already secured a loan through an online lender, but since the check was going to take awhile to arrive, I figured I'd just call these guys and see if they could meet or beat the offer.Sure enough, they came through, and they came through that same day. They actually beat the financing offer I had.Since I would be flying in from out of state to pick up the vehicle, they even agreed to pick me up at the airport. Yeah, it's not a BIG deal, but it's one of the many small things that, when put together, paint a pretty picture of a successful auto dealership.These guys treat the customer with dignity and respect, and they don't mess around with you. Their pricing looked good, and their customer feedback was better than average.I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Jerry Haggerty's service was nearly equal to the dealership we have been buying vehicles from for decades. The difference was such a close call, that I couldn't say today whether or not one is necessarily better than the other. I went to lunch while they drew up papers, and I was out of there within 2 hours of arriving.I drove the vehicle home for over 1000 miles, and it was everything I had hoped it would be.Now, two months after the fact, I can tell you this vehicle I bought is really top shelf quality. I get under my vehicles and check, and this truck is pretty clean mechanically.My friends at work thought I got a good deal, and were truly interested when I told them what a great experience it was to purchase from Haggerty Chevrolet. We have been customers of Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet for many years. We have purchased many cars and have always had them serviced at the dealership.Their service dept.is outstanding in so many ways. Friendly, helpful, always willing to go out of ther way and they are very competitive pricewise. Last week is an example of what I mean. My windshield wiper, driver side would not operate so I took the car into be serviced. Matt met me , saw the problem and said hang on a minute. He came back with a wrench, popped the cover on the wiper, and adjusted the wiper and tightened down the nut. He snapped the cover back on and said "You are good to go". I was out of there in five minutes, I was prepared to wait much longer to get it fixed. This was done at no charge. This is just a recent example of how well you are treated. They have such a great attitude towards the customer. They are the best!

Service Adviser Matt is always very polite and helpful. Customer can count on prompt, attentive and focused customer service. Michael, the mechanic I have dealt with on many occasions displays technical competence and excellence. In particular, Michael listens closely to what the customer is experiencing and explains things that are quite technical in a way that isn't dumbed-down or insulting to a customer who may not understand complicated problems or newer technology. Michael leaves the customer with the sense that he has an excelent command of knowledge and has made you understand exactly what problem you vehicles is having without feeling like you're a dummy.

I was referred to Rich by my parents who also purchased an equinox in 2009. They mentioned that Rich was great and very helpful. He definitely lived up to his reputation. He initially met with us in January and we test drove the Equinox. He answered all of our questions (we had a ton) and we were also able to meet Joe his manager. Both Rich and Joe went above and beyond addressing all of our questions and concerns (we were first time car buyers). Rich even followed up with me via a phone call which was very thoughtful. Their service and dilligence were not forgotten, because in February we came back and committed to purchasing the Equinox. I love my new car, it drives like a dream! After the work was done the service manager talked to me about all the work that was done. I would recommend this dealer to do service on all my vehicles.

I was in the dealership after I took delivery of my new Colorado in 2009. I was less than impressed with the ability of the service department or their attitude. That COMPLETELY changed with my recent visit. I can't tell you how impressed I was at the great attitude, friendliness, and desire to make my visit perfect. The repairs to my truck were done quickly, efficiently and they even WASHED it when they were done! I'm glad Matt gave me this response card - I was going to write to the dealership anyway to give them a big "thumbs up" on the complete change of my opinion of the dealership. You will see me again!

Haggerty Chevrolet has professional sales people who go out of their way to satisfy a customer. Transactions are always completed on time and one never fells that they are being pushed or hurried. Tom, Rich, and the sales manager Joe were always in contact with me letting me know how they where doing on locating my new Equinox. This was the 9th vehicle my family has purchased from Haggerty and I gurantee there will be more due to the courtesy of the sales staff and the prices they offer.
