I had a nice buying experience at another Dealer 5 weeks ago; I had a new Elantra; then I learned that only models made after March of 2017 had done outstanding on the IIHS crash tests. My Elantra was made in Jan. 2016. With only 2500 miles on it, I knew I would loose a lot of money, but I COULD not allow my daughter or myself to drive a car without the highest safety rating. Salesperson was nice at other Dealer; I had been happy till I learned the news. I went to Jim Ellis: They spent hours with me researching the crash history of Elantra; they researched the Recall History; they had not known about this problem with date o f manufacture and Crash results. They showed me there was no safety rercalls on the car. Then we spent another hour finding me an Elantra built afterMarch, 2017. Mr. Adelman went through each model in his lot until we found one. He was patient, kind, and very understanding of the unfortunate problem I had with my Elantra. I took a significant financial "hit" on the trade, but I had to inorder to get the model with the highest safety rating. Mr. Adelman was the finest salesperson I had ever dealt with in 61 years of life. No pressure; only help. He made the difficult process tolerable. The other dealer who had been nice and kind to me; they made no effort to help me with this problem; made to effort to look into the problem or find me another car to buy. Mr. Adelman and Jim Ellis were the best.

So it has always felt to me that purchasing a car was a harrowing experience and one that left me feeling beaten up at the end of it. I will say for the first time, buying a car left me feeling good! I never felt rushed and my salesperson (Marty Adelman) had even picked out a few cars for me to review when I arrived for my appointment with him. He allowed me ample time to look at any car I was interested in and I test drove several cars over the course of my time there. He made it clear that me finding a car that suited my needs and finances was the ultimate goal. I never felt pressured to buy or like I was taken advantage of in any way. I believe I got an excellent deal on a good car and have been recommending Jim Ellis Hyundai and specifically Marty Adelman to everyone I know who is looking at buying a car. I would definitely return there if I need to purchase another vehicle.

This was the 2nd vehicle we looked at at JEH. We honestly came on a whim to see a car to knock it off the possible list. It was great and Darrow was super accommodating. Some other employees kept us company while we were waiting and that was nice. Darrow was great and was no-nonsense. The team was quick to negotiate a win win situation (we ended up trading in our old car). We're super excited about our Santa Fe. Didn't love the some of the warranty loopholes where are car wasn't as covered as we thought (perhaps this could be more up front). We'll take responsibility for some of that.

I had a good experience at Jim Ellis Hyundai. The only problem was that the car did not come with the Apple CarPlay that was advertised. When I talked to several different people about installing the software, I got different answers, with one being that I would get charged for having the dealership install the software on the car. I finally spoke with someone who told me how to install the Apple CarPlay software onto the car and I did it myself. Otherwise my experience was great! Joseph Harmer was the best salesperson that I dealt with in my entire car buying experience including at other dealerships.

Our initial car search was online. A call was received from Brittany who met us and connected us with Tyler. The car we had looked at online was washed and ready for us to test drive. We decided to check out one other car which Tyler made available for us. We made our decision and completed the paperwork. Tyler was very personable and had a sense of humor that made the time needed pass more quickly. Over all a very good experience.

I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Eco from Jim Ellis yesterday, driving about 40 miles from my home. The day before, I had driven 75 miles to a Hyundai dealership in Milledgeville where I was royally baited and switched. They had advertised a car as new with 10 miles on it, and when I arrived I found out it had over 10,000 miles on it. After my bad experience with this dealer, I arrived at Jim Ellis with both fists up, ready to suspect every statement made. I had identified the Eco that I wanted from the Jim Ellis website. It was listed at a good price, $4000 below MSRP. I was prepared to hear that they had stacked up a bunch of discounts to arrive at the price, most of which I didn't qualify for. The sales rep, Marti Adelman, immediately put me at ease. They would sell me the car at the price they advertised. He said the new car had 32 miles on it, and that's what the odometer said. Marti made the sales experience enjoyable. It took awhile to get the paperwork done, of course, but he made the process so smooth that it was more like visiting with an old friend. He took care of getting everything done, and even noticed that the mats were missing from my car and went off to find some. I saw him standing in line at the Parts window to get the mats. I dropped my glasses at one point and frame broke open. Marti said he'd been an optician in a prior life. He took my glasses away and amazed me by bringing them back fixed. Everyone else at Jim Ellis seemed very professional and helpful, including the credit manager Mark Smolyar, but if you want someone to take real good care of you, Marti is the person to ask for. And the car is just great!

From beginning to end our car buying experience was easy and exceptionally pleasant. Lucian Brener made the process trouble free and streamlined. The car was even delivered to us for a reasonable fee - we never set foot in the dealership or had to deal with Atlanta traffic. When the car was delivered, it was perfect. I have purchased many cars over the years but have never had a better experience than at this dealership. They made us feel like valued customers, something that is not as common as it might be. My expectations were high and they delivered on every single thing a person could ask. Definitely and highly recommend!

I discussed the car I wanted over the phone and was very specific about how I expected a CPO car to be when I arrived. I arrived and the car was dirty inside and out (thick brake dust on the wheels and crumbs in the interior). Furthermore, when we test drove the car, the brakes were horrible and even the sales person (Terry Morgan) admitted they must have missed that during the CPO process. When he asked the service manager about it he said that it had been sitting a while and just needed to be driven. Well, we drove it about 20 miles through various speeds of traffic and it was getting worse as we went. The final issue was that they wouldn't even budge off of the sales price at all versus the internet posted price. A one hour drive wasted when we had very specific discussions about the car and the deal we were striving for. I dealt with Jim Ellis Porsche before and had a great experience. This was way below and I doubt I will return. I also doubt the CPO inspection was actually performed.

My Genesis Coupe was feeling a little sick this morning. I called up the Service Department at Jim Ellis Hyundai and received immediate Assistance from Danon Henton Service Advisor. Danon told me to bring Viola T right in and he would take care of our problems. Never heard of a Dealership telling you to COME RIGHT IN???? More specifically, Danon Henton went above and beyond to ensure that the frustrating experience of car troubles was not compounded by price haggling or overselling. When we found a cheaper price for one of the repairs, the guys at Jim Ellis Hyundai were willing to match that price. I recently moved pretty far away from this dealership and given travel I purchased my most recent Hyundai at a dealership closer to home- never again will I make this mistake!!!! The dealership I went to I'm in all sorts of battles with- they lied on inspections etc. and sure enough I went back to Jim Ellis (which is 1.5 hours away) and felt right at home. They are loyal and recognize me as a valued customer. They recognize everyone as a valued customer whether it's your first or third car! They just simply care!! This is a hard to find trait in the car business sometimes- but go to Jim Ellis and you will be at ease. Hyundais are great and reliable cars and my only regret is that I bought my most recent one at another dealership!! Never again!

I found the car I was looking for on line at Cars.com I clicked on the tab to show I was interested. I received an email from Jim Ellis Hyundai within 10 minutes. The next business day I received a phone call from Lou Hammersmith as a follow-up to my inquiry. Every detail was laid out over the phone including my credit check. Once I sent a copy of my flight itinerary to Lou the car was set aside for me. I flew in from Philadelphia and Lou pick me up at the MARTA station with the car is looking to buy. We did the test drive and return to the dealership. The paperwork was complete in one hour and I was the new owner of a Genesis 5.0. I returned to this dealership with my 2013 Hyundai Elantra for the free oil changes that I received when I purchased this car. While I was waiting for my oil change, I went into the showroom and purchased a 2016 Sonata. I truly enjoyed my first visit to Jim Ellis Hyundai off Peachtree Blvd! There was not haggle or stalking me over the phone after my first visit. Just a follow up one phone call was nice instead of continuous phone calls. I was allowed to take the car home for one night and test drive it. That really help make my decision. I took it back the very next day and bought the car. I LOVE my CAR (Genesis 5.0)! My overall experience when purchasing the car was very positive/fast/friendly. I would recommend this dealership to my family and friends. My sales rep was Sanjiv (Sam) Patel and I adore him! Great guy to work with! Also, I have to comment that Jason Guzik and Hav-B Cao were fantastic to work with and knew all the answers to my questions. Jason, Sam, and Hav-B all have good good energy and make buying simple/easy. Rick Case should be happy to have them working at his dealership.

I originally leased my santa fe from rick case hyundai and had a horrific experience with not only the sales team but mostly the service team. So when I moved close to jim ellis, I have to say they blew it out of the water. They accepted me in like family and I have been going there ever since for everything. Bruce vernon is one of the best service reps you will ever meet. He has gone above and beyond so many times to help me. Like when my car engine randomly blew (probably bc of my bad ATL driving), he fought hyundai corporate when they didn't want to replace it for free. New engine with upgraded turbo cost me nothing on top of them paying for an updgaded suv rental since I was in the middle of a move. So when I bought my car off the lease I went back and met the most awesome car dealer Sam Patel. He took care of me and made sure to get me the best deal; even personally taking my car for the required emissions test up the street since I was in a leg cast. It's all the little things that make this place awesome. Thank you for the amazing service.

Marcus did a great job selling me on the Genesis. I must admit I liked the way they looked but was really looking at a Jaguar and an Audi. Without much pressure he asked what I liked about those brands and without tearing them down he just showed what I could get with the Genesis. When we talked about my needs, Marcus knocked it out of the park with an AWD model, all weather floor mats and lane assist for the long road trips (I never even knew I wanted Lane Assist.) Adding to that, on the day I needed to pick up the car, I told him that I only had 1 hr and really did not have time for the normal song and dance. I was in and out in 56 minutes. Naturally the Genesis is an outstanding product. However, it took a great salesperson to convince me to walk away from the Mercedes I traded in, the Audi I thought I wanted and the Jaguar I thought I needed. I love the car.

My Hyundai car buying experience was from the moment I entered Jim Ellis Hyundai until my departure with my new 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport. The environment was very comfortable and the process overall was very smooth. The salesman, Damien Solomon was very professional and friendly and did not exert any pressure on me to purchase. He addressed all of my questions and concerns satisfactorily before I made a decision to purchase. Mr. Solomon was very patient with me as I had a lot of questions. Although I didn't think it highly important because the car is new, he encouraged me to test drive the car before I decide to purchase. He explained the various features from Bluetooth to blue link to wheel locks...all sorts of features of the car, and their functions. He explained the initial car maintenance schedule. After I decided to purchase my vehicle, Mr. Solomon also went a step further to assist me in returning the rental vehicle I had when I came to the Jim Ellis dealership. The finance team members were also courteous and professional. I am very satisfied with my new Hyundai Sonata Sport and the ease of my purchase. Since my purchase, I had one minor paperwork issue having to do with financing and I called Mr. Solomon. Mr. Solomon stated he would follow up to get the issue resolved. Although it was his day off, Mr. Solomon took care of my concern, noitifying me upon resolution. That is what I call service and an extremely pleasant car buying experience! Thank you Mr. Solomon for making this experience stress-free.

My sales contact, Sam Patel, greeted me upon my entering the dealership with a genuine and personable smile that set the tone for a wonderful car buying experience. His title should be relationship manager because he thoughtfully and completely managed my relationship with Jim Ellis. Sam's title is Team Leader, which fits him well. On one occasion, Sam was busy with another customer but he connected me with another member of the sales team, Tai C., who was also very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to assist me in answering my questions and provided me with supplemental information that helped me finalize my decision on which model to purchase. Now it was time to close the deal with the "hard core finance guys". My auto purchase did not include a "hard core finance guy!" I was paired with Mr. Hau-B Cao who is about as far from your typical finance contact as you can ever imagine. He talked numbers, finance rates, and warranties. He candidly and patiently explained the positives and negatives of my finance options and rates. He also went into detail explaining the warranty options. He was never pushy nor did he steer me in the direction of opting for the highest plans. He simply provided the information, gave real life examples and answered all of my questions. All of these gentlemen exhibited knowledge. patience and professionalism unmatched by any person at other local Atlanta dealerships. I strongly suggest to anyone interested in buying a vehicle to visit Jim Ellis Hyundai on Peachtree Blvd. and talk with Sam, Tai or Hau-B.

The day after I purchased my Hyundai Genesis, I hit an infamous Atlanta pothole, which resulted in a blown tire. It was under warranty so I arrived when the service department opened on Saturday morning. Although I did not have an appointment and was very frustrated, Mr. A.G. Elder exercised patience and professionalism and worked me in to have my care serviced. He arranged to have the tire brought in from another location, had the tire mounted and balanced and completed an alignment in a relatively short amount of time. Had done all of my research and shopping on Autotrader, KBB, and the manufacturer site, I came in late on a weeknight with a cash deal for a new Sonata Hybrid Limited. After test driving a couple of different versions and getting to know the features (and there are a lot of great features on this thing), I asked for their best deal, and they quickly obliged. The price was actually below the KBB Fair Purchase Price, so I was happy. When I came back to close the deal and take delivery, they were ready for me, and I was in and out in 45 minutes, spending less than 15 on paperwork. Exactly how you want these things to go. On Christmas Eve, the "malfunction" light in my 2012 Hyundai Accent came on as I ran last minute errands. I thought "this is one expense that I don't need at this time" as I had planned to drive out of town Christmas Day. Please note: I have taken my car into the dealership three times in less than 2 years (since I purchased it), not including taking it in for reg. maintenance. When I returned, I took my car into the dealership to have my vehicle checked. The service man told me that it would cost me approx. $120 just to have diagnostic tests run, not including any costs related to repairs. At the time, I did not have the funds to cover that expense in addition to any other expenses incurred. I politely asked the service man if he would have my car pulled back around as I could not afford the costs. Several minutes later I saw that my car had been pulled around. The service man then gave me my keys and I proceeded to leave. As I got into my car and turned on the ignition, I found that the "malfunction" light was no longer there! Wow I am speechless! I wasn't expecting them to fix it as the guy helping me sort of rolled his eyes at me from the beginning. I intended on bringing it back when I could afford it. This speaks to the amount of care that the repair team possesses. Thank You!

The people at the dealership are very nice and we love the car that we purchased. Overall a good experience. On the flip side; the facility is rather old and small. Not enough customer parking spaces to park your own vehicle upon arrival. Would recommend the Jim Ellis group based on knowledge of some of their other dealerships and I assume they are going to upgrade this one too.

The first dealership I dealt with rude inconsiderate and degrading sales people and I did not feel comfortable there. But at Jim Ellis it was so inviting. I'm so skeptical of dealerships that I bought my last two cars through a car buying service, and I had already walked away from two others (a Subaru dealership and another Hyundai dealership) for this go-round. I had actually only gone in to Jim Ellis to look at Tucsons before ordering one through a service. I ended up buying one. They were that good, that honest and really made me feel welcome even though I was getting a base model. Most importantly they understood that I did not want to get too excited and make an emotional decision, and were respectful of that. I also got ZERO condescension even though I was a single female and all the people I worked with were men. I would gladly go back to Jim Ellis and have already sent friends and family their direction.

Lucien was very friendly and helpful. It is the first time I have ever leased a car and I was nervous. When I gave an honest price that would make the deal Lucien and the sales manager made it happen. We had a slight miscommunication about a rear view mirror feature that started to give me leasers remorse, but Lucian did everything to fix the problem fast and I feel much better now. Sam did great explaining the car and providing excellent attention to me and my needs on the car to support Lou in my purchase. The financing team beat my credit union and was a pleasant surprise. Easy transaction from long distance and friendly staff at Jim Ellis Hyundai. As far as facilities on this review, I gave it 4 Stars b/c the inside is nice but the parking lot is a mess. Too crammed, difficult to get a parking spot and was afraid to loop around in a car since very tight out front. That is my only complaint

I originally purchased a 2014 Hyundai Veloster R-Spec from Jim Ellis, it was a great car and everything at the dealership was done correctly and they definitely went the extra mile, because of the rarity of the car they allowed me to stay extra late at the dealership just so that I could have my car that day. Sadly that vehicle was totaled, but I immediately came back to Jim Ellis for my second Hyundai, this time a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, and again experience was amazing. Spencer (my salesman) and his team were great, straightforward with you and "Albie" (my finance man) was also amazing, I'd recommend both of them to anyone and the dealership in general to anybody that wants a Hyundai (who doesn't!?)

54 years old and I had never, repeat, never purchased a car off a lot in my life. Sharif was very friendly, personable, professional and courteous. He listened carefully to understand the nature of the repairs needed and we really liked him. Also, we really liked the new arrangement of the desks because it offered more privacy and work space for the service people. I began my service experience with Jim Ellis Hyundai over two years ago with my 1998 Hyundai Elantra. The first time I came the entire service team showed a heartfelt welcome. I knew it was time to purchase another vehicle, but I didn't want another monthly bill right now. Mike and Bruce knew it was time for me to purchase a new car. However, they never influenced or coerce me to buy a new car. They wanted me to make-up my own mind. Finally, in late October, 2014 Bruce took me in the repair area and educated me about the condition of my car. After hearing his expert advice, I knew I had no other choice, but to buy a new car. Bruce introduced me to "D" Hickson. He helped me pick out a 2013 pre-owned vehicle with very low mileage with full warranty. Mark worked out a monthly payment plan that would fit my monthly budget. As a single female they all made me feel this is the type of service you can trust. I am pleased with my car. I had my first oil change March 03. Of course, as always, I received a warm-friendly greeting from Charlie. Even though I did not make an appointment, Bruce.after finishing up with another client, came to my rescue to make sure I got quality service that they always give.

After driving the car, I decided to purchase it. When everything was done Lucian sold me the car for less than the asking price without any negotiating what so ever. He was very fair with my trade in value and was doing everything he could do to make sure I was happy. I got to say, this was the best buying experience I have ever had purchasing a car. After a fairly pleasant experience a month ago assisting a lady friend pick out a new Hyundai using the Costco Car Buying discount program, I researched several Atlanta area Hyundai dealerships and came back to Kevin Frye to consider purchase of a 2015 Genesis. What a dismal shock to experience a completely different atmosphere and personality. There was a lot of the typical salesman b s talk. Then when we finally got to specifics with the purchase, he and management were not flexible at all with pricing and the offer they made on my trade was $4000 less than Kelly or Carmax. There was the typical back and forth walk between salesman and mysterious approvals person behind closed doors. That is ludicrous. I never met any other staff and no from mgmt ever came out to work a better deal or to do a follow up call after i left so disappointed! Bottom line. I went to Rick Case and experienced the total opposite approach! Hands down the best deal on a new 2015 Genesis! Friendly,down to earth staff who are up front with best deal options. No haggling or deceitful tactics such as was case with Jim Ellis. Mark Thompson and Matt Rowan went above and beyond to insure my happiness with a new Genesis in color and style I desired (transporting from Savannah!) So personable for management team to be sitting right in middle of showroom--in touch with the customers; not hidden behind some mysterious wall or other room making their back and forth offers as you typically exoerience in other dealerships. Mark even offered to personally wash my car next time I came by! I definitely will be referring friends and family to Rick Case from now on!

I said I would wait for it, and before I could even get to the good parts in a "People" magazine, my car was ready. And, they washed and vacuumed it. For my wife and me, Jim Ellis completely wasted our time and gave us an absolutely terrible experience. We spent several days discussing multiple vehicles and negotiating price. We want to know exactly what the transaction will costs us, therefore, we were negotiating the "final price," i.e., the total consideration after taxes and dealer fees. After a few days and multiple discussions, it seemed like we were in agreement on the final price and we were excited about purchasing the vehicle (even after they made us wait almost three hours before finally getting to us). When they presented us with the transaction summary, we saw where Jim Ellis was trying to screw us. Instead of the "final price," Jim Ellis presented us with a summary that assumed our $3,000 down payment was already in their hands! They tired to put the $3,000 on top of the final price which we had negotiated, as if a down payment is extra income to them rather than part of how we would finance the vehicle. WE WERE LIVID! We let them have it and walked out of Jim Ellis Hyandai. We will not be dealing with these cheats again.

We purchased a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe Sport 2.0T from Jim Ellis Hyundai in Atlanta, GA. This was by and far, the very best experience I have had in my 43 years of purchasing cars. All of the people we dealt with were top-notch. Avery was exceptional. When we are in the market for another vehicle that is sold by the Jim Ellis Automotive Group, we would shop there first.

I brought my 2010 Hyundai Elantra to Jim Elliis Hyundai in Norcross to have a remote programmed for it. I must say...it was the BEST experience I ever had at a car dealership service dept. Peter Damianeas took care of me immediately upon my arrival and my car was completed when promised. They also washed and vacuumed my car which wasn't expected. I got door to door service! When I walked to my car I noticed my temporary tag had gotten wet and ripped so Peter immediately took action and took the tag off and taped it onto one of Jim Ellis temporary plastic tags and replaced it on my car! This guy is great in showing the customer that they are #1 and Jim Ellis aims to please! Thanks so much Peter!!! NOTE: Why am I so surprised? My car wasn't even purchased at Jim Ellis yet he treated me as if it was. I will not hesitate to come to them again.

Wonderful, wonderful experience every single time! From buying the exact car that I wanted, in the color I wanted from Ky...I have received excellent customer service every single time!! My experience at Jim Ellis hyundai location was just amazing. Its been 3 months after the purchase of my car from this dealer and I am still 100% satisfied. Specially our Sales Associate - El Rico Williams was great (rarely I get to find such good sales person) and understood our requirements, managed to get us the car that I always wanted and biggest thing he managed to give us that cat would fit in our budget. It was just the first week that we had started to look for new car and we thought to browse around at different dealership with no intention of buying the same day.. We just wanted to look n compare n take our time. Then we entered at Jim Ellis deslership and El Rico ( "OUR CARGUY") who is so hardworking, very effecient in what he does and courteous to customers. Though it was Friday night, after business hours he managed to sit extra hours patiently and let us browse, test and try as many cars we wanted to check out and finally we liked one car - hyundai Elantra which I have always liked it but never in our budget but here El Rico's strong intentions to give us a car that we like, in our price and making it a deal, made it successful. Lastly I would also appreciate his manager who was so friendly, helped us get a decent Auto loan. I am still very satisfied with Post-Sale care. I hardly ever write reviews but the level satisfaction I received from here that inspired to spread the word and I am sure you will experience similar amount of satisfaction. I hope my review helped

Had my Azera in for service. Just got the feeling these folks were so squirrelly. Told me my tranny was out and that I needed a new one. Like a dummy I did not take it to get a second opinion. $4k lighter I pick up the car. Go about a mile up the road and have to turn around . The car is running so rough I thought it would tear itself apart. Turns out they did not sync the new transmission. You would think that when a customer drops $4k+ they would make sure that they got things right.

This was our 3rd experience for purchasing a car from Jim Ellis . Our first car was a Hyundai Santa Fe 2002. We had the Santa Fe for 14 years with very few unfixable problems. You just can't beat the warranty if you have to drive a lot of miles. That was the main reason we came back to get another Hyundai, this time a Sonata. We knew what we wanted ahead of time as far as options, color and payments. El Rico Williams help to deliver everything that we needed almost exactly what we wanted and more than we expected. I was real skeptical that our credit wasnt good enough because of recent doctor bill issues, but they really did come through and we worked out reasonable payments. I would recommend everyone to check out Jim Ellis and defiantly talk to El Rico Williams. Lyn

Brought my 2008 Santa Fe in for regular oil change on Saturday 5/24/14. Mike Ennis is always smiling and helpful. No problems - great service (as usual). Car was washed (as usual) and looked great when I returned for pick up. Cashier (can't remember name) always helpful and smiling also. I found a vehicle on line for what I considered a good price. My son really liked the car and I didn't even haggle on the price. BUT, after more than a week of planning and making arrangements and arranging financing / insurance we drove 3.5 hours to pick up the vehicle. When we arrived there was a dent in the Drivers front fender AND a long scuff on the front bumper. We signed the paperwork but my son was understandably upset at not being able to pick up the vehicle. I felt that Ellis could have arranged for the dent to be fixed at the local Hyundai dealer near our home but they refused. The vehicle was delivered to us 4 days later and the dent was fixed satisfactorily however, the scuff on the front bumper was not touched. We took delivery but only because of my son's impatience. If this were my personal vehicle they would have had it returned and likely lost the sale. I did think the sales guy and the F&I guy did a very good job but service after the purchase is what I look for.

Just signed the papers on a used 2012 Hyundai Genesis after a lengthy search. These guys are a class act without much of the run around customary from dealers. I actually made an offer on one day which was refused so I walked out the door. The salesman though apparently kept working after I had left and contacted me the next day to let me know that my offer would accepted if I was still interested. That was definitely a first for me which was handled with a lot of class; keep in mind that I've bought 20 or so cars in my life so I've seen the good, the bad and ugly care dealers and salesman. I'm happy to report that the deal we negotiated over the phone was the exact one I just signed. They are true to their word. They detailed the car very nicely and I am quite ecstatic with the car and the deal and with the level of respect and consideration they extended to me. I'd definitely consider these guys again for a car purchase!

My boyfriend and I visited Jim Ellis Hyundai a few months ago to browse their used car section. We did not plan to buy, but the sales man found us a Veloster that was fully loaded with the tech package. Needless to say, we were very impressed with the car and bought it right away. Since then, we have had a flat tire and a bad alternator on the car. This is not at all Jim Ellis fault, but you would think that sales people / service employees would be sympathetic about our situation. The alternator on the car actually went bad this morning, 12/3/2013. My boyfriend called Jim Ellis, the man who answered the phone was very friendly. He said to bring it right in and we would be given a loaner, just ask for Peter. Well, my boyfriend drove from North Alpharetta to their Atlanta location and was greeted very poorly, in fact rudely. He asked for Peter who told him he had no idea what he was talking about and could not help him. They were very short with him and would not give him any options. The Hyundai would not start again, so he had to have the car jumped and had to drive all the way back to North Alpharetta, to Rick Case Hyundai, which is 1 mile from our condo. We wanted to bring the car to Jim Ellis for the service due to buying the car there in the first place and thinking that Jim Ellis had exceptional customer service. NOPE. We will not be going back to Jim Ellis. I was even considering purchasing a 2nd Veloster from them, which will not be happening. I will be sticking with my Fiat, which I purchased from the car dealership next door from Jim Ellis, they actually have an exceptional service center.

This had to be the most impressive buying experience I've ever had. I shopped hard for my used Genesis and went to 3 dealers total to find my best deal. The first dealer I went to was in Duluth and showed a good price for the color I wanted and said they'd give me the best deal for my trade - but when I got there they played games with me, gave me an insulting value for my trade, and the pricing we agreed to had changed when I got into the finance office. Needless to say I got up and walked out of the Duluth dealer. The second car dealer I went to was closer to home and had my other color preference. When I went into this second dealership I was ignored, I walked by several people and nobody offered to help me, and I even walked around several cars in their showroom and nobody spoke to me. When I finally got a salesman to help me look at the car I wanted he seemed like he felt bothered to test drive it with me and then told me they didn't want to value my car unless I was ready to buy right then. Tired and frustrated I left this second dealer as they didn't deserve my business. I'm 52 and have been buying cars for over 30 years. I don't put up with BS. I searched some more and found the Genesis in both colors I was looking for at Jim Ellis Hyundai. I was contacted by Tim Kettler and he was very friendly and helpful on the phone and I set up an appointment to meet with him. I told him that I was looking at 2 other cars elsewhere but did not tell him of my experiences. I scheduled a test drive and said I was on my lunch break with little time to spare as I was getting tired of dealerships in general. I showed up and Tim had my car up front waiting on me to look at which surprised me as I've never ever had that happen before. After a warm respectful welcome Tim introduced me to another employee (sorry forgot her name) and explained she would get all the information on my trade while I took a test drive to help expedite my time. The test drive was great, there was no pressure and Tim answered all my questions. When we got back Tim was quick to present numbers to me and worked out a acceptable amount for my trade and offered to expedite the transaction and have me out in my new car in under an hour. I wasn't able to stay that day as I had to resolve something with my bank and on my trade in payoff. I called Tim the next day (Saturday) and told him I wanted to finalize the deal but my wife and kids didn't want to spend all day in a car dealership. Tim told me not to worry he'd take care of everything. I got there an hour later and the car was up front and already detailed! Tim not only greeted me at the door, but he also took the time to say hello and shake hands with my wife, my son, and my daughter! The wife and I were shocked! She's never had anybody acknowledge her all the times shes gone with me to buy anything let alone a car, usually all communication is only directed to me. We sat down and I signed some paperwork which the figures were exactly as agreed upon. Tim took me to the finance guy and he was great too. No pressure at all and the numbers were exactly the same - nothing changed and nothing was hidden - everything was professional and kept exactly as agreed and I got a great deal on a warranty. Tim Kettler made me and my family feel like we were a part of the Jim Ellis family. If you're in the market for a car you really need to see Tim Kettler at Jim Ellis Hyundai as he is hands down the finest professional I have ever dealt with in my life.

The people at Jim Ellis Hyundai are very polite and courteous. However, the non-competitive prices (to be fair, all car dealerships overcharge compare to other service points, and this one is no exception) and the poor quality of the service are major irritants. Essentially, this dealership has caused me more problems that it has solved. As my car is under warranty, I need to have the major repair done at this dealership. The last three times it has been serviced, I needed to bring the car back within 2 days because of unresolved issues. In one instance, I brought my car in because the check engine light was on. After the car had been serviced, I did not even had time to reach the I-285 that the check engine light was back on because of what it turned out to be misfire. Three trips to the dealership and 3 days without a car later, I finally had the problem solved. The latest incident is related to the brake light switch recall. I had my car serviced and the light switch was changed. Later that evening, after picking up the car from the dealership, I realized the brake light actually never turned off. I verify the switch and it turned out that it was defective. I had to make another round trip to the dealership... I understand that things can happen and people make mistake, but changing a brake light switch and actually testing a little before returning the car to a client is not exactly rocket science. As a result, I am greatly dissatisfied with the quality of the service at this dealership, and unless they implement some important reform regarding the control of quality of their service, I do not intend to have business with them as soon the warranty ends, and I will certainly never buy a car at this place again.

DJ was amazing! He helped me set up the entire purchase over the phone. All the contracts and paperwork overnighted with FedEx. I flew from NJ to pick up my new Matte Grey Veloster Turbo, and half expected something to go awry upon arrival, but everything was ready and set up. I was in and out in less then 30 mins. Couldn't be more pleased with the service, courtesy and follow-thru of the folks working over at Jim Ellis, and especially DJ!

Good: Salesman (DJ) is a nice guy and worked hard, honored the deal (almost) and found the vehicle at the last minutesBad: Long waits in the store; They would not honor the TrueCar price at first, told a few half-truths around the deal, kept promising inventory they could not produce, contract was not consistent with the quote, forced us to do an unnecessary credit app by surprise, did not prep the vehicle properly upon delivery. All in all a bad experience; this was my second purchase from this store, and likely my last. First one went better.

I had a very serious accident, a t-bone side impact in my Tuscon The EMTs said the only reason I was alive was the side airbags and safety features. This time I selected a Sante Fe, a littler larger and even higher safety ratings. Jim Ellis service had always been wonderful and that is why I came back. There is a new Hyundai dealership less than 5 mules from my house.i came inside the perimeter to get the quality service Jim Ellis offers. The service guys call me by name. Last week I finally admitted to myself that I needed a new car. My 1999 Ford Taurus was no longer a reliable vehicle for me. I began the search for a new car, and decided that what I really wanted was a Hyundai Santa Fe. Through my research, I learned about Tuscons and thought that would be a more financially available option for me. I'm a teacher and a single mom to a 4 year old little girl. I HAD to choose something safe, that came with a good warranty (remember, that reliablity issue is what started this search.) AND a price that I could afford. Hyundai was at the TOP of the list, but I researched other similar crossovers just in case.... I called Jim Ellis on Tuesday morning and made an appointment to meet with Don Wood on Wednesday morning. I expected to car shop at several dealerships, and I investigated other vehicles at other dealerships, but somehow I never got around to making those appointments to meet with their sales people... I think it was a sign. On Wed, I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Wood. I explained to him my priorities, and he explained to me his "Right Needs. Right car. Right price." and he assured me that we would find the car together. He looked at some of the options that weren't hyundais that I was exploring in my research. He printed out for me a side by side comparison of the vehicles against Hyundai. I had to admit, that his facts were true to my own findings, so he didn't spin any facts! I loved the fact that he was very knowledgable, and in his explanations, he was never pushy. We both agreed that I would drive a Tuscon. As it turned out during the test drive, the Tuscon was not the car for me. I didn't love it. I was shocked at my own response to the vehicle. I was sure that I was going to love it, but it just felt to light for me and while the steering was a breeze, I have been driving a heavy Taurus with NO power steering, so I needed something a little different. I felt a bit dejected as we approached the dealership and parked the Tuscon back in it's spot. I told him honestly that I didn't love it, and that I really didn't like the color of that particular car (super blue sparkle) even though it was pretty, it wasn't for me. Mr. Wood didn't even bat an eyelash, he assured me that I needn't worry, that we'd just go back and talk it out again, but that there were no 2012 Santa Fes on the lot, so we'd need to discuss something else. As we walked back into the building he stopped, "LOOK! It's a Santa Fe! It hasn't been out here long, it doesn't even have a sticker on it yet!" I perked up, the color wasn't black or white, but it was close! (pacific blue pearl) I was interested in test driving THIS one! Don got the keys, we drove it, and when it was over I was able to say, "I like this one." Now he had discovered MY needs... found me THE RIGHT car... and then it was on to the price. Don couldn't do all the negotiating with me since my budget required some tailoring that was outside of the norm. Don introduced me to Jason Reeves a finance manager. Jason and Don and I negotiated for about 2 hours. We finally got it right. The Right Car AT THE RIGHT PRICE! Because I had my father co-signing with me, we couldn't do the paperwork until Thursday, but Don and Jason let me take the Santa Fe as a loaner car and allowed me to return with my father Thursday afternoon to make it official. In total, the Jim Ellis team spent 9 hours total with me in 2 days. This may sound excessive to some, but I assure you, not one moment did I feel pushed or like I was being used to tricked. When I left the dealership I felt that I made a great choice, that I got a great deal, and that I was treated fairly and respectfully. That's a tall order for a dealership to fill when a single woman comes in to negotiate for herself. I got great warranties, and service on my car. THEY filled the tank TWICE at no cost to me. Once when they gave it to me overnight as a loaner and then topped it off AGAIN before I drove it off the lot as my very own. Their attention to detail is fantastic, and I won't be going anywhere else for the service on my Santa Fe other than Jim Ellis . When my friends, family,students, or co-workers talk about buying a new car, I am recommending them here. When the time comes for me to buy another car, I'll be purchasing it at Jim Ellis Hyundai.

We just purchased a new Hyundai Elantra after 2 months of maintenance issues and the unfortunate demise of my previous car, and was over the entire process of looking for a new car almost before it started. Needing to make a decision quickly, and with the intention of comparing Hyundai to another make and model, we stopped in at Jim Ellis to test drive the Elantra. Bill Morrow was up front with us from the beginning about what we could expect with regards to comparison between the cars we were looking at, and what he would and could do for us, both as part of the dealership and personally, in helping us to come to our own decision. He told us about the car, explained the options, took us for a test drive (and a harrowing but effective brake test!), answered all of our questions, and without any pressure to buy, we left with the promise that he wouldnt be following us up or harassing us by phone on our decision, but would be available to answer any questions we had and would follow up with us by email in a couple of days. As it turned out, he never had the chance to initiate that email, but true to his word, was available to answer all of our questions day and night, both on duty and off, and worked hard to get us in the car we wanted for a price we could afford. When it came time to close the deal, we had a short window to complete the paperwork and pick up the car, and Bill worked with us over the phone on his time off to line up the paperwork and the car that needed to be brought over from another dealership, came in to work several hours early on his wedding anniversary, and even picked us up from the MARTA station, doing everything in his power to get us in the car and on our way in a timely manner, always with a smile and literally at a dead run. Bill Morrows service - on duty and off, above and beyond the call of duty, and his integrity were unparalleled throughout the entire process, and are rarely found anywhere in the service industry these days. In fact, the quote on the other car we were considering was considerably less, but couldn't imagine better service or warranty than we received from Bill and Ellis team with the Elantra that we ultimately purchased. I would purchase my next car from Bill and Jim Ellis Hyundai without hesitation.

Darryl Baxter from Jim Ellis was the only one that gave me that price right out of the gate. Jim Ellis didn't have the particular car I was looking for so Darryl found the car I was looking for and had it transferred without requiring a deposit. Again, the only one to even offer. One dealer actually tried to hold the car on their lot hostage saying they were the only one with that particular car. Multiple competing General Managers eventually ended up calling me, a few saying they can't stand losing to Jim Ellis, that alone speaks volumes. I'm sure because it happens all too often. They gave their best price but even then they were $700 off the mark. So I went to close the deal Saturday (1-12-13) expecting them to try for more money during financing. Hau-B had us in and out in 10 minutes and never once tried to push anything extra. Everything was offered but with absolutely no pressure. The drive off the lot price quoted was the exact amount I paid, down to the cent. The interest rate was exactly as quoted. Every T was crossed and every I was dotted, every question answered and very quickly. Darryl apologized for the process taking so long even though I couldn't imagine how it could have went faster or smoother. I couldn't have hoped for a better transaction or experience. I'm sold for life and not just because the car came with a free lifetime warranty but because I was treated with respect and met with uncommon integrity. Darryl Baxter is the real deal, straight up. I will recommend Jim Ellis to all my friends and before you make your decision you owe it to yourself to at least give them an opportunity to earn your business, they definitely earned mine. Oh, in case you're wondering we couldn't be happier with our Sonata.

I was very pleased with the customer service that I received at the Hyundai dealership, in particular from Martel Williams who worked with me. Martel was extremely helpful in answering all my questions, providing information and a comparision between the vehicles I was looking at, and when I decided to test drive the Sonata, he took the time to walk me around the car and explained every feature of the car in detail to me. I was impressed with the amount of knowledge he had about the vehicles, and his upbeat and friendly attitude made me feel welcome at the dealership and was one of the main reasons I decided to purchase a car through the Hyundai dealership. Looking for a new Elantra and taking advantage of a trip to Atlanta last Friday, I stopped in at Jim Ellis Hyundai. Even without an appointment I was seen quickly by Don Wood, an organized, professional and friendly salesman. While they didn't have my preferred color choice in stock, Don showed me my 'second choice' and I took it for a test drive. It was a great experience. Don made sure I understood all of the features of the car and went through all of the options. We reached a really good deal on the price and I put down a deposit to hold it to the next day as I still hoped to find my preferred color. I did find exactly what I was looking for the next day so let Don know I wouldn't be taking the car after all, but if I hadn't found exactly what I was looking for, I would have been back on Saturday to complete the purchase. I found everyone very pleasant and great to work with and would definitely have bought my car from them if they had had what I wanted when I visited. Thank you, Don.

I generally don't like the experience of purchasing a neew car so I did as much up front as I could via the internet before I stepped on the lot. I sent out bid requests from three local dealers. Jim Ellis Hyundai respected my privacy and my requests to cut all the high pressure B.S. They gave me choices and when i did come to the lot they were open and honest. They worked hard to get the maximum for my trade and to maximize all incentives. Their in house warranties plus the factory warranties made it an easy choice; the other Hyundai dealers in the area weren't even close, not to mention their oboxious, high pressure sales hype immediately turned me off. If you are in the market for a new Hyundai I highly recommend you give give Jim Ellis Hyundai's internet department a call.

I just purchased a 2012 Hyundai Elantra from Jim Ellis Hyundai. Its been some time since Ive purchased a car, and was not looking forward to the hustle and bustle of the process. In December, I came into Jim Ellis Hyundai looking for my new car, I sucked up what I had left in me to look at a final dealership and there I found myself meeting with a salesperson. Having been through this process 100 times in the past few weeks, I was expecting the same ol skit, the same olattitude and the same ol disappointment Little did I know how impress I would be walking away from Jim Ellis Hyundai with my new car. I am currently reading a book called The Fred Factor. Its management style book on how normal people can turn ordinary into the extraordinary by simply having passion and caring about going above and beyond for their customers each and every day. I experienced nothing short of a Fred while purchasing my new car. To keep the privacy of the name of my sales guy, Ill just refer to him as Fred It only seems fitting. Fred greeted me with such enthusiasm, not the fake kind you encounter when someone is sales hungry, but a genuine smile that was warm and welcoming. This immediately put all my anxiety aside and I was excited again about looking for my new car. Fred sat me at his desk and went over exactly what was important to me, he asked me what I liked, what I didnt like, what I wanted VS. what I needed, he was very helpful in helping me decide precisely what would fit my needs. Fred offered me something to drink, coffee actually, because I mentioned how tired I was, and even made it exactly like I drank it. Fred then drove around a car that we talked about and allowed me to test drive it.The Test Drive: Fred took me to an area that was not very busy so I would be able to test out the new vehicle without worrying about traffic, stop lights etc.. Before we took off he was so kind as to tell me exactly what everything was, how it worked and how it would benefit me.. Fred was serious about me understanding the ins and outs of the car! My prior test drives at other dealers were quick and I left with so many questions, Fred made sure all my questions were answered. Theres a quote in this book I am reading, The way you move through life joyfully and successfully is by focusing on what you give rather than on what you get. Fred was not focused on anything other than helping me, really helping me. When we arrived back at the dealership, I was greeted a handful of times by other sales guys, just saying hello, they were also busy helping other people, but they all waived and said hello in passing, they were all so welcoming wow!! Fred then sat me down again, he overcame my objections and was not pushing me to buy a car at all!! Fred wanted what was best for me, not for him Needless to say, I bought my 2012 Elantra from Fred because he really narrowed down exactly what I wanted, I did not feel pressured and the customer service throughout Jim Ellis Hyundai was one I had not experienced in a very long time.I cant say enough about this team of men and women and have since referred four people to them -- they all have the same great things to say. Having lived in Atlanta all of my life, I used Jim Ellis Volkswagen service department for my VW back in the mid1970s. Ive grown up hearing the name, but I now understand why the dealership has been around for so many years.In October of 2011, my wife had an accident that totaled her older model Volvo. Shortly after the incident, her mother passed away, so she was not in a frame of mind to do much car shopping. Entrusting me to find her the best replacement, I chose to buy a Hyundai. The manufacturer has an unbeatable warranty and impressive safety offerings. After test driving a Genesis, my wife and I were both sold on the car, but we were determined to buy it wisely. Learning the different features and options of each model, I visited every Hyundai Dealership in Greater Atlanta. I also searched Autotrader.com and Overstock.com on a daily basis. If the right opportunity came along, I was prepared to purchase a car out of state. I wanted a Genesis with a V-6 engine, plus a technology package and the lowest possible mileagea combination that was not easy to find. During the process, I encountered a number of bait and switch situations in which dealerships posted photos and prices that did not match the vehicles they had to sell. A general manager of one well-known local dealership attempted to raise the price of a car I test drove by overcharging for a few add-ons. In contrast, Wes Ellis, General Manager of Jim Ellis, went out of his way to earn my trust. Convincing me that he would find the right car at the right price, I stopped searching and let Wes and salesman Raul Sanchez put their expertise to work. They finally found a 2011 V-6 Genesis with a tech package out of state, and we came to an agreement. That was in January of 2012. The car arrived in immaculate condition, and Wes added on a few extras at no charge. Immediately after I signed the contract, Wes made a congratulatory announcement over the dealership's intercom as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for my business. Additionally, the purchase was a surprise to my wife (she believed I was still searching for a car), so Wes and Raul offered to accompany me home to amplify the surprise and give my wife a tutorial on how to operate all of the gadgets! Raul patiently spent a good hour going through all of the technology.My daughter will soon be ready for a car, and I cannot imagine buying it from any other dealership.Jim Ellis has always operated with the motto, "Expect the Best." I wasnt so certain I could expect the best from a car salesman, but I learned that Wes Ellis and his dealership, deliver on that promise.If you are looking to buy a Hyundai, take the time to meet the good people of Jim Ellis Hyundai on Peachtree Industrial Blvd.

My experience with the dealership on Peach tree Industrial Blvd in Atlanta was dreadfully horrible. After coming to terms with the sales person (we choose our car on a visit, I told the sales person of the financing I can get from my Credit Union, and the price I was willing to pay) over the phone after visiting their sales lot, I drove over to the dealership to seal the deal. Since the dealership offered a lower rate than my CU, I told them I would use their financing. I filled out all of the paperwork in my first 1/2 hour there. Then waited for another 45 minutes for the credit office to bring me into their office. I signed all of the forms, then the credit person gave me the finance papers and my percentage rate was 1.24% higher than quoted, and .24% higher than my CU offered. When I objected to the changed rate, the credit manager asked if I would sign if the rate was reduced to equal what the CU offered.If that's not bait and switch, I don't know what is. Be very careful when dealing with these folks. Read every detail carefully because the final paperwork may not match what you were told.I left the office and asked the credit person to make sure my signed paperwork was destroyed. He tried to convince me that he could meet my CU interest rate. I wouldn't do business with these folks on a bet! Beware!!

I went down to Jim Ellis looking for a used 2011 Genesis.(passing two other Hyundai dealerships on the way) They had two that I liked and made a great deal on one of them. The deal went quick and was handled very professionally. They have had great follow up after the sale and are very nice to work with. I had to take my car in today for a minor service issue. It was handled within an hour and I was on my way with repair done. Turns out the service folks are professionals also and very accommadating. BTW, I traded in an S430 Benz. No more $300 services!

Don't feel any long distance negotiation you enter into with this organization will be handled in good faith. I made an offer on an automobile that should have been countered quickly. It wasn't. They sat on it long enough to fish for another offer. This may be a common practice, I don't know. But it isn't the way a reputable dealership conducts business. Find other sources for your automotive needs.
