I recently purchased a vehicle form this dealer. Before I drove over an hour one way to the dealership, I spoke to two different salesmen. I indicated what truck I was interested in along with what I would be trading in (I was honest and upfront about the condition of my trade-in). With that being said, I also understand that the dealership would need to inspect the trade-in themselves. I told them where I wanted to be as far as final cost (including trade-in) and monthly payments. They felt it would be possible, but again, needed to see the trade-in, understandably. Once I got there, the original salesman wasn't even at that location, and referred me to another salesperson (Gabriella Gougler). She seemed nice. But before I could even look at the truck, I had to go through several questions with her and explained what my original conversation was with the other sale rep.. Finally, she came back with some numbers. Their price was firm, the trade- in offer was a joke, only about half of what other dealers were offering. It was actually insulting. Of course I turned it down. She said she would see if they could do better and was gone for another 15 min. She came back and said that was the best they could do. I said no way and started leaving. My wife however wanted to talk to the person who made that decision. So Gabriella went to the other end of the building ??? to get him. (not the same place she was disappearing to before for 10 to 15 minutes at a time) The Sales Manager "Louie" came out and talked to me. (Very nice man and one of the persons I originally spoke to.) At this point I was very discouraged and felt that I had been wasting my time. However after talking to Louie, he went to bat for me and got me a compretable trade-in value compared to other dealers. So I purchased the truck. A day or two went by and I had a couple questions about my purchase, including obtaining a second key (it only came with one). So I called Gabriella Gougler and left a message. She never returned my calls. I tried emailing her, also got no response. Guess once you leave the dealership, your on your own. Because of the agrivation (spent over 3 hours - a lot of it waiting around, along with the money game and especially the fact that once the purchase was made, the sales dept. doesn't follow up on any communications that you may have, I would Not buy another vehicle from this dealership!

Liked my salesperson, Jason as well as other staff I came in contact with. Sales manager that came over to close the deal, did not much care for him, felt like he talked down to me and my wife. I agreed to buy car because the price was good enough not to bother starting over with another dealer.

I found a 2014 Mini Countryman online and was interested, but I live in Cleveland (2.5 hours away). I emailed the dealership who immediately responded back to me. I told them my concerns- buying a car from out of state, not being able to test drive it, having the old cliche happen "Oh man, we just sold that car!". Adding to my anxiety over the issue, my wife would be the one driving out to pick up the car. None of my concerns had merit. The dealership was a pleasure to work with. First up- Paula called and walked me through the preliminaries- bang up job without being overly pushy. Lou was the next person I dealt with- friendly and accommodating (went through the effort of sending me a bunch of additional pics of the vehicle to make me more confident in the vehicle) and working with me to hold the vehicle so the 2.5 drive wouldn't be a waste.When my wife finally made the trip out there, she was treated with courtesy and respect by all she dealt with, specifically Isaac but also Lou. The car was exactly as advertised (arguably better since the original pictures the dealership posted didn't do it justice) and we purchased the vehicle. One specific thing I want to mention is that they took care of the little things that can make or break an experience. Example- they knew my wife had a long drive so rather than give her the customary 1/2 tank of gas, they filled the tank all of the way up so she wouldn't have to stop on the way home. They also made sure to send her out the door with a bottle of water for the long drive. All in all just a great experience!

Oh my I can't say enough good things about Jim Shorkey Ford. Upon entering the dealership, I was greeted warmly. Liz Drake was GREAT!!! She decided we would do the financials first, which was fine by me. That way I wouldn't get my hopes up for something I couldn't afford. Everything I selected was no longer available so I left a little bummed. The next day I got a call from Brad Knauff that assured me they could find me something, and they did. Brad is perfect for this job. I never felt pressured to buy. He and Liz took the time to find out exactly what my needs were and I appreciate them for that. The next day I went to purchase my vehicle. Justin Thompson was very thorough and professional during the paperwork portion of the sale. This by far had been the BEST VEHICLE BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!I have and I will recommend Shorkey to any and everybody. I will never purchase a vehicle anywhere else. Shorkey had a customer for life.

I was at lease end of my F150, and in the market for a new Fusion. After working with Alex Cole for an hour we agreed on a price and what equipment I wanted. They then asked what my exact wants were with color and wheel package and chased the car half way across the state for me... I told them that it really didn't matter but in their words "What would make you happy". So got the exact car I wanted and they beat everyone else price wise. Highly Recommended!!!!

I had been to various dealers before going to Jim Shorkey Ford in McKeesport. I knew exactly what I wanted but no other dealer had the color or something just wasn't right. I also had financial issues which I knew would not be pleasant and I was very worried about being approved and I needed a vehicle immediately. Our salesman, Frank Mediate was kind and very personable. We were comfortable with Frank and one thing he did not do is try to push us into something different than what we came for. We were impressed with the entire team that did their very best to get me into a car that I really had my heart set on and the most important issue was a payment I could manage. After the deal was closed Frank invited me back with the car and offered to help me out with the "high tech" fun stuff. I will take him up on his offer............Great Experience!

I was having a hard time deciding on weather to by new, used or even leasing options. Brad Knauff was very helpful and took the time to explain all the car buying options as well as how leasing worked. After listening to my needs and showing me all my options I decided a used car would be the best fit for my needs. After finding the car I wanted he went above and beyond by bringing it to where I worked for me to look over on my lunch break on his day off I will also mention. Jim Shorkey Ford in McKeesport did a wonderful job of putting my truck deal together. Katie Morcheid did a great job of keeping me informed, but making me comfortable while I was working through a buying process that I dragged on for almost a year! Alex Cole then very patiently showed me the vehicles that I was looking for, plus some others that I might want to compare. Then, when I decided on the perfect F-150, he expedited the installation of the accessories that I wanted and had the truck ready for delivery in only two days! This was certainly not the easiest sale they have had, as I was trading in two vehicles and I am a former car dealer! Great job for all involved! Thank You!

When I came into the dealership I was really only there to look around and get a feel for the brand itself. I was looking to get into a brand new vehicle on a budget and they made that happen for me. I still did not get it for a week though I was told it would be ready a couple times. They were getting it "ready" for me and I was told it would be just like new with all the recalls done and new inspection. They did deliver it to my house but when they came they only had one key to give me! When Im asked about it I was told used cars do not have all the bells and whistles! It cost $235 to have a new kew made! And it leaks oil on the street! They had this vehicle in their garage for over a week and knew about these issues and did not tell me. Do not trust these people.

I Bought a used vehicle from Joe - Great Salesman - the car was not on the lot when I arrived, but he took the time to track it down and we went to look at it. No issues - financing was quickly approved, paperwork signed and keys in hand - out the door, the entire process took.. maybe 4 hours - There was an open Recall - Joe made arrangements to have the car picked up at my home, and dropped back off, no lost time for me.. Even Better.- Now... It's been about a month since I bought, - and my Sister in Law Still has not received her referral check. I called, twice -- and no return call - She now tells me that I am third person that she has referred to Shorkey - and she as NOT received 1 referral check from them -

Met with Chris Connor and found someone who was willing to listen to what I was looking for and was patient enough while I changed focus mid way thro8ugh and still found me a vehicle that matched both my wants and finances!! She did not waste any of my time trying to sell me something else, and I went home with an excellent deal! Good enough that I brought my girlfriend in 48 hours later and bought another car from Chris!! The manager Pete came over and introduced himself and even had a suggestion for a vehicle as we talked. I appreciated his research and taking the time to see if there was anything he could do to help the process. All in all, I was very pleased with how I was treated, listened to, and helped by Chris and the others. A very happy experience and a dealer and salesperson I can recommend.

We had 4 used cars in mind from Cars.com from 3 of the Shorkey dealerships; went to 4 DIFFERENT dealerships could not locate any of them. The salesman tried his hardest to help us but the organization and cooperation of the different dealership was minimal. Thought it was a great idea that one salesman could go to the other lots between the Shorkey dealerships,but not when he can't find cars and/or keys of other potential vehicles I was NOT a happy camper. I had the printouts from Cars.com with the car number and all the specs (colors, photos, age mileage...) to help locate the cars and the salesperson pull the car inventory to also help find the 4 cars I preferred. He gave it a 100% effort, which is the ONLY reason we stayed and DIDN"T leave. How can a dealership NOT know what cars are on their lots? How can a company have no idea where FOUR cars are to be located? Shorkey better seriously rethink their used car inventory and management! OKAY, believe it or not we found a car that fit our expectations, it was a car that I had seen when I was doing my used car searches and passes over - but it caught our eye and we liked it! So with more problems and issues that day, we still decided to purchase this SUV.....4 hours of running around. Again we stayed cause we honestly thought the salesman was sincere and we just as frustated as we were (he was new so we were more patient and gave him the learnng curve). So we go to the dealership to pick-up our new "used" SUV and the car is cleaned & ready to go....get in sign papers and go. NO!!! We were at the dealership another 3 hours! They didn't have the paperwork ready, our salesman had to go to various dealerships to TRY to find the title. I was evetually told that they do not do the paparwork until the buyer shows up to "purchase " the car. Keep in mind I had given them a nice big non-refundable deposit - why wouldn't i show up? So apparently their customers time isnt valuable, because it was us that got up and asked why is it taken so long? I spoke to a few of the co-workers at Shorkey, they were nice and helpful but I/we had to ask what was the hold-up plus they could tell we were getting more & more irritated. We were getting ready to leave when our salesman came back w/o the title. Again he seemed just as frustrated as we were so we decided to stay and let him workout the details. In the end the dealership took more money off the sales price and put on the charm. We felt better leaving the dealership with a new (used) car that we REALLY liked. When we left the dealership we had asked for a few follow-ups to some concerns, we have yet to hear back from them! We had the car for 24 hours and called and left a message with another 1 or 2 concerns, we have yet to get a return call. I think we have called maybe 5 times in two weeks. So we have broken promises too. We have a car that we were handed two keys, only one key works the ignition who has 1 key for their car? We were told that we would be contacted for a follow-up service call (didnt happen). Now we wonder did they do our paperwork correctlyremember they couldnt find the car title. We love th car, but we will not go back or recommend Shorkey to no one! So it is said a good thing is told to 10 people and bad makes it to 100 that apparently was before intranet.

Driving home after the purchase of a used truck, I noticed the steering wheel shaking. This continued for a few miles then stoped. I called the dealership and was told someone would call me back. (Didn't happen) The problem was a brake line which caused the caliper to stick which heated the brakes so much it melted the hubcap off the truck. After replacing the brake line, pads and rotor $377.95. I contacted the dealership again and was told they would call me back, again didn't happen until I called again the next day and was told they were not going to do anything. The dealership put a new PA inspection sticker on this truck on June 6 (purchased June 18). If this happened some time after purchase then I understand but it was sold like this. It seems that when I left the lot and they got their money I meant nothing. Even if they covered half my cost to repair what should have been fixed before selling the truck. It appears they just stuck the inspection sticker on and washed the truck and sold it. If the interstate was closer to the dealership I may have found this during my test drive.

I went in to Jim Shorky Ford on a Monday afternoon, I made an appointment with Chris for 3:30 and when I arrived she was busy and I was helped by Justin who was relatively new. He was a nice enough guy but didn't know anything about the Ford Explorer, which is what I was interested in, we had to figure out how to start it. After that Liz took over the sales process, she was nice and seemed to try to get me what I wanted for my trade. The whole sale process took 4 1/2 hours and at one point I asked her if she would help my set up my phone in the vehicle before I left and she said sure. There was a small scratch in the clear coat that I noticed during the test drive, even though the vehicle was really dirty. She made sure that was taken care of when they cleaned it up. When the vehicle was done and delivered it had gotten dark and Justin put my plate on and I left. I was almost 2/3 the way home when I realized I had no lights on after being flashed by others. I then realized that I didn't know how to turn them on so I had to find a place to pull over and find the switch. I had driven Chevrolets for a long time and never had to turn lights on. The next day I received an email from Liz congratulating me on my new Explorer purchase and it said if I had any questions to call her or reply to the email. I tried to call her twice but was told that she was with a customer so I replied to the email. I wrote that I needed to find a shorter antenna because mine hit the garage opening every time I pull in or out. I then sent another email to her a while later about the headlight situation and mentioned that I had heard lot of bad things about the tires Ford puts on the Explorer Limited. There was no response to either of these emails or 2 others that I sent to Justin or Anthony and again I tried to call but could get no one on the phone, They were either busy or not in so I pretty much gave up. After 4 days I received an email from FordQuickTouchatresearchhq.com requesting me to take a survey about my buying experience at Jim Shorky Ford. First off my name was spelled wrong in the letter heading and after no responses for 4 days I let them have it. I figured if they wanted a good review they should have made an effort to earn one. Absolutely no attention to detail here at all. I found time to was the vehicle the following weekend and found numerous paint defects, there were 3 places on the hood that did not shine like the rest and was noticeable. There was a small area on top of the passenger side fender that had discoloration in the paint, it was almost see through. I called and asked for the body shop and talked to man named Duane and made an appointment to meet with him that afternoon. He looked at the vehicle and agreed that they were factory defects and asked at the desk what he should do. The fender problem is under the clear coat and requires repainting the fender, this Explorer Limited has less that 150 miles on it and it requires paint. They said he would have to take pictures and send them to Ford for a decision, I thought, are you kidding me. Duane was a really good service provider and has a great attitude and attention to detail towards the customer. He called me back to tell me that Ford gave him permission the repair my defects and would call me back in a couple days to schedule the time to bring it in. During this time I received the official Ford survey to complete which I did and being that I was upset about the vehicle and the dealership I told the truth just like it happened. I received another call from Duane and he said Ford would let him fix my defects but that I would not be provided with a loaner car because they don't provide them for things like this. I received a call from Jim Shorky 3 and he said he would personally take care of everything and made arrangements with me to do this. The arrangements he made were a joke and everything was wrong. The problem starts at the top!

First let me say that the salesman I dealt with, Doug was awesome from start to finish. The vice president of sales, Pete, on the other hand was not so pleasant to deal with. He had a horrible attitude. I had a vehicle that I was planning on trading in if we were going to make a deal. I informed Doug that if my vehicle was to be test driven for the trade in process that I would be inside the vehicle or it wouldn't happen. He said no problem at all, we'll honor your request. He then told Pete about my request and Pete went on to say "why do you feel the need to be in your vehicle? Our techs are qualified... blah, blah, blah." To which I responded with "Well Pete are you going to hand me a set of keys to a truck on your lot and let me drive off by myself?" And he stated "No, that would be against company policy." I replied "well my policy is that truck is in my name and if someone is going to drive it, I will be inside it... if you have a problem with that we don't have a deal and you'll never see me again." He reluctantly backed down and said that he was not trying to be a smart-a$$. Following my test drive in the potential new vehicle and my ride-along during the test drive of my then current vehicle, Doug and I sat down to go over the financials. This all happened on a Wednesday evening. I went home to make my decision and returned Thursday with some money to put down so that the vehicle could be held until Saturday morning when I would have time to do the paperwork. I made my appointment for 9:15am and was assured several times that everything would be ready to go and I would be out of there in an hour or less. I arrived at the dealership at 9:00am Saturday morning. Doug greeted me at the door and said that he had got everything to the finance guy and that it shouldn't be long until we could sit down to do paperwork. I stood around until 10:30am waiting to be called over to do paperwork. I was starting to get a little irritated because I was assured several times that it would not take all day. Finally, at 11:15am I got called over to do paperwork. When I got called over to do paperwork, NONE of the forms were filled out. What in the world had the finance guy been doing for the last 2+ hours? Not a clue. So we get started doing the paperwork and the finance guy asks me to sign a BLANK power of attorney form. Are you kidding me??? I stated that I would not sign the form unless it was filled out to which his response was "well we have people at the dealership in North Huntingdon that fill out these papers after they are signed. This is a convenience thing so that if we make a mistake we have the authority to sign your name to fix the problem." He tried several times to get me to sign the form saying that it would be in my best interest. I did not end up signing the form and we finally moved on. The paperwork was a nightmare from start to finish. They hardly had any of the forms filled out so I'm not really sure what took him 2+ hours to get everything together. I was the only person in the dealership and had filled out all of the forms for the credit app on Wednesday evening. Moral of the story, unless this place has an unbeatable deal (only reason I bought a vehicle here) do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I will be taking my vehicle to a different ford dealer for service. Doug was awesome, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. He went above and beyond and answered any question that I had to the best of his ability. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership, and I will never recommend them to anyone. I've also attempted to reach the general manager several times to no avail. No one ever seems to know where he is or when he'll be back. He must have forgotten the password for his voicemail box as well, because my messages have gone unanswered for 2 weeks now. I've been promised several times that he would call me back but he never has.
