I went in looking to make the change from a coup to an SUV and it was a pleasure with this dealership. Corissa was new to sales but made every effort to make me feel comfortable and answer all of my questions. Scott worked with us to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle and noticed a split on the front tire, without hesitation they replaced both tires immediately. I would say that the best part of my experience was that at no point did I feel like I was getting ripped off or taken advantage of -- which is extremely uncommon when car shopping. For a no pressure and fair shopping experience I would recommend this dealership.

The dealership had a lot of new and older cars to choice from. Eric was very helpful and informative, made the car buying process easy! I was able to trade in my car and get into a 2018 Tiguan. I love my new car and this dealership truly puts the customers first!

My wife and I recently bought a Tiguan from Joe Heidt. The process was seamless with fantastic support from our sales rep, Dylan. He was professional, educational, and helped guide us through our first purchase. we would highly recommend using Joe Heidt.

My experience with Dylan on the sales team was absolutely amazing. Dylan is knowledgeable, prompt and just all around helpful - he answered all questions and provided all the details even on what I didn’t think to ask ;-)! We are incredibly happy with our purchase (made in June 2021). If you are in the area, looking for a VW, definitely reach out to Dylan.

My car spent three weeks in and out of the shop getting repair after repair as each time I left, problems were not resolved. They comped some of the work, for which I added a star, despite the sloppy mechanical work. The other problem was the incredible lack of communication with me about my car. My car was in the shop for 14 consecutive days, and instead of calling me each time the wrong part was ordered or the mechanic ran behind, I had to continuously call them to get any update about when my car would be done. I will not be returning here for any service.

I have leased and serviced three cars from this dealership, a CC, a Jetta and a Tiguan. Every time I have to visit for anything big or small, I get the best service. Kind, respectful, understanding and professional. The entire team is great, my most recent fantastic experience came from Dennis!Highly recommend you give them a chance, I know I will not be visiting another dealership or service center anytime soon!

From the personable welcome;through negotiations; to delivery of car - Alfredo was a pleasure to deal with. Attentive and knowledgeable, he even worked with me on his day off! Very pleased with the deal he worked out with the Scott, the manager. This dealership is lucky to have such a great salesperson and because of him an extremely satisfied and happy customer.

The people at Joe Heidt VW really know how to take care of their customers. Scott and Juan in sales took good care of me when I purchased a certified pre-owned car.Mike in finance made sure that I got a great loan rate and got the right amount of extra warranty on the car.Joe in service couldn't be any nicer. My car had an issue with a wear part that was technically "out of warranty"; however, the dealership took care of this cost as I have only had the car for a couple of months.I have dealt with a good number of car dealerships over the years and I never worked with a more honest, caring group of people then everyone at Joe Heidt VW.

I just leased my first car, which is typically known to be a stressful experience (especially for someone who knew almost nothing about cars). My experience at Joe Heidt VW, however, was as seamless as possible. I cannot thank Patrick Sorey and the staff at Joe Heidt for instantly welcoming me and guiding me towards the right direction. Patrick went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and shared his wealth of knowledge with me as he answered all of my questions. I could not have had a better experience in leasing my first car, and I look forward to being a Joe Heidt customer again in the future. Thank you Patrick and Joe Heidt VW for helping me start this next journey in my life ( as I am styling in a Jetta, of course!).

I saw the car of my dreams on a Saturday night in the lot of Joe Heidt.First thing Monday morning I called and asked to speak with a sales person...I was connected with Juan and two hours later the car was mine.Juan was as professional as one could ask for. Courteous, knowledgeable and real....I enjoyed buying a car from him very much......................Then Robert worked his magic on my trade in and I walked away from Joe Heidt a very happy customer. (and Robert was the reason I was there in the first place). I had stopped in one night at closing time and Robert greeted me and just seemed like the kind of guy I could trust, so when the time came to be a serious buyer I sought out his dealership as opposed to the 10 other VW I could have gone too. Both men made my experience a very nice one indeed.

I just returned from the most pleasant car leasing experience I could have imagined. Nick Kobryn was fantastic to work with -- professional and on top of everything. My husband and I left Joe Heidt VW with a great new car at a terrific price. We'll be definitely be back and referring friends in the meantime.

I recently went to Joe Heidt to have them look at the malfunctioning blower motor resistor (regulates the amount of air that blows through the AC) that was replace 15 months ago. I was told that the part was only under warranty for a year. Really?! The original part lasted for 6 years. Now I'm expected to replace it every year and a half? I was there from 8:30 -11:30 and in that time they didn't even look at the car. The car was never moved from the original parking spot I left it in. There were no adjustments to my seats/mirrors (which they always do when someone drives the car into the service bay) or the fan speed (to test it). After 2 1/2 hours I went to service to see what the delay was they said that is wasn't the blower motor resistor (which I paid $188- to have replaced, but another part that would cost $450 to replace. I know this is not the case as I had my car in service at another VW dealership 2 days earlier to replace tires and they diagnosed the issue as the blower motor resistor. But since Joe Heidt had replace the unit, they suggested I go back to them to remedy the issue. Upon leaving, they told me they washed my car (which they did not). Thus, they wasted my entire morning and tried to up sell me a service I didn't need. I bought my car from them and usually have my car serviced there but now wonder what else I was unnecessarily charged for in service. I will no longer be using their service (or lack there of). To bad for them since service is where they make their money. Perhaps they should call themselves Joe Heist!!

Mike did a great job in explaining everything as well as finding the best financing available. He also took the time to review what other banks were offering in my specific situation and over delivered on what he promised. I was very appreciative of how he handled customer service start to finish.Great work Mike. Thank you. MK7R

I have purched 3 vehicles from Joe Heidt in the past. #1 a 2008 Jetta certified pre owned #2 2008 Vw jetta certified pre owned #3 2012 VW Passat new. #1 I had very few problems with purchase. Service on the other hand. They told me the car was out of warranty. Yes, the original warranty not the extended warranty you get with the certified pre owned. I had to take it to Palasades VW in West Nyack NY. They told me "NO PROBLEM SIR, THIS IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY" #2 Same thing happened with service. On the Sales side, They sold me a car that was already sold. I then said I wanted that car and they said no. I had an executed contract so they wiggled and gave me another car that was an SE instead of the S and had 30,000 more miles then the original car I purchased. This car has been beat on. Have had many problems and had to take it to Palasades VW again....#3 Passat had 1 issue and never went back to Joe Heidt. So here we are at #4 spotted the ad for a Touareg, thought I would give them another shot since Palasades didn't have the car I wanted....and then BOOM John tried to ram this car down my throat. John used the old, just put a deposit down to hold the car. I did! What a mistake this was. It is now a few months later and still no refund. If you are thinking about purchasing the 2013 Touareg flint grey. (has around 14,000-15000 miles on it. Yet, it is listed in the ad saying 7800) (This is another deceptive trick they use to get you into the dealership) I wouldn't. This is the vehicle I was going to purchase. The car was driven by the owner who kept his dog in it. This car had so many scratches and dents on it and the back bumper had a tear in it. Not sure what else he had hit or what is wrong. They just painted over the problems, vaccumed the car and sprayed a scent into the car to try and hide the dog smell. I am sure they never changed the in cab air filter to reduce the smell. John kept saying it would be good as new. I don't see how this is possible!!! If, you do decide to purchase this vehicle. The last price I negotiated was $37,000. they have it listed for 39,900 or 39,999 just thought I would help out a fellow consumer. My Final Thoughts on this dealer: I would look at a different dealer, they overprice their cars and service is terrible.Bt the way, to be fair! I just got back my deposit after contacting my credit card company. The credit card company helped me through the process! GOOD LUCK consumers!UPDATE: Since, I first wrote this. The dealership has corrected their ad to state the actual MILAGE and has reduced the price of the car. This will look as though I was making this all up. I didn't realize the dealership get to see this review before it is posted. It takes a few weeks for this review to be posted. This allows the dealer to fix any problems.

I couldn't ask for a better experience. Rob M provided great service and answered all of my questions since I am new to purchasing/leasing a car. He was willing to listen to my concerns and worked with me accordingly. With the help of Rob M, I was able to get a great deal through the Recent Graduate Program on a 2014 VW Golf lease. The process was quick and painless: less than 1 hour! Rob M showed me my options out on the lot and let me test drive the 2014 VW Golf that I ended up signing off on. Regarding the paperwork with Finance, Mike was also a pleasure to work with. He followed-up very quickly and responded to my calls/emails promptly. Mike was willing to fax me a check-list of documents I needed to send him and went over my lease contract in detail and in a timely manner. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend Rob M at Joe Heidt dealership. As a matter of fact, I plan on going back after my 2014 VW Golf lease is over to lease another VW.

Rob was a great help on assisting me on finding a car for my taste and budget. Although I did not end up purchasing one due to a personal situation, he was very knowledgeable about the cars in their lot and very courteous and helpful. He tried everything and more with his manager to get me what I was looking for but at the end, it just wasn't possible for me to purchase one at that moment. I would definitely recommend others to go to this dealership for a car in future.Thank you!

I was in the market for a new or used VW Touareg and ended up at Joe Heidt Motors. I am not one for pushy sales associates,I like to browse. When I was ready to make a move I stumbled upon the best kept secret on the lot! His name is Robert Menguan. I felt like I was buying the car from a friend. He spent tones of time with me comparing the new and used SUVs on the lot. We went on more then one test drive so I could do a side by side comparisons. FYI his route for his test drives is amazing! I never felt rushed at any point throughout the entire experience. In short Robert is not a "car sales man" but more of a "concierge" ushering you through the process painlessly. I would, and will alway recommend Robert to all of my friends.

Traveling back home to Washington DC, I experienced a warning light issue with my 2012 Passat. I drove into Joe Heidt VW, unannounced, and asked if they could help at 12:05pm yesterday. From the very first gentleman I spoke with at the service desk, Joe Fallivene to the gentleman who delivered my car to me after it was checked out and fixed, Dennis Benedito, I was treated with top notch customer service. Mind you, I am not a customer of the dealership and they knew this and still managed to go over and above to help and get my car back to me in exactly 20 minutes and get me on the road back home!If that's not A1 Five Star service, nothing is. I would highly recommend doing business with these folks. It's situations like this that keep customers coming back! Great job and thank you!

My experience with Joe Heidt Motors and Patrick Sorey has been phenomenal. I've leased cars all my life, and I think this experience tops them all. Patrick spoke to us like a friend and really made sure we knew all ins and outs of the Jetta GLI. He was so sincere, very respectful and well versed in all the vehicles on the floor. Not at all pushy like I've experienced with others in the past, and he was so kind to offer his assistance, no matter how big or small, throughout the duration of my lease. I would for sure recommend calling or visiting him at this dealership if interested in buying or leasing a new car. We also worked with Mike DeNardo with financing and he too was a great employee - very calm, and knowledgeable in the work he was doing. A fantastic dealership with fantastic employees.

Absolutely do not use this dealer. Do yourself a big favor and avoid this dealership. If you ever have any contact with Tom the service manager, don't ever believe anything he says. He has no customer skills and will point blank lie to your face. My car was damaged by one of their backyard mechanics. The paint was chipped on the door and no one told me, and they were hoping that I didn't see it when leaving. The second rate paint shop that they use (Exclusive in Ramsey) left a noticeable difference in paint tone. Lousy paint job, lousy service from both. DON'T USE THEM !!

My experience with Joe Heidt dealership couldn't have been more pleasant and Juan Febres made everything go smoothly, all the while having fun too! My opinion of car dealers has completely changed due to the honestly and professionalism of Juan and the other guys at Joe Heidt. I recommended Juan to my friend two weeks after I bought my car and she purchased one as well. Who would hav thought buying a car could be fun? But rest assured, you will be taken care of for all your car needs if you purchase at this dealership. They are the best!

Bought a Jetta in May for my daughter, and returned in Jan to buy another for ourselves. The dealers here are so helpful to work with and make the experience so easy. It is sometimes hard to find good customer service, so we recommend you try Joe Heidt Motors Corp. They set the bar high and give excellent attention to your needs.

These two gentleman should be fired for there disrespectful treatment of a customer. I will never darken your dealer doorway again nor will anyone I know shop there. These two, especially Thomas Carrino have no place in the customer service chain. RUDE and ACCUSITORY of customer. You should be ashamed to have them in your employ. VW headquarters has been notified.

Juan exceeded any expectations I had for the service at Joe Heidt Motors. Not only was he insightful and knowledgable, he was HONEST. After purchasing three brand new vw's the same week from joe heidt from a couple nice salesmen. We have started servicing there because of the maintenance plan. But after telling us the window settings have been changed on one car cause the glass to scratch is insane. They took advantage to the fact that my girl friend went in. I am a technician flr another dealer i know that is a lie.then the general manager told her to go somewhere else. We bought 2 new 13' cc's and a jetta and will never go back here thanks to their service department

Purchased a 2005 VW Jetta certified used vehicle. It took a week for them to deliver car due to repairs still needing to be done. They decide at purchase time to raise price of car (1,000.00) for muffler repair when I didn't even have the car. Juan (sales) first told me it was for bank application then said it was for muffler repair. After having the car about 2-3 weeks the car was still broken. Brought it back in, and they kept it close to 3 weeks. The repairs were not done properly. Car is still broken, and now EcP light is on, meaning a electrical problem in the engine. Spoke to John Campo (service manager). He is very unprofessional to say the least. Yells at you on the phone and stated he didn't care about the repairs that were not done correctly. Stated that the 1,000.00 we over-paid on the sale of the vehicle was for the muffler and someone had to pay for it. Fowl language on the phone as well and hung up on. We have an extended warranty as well that was not credited back for the original warranty purchased with car, as per John Campo. Never received a 114 point inspection as in big poster at service dept. When we received the car, the locks did not work, the back window opened by itself, the license plate light had to be purchased by me, it was out and I had to install it. the front light was fogged, never repaired. The brakes were not right. Told John Campo (service manager) and he said they were fine, he drove it himself. Now they are squeeling. Paint has major deformity on driver side. John campo said he fixed it and buffed it out. Looked good for about an hour because they put wax on it. Once dried up it is even worse, with rub marks on it. The trunk stopped latching too. How do you stay in business, or have the conscience to do this to a person. They know I am a Active Christian whom needs this vehicle to help others, to get to my doctor's appt's because I am disabled. If I bring it to another dealership I will be charged the deductible from the extended warranty and I live very modestly. This was all original problems with the car and they know it. Just want what is right. I contacted the BBB and now will be in contact with the Attorney General's office as well. I am also contacting the banking commission and whom ever else is necessary. What's right is right and they should learn not to do this to people. There are so many other sites as well with complaints. I wish I would have seen this before I purchased from them

I purchased a new 2013 vw passat sel tdi everything went well. A mistake was made by then taking my car i use off the road both new car & old car had wrong plates. Mistake are possible but the way they handled it was a horrible. It took the 7 days to straighten it out. The reg came on the 7th day with out a phone call to see if we were home man just came to door with registration. They knew nothing about the mix up till I contacted them and I never had such bad dealings with a vw dealer before I could still be driving with wrong plates on car and one of the cars was not registered. So you can guess what would happened if police pulled you over.

Purchased new Jetta at the end of May at this dealership. Tiny dent on hood was found on day of pickup. Had to schedule a time to bring in vehicle for repair. Dealership had my car for over 2 weeks. Probably would have been longer if I didn't keep calling to inquire about it. Fast forward to mid-August. Noticed water leaking into the car after going through car wash on passenger side floor and backseat floor area. Called dealership immediately to schedule a repair to avoid a rain storm and more car flooding. Service department did not have a loaner car for me to use. No time frame for one and nothing I can do about. NO car rental offer....no nothing. Offered a ride home. No thanks. Decided to call Palisades VW to get repair fixed. Extremely accommodating! took vehicle the next day. They did not have a loaner car available either but set my wife up with a car at Enterprise free of charge! DID NOT get this offer at this dealership. Needless to say I will not be doing any future service work at this dealership. DONE. Its Palisades for me from now on.

Chrys Kenney has continually provided the highest level of customer service for my first Volkswagen purchase. Every time I walk into the dealership for warranty work or servicing, Chrys has the same smile and proper customer service attitude, always paying attention to my concerns and attending to my vehicle with eagerness to resolve the issue. Chrys has always greeted me with individual attention and goes above and beyond to explain what is being performed on my vehicle and keeps me updated. I have recommended several times that Chrys be promoted for his constant attention to detail and positive customer focused attitude.

I just leased my 3rd Touareg from Joe Heidt. The car is great, a good a great deal and on top of all that I received exceptionell service from Juan Febres. From the beginning he made me feel welcome, was never pushy to close the deal and took care of every little detail. Of course you could argue, that he is only doing his job, but go and experience it for yourself and you will see that he is doing so much more.

So....one morning my 2006 Jetta (purchased at Joe Heidt) doesn't start due to a dead battery. I call AAA. They come and I ask them if they can replace it. The AAA tech tells me the battery is OK and can be jumped but something is draining the battery and I should have it checked. Off to JH we go. We explain to John the service advisor what we were told by AAA. He says they'll take care of it and we leave the car. We get a ride home from Spiros the JH driver who is a wonderful guy. Later that day JH calls and says "it's the battery that needs replacing, nothing is draining it". I reply OK...pick up the car and give JH $179. The next morning the new battery is dead. Back to Joe Heidt I go. After a day and half JH calls and tell me a problem with the door harness causing the drain. I give the OK to repair. Later that day I pick up the car and give JH $428. I ask John about the first $179. He says "I can't help you, you'll have to see the service manager tomorrow.I go back the next day. I speak with James Walker, service manager, about refunding some of the initial visit cost. He says "not going to happen, the battery had to be replaced". He then dismissed me to a gopher named Chris to show me a copy ot the tests they ran that indicated "replace the battery". Duh! I reminded Chris about the AAA techs original comment...his reply was "he doesn't work for VW so he wouldn't know anything". Apparently, based on his original diagnosis, he knew more than the JH techs that didn't find anything. This is not the first time I've had issues with JH. They're absolutely the worst customer service team I've dealt with. They're rude, dismissive, condescending, etc. I went back because they are convenient to get to. Next time I'll go the extra distance and go to Jack Daniels or some other VW dealer.PS: I recently had some transmission work done locally on the Jetta and the mechanic warned me about JH service....I should have listened!!

3 years ago when I leased my 1st VW, this dealership was a pleasure to work with. This time around, it was the opposite of a pleasure. I waited almost a month to get my car after I was told it was ready and available on the lot. I was given the run-around as to where my car was, why it was taking so long, and the reason of the delay. I was repeatedly told I would receive a call back 'within the next hour'.... and after waiting 4 or 5 hours on several occasions, I would have to take the iniative and call the dealership back again in which case I would never get the person I wanted to speak with on the phone. When my car was finally available and ready, I received a text message telling me to come pick it up... a text, really?!?! I was never once apologized to for anything until the end when I met with the manager, Scott. He was the one that got things done for me, and I appreciated his help. Now, 3 months later, I have a new car issue that I would like to discuss and I have now left 3 messages in the past week for the above manager to call me back. What is the problem here???? I have no intentions of recommending this dealership to anyone.

I was shopping for a 2013 Passat. As a long time VW owner, I knew what I wanted.I emailed three dealers in my area. One dealer responded with an automated email response that answered nothing, so I crossed them off my list. Another dealer was good at following up so I visited and test drove a vehicle. However, their pricing was a bit above what the Internet suggested was a good price. Next I contacted Joe Heidt VW in Ramsey. I quickly received a detailed response from Paul Dunn. We arranged a meeting at the dealer. When I arrived, Paul had the car waiting and offered me a test drive. The car was great. Once we returned from the test drive, we sat down to discuss price. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Paul was quick to get to a price that the Internet indicated was a very good price, and his price was much better than I had received from the other dealer. Within an hour of entering the dealership, I had test driven the car, negotiated the price, and had the contract drawn up. Super easy.Since the car I was seeking was a rare color combination, Joe Heidt VW did not have that car on its lot. Paul informed me of this early in our discussions but assured me that he could get the vehicle through a dealer swap. The car arrived several days later just as Paul had promised and the purchase was completed.Paul is not your stereotypical car salesman. He is polite, well mannered, easy to talk to, and most importantly service oriented. If you've ever shopped at Nordstrom, then you'll understand true customer service, and that's what Paul delivered.

I have always been pleased with the service I from Scott Bisig at Joe H VW. However, Mr.Paul Dunn's professionalism and ability to get to the bottom of the situation quickly exceeded my expectations. Such a commitment to great customer service is to be commended. You can be sure that I will continue to do business with Joe Heidt Motors Inc for years to come. Sincerely, R Diaz

Youssef is our favorite salesperson. We bought 3 cars from him already, always the best price around. Very professional and quick to deal with, no bs whatsoever. The new finance manager Mike is awesome, he did a great job and made sure everything was explained very thoroughly.

I want to thank Mr. Joe Heidt and its sales staff for the courtesies that were extended to me over the last couple of weeks. The Sales Staff went the extra mile to make sure that I was pleased with my acquisition of my 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo.Paul, who worked with me through the Sale & Chase, who worked on securing the VW model, Color and requested accessories would make me enjoy my new Beetle Turbo even more than the 2010 VW New Beetle that had come to the end of its Lease. Also, Chris, what a fantastic professional guy!My new Turbo sure attracts a lot of positive attention. Hopefully, this will translate to more sales for the Joe Heidt Volkswagen dealership. Ask for Paul Dunn in Sales, he's the best.Joe Heidt Volkswagen puts the "fun" back into automobile buying. And better yet, you can trust Joe Heidt Volkswagen Dealership.

I have chosen to give JOE HEIDT MOTORS and salesperson JUAN FEBRES such a great review, because since buying my new car they have answered all my concerns regarding the vehicle in addition to the attention they offered me before buying the the vehicle. Also in the past I used to own a Passat and on my way to work I would used their service department and was very pleased with their service.I believe I will continue to buy and recommend this dealership now and in the future.

This experience I have encountered at Joe Heidt was very enjoyable. Buying a new car these days can be a very stressful event, but these guys at Joe Heidt Motors left me feeling extremely satisfied. I chose to secure financing on my own and it proved to be a troubling decision. But Juan Febres stepped up to the challenge and dealt with my financial institution and I was able to take delivery of my new Jetta when it was convenient for me. Juan Febres made me feel like I was his number one priority from the very start of our encounter. Hats off to Mr. Febres and all the guys at Joe Heidt Motors.

I bought a used Jetta last year and promised FREE can/jar of white retouch paint. I stopped many times and told it was not in stock. I picked up title a few months later and asked them to mail the paint to me as I don't live close to this dealer and was NOT told that would be an issue. I was never notified about the status for my paint. Today I called and was told they had the paint but never bothered to mail it or notify me. I asked them to mail it to me today and got a lot of lies about paint being hazardous and not mailable. The postage to mail a 3 ounce box is $1.64 and I verified with usps that their is absolutely no restriction for mailing a small tube of retouch paint. What this dealer did was wrong and their customer service or should I say lack of service is BAD. If the dealerships goal was to make a satisfied customer mad have me tell my friends and associates to NOT buy anything from Joe Heidt VW then they have succeeded.

Very slothful performance when it comes to providing full details regarding financing and aiding the customer with post-purchase paperwork e.g., for insurance companies. I would highly recommend buying/leasing your car from another VW dealer.

I am writing to report a situation that could lead to a serious accident and bodily harm to me and my wife because of the policies at Joe Heidt Volkswagen. My son and I have been customers for many years and I am now in a position of what could be lethal danger to my family and me because of the car I recently took delivery on - a 2012 Passat. In November, 2011 I leased a new 2012 Passat from Youssef. Immediately, the new Passat had accelerator-transmission problems. In stop-and-go traffic, about 1 out of 10 times that I step on the accelerator there is no response. Nothing. Zero. The motor does not respond, the car does not move or pick up speed. The way I have been handling the problem is to floor the gas pedal and hold my breath until the car decides to respond and lurches forward heavily. Those seconds can be life-threatening, as when there is oncoming traffic and you are turning right on red or trying to cross an intersection in heavy traffic. Several visits and two check ups to Joe Heidt revealed that "Everything is fine. We changed a bad light bulb." After several more visits, I finally persuaded Youssef and Scott, the sales manager that it is too dangerous to continue driving the car - and I certainly can not allow my wife to drive it! Today, Friday, 8/24/12, (Youssef on vacation) the sales manager said that he would take my car back in exchange for a new one, and that, as far as finances are concerned, "it will be a wash", and that monthly payments would increase from $330 to $370. He suggested I take the new car, a CC, for a test drive to see how I liked it because Joe Heidt is having a sale on the CC. So far, so good, right? A satisfied customer, the danger assuaged, the problem solved and the danger of the non-responding accelerator removed. After the test drive when I got back to the dealership and sat down with him again, the deal had suddenly changed. Now it was $379 ($50 more a month than I am paying), and I was told there would also be a $1,000 down payment. "What happened to the "wash"? I wanted to know. "What happened to the "$370 per month?"As we talked, the sales manager Scott said that he drives a Passat and has never had this trouble. I guess that means that it is impossible for one car to be different from another of the same model!I consider this to be the kind of shoddy "used car salesman" tactic that I thought was long gone from reputable dealerships. At the end, I walked out in anger. Now, unless I am willing to pay more than I can afford, I am stuck driving a car that could, in the wrong circumstances, be the cause of serious injury or death to me or my family. That's why I do not recommend buying a car from Joe Heidt!

I purchase the new Jetta S model and I was told that I will get free sunroof, somehow the company who installed the sunroof made a worse I ever seen , even the Scot the manager says that it would be original if you bought he car for us today.I returned the car recently because I was not happy at all, and they help to change to SE model in this case there are more friendly ,and on other hand they used me to pay extra 3000$ for loosing of S model, it was not fair because was not my mistake and promise .I will not recommend not even one VW dealership in Ramsey, NJ. It is not the sales it is a manager and the person who give you the credit , only those are problem always.Prestige is Number one for all vehicle in that area.Sorry

I go back to the Jerks they repair the Valve Body Free, Im happy thinking I got a deal!!! Not Even 3 Months later, the car starts to jerk again I go to Jerks and now they tell me the transmission needs to be replaced... I was ASSURED by a transmission specialist that this did not just happen that IF they dropped the Valve Body in OCT they KNEW the Pump in the TRANS was faulty and just did nothing about it, now there telling me its going to be $5K to repair it because ITS not Covered ALTHOUGH I was told by Yolanda at 800-822-8987 VW Cust Care that the trans would be covered for 7 years 100K Miles and I only have 86K miles on my CARBetter Business Bureau Here I come!!!I would NEVER BUY another VW and I advise U to Think 3 times b4 stepping Foot on the grounds at Joe Heidt Motors on Rt 17 in Ramsey, NJ

Recently I found my self in the market for a new car for my mother. I had decided to check out VW's because of the excellent safety and fuel economy ratings. I live near RT17 which as many of you know is loaded with car dealers from one end to the next. After visiting a few stores I had come across Joe Heidt VW. Upon entering I was greeted by one of the sales managers, Scott, he was very helpful in finding me a salesman to go on a test drive and answer my questions. The salesman, Michael Denardo, had vast product knowledge and answered all my questions in a professional and helpful manner. After visiting all the other dealers on 17 I can honestly say this place was different. The family feel and charismatic staff was a refreshing change after talking to some of the other robo-salesman in the area. Even the general manager James took the time to come over and say hello. I'll definitely be buying a VW before the sign and drive promotion ends and there's no question that I'll be buying it from Joe Heidt VW. If anyone's looking for a comfortable buying experience this place is it!

Michael and Scott were great from the initial "Hello". Made me feel comfortable making a decision on a new brand and dealership to trust. Their chemistry with each other was refreshing, seemed like they were actually friends and co workers. I want a dealership to be friendly like that. Thanks very much for everything.

I would like to commend Joe Heidt Volkswagen for their amazing sales and customer service. I tend to be an online shopper and discussed the prices I found with a JH salesman named Juan. I told Juan I wanted to stop in at lunch to test drive a 2011 GTI then discuss prices later over the phone (time constraint). I showed up and Juan was outside waiting with the keys in hand. From there he earned my business, we wrapped up the sale within a week and still to this day, when I come through the door for service, Juan always goes out of his way to ask me how the car is. On the service side things have been even better. I'm infatuated with my car and always want to make sure all technical service bulletins or small issues are repaired right away for safety and care. Chrys from the service department always goes out of his way to get me scheduled as soon as possible for any of my concerns. Since I am heavily involved with online Volkswagen forums and blogs, I tend to discuss technical details with Chrys. He always takes the time to find the answer, verify part numbers and discuss the issues that happened at great length. I've never had such great customer service anywhere. Between Juan and Chrys, I don't know how anyone can ever have a bad customer service experience when looking for a Volkswagen. People rarely take the time out of their day to commend the good aspects of car dealerships but I believe they deserve a bonus or reward for their continued level of customer care.

The service at joe heidt is amazing. They are all so friendly. I went to get an oil change and they noticed I had a bubble on my tire and replaced it for me. I worked with Chrys the service writer he took the time to go over everything that was done to the car and the even found a recall that was open on my car. All of that took about 2 hours and was done while I waited. I will tell all my friends about this place. Thanks again!!

We leased a car from them in March. The car has had problems, leaky trunk, tail-light issues. The problem I have is that there service center is unresponsive, and their hours are bad, and the overall customer service is poor. Here is an example. The DO NOT do service on Saturdays. Oil changes only. So you have to drop off the car at their location on Rt. 17. They claim to have a shuttle bus. But it only runs in the mornings. So picking up the car (which is not near public transport) is a huge pain. In the past, the dealerships we have dealt with have all had weekend hours, and loaners. So essentially, anytime you have a problem with your car (and apparently, if our experience is any indication, you will - this is the second service issue in the first SIX months of ownership), be prepared to take time off work, and arrange a ride with somebody to go pick up your car. Very frustrating, and not what they indicated when we bought the car. I am now unhappily awaiting the end of my lease, and will not transact with them again.

This is by far the best dealership I have ever done business with. Upon walking in I had a great feeling about the place. Everyone there was extremely friendly and relaxed. I told Patrick Sorey the Salesman who was helping me, exactly what I needed from a car and the price I was able to pay. With his knowledgeable expertise on cars and his gracious demeanor, I trusted he would find me the right car, and he did-that day. Adam the General Manager was the other gentleman who helped me, he made buying a used car a pleasant experience by his honesty and down to earth nature. From sales to the parts and service department everyone has been courteous, polite and customer service oriented. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a car. Volkswagen's are a great product and Joe Heidt Volkswagen delivers these great machines with integrity.

I wanted to pass along my sincere thanks for the service my car (the bugger) received from your dealership.I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of discovering that Joe Heidt Motors has never lost site of the value of Customer Service, and not just in terms of doing excellent work on vehicle repairs, but on all other aspects of motor vehicle maintenance and upkeep. All employees of Joe Heidt Motors do their professional duties with such a great attitude and kindness, that you feel like you are being treated like royalty. In particular, I want to thank James and Chris for their kindness and consideration in helping to keep my Bugger in tip top condition. They are so professional, and yet so accommodating that I know that I will never need to look for another auto dealership again. Joe Heidt Motors is a dealership where honesty, service, pride in workmanship, and customer satisfaction/ appreciation are still the Hallmark of their business. I have recommended Joe Heidt Motors to several people who were looking to purchase new vehicles, so they can also discover what a pleasure buying a car can and should be. I also want everyone to know that working with a service department can be a wonderful, and pleasant experience. The service employees are determined and hard working employees that take pride in their job. Chris, in service, always greets you with a smile and makes your experience always as pleasant as can be. He is very professional in explaining exactly how the technicians will determine the problem and how they will fix it. I always feel very informed on what is going on with my bugger and know it is in good hands in the shop. No matter what the issue they are all determined to find it and fix it.Please keep up the great work and the positive attitude and superior customer service! I look forward to many more years of splendid car buying experience and great service work with Joe Heidt Motors.

Carl is the Internet Sales Lead at Joe Heidt Motors. I was actively pursuing the purchase of a 2010 leftover with specific features, and had found a number of them in dealers inventories as far away as Maryland, but none close by in my area of South Jersey. I did, however, find one in the inventory at Joe Heidt VW, which is still agreat distance away from me, but, at least still in my own state.I was able to contact and negotiate with Carl over the internet, without the need for hard back and forth negotiations, and, quite frankly the "I've got to talk to manager" stuff that happens when you are live in the showroom. Since this was not my first negotiation using email, I thought I'd get the normal blow-off, where no one actually expects the buyer to come through (hey, you're not a warm body in the showroom if you're a nameless, faceless stranger over the internet), but Carl did something so usual, something I had not seen from ANY other dealer. Carl emailed a personalized video, introducing himself, and providing a real response to my offer, NOT some canned video that goes to everyone. Boy was I impressed by the response, but, not initially by the offer. However, we continued to negotiate over email, and, in a short time, even while I was negotiating with other dealers via the internet, Carl made me an offer that was exactly what I was looking for. I placed a deposit that day over the phone, and since we couldn't actually get to the dealership for another 5 days, and, based on past experience buying cars in general, we really expected something to fall through before we actually got there. So, the day we were supposed to make the LONG trip there, Carl called to tell us some bad news (I knew it was too good to be true)...During detail of the car, the shop found some scuff marks on the rear bumper, and have not been able to get them removed. Carl sent me a number of pictures of the scuff so that I could see the extent of the problem. They offered me an option to pick up the car another day after it could be repaired (again, I was thinking that the deal wasn't going to happen), or they could try to arrange to have it repaired somewhere closer to my home. Either way, we were still interested in buying the car, so, I told them to do the best they could, and we'll be on our way up, and decide once we get there. Scott, Carl's manager, told me that he'll have the bumper (its just a cover), swapped with another of the same color on his lot. Since it was a 2.5-3 hour drive up, they had plenty of time to make the switch. When we arrived, the car was PERFECT! Not a thing wrong with it. The only thing that was crazy was the number of customers and the lack of parking due to the number of cars on their lot, and the number of customers in the store at the time. Wow! Who says no one is buying cars? This dealership is very small, but they were also very busy. This, unfortunately, did not provide us with as much time as we would have liked to get to know Carl and Scott more, but we're glad they were busy with sales and not just uninvolved salespeople. Chase, the finance manager was prepared, and performed his job very well, and, even though we felt somewhat "rushed" out of the dealership, our deal was complete, and we were happy buyers. What more could a dealership ask for? The only thing missing was our owners manual, which Carl is planning to fedex to us shortly. All in all, we had a great experience with this dealership. We're too far away to be back for service, although I could understand other reviewers complaints about the service department due to its small size. I'll be working with my local VW dealership for service and the such, but, in the future, I won't hesitate to make the long drive again to North Jersey if the salespeople at Joe Heidt are going to be honest and work with me on the very best deal, as they have this time. There aren't too many dealerships I'd say this about, but I would certainly provide repeat business to them, even if just to match a price. My only suggestion to the dealership: The person that answers the main phone line needs to speak slower. There is no reason to jumble all the words together so that it makes to sense to the caller.

I gave Joe Heidt a great review because I was very impressed with their service. I had never bought a car before so I was very nervous and stressed out about it. Robert Glavotsky was the salesman who helped me when I went into VW Ramsey. He definitely helped me become less stressed about my decisions and he never pressured me into buying which was great! He was very knowlegeable about the cars so he was able to point me in the right direction to the car that was best for me. Not only did he know everything about the cars but he was very nice and patient with me while I was searching for the perfect car. If you are interested in a Vollkswagen and are looking for outstanding service I would highly recommend going to see Robert Glavotsky at Joe Heidt Motors in Ramsey NJ.

My salesman Carl Jenkins and the sales manager were great to deal with. The dealership was pretty busy so it did take a lot more time to test drive and work out the deal but it was certainly acceptable. I have now purchased 3 Jettas and a CC from them.

My wife recently purchased a VW from Joe heidt Volkswagen. We went there because they are conveniently located on Rt 17 and because they have been there for over 50 years,To my surprise it was an exceptional car buying experience. Never pushy, never rushing me, salesman was able to locate the exact car she wanted cheaper than Jack Daniels. I like when car dealers do everything they say they will do and pat really came through. I never felt pressured and he never had to go in the back and check with his manager.a;; pricing was up front and we discussed all aspects of the sale. If you are in the market for a Volkswagen I would definitely recommend this dealer. The car delivery experience was awesome as well. He explained every feature of the car and never rushed her.

For the past 5 or more weeks, I've been attempting to get my auto dealer to correctly and capably repair a defective part -- a Bluetooth module in my car's radio/navigation system that often drops my Bluetooth pairing. In the best of caases, it would work about 75% of the time. My dealer is Joe Heidt VW in Ramsey, NJ. I'm thinking of nominating their Service Department for medical research because I've grown accustomed to them being 'the missing link'. This story goes back nearly to my purchase of the car when this started, because it was evident quickly, so of course I took the car in to be checked at the one-month or so mark. Service barely looked at it before concluding "everything's fine, we aren't experiencing a problem". So I took a different route and swapped out my phone to prove the point. Then they decided to investigate as they should have originally by applying their diagnostic tools. Lo and behold, they could locate the issue after all, which meant they needed to order the part.Three weeks elapse and I hear nothing. So I call to find out what's happening, and I'm told the part should be in by Tuesday of the following week, so I'm ready to arrange an appointment for Thursday. Again, no news. So again, I call."Oh, we're sorry, your part still isn't here, we're overnighting it, we should have it here by Tuesday." So I schedule my appointment for Friday, and arrange to drop the car off so that they have it overnight and can do all their work. The following day, I still hear nothing until -- yet again -- I call at nearly 5PM."Oh, they shipped us the wrong part, we're so sorry, but stop by and we'll have a loaner car available for you." So I pick up my loaner - a so-so mini SUV called a Tiguan that at 6,000 miles had seen more ass than a typical rental car, and it had the dings and cloth stains to prove it. Once again, I wait through the weekend until Monday when -- you guessed it -- I'd heard nothing and was forced to call. "Oh, sorry, I thought we called, everything's done, come pick up your car anytime before 8PM." This I need to see, since it's been more than 5 weeks now, so I return their loaner, pick up my car after hours, and am happy to get my car home. It does not so much as recognize our phones, much less even try to pair them. We stop, we fiddle, we attempt to make them work to no avail. So I call Joe Heidt VW and ask for their General Manager because, by this point, I'm simply ticked off by incompetence. After asking for the General Manager, I get the "Sales Manager" who spends no less than three-minutes explaining how he's willing to listen to me while I vainly attempt to get a word in edgewise. Only when I asked him how he could possibly be listening when he hasn't shut up for three minutes did he finally let me explain the situation...to no avail.

They lie and cheat and I couldnt believe that the Owner actually condons it! I would never use that dealership again. I am searching for another VW right now. I work 5 mins from this dealer and I am going to buy my car elsewhere even if it is inconvenient. They treated me awful!! And amazingly enough my last Beetle had a 50,000/ 5 yr warranty on it and they kept saying they were servicing it but it never was really fixed until the warrantee was almost up. They got their moneys worth out of my warranty company!!! But the car spent more time in the shop than on the road for the first 5 years. Can you imagine??? My car battery went completely dead and had to be towed to the dealer. Joe the Service Manager said it was my fault because I didnt lock the doors in my driveway and the car had to work so hard all night long to protect itself that it killed the battery ????? what kind of NONSENSE is that???????????? Is the car alive??? sis it know it was unlocked??? WTF??? That is just one example - everytime I went there I got some bull crap excuse for the bad service..NEVER, NEVER GO THERE FOR ANYTHING!!!

I enjoyed the service, the staff was very personable and my overall experience was plesant. The only negative aspect is the length of time that I was kept waiting to fill out the necessary paperwork to walk out the door with the car. The car is phenominal and I hope to continue my good experience with them in the future.

I have had nothing but AWESOME experience from Joe Heidt Motors. I have had mutiple questions regarding my 2002 Jetta answered, even with advice for servicing and keep-up which has helped a great deal. Another awesome thing about this dealer is I can be kept up-to-date on the latest deals and cars coming out over FACEBOOK. Now thats awesome. I would highly recommend this dealer to any and all of my friends, in fact i already have! Can't wait to get my next Volkswagen from Joe Heidt Motors!

This dealership was great! When I revealed my budget and wishlist I was shown exactly what would be reasonable for me and was very pleased with the results. The delivery was quick and I was very happy with the presentation and the final product. They have a very friendly staff that got right to the point and was very accomadating. I am very happy with my experience and have been back to purchase my 3rd vehicle.

For as long as I have been a VW owner, I would always go to Jack Daniels for the service of my cars. Their service was always standard at best, nothing out of the ordinary that left me saying, "Wow, that was really convenient" or "easy". One day, however, I went to take the wheels/tires off of my GTI only to discover that my wheels had wheel locks on them and that I was missing the proper key to remove them. I thought it would be simple enough to call Jack Daniels up and have them match the key to my locks and take them off for me and have me order the correct key for future instances. I called them up and to my frustration they wanted me to set an appointment for three days later to have a service technician look at the car and size up the locks. This was a task that even I knew should not have taken more than 5 minutes and in no way required an appointment by a service tech. The car in question was/is my daily driver and I since I was changing the brakes on it myself (that were no longer safe to drive) I needed to get those wheel locks off in order to put new put operable ones on. Needless to say I wanted to complete that task as quickly as possible so that I could resume driving my car for whatever I needed.Enter Joe Heidt Motors. After hanging up on the Jack Daniels personnel for trying to "reason" with me why it would be impossible to look at my wheel locks the day of, I decided to call up the next closest VW service center, Joe Heidt. Without any complication, they told me to just come in and they would take a look at my dilemma. The tech there found the working key for my locks and even went the extra mile to remove them and replace them with lugs that I could remove with a standard tool so that I could continue and finish my project and just put the locks back on after I ordered my missing key. I told him my experience with Jack Daniels and he agreed that the whole process was ridiculous for something so trivial as trial and error in matching up the different keys- Which of course did take him less time than I estimated over the phone with Jack Daniels. After thanking him, he gave me the information I needed to know to order the key for next time, and I was on my way. Since then, the friendly staff of Joe Heidt motors saw me revisit several times within the same week and following weeks thereafter. Whether it be to order a part or service my car, Joe Heidt is now the only place I go and trust with my beloved GTI. They truthfully make it so much easier to own a Volkswagen and make that experience even more joyous. They share the same enthusiasm for the cars they service or sell that an owner such as myself does. This IS a dealer I actually did leave thinking to myself "That was easy". I would recommend Joe Heidt motors to anyone looking for a personable, seamless service experience with no hassle or frustration. P.S. I couldn't help but catch some misleading reviews about certain employees at Joe Heidt. The first time I walked into Joe Heidt motors after running into my problem it was Carl that greeted me and assured me that someone would be willing to help me. He was real with me and totally involved/helpful despite it not being his problem. I have never bought a car from the man but that has not stopped him from being accessible or friendly in anyway. He continues to be a great guy to me every time I catch him there despite never having gained anything from me or my pocket.

I have been shopping and buying cars for years. This was my first time here and it was the best experience I have had in buying a new car. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure i was happy. From the moment I went in the door they wanted to help BUT were not overbearing like some dealers. I have also been to some dealers recently where it was tough to get anyone to even acknowledge your presence. A lot can be said for this dealer, but the simple thing to say is, go in and give them a try. you will be happy. Also, the VW is a great car.

I have been involved in the leasing and co-signing for 5 vehicles in my family within the last 5 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with this dealership. Carl Jenkins has been my salesman consistently for each purchase and has always been very helpful. When we call he remembers the members in my family right away and is very personal. I have never felt like he's trying to make a sale when I speak with him, instead that he's there to aid me with my purchase. The service department has also been amazing. I have even recommended this dealership to others who have had good experiences as well. Having 3 teenagers get their licences within a few years of eachother could have been a major financial burden yet this dealership gave us affordable options that satisfied the whole family. We travel a great distance to purchase our vehicles from this friendly dealership and will continue to. Thanks!!!

TERRIBLE. I can't stress how BAD my experience was here. I went with my father to look at cars. We stopped at this dealership (HUGE mistake) The salesman Manny, who has only been working for "4 weeks" gave us a good price on a lease for a 2010 Jetta. I wanted to also check out other dealerships. When we left there, Manny called my father, asking us politely to come back and negotiate. This seemed like a good idea at the time, because I had decided I wanted to go with a Volkswagen. Before we returned Manny and my father negotiated at a price and Manny said that would be the price we would pay. I can't stress how many times on the phone, and after we arrived back we went over the lease price and all of the other figures. I was having my mother co-sign with me and we were going to go pick the car up Monday. Monday came, and my mother called them in the morning to give her information. They faxed my father a form, in which my mother and I filled out for them to review and check her credit. Craig, in the finance department, called back in 5 minutes when Manny said it would take 30 minutes. Craig told my mother that it would not work, which we did not understand because my mother had good credit. They said they still had to 'prep' the car and it wouldn't be ready until the next day (Tuesday). So Today, (Tuesday) we faxed over my Step-father's information. No call back. My mother called and left a message. Two hours passed and still no call back. She called again and asked if he was there, whoever answered was going to give her a voicemail again and she said she already left a message and she would wait. Craig got on the phone and said he 'didn't get to it yet, but was going to check now.' She asked if he could call her cell phone and not my step father, because he is a football coach and he was on the field for practice. Craig so not a problem. Well, Craig ends up calling my step father anyway and telling him the credit part was good to go, but in order to do this, it would be another 20-30 dollars a more a month. Well, on Saturday night when my father and I went, we left them a 500 dollar deposit with the information stating it would be the agreed price. I just checked my bank statement and they cashed my check, AFTER everything that happened. I would never ever tell my WORST enemy to do business with anyone from this dealership. They are liars and crooks. You do expect this to some degree with dealerships, but this is the WORST by far. The only reason i rated the price at 1 was because I did not want to have their average to be any higher.

Same story: Carl Jenkins was non responsive until I said, "I'll be buying a car somewhere this week, call me if you want to sell a car." Finally he calls. I agree to come in only to find the car in the backlot, outside, covered in dirt with tall grass growing all around the car. It's like I'm looking at my Grandpa's '58' ride in the fields out back. I'm willing to overlook this though as I'm a patient man. Turns out I'm missing a paper for the clunkers application. This is a Saturday, so on Monday Carl calls to "express the urgency" of the situation regarding this paperwork. I have that morning already gone to the DMV, so I immediately fax him what he needs. I then leave a message to confirm he got it. No response until that evening when he calls to say he can't read the fax. Geez Carl, why did you wait so long to call me back? I thought this was "very urgent". Regardless, I head out to the street, find a copy place, and have a copy of the document scanned/emailed to him within 10 minutes of his late, but urgent call. I then again attempt to get confirmation, right then and there, that he got my email but he does not respond for 2 days (didn't he just urgently call me 10 mins ago?). When he finally does respond, he tells me he that he needs more DMV paperwork "URGENTLY", even though it took him two days to get back to me with any kind of confirmation that he got the first document. This basically keeps happening until finally, some days later, he tells me he has what he needs, except my car. Joe Heidt Motors wants to hold my car until the Govnmt gives them the clunkers rebate. I have a little girl who I take to daycare, I was actually moving homes that very week, and all of the other things one does with their car/family: giving them the car is a huge inconvenience for me, if they are not offering to sell me/give me the new car at the same time. But they are not offering that. They are only offering to hold my car. The Clunkers (CARS) program states explicitly that the dealer is to hand over the new car once they have possesion of the clunker and then wait for the government rebate. This is public information available to absolutely anyone in 2 minutes on the web. However, being extremely understanding, I recognize that there is a certain risk to them so I say sure, you can hold my car, but can you help me with a temp vehicle or rental or something? Anything? Nope. Nothing. They won't even talk about it. I have to ask, "will you at least drop me back at a train station??" I drop the car. Then I hear nothing for two weeks. Not even a peep. Finally Carl responds to me and says, I don't know anything, the internet keeps crashing. Finally, I decide I'm done. I'm about to give them $24,000 and they have done absolutely zero to sell this car to me. They never even once stated that the car was good, nice, or anything. They couldn't even be bothered to clean it up. Carl Jenkins in particular would respond to requests only at his leisure with half information. These are a bunch of guys who are too lazy to try and convince you to buy their car or, in my case, just keep me interested long enough to pay them. If Carl Jenkins had made even the most minimal effort to sell his car, he'd have sold it a week ago. These guys are a joke. You can drive 10 mins down the road to the following dealership, get the same car, and have a dealer who understands that you are about to part with thousands of dollars of your hard earned money. I was willing to give up a $4,500 Government rebate to NOT buy a car from Joe Heidt; that's pretty bad.Go to this dealer:Crestmont Volkswagen 730 Rte 23 NPompton Plains, NJ 07444(973) 839-4000

I called the head of internet services Carl Jenkins at this dealership. Obviously he knows that people are shopping through the internet these days. I asked him to send me information and he never did. Once he realized that I was probably not going to buy a car from him he was rude and offensive and didn't return my phone calls. I would never buy a car from this dealer if this is how they treat their customers and this is their HEAD of internet services. HORRENDOUS!!!!!!

This is the second time I've walked out of Joe Heidt when trying to purchase a vehicle. The first time was in 2000 and they still have the most inept group of salesmen I've ever been witness to.I sent an email requesting info about an Internet promotion they had. Salesperson Carl Jenkins quickly responded and asked to set up a time to come in to discuss in person. Fair enough. How about 6pm (they are open until 8pm) on Friday. I didn't hear back but went anyway.I walk in with wife and young daughter. No greeting. No Carl Jenkins. Two "salesmen" sitting at their desks and not getting up. Another salesman whining like a baby about a customer giving him a hard time on the phone. The "manager" took over the phone call because the salesman couldn't get it together. After several minutes of being ignored, I say out loud in the direction of the salesmen..."if anyone wants to sell a car to me today, I'll be outside." So we go walking around the lot to check out the cars. 10 minutes go by...no one comes out. I walk back to the dealership and it's the same pathetic scene.I urge anyone who is considering a VW to look elsewhere. This is the tackiest, classless sales team you've ever seen with a dumpy dealership to go along with it. STRIKE TWO for Joe Heidt. I will NEVER go back to buy a car from this dealership or from anyone that works there.

Almost Knocked this guy out. By the grace of god I calmed myself down enough to keep my clenched, shaking fist at my side. So here's what happened. I was looking at the r32 and really liked the car a lot. After the test drive we went inside to talk numbers. I said that my reason for coming in was to get a first look at the r32 and do some real thinking, but that I would probably be ready to pull the trigger on a deal within a week or so. He told me he could hold the car for a week with a refundable deposit of $200. Completely refundable, even gave me it in writing. Because I really liked the car, I figured I would go ahead and leave the deposit. Unfortunately a few days later I found out my fiance would need surgery and that our insurance would only cover about half of the money. I knew that I would no longer be able to buy a new car. I went in today (11/28/08) to get my $200 back. I see this guy standing there. I make it short and sweet and say that I simply want my money back. He starts asking me all types of pushy questions about why that is which i understood on a certain level, its his job. I say its really a personal issue and the sale is no longer under discussion and that I apologize. Then this guy brings the manager, and he starts getting pushy with me. I keep saying listen, i just want my money back and i dont have to explain myself. Greg gives me receipt for my refunded money and then tells me to get the f**k outa here and that I'm a prick for asking for my deposit back considering all the help he gave me and then tells me to f**k myself, all in front customers on the showroom floor. I was so shocked that I didnt know what to say. I just laughed in his face and walked out and call him an effing moron. He then follows me out, gets in my face and yells at me again. At this point Im yelling at the top of my lungs and I tell him that if he doesnt remove himself from my personal space immediatly or I will do so myself. He then turned around and went back inside. If you want to deal with pushy, arrogant, slimeball car salesman who wear cheap cologne and even cheaper suits, then this is your place. Just look out for your own health if you walk out and dont buy one of their cars, because apparently these guys like to engage in fisticuffs when this happens.

I can't believe the horrible dialog I overheard while trying to shop for a new car. There is this black? man in the Service Department who is obviously prejudice working there. A spanish salesman was stating how warm it was in the showroom, which was correct, so this black man had the nerve to say, "well, you're Puerto Rican, you should be able to handle the heat." If I worked there I would have been on the phone with the Labor Board. No one, including customers, should be subjected to talk of that nature. I will NOT buy a car there until that man is GONE. AND I will tell all my friends and neighbors in Upper Saddle River and the people in my church in Alpine to go elsewhere. I have purchased vehicles from Heidt in the past and even though I think the world of the "old" service department staff I will not deal with someone with no integrity.

Believe it or not, I had nothing but pleasant experiences with Joe Heidt. My 2003 Passat had a problem with the trunk lock. The lock would open while I was driving & I had to pull my car on the shoulder to keep my truck from flying open. Whenever I brought the car back (at least 5 times), before it was finally fixed properly, they were nothing but accommodating, helpful & polite. Ultimately they did fix the lock properly. Then on 6-21-06 I was rear-ended by a pick-up truck on a bridge. My car was declared totalled & I plan on buying a 2006 Jetta.

Couldn't fix a thing and when they realized it they wouldn't even reflect my complaints of report and would reflect 1 or 2 day services when they kept vehicle for 3 occasions 7days, 11 days and 4 days. Will sue for consumer fraud if lemon suit isn't settled expeditiously
