We live pretty far from this dealership, so when we found the vehicle we ended up purchasing at Joe Machen's, there were quite a few phone calls and emails back and forth with Adam before we decided to make the drive out. Adam answered all our questions and was very easy to deal with. We negotiated and agreed on a price (barring any unforeseen issues) over the phone. When we arrived at the dealership, the van we asked to look at was parked right out front for us to look at. When we asked one of the salesmen for Adam, he went and found him right away and he came right out to meet us. When I had questions, and was considering possibly looking at another vehicle, Adam didn't give us any static - he was there to help us. In the end, we ended up getting the vehicle we originally came out to look at, and couldn't be happier.

2 mins I want to thank my sales person Adam Hall for the excellent service he provided me with while purchasing my New Nissan Sentra. Adam was very personable, patient and courteous. He took all the necessary time to listen and answer all my questions. I experienced no pushy salesmanship, and Adam was very pleasant to deal with. Being an older person, i was overwhelmed by all the new electronic gadgets that all new cars now have. Adam spent a great amount of time helping me navigate and learn all about my new car. He very courteously and patiently went over with me every button and electronic gadget in the car, showing me what they do and how they work, from programming my GPS, to helping me connect my iphone via bluetooth to my car's phone capabilities. By this token, i would like to also thank the sales director Matt Stein, who helped us finalize a great deal. Yesterday, I had indeed a very pleasant experience trading in my "old and faithful" twelve-year-old Nissan Sentra, and driving back home in my lovely brand new Nissan Sentra. Thank you Adam for a job well done, and for all your patience.

This is my second time working with Adam Hall and all of my family uses him as well. On my first purchase I knew exactly what I wanted but this time around I had no idea. Adam was so patient with me as I drove everything from a Jeep Wrangler to the Camaro that I ultimately purchased. I will definitely be back to see Adam! To top it off I did my financing with Dan Do who was incredibly kind- he waited patiently while I had to run an errand in the middle of closing the deal. Two great guys to work with!

First off, John is the greatest! He's patient, caring and wants to be the best help he can be. In this situation, for me, leading a car is best and he explained the benefits of buying versus leasing, he took his time to show me some cars and was overall a huge help! Nick was incredibly helpful. I've delt with quite a few cars salesman at Jo Machens Ford, Mitsubishi, and Kia. My experience was not very great with them at all, but at Nissan, it was wonderful. My wife and I were interested in test driving trucks. At the time we knew we wanted a mid-size truck and just wanted to test drive some of our options around town. When we arrived, we were greeted by Todd and immediately offered water/beverage (it was 98+ outside). He let us test drive new Frontiers on the lot. When we mentioned we were interested in looking at used trucks, he sifted through inventory until he found a truck we were interested in. Caveat was that the truck was located at a different Machens dealership. Todd went to the other dealership and brought the truck to us. He actually did this with several trucks as we were interested in seeing multiple options. It was our first experience buying a new car and we both left the dealership feeling like a good deal was had by all and we werent pushed into anything we werent comfortable with. Id not only recommend Machens Nissan but I recommend working with Todd very professional, nice, and a pleasure to work with.

We wanted to trade in our armada for a newer version. I searched everywhere and not many dealerships were as helpful as they were here. I looked up the reviews and seen many great reviews for Aaron hall, so I called he listened, understood what I wanted and was able to find what we wanted. We live 2 hours away so we got there about 20 minutes after closing and and the service was fantastic. Aaron really kept our 2 kids entertained while we finished the financing portion. My family arrived to look at a used vehicle on a Saturday evening, not realizing the dealership had closed two hours earlier. The remaining staff was gracious and eager to help us even after hours. Adam Hall set us up to test drive the vehicle over the weekend and we were sold. I have never had such a positive and straightforward car buying experience. I feel we got a great deal on a nearly new vehicle. The whole process was less painful and faster than going to the grocery store. We went in not really intending to purchase but to refinance our current jeep but came out with a four year newer jeep and an awesome experience. Adam Hall and Dan Do really went to work for us. Our interest rate went way down and it saved us lots of money. We loved the fact too that we didn't have to go looking for affordable vehicles. They initially talked to us by phone and had their best deal waiting for us when we got there. I am disabled and use a scooter to get around in so on top of everything else we needed the receivers hitch taken from the original jeep and placed on the new one they not only scheduled it to be done the next day at our leisure but was ready for us as soon as we took it to them. They had this done in less then an hour. It was awesome with these guys and the dealership that our time was not wasted at any point. We hope to send others to experience this great dealership. New Years day we were out with the family just had lunch. My 15 year old son and I had been looking for used cars online, mainly craigslist. After about a year he finally narrowed the search to a specific car, years, and color.... Now all that at the right price was going to be tricky. We had found a couple of the cars on craigslist but they were sold every time we called. I looked at local dealerships for kicks and grins (but I knew they were higher in price). Low and behold the exact car, color and year was at Joe Machens Nissan. Wrong price.... To high.... So back to New Years Day after lunch we decided to show Mom and little brother the car we had been looking for and took them to Joe Machens Nissan. We were admiring the car, that's when we met Mike. Mike ask us some questions, I said I had found this car on the Joe Machens Nissan's website, but the price was not even close to Kelly Blue Book suggested retail price. He asked if we wanted to take it for a test drive, I knew my son wanted too. I told Mike, we aren't here to buy a car, but we would love to test drive it. We did, there was a noise, they took care of the noise within minutes. Mike asked if we could meet on the price would we commit today to buy..... I thought..... They were so far from KBB price there is no way. I looked at my wife, she reminded me that we had just prayed in the new year the night before and that we had specifically prayed that God would open up the right opportunity and give us wisdom and discernment. I initialed the paper Mike handed me, I told him if you can offer the KBB suggested retail price I would... He went away and came back a few minutes later and said it was a deal... I about fell over. My son couldn't believe what just took place and my wife again reminded me that God had answered our prayers... He always does, but not always that quickly. Mike was great and the day was amazing, many other things that happened while we were there that was only by the Grace of God. Again, it was truly an amazing experience, one that we will be sharing for many year to come.

Last night I purchased a car from the Joe Machens group of dealerships at their truck center on Bernadette Dr. I had a question about the transmission and opened a chat session on their web page since it was after business hours. The chat agent recorded my question and said someone would get back to me in the morning. I got an email and a phone call from Michael Hartgrove at Joe Machens Nissan this morning. Michael tried to answer my question but said the car was no longer on his lot. He asked several questions. "Did you buy the car?" I replied yes, we signed the papers and wrote a check. He asked what we paid and I told him the amount of $7200. He replied "I could have sold it to you for a lot less". I asked how much less and he replied $6800. I told Michael that I would discuss this with the other salesman that sold me the car. I was very disappointed with this level of service from a Joe Machens team member. I simply will never buy a vehicle from this business again.

Josh was very helpful with assisting me in finding a vehicle. I had began my search about a year ago and did not find anything I liked and he recently found a vehicle which fit me perfectly. This makes our 3rd Nissan Murano. James Williams is a very good salesperson. Makes the best deal he can to get what you want and extras if possible. We are from Hannibal, Mo. He has been our salesperson each time. The service department will work with you to their fullest and will fix the problem no matter how long it takes. Bought our first one in 2010.We went in for a tire rotation not to buy a knew car. I made an offer on a car sitting there and it went from there and we went home with a knew car.

My husband had driven a Nissan Altima as a rental and liked it. We've had great luck with our 2008 Nissan Quest, so went into the dealership on Sat., Dec. 19th ready to purchase. Came out three hours later with the car we wanted, a decent trade-in, and several good incentives on top of it. The whole process was pretty smooth - and entirely painless. Todd Kelley was our salesman, was very patient, helpful, and friendly. My only problem would have been that there were signs hanging everywhere - on every cubicle, front windows, etc., about a special holiday promotional - Mall gift card or a month's rent - but we were told it had expired already. Seemed strange there were so many signs up for an expired promo, felt sort of like a "bait and switch" tactic. The really bad thing is...I am still seeing the commercial regarding the same holiday promo on our local TV Station - Channel 8/NBC. If we received a different "special" in place of it, it wasn't fully explained to us. Other than the promo issue, our experience was great.

My wife and I were interested in a Nissan Murano and went to the Joe Machens dealership here in Columbia, Missouri. A salesman, Todd Kelly was standing outside the front door of the dealership and I asked him where to find a salesman that had been recommended by a friend. He stated that it was the salesman's day off. I asked him several questions and he told us he would be glad to show us the Murano. After about 15 minutes I asked him if he was a salesman and he said he was and glad to help answer questions since the salesman we asked for was not there. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable and polite. We were so impressed with him that we bought the car through him. He stated that since we mentioned the other salesman, he would share the commission with him. There was absolutely no pressure and Todd Kelly , being an x Service department mechanic, know everything about the Murano. GREAT CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE. I had done my internet homework and we agreed on the trade-in value of my present car and what it would cost me to buy the new car. We went into the Nissan dealership to purchase a used vehicle. The vehicle we decided on was a Ford Escape,which happened to be at the Machens Super Center across town. We asked the salesman if we could just ride over with him to the other car lot to see it so we could save time,we were told that was against policy that we had to stay at the Nissan lot till he brought the vehicle back,that took approx 30mins to go about 5 miles. After he came back with it and we test drove it we decided that we wanted it. We filled out the paper work and got approved for the loan. Then we had to sit and wait for about 4 hours for the business mgr to get the paper work ready for us to sign. We feel the least he could have done was to tell us it's going to be about 2-3 hours why don't you go have lunch and come back,every time we asked how much longer we were told he's just about done. Finally after we got into his office he was totally rude with us. The salesman we had was very friendly,but didn't make our experience any better. The salesman's name is Scott Glasgow and I would say if he worked at a different dealership I would recommend going to him. The business manager's name is Greg Marquis and I would definitely not recommend doing any kind of business with him. He should not be allowed to interact with the public at all. Therefore I would not recommend Joe Machens Nissan to anyone!

We test drove three cars and I picked the third. We were able to do it all in one place thanks to our sales representative. He got me a really good deal on a used 2015 Nissan Sentra that only had 2000 miles on it. The only thing that could have been better was how long it took to get the car detailed after I bought it. There were many delay's from start to finish. Overall it was an awesome experience for buying my first car. My parents, who accompanied me, said it was the best dealership they had ever worked with, and they have bought lots of cars. They are going to come back to Columbia to purchase their new car in a few months.

I normally do my business at another Joe machens, but this week I chose Nissan. I was in a rush to get my oil change so I made a appointment with Joes machens Nissan. The gentlemen who made my appt. was awesome (Michael) he found appt. right away for me. I had a friend drop my car off because I had to work, when I returned to pick up my car I was not greeted. The receptionist an some other car salemen's were all talking an I had to wait until she said "what can I do for you?" I told her "I was picking up my car. She found my keys an I asked her for a receipt. She said "I don't have it", I asked her was there a way she could get me one. She said "no!" My point is even thought she didn't have access to service because they were close, she could have gave me some opitions. " I can leave a note for someone, or I'm sorry I don't have access to that right now but..... You know.... customer service. I thought of could trust this place because you have some good employees that are family friends but I'm very big on customer service an expected good from you all, 4 employees of yours needs training on how to care for customers better. And it's not social hour at the receptionist desk, when you see customers approaching your surroundings greet them. If they don't feel like they have too then working at Joe Machens Nissan is not for them!

The car was exactly what we wanted but newer and nicer than I thought I could afford. As I was getting in I asked the price. The salesperson indicated that he wasn't sure but that his boss had said it would work out. Excited, I started the test drive and liked it even more. I really wanted this car by this time. When we sat down to talk numbers I found out the car was $5,000 over my budget and would be $100 over my monthly payment cap. Sure, I could have turned back at this point, but I went ahead and purchased the car. This would be my second car I have bought from James Williams my first car was a 2011 Nissan Maxima in the car that I just bought is a 2015 Altima SL! My husband & I stopped at Joe Machens Nissan on Labor Day with the intention of ONLY trying out all-wheel-drive vehicles to see if we might want one before winter arrives and our driveway hill becomes impossible to dig out in the snow. Before the day was done, we were taking home a Juke to try out for a few days. We were hooked! James Williams answered any questions we had, he worked with us to find the perfect Juke for us. We ended up with a snazzy Cayenne Red Nissan Juke! I am in love!!! This is the third Nissan we have purchased; the last two of them were from James Williams. He definitely knows his stuff!! Although James' day was overflowing with customers, he consistently made us feel as though we were his number one concern. His customer skills shine through. James Williams will forever be our "go to salesman". Mike Vanella was also superb with his management skills, leaving us no doubt to make up our minds to seal the deal! This Nonna is sold on Nissans!

I was very unhappy with the car I had at the time of my visit to Joe Machens Nissan. After talking with Zac at the dealership, he hooked me up with a Nissan Sentra that I fell in love with. Zac was easy to work with and was very considerate of my need to get a good deal. After test driving two Sentras, he encouraged me to take my favorite home and try it out. I knew when driving the car home, it was going to be mine. I really enjoyed the team of Zac, Mike, and Danh. They made the experience a great one with no sales pressure and explained the process as we went along. A few years ago I bought a brand new car from this Nissan dealership and my experience was absolutely horrible. I swore I would never return and didn't for several years. Then the completely redesigned 2014 Nissan Rogue came out and piqued my interest. I went into the dealership and met Ed who gave me a very positive impression of the dealership which is under new management. I test drove the car and fell in love. I decided to think about it and look for a used model but in two months the nearest one that fit my criteria was 1000 miles away. When the 2015 model came out a couple weeks ago, I went into the dealership to see if there were any changes and talked with Shawn (Ed was unavailable). He is very friendly and worked really hard to find me the car I wanted. I decided to purchase one that day and was impressed with how swiftly the deal came together. Even when there was miscommunication with a few details in the finance office, the issues were dealt with in a very professional way (thanks Greg!). Overall I am happy that I decided to give this dealership a second chance...because I love my car!

If I had read some of these reviews earlier I would have saved myself all the trouble. In a nutshell, I will recommend this dealership, but my advise is; stay away from some of these sales reps below...you are better off with JAMES WILLIAMS who happen to be the only "professionally trained" staff they have in Joe Machens Nissan CoMo.

Terrible Customer service.. we drove 2 hours to go and pick up our new vehicle that we spent a week on working a deal to arrive and be told that the Sales Manager assumed features on our trade in that were specifically not written on the trade in form. He didn't offer any other deals or anything just let us walk away. Not wanting to satisfy his customer by any means for a mistake the manager made not the customer. Would never recommend this dealership. We are going elsewhere with our service.

Being a paycheck-to-paycheck family living in a world where often the paychecks aren't enough to cover anything more than the basics, we've grown accustomed to hearing the word, "No." We desperately needed a vehicle that would not break us to try to keep fueled up in order to fulfill our daily commute from Fulton to Columbia...there was no putting it off. It had to be done. Jonathan Barfield helped us last year by analyzing our needs and our budget and our not-so-pretty financial picture and, much to our surprise, he got us into a car that exceeded our expectations then. It was a definite step up from our previous vehicle and it served us very well over the course of this past year. Then life threw another curveball, resulting in an increase in the amount of driving back and forth we would be doing in the not-too-distant future. Jonathan advised us well last year; he suggested that if we could maintain regular payments and take good care of the first car we bought from him that he would go to bat for us down the line if/when our needs may change. He made good on his word. From the moment I called him again, one year after our initial purchase, he treated us like we were old friends of his and he went to work right away...he stepped up to the plate without hesitation. We scheduled an appointment to see him, agreeing to review our needs and options. Following his advice, our credit scores improved over the past year and we went out to browse the lot while he made his calls. In the lot, my heart was set on a nice little newer used car that I thought might even be a little nicer than what we'd be eligible for financing but...go big or go home, right? So I put it out there and without skipping a beat, Jonathan said something along the lines of, "Yeah, that's definitely a nice little car...but I think I'd rather get you guys into something brand new." And from there, the ball kept rolling...a couple of visits to the lounge in wait for the final verdict later, we were sitting with Dan Do in the finance department before we took possession of our BRAND-NEW 2014 NISSAN SENTRA!! I'm a 40-something mom. I didn't think I'd ever own a brand-new car. I have to pinch myself every time I drive it or park it or even think about it! Thanks to Jonathan Barfield, we own our first brand-new car...a first for both my husband and me!Jonathan has followed up with us personally to make sure that we're happy and that all is well. Sometimes there just aren't enough "Thank you!"s to be said. This is one of those times. We have a son who will be driving next year and, without a hint of a doubt, when the time comes for our next vehicle purchase need, we'll go straight to Jonathan! I would send everybody I know to him to buy a car! He treated us with respect and friendship...characteristics that aren't often shown to those of us who are struggling to build good credit on limited resources. He's truly the best!

My fiancee and I both bought vehicles within the same week at this dealership. My fiancee already had financing so his experience went better than mine as far as financing goes but after we left the lot we realized we were never taken on a walk around of the vehicle, we were never shown any features it may have. When we looked, we opened the cup holder and it fell to the ground and then we noticed the bumper had rust and a dent and was rubbing the truck. When we asked them to fix the bumper they said well its a "used" truck, we yes it is but it is a used truck we just spent 24,000 dollars on. I should have walked away from my deal at this point. My experience was a disaster from start to finish. First, I test drove the vehicle for several days, the night I went to get in it the car wouldn't start, ok I get these cars sit on the lot for awhile and batteries drain, but I then tried to start it the next morning and nothing, I had to wait for Joe Machens to send someone out to my house to jump the car, then I had to wait for them to install a new battery. Ok, these things happen even though it cost me an hour and a half of vacation time. Then they finally got my financing acquired and I was told my Josh, the payment would be what I asked for (no higher than 420) and I was told I needed to put 400.00 down. Ok, fine lets sign the papers. So I come in to sign and the finance guy says you payment is 465.65....REALLY!!! I really wanted the car so I said ok and went with it. I then got back to work and realized they never asked me for my 400.00 down payment, when I called they said.. oh yea, we forgot can you run that by. Sure I have nothing else better to do with my day than drive back and forth to your dealership. About two weeks go by, and I am waiting to hear from the dealership about when to pick up my papers and then Josh calls me and says they are still waiting on a copy of my grandmother's driver's license and the bank won't fund the loan without it. No one ever told me they needed this so I was shocked that they still needed anything. So I scrambled around to get a copy of that because my grandmother lives in Jefferson City. I finally got a copy to him and waiting now again for paper work. I then get a call from one of the lady's saying the title is full, and they need to see my vehicle to do another inspection so they can order another title. I said ok, so once again, I drive over to your dealership and sit and wait, and then they say ok we will order the new title and is it ok if we call you when the paper work is in to come get it. That would be great because the post office I have to go to is clear across town. They didn't call me when the paper work was in, they mailed it and they didn't include a check for the late fee at the license bureau that I told Josh weeks earlier I was not paying. I called for that check on Saturday and am still waiting for it (419). I called back again Monday (4/21) to ask them to please not mail the check because I would like to get this taken care of ASAP, but I am sure they will mail it and it will take forever again.I gave Joe Machens a chance after many people have said not to go there and I will not be using the dealership again. I was very disappointed in our service we received. My fiancee and I spent about 40,000 dollars at your dealership in a week and I know that probably isn't much to you guys but its alot to us and we deserved better service than we received. I will not be recommending your dealership to anyone who asks, I would much rather drive to St. Louis or Kansas and get good customer service than be inconvenienced the way you have done us.

I went to Joe Machens Nissan to check out the Nissan Altima. I had called the dealership earlier in the day and spoke with Shawn Siebhur about one I had seen on their web site. I told him I would be there at approximately 5 p.m. to look at the vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership he was there to greet me. He was extremely accommodating, as I have MS and walk slowly with a cane. He brought the vehicle to where I was so there were a minimum amount of steps I would have to make. We took the vehicle for a test drive and then discussed the price and financing options when we returned. When we had agreed upon the deal we had to go to the main Nissan dealership at the top of the hill. When I got there I went in the door and then realized that the waiting area was on the other end of the building, which is an extremely long way for me to walk. Shawn was there and realized my predicament and got an office chair with wheels and wheeled me to the waiting area. When it was my turn to talk to the gentleman handling the financing paperwork Shawn was back with the chair and wheeled me to the office. When I was finished Shawn had the car pulled to the door and then wheeled me out to the car, which was running and nice and warm for me to get into for the ride home. I can not say enough good about the way I was treated at the dealership-if only all places of business were as accommodating to customers with special needs.

Poor service. Its been just couple month I bought car and my smartkey system is poor. When smartkey is left inside car it should not be locked but it locked so I called customer service and the only answer that I heard is "we do not know what to do, we can tow your car but we cannot gurantee your car is safe." Poor service ever.

I have bought from this dealership many times with no complaints, but now they have a credit manager that is very unfriendly, I can't see anything in his attitude that makes him a successful employee who should be working with the public. I will not use this dealership as long as he is employed there And I will not recommend to anyone else. I could not stand working with him. He is very in organized and could not get my information correct on two seep rate days then was pissed off the entire time i dealt with him. I will never go back if he is there....

The staff at Joe Machens was great in November 2013 when I purchased by second vehicle. They were just as awesome the year before when the transmission went out on my Alitma 35 miles up I-70. Both times the staff was more than acomodating and very friendly to my and my dog. The staff allowed my dog to stay inside the building with me during the whole process. I was asked for my military ID card to be photocopied for verification purposes. I informed James it was illegal to photocopy a military ID. The source is as follows: "photocopying of US Government Identification is a violation of Title 18, US Code Part I, Chapter 33, Section 701 and is punishable by both fine and imprisonment. Commercial establishments can ask for military ID to verify service but they are not allowed to photocopy it.

After visiting several other dealerships without success, I finally got the deal I was looking for at Joe Machens Columbia. Unlike the other dealerships who made me drive to their location just to turn me down, James was able to give me all the necessary information over the phone before making the trip. He even went out personally to make sure the truck was still there and to check on a few features for me (another dealership tried to sell me a truck that was already sold 2 days earlier!). They gave me more on my trade-in than any other offer and had a very reasonable price on the used truck I purchased, along with great warranty options! To top it all off, they were able to install a trailer hitch for me same-day within 30 minutes. Very pleased with the overall experience.

Bought a 2012 JUKE in November 2013. Love the car, salesman was great. Accounting folks were a little scary and I felt a somewhat preasured, but the price seemed fair for this great vehicle and the loan they found was a good fit for my finances. Working in the sales and marketing field, I tend to be more critical than most people regarding a purchasing experience.From beginning to end, I would give this experience top reviews.I inquired on a vehicle through an internet submission. Zach followed up with me within 1 day. We set an appointment and he was very prepared to show me the vehicle and provide any answers. A highlight of the experience was his willingness to introduce me to managers at the store. Nothing irritates me more than having to work through a sales person who has no influence on negotiations. He immediately connected me with the manager and our process was easy. They spent time understanding what was important to me and matching the criteria ranging from vehicle features to price.Zach and the managers were able to balance demonstrating that they wanted to sell me a vehicle without being overwhelmingly pushy. Bottom line, this store get the first chance to sell me my next vehicle because they earned it.

When my wife and I decided to buy a new SUV, we researched the web and narrowed our selection to Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, and Nissan Rogue. Our plan was to road test each vehicle, continue our research and make a decision. Unfortunately for the rest, we drove the Rogue first because the dealership was the closest to us. Didn't take us long to determine that the ride was smooth and quiet, not what we really expected from an SUV, having previously owned several. Following up with a drive of the Toyota and the Subaru on the same day, we quickly ranked the Rogue at the top of our standings. Several days later we drove the CRV in a nearby city where my step-son is one of the sales managers. The CRV ranked 2nd, but we were offered a pretty good price. I then contacted James Williams and asked him for a price quote on the Rogue with packages we'd selected as add-ons. He got back pretty quickly with a full quote, delivered, without the benefit of knowing what pricing he might be fighting with my step-son's dealership (which also gave us a "blind" quote on a Rogue at their sister dealership). The deal offered by James and Machens topped out our preference for the Rogue, so I accepted the deal with James and asked him to get us the vehicle. We have never been happier with a vehicle purchase than we are with our new Rogue (even though my wife does still love her 2002 Honda Accord which she'll drive until the wheels fall off!) Every time we drive it, we fall more in love with it's ride and appointments.

This was the first time in over 40 years that I have purchased a new car without ANY HASSLES.Jonathan Barfield and the sales manager were very REAL and didn't mess around when presenting an unbelievable offer on a Nissan Cross Cabriolet convertible. We had driven 120 miles to look at the car as none were available in the Kansas City area. They trusted us and our description of our trade in which was at home in Kansas City area and did not hesitate to make a more than fair offer for it as well as a more than fair discount price for the new car. As a woman, I usually feel like a salesman talks down to me and that he tries to cheat me. Not this time!!! Even though this was our very first visit to Machens, we were treated like return customers. They took us seriously from the get go and made it a very comfortable experience. WE WILL NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THE 120 MILES AGAIN WHEN CAR SHOPPING NEXT TIME.

This is the first time I've bought a vehicle from Joe Machens Nissan. Almost everything, including the reasonable final price, was conducted over the internet. While all the negotiating was done with Johathan Barfield nothing was stated that wasn't true when I arrived at the dealership. My long distance experience with other dealers has been that regardless of how sure one is that everything is agreed upon before arrival, something in the price will change upon arrival. In this case that didn't happen. That's why they are GREAT! The truck was clean and had a full tank of gas for the 100+ mile trip home. Questions I've had about future service have been answered just as courteously and helpfully.BHM

J. Barfield was great to work with, and I would seek him out again if purchasing another vehicle at this dealership. He is very friendly. easy to talk with and answered all questions. He had the vechicle waiting for us to test drive when we arrived. We changed our mind to another vehicle and he showed us everything about it. We were able to take the car home for a test drive, even though we live 90 miles away. I think they knew we would want the vehicle then. Jonathan followed up with an email with more information about the car. He also followed up with phone calls. We would have liked to see a little more taken off the price, but very happy with the car and the way it drives and handles. While waiting we were offered water and ice cream! E. Highley was very friendly and knew all the paper work to get filled out. I always seem to miss a question or two about the packages that they like to add on, so I need to remember to ask, ask, ask! C. Young also very friendly and ready to sell us a car! The car was detailed and a full tank of gas was added before we left the dealership!We did run into a problem when registering our vehicle with Nissan Connect, as it was already registered to M. Stein at the Dealership. Nissan contacted the dealership and the problem was fixed. This is the first time we have owned a Nissan. We were impressed with the car and all the features it has to offer. Since we live out of town, we were happy to hear that the service department is open on Saturdays.

I felt extremely comfortable buying my car at Nissan. I have bought a previous car there before and honestly did not feel comfortable and I don't know why i went back... I guess it really was a spur of the moment decision. However, to my surprise, I had a better than excellent experience, ANDDD I bought a car. I had a really bad experience at another dealership, when I walked into this dealership I was treated as a person not just someone they were going to get their commission. They treated me with respect and listened to my concerns and what I wanted! I drove out of the dealership with the car of my dreams, the payment is high but not their fault I was upside down on the car I was trading in. I would recommend Joe Machans Nissan to everyone!

I went to get my windows tinted on my new car and they said to be there at 10am I show up early they said it should only take a few hours no big deal well it took them 7.5 hours I had my 2yr old with me so that didn't make it any better and I was late for work. And on top of all that my tint has bubbles in it. If it takes u almost 8 hours to tint windows it should be perfect. I am vert very very unhappy with the service I will never get my windows tinted there again. I have had my windows tinted before it only took 2 hours and there were absolutly no bubbles in it.

They took back a potential lemon, rather than making my husband and I fight the lemon law and allowed us to trade for any car we wanted, paying only the difference in package price. I was in the market for an orange Honda Element and I contacted the dealership because I saw online that they had the car that I was looking for. Michael called me back and let me know that the car was available. He also sent me many more pictures of the car so that I could check it out before making the 2 and a half hour trip to Columbia to see it. He was very friendly, courteous and helpful without being pushy. He also arranged for a couple of drivers to drive the car to my house so that I wouldn't have to make arrangements for someone to bring me all the way back to Columbia just to get the car! In my opinion, he went above and beyond my expectations.

I had a great experience at Joe Machens Nissan. Scott Glasgow approached me and made sure I was taken care of. He is very friendly and easy to talk to. He is not pushy like lots of car salesman are. He listened to everything I wanted in car and then found the car. I was allowed to test drive the car by myself, which I really liked. I was not crazy about the color of the car on the lot, but Scott said they could have one there the next day if I wanted it. The next day it was there ready for me. I had price range in mind and Nissan more than met my target price range. On top of that, they gave free hats before I purchased the car and offer you all the free soda and ice cream you could want. I have never had such a great experience while buying a car. Scott also gave me his cell in case I have any problems with the car and I know if anything should arise that Scott and Joe Machens Nissan will take great care of me.

Anyway, before I knew it I agreed to a car that is nice, but after having it a few days, I realize it really doesn't fit us comfortably. Not the dealership's fault but I do feel I was pushed more than a little. Then, after I agreed it took a REALLY long time for paperwork to be done. We were there probably four hours. My husband is very reluctant when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. One, because numerous times in the past we have encountered pushy sales people who would neither give us the time to look or were simply rude and Two, because we didnt have a current vehicle payment and my husband NEVER purchases any "big ticket" item the first time he sees it until he has had several days/weeks to think about it and compare prices. When we arrived at the Nissan dealership we were greeted with a casual but very friendly salesman by the name of Sage. We told him we were just looking but also was specific about what are needs where in the type of vehicle we would be looking for. Price would be very important, 4whl drive preferable, it must seat 5 comfortably since we take my parents with us on vacation each year & it should be roomy since we often have my fathers mobility scooter to house. Sage showed us 4 different options and offered us the choice to either look around ourselves and then ask questions or if we would like for him to walk with us and answer questions as we went. This impressed both me & my husband right off the bat. Sage patiently answered all of my husbands multitude of drilling questions & even had my husband laughing and smiling which was a feet in its self at a car dealership. I was so impressed at how Sage put my husband at ease. We had thought we might want a preowned vehicle but when Sage showed us the advantages & the little cost difference in a new vehicle we chose the new instead. We opted for the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. We couldnt be more happy. Not only did they give us a lower price than originally sticker listed, they gave us more than we thought we would get for our dilapidated old minivan. They gave us free car washes for 90 days, full tank of gas, custom floor mats. They even sent us fresh baked CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.... How awesome is that!!! They fed our son pizza why he waited along with ice cream. Greg the sales mgr. was amazing at helping us with our financing. Our interest rate is low. We couldnt be more pleased. My husband who in our 20yrs together has never bought anything on the spot was so comfortable with Sage bought our FIRST new car ever on the same day he looked at it. I give all the credit to the amazing sales staff at Joe Machens Nissan. I cant thank Sage & Greg enough!

well lets see, as soon as i walked into the dealership i was greeted and helped right off, i was just there to get my vehicle sreviced and i did want to look at another vehicle but ended up getting my car serviced with an oil change and drove home a new car that night to try out. the sentra i took home was not the vehicle for me so the next day Tony helped me out to find the one i liked and just happen to have one across the street. the price i can say was not bad but i beleive it probably could have been a little cheaper seeing how i am vpp approved my percentage rate was too high. i am very pleased with my selection though so do not take that into consideration, i am hapopy i changed vehicles from versa to sentra. my overall experience with the nissan dealership has been the best ever and i recommend everyone i can to go check you all out/.sincerleyRobin Stevens

I don't feel that were given complete honesty at this dealership. We drove almost 4 hours to visit this dealership and look at two used vehicles in particular. I had spoken with Scott Glasgow by phone the day before about the used vehicles we were interested in. I was told over the phone that he wanted to try and sell me a new vehicle instead. When we arrived we were told that both of the used models had already sold that day and we were immediately shown a new model. After having to go back and forth on price and payments we were eventually told that the used vehicle that we originally had called about had not actually sold, but were now told that it was at the sales manager's house. After finally agreeing on a price & payment we left the dealership with a new vehicle and a feeling that we had received a good deal. However, on the following Monday I received an e-mail from John Milletics at this dealership. He apparently wasn't aware that we had purchased a vehicle at this dealership. He stated in the e-mail that they were taking $12,000 off of the model that we purchased. I then proceeded to e-mail our salesman Scott Glasgow to ask him why were weren't offered this deal and his response was that it was only for a 2012 model they had with hail damage. I didn't believe that to be true based off of the e-mail from Mr. Millitecs. It was at this time that I realized that the folks at Joe Machens Nissan had not been honest with us on more than one occasion. The vehicle itself has had to be in the shop already for a back window that came loose from the assembly it was attached too. I also have to have more warranty work done on the passenger door where the weather stripping has come loose and is resulting in loud wind noise while driving. Ultimately I am not satisfied with my experience with the vehicle or the dealership. I left there with a new car and a good feeling but that feeling quickly changed.

When we arrived we were greeted kindly and not hassled. This was our second purchase from Machens Nissan in Columbia. Our complete purchase experience could not have been more positive. We had made contact online and by phone receiving information making us believe it was worth repeating the drive from Kansas City to Columbia. When we parked in the lot we were greeted by a smiling polite employee who directed us inside (even held the door). The negotiation process was very straight forward (none of the pricing games played behind closed doors you sometimes experience). Jonathan Barfield had our new Altima thoroughly cleaned inside and out, our plates installed and then sat with us in the car to set up the Bluetooth phone system and explained in great detail how all the systems operated. I have never purchased a vehicle over the internet before. I found just the car I was looking on the Joe Machens intenet site. I contacted them by phone and Sage, the salesman picked up the ball. There were no pictures on the internet, so Sage took MANY photos and sent to me. He then went "to the top" in his dealership with my cash offer and closed the deal. Working over the past two weeks with this dealership has been a pleasure. I would ask Sage for maintenance records on the car...within half hour, I would have them in the email. The professional responsiveness of Sage made me gain confidence. He got me in touch with the business manager, Eric Highley, who sent all the paperwork in a timely manner to close the deal. My friends were encouraging me to buy a ticket to MO to test drive the car and not to buy it without "laying eyes on it." The amount of information, and the accuracy of the information gained enough confidence that I went forward with the cash deal just working with these two gentlemen on the phone and via emails and texts.When the car arrived, it was just as Sage had described, both in words and pictures sent to me. The followup AFTER the sale was just as professional as before the deal was signed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dealership to all customers (local and on the internet) that are considering a Nissan! These guys are great!

He had already taken the list of options that I was looking for on the Rogue and had found one that met or exceeded all of them. I had researched the Versa, aas well as other makes and models similar to it. Because of gas economy, features, and pricing, Versa was my first choice so that's why I went to Joe Machen. When I arrived at the dealership, I was met and greeted by Jonathan Barfield. I explained that at that time I was only interested in seeing if I felt comfortable in the Versa. He brought one over and offered a test drive, which I accepted. Due to a busy schedule and the fact that I was waiting on money for a down payment, I explained that I was not ready to buy yet, but would be back in touch. A few days later he followed up with an email, and said when I was ready, feel free to contact him.Once everything was in place on my end, I contacted Jonathan by e-mail and he helped in every way he could to get the deal going on the specific car I wanted, even willingly changing once I found the car I test drove was still available. We corresonded through several e-mails and I asked to have a specific car held until I could get there on 6-29-13. He even supplied the VIN number, so I could arrange to have insurance, since I picked it up on a Saturay, and was turning around the next day to go on a short vacation.When I arrived on 6-29-13, Jonathan had everything in place, including temp tags, so I was in and out and on my way quickly. He was very professional in every manner, quickly and courteously responding to emails, answering all my questions. Never at any time did I feel any pressure to buy beyond my means, features I didn't want, or buy a more expensive vehicle. It was all on my terms. I would recommend him and the dealership to anyone interested in a Nissan, even though it is 2 hours away.

Scott was enthusiastic and got me just the car I wanted and with financing too. I had asked about the tires before I came in and he said he didn't know about them, that we'd have to check. I drove away and we still hadn't checked. I called right away (the next day or next week day) as the tires on this $13K Prius were 3 or less on the outside and worn unevenly. A second trip to Columbia and numerous calls to both Scott and the manager (many with no response back from them at all) and I feel the offer of $100 off a set of tires within the first 30 days (when all the taxes and plates were due) was nothing. Found out from paperwork in the glovebox from a dealership and an insurance company that the vehicle had been wrecked (which I was told it hadn't been. Hmmm, don't know that I ever got the copy of the carfax I was told I would get that first day). I just took a trip to Branson with my kids. Found one of my tires had a bubble on it (less than two months from purchase). Drove home gripping the wheel waiting for a blow out. I'm now driving my daughter's car. Scott didn't give my friend the referral bonus he said he would send to her (she had bought her Prius from this dealership also and she had been very pleased). However, after all I have been through with them over this, my friend ended up buying a new vehicle from a Ford dealership. I am actually very happy with the car. The girls in the office were great to work with. I am very displeased with the salesman/dealership selling such a nice car with such inferior tires and I would have expected them to make it right. No, I am not pleased with their follow up in this matter and because of this I will not be recommending this dealership to anyone. Period.

Working with Josh Elder was the best car experience I have EVER had .I have bought a lot of cars over the years and developed a contempt for the whole schtick. Josh is a new breed - I told him what I wanted to do (trade my vw beetle) for a newer beetle. I told him what I could afford and what I wanted. Seriously he found exactly what I wanted and LESS than what I expected to pay. He didn't call me with unnecessary 'what can I do to get you in this car today? calls. He e-mailed and let me know he found what I wanted and asked me if I wanted to make an appointment to see it. Josh is friendly, funny, experienced, he listens, he explains everything. He keeps promises, he makes things happen. He is a no BS guy. Josh didn't make me feel stupid when he had to go over things more than once - I could tell he wanted me to be comfortable and I walked away feeling really happy and trusting that if there are any issues -- Josh will handle it. I cannot begin to explain the terrible experiences I have had with this dealership over the last 4 years. It all started when my 2004 maxima began to have transmission troubles back when I was a student at the university. I told them I had a bad transmission and they jerked me around saying maybe it was one thing, maybe it was another, and about 4 repairs and over a thousand dollars later, the problem of the bad transmission remained. Besides wasting my time and money, I had to pay $4000 for a new transmission that I just learned today was a used part and came with a terrible one year warranty. Because i was jerked around for so long and drove on a bad transmission, I then had to pay for new motor mounts because the engine had been moving too much while it was slipping. My transmission, not two years old and maintenanced regularly is now slipping ONCE AGAIN and they are NO HELP AT ALL. I now live in St. Louis, and not only will one nissan dealership work with another, they do not even have the records from one to the other so now my only option is to drive back to Columbia. I asked what they could do and Casey's response is "we need to take a look to see if its something else"--- sounds familiar...I am being jerked around all over again. I have now spent more in repairs for this car then I paid for it. They are a dealership set to rip you off and do not back up anything they do and will never work with you to handle a problem. Even at this point they are still just trying to get me to come back and pay more, but cannot answer the question, "If my transmission is bad, what can we do about it?" they beat around the bush and all they want is my business. 0 STAR RATING AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORK! I noticed that They have a 5 star rating on here and I have had many friends that dislike this dealership as well, so this must be corrected. Our experience, as we discussed as a family, was the best car buying experience we have ever had in 15 years of marriage!We were only intested in one specific vehicle, and Jonathan did an excellent job staying focused on getting us into that vehicle, as opposed to trying to change our mind, or convince us to look at other vehicles, which we have experienced in the past. We have six children, and they were all with us!The dealership was the most kid friendly we have ever been in! The offered my kids free ice cream, and they had a lounge to watch tv. There were many sales persons, and other staff in the building who were all friendly to our children, and not once did anyone act annoyed by them or otherwise. The dealership was clean, and well presented. Each person working there we encountered was friendly and accomodating. Normally I HATE buying a car, and always leave with a headache, but this was not the case. Jonathan made sure our gas tank was filled up before we left, and made sure we knew how to work everything and even called the next day to make sure we had no questions, and that we were happy with our purchase. We both agreed when we are ready to purchase another vehicle we will be back at Joe Machens because of the tremendous experience we had, and will gladly recommend Jonathan and Joe Machens to friends and family!Thanks again-The Knehans Family

We didn't expect to purchase a vehicle. We had gone in only to look at a particular color of a vehicle, since we had been looking on-line for cars. When talking with our salesman, who was very helpful and very friendly, we ended up finding the exact car we were actually wanting (instead of setteling for something else), and got an excellent deal on it! We ended up with more than we thought we would be able to afford. Everyone was curteous and worked hard to get us into the car of our dreams.

My car battery died and I brought my Kia in for service. Despite being backed up, David was very quick and helpful, got me shuttle service so I could go back to work while my car was there and accurate in his estimates when I asked him how much he thought it would cost. Travis, whom I bought the car from two years ago, saw me and came to check on me, see how I was doing and offer any help that he could. Any time I need service on my vehicle, I come here. The quality of work is excellent and the price is reasonable or lower than I find elsewhere. The process of purchasing my car in the first place was much quicker, simpler and easier than I'd expected and I recommend Joe Machen's Nissan to anyone I'm discussing car sales and/or service with. And it isn't just the quality of the service. The quality of the employees is excellent as well. They are so friendly and efficient. Even when I brought my car in with the dead battery, I was having two of the worst days ever and they were so sympathetic and did everything they could to help me. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I worked with salesperson, Jonathan Barfield, on the purchase of a 2009 Nissan Altima. It was rough getting started b/c of my specifications and price range but he found the diamond in the rough! He did not try to talk me into vehicles I did not want b/c he wanted a sale. He was awesome in the fact that he was not pushy which is hard to come by when purchasing a vehicle. He put in the extra time and effort helping me find a vehicle that I love and it is GREATLY appreciated. I had a great experience at Joe Machens Nissan buying my first car. The employees I worked with were super friendly and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I got what I wanted. Dan White, my salesman, corresponded with me for a week, sending me new cars each day and trying to narrow down my search. At the end of the day, I got an almost new car (which I never would've thought I could afford) with great safety features, style and the manual transmission I wanted, to boot! I would probably have giving up if it wasn't for the great staff and their willingness to work with me to find something that I was comfortable with--physically and financially.

Jonathon Barfeild... Where do I begin? He was the friendliest, and most knowledgable salesman I've ever met. By his asking me only a few questions, (what kind of cars I liked and which ones I did not like and where I would like to keep my monthly payments around), I felt like he completley knew me! I gave him the most simple answers. But he said," I have the perfect car for you!" I have to be honest, I didn't think that he could actually pull it off. I am very picky and had already been all over three different towns trying to find something, but as soon as I saw the car, I knew it would be mine! I was in a time crunch, I had to have a vehicle in two days and did not want to chose anything that day. He was professional and he understood my needs! He was personable beyond belief, and in the future I will be buying another car from him, where-ever he may go! I have already recommended him to a few people, but I will continue recommending him until he tells me not to!! Yes, he's that great!! I was having a terrible time finding a good dealership to work with because the saleman were too worried about selling me at that moment...My timeline was 1 week to buy a car and I kept getting pushed by other salesman...Josh knew I was looking and he simply told me "go drive the other cars you are looking at, then drive a new Altima...you wont want any other vehicle...He was 100% correct. I drove 4 competitors, listened to their sales pitch, and went directly to Josh to work the deal. He was quick, to the point, no bologne business man!! This is the first brand new car I have bought and he made my buying experience excellent. My wife and I had ben shopping for a new car and had narrowed our choices down to Accord or Altima. I was completely upfront with the Nissan sales staff, we were going to buy a car that day and we had cash in hand. Bob Pollock did an excellent job of listening to our needs, paying attention, and showing us the exact car we were looking for. He has a lot of confidence in the Nissan brand and answered all our concerns. I was especially impressed when he suggested driving the Accord and we would be back becuase the Altima is that much better vehicle. And he was right. I can be fairly headstrong and had a number in mind when we got to that point. Dealing with Dan and and Jonathan on the money aspects was enjoyable and after some good discussion we managed to reach agreement. We were well satisfied with our entire buying experience and will certainly recommend Bob and the rest of the Machens Nissan staff to our friends.

I bought a 2012 Nissan Frontier. Bob Pollock was my salesman an I have never had anyone work so hard for me. I also enjoyed how everyone there worked as a team to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I enjoyed how there was no pressure and no one tryin to force me into anything. I feel that the truck sold itself and Bob and his team were just there for support. I have had the truck for one month now and to this day couldn't be more happy with it. After looking extensively in the Springfield MO area for a car, we decided to take the 2-1/2 and 150-plus mile trip to Columbia to see a Lexus SUV they had on the lot. I was hoping this wasn't a wild goose chase, because I was basically taking an entire day for this venture. I had never driven this far to look at a car, so I contacted Bill Shields via email about the vehicle and he was extremely accommodating. He answered all my questions and took extra pictures for us. Once we got there, Bill had the vehicle all ready to test drive. He was extremely cordial and had a very laid-back, non-pushy approach that was refreshing. The deal was made rather quickly and we got a price I was very comfortable with. After signing some papers, we were off in our beautiful Lexus RX 350. I would highly recommend visiting Bill and the good folks at Joe Machens Nissan if you're looking for a new or used vehicle. It was well worth the trip!

I was contacted by Jonathan Barfield by phone after having been in the dealership previously when I just been shopping the various brands being sold in Columbia. I found him to be a very honest, dependable and professional sales person. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help me find a car that suited my very particular needs and wishes. He also worked hard to get me the best deal possible.In the last several days since the purchase of my 2012 Nissan Altima, Jonathan has been in touch to make sure that I was happy with the car. I had to take in to the dealership to have a spoiler installed that had to be ordered. Jonathan drove me home to wait while the work was being done. He then delivered the car to my home when it was completed and personally ran it through a carwash for me to assure that it came back in top notch shape. That is a man who is dedicated to service to his customer.I visited every dealer in town and test drove every mid-size car but I heartily recommend Joe Machens Nissan, the Nissan Altima and especially Jonathan Barfield. We live in St. Louis, so buying a car from a dealer in central Missouri wasn't what we expected to do. We visited several dealers here and test drove several vehicles. We knew we wanted a Rogue and we had to have one - the old car had been totaled out. We sort of laughed at the first email from Machens, but soon started to take them seriously. Jonathan was not high pressure, but he told us that he'd try to beat the best offer we had here, and he did. The car was delivered to us and the whole experience was easy. We'll recommend Machens to friends here who are looking for a new car.

He was very friendly and made our experience of buying our first vehicle pretty fun for the most part. He offered us water and ice cream and I felt like he really tried to get to know us. I would definitely recommend Jonathan to everyone I know. Eric was the guy the did the financing work with us and I did not enjoy that part, as most people don't, but that's a big part and should go slowly. I really felt like he rushed through a lot of stuff and I felt as if he was rushing us. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I bought my 2012 Nissan Versa in late March. I dealt mostly with Mr. Jonathan Barfield. He was an excellent sales person. He wasn't ever pushy or "car salesman-ish". The only reason for my less than perfect review is that Mr. Barfield was out of the office and the deal was taken over by Bill Sheets until Mr. Barfield returned to work. Mr. Barfield called me to let me know that he was out of the office this day and that Mr. Sheets would be helping me until he was back. As a woman I do NOT like to work with car dealerships, however Mr. Barfield made me feel like I was working with a family member that would never attempt to screw me over. He got me the car and payment I wanted. When it's time for a new car I hope to find Mr. Barfield to work with again. By the way I LOVE MY NEW VERSA!!!

This was my first time buying a vehicle and it was a very pleasant experience at that. I did feel overwhelmed but there was a lot for me to be thinking about as I am still very young.My salesman, Josh Elder was the nicest and most down to earth car salesman that I know... I have been around a lot do to the fact that my father used to work for a car dealership in the parts department. Josh not only found what I wanted in a car, but also worked with the finance guys to make the deal happen the best he could. He spent countless hours with me over the course of two days. Josh also helped make a deal for my best friend go through. As he was working with me, I told him that my best friend needed a new car and that other dealerships had shut him down because he had just bought his car, yet josh got him into the car that he wanted. Overall, it was a great experience for a first time car buyer. If you go into Joe Machens Nissan ask for Josh Elder, you won't be disappointed at all!

Very long story. First, they sold us the wrong car. Picked up the right car. They did the paperwork wrong. They sent someone to me with the theoretically corrected paperwork. Jacked up the price by 5 grand. Sent someone again, finally right. They assured me they would overnight my copies. Had to call them and tell them to come get the car in order for them to get me my copies so I could license it. This entire process took about four weeks. Then about 6 weeks ago, I got a recall notice. I called to set the appointment up and they told me it was a two step process. They check to see if I need the recall (2 hours) then if I do, only then will they order parts. Then I have to come back to have it fixed (3 more hours). I explained that I live out of town, I'm busy, and could you just have the parts so we can knock it out in one day. The guy I talked to CALLED ME BACK and said, absolutely, we understand, we'll take care of it all same day.So I take it over there. They look at it. 2 hours later, they come out and say, you need the recall. Now we'll order parts. So that pissed me off. No apology was forthcoming. Last week, they called to say the parts were in. I set up an appointment and told them I would drop it off the Friday before. So I go over there, put my keys in the night drop and left it there. At noon today, I called and asked of it was done. And yes, I mentioned my name. Yes, they say, your car is done. So I went over there to get it. They couldn't find the paperwork....because they didn't check the night drop and they didn't know my car was there. One of the guys actually insisted that I had already picked up my car?? They thought my car was a different one they had fixed earlier in the day. They gave me a loaner and I have to go back. Again. Monday night. And all through this, the service guys were laughing their asses off. As compensation, they changed my oil, rotated my tires, and detailed the car, so there is that.I have never in my life witnessed such all around incompetency. Start to finish. Every single time I've had to deal with them, it's been a bumpy road.

Jonathan Barfield made getting into a 2012 easy and affordable. When checking out the car, he knew the in's and out's of the whole vehicle. I described what my vehicle would mostly be used for (lots of driving for my new job in Minneapolis, MN) and he made sure to get me in an AWD Rogue with awesome extras. He was very friendly-- he greeted me with a smile, and at no point tried to get me to commit to something I didn't want or need. While filling out and signing paperwork, Jonathan easily summed up each page and answered all questions I had.Overall, I have had no better buying experience (with any item) than my purchase of my 2012 Nissan Rogue from Jonathan Barfield at Joe Machens Nissan!

Don't ever buy from this dealersip!!! You are going to lose your money when you buy form this HORRIBLE dealership.They are kind of helpful when they need to sell their cars but once car is sold, they don't deliver anything. On their wesbite, they clearly had navigation system and garage door opener as options for the car but car didn't equipped with these itmes.When I inquired about these items pretty much they say you have to get it for yourself. Please don't every buy any cars from these guys. They advertise price using all equipped options but in fact it doesn't have it. You will going to lose money when you buy from this dealership.

Before leaving the store we asked for him tocall you and he flat refused. While sitting outside in my wheelchair oneof your salesmen made a statement that I belonged in the chair. That wastotally uncalled for. There were several sales staff standing insidepointing fingers at us and laughing at us. I do not know what they weresaying since there was a glass between us. Guess we were the butt oftheir jokes. I tried calling you several times but was never able tospeak with you. Seems like my phone calls were not important enough foryou to answer. Then our son, Jeremy Dixon, has a bad rim and the tiresare splitting due to belts breaking. This is unacceptable! How did histruck pass your inspection with the tires the way they are and the rimbent? You did not pay for the rim, it was done under Warranty so therewas no money from you. He let you all know 1 week after he purchased it.Jeremy offered to pay half the price of the tires and was told NO! Nowwe feel you should pay 100% for the tires. He is also a disabledveteran. I am now going to put the white paint on our truck tellingpeople NOT TO DEAL WITH JOE MACHENS PERIOD! Especially if you are aveteran or are handicapped. Solomon was very patient with me while I tried to decide between 2 different models of Nissan. I drove both and decided to get another Versa as I had been very pleased with the one I was trading in. Honestly, I couldn't have done better myself, and that is saying alot! James is not your typical salesman. He is honest and will not waste your time with all of the haggling. We set-out for a Saturday drive, as we do on most weekends. We notified Bill Sheets (whom we had previously spoken to) that we would take a drive there and speak to him about possibly purchasing a Nissan Frontier. We had no idea that we would be bringing one home that day. While there, we dealt with Bill and Adam Aulepp. Both are surely a credit to your business. Both of these men wre courteous and understanding at all times. We had no idea just how busy it would be on Saturday; it made for a long afternoon, made tolerable only because of these two men. Solomon is a gentleman who is easy to bond with in sales. For example when I drove to a dealership in KC to test drive a new car and trade in my truck. The person in charge of valuing trade-ins practically slapped me in the face about a defect about the engine knocking. Well it was news to me about a defect of my truck engine. My point is this, he could have been easy on me and said Mr. Quinlan can you hear the knocking? That is a $1,500 dollar problem for us to correct. I did not have this problem when we purchased a new Nissan from Solomon with the trade-in. So later in time, we are searching for a used car and we locate Solomon because of our previous experience with Solomon and purchase our son a newer used car from Machens Nissan.

Bill Sheets was the actual sales associate my husband dealt with, but since then my husband had to go out of town for work and I've dealt with Bill on a number of questions I've had and additional accessories added to the vehicle, and Bill has gone above and beyond. In addition, on ocassion when I've had questions and could not reach Bill Sheets, Scott Glasgow has stepped in to answer my questions with much professionalism. Even though he was not the salesman, he had no problem checking on accessories or giving me suggestions. About a year ago I had a very bad experience with this dealership and did not want to go back, but I am glad my husband decided to come back because Joe Machens Nissan has an class act dealership and an outstanding team of salesmen.

I have owned my new Rogue for several months now and only recently had my first encounter with winter driving that required the AWD. I happened to be on the road at that time and before I ventured out onto the highway for my trip home I called my salesperson (Scott Jennings) to verify how the AWD actually switched from FWD since there was a switch available to lock the AWD. Scott was right on top of it. He did all the leg work for me by talking with the service manager and got back to me in minutes with the information that I needed to ease my mind and know that I was operating my Rogue correctly and safely. Scott has changed my perception of what a 'car salesperson' is. He totally breaks the stereotype mold. He was very helpful and proves that there are people out there that treat you well after the sale has closed. Thanks Scott.

My first vehicle I have bought sight unseen from a dealer off the internet. Great experience. We live 90 minutes away and have did all the research off the net. My wife drove one in the spring, so we knew what we were going to get when the baby got here. Vehicle is great, sales dept was great and finally, the finance manager was very good. He showed us different options, but didn't force feed anything to us. I am in sales, so I really appreciated that. Looks to be a vehicle we will have for several years to come. I purchased a USED 2006 Nissan Quest in January 2011 with a ''full'' warranty. Since then I have had numerous engine related repairs, and have spent almost $3,000 out-of-pocket with nothing covered by the warranty. This month my engine light came on again and this time its a catalytic converter which will cost $1,300 out-of-pocket (because once again its not something covered by the 'waste-of-my-money' warranty). Being this is the fifth or sixth repair OR service visit for my van in less than a year after I purchased it, I was extremely upset and frustrated (completely irate at this point). I called the service department only to be hung up on (after only a few seconds on the phone and without warning). I then called back and spoke to his manager who gave me a lot of nonsense about how the catalytic converter isn't necessary for safety inspections (in our county) and there isn't any real need to fix it if I don't have the money. After telling me his car has the same problem and without offering me anything (could have been something as simple as well waive the fee for this service visit' ($50 value)), he became impatient and didn't want to be on the phone anymore, so being a mature adult he decided to giggle about it and tell someone in the background that I wouldn't let him off the phone (which was completely untrue and disrespectful). As a result, I demanded he transfer me to his manager's voicemail. To be perfectly honest, at this point I was already aware nothing was going to be resolved to my satisfaction and they were going to get away with selling me a junk vehicle. The only reason I wanted to speak with his manager was to tell him how hateful and disrespected I had been treated by his service personnel. He called me back the same day, which was the first descent thing anyone at this dealership has done so far, to apologize for the rude behavior of his staff. However, he wouldn't apologize for selling me a vehicle which is falling apart. His reasoning was that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, and unfortunately, this time we lost. I have purchased a lot of both USED and NEW cars, and this is the first time I have ever had to make this many expensive repairs in the first year of ownership (at this stage Im practically rebuilding the van part-by-part) He offered to bring me in to consider trading the van for something else that was ''mechanically sound'' and would make me happy, but couldn't guarantee how much trade value I would get (even though this was apparently a lemon), even if I decided to trade up. After reading other ''horror stories'' online, I discovered this is a pretty common tactic by dealerships which just results in more money out of consumers. So I will be left with paying for all the repairs I've had to make and any amount that I still owe on it if I do decide to trade it upside down. This has been the worst ordeal I have ever been put through and I will not be doing any more business with any MACHENS dealership and will share my story with anyone considering doing business with them. Furthermore, instead of trading my van upside down with Machens, Ill just take it elsewhere and cash in that good-for-nothing warranty for whatever refund I can get. BUYERS BEWARE!

Solomon wasn't pushy very polite. He asked to come along on the test drive rather than just tagged along. We found a drag noise on a right hand turn. Which he promised he would get resolved and it was on the Monday. While the car was being prepared he wasn't happy with quality of the wash to the bed and made them go back over it and clean it up much better. He gave new foot mats with the car to replace the dirty old ones. He also offered to help setup the electronics inside the car which i didn't need but the gesture was still pleasantly received.I would definitely recommend and use his services again

I bought my 2010 Titan from these guys last year. Love my truck and got a fantastic deal on it. Since, I've been bringing my truck and my 2008 Nissan Xterra to them for maintenance. I've never had maintenance done at a dealership before (never trusted them to be honest), but I feel like I can trust these guys and would rather have them work on my cars than anyone else in town. Great job guys. I'm a Machens customer for life at this point.

I looked at several dealerships in town and wanted to test drive several differnet vehicles. I test drove the Nissan Altima and the salesman was very friendly. I loved the car and then went to purchase it on a different night. I got a very good deal on my trade in, sales manager helped in getting good packages for the car and was out of the dealership with a new car in about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs. I was very pleased with the dealership.

The dealership is always so clean and well lit. Everyone was so friendly even the ones that wern't involved with our sale. Our Salesman was Rick Witlock and a guy name Tony helped him with all the details of the vehicle because Rick was new. Very impressed!!

My quest was to research all the SUV's currently on the market. I started with online study via Edmunds.com. From there I went to multiple dealerships and test drove many different models. When I visited Joe Machens Nissan I made contact with the first available salesperson. It happened to be Scott Jennings. He was courteous, knowlegable, and very helpful. He allowed me an extended test drive in a Rogue while pointing out the best features of the auto along with all the different options and prices available. This was very helpful. All I can say is quality speaks for itself. And after test driving many different SUV's on the market? Rogue was my first choice. Scott sealed the deal through by his knowledge of the product and willingness to work with me to the end of the deal. Yes, I would recomend this dealership and more specfically this salesperson.

My husband and I were both owners of a Nissan (me an Altima, my husband a Titan) and my Altima was aging and we decided it was time for a new vehicle. We have both been happy with our Nissan's so planned to purchase another Altima. However, after working with Solomon we determined a Maxima better fit our needs. Solomon was very helpful and courteous and was informative but low pressure, which is exactly what we were looking for. He was a perfect fit for us. I'm sure next time we want a new vehicle, it will also be a Nissan.

I drive over 50 miles to reach this dealer. This was my 2nd time in 10 months. I do have 2 other dealers closer. Al West in Rolla that I hope folds and then the new one in Jefferson City. I will drive to get better service and sellers who treat you with respect. Joe Machens is outstanding and well worth the drive. Trust me! You get what you pay for and why not get both great price and service with Joe Machens Nissan. Take the time and the drive you will not be sorry!!!
