My husband and I had been looking to buy me a new mid size SUV for a year. We owned my 2006 Honda Odyssey for over 7 years and it was a great vehicle, but didn't go well in the snow, so when it was time for a new vehicle I knew I needed and SUV. Sonny was the one who showed us the Pilot and he was absolutely perfect. My husband hates pushy salesman, and Sonny was not that way, so we liked him immediately. He answered all of our questions and was honest. When we came back in a few weeks ready to buy, Sonny got us ready to purchase it and Randy came in a dealt with us after that. Randy was great as well. He was honest, straightforward and professional. Our deal took less than 10 minutes, and that made my husband very happy. We didn't feel that we were strung along at all. They told us what they could do, and we told them what we could do and it worked out great. We very much appreciate the guys from John Howerton Honda and we love our New Pilot!

I was able to research a handful of vehicles, submit information on my trade-in and a credit application from my home on a Sunday night through the John Howerton Honda website. Ben Parker called me the next morning to make an appointment to meet at the dealership after work. When I got there he already had one of the vehicles I had picked out Sunday night staged and ready for me to look at. I test drove that 2011 Honda Acord but ended up purchasing a different certified pre-owned Acord on the lot without any trouble or hassle. When I went in to work on the financing, PJ gave me a range of payment and term options(4) to choose from instead of haggling over terms and payment. It was the easiest, most no-pressure experience I've ever had as car buyer. When you factor in that I was able to get the payment I wanted, the warranty that comes with a certified pre-owned vehicle, VIN etched windows and the Howerton Difference, I am extremely pleased with my experience.And BTW, I've never purchased gap insurance or an extended warranty prior to this purchase. The finance manager, Felicia, who closed out my paperwork presented the different extended warranty packages in a manner that I couldn't say no. I was able to pick and choose the coverage that best fit my needs even when I didn't think I needed it going in. Overall, the best experience I have had to date.

I knew I wanted a Honda CRV but wasn't sure where I would purchase it. Early on I met Tracy Simms due to my doing some Honda research. She began emailing me and made contact by phone. She is such a pleasant not overbearing person I knew I wanted to do business with her as my salesperson. It took a few months for me to get everything to the place where I was prepared to purchase my new CRV. Tracy continued to contact me throughout this time. She was always very friendly but never pushy. I would have not pursued this dealership had she been. Finally May 2 I got to meet the lady I had been emailing and speaking with on the phone. She was so nice in person just as I thought she would be. We were able to make the deal that day. I now am the proud owner of a 2014 Honda CRV EX, blue in color and I love it! One other thing...I have bought new and used cars before in my life and normally the salesperson will be very friendly and willing to assist in any way so I was expecting this but the whole staff at John Howerton Honda were as polite, kind and helpful to me as they good possibly be. I told my son and daughter they made me feel special. I will recommend them to everyone I see. Honda speaks for itself but the service that I received went over and above what I have normally had. I will pay more and travel further to get good service which is a quality that seems to have left this country. God Bless John Howerton Honda for being a service, person centered dealership!

This was my fist experience with John Howerton Honda and the employees who work there. It was a wonderful experience. Every one I dealt with was professional, friendly and cared about what I needed. At one point I didn't think I would be able to make the purchase but P. J. and Randy kept running numbers until they found the perfect fit for my budget. Needless to say I was thrilled when I drove away in my new car. The employees are a definite benefit to the company, especially Ben, P. J., Randy, Sonny, Jason and Jamie. Brad was a true gentleman through out my new car experience. I was consumed with worry about the financal burden. He understood what my worries were and tried to get me the most car for the least amount possible. We test drove several cars and he explained many times the differences and options. Even though we changed our minds several times (even over the color of the vehicle), he showed a great deal of patience. We had visited several other dealers before we visited John Howerton Honda and the other employees were not nearly as helpful.

Not only did jt Bradley our salesman get us in one vehicle we got put in two vehicles... Every employee was super friendly!! And Jim went over and beyond the limit to get both our vehicle deals worked out!!! Amazingly experience highly recommend them and will definitely shop with them again!! Only recommendations is a more kid friendly room with some toys!!!

My experience with Tracy and John Howerton Honda was as good as it gets. I made an appointment with Tracy and she greeted me immediately upon my arrival. She took my information found out the vehicle I was looking for and the price range and then found several cars for me to look at and test drive. When I decided on the vehicle she went over all the features explaining where everything was on the dashboard and how it worked. She took care of everything for me and I left with a beautiful car at the right price. I was very pleased with Tracy and all of the staff. It was a pleasant experience.

Brought my 2001 honda accord from TN when I moved car would not start. Payed. 110.00 for diagnostic no help there. Had to have it towed back I fixed the problem it was ECM I replaced and had a 3 I clock appt. at 430 they started they close at 5 I have 3 kids and I needed my car. They didn't they didn't have time to finish program the ECM they wanted to keep it 1 more day to finish and charge me again for service I already paid for my wife needed the car when she drove it the mileage, speedometer, the temp gauge, sunroof, cruise control didn't work it still don't work they refuse to complete the job and one of the techs told my tow driver to take it to the scrap yard!!!!! I don't have the best credit but I was treated as if I had an 800 score. The sale was not rushed at all, everyone at the dealership was incredibly nice and knowledgable. Even though I purchased a used vehicle that was not a Honda, the salesman did a great walk around and new the features of the vehicle that I would be interested in. I went to the dealership with all intent of buying a new car because of the current specials that Honda was advertising. I owned a 2011 CRV and wanted to upgrade to a 2014 CRV. My experience was good everyone there was and is very nice group. Jim C. and Janie assisted me the evening that I purchased my new car, Jim & Felicia finished two days later when we returned to pick up the new vechile. I went a little bit over my budget however over all I would return to the dealership again.

One of the only disappointing thing was that they didnt fill the car up with gas, was told they are not allowed to fill up used cars. Everywhere else that we have dealt with in buying a used car does fill the gas tank up. Overall had a good experience.

Salesman was nice, not very knowledgeable of product, they were texting during test drive, but that was ok. When came to negotiating everything went south. Offered very low trade value, but that was just the start. When we were dealing with the salesman, told him I just wanted to value my trade, but he continued to fill out the credit application despite my objections. Finally told him I did not want my credit ran until we found a price for my trade and the prospective purchase. He informed me he had to fill out a few forms to do that. He continued to fill out paperwork and I told him I just wanted to see the value of my trade first and he finally went to get his sales manager. This is when it really went south. They offered a really low trade value and I informed them this would not work. They seemed offended that I did not take their offer. They asked what could they do, to make the offer work. When I told them it would not work today, the sales manager was very adamant that I would. After some back and forth, I told them I was done negotiating and wanted the keys to my vehicle. The sales manager went to the sales office and came back without my keys, I asked where my keys were and he continued to ask me what he could do to make me buy his vehicle. Long story short, I asked for my keys several times but he would not return my keys, I asked politely, and then aggressively, to return my keys. I was basically held hostage at this dealership for a while. I finally had to threaten to call the police to get my keys back. The owner, John Howerton was in the sales office during the last portion of our exchange and allowed his sales manager to treat me this way. They were insistent that I was going to buy their vehicle. To end this review I would say I will NEVER set foot on their lot again, and I will tell everyone who mentions this dealer what my experience was with them. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Avoid this dealership at all cost.

I bought a Jeep Commander from this lot and they never cleaned it as well as it has been broke down in my driveway since I bought it. I asked to speek with Mr. Howerton and they told me I will recieve a call back from him, a few minutes later I recieved a call from a man that stated he was his son. He was very rude and didnt care about my issues! Later that day my friend that works at the lot next door called and asked to speek to Mr. Howerton, she spoke with him and told him his son was very rude to me and he stated he does not have a son... he also stated he had no idea of my problems!!! To this day I call and call to speek with Dan and never get a return call from him!!I I am now not able to take my newborn to doctor visits nor the grocery store... I sunk all my money into this vehicle and now I have a lemmon!! They dont care and I wouldnt recommend them to my worse enemy!

This is the second vehicle that I have purchased from this dealership. I would highly recommend this dealership to family and friends. My salesmen Sean Fleshman, was very professional and very courteous. From the moment that I arrived he was very friendly and polite to deal with. He was a complete professional, and answered all of my questions efficiently and promptly. I purchased a 2014 Honda CRV. I traded in my 2010 Honda CRV. My payment did not increase that much, when purchasing this new vehicle. Overall I would give this dealership four stars. When I plan to purchase another vehicle, I will return to this dealership. I will never own another vehicle other than a Honda. This is the fourth Honda that I have owned. I previously owned a Accord, Civic, and a CRV. I feel that hands down Honda manufactures the best cars, SUVS, and motorcycles on the current market today.

The John Howerton Dealership offered the best price on a CRV than any other dealership in the area. I used the dealership web site and selected the vehicle. There was an immediate response with a price quote that surpased all other dealers. The staff was very helpful and explained all of the options and set up the vehicles phone, bluetooth, navigation and showed how to operate. Excellent financing and great follow-up.

I was very pleased with my trade at John Howerton Honda,i went in to the dealership and told the salesman i was there to possibly trade as my current vehicle was becoming a headache.Lo and behold the vehicle i eventually traded for came out the sevice door from being washed and detailed.It had been traded in a couple of days before and had been well maintained and had all service records in glove box.After a small amount of haggling over price, i was given well more for my trade than Blue Book said i could expect.After thinking it over for a few days i went back and got another $250.00 for my trade.Very happy and did the deal.

Gary was very easy to work with. He was very patient while I browsed every car on the lot looking for the perfect car to meet my needs. When I brought my husband back to look we found the perfect car. An older model CRV with a lot of miles that we wouldn't mind beating up. While I know there wasn't a whole lot of money to be made on the car that I chose, and while the other salesman tried his best to sell me the more expensive car, Gary understood where I was coming from and did his best to help me get the deal that I needed even tho it wasn't going to be very profitable for him, And because of that one reason, I will be a return customer.Brent made the whole signing process relatively painless. He explained everything thoroughly and when he discovered a couple of mistakes that were made he corrected them quickly and without stress. Overall we were really impressed with the ease of the transaction and the final price of the car. Just the fact that I am taking time to do this review speaks volumes as to my satisfaction. We will be back to trade in the future.

My Honda Accord experienced major mechanical problems while travelling from Ohio to West Virginia. John Howerton Honda came to our rescue! My car was full with my wife and three children. The awesome sales person showed up with a vehicle to help bring my stranded family back to the dealership where my car was towed free of charge. It is in my opinion that this dealership went above and beyond the call of duty and helped us in one of a families most vulnerable moments, being stuck on a highway over 200 miles from home. The knowledgeable and diligent service staff got to work right away on my car. They did their very best to get us back on the road again. Unfortunately the issue with my car was severe and they were not able to get it back running that day. I rented a car and continued my trip with my family. During the time my car was being fixed, Mike called me nearly every day to give me an update. When I returned to pick up my car they had cleaned it up for me and I must say it has never run better.

We had a wonderful experience at John Howerton Honda. Everyone was so nice. Even though they were super busy the day we bought our car we did not feel rushed or ignored. They make you feel like you are the only customer there.

When we arrived at John Howerton Honda we were warmly greeted by Jim Copenhaver which is the internet specialest manager. Having less then stellar credit, we have tried several dealerships and were not able to get the immediate customer satisfaction, so we made the call and spoke with Jim and he was able to serve us right away with positive results. The John Howarton staff were all extremly friendly, and the over all experience was extremely positive, and would recommend to my friends and family. I will be returning to them in the near future. I am glad we stopped here to buy a car. Sales staff was courteous and friendly and willing to do what it took it sell us a car. We didn't have to actually buy a car that day but we did due to the dealer and salesman!

This was the first place we stopped on the first day we went car shopping. Within a few hours we were driving away with my new Honda CRV. We were pleased with the the service we received. We test drove the 2 vehicles we were interested in and Brent answered our questions. He got us within the price we wanted being willing to negotiate for us. He wanted to see us happy and leave with the car we wanted. We didn't have to actually buy a car that day but due to the sales staff and dealership we did! I am very happy with the warranty and car that we purchased!

I gave the five star rating because the salesman, Brent did an amazing job going over the deals with me. He was attentive giving me three and a half hours of his time on a Saturday that went into early evening. Great employees, friendly and attentive through the entire purchase!

I had the best situation ever! My car developed a cracked engine block while I was traveling across West Virginia to Ohio. I thought my car was a total loss, but after having it towed to John Howerton Honda I found out that Honda had issued a Service Bulletin Extended Warranty on the cracking engine block problem! My car was repaired in just a few days while I was in a rental in Ohio and the very time I need to pick it back up and return the rental, my car was ready for me TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE AND HASSLE! I WAS COMPLETLEY AMAZED! My car is running beautifully and I am thrilled with the service I received from the dealership and from Honda USA. I will probably always buy Honda's from here on out.
