I am a recent customer of Kia of Bowie. My entire car shopping experience was very positive. The salesman Errol Russell was first-rate (no high-pressure). I had a sense of what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. I got an excellent deal and although the Sorento EX I was looking for was not on their lot, Kia of Bowie called around to other dealerships in the region and found the exact trim package and color I wanted. My car shopping experience at Kia of Bowie could not have gone any better. I highly recommend working with Earl. Despite my financing situation being difficult , Earl was able to find me financing, and went above and beyond to get the deal done and make sure it was afforadable for me. I felt comfortable the whole time, all my questions were answered and I never felt pressured. When I told Earl what I needed he found the perfect car for me, low mileage, excellent condition and only two years old. I was pretty set on getting a used SUV from Carmax or elsewhere, as I needed something dependable and safe but I couldn't afford to spend a lot of money. When I narrowed it down to a used Kia, several friends mentioned that they were extremely impressed by the brand, the value and particularly the warranty, so I decided to reach out to my local dealership just to see what might be possible. Earl Ward was the first person to reach out to me by phone call and I was in a brand new Sorento by the next night. I am still in complete awe of the entire process. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, non judgmental and made it clear from the first phone call that he was there for ME and left the impression that he will be there for ME for a long time to come. I felt VERY confident in my decision and am head over heels in love with my new SUV. I am so glad I followed my that little nudge "just to see". Also, as someone who (let's be honest) who typically makes at least the initial choice based on the look and feel of a vehicle, I was VERY intrigued by Earl's very detailed knowledge of all the features of my car. I have never before been so genuinely interested in learning all of it, and the parts I forget, I know he is just a phone call away to help me out. You have a customer for life in me, thanks to Earl Ward. (And no, we are not related but he sure did treat me like family!)

I came in to Kia of Bowie just sit in a Kia Soul. That's all, just to sit in one. I left driving a new one out. There was no high pressure sales staff. There were no phony gimmicks to get me to buy. The car sold me. But the staff sealed the deal. I'd been to other manufacturer's dealers in the area who I felt as soon as I stepped out of my car they were sizing me up like buzzards. I'm sure other dealers send their staff off to learn the art of high pressure negotiation. For me that is a turn off. I want to buy a car like I'm buying one from a friend or a neighbor. The charm of Kia of Bowie, is that is the experience you feel you've established when you leave. The staff are knowledgeable enough about their competitors products and pricing as well as the products of other manufacturers. You know you'll be back for your next purchasing experience and you know you'll be happy to refer your friends and family. Because when you buy a car from the good folks at Kia of Bowie, you are buying a car from family. Good people earning a living who respect and are sensitive to the needs of other folks just trying to earn a living. I turned 60 this year and this was by far my best purchasing experience ever.

This is the first time I have been to a dealership and not felt pressured into buying. Mr. Earl Ward was clearly excited about his product and he made me excited, too. I knew I was going to buy a car sometime in the next 2 years. I just didn't realize it would be so soon! I was very happy to purchase my Kia Optima. It is beautiful inside and out. The ride is so smooth and the features are so electronic/technical. They are truly compatible with someone like me who loves all things tech. There was a slight glitch in events and, though not the fault of the agency, Earl bent over backwards to make things work and assure a pleasant experience. I met Mr. Ward at a food court the day before I purchased my car yet I would not hesitate to recommend him and Kia to any of my friends and acquaintances. BTW, the rest of the team that I interacted with were gracious, courteous and eager to please. Trust me when I say you won't go wrong if you choose Kia the next time you think about buying a car.

The first thing I noticed was the friendly but not pushy or to aggressive atmosphere. I was referred to Mr. Earl Ward by a friend. So before I even came to the dealership I spoke with him over the phone and told him the car I was interested in. The finance department ran my credit and I received a call back that evening saying I could come pick up the vehicle. I was very pleased with the level of professionalism and would definitely go back in the future.

Despite the fact that I was dealing with one salesman but got to know almost everybody in there shows how friendly everyone was. My vehicle got totalled 6 days after purchasing & when i walked in literally everyone was checking on me and asking if i was ok. My salesman was very professional and certainly knowledgeable. I had previously gone to another dealership and they were not friendly and kept shuffling me between people. The entire process was terrible. Kia of Bowie was a completely different experience. I happened to wake up with a cold that morning, but Earl was friendly and tried to make the process as quick as possible so I could get my much needed rest. He was knowledgeable in the vehicle I had chosen and friendly. He had us laughing while some of the paperwork came through so the process didn't feel painful at all. I highly recommend Kia of Bowie and Earl Ward to anyone that tells me they're in the market for a new vehicle.

Earl Ward salesman of Kia in Bowie Md did a outstanding job he made me feel welcome and sent me home in a 2015 Kia with 22 miles on it. The General Manager Steven Jones and Fernando are on point they makes it possible to get a car they are very knowledgeable. Even towards the ending of signing my paperwork the young man in the finance office made me feel comfortable. When I spend my money I need to be handled like the employees of Kia handled me, I rate the a 10.

I would definitely recommend Kia of Bowie to other people. the employees were just great, everyone in there was generous, out going and hard working. The best part is they work with you. I went over there with a very low credit score and walked out with a 2016 Kia Forte.

Good customer service seems to something that just doesn't happen anymore. January 15, 2016, I started out looking for a used car and my experience with Kia in Bowie, MD was more than I could have asked for or thought I would receive. Salesman, Earl Ward phoned me and asked what vehicle I had in mind that I wanted. He took my personal information and proceeded to do more than I thought possible from his call. He responded back exactly when he promised with most of the business part of the deal already taken care of. I did not have a vehicle, and the salesman asked my schedule and arranged to have the dealership's company car pick me up. Long story short, I left driving a brand new vehicle! The transaction went smoothly and customer care - unknown to me from past experiences! All I needed to do was choose the vehicle color and test drive the vehicle. I ended up buying a Kia Cadenza for the price of an Optima. they found what i wanted and made it affordable for me without taking away any of the bells and whistles . Let me just say that my overall experience at Kia of Bowie was excellent. I went there with the intention of just to look weighing my options...when I was approached by Earl Ward. Before I went I had done some research and new what car I wanted a Smokey Blue 2015 Kia Optima. So Earl said let's take a test drive he took the time to explain every detail about the car...needless to say after the test drive I was sold! I came in on a a Monday morning aware that buying a car can take all day.. but as a busy single mom I didn't have all day! I was so grateful that the whole sales team respected my time limits and treated me so well. I was able to complete the purpose and still get my daughters picked up in time for their evening activities. The sales person Brandon was not "sales-y" and is a really genuine, good guy who taught me about the car and made me laugh too!

I'll start off by saying I had terrible experiences buying my last 2 cars. I wasn't knowledgeable about rates, etc and I had no clue how to negotiate a good "deal." That streak was broken a few days ago when I visited Kia of Bowie. Brandon and Mike both helped in finalizing my deal and picking out the perfect car. I went to Kia because my bank had approved financing at that location but had every intention of purchasing a Nissan or Toyota (there's a hub of dealerships located together). I knew nothing about Kia's and had no desire to even look at one. Brandon completely changed my mind when he recommended the Optima. He encouraged me to go online and read reviews and was very knowledgeable about their quality and history. Sidenote: Did you know Hyundai makes Kias? I didn't!I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and really appreciated everyone's patience in explaining the features numerous times. After test driving a few cars, I purchased a fully loaded 2015 EX and I couldn't be happier. I wasn't in the dealership all day/night and I felt that everyone (sales and finance) respected my time and worked to get me a great deal.I would (and already have) highly recommend Brandon and Mike for future purchases.

I always dread shopping for a car, it's long and daunting with a whole lot of back and forth of "this and that". Surprisingly, I received exactly what I asked for. The funny part was the extensive test drive that landed me in the task of grocery shopping. Steve didn't complain. The longest part wasn't even the negotiations, it was waiting for all the other purchasers to seal their deal before mine...SMH! That's a twist. Steve still shakes my hand every time I come in for service with that Colgate smile..

This was one of my most positive car buying experiences. They listened to what I wanted and met all my expectations including a fair trade in for my car. They were determined to find the SUV that met my needs and were very courteous and accommodating. The financing discussions were fair and communicative, no funny tricks. So i bought a mb glk 350 from these guys and I'm happy with the car. As soon as I showed up, Jay greeted me and helped me out. We took the car for a test drive and loved the car. The dealership was clean and the overall presentation was nice. The actual buying process was a bit long. Negotiating loan terms and vehicle pricing is never fun, it's easier if you have perfect credit, and an infinity sign where it says "balance remaining". Your experience may vary based on your credit and negotiating skills. Nonetheless, a deal was struck, and I can live with the terms. Of course, I'm writing this review based on the car not falling immediately apart after driving off the lot. I'll revisit my decision in a month. ....also there was some woman that tried to sell me extended coverages on the vehicle. You might experience her if you purchase a used vehicle from them. Didn't want to be mean, but like I just signed my life away I kind felt like her job is to throw salt in the wound. Nice lady, unfortunate task she has.

Every time I come to Kia of Bowie I'm taken care of immediately and service is always flawless! My first kia was purchased at another location and their service department was TERRIBLE. I started coming to kia of bowie for service and never looked back. I traded my 2010 last November for a 2015 optima and they made the car buying experience so simple. I received fair trade in value for my previous kia plus other deals that i qualified for. Lamont in the service department ensures I'm taken care of in a timely manner whenever I come for scheduled maintenance and my car remains in wonderful running condition.

I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the staff and speed in which my buying process was completed. There was not one person at the dealership that I worked with that was not helpful or pleasant...not one, from my salesperson, to the sales manager to finance to the receptionist. I would recommend them very highly. They even found the exact vehicle that I wanted even though it was not on their lot.

Kia of Bowie made purchasing a vehicle easy. My husband and I decided to spend our Sunday test driving new cars. We had absolutely no intentions of purchasing. When we arrived at Kia Mike (salesman) greeted us with a warm smile and a firm hand shake. Mike showed us cars and took the time to answer questions even though he as aware that we were just "looking". Mike was so kind, patient and not pushy. He made us feel like family. After several hours of being with Mike we came across a car that I totally loved. My husband was not convinced but by this time I was ready to ride away in a fancy new car. Mike was still not pushy. He introduced us to Steve Jones. Mr. Jones was just as nice, professional, and warm. Mr. Jones suggested that we take the car overnight and come back in the morning. Needless to say in the next day we purchased my new shiny car.Because of the exceptional customer service, feeling like we are apart of the family, and a great deal on our car we went back and brought a car for our daughter. If your looking for a car or "looking for a car go to Kia of Bowie because they will treat you right. We didn't have to haggle because they wanted to give us the best deal possible. They stayed late to complete the transaction, were very customer service oriented; Sales Manager Steven Jones, salesman Mike, the Finance guy Matthew, the receptionist that was on duty the night of 7/1 were extremely accommodating. They did not try to rush you, even though it was late. Everyone in the dealership, were very courteous, all management was very helpful. The entire dealership made you feel welcome and glad you stopped by. Excellent dealership, I would highly recommend them.

I found the truck I want online at Cars.com. I made an appointment with Earl at Bowie Kia. Earl was unavailable when I got there and Steve filled in. He was polite and helpful. The truck had had its catalytic converter stolen the night before so I could not drive it. In spite of that, with Tom, the sales manager, we made a deal which I thought to be very fair. Their finance manager, Matt, got me a better rate than I had gotten on the internet. I picked up the car a few days later and it is perfect!

Stopped by to pick up oil filters, and cabin and engine air filters. Firstly, dealer said they needed my VIN number in order to find my filters. Huh? It's a 2014 SOUL +; they all use the same filters. Secondly, the pricing is ridiculously high. Other KIA dealers charge half that of KIA of Bowie. RIP OFF. Will never use them again.

Let me begin with I love my new 2014 Soul. The experience which followed my purchase is shameful as well as unnecessary. I purchased an alarm system and a remote starter and for some strange reason no one including the sales manager Ariana Williams could schedule an appointment to have me come back in to have it installed. I must have called and left 10 to 15 messages before I finally reached Anthony in Finance who promised to help me. He kept his word and I finally had an appointment, almost a month after my purchase. When I arrive for my appointment I was advised "oops" the 2014 Soul cannot have both options. I ask so you refuse to schedule me for a month then you get me here and say we can't install what we sold you. Ariana attempts to pacify me and I am promised a credit to be sent to my lien holder which 2 months to the date still has not been processed. I looked at my phone history and I have contacted Kia of Bowie over 25 times in an effort to resolve my concerns. I would have gone in person however I live an hour away in "good" traffic. I have spoken with Ariana on at least two occassions. Once about 4 weeks ago she advised the payment had just been processed. I contacted her again on 12/7/14 and she promised to give me a call no later than 1:00pm yesterday (didn't happen) with a resolution and/or status regarding my credit. I called Kia of Bowie today 12/9/14 she of course was unavailable and I left yet another voice mail message. My next step is calling Kia Coporation. I am so disappointed with my experience. Not to mention I bypassed 2 other Kia dealerships that are much closer to give this location my business. I wanted so desperately to refer my son and mom to them but their lack of responsiveness has proven exhaustive...buy Kia just not from Kia of Bowie. Anthony in Finance and Lamont in service were outstanding. Earl in sales made every attempt to make things right but he is unable to correct managerial concerns. It is a shame the management doesn't handle calm, patient customers with proper respect.

I want to thank Earl Ward (Kia Sales) for a multiple of reasons. Mr. Ward has continually stayed in contact with me over the past 6 or 7 months and providing me information on new and pre-owned Kia vehicles. I visited Kia of Bowie on Saturday, Nov. 22nd and sat down with Mr. Ward for the first time. I want to thank Mr. Ward for his professionalism as a salesperson of Kia. Mr. Ward talked to me about the Kia vehicles and the different models of the vehicles. Mr. Ward was very interested in what I had to say as a consumer and did not try to sale me a vehicle that he knew I did not want. I test drove the 2015 Kia Optima EX and was instantly spoiled by all the features that was offered in that vehicle. Needless to say, Mr. Ward made my experience with Kia of Bowie very pleasurable. I chose not to get the vehicle the day I test drove it as I wanted to go back home and do more research on my own and review my budget. I returned the next day and met with the Finance Dept. (Arianna). My experience with Arianna was awesome as she was very patient with me and did most of the talking with my credit union to seal the deal on my newly purchased vehicle. Thanks Arianna. So, Kia of Bowie has my business in the future. I enjoyed my experience and I will refer my coworkers and friends to Kia of Bowie (Earl Ward, Sales) for the purchase of a new or pre-owned vehicle. I bought a new Kia Sorento on Sunday March 9th. At the time of purchase I also bought the interior and exterior protection the car that was offered to me by Carol. On Saturday March 29th I dropped the car off at Toyota of Bowie so they could do my interior and exterior. After picking up the car and strapping my car seats back in I noticed a black plastic cover that was just sitting on my back seat. Looking at it further I realized it was the cover that sits over top of the bolts that hold my 2nd row seat to the floor. The dealership had broke this and just threw it in the back seat. Did not say anything to my husband when he picked it. I called Carol immediately and left her a message on her cell phone to let her know what had happened and how displeased I was that it happened and no one even bothered to apologize or say they broke it. She never returned my call and when I tried a 2nd time to reach her I got her voicemail again. I then contacted my salesman Catrell the same day and told him what had happened. I took a picture of the piece and gave him the part number. He told me he would get it taken care of for me. After sending the shipment a 2nd time (it got lost in the mail the first time) I realized I had received the wrong part, I then told Catrell that this wasn't his problem to fix and I thanked him for trying to help. I then called the dealership and asked to speak to Carol's supervisor who I found out was Ryan. I explained to him the situation, that it had been 2 weeks and Carol never called me back. I told him I did NOT want to deal with Carol and I wanted someone that could handle it correctly. He told me he understood and he would get back with me. 2 days later Carol called me and left a message apologizing she hadn't contacted me because she was trying to go through the right channels to find the correct part. Also mentioned the part was on backorder and I should receive in 4-5 days; said she would be in touch with me again. I did NOT receive a part nor did Carol call me AGAIN. 5 days after I was expecting to receive the part, I called the dealership again and told the situation to Rick. He sympathized with me and took the part number again. He told me he would take care of it. 2 days later I called the dealership AGAIN and asked Rick if he had any luck with the part. He asked me to hold and I got a girl I was unfamiliar with. She told me Rick had asked her to answered my phone call. She knew NOTHING about what was going on and I had to explain the situation AGAIN to her. At this point I was totally irate and asked her to speak with Ryan and Rick's supervisor since even speaking to managers I couldn't get this simple part ordered and sent to me. She took all of my information and got with Rick and called me back within a few minutes. She told me the part would be in on Friday which means after all the phone calls the part WAS NEVER ORDERED!!!! I informed her that I do not live close to Bowie, like I mentioned to everyone else and it should not be my responsibility to drive there to pick up a part they broke. I also told her apparently no one in that dealership cares about taking care of their customers once they receive their commission for a sale. So here I am almost a month after they broke the part and I STILL DO NOT have it fixed. The part is not vital to running my car, it's just plain principal. I bought a brand new 30K car that within 2 weeks the dealership broke a piece on it and NO ONE wants to fix it!!! I should have never received the car back in the condition I got it and the fact that I've spoken to 2 managers that don't care anymore about their customers then their employees do is absolutely terrible! For something that was such a small issue they've managed to turn it into a huge fight! I also called the VP today named Randy today and left a message for him to call me so I could express my concerns with him and I haven't received a phone call back. I DO NOT recommend these dealerships in Bowie to anyone looking for a car. Once they have your money you're no longer their concern!!

Kia of Bowie, you have officially guaranteed that we will never use your dealership for service or to purchase a new vehicle. We dropped our Sorento off on Dec 23rd because it had been stalling intermittently. We agreed to leave it overnight, to give you time to take a look and try to figure out what was going on. I also asked for the tire pressure to be checked, and was told this is standard procedure with every car that comes in. The next day, after telling us you hadn't been able to replicate the problem, we picked it up from the sales dept. They handed over the keys without ever even asking what name the car was under. I asked for my copies of our paperwork, and they managed to give me the originals, with the technician's checklist stapled to it. I happened to look at the paperwork more closely after getting home, and noticed that the technician's checklist was completely BLANK. Not only did he not check my tire pressure, he didn't even do the standard check to see if THAT might answer some of the questions about why the vehicle had been stalling. I called the service department about this, and Lamont was apologetic about this. He indicated the technician was an "older guy" and apparently that was my explanation about why he didn't bother to look at my car during the TWO days we left it with the service department. I returned to the dealership after the new year, as I agreed to give Lamont his copies of the paperwork from the week before. By this time, my tire pressure light had come on, and I was extremely frustrated with my experience up to that point. Lamont had a different technician look at the vehicle that evening, and a part was ordered. They stated this *could* be causing the issue, and we could give it a try. Lamont also recommended we replace the engine and cabin air filters, because they looked pretty bad. The funny thing is, we bring our vehicle to you for oil changes, and just did a routine maintenance in October. How had nobody seen this issue before?!? Lamont said the part should be there by Thursday, that the replacement should only take about 30 mins when we come back, and he said he would call. He called on Friday, and said the part was in. We told him we would leave it overnight and pick it up Saturday morning, since it was easier than waiting there for the part and air filter replacements. We dropped it off around 5:30pm on Friday, and ended up calling at 1pm on Saturday, because we still had not heard anything. Sadly, nobody in service answered the phone, despite several attempts. We tried calling again around 3:00, and spoke with Lamont. He said they had not even looked at our vehicle yet!!!! He said he would call us when it was ready, and we confirmed that service closes at 5:00PM on Saturdays. At 4:40, we tried calling and again could not get anyone to answer the phone. We decided to drive over and find out what was going on, because I needed the car to drive to work on Monday. When we arrived, the vehicle was backed into a spot and waiting for us... as though it had been ready all along. Lamont just never bothered to call us. Lamont saw me walking in, and told me my car was ready. I told him I was here to pick it up even though he did not bother to contact me. When prepping my paperwork to check me back out, he advised the air filter was not replaced because they had run out earlier in the day. Isn't that why I dropped my vehicle off YESTERDAY?!? I asked him if he expected me to come back a THIRD time, and he indicated we could just wait since we will need our 60k mile service in about 8k miles. I asked him why he thinks I would want to keep the car until then, if this is the kind of service department I have to use, and he had no response other than "I understand". I told him i needed to leave because we were now late for dinner plans. He agreed to mail me copies of my paperwork, since he decided not to charge me after that incident. I walked to my car, got in, and wouldn't ya know it STALLED before I could even get out of the parking spot. That was January 11th. I still have not received my paperwork in the mail. I called on the 13th to discuss this comedy of errors, and Lamont offered excuses and apologies, but showed no effort to keep my business. He stated he would be ordering air filters and that we could bring the vehicle back in. I told him to call me when he physically has one for my vehicle, and I will bring it over. Twelve days later, he has not bothered to call about that, either. I am sure you will also be shocked to hear that my tire pressure light is STILL coming on. At this point, I have no reason to believe your service department has done, or will ever do, anything I have paid them to do in the two years I have been bringing my vehicle in. Not only will I never purchase or service a vehicle at Kia of Bowie again, I will be sure to avoid Toyota of Bowie and any other dealership that is part of RRR Automotive Group.

Kia of Bowie is near my home. I stopped by simply to test drive a Kia Sorento. I was undecided between Kia Sorento or Ford Explorer. But after speaking to Saleman Marcus Thomas I decided to purchases the Kia that day. Marcus was very energectic, motivated, and knowleable about all the Kia products. I truly value attention to detail and exceptional customer service. Marcus was overall very impressive and the primary reason why i made the purchase. On a single day, I emailed Jim Omeara, the manager, several times regarding a specific car listed of their website. I explicitly stated that I would buy the car at a price close to that listed on the website. I asked that he not waste each other's time by confirming that my offer was in the realm of an acceptable one. Admittedly, his response did not address the specific price but he did encourage me to come into the dealership and that we could do a deal on this car. I showed up that night and asked for Jim expecting to be dealing with him directly. After a small wait Jim came out and told me that Marcus would be taking care of us. OK, Marcus was great and we found the car to be exactly as advertised and exactly what we wanted.When it was time to talk numbers I was surprised to find that I didn't "qualify" for any incentives and that my price was actually about 5K higher. My counter was the price I had given Jim in the emails. Of course Marcus was flummoxed by this and needed to get Jim. This in itself was disappointing but not entirely unexpected. What I was mortified to discover was the reaction I got when I reminded Jim of my emails. His and the entire dealership's attitude became extremely adversarial and unwelcoming. There was no counter offer. And I was told that. "not everyone can be a KIA Bowie customer" and this was followed by a hench man saying "especially not you". I found this to be an extremely customer hostile dealership and I would encourage NO ONE to be a KIA Bowie customer.
