I wasn't sure I would be able to do it because I only had my Soul for less than two years but Mike Miller helped get into a KIA Sorento in less than two hours. That's impressive! Thanks Mike! I love the Sorento as much as you said I would. It's a wonderful car! Follow up, 4 years later, I still love this car as if it were brand new. I stopped using the KIA service department for routine maintenance because I moved further away and well, pandemic and stuff but the car still puts a smile on my face every time I approach it and it's been the very definition of reliable. She's also still very fun to drive, especially in sport mode.

Never felt any pressure to buy. My sales rep. Staci A. was professional and provided fantastic service. Although my wait time was over 6 hours, Staci made me feel like I was important and appreciative I understood the management's lack of personnel was a SNAFU and not a normal business practice. I went into Kia of Lansing just hoping for a car that was in better shape than what I was driving, and I left with something even better! Staci helped get me in to a 2015 Rio, which had a lot of extra amenities that I hadn't even thought about wanting (but that I'm glad I got!). Naturally, I was pretty frustrated that the passenger side window of my year old optima broke during this year's rainiest week so far. That frustration went away once I called and spoke with what seemed like the nicest person ever. When I dropped off my car I was greeted by that same nice individual (Jeremy maybe?). He was so pleasant. When I picked up my car later that day not only was the window fixed, but he had the guys wash the outside, wipe down my windows, and vacuum the inside. Each time I spoke with him on the phone or in person he was just genuinely nice. It was unexpected and was just such a relief. If he treats everyone with that much respect and care, then I hope you know how valuable of an asset you have on your team.

I was in an accident that totaled my old Kia back in August of 2015. I had purchased my vehicle from Kia of Lansing before and it was a great experience. Since I was on the market for a new car after the accident, I went right back to Kia of Lansing. I worked with a salesman named Ryan Swenson. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars that I was interested in. I was looking for a specific color (like my old Kia Optima) but there was not anything available used. Ryan looked around but there wasn't anything similar at any of the other local dealerships. He finally found a very nice 2013 Optima SXL which I liked a lot once I saw it and test drove it. A couple of weeks later I realized that I never got a spare key. Before I could call Ryan, he called me and said that he had one for me. I got really busy and forgot about it for over a year. Then I went in for a faulty sensor on my transmission (which was covered under the fantastic 10 year 100,000 mile warranty) and it hit me. I never picked the key up! I went to the sales floor and caught Ryan at his desk. I figured he wouldn't remember me but he immediately remembered that he sold me the SXL and joked that I never came to pick up the key. All in all I have had nothing but good things to say about Kia of Lansing and Ryan.

Very friendly service. Everyone greeted me with a smile. The service was fast it only took 35 minutes. They didn't charge me for things that didn't need to be done. My service plan called for a tire rotation at this inspection and an oil change. The only thing my car needed was the oil change so that was all they did and all I was charged for.

We came to this dealership specifically because we had an older car and we were trying to get the most for our trade-in. We did not NEED a new car. They listened to what I wanted and didn't try to force me into a specific car. They showed me options for our budget and my trade-in. In the end we purchased a Optima and are loving it so far. We've only had it for a couple weeks. There were a few cosmetic flaws (one from the factory floor most likely) but the service department cleaned them up right away, and ordered a replacement part for the other at no charge.

Mike Miller worked with me all day to arrive at a mutually agreeable deal and he followed through. Mike worked right through lunch and until after closing to deliver the car on Friday night and was coming back the next morning. He is dedicated to customer service.

My salesman D. Dodd was excellent answered all my questions and was very attentive towards me while waiting for final papers even when he was working with another customer. The managers there also talked and interacted with me answering questions I had about getting a new key fob so I could have two. Simply put...I would never buy another Kia due to the fact the service department is worthless. I am actually contemplating selling my 2012 simply because of this fact. Latest issue I have been dealing with them for over 2 months and I still cannot get an answer from them of when my car will be fixed....I cant even get them to call me back! Every time I call they tell me it will be a few more days and we will call you. They never call! I own a Chevy as well and every time I get service done I get a questionnaire from corporate regarding my satisfaction....if only Kia would do this!!!!

I went to the KIA dealership after buying my used KIA from a non KIA dealer. I went because the dealership I bought the car acted like I was a burden after they had taken my money. I went to the KIA dealership because I needed a spare key and a key fob programmed. I was acknowledged first by the service manager and from there my experience with every person I dealt with was outstanding. I ended up getting my oil changed, and any service needs I will go back. I observed them dealing with other customers who were apparently were repeat customers because they treated them like family. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and Jeremy the Service manager exceeded my customers expectations, he was outstanding, professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Mando was my salesman. He was awesome! He listened to me, was not pushy, and worked very hard to get me a good loan and vehicle. I hate car shopping and KIA was a one stop shop. I test drove a used KIA Soul; picked up my trade in from our mechanic; back to the dealership; and drove home with a Brand New KIA Soul. The whole process took less than three hours including picking up the trade in across town and taking time for an early dinner. I also, loved that there is a young man that sat in my new vehicle for over a half hour to show me all the bells and whistles and how all the hands free options work and he even set up my phone. That's really important for the technically challenged and a great service to provide.

My daughter took in her 2007 Kia Sportage for an A/C Compressor replacement. A standard labor rate you're thinking right? The bill close to estimate right? WRONG! Just because it took their "technician" longer that the prescribed time to do the job, she got charged extra! What a surprise! $55.00 and some change extra! Charged over $90.00 for an oil change a few weeks ago. Really? Changed 2 air filters in addition to the oil change. As a side note, the Kia sun visors are crap!!! Have replaced the drivers side twice at $66.00 each! Never had to change an American car visor!Also, when she was in getting "estimate" and pre-paying for the compressor, her twin babies in tow, no one bothered to offer her any assistance. Never even offered her a place to sit down! Customer service? Yeah right!

Kia of Lansing went out of their way to show great customer service. I was a Chevrolet Guy and never considered driving anything else. I did some research and found that Kia's get better ratings for similar GM vehicles, so I went to Kia of Lansing out of curiosity. I was greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable and professional salesman (Mando Orta). I also spoke with the Owner, Skip Young who was out on the floor working and greeting customers. This is how customer service should be done. Mando sent me out on the road twice to test drive two different vehicles. Told me to take as much time as I wanted. I was gone over an hour with each test drive. There was no hurry or pressure to make a decision. I actually left the dealership to think about my decision, and I wasn't chased down by a salesman. I can't say enough on how enjoyable my experience was. I was sold! I now love my 2014 Kia Optima. Thank you Kia of Lansing. My wife and I will be back in the fall when her Chevy lease is up.

I was in need of a low mileage used car and on a limited budget. I had been comparing ads and prices for months. There are 4 dealerships in a row so I planned to put on my game face and check them out. I have never considered a KIA before but the lot has a sizeable inventory and reasonable prices. I was greeted by Neil (I appreciated the time given to look by myself before seeing a salesperson. Neil took the time to listen to my needs, budget, and my trade in expectations. With Neil's encouragement, I drove 3 different models. Once I drove the Soul,I was amazed at its comfort, ease of handling, and perks.The negotiations were not grueling or high pressure. So nice not to be stressed. I ended being able to buy a new Soul. And I did not have buyer's remorse the next day. I was very pleased to have Dillon (the techy guy )sit patiently and explain all the options and equipment on my car. I really feel I could call any department and get the help I need. My salesman Ryan was awesome. Honest and genuine and he seemed to actually be interested in helping me. He listened to everything that I wanted and used the tools available to him to help make it happen. At the same time if certain things were out of my price range he politely let me know what my options were. I drove there from about an hour and a half away. It was entirely worth it. The Kia dealers near me cannot stack up to the service I received here.

I was having routine maintenance done on my Optima. I asked the gentlemen if they would wash and vacuum my car in addition to the oil change; they did it at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! I was honestly blown away. I was really impressed the chauffeur asked all his passengers if they needed rides back to the dealership once our vehicles were done being serviced. That by itself is a HUGE weight off a person's shoulders. Not having to worry about negotiating rides to and from the dealership is a wonderful feeling. My employer was also having his vehicle serviced that day, at another "BIG NAME" dealership and made comments about how he wasn't offered rides back and forth from work to the dealership. My honest response was, "well, maybe you should have bought a KIA"

Mando was the sales consultant we drew when we dropped in on Thursday, and it was a great experience from the beginning. I have to feel like the person selling me a product is not trying to unload an unwanted item if I am going to proceed with a purchase this large, and it was pretty obvious to me that Mando believes in the product. He is both personable and knowledgeable, which meant he answered all the questions my wife and I had and was able to fit me with a Kia Soul that I believe I will enjoy. At no time did I feel I was being directed to any particular vehicle, or feature. Quite the opposite, actually, and I enjoyed that difference.

I arrived with apprehension....waiting for the high pressure sales pitch. Then Neil Miller came out to greet me and much of the apprehension dissipated. Neil was friendly, knowledgeable and above all he really listened to me. Neil gave me the time and space to consider my decision. Ultimately I chose the Kia Sportage and Neil did a fabulous job having all of the paperwork prepared (I was short on time as I had family visiting from out of state) so I was in and out in minimal time. I met Matt when I went into to sign all of the paperwork....he too was friendly organized and listened to me. Neil then gave me a tour of the entire Kia dealership where I met Brandon in the service center. Brandon too was friendly, knowledgeable and confident. Then came the time to drive my new Sportage off the lot...Neil took the time to show me how all the little buttons and knobs work. Overall, from start to finish, the Kia experience has been wonderful. The Kia went in for the warranty recall for rusting on the front control arms. Lansing Kia sprayed the area and sent it on its way. Now the front control arm is rusted through, Lansing Kia says only the welds are covered, which is not what the Kia sites say. The car is unsafe to drive, the recall is "closed" because it was supposedly fixed. Going to Ann Arbor they at least have a good reputation.

Took my car in for some body work and ended up sending it back for oil light issues a couple times. After spending $2,000 on trying to fix the issue, it still wasn't fixed. The last time I picked up my car I turned the key to check my lights and my oil light did not come on. I showed them the problem and they asked if I was sure that the light even existed. I told them I took it to the shop because it came on. They then checked another car and said that it did exist. I asked them why my issue was not fixed and they said that it was, because the light was not coming on anymore and that I did not need that warning light; by the time the light would have come on my engine would be blown already. I was unhappy and they said that they could take another look at it. Mind you, they already took 3 looks at the same problem and came back with three different solutions. Took it for a second opinion and come to find out the wire that controlled my oil light was unplugged. My car is still broken after 3 months. So, in summary:It cost me $2,000 for them just to unplug my warning light and said that it is my fault.The service men did not know what comes standard on cars, they probably don't even know as much as I do if they don't know the oil light exist. They made me pay a lot for dart board fixes.They blatantly lied to me because they thought I don't know anything about cars. (They showed me the spark plugs that they replaced and said that they cleaned them so they look new is an example. Why would you clean used spark plugs for???)Then they put the blame on me and said that they would be happy to take another look at my car, if I was willing to pay more to get it fixed there.The service man ended up getting loud with me because I said that I spent $2000 there and my car still is not fixed in front of another customer.Don't take your care here, they don't know what they are doing and/or they are just trying to get more money out of you.I like my Kia, but next time I need service I will take it to Kia of Battle Creek or Ann Arbor instead; 1 hour away from where I live.Keep reading below, I am not the only one that got their stuff unplugged.

I went into this dealer looking for a kia optima and when I walked in was greeted my kody. He asked me how he could help me and he appeared surprised when I told him I was looking for a new car. We sat down and he instantly asked me personal questions about my financial situation etc which was a huge turnoff before I could even see a vehicle. He then asked for a credit app and after seeing that my credit was less then perfect asked for 3500 down or a cosigner. I was very turned off that he expected me to do any business with him if i hadn't even looked at a car. Why would i agree to a down payment etc if i dont even know if i like the car. He refused to show me a vehicle so i left...he didnt show any interest in doing business with me since i told him my financial situation. Definitely not wanting to see me in a kia like the commercial states. needless to say...i left and wound up buying a FORD from another dealer! !

Listen folks, if you have a Kia, go to these guys. No, I'm not an employee or getting paid...LOL. We bought a used 2004 Kia Spectra from some guy, for our daughter 2 years ago as her first car on her biirthday. Great little car, anyway, at the time, we took it into Kia of Lansing so they could give it a once over. They took care of us then, and made recommendations on what it needed in the future. Hadn't been there since, because we didn't have issues with the car. Took it to them today for routine service work (trans fluid flush, etc) that we wanted the dealership to handle. When I drove into the service receiving area, they not only recognized me with a very friendly hello and thanks for coming in, but also asked me how our daughter is liking "her first car." Service work was done properly, quickly, and with the utmost professionalism. Check out was very courteous and informative as well. I actually sent my wife a text, while waiting, saying that they were all very polite. If we buy a used or new Kia in the future, we will be coming here. The reason I write this, is because I work an industry similar to this, and it makes a HUGE difference to customers when you are treated well.

I bought my first NEW car ever from Kia of Lansing!!! I honestly never saw myself driving a Kia until I drove the Optima Hybrid. I was amazed at the quality of the interior and how nice the car handled. The service I received from Skip and Mando was great, I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy a new car.

I liked the willingness of the sales people to work with me. I had been to several other dealerships and felt I could only afford a used car. That made me nervous because of the "as is" clause. I am 60 years old and don't need the hassle of a broken down car in Michigan , in the winter. I told Kody what I could afford and he got me into a 2015 car for my budget.

I liked the honesty and integrity of my sales rep, finance persons, and the manager. Also, two kia employees that assisted me a few years ago are still there and either made contact with me or helped me with my paper work. The people at KIA are real people who are friendly, informative, service oreinted, and reliable. I can't wait for my next new purchase/lease in 36 months!

I found the sales and support staff to be genuine if their efforts to get me in a vehicle that supports my needs. I was not pressured at all with "This deal is only good if you buy today" kind of thing. I was allowed to shop a variety of vehicles and ultimately making my own choice with information provided by the staff that I felt to be honest, and accurate. I will say this was the most pleasant experience I've encountered when purchasing a vehicle and I've been at a few dealerships across the country and purchased a number of cars both new and used. As long as the product is what I believe it to be, I will most certainly make your dealership my first stop when I'm in the market for another vehicle. Thank you

I am an "all the bells and whistles" kind of gal when I purchase a vehicle, and not only did the Kia Soul Exclaim deliver that and more, but so did Kia of Lansing's dealership! I found Kia of Lansing via Cars.com since I could not locate a Kia Soul Exclaim with the whole shebang package in Grand Rapids, so I drove 60+ miles to Lansing. I originally went to the dealership only to view and test drive the difficult to find (due to high demand) Exclaim. KOL's internet team made it easy and welcoming, (and it was great to view the car and its options on the internet ahead of the meeting) and I was met at the dealership door for my appointment, discussed the vehicle, and test drove it. I was trading in my 14 year old Lexus RX SUV and was a little tentative about going to a different model and brand. Mondo and Eric couldn't have been nicer or easier to deal with for the whole transaction. I will definitely be going back in the future for an electric vehicle and recommending them to others.

How often is buying a used car a really great experience? Yeah, me too. I've bought 6 used cars, and 1 new car, most of them from dealers. At Kia of Lansing I can only say "Mando Orta is The Man". Friendly (not fake), positive, knowledgeable, and walks his talk in all facets of customer service. I strode into the sparkling Kia of Lansing dealership (showing pride in ownership) for my appointment to test drive a Kia Soul, and my salesperson was engaged on a long call with another customer. Mando Orta stepped in. He prepped the car, let me take my time checking it inside, out and under the hood, answered all my questions, and best of all let me test drive on my own. I had done my homework and knew this Kia Certified Used 2012 Soul w. a 6 speed manual transmission and 1.6 L gas-sipping but feisty engine - in Alien Green - was just what I wanted. A little while later I put a deposit on the car, at a fair price - especially since it was on their lot only 6 days - a nice throw in of some Kia accessories, and - they drove the car to me - about 75 miles to my home. Now that is service! Everyone - from Brandi the receptionist to Mando to the finance guy Eric and the manager (who met me at the door when I first walked in and later took my call right away this a.m. to go over the invoice) treated me with courtesy and respect. All the documentation was done perfectly, and the car detailing down to the nearly new tires and shining engine compartment was very impressive. Several other customers at the dealership thought it was new! Another woman resolved right then and there to get her 24 yr old son a 2012 Kia Soul! The volume they're doing at Kia of Lansing means they are getting fresh cars (new and used) on the lot all the time and their sales volume - largest in Michigan for Kia - makes them very price competitive. It "just don't get no better" - check 'em out.

Jeff made this experience extremely easy and fun for me. I have not made a big purchase like a car in a very long time and he talked me through everything. My daughter leased a car about 4 months ago and highly recommended Jeff. After all the paperwork was done, Jeff took us around and introduced me to all of the staff. My husband and I have never drove a Kia , and have never leased a car. We love our Kia forte. It has exceeded our expectations. Out three sons live in Grand Rapids, holland, and Elgin Illinois so we have driven a lot. We love the feel the great gas mileage and comfort. We felt Carlton did a great job. Still hesitant on the leasing and hoping that turns out to be a great experience for us as well. We have done our oil changes and are very happy with the service dept. we appreciate the appointment reminders and quick service. He listened to my needs and showed me some cars. Once I drove the Optima I fell in love! The ride was amazing and the standard features seemed to be endless. Hi my name is Jesse. I used to have blazer and let me tell ya G.M. is crap. Their cars constantly break down and they have millions of recalls and filed bankruptcy. In 2010 I brought my first brand new car kia forte. I fell in love with car. When I purchased it Ben showed me the ropes around KIA. The staff their are very friendly and caring. So then I purchased a 2012 soul and awesome dependable car. Again the staff and Jeff the salesmen was very reasonable and patient with our time. So just recently we traded in our soul and forte for a 2014 sorento and 2013 optima. I have been so impressed with the staff and especially Jeff and Skip to make the deal happend. I have referred 3 people to go their and they have all purchased a vehicle their. They have treated me with respect and care. I will continue my business for a new vehicle and looking to see what will be the next generation. If you have read this I encourage you to check them out. I leased a 2014 Kia Sorento in May of 2013. I was very picky about my wants and the sales manager worked with me to help me find exactly what I wanted and I couldnt be happier with my choice. I test drove several different Sorentos and ended up with a AWD v6. The salesman Eli was very helpful and accomadating as I moved my sons carseat from vehicle to vehicle to take him on the test drives with me, and even offered to watch my son as I test drove the vehicles. By the time I decided on the Sorento and did all of the paperwork it was late and I was ready to go home. They had me come back the next day and helped me set up my UVO account and went over how to use all the bells and whistles of the vehicle with me. As far as the vehicle goes, I LOVE IT! I wish I would have purchased it instead of Leased because I dont want to give it up. I have a feel my next car will be a Sorento as well.

I just wanted to voice my opinion on our visit to Kia of Lansing. My husband and I drove 3 hours to leave with one of there pre-owned vehicles and left empty handed and insulted. I originally spoke to Dan, which was a terrific help over the phone. When we got there we were given to a salesman who was apparently new because he didn't know any answers to our questions. When addressed by your used car sales manager. He insulted me by stating my trade in was a smokers car then stated the car we're interested in was expensive? (My car has never been smoked in and the only reason why he said this was because my husbands' a smoker. Which I may add don't smoke in my car either. HE DIDN'T EVEN INSPECT IT TO SEE IF IT HAD A SMOKE SCENT??) He then later stated that the vehicle were looking at was an expensive car? I've personally owned an Escalade and two Range Rover so apparently I'm aware of the expense. I went in pre-approved with our Credit Union for $42k-$48k loan and with $20k cash in hand. NONE OF THIS INFORMATION WAS ASKED BY EITHER EMPLOYEE!! The used car sales manager was completely unprofessional with his insults and I felt that he thought we couldn't afford this car with his rude comments which I can assure you is a complete joke. All they had to do was ask... Nevertheless, I just thought I would share my experience with this company and hope this site is shared with the owner, as well as help others not to take the long drive to come here!!!

I come to this location to get my oil changed. On my third visit for an oil change I left and my clock/radio was not on. I began pressing the button to turn it on and it still would not work. Immediately, I turned around and went back to the service station to notify them of this. The man I spoke with came over and said that he had no idea why it would not be working because the oil change has nothing to do with that. However, they provide you with a sheet that shows everything they checked on your vehicle which includes a full inspection of the vehicle, including the a/c unit (which was on full blast when I got into the vehicle and I didn't have it on prior because I rarely use my air). So, whoever performed the "review" would of noticed that none of that was working and they could of taken the opportunity to say something and they did not. From there, the man began to tell me that they could "look into the problem" but that it would require them to completely remove my dash to find it. Everything about his response felt very fake and phony and having common sense (and previous experience with an old car), I quickly told him "no" on his offer and left. I went straight home and asked my husband to open my fuse box to see if this was really an issue of my vehicle or something else (everything worked fine prior to my oil change) and the fuse was there but it was pulled out. A fuse is nothing that can just "slip" out - it has to be taken out by force, like with pliers for example. Once he plugged the fuse back in everything worked just fine. At that point, I reached out to the gentleman who sold me the vehicle because I could not get a hold of the main manager and he told me he would personally put in a call to the main manager, Skip Young. Skip called me back and left a message apologizing for the situation and said that he valued my business and would be available to speak with in person if necessary. I called him back and left a message to meet with him and he never returned my call. Up to that point, I never had any problems with their service but this situation has shown me I need to be cautious, particularly being a woman. At this point, my trust has been depleted, and as a result, they have lost all future business with me.

I stopped in towards the end of the day. I test drove vehicle and told them I was interested in it. Since it was late in the day they told me they would run my paperwork in the morning. They called in the morning and said everything was good, then sold the vehicle out from under me before I got out of work. The sales managers response its a cut throat business.

I told him I would take it and be there as soon as I got out of work. They sold the truck an hour later to someone else. The sales manager response was its a cut throat business.

I heard some radio ads about the specials Kia of Lansing had going on. When I called to get some more information the phone rep Ken was great. Very friendly and informative. I set an appt and when I arrived I was promply greeted and they even had the vehicle I wanted waiting for me. The sales process was smooth and I got a great deal on an new Kia Sorento. After 3 weeks of driving the Sorento I can say that it is the most impressive vehicle I have ever owned. Thank you Kia of Lansing. P.S. my sales person was awesome!

The service department appears to be concerned with the customer's satisfaction and vehicle. I have visited the service department twice since purchasing my Rio, for very minor issues (tape lft on the right side doors after prep, front wheel alignment). The service manager was very responsive and took care of the issues promptly.

I came in last week with my parents and bought a Kia Optima. I called first and talked to a lady who was very helpful in making an appointment for us to come in. Uppon arrival we were first greeted by Ken(?), who got us all coffee and made sure we were comfortable due to my mothers M.S. Not only did we get a great deal from Nick, we got to meet with the owner who is great! He made sure they answered all of our questions and even pared my phone for me so I could use my bluetooth. I would go back again, and will refer friends and family. GREAT DEAL!

I would say it's not a bad place to buy a vehicle, but can be a bit costly of a place to purchase a vehicle. And the buying process is a bit frustrating at times, but maybe that is how it is with most dealerships. the people are very friendly though. i almost didn't leave with a vehicle had it not been for someone who is a valued customer of this delearship, so because of that, I got my car. however, i wish they would go beyond for every customer to help them as much as they can to get a vehicle. because prior to that, they had turned me away. also there were a few things that needed done to my vehicle which i wish they would have done prior to me taking the vehicle home. they did alow me the opportunity to bring it in, but at some kind of cost which i didn't like, being it should have been included when i got the vehicle. and going back to get things repaired and looked at afterwards makes it seem like you are trying to "get over" or be a "pain" and i don't like that. but overall it's an okay place to purchase a vehicle or go for repairs.

I've never bought a new car before. I was somewhat skeptical when I came in as I am with all sales people. I was respected and all my questions were thoroughly addressed. I was out the door in my new car within a few hours and confident and satisfied with my decision. As I am today, two weeks later, after our first real snow. My new Kia is seriously fun! Skip is a traditional gent.
