My previous car rusted and back struts worn off. I contacted Kia of Wilmington in the morning and was introduced to Larry Price. I had to work the rest of the day, but Larry made time after my work hours to meet with me and discuss options. His experience and down to earth discussions about my situation and the car that best fit me was truly exceptional. Not only that, he was there with me past business hours until a decision was made. There are not many car companies left that give you time like that (This was on Thanksgiving Eve so that made it all the more exceptional)!!!! Mr. Larry Price stayed late, answered all of our questions and concerns and gave us the time and shared his expertise so that we were completely satisfied with our purchase. The dealership closed at 8, however, by the time we wrapped it up including financing it was closer to 10. I wish I had paid more attention to the name of the person who processed our financing application but he also went out of his way to make sure we understood all of our options. What a great experience! Larry was awesome!!!

Angie contacted me almost immediately when I first inquired about a car on Friday, I told her I actually wasn't 100% on what I was looking for and that I was just starting the process. There was absolutely no pressure at all to get me in there, but plenty of information given to me so I knew when they were available and who to contact when I was ready. I let her know my boyfriend and I would be buying the car together but he works Saturday's and that I would check with him about coming in on Monday. I had contacted a couple dealerships and all wanted me come check the cars out on Saturday, so to get a head start I decided to go with my mom to help me narrow down some final options to go back to with my boyfriend. On Saturday morning, I received a text from Jason Glover at Kia letting me know he would be working with me when I was ready and that he just wanted to give me his cell number if I had any questions before i came in on Monday. I let him know that I wasn't positive but that I might try to stop by that day. His response was simple "not a problem I'll be here, and I'll get the car ready for you just in case you stop by" Again, no pressure, just there for me when I was ready. I went to the first dealership I had scheduled, and I told the salesmen what I was looking for, and I was just trying to narrow my choices down for us to come back. He said my budget didn't matter and just kept trying to show me cars on the showroom way beyond my price point. His supervisor told him right in front of me do whatever it takes to get me in a car that day. They knew I wasn't looking to buy, especially without my boyfriend, and continued to push a sale regardless. I decided after I left to just swing by Kia of Wilmington to see what they had. As soon as I got there I met Angie in person--just as friendly and sincere as our first phone interaction. She was so excited I decided to swing by and immediately got Jason for me. Jason's first question was what I was looking for and if I had anything in mind. I explained my same situation as to the other dealers and he said let's see what we can do to help you decide. While he went to get the car i was originally interested in I was looking at their other certified cars available and found one I instantly loved but didn't see on their website before. When he came back to say unfortunately the car i liked had been sold I knew it was a sign and asked to see the Kia Optima. He took me to it, answered every single question, and gave me every bit of information I was looking for. I told him i honestly didn't know much about kias and wasn't even thinking of Kia as an option until I got there. When we were done he said now go home to your boyfriend, talk things over, do your research and figure out what's best for you. I'm confident that'll you find this car is the better choice for you but want you to feel the same. Jason was available the rest of the weekend when I was texting him; and he was right, after hours and hours of researching ratings and reviews and other options, i kept coming back to how much I loved that Kia. Before the weekend was over we were decided--we loved the car and it was the one for us. Throughout the day Monday I worked with Jason through text, email, and phone, to get all the paperwork and documents needed. Monday night chris and I showed up and we're honestly treated like family. Between Angie and Jason, they honestly were the biggest role in our final decision. Jason took care of us and got us everything we were looking for. He made our first car buying experience one to remember and lifelong customers. I couldn't be happier to be a Kia owner and am proud to be a customer of Kia of Wilmington. Thank you Jason and Angie! You helped us do what's best for us, and not what was best for your company. It's a true reflection of how the car buying process should be!

I have chosen to give a 5 Star rating to this dealership for the following reasons:1) The quality of their automotive service is remarkable. They are kind, considerate, extraordinarily customer focused, equally as knowledgeable and honest, and foremost easy to deal with. I have been dealing with them for 2 years.2) The quality of their sales department is every bit as cool as the service department. They listened to my wife and myself regarding what we needed and wanted in a car and recommended those cars that would not only meet our needs, but also many (if not all) of our wants. This was all done keeping in mind our very low budget and time considerations. NO High pressure tactics or "tricks" were ever utilized in my opinion. Fair pricing, (especially after researching on the internet before and after the sale). The sales person (Larry) as well as the financial representative (Mike) were professional, courteous, and friendly towards both my wife and myself. More importantly, they treated us as equals, not just giving the both of us lip service.3) I had to travel an hour to get to the dealership from my home, passing many other dealerships along the way. It was so well worth the trip.4) They met us at the door, a potential car opportunity already for us to test drive, (Didnt rush through that either), Offered us refreshments, and a very comfortable private office to sit and work in.5) In summary, please look these folks up on the internet, call them, and interview them. You will not be disappointed and we believe pleasantly surprise.

The wait was enjoyable. As I sat there I was told they would be putting in charging stations so that you could charge your phone computer etc. while you waited which will come in very handy. Vehicle went in for power steering leak and seat issue to get checked and estimates. Dealership decided without notifying us to go ahead and start working on 2 recall items. Thus unauthorized work and vehicle had to stay another day. Next day given estimates of 1200 for PS and 1500 for seat. Elected not to do either at this time due to lack of funds, but asked if they could get driver seat back up, was stuck reclined. They were able to do this. Picked up car, but wasn't given any service ticket. Noticed engine making noise and wanting to stall out. Complained to dealership salesman since service was closed. Salesman was very understanding and helpful, Larry Price, and recommended leaving the car so the service team could look at it on Saturday. We did this. Next day the vehicle wasn't hardly looked at, told it wasn't anything they did, but need another day to look at it. Total mess now engine idles high and very noisy. Basically, they messed up my vehicle, tried to charge us 1500 for a front seat when they could get the seat back upright, worked on vehicle without permission for the recall items, very poor with notification on any of the days as we had to call them most of the time and here is probably the worst thing they did, I believe. On the slip we received the second time we picked up the vehicle they put that the vehicle was 3 qrts low on oil, which it wasn't when it went in. I checked the oil the next day (dark when got home) and found it extremely overfilled. I changed the oil and estimate it was at least overfilled by 2.5 qrts. My opinion is that this dealerships mechanic intentionally overfilled our vehicle with oil, because of our complaints!

The deal on the used vehicle looked good until we questioned the fees. Seems they included a $449.00 "document" fee that they forgot to mention and $699.00 for gap insurance which we did not request. As a senior citizen, I have purchased many vehicles and have never run into a document fee this high. This was just their way to increase the cost of the vehicle, so the deal was not as good as we thought . Plus, the car was dirty when they delivered it. This used to be a quality dealership, but they have gone downhill. Will not return.

The sales people were horrible to deal with. We went there looking for an AWD vehicle because we were trading in one and needed to make sure that our next car was going to at least get up our driveway when there is snow. Unfortunately my wife loved the Optima in the showroom and they had a fully loaded Optima demo for a decent deal. We know that FWD is not as good as AWD but our Mazda CX-9 was still able to make it up our driveway (barely but how often was it going to snow out of the year). My wife asked them a lot of times how it was in the snow and how the tires perform. The sales person and the sales manager both said that they have driven that car with those tires in the snow and the car performed excellently. They lied. The first time we got less than an inch on the ground only 2 months later, the car's tires had no traction at all. I looked up the tires ratings (something that I will not forget to do at the time I buy again) and they had the worst ratings I've ever seen on any tire. When I called them to tell them about this they said there was nothing they could do. When I pushed further the sales manager stated that she will call the Kia rep to she what they can do. Every time I called she said that she was trying to get a hold of him but never would call me back. I was on her for 3 months. More than enough time to get in touch with the rep. When she finally said that she talked to the rep and he would look into it, I never heard from the sales manager again. She would not take my calls and wouldn't call me back. She was always busy. I was never mean or raised my voice, only a persistent concerned customer that called many times every week for a few months. They lied to my wife and I just to get the sale and when they gave us the car it was running on fumes. They said that they would get us 2 free tanks of gas but never made good on that promise. Our car went in for something to get added on to it and I told them many times to fill it up then for free and they said that they would do that but then never did. They blamed it on miscommunication because they said they needed to get authorization from the sales manager to give me the free tank and, guess what, the sales manager didn't know anything about it and had to look into it. So instead of looking into it at that time we just got the car back without gas again. When I called up about it she said that she would look into it again. A few days later I finally got a hold of them again and she said she would do it for me and I could stop by at a any time. When I stopped by after work after waiting for a while I got told that I needed to be there earlier. I was so fed up with this dealership I never went back to them for anything again. The Kia sales people will lie and cheat just to make the sale a promise things they can't deliver on. We leased a car from the Mazda side and I worked for Hertz rental cars and dealt with many of the sales and service people in Mazda and Honda before and they were all great but the Kia people are horrible liars.

Found a 2012 Kia Soul on Web page with an e special price. Contacted Dealer via email and was given same price. Set up test drive appointment and drove an hour to Dealership. Met salesman and took car for test drive. Upon my return to Dealership we sat down to work on deal. I had gotten pre - approval for my loan from my credit union. Low and behold because I was not using Dealership Financing the price of the car was now almost $1000.00 more. Are you kidding me. Needless to say I walked and they are out of a sale of a fully paid for car. There's something wrong with this business practice. Don't believe the E Pricing.

Unfortunately, my family had the WORST experience at this dealership. My parents set out to buy a car for my niece and the experience turned into a complete nightmare. They traveled over two hours to purchase a car and were treated like second class citizens! Jim DiMatteo and staff were very unprofessional, re-negged on an oral agreement, shady and very rude. Needless to say, no car will ever be purchased at this dealership. The owner and KIA should be embarrassed about how operations are being run here! So disappointed.

I bought a used car on Christmas Eve because my car died. Of course the car dealership/ sales person was quick to roll out the red carpet while I was in the process of buying the car. Once I signed my name they quickly forgot my name. Because of the short notice of needing a car I didn't get the full effect of how much I got duped until I was able to sit down and really read the fine print. Long story short I bought an waaaay overpriced piece of junk. I could almost let that slide if I could get someone from that place to actually do what they are suppose to do. I set up a meeting to discuss the issues I was having and the person I was suppose to meet me wasn't even available for the meeting. I was told they would call me. 3 weeks later and still nothing. 6 months later and I have a car with no tags. DMV has been nice enough to work with me since the dealership is not. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Bought car Dec 26, 2012. Today is March 25, 2013... still waiting for registration. On Dec 26...Walked out and looked at 2 cars. No test drive yet, but when we returned, there were finance numbers on the table for us. I was told I could not afford the car I wanted. Ummm... I got the car I wanted and paid $200 less then their original quote! (honest)Bought car without extended warranty cause I buy new every 4 years. (We declined this and the service contract with Erin the finance mgr.)But They added ext. warranty anyway As well as a service contract that I said I DID NOT want cause we use Firestone for oil changes. I called the finance mgr as soon I got home... They finally agreed to refund extended warranty. a week goes by and had to call about resigning contract... they said they sent the $ to bank to apply to principal of the car loan. (Really?)Oh and did I mention that this was the 3rd car my family had bought in the last 3 MONTHS from this dealer? (and the last).Demanded they contact the bank and redraw the contract as agreed when we purchased the vehicle. They agreed but it took 3 weeks. Went to resign contract and was told I may have to wait anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours cause they would not interrupt the finance manager cause it could upset the customer she is with! (honest)Finally resigned the contract for the correct amount with reduced my payments by $75+ per month.Still waiting for my registration. They had to reissue me t-tags cause mine expired only after I refused to leave with expired tags. (yes they told me that they would pay for any ticket I may receive.) It was only after I demanded that in writing did they magically come up with new t-tags!Disgraceful!Fortunately I absolutely LOVE MY KIA OPTIMA EX!!!!

Go see Anthony. If you are debating between Martin Kia in Newark Delaware or somewhere else go to Kia of Wilmington. I had many problems trying to buy at martin Kia with their bad attitudes. Plus I was offered a better deal at Kia of Wilmington :)

Okay, so we went in there on Monday, January 31st, 2011 and asked the first available salesman about the 2011 Kia Optima. He immediately responded that they do not sell the Altimas, and if I want one, I should go to another dealer instead.Well, Kia has the Optima and Nissan has the Altima, that much is true. Too bad the Kia of Wilmington "salesman" was not told by someone over there that Kia is supposed to be making and selling the Optimas, and not some other car maker. Maybe I should go over to a Nissan dealership next to see if they have the Kia Optimas?There is one other Kia dealership in Northern Delaware, in Newark, so I went over there as well. I was told they have two Kia Optimas (at least they have heard of this new Kia model!!!), but then they said that they had none of them at the dealership, after all, but instead I should go to over Christiana Mall (quite a distance away) and look at the Optimas parked over there at the entrance to the new Target Superstore! I kid you not.I did not go there, obviously, and will in fact drive up to Pennsylvania next to see if these Kia dealers are of the same overall quality there as well. I may go to one or two more Kia dealers, and if this incompetency continues, will simply pick another brand. Too bad for Kia spending so much dough on fancy TV spots on their Optima, when their dealers obviously cannot sell the car.
