Summer of 2018: The sales guy was polite and seemingly willing to help. Unfortunately that good impression didn't last when management got involved. I was a new arrival in the country with stable income but no credit history, obviously. I was considering an old BMW SUV, so on top of fleecing me something about 20% APR, they tried to impose made-up "risk" fees or whatever. Worst of all, with their attitude they tried to make me feel a second-grade person for not having credit history. Maybe if the owner gives the employed sales people more decision-making freedom, things will be better.

Easy experience. Easy purchase. The communication on money was off, but I'm happy with my vehicle. I haven't had any severe issues, but I will be visiting their mechanic very soon. It definitely needs a few fixes that should have been made prior to me picking up the vehicle, but I would like to keep my faith in the fact that they will honor the warranty that I have and fix the issue. I'll update my review once I deal with the mechanic and let you all know how it goes there.

Brad and Amandio were awesome in helping me get into a new car. They were flexible to my situation and super knowledgeable about how to help. A day after I walked onto the lot, I walked off it with the car I wanted at the price that I wanted. They don’t use the slogan “hassle free” but they definitely should. The easiest car-buying experience I’ve ever had. I recommend King Richard’s and you should ask for Brad when you get there!

So I had to come back and put a much better review. I was pretty harsh with my first review become my fiancee had bought a car that she literally drove 4 times before having problems with it. We brought it back to the dealership a couple days ago and today she heard from King Richard himself. He made her feel at ease and assured her that the issues were going to be taken care of. So I apologize for the first review that I left and just want to say thank you so much for righting this wrong. I would definitely recommend this place to absolutely anyone looking to buy a car! They definitely treat their customers the way they should be treated!

Run, run away from this place!!!! Don't even let your mind let you do business in this place!!! I went there with my dad asking if i could test drive a Corvett, they gave me a horrible look and attitude, even sweared, told him to not swear as i am with my father. First they wanted to do a credit application, even after a showed them proof that i was already pre approved, second, they wanted to do the deal before i even driven the car!!!!! What kind of business is this!!!! I already purchase several vehicles before even new (3 new ones and 7 used) reviews in yelp can serve of proof, but NEVER EVER was in a dealership like this one with people SOOOO rude and DISRESPECTFUL with HORRIBLE Bait and switch tactics!!! Do yourself a favor, run away from this place!!

I picked up my new car on Tuesday and it was ready as promised. This dealership has a huge selection of cars to choose from. Armandio was our salesman and he made the experience and stress of buying a new car easy. He got us in the car we wanted and let us take our time in selecting it. I highly recommend King Richards, if we ever need another car I would not hesitate going back. For a pleasant experience i strongly suggest you ask for Armandio. You will be glad you did.L. Dantone

I wouldn't send an enemy to buy a car at this "dealership". From start to finish just an awful experience. The owner of this extablishment should be ashamed of himself for the way he treats customers.

I made an appointment with them after seeing a car on the website i was interested in. When i walked in all employees were sitting on their phones and were not welcoming at all. Then i asked about seeing the car i made an appointment for and they already sold it an hour before i was coming in...i would not come back ever again or recommend this dealership to anyone

My girlfriend and her mother went in to the dealership to look at cars and possibly fill out some paper work to purchase one, not only were they ignored and left waiting for 20 minutes but when they were treated rudely and very disrespectfully.... They went to look at other cars in the dealerships lot and finally someone came out side but because they thought they were ganna deal only with a young woman and not someone who knew what to look for there attitude changed completely and started getting an attitude then finally just left them in the parking lot and turned around and went inside without saying anything to either one of them.....after a week or so they called her back and asked if she had found a car and if she could recommended those dealership to people around town, when she said she had found a car they hung up on her being once again completely rude, disrespectful, and Unprofessional.... Myself nor my girlfriend for her mother will ever recommend this to anybody if you read this please save your money and time and go somewhere else !!!!!!!!!!

It was bad experience! The sales man AG was manipulating and rude, and wasn't helpful at all by far the worst experience I've had buying a car

Bait and switch tactics. Advertised price $1,000 below sticker. Fine print says $1,000 cash due at sale (above advertised price). After verbal deal, $1,000 above advertised price, can't find the title. They relisted the vehicle another $1,000 higher. They keep telling me they'll call me back, never did. Lied about selling me the vehicle. Lied about calling me back. Dishonest people, both the sales manager Paul and the sales woman Diana.go to CarMax to sell your vehicle, much better price. not affiliated with CarMax, just a happy customer.

I purchased a gently used SUV about 3 weeks ago from King Richard's. At first, I thought it was a great experience. The salesman seemed honest and the price of the car was good. I left with the car that day and the whole process took about 3 hours. The registration process was quick and painless. HOWEVER, the customer service in the repair shop = HORRIBLE!!! About a week after having the car, the brakes were making a loud noise (mind you, when I purchased the car, the salesman said it had new brakes all the way around). I called the repair shop (no one ever answers and it is a constant game of phone tag) and was told to bring the car in. The man who answered was very short and didn't even let me explain what was going on with the car, he just rushed me off the phone. I got there and went for a ride with a mechanic to show him what the car was doing. I left it there for the day and was called by a salesman (not even someone from the repair shop) and he said my car was ready to be picked up. I got there and no one knew what they fixed on the car. I called back the next day and the mechanic told me the front brakes were done but the car was still making the horrible noise. He said it was because the "brakes needed to be worn in". A week later, the noise was worse. I called back and for a few days I played phone tag. Finally, I spoke with a VERY RUDE mechanic. He didn't let me get a word in and constantly talked over me. I find out that he is, in fact, the OWNER!!! How can the owner of this place talk to his customers that way!?!? He said I can drop it off but they "usually don't cover brakes". WHAT?!?!?! First of all, my car is under warranty for 30 days. 2nd of all, how can you sell a car with horrible brakes (they wouldn't even pass inspection) AFTER the salesman told me they were new?! I am now bringing it back again today and hopefully I never have to deal with them again!

I purchased a car from King Richards about a week ago, I had the pleasure of working with Kyle, he walked me threw every step of the process and help me pick a vehicle I liked and could also afford. I have bought many cars from lots of dealerships and this was by far the best experience!!!

the vehicle i purchased was good, but their customer service is terrible, they lied to me from the second i walked in the door, i was told my lien holder required me to buy gap coverage for 800$, my fault for not reading the miles of fine print on the stack of documents you have to sign, the vehicle had bald tires and i agreed to buy it if they would put new tires on it, Miguel the manager agreed and shook my hand then i arrived to pick it up the tires were not changed and a fresh inspection sticker was put on the vehicle? i had to argue to get used tires put on then a fist fight broke out between employees over as box of rags!! Believe me they do not care about anyone and will lie to your face over and over to make a dollar, do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here!!!!!!!

I recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Avenger in October, 2014 from King Richard Auto Sales. It was a great experience. From the moment I walked into the dealership I was welcomed and treated with a great deal of professionalism and respect. Their sales manager greeted me warmly and had a sales person, Dan, explain to me about the vehicle. He answered all my questions. His knowledge of the vehicle and his presentation made me feel comfortable, that the dealership I was dealing with, was interested in meeting my expectations. I enjoyed having a no pressure process of purchasing and financing the vehicle. Miguel, the sales manager and Amandio, the finance manager were professionals all the way through the process Now that I have had my vehicle for a week I am convinced that I not only made the right decision about my vehicle, but about the dealership as well.

Just had to write in and let you know that I love the car that I bought here!!! I'm constantly getting compliments, and it's in such great condition that everyone just assumes it's a new car. It's been a really long time since I've owned a car that I can actually be proud of, and it makes all the difference in the world. Anyway, I have to say that even buying the car was painless. They take an experience that's normally difficult and it make it all so easy. The owner was right there and helpful with any questions I had. I've been sending my friends over there now. Rich T.

I was amazed at the selection of vehicles at King Richards and how easy it was to purchase a car. They helped me choose the car that fit my needs and were able to secure financing even though I do not have the best credit. The staff made me feel special during the entire process. I had been to a few other dealers and did not receive the same treatment. Not only was I impressed by how professional and kind the staff is I was equally impressed by how beautiful and clean the building and showroom are. This place is the real deal !!! They will go out of their way to service you. I'll be sure to tell everyone about the great experience at King Richards.

So...I finally had to give my old car the heave-ho, and it was an emotionally draining experience. I was familiar with all of its quirks, the way it ran, and I was used to getting excellent gas mileage. I couldn't be sure if a new auto would be as good as my old one. But I have to say that my fears were settled as soon as I called and spoke with one of the salespeople. They were really considerate and understanding, and actually had knowledge of my past car! They're real "car people" here, and once I came in, they were able to pull out a few cars that were most similar to my car that I'd told them about over the phone. I was really pleasantly surprised! They took the time to get to know me, and now I have a vehicle that I'm really happy with

Traded in my old car (got a great price for it) and got into a newer one. My experience was great. Treated like I was a personal friend - received a great deal. They took care of everything for me - I didn't have to worry about anything. Definitely would recommend!

While searching the internet for a "new" used car I found one that fit my criteria at King Richards Autocenter in East Providence, RI. I called the dealership to check the availability of the vehicle that I was interested in and after speaking to a very courteous and knowledgeable salesperson I scheduled an appointment. When I arrived at King Richards I was amazed at how beautiful and modern the building is. Then I was impressed with the amount of inventory on the lot.......they have anything that you may be looking for. I was greeted by the owner Richard who treated me like family. He gave me a tour of the facility, which is spotless and inviting. The service department is immaculate !! Richard then introduced me to his manager Miguel who made me feel very comfortable and welcome. After looking at a few cars I made my decision and at that point the rest was flawless. I got the car that I want at a great price and a better finance rate than my own bank ! Richard, Miguel and the whole staff treated me with respect and really made me feel welcomed at their dealership. I'll be a customer forever and I look forward to my next purchase. You can bet that I will refer everybody to King Richards.

This dealership is shady!!! I bought a truck here which had to be brought back 2 times for service in less than 3 weeks. We kept leaving messages for the service department and NOBODY calls you back. We finally just drove the truck back and left it with them. When you ask what is wrong with the vehicle that YOU purchased (that is still under the warranty) or what has been done to fix it, nobody knows ANYTHING! They won't give you any documentation stating what work was preformed because as the owner states, he doesn't have to because " you didn't pay for it to be fixed!" Why would you not want your customer to have a record of what your service department supposedly fixed RICHARD??? What are YOU trying to hide? Not one person who works here has knowledge about anything, if you ask a question they throw their hands up and say " you have to talk to Richard"! He is never there. I only met him this one time because I was trying to find out what was wrong with my truck, what was done to fix it & it get some type documentation of the repair. I stopped by without him knowing and FINALLY caught him. You would have thought I was asking for a million dollars, there is a bigger reason why he won't give anything stating his service department work or lack of it. When I said I would never recommend this place to anybody, Richard's reply was " I would never sell you a car again"! As he jumped in his car and drove away!!! That is some good service coming from the owner, who is far from being a King!!!!

This was the first time I purchased a car by myself (without my husband) and I was nervous to be completely honest but people at King Richards were super patient with me. I am a traveling salesman from IL. I found king Richards when I was looking for a Mitsubishi dealer to get my old Mitsubishi fixed turns out it was a former Mitsubishi dealer but now it's used car dealer. They treated me like a guest from out of town as I was and I end up trading my car. I had to pleasure to deal with the owner Richard because we bumped heads with the salesman first... It turned out to be a great deal. I think I gave them more hard time than they expected but these guys are great, I would recommend King Richards.

If I could give a negative amount of stars, I would. I went to King Richard's to purchase a used vehicle. During the test drive, the brakes were grinding loudly. The salesman said that if I bought the vehicle, they would fix the breaks. Foolishly, I took him at his word. I was buying in cash, no financing. The process took 3 hours. They would not accept my debit card because they didn't want to pay the fee to accept a debit card transaction. I had to go to the bank and withdraw thousands in cash for them. When I called to make an appointment to have the brakes fixed, the owner was rude and dismissive. There were other problems with the vehicle and he acted as though I was annoying him and wasting his time. After they "fixed" the brakes, they were still grinding. I brought the vehicle to my own mechanic. He said the brake pads and rotors were shot. I had my own mechanic replace the parts and I kept the bad pads and rotors to show the dealer. When I spoke to Richard, the owner of this dealership, he said that the brakes were fine and I was a liar. He proceeded to yell at me and tell me that the mechanic who fixed the vehicle was a liar. He told me I was stupid and got ripped off by my mechanic. Apparently, everyone lies but him. He refused to honor the 50/50 warranty. He said he would only honor the warranty, if he was allowed to have it fixed at his dealership. I paid 555.29 to fix his mess and he refused to pay anything. He was yelling at me about the cost of pads and rotors. I asked him if he was even willing to pay 75 dollars and he said no. He then had Miquel call and ask me if I wanted to "unwind" the deal. He already had my trade in, which he started advertising almost instantly and I had the vehicle I purchased from him fixed. I was not about to "unwind" the deal when I put over 500 dollars into the vehicle. I am guessing that the only reason he wants to "unwind" the deal, is that he knows he is wrong and if I pursue this, he is in trouble. They put this car on the lot with bad brakes to begin with. Then, they were offered a chance to fix them and they didn't. Brakes are a safety issue and he didn't even care. I got very little for my trade in and I was ok with that because I know it had problems. But they started advertising it as some great deal as soon as they got it. They also are advertising it with a feature that I know it doesn't have. I know they are lying about my trade in because I bought it new and was the only owner. Sad that I found out about how they do business after I bought from them. I bought in good faith and in cash. The owner's behavior towards me has been downright abusive-yelling, calling me a liar etc..I can't even begin to imagine how he treats people he finances. I am guessing the only reason he stays in business is because he finances people with bad or no credit and takes advantage. The owner of this dealership is a downright bully! He yells at and berates his customers. He is rude and verbally abusive! Stay away from this dealer. There are other dealers that will treat you with respect. "king" Richard treats his customers like minions. I also notice that he responds to his many bad reviews and likes to act as though everything is a misunderstanding. Don't fall for it! If he really wants to make things right, he should honor his word and his warranties.

I am a type of person who will write a review if I am not happy with people I am dealing with, but this time I am going to take my time and write a positive review for this dealership because they did everything right. I don't have great credit score so it was tough dealing with car dealers they treat you like less of a person but King Richards treated me with respect and they were straight up through the whole process and they got me approved on a car I wanted. I am super excited about my gorgeous car and finally being able to get a car loan. I will definitely send you guys customers, Oh and give Mike a raise he was a real gentleman. Thank you.

I went there for an oil change but I end up buying another car while I was there :-) Good people, they treated me well, and I believe I got an awesome deal (not the mention my whole family is in love with our new family vehicle).

Just came home with my second purchase from these guys and I must say that I am happy with the whole transaction, my car and I appreciated when the owner Richard took his time and personally got involved with my deal. Thanks guys I guess I will see you 4 years from now.

Less than 2 months ago, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac STS from King Richard's Auto. I've heard in the past that King Richard's wasn't a good dealership from numerous people on separate occasions. These people I am referring to don't know each other but are familiar with the dealership in one way or another. I WENT THERE FOR THE CAR, not for the dealership! I had been eyeing these Caddy's for a while. While I test drove the vehicle, everything appeared to be in working order. The car drove beautifully. However, I tried to step on the gas a little and the sales lady told me she would let me know where there was a good area for that. That time never came. She directed me through the whole test drive. Got back to the dealership and negotiated the price. 4 hours later into the whole process, price didn't budge. They responded that they mark their cars low on the internet(where I originally found the car) in order to bring customers in. They leave no room for negotiation. The car was actually a grand more in person. Long story short, I ended up buying the car. No gas, no change in fluids. From oil to windshield wiper fluid, nothing was done to the car. That night I noticed the buttons in the car don't light up. Wasn't the fuse, so I made an appointment. Before the appointment, noticed that the car would buck on the highwayat2000 rpm. Engine light flashing during all this, but didn't stay on. Brought it to AUTOZONE, they ran it, 2 cylinders were misfiring. Needs a tune up. I mentioned this to them, they said they would take a look. They had the car for 3 days. They argued with me about what time to bring it in. I brought it in at 830am like they said, they didn't start to even look at it till the next day. I checked. Not to mention, every person in that dealership is rude, with bad attitudes. The owner of the dealership runs the service department and was the one who made the appointment. When I got the car back, the lights in the buttons did work. Got on the highway, car was still bucking, but this time the engine light stayed on. I specifically asked the owner of the dealership if they did the tune up. He and the mechanic said yes, that it was all done. Brought it to AUTOZONE again to check the light, same thing. THEY LIED. All they did was delete the code from the system that triggered the engine light and said they fixed it. Not the first lie they told. They told me to bring the car in again and that they would take a look. They also mentioned on that call that they don't cover the parts for the tune up, straight from the owner's mouth. I told them "then never mind, rather you not touch my car." Coil springs alone cost $780. King Richard did this all under the impression that I would buy an additional vehicle (Jeep Commander) for my mother. I told them I would buy the Jeep if everything with this one goes okay. Obviously, I didn't end up buying the Jeep from them. And I will never buy another car off of them again.

A must read for anyone car shopping....To say I am really frustrated right now is minimizing how angry I am. My husband and daughter went car shopping and bought a Durango at King Richards Auto Center. Less than TWO weeks later, Sara and my four grandchildren are stuck on the side of the road with a vehicle that has NO STEERING! And King Richards says, "OH WELL. We will look at it but you figure out how to get the car here!" How about FOUR YOUNG CHILDREN and a single mom stuck on a busy road. What, are they supposed to PUSH it there? What about how is this NOT ROAD WORTHY car going to get there, and why would a NOT ROAD WORTHY car be sold in the first place. Waiting for the owner to call me back....TO BE CONTINUED Cannot believe that we would have bought a car without checking out the dealership first. ABSOLUTELY the worse experience! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Service. Once they have your $$$ you are left with a questionable vehicle and an OH WELL attitude from King Richards. How does a company do this to a struggling, single mom with four kids

My son purchased a 2009 Mazda three from King Richards auto in Rhode Island. When the car was delivered to him the tire pressure light was on. They told him to bring the car back the next day and they'd fix it for him. Upon arrival the next day they told us they couldn't help us because we didn't have an appointment. We had driven 28 miles to get there and I complained about the gas involved in coming back and they said when we came back they'd give us some gas. We made the appointment and brought the car back but no one put any gas in it. Shortly before the 30 day warranty was up the tire light went on again. My son called to make an appointment during regular business hours but no one answered. He left a message but no one returned the call. Shortly after that the check engine light went on and we brought it our mechanic to check out. He told us that the tire pressure light had a bad sensor and that the check engine light was caused by a faulty gas cap. My son, who was leaving on an extended trip the next day called King Richards and left a message and again no one called back. He called again later that day and said if he didn't get a return call within a couple of hours our mechanic would have to fix it before his trip the next day and they'd have to pay for it. No one ever called back so he had the repair done. He brought the bill to the dealership and the owner wasn't there. One of the sales people took the bill, copied it and said they would put it on Richards desk. We never heard from them. So I called everyday until I got hold of the owner who told me he'd never received a bill so I faxed it to him. He called me back and said they wouldn't pay for the entire repair but that they would reimburse some of it. I asked when I'd receive a check and he said they'd cut one that very day. A few days later a check arrived in the mail, made out to my husband, who has been in Africa for months and the amount of the check was $0.00! When I called back I said I wanted the money for the entire bill and they've not sent anything. I've called and left three messages and haven't received a call back or a new check. The total amount of the repair was $272.53. The car was still under warrantee so both items should be paid. When I first spoke to Richard I said I'd just take the money for the tire repair but now I believe both issues should have been taken care of by them, especially after receiving a check made out to someone that had nothing to do with the purchase and for $0.00. If they had returned any of my sons called before he had to leave town with the vehicle we could have worked something out.

I purchased my car about two years ago. While I will not go outright and say this dealership is fraudulent, but I will say that I will never buy from this dealership again. First off, they lowballed my trade-in.I did eventually get them to the proper market value though. My car did not have any obvious issues, but after a day I noticed several issues that needed repairs requiring several trips back to the dealership to get things fixed. At that time it dawned on me that they are what I call a 'fix it after the sale' dealer. I recognized this because my trade-in was back on the lot the next day (It had major electrical and water issues). The price of the car was fair if I did not have the issues that the car had. It was my fault for not fully vetting the car, but realizing that this seems to be SOP for how they sell cars. I will say that the salesman was nice, but I should have stood up and left after his first statement during the negotiation was 'The price of this car cannot be lowered, and we will give you 1k for your trade-in'.

King Richard's misrepresents the price of vehicles on cars.com, obviously so those of us using cars.com for searches will see their vehicles. They understate the price in the heading by $1,000, their vehicle makes it into your search criterion for price, then when you click on it find that, oh yeah, that adverised price is after a $1,000 down payment. A sleazy, dishonest practice.

They meet the stereotype of bad used car dealers. The changed the price, played down the check engine light, hid things in fine print, and pretended that everything was fine when it obviously wasn't. They even tried to get me to use "their" neighborhood mechanic for a vehicle inspection. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a used 2005 Mazda 3s hatchback around March for my 22nd birthday. After a week of driving back and forth from work check engine light came on. Misfiring. I fixed that with new spark plugs. Then within the same week my car ran out of oil, got my oil changed and its still disappearing on me. Go figure my warranty is over now. Now the check engine light is back on, making weird noises from up front, and im still losing oil. Without any signs of a leak. Idk if it's my brakes now or what. Axle or bearing. I just want my car looked at, and fixed properly. My cousin also purchase a car from here and he's spent close to $1500 bucks on repairs . im getting the vibe that kids my age are getting stuck with lemons. I was soo happy at first on how things were going, I treat my car like a baby. Don't beat on it and do what I need to do. I'm not a happy person right now. I just want my car taken care of and fixed the way it should of been before leaving the dealership

We tried to buy a car from them last week after seeing it advertised on the internet. When we showed up they told us the advertised internet price presumed a $1,000 trade in (as specified in the on-line microprint) so the cash price was actually $1,000 higher than advertised. We decided not to buy from them.

This is my second time buying a car from King Richards. I had a great experience with my first time around when they were at their old location back in 2009 and I always serviced my car at their service department which I also had a good experience with. I am even more happy with my second purchase because they gave me a great deal for my trade I also appreciate how smooth the whole transaction was! I would highly recommend this dealer!

I want everyone to know that is car hunting; please do not buy a car at this horrible dealership. If you decide to purchase a car at King Richards DO NOT get fooled into buying GAP Insurance - This dealership somehow adds a cancellation fee, which I am still waiting on proof of what I signed that states a GAP cancellation fee(The only cancellation fee that i am aware of is a Gap fee of $35). If you don't know what GAP is, please Google it. This place is a disgrace and the people are very unprofessional and do not know what they are doing. Do yourself a favor and buy a car at a well-known establishment, do not let the prices fool you. I have never dealt with people that have no clue what they are doing and its sad that they have a job at King Richards. I can go on and on with this place but by reading other reviews of UNHAPPY customers, you have been warned that this place is no good. Stay Away!!

The worst place to buy from would not reccommend to anyone. The car I bought only had for a month now it does not work. I regret coming here in general worst experience. A big inconvenience. You would assume buying a car thats fairly new wouldnt give you any issues well I was wrong! Buyers beware!

Underhanded sales techniques, missing paperwork, unexplained parts of the contract, you can't test drive off the lot they have to drive off then park then you can drive, inexperienced sales people, and some salesmen had no license

Never buy from this place. I recently had to buy a car because my old one died and I needed to replace it quick. I admitted went in a bit hastily and bought a car here. When I bought it the blower fan was making a weird clicking sound which the dealer said they'd fix. Less than a week after I bought my car the check engine light was on. When I brought it in to fix the fan they "fixed" the gas cap, and for a week the check engine light came on again. So I brought it in again. They fixed it but refused to document that anything was wrong with the car so I don't have any proof that this car has been giving me problems. NEVER BUY FROM HERE!

They refuse to provide mileage and price (!) on their ads and give you a hassle if you want to check more than one or two cars on the phone. "Come in and we will take care of you." Plus many cars have been in accidents. Not an easy dealer to work with.

Beware, do not buy a car of this lot until you get it checked with your mechanic. They will NOT fix the problems after you buy the car, very diseatfull. I really hate used car salesman but this guy takes the cake. Wrong size tires, frame damage, broken hood, belts cracked, battery ready to go, rear brake rotor destroyed, wrong muffler system just to start. Please please please,if i can help one person out i will feel a whole lot better about my purchase.I baught the car because he said "he would take care of the problems". My daughter was graduating college and i had to rush, bad bad move. Just walk away from King Richard's Auto Center period.

I went to King Richard's to buy a particular car after speaking with Josh during the week, but when I got there the car was sold and I was very disappointed. However, they got me into a 2011 Kia Sportage which I never thought I could afford such a new car! They worked hard to get the vehicle into my budget and I am very happy with the car so far. Thanks Josh, Anthony & Amandio!

I went to this dealer based on a recommendation from my brother. I bought a 2004 Hyndai Santa Fe. The car handled poorly on the test drive and the brakes were gringing. It went right back to the lot. My salesperson Bob assured me the car would be fixed upon my pick up on Friday, if I wanted it. I was told the vehicle would be readu the next day, but at 3:45 was that the back brakes abd tires were being replaced and I would need to wait until Saturday. I arrived an hour after my pick up time only to discover the car was still not ready. After an additional 1 hour wait I rece'd the key to the car and told the salesperson I needed to test drive it. Hwe agreed but the drive last 5 minutes because he needed to get back to more customers. The steering still did not feel right. I took it home and had ny boyfriend drive it to confirm and sure enough the fron end still was not right, I took it right back to the dealer and was tol I would need to wait to make arrangements to have it worked on. Thsi happened three times. I had just bought a car and had to get several rides to work in the first two weeks. The "brakes" were worked on 3 times 1 strut at a time was replaced and 1 ball joint. After I took it to my mechanic to conform it had issues. I was only given one key and the following weekend realized the key only opened the drivers side door. I was told not my problem we only fix safety issues. And the $200.00 referral my brother was supposed to receive has been sitting on the "KIngs" desk for over two weeks waiting for a signature. I would advise anyone that is looking for a used car if at all possible go to a "REAL" dealer.

We needed a new vehicle for our son who attends URI. I knew the price range we could afford and just wanted to be sure we got the best car for the price. After looking online for a while, I went by King Richards on the recommendation of a friend. The salesman listened carefully to my needs and price range and found a car that fit. They gave me a very fair allowance on my trade-in and we negotiated a very favorable price on the car. I'm very happy with the quality of the car and the deal we got. It's well worth a trip to see them if you're looking for quality and value!

Went to King Richards this past weekend and bought the car of my dreams. My salesman was Big Al. I ran him through the ringer. He sowed me at least 8 different cars before we came across the right one. i don't know how he did it but he had all the patience in the world. I was not an easy customer but he made it seem easy. I got to drive off in my new car that very afternoon. Great Job Big Al. Thanks

RUDE and CONDESCENDING Salesman - Visited King Richard's to take a look at a vehicle I had been researching for several months. I knew going in what the true value of the vehicle was and knew what I would be offering compared to their asking price. After test-driving the vehicle we went in to discuss price and my offer was $700 less than the asking price of $10,000. Without making a counteroffer or giving any other explanation, the salesman stood up and said "what is it, you don't have the money?", then extended his hand and said "good luck finding that car at that price somewhere else" and practically showed us the door. He did it in a loud and intimidating voice which made other customers in the area look at us. I was completely humiliated and we left the dealer immediately. Low and behold, I receive a call from the salesman 2 days later, this time in a very nice voice, asking me to call him back and whether I had found a vehicle...he hoped he wasn't too late. Not only am I not calling him back (to avoid giving him a piece of my mind and an expletive-laced rant), I would NEVER EVER step foot at this dealer again and would never recommend anyone going there. There is really something to be said about customer service and when you treat the customers right, you gain customers for life. This is not the place if you want to be treated with respect. I regret traveling such a long way to be treated this way. And just in case King Richards reads this...YES, YOU'RE TOO LATE!!!

My sales associate and the owner were helpful and patient with me as I take ages to make a decision on a big purchase! Did they even read it?! Hung up on. On hold so many times! And still no money back. Had one call to inquire bout vehicle. Its for sale! So why can't I pick up my money?! Also two friends are dealing with issues of not standing by their words to fix vehicle bought there. Hard working persons family etc do not spend ur hard earned honest money there. Horrible experience and no money back! Yet. I would encourage all people with issues as well to reply or this will continue to good honest people. Sad what is this world coming to.

I recently bought a 4 wheel drive truck with the understanding it was clear of any issues, shame on me in the first snow storm i found my 4 wheel drive was not working what a surprise.... i contacted the salesman 2 days shy of a month of ownership. he asked me to bring the truck in and i did. i was informed it would be 200 dollars to repair. shame on me again they dont provide a warranty to vehicles over 100,00 miles well my truck is 113,000 miles i asked if they would fix it for free in good standing because i was led to believe it was all checked out and they said no. i asked the service guy the repair cost break down it was 176.00 for the part and i guess 25.00 for labor hu???????? 25.00 for labor. i told him id fix it myself. upon searching the internet the part is 77.00 to 120.00 depending on quality and 10 minutes to fix. i wish i read the reviews before hand. thanks king richard just like the medieval days the king always collects every penny.

We felt that this dealership will say what ever it takes to make the sale. The Salesman said "If you have any problems, just call me", When we did, he then said "Don't call me, you should call the service department". We were told my car would be ready for pickup on Monday. We received no call to alert us to a problem and I spoke with salesman who said "car was all set for pickup". When we arrived to complete payment for purchase, We were told that we would have to pick up later date. They could not register the car/ out of state. Problem with wipers interfering with driving view was ordered for repair prior to purchase, it was repaired wrong. Brought the car back for continued repair. Mechanics could not figure out the wiper problem, said "this was the best they could do". It was simply a piece being installed backwards, not allowing wipers to return to off position. My none mechanic husband figured it out. there is a brake and front end problem with this car. We do not feel they were capable of fixing a serious issue, as they can't fix the simple issue. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!

I went in looking for a economical car,but there weren't any on the lot. But my wife and I fell in love with a Dodge Stratus. We had a trade-in and also borrowed $800 from my mother-in-law to purchase this car. We had the bill of sale in our hands and were told to come back the following day to pick up the car. The following day,we arrived at 3pm,and we noticed the car wasn't there. We were told it was getting prepped up.The salesman,John Mattos, asked for and tore up bill of sale and proceeded to make a new one. After 5 hours with a hungry child, snow began to fall,we got a call from the financial manager,Mr.Harrington.When we arrived at the East Providence branch, there was no car to be seen. John Mattos, sold the car the night before to the spanish couple behind us,and Mr.Harrington needed 5hours to call all of their loan companies to get me a loan. The payments were $280 per month and we were given a FORD TAURUS instead and then lied to again and told to come back 1 year to lower payments. If there were only 1 used car dealership in East Providence, and it was King Richards, I'll walk to Massachusetts before I ever buy a car from them again.
