Purchased a new VW here and Very satisfied with the entire process. My salesman was Nora Sokhon and he was very knowledgeable and professional. I came up from Fredericksburg Virginia and Even though it was a long drive I would come back here when I need another car. I also recommend the coffee downstairs!

I came to this dealership towards the end of the day after driving all day trying to find the perfect car. I was greeted by Diako and he was one of the most personable car salesman ive ever dealt with. He was so knowledgable about the GTI i wanted, he actually showed me things about the car i had never even know anything about. Even after watching countless videos about the GTI! The whole process went very smooth and you could tell that Diako was more concerned about getting you into the exact car you want than just getting another sale and on to the next one. He makes you feel completely comfortable and does not try to rush you at all, even though it was already 7 pm and the dealership was supposed to close at 6! After we had agreed on a deal, Tim was great with handling the paperwork and explaining all of my options as far as add ons and warranties. It was definitely the best car buying experience i have ever been through, including ones ive gone through to help others get their car. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the area trying to find a new car. King Volkswagen will not rip you off and will make sure you leave out of there with exactly the car that you want! Ask for Diako because he knows how to make you feel no pressure throughout the whole process and will make sure youre taken care of! - Ian

We purchased a used Honda CRV from this dealership. Everything looked fine during test drive. We paid for the car and drove it on the road heading home. After about 15 miles also, the SRS airbag warning light came on while driving and indicated a problem with the SRS system. We took the car back to the dealership. Service dept checked the car and Sales Manager Ryan indicated that we need to pay $458 to get the SRS problem fixed, for a car that we just drove off the lot!

Diako was very patient, honest, and funny throughout the car buying experience. I want to emphasize the patient part as I can be very difficult and indecisive, usually plagued with buyer's remorse. Diako was understanding over the months it took me to make my decision and made sure I drove away happy with my new car. I think the part that impressed me most was his knowledge of the vehicles. Most salesmen, to put it bluntly, have no clue about the cars they are selling. Diako's knowledge made me comfortable listening to his suggestions and purchasing a car I know I will love for years to come. Highly recommended.

Diako Akhundzadeh made my car purchasing experience at King VW of Gaithersburg a positive one. Often car salesmen get bad reputations and while some dealerships/salesmen are justifiable criticized for their tactics, I assure you that this will not be your experience with Diako. I found Diako to be honest, forthcoming with information-even when the information was not necessarily favorable and a xxxx of a guy to spend time with while waiting for the finance manager. Diako's knowledge of the vehicles and ability to match the right vehicle to my everyday needs was paramount and greatly appreciated. When I was younger, I made a lot of stupid financial decisions that I am finally recovering from today and Diako did not caste judgment, but made me feel as if I was his number one customer. Due to the wonderful experience and respect given to me by the entire staff, but most importantly Diako, King VW will be the only place I purchase my family vehicles in the future.

Wish I could give less than 1 star. Bought a $25K BMW 328 here. The people I had to work with were ALAN GOLDBERG, SCOTT COHEN and RYAN ASCHENBCH. After working with these guys, I quickly found out that all of these men lack honor and integrity. As I waited fo get to finance, my sales guy (ALAN GOLDBERG) approached me and said there was an issue with my 2nd key fob. He didn't have it right then, but assured my he would get it and send it in the mail for me. Afterall, the price I paid for the vehicle included this 2nd key fob. I said fine and finished the deal and headed home.None of the men listed above ever reached out to me after the sale regarding the key fob. I had to ask and ask and ask about it. I kept getting the run around. This went on for weeks and weeks! They actually insisted that I just buy one and they would, at most, just split the cost ( key fobs are not cheap for bmw...especially with comfort access. .plus I would need a dealer to program the key fob). Why should I pay anymore for something I already paid for and was promised to receive!!!!???Also, I was told I would have no problem getting a PA inspection. Well, that was also wrong. I need all new brakes all around to pass. Again...another example of how these guys will lie, cheat and steal just to make a buck.If I could, I would also list the emails I had back and forth with these guys. You would be shocked at how they treat and talk to customers!!These guys do not care about their customers...they only care about making profit.Avoid this dealership at all costs! There are plenty of other dealerships in the area.

I got 2016 Passat last week and I just wanted to share my wonderful experience at King Volkswagen with everyone. It was my first time buying a car under my own name and Diako was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. On website, the white one was more expensive than the black one somehow (just the color - everything else was same), but without any hesitation he offered me the white one with the same price as the black one! Financing part was a breeze as well. Overall, it was the best dealership experience for me. Highly recommend!

He is a man who truly looks out for the customer's best interest. Would recommend to other car buyers as well. I was got an awesome deal on the car as well that couldn't be matched.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased I am with the 2016 Volkswagen Jetta you found for me. Ive driven the car for 3 months now and I still got the brand new feeling and excitement in it.During this purchase of my car most Importantly I am thankful toDiako Akhundzadeh (Sales Consultant at King Volkswagen) because after selecting the Jetta I want, I was really not sure if I would be eligible for a loan because at the same day earlier I was let down by the Creswell Nissan Dealers (when I went to buy my 2nd car from them) asking for a $3k down payment which I couldn't make at that time, also insurance companies quote me very high prices because my license were new. But then I went to King Volkswagen dealer and met Diako and he rescued me from all the hassle, He passed me a loan with a very low interest rate with 0% down payment and also He went out of the way and got me a very low rate for the insurance which no one offered me at the time. He made it happen. Anyway I am glad I got rejected by Nissan because the VW Jetta That I bought was way better than the choice that I had earlier. Its smooth, got lots of power with the turbo engine and most importantly really good in fuel as well. Words cannot express how happy me and my wife are with our new car! Id like to thank you for your fantastic customer service, your honesty and your generosity with giving us such a fantastic deal on such a fine automobile.

I recently purchased a '16 GTI from William Giakoumatos at King VW via the internet. I called late on a Tuesday evening (right before closing) and William took the time to walk me through King VW's (very easy to understand) internet pricing approach. I knew the stock number and was very direct. William picked up on this and adjusted his sales approach and accommodated me with ease. I had called several other dealers, but William was the best to deal with. Many people didn't take me seriously, but William did and he got the sale. In addition many dealers didn't honor their internet pricing, but King VW did via a very simple and easy to understand pricing approach. Not only did I get the exact car I wanted, but I got it a great price too!I did the whole deal from remote. William was VERY responsive and addressed every concern / question I had effectively. I had a great experience. Kudos to William and King VW.

He did not pressure us. He was very nice person to work with. I recommend him very highly. My experience was very good.

The first and the last time I will trust this dealership collision center and service center. I had my car towed to their collision center to get it fix after my insurance suggested this place. I should've listened to my gut not to put my car here because my buddy had his car fix here a few months prior but got things stolen from his car and the dealership did not man up making thing right. I gave them my benefit of a doubt and had my car towed here. That was my mistake letting them tries to fix the car. 1) Bought replacement wheels with the wrong off set and tell me that it is my fault because my car is lowered.2) Damaged my brand new jack rails and said it probably there before because their jacks come in from the side. Their tech probably drove the car over a ramp or bump and messed it up.3) I asked to keep the damaged wheels, put one in the passenger seat with the dirty box on the seat. This show how much they care for my car. After a few follow up calls, eventually the person who work with me pass me off to my insurance. Thanks god, I have one of the best insurance adjuster and I thanks him for helping this entire time.

It is unfortunate to say that I trusted this company with my vehicle as years ago I had much better experiences but when you purchase a car then a year later it starts having problems and the following year exhaust your extended warranty and you find yourself spending more than you owe yet they keep charging you for the same problem...the last time I repaired said vehicle against better judgment because I was told by others not to deal with King they won't fix the problem and guess what? Yup---epc + check engine...againBasically King okeydokied me and I kept paying for non existent repairs and now I have a dead car and a car note. I do have some good news. The service manager offered to pay $50 towards the tow (again) how many tows? How many diagnostic fees at varying charges from 99-500 (just to diagnose) before this company gets to the root of the problem and fix or compensate this car that they sold me in 2013. I have gone to the attorney general because o believe that this is a lemon and hope that the law will be on my side. Pray for us and good luck to those who have experienced what my family is now experiencing

The dealer accommodated my second Tiguan and transfered the vehicle I wanted from another dealership. The service area is outstanding. My first brand new Tiguan I purchased in 2011 from Russel Volkswagen had a defective transmission when purchased. When I had my vehicle repaired at Kings I never had an issue there forward. The service saved my confidence in Volkswagen and not returning the vehicle entirely.

I hate giving negative reviews but OMG. I made a simple phone call last Saturday to find out if I could bring a battery in for warranty exchange that was bought over the counter, My first call from Service to Parts was dropped. My 2nd call I was immediately put on hold. After 23 minutes I hung up. My 3rd call was dropped or purposely hung up on. My 4th call I was finally connected to Parts. Explained I had not bought it there but I had the receipt and the original dealer (40 miles away) said I could take it anywhere for a 50% credit based on age. Also explained I was scared to drive the car as you could not shut it off without jumping it again. Gave me a hard time about having to take the battery back to the original dealer and I argued against that so he said he would talk to his manager on Monday and I had to call back. Really? An hour on the phone and I had to call back Monday which I did and was told, ok, no problem bring the battery in and they would do the exchange. Today I take it in after leaving work early and am told it has to be in the car to test. Adamant that I had to bring the car in with the battery that wont charge and doesn't provide enough juice to close the window. I made it clear twice it would not be in the car and was told no problem. Such lousy customer service. Not the first time received poor customer service here but this is the last I will ever step in the place. All I got was sorry for the miscommunication. I was really irate for my 2 hour investment for what I thought was a super simple problem to resolve and left empty handed. Had to have the car to test it? It's a dead freaking battery that won't even charge with a trickle charger hooked up to it for 2 days. VW has enough customer credibility issues as it is with the TDI lies.... you think they would be a little more accommodating to keep their current customers...

My life is complicated and so is my car buying. I wanted a brand new, 2016 (not many available yet), GTI, 4 door, manual, SE, with lighting package, in metallic grey. I wanted it fast and I wanted it at a great price. From the moment I walked in, Diako was with me. He took me for an amazing test drive, guided me through aspects of the leasing process I wasn't aware of, and pushed to get me a great price. I had a significant overage on my last lease turn in, and he helped me to work it out - even personally went to Carmax with me to get a trade-in quote.I must've been in the dealership no less than three times. It was a grueling experience, but one that Diako and his crew were extremely patient with me on. They were never pushy or made me feel under pressure to sign a deal. They were able to find the exact car I wanted, at port, and confirmed it immediately. It was initially supposed to take 3 weeks to get here, but I got the car in less than 1! It is everything I wanted and more. Finally, everyone at King is extremely friendly and helpful. I started to feel at home in the dealership! When I came in to pick up the car with my elderly father, they were extremely respectful and courteous. Their culture at the dealership is very laid back and fun, and they made the process enjoyable by being so lighthearted and cracking jokes. I even got to meet the general manager, who was teasing Diako in front of me!In short, the people at King are good people, believe in the products they sell, and deliver a remarkable customer experience. I would recommend them to all of my friends who are interested in getting a new car! Thanks Diako, Lev, and Sanjay!

Took my 2015 TDI Gold in for a 20K service that the salesman promised would be covered. It wasn't. The service tech didn't even check with the salesman to see if he had promised me the service--he just told me flat out that they wouldn't honor it. The salesman lied. On top of that, the 20K service is just and oil and filter change and tire rotation. The dealer wanted $315. So, I went to a Jiffy Lube, got a synthetic oil change that meets VW specs and a tire rotation for $90. Dealer service was just as much of a scam as the lying salesman. Awful. Now I"m stuck with a car that lies about emissions sold to me by a salesman who lies about service agreements and a service department that are robbing people.

VW regrets

Sales associate assured me the pulsation I felt in the brakes during the test drive was "a feature of the brake system". Had the vehicle in for service at my local VW dealership several times and asked them to check the brakes as the pulsation seemed to be getting worse. Each time I was assured the brakes were fine...even after the "low brake fluid" alarm had been going off. Finally, the alarm was going off every few minutes. So, we take it in again, and are told the caliper is broken and leaking brake fluid. The local dealership initially did not want to repair the caliper due to "non-factory parts". I informed him the parts were on the car when it was certified pre-owned by King VW, so they reluctantly replaced the caliper...and nothing else. The car still had a terrible vibration while braking since they had not replaced the warped rotor or the non-factory pads that were such an issue. The local dealership informed me I would need to contact the dealership where I bought the car. This is where things got ugly. The service manager was extremely rude and had the nerve to question my integrity when I insisted this issue had persisted since I bought the car (I am a honor, courage, and commitment card carrying former United States Marine and veteran...needless to say my integrity is very important to me). Eventually he conceded to pay for the rotors that were clearly warped when I bought the car, and I had to come out of pocket for the new pads(factory ones that should have been on there from the begining) and labor. I still have a vibration from the front brakes due to the rotors that were machined during the certification inspection less than a year ago. To make matters worse, this is my wife's car, and she has been pregnant during this very unsafe ordeal. The salesman was a liar, and the service center cuts corners. Turns out the owner is ill, and the service manager is his son. Buyer beware if Jason is the future of this dealership.

I have been leasing cars a long time, and for once I found a dealership that didn't try to BS me as soon as they met me. The staff is professional and personable, and they really do know in detail the 'best deal' they can give you. By this I mean, they know lease interest rate, buy price (including all the details that make up a 'price' such as dealer costs and incentives, etc.).I sat down with Lev and Diako and made a deal in minutes. And this, coming from a seasoned car-leaser, is amazing. They didn't make me do the 'dance' and just got straight down to business. How do I know they were dealing with me straight-up? I use the Costco Car Service for a verifiable 'best buy price' which was much, much better than the other dealers had presented to me. And did I mention, I am a seasoned car-leaser? =)

I took my car here to have the valve cover replaced which cost 516 bucks. So the car is now smoking from the engine and also from the tail pipe to the point I could not see anything behind me. This was not happening to my car until they did work to it. I take the car back and they say it's an oil leak somewhere and the engine is dirty. So of course they charge me 99 bucks and 100 dollar diagnostic test to see where the leak is coming from. So they say the leak is coming from the vacuum pump. $1700 for that to be replaced. Of course I declined because I would like to get another opinion. The car does not smell like an oil leak, it smells more like plastic burning. I believe that one of the tech did something to my car and will they will not own up to. The car drives fine until 45 min- an hour on the road and its smoke every where. I hear clicking noises when this starts happening. I'm basically car less now because someone is not doing their job correctly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I wish I would have never had the cover replaced. Wasting so much xxxxxxx money and its ridiculous!!!!

COMPLETELY AWFUL!! DONT GO HERESaid I was coming back to buy the car. Had to go get my checkbook from home. When I got back it was sold. The sales guy and I had exchanged phone numbers he never called me to say another person was looking at it. He knew I was coming back. I have a huge family and many many friends who are looking for used cars for their kids coming up. I WILL NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN. AND I AM GOING TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NEVER TO USE THIS DEALERSHIP --- EVER!!!!!!Sold the car even though he knew I was coming back to purchase the car. What a ****** bag. ug!!! Common curtesy would have to give me a call and tell the other person that someone is looking at it that I had first rights. Or tell me hurry up and get back here or this car will be sold. He knew my story and knew I was coming back. OR at the VERY least to call me and tell me it was sold before I walk back in. WHAT A COWARD! So I was very excited and happy to purchase the car only to see the car gone from the lot. And not to have the xxxxx to pick up the phone and apologise to me or speak to me in person and offer to help me find another and be apologetic. What kind of sleaze bag car dealership are you running KING VW???????????????????????

I had looked at a used GTI (Autobahn) in PA (VW of Langhorne) and had a terrible experience. I changed my mind about buying used and started looking for new Autobahn GTI's. Well, the closest one was 2.5 hours away at King VW in Gaithersburg. I saw a price on the internet that was actually reasonable (a hair over 29k) and called the dealership. I talked with Arthur and told him I could come down the next day if he priced it at 28.5k. He talked to his manager, called me back, and surprisingly agreed! For reference, most GTI Autobahn versions start around 31-32k new. I asked Arthur to send me an email with that price and the next day I drove down. From the moment I walked in, Arthur was personable, but not pushy or overwhelming at all. He explained that his philosophy is that people will buy what they like. There's no need to be aggressive. I completely agreed. Arthur took the time to show me all of the neat features of the GTI which I wouldn't have known otherwise (and I'm pretty good with gadgets). That German engineering is pretty impressive and pragmatic! I did the paperwork that day and Chuck the finance manager handled the down payment and rest of the paperwork. Chuck was also very nice and helped get the paperwork done as soon as possible. I had gotten an aggressive APR (2.14) from Bank of America, but he got me down to 1.84 with PNC. Of course he did offer a bunch of extended warranties which I politely declined, but he wasn't aggressive with selling them. Some people may have bought them since the word "warranty" isn't actually used; they just look like important maintenance and repair plans in case something happens. Overall I had a great experience at King VW and I walked away with a brand new GTI at a fantastic price.

No follow up, no check up call, no follow up email, no return calls, no, no, no, you're alone! They hid a very essential information, made me stupid when I found out. They didn't want to take any responsibility on what they said (and made up things they never said). Their price wasn't that good, I just pick this one and got my new car, which was my BIG MISTAKE. Price not good, service not good, you have no reason to go there. No wonder this dealership is inactive. The sales people I dealt with don't know what they're saying, will change words later, blame customers for 'misunderstanding' AND have short term memory loss...Please take my two cents, do not work with this dealership. When it's not busy, there's a reason behind it, THEY ARE NOT GOOD!

Great customer service. The sales associate was very attentive and answered all my questions. When she wasnt wure of something she asked the manager. After reviewing my aplication and credit and was approved she made sure the person that helped with the finances to get the car was a person who spoke my language and understood my situation.

PLEASE READ, THIS IS A GOOD STORY BTW. I'll keep it brief.THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITHOUT AIR CONDITION. SALESMAN LIED. MANAGER ACT as if he want to help, but he didn't offer anything decent.I saw their advertisement online for a volkswagen Jetta with a decent price. Called and the salesman told us the price seen low on the advertisement but they will definitely honor the price if it is advertised online. On the advertisement, it stated the car has all the basic stuff including a/c, radio, and such. We went to the store, salesman pull up the car and told us this is the car we advertised online, it has the same inventory number as we advertised. We test drive the car and realize the car doesn't have a radio, he said the radio is the only difference between this car and the car advertised online, we are getting a great deal with this car, all we have to do is spend $200 to install the radio, and assure us RADIO is the ONLY difference between this car and the car advertised online. We even ask him in the car, "so it has A/C, heater, all those basic stuff right". He said of course, the ONLY difference is the RADIO.We bought the car, three days later, we discover the car does not have AC. We went back, manger said it will cost $11,000 to install the A/C, or we can trade in the car for a new one, but this car will lose 4000 dollars instantly. We bought the car for 16,200, and he offered the trade in value of 12000. I said to the manager, "if your salesman disclose to us that the car does not have AC, we would never bought it, we would look at other car, who sells a vehicle w/o AC in maryland. I had the car for 4 days, put 140 miles on it, now you are telling me I am gonna lose $4000 on it."Manger's word was," I am sorry, but you should have read the MSRP sticker, it list everything on the car, and you agree to buy the car, there's nothing more I can do for you"Salesman's word was" BUDDIE, I told you yesterday, this car is the basic model, IT HAS NOTHING IN IT, no AC, no RADIO".I remember the day we bought the car Salesman's words were, "BUDDIE, you are getting a great deal, the ONLY difference between this car and the car advertised online is the RADIO, come on you can install the radio for 200 dollars".After hearing the salesman lied to my face, I walked out without anymore words because he lied and he's certainly not going to help. I know that man has let go of his integrity and became a liar because of few hundred bucks commission and I pity him for degrading himself for money like that. Before I went back to the dealership, i even tell myself, salesman probably didn't know the car doesn't have A/C and he will certainly offer a good way to solve the this issue. What's Ironic is that manger even said to me, "sorry you have to learn your lesson the hard way, but what is done is done".THE END (I hope you all enjoy the story)-------BTW, I traded my car in with Congressional Volkswagen, took a 2000 dollar loss instead of 4000. Congressional VW told me they will probably auction off car, no one can drive a car w/o AC in Maryland when it's 100 degree outside. I am grateful that Congressional VW was willing to take the car in and offered us a great deal on the new car(w/o any price negotiation). There is just NO way i can sell a car without ACT myself. I simply can't understand why King Volkwagen can't do the same and offer the same deal.

This is a great dealership to buy a car from. In late 2005, I was shopping around for a 2006 Jetta GLI, and had a lot of problems with dealers in Northern VA locating the exact car I wanted (black on black, package 2, with a 6 speed manual)and for the right price. I heard about King VW and drove up to MD to see if they could help me out. I met with Rafi and he was willing to assist with my purchase. He not only located the exact car for me, but beat the price of Alexandria VA by several hundred, and gave me more on the trade in. It was a pleasant experience working with Rafi. He didn't waste my time. From start to finish it was very efficient. I've never experience this type of efficiency at any other dealership in this area. If I were looking for a new VW, I would happily go back to King VW. Unfortunately my next car won't be a VW product due to the excessive amount of problems I've had with this car.

I leased my 2008 Jetta in early 2008 with the expectation that it would be a smooth 3 years. However I've has lackluster support from the service department. 8 months in the car developed a bad squeak from the rear brakes and a strange problem with the front passenger door. I took it for service and they "found nothing wrong". Then with less than 13000 miles on the car the rear brakes are gone and it will cost $400 to replace? $400 for $90 worth of parts and one hour labor? And my door problem still isn't fixed. No thanks. At least the people are friendly.

Salesman was talking straight 'bs' the whole time. Advertised prices online are about $2000 cheaper than what they actually charge you. They make excuses for these extrapulated charges- for example they told us we had to pay an $850 'reconditioning fee' for the used car we were looking at when they hadn't even removed children's stickers from the interior console. They try to get you to come in with decent prices, but these turn out to be well over blue book msrp. Very unpleasant experience and a waste of time.

I shopped around for the best price to lease a 2006 Jetta and came to an agreement with the internet salesman after trading several emails. Since the haggling was basically completed, I thought that my trip to the dealer would basically be just filling out paperwork. I was wrong. The salesman threw a higher price than we had agreed on and tried to make excuses as to why he was no longer able to honor our agreed price. Long story short, I got the price that was agreed on after 2 hours of back and forth with the finance guy.
