Richard worked with my budget to get me a great price on the car I wanted. Car buying can be stressful but he made it as painless as possible. Best customer appreciation cookout! Not too late to participate as ends at 2 pm today. As always, everyone here is super-friendly and helpful. Kevin and the Service Department/Mechanics do a great job and they are open on Saturdays. The salespeople are great, especially my favorite Terry, who has sold me three cars in the last 20 years. And on the rare occasion I have ordered a part, the Parts Department called me when the item was in. Only compliments all around for the staff and service at this dealership (as well as thanks for the nicely stocked waiting room).

VW of Raleigh was amazing. The dealer who sold me my car, Gene, has been too sweet. I recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car. They met my budget, worked with my auto loan provider, and when a few minor issues arose with my car, they covered it without blinking an eye. They've been so nice and pleasant to work with. However, I do have an issue with one member of their sales team. He was rude and pushy. When I said no to additional charges, he treated me as if I were stupid and didn't know what was going on. I can't remember his name, I have pretty much blocked that portion of my experience out. Otherwise, great dealership.

I came into the dealership dead set on buying a Tiguan. Terry approached me when I first arrived and was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process. He was a pleasure to work with and I am over the moon happy with my car! I bought a Certified Used Tiguan, as I found it to be a much more reasonable option than a new Tiguan without sacrificing the security of a dealer warranty. Because of the Certification the car's price was pretty much set in stone, but I was offered a fair price for my trade in and decided that the Certification and warranty were worth the price.

Terry McLean was great to work with. I rarely buy a car and go into the process with great trepidation. The last time I bought a new car was 28 years ago and I still have it. It took all afternoon to close the deal because of my 500 questions and concerns even though I had researched cars for months and was pretty certain what I wanted.I decided to wait a few months before doing a review to see how things stacked up. I will say that the estimated 35/40 mpg. is way off. The least I've gotten to a tank is 41.8 and the best was 48.6!! I have yet to take a trip that's all highway. I love this car.

Have not purchased a car in 15 years but time to replace my 99 Honda CRV. Found a Honda FIT at Leith through USAA car buying service - sent email and got a quick response back from Duane Yorke. Test drove the car the next day and purchased it. Mr. Yorke was very nice as was everyone I encountered at Leith during the purchasing process. I was not pressured in any way nor was I treated as someone who knew nothing about cars. We recently purchased a 2015 VW Eos. Why a 2015 and not a 2016, you ask? Color. I wanted the blue. Now, when you are my age, you listen more to what you want, more than what is convenient to get. We had gone to a local dealer and was told to choose from the colors on the lot. Thank goodness for the internet. Even though there were only 4 blue VW Eos on the east coast, Forrest made it happen. Just as he said he could and would. We have had the car for one week and love it! It's quiet even with the top down! You can hear normal conversation. But I now know why people yahoo in convertibles! It is like flying along in the open! And It purrs! OMG! It purrs and is a fun fun ride and drive! A true VW! This was my first major vehicle purchase and it turned out to be much better than I thought it would. Although, I'm reviewing the KIA, whenever I can afford a VW TDI I will definitely come to purchase it from here. Excellent car selection, friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, and staff that was honest and worked with me to find the right vehicle. I originally began looking for a VW Jetta TDI, but found that it was out of my budget range. Although it was clear I would not purchase one, the staff was more than willing to answer my questions and give me details about their vehicles whether it was good or bad. Its not every dealer that you will get that honesty, as most will try to persuade you to purchase anything. I found the advertisement online and decided to check it out. Rick made sure I was comfortable driving the car and took me out for a long test ride to really see if it was what I expected. As the rating suggests I was extremely pleased with the vehicle. The KIA was in excellent condition and Rick and Myles went over and beyond to make sure I was happy. I WILL do business again with this dealership and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The first car we happened to be lucky enough to get Mr. Maat as our sales rep, but for the second vehicle we sought him out. He is the sole reason Leith Volkswagen of Raleigh got our business and if they had a dozen sales staff just like him they would put the other car dealerships out of business in a flash. My new Passat is a great car for many reasons such as the black w/silver-trim interior, Bluetooth, back-up camera, satellite radio, very good fuel consumption, and wheel traction & handing. Just before my 30 day check-up, my Passat hit a set of rough railroads tracks and one severe pothole on the right side; the car was not damaged at all-no loss of tire pressure, no wheel damage, and no steering problems. The ride is the best feature-smooth & firm (just a little road/engine noise to let people know where you are). The well made car doors are enclosed in a superior steel frame. The car doors respond to the slightest touch-no need to slam these doors. I like the Car-Net program/features and the Car-Net App (when you download the app you get a extra remote which controls door locks, lights, car status, horn, and etc) Every time I visit the North Raleigh Dealership I always say hello to two experienced employees-Salesman Miles Maat and Technician Wes Shell.

My local dealer couldn't find the VW I wanted nearby so after a few hours of searching online, I found it at Leith VW in Raleigh, I contacted June Stockwell and within fifteen minutes we had a deal! I then flew from Las Vegas to Raleigh, where June kindly picked me up at the airport, drove me to the dealership and within an hour the paperwork was done and I was driving off in a new 2015 Golf S TDI. June even made sure all the paperwork was correct so I didn't have to pay fees that I didn't need to (as an out of state buyer) thereby saving even more money. I've already picked out my next VW, a white GTI S, and June will be the first person I call. It is worth it to me to travel across country for such a pleasant buying experience.

The service department of Leith VW of Raleigh is stellar. Led by the awesome service manager, Kevin Herbowy, the staff really understands excellent customer service. They are friendly and familiar with you/your car when you arrive for service, and they go out of their way to fix problems and offer solutions. I especially like to work with Adam Ridge or Aaron Helms for my service appointments, they are so nice. The waiting area is pretty remarkable - cozy, modern seating and complimentary coffee and snacks. I have had to use a loaner vehicle from the dealership while my GTI was being repaired over a few days, and that experience was wonderful. Even though the dealership is quite the drive for me to visit from my home downtown, it's worth it to have the peace of mind that the service will be great and I'll always be completely satisfied. Even when I've had issues at appointments, they are remedied right away and I'm made to feel like an important customer. There are nice sidewalks around the dealership, too, so I've gone on a walk/run while waiting for short services like oil changes. If you love your VW as much as me, you MUST take it here for service! I highly recommend them for always going above and beyond to make sure I'm happy.

We recently leased a 2015 Tiguan and were so excited that we were able to upgrade to a better model than expected through the help of Gene Issac. Many simply would not answer questions unless I made the trip to the dealer in person. Thankfully, that was not the case with Leith VW in Raleigh. I recently bought a 2014 Jetta and while they were friendly during the buying process and made me a ton of promises as far as the perks of what VW has to offer. Including telling me "We at VW believe in Customer service being a priority, So if your car has any issue including body work we will issue a loaner car until it is fixed." Well a few months went by and my car failed me and rolled down a hill into a tree. I called to bring it to the dealership to get fixed but they were not equipped to fix the issues that needed fixing. They had me bring it to a 3rd party to get it fixed. Then told me that because it was not getting fixed at the dealership I could not use a loaner car. Now I am out a car, lost my jobs because i couldn't get to work and on the verge of losing my apartment because this dealership is not equipped to fix my car. I talked to Southern states and they actually are equipped for all situations including body damage. Not only were they rude when I tried to talk to them they all but said "Sorry you lost your job, but what do we care we already made our money off you" I will never again do business with VW especially leith. JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS, THE GERMAN WAY SINCE WWII

My wife and I bought a gently-used Jetta TDI from Leith recently and had a great experience. We arrived on the lot, and took our time looking over the selection. We already had our eye on the Jetta, but checked out some of the other models. Were not hunted down like some other dealerships, but we strolled at our own pace, which was nice. Once we decided to take the car for a test drive, the dealer we would eventually buy the car from introduced himself and got the keys for us. He showed us all the features of the car, let us take a close look at everything, and then went for a spin. After the test drive, we told him we had some other cars we wanted to look at he couldn't have had a better attitude. He said "I understand, do your diligence." We took a look at some other cars, but really liked the Jetta. It was in fantastic shape and the price was right. I had my eye on the car for a few weeks and watched the price drop a few times until it was what I thought was fair, I didn't even haggle as the car had <14,000 miles and was $5,500 less than the sticker price on the new models. The buying process was great, you still get the finance guy upselling you stuff, but he was nice and even gave us .9% financing, which is the best I've ever had for a used car. The facilities are also really nice and clean. I was able to check in on march madness games in between rounds of the enevitable endless paperwork. Overall the whole experience was great, and as pain-free as I've ever had, and so far the car has been a great purchase.

Leaving Honda was very difficult for me as I was with them for many years but when I spoke with Bill McNamara (who I always dealt with at Honda), he reassured me that VW would be a good change. Well, he could not have been more on the money with that statement. As we drive into the parking lot, Kent met us in the parking lot and took us inside to talk about the EOS, which he was very knowledgeable about. When we were on the test drive, I was sold not only on the car but Kent. I have never been with a salesman on a test drive that explained every single feature on the car. He also answered every question that I had without hesitation. I was undecided about the color so he took us over to the other lot so that I could actually see the color instead of picking from the brochure. When I went to do the dreaded paperwork, Kent assured me that I would be done within 30 minutes and I actually was! Usually once you get a car, they wave goodbye to you, not Kent. He has actually called and emailed to make sure I am learning how to use all the features and liking the car. One line to sum up the experience is, the car was sold because of Kent. Kudos to Leith VW for having Kent on their staff!!! I will recommend him to any of my friends without hesitation.

Gene Isaac was our salesperson at Leith VW and sold us a 2014 Jetta SportWagen this past Saturday night. Gene made it quick and easy to get the car that I wanted at a fair price. We started our exchange over email. I had found the car on cars.com, but since these wagons seem to sell quickly, I knew I needed reach out to verify the car was still available. It was, thank goodness. Gene replied to my inquiry over email quickly and professionally. He offered a fair price for the car, coming in under what dealers closer to home were willing to offer and right at what I was hoping for as a target price. He also negotiated a fair deal for my trade-in. We did all of this over phone and email before we made the 3-hour drive to Raleigh to sign the paperwork and pick up the car. It was totally worth the drive. They even stayed late to work with us, which was really important given how far we had driven to get there. I also really appreciate that we had the details worked out before we made the drive, as it would have been very frustrating to go so far and not reach an agreement. I absolutely love my new Jetta SportWagen and couldn't have asked for a more straightforward purchasing experience. Gene communicated quickly, clearly, and professionally and helped to make the process virtually painless. I was in the market for a used vehicle and was fortunate enough to find a certified pre-owned Jettta at Leigh VW. Knowing I did not want to rush into buying a car, I did my research on vehicles, dealerships, and costs. After some time doing my own due diligence, I positioned myself to start bidding after finding a near identical certified Jetta at another VW dealer. Victor! THE MAN WITH A PLAN! Wow he was amazing. For whatever reason things were just going bad for my and my car engine blew up and it was gonna be insane to fix it. And then i saw Victor not trying to hound at me to buy a car or anything, he simple asked what was wrong and i vented about what was going on with this car i got from a used car dealership, how i took it to a non- VW dealer and how it is now messed up and how i needed a car and was overly stress about money even more. he was calm and let me know that i could possibly trade it in, about there loyalty program, there buy-out program, and about the sales they happened to be running on the brand new Jetta. I was immediately put a little at ease but afraid because Summit dealership really screwed up my credit because they had no care for for me as a person. I had to go back several days in a row to get the money and deal done because of my credit but they were amazing and really worked with me, fitting me not to the car of my dreams but the car of my reality a 2014 Jetta S it had 11miles on it and still amazing! And once i get my credit sorted out I'm defiantly going to Leith VW of Raleigh and asking for Victor to get my dream car. Every person in that place was great and supportive I can't say enough about how they brought me through a really difficult time.

When I told him that I was looking to buy a new car he quickly saw to the other car and returned to show me the lot. There was no run around when it came to what I wanted. We bought our sixth car from Leith Vw this December. The subtle improvements on the Jetta Se are really exciting. It drives powerfully like a Mercedes c300, like the one I traded in. The car continues to blow me away because of the low price on the lease. It is a nice feeling to feel like you got more than your money's worth. The buying experience was my best one. Kent Beard (who has no beard by the way) was efficient with our time and worked diligently to get us a fantastic deal and exactly what we wanted. He was patient, did not cut any corners and when we arrived to pick up our cars, they were out front with giant ribbons on top. It made us feel special and the experience of leasing two cars an enjoyable one. By the way, no money down and only 20 bucks a month more to get into 2014 safety technology. That is what I call a good deal. It was a better buying experience than when I bought my Mercedes. In my book, VW is the best deal out there for the highest quality and reasonable price. Call Kent.

I bought a car in 2011 and have been happy with the car overall. A few issues here and there, but they were repaired in the end (one repair was done incorrectly, but nothing major). The buying process was pretty typical car dealer... they say they will beat any price, but when you show them written offers from competitors, they hemmed and hawed and tried to wiggle out. In the end, I got a good price (~20% below sticker), but only because I wouldn't back down on holding them to their own claims. What really bothers me is the endless junk mail and telemarketing calls I get. I gave this place my work # (the only place I've ever given my work number). At first, I got XM calling me over and over trying to sell me a radio subscription, then it was the warranty salesmen, and now the warranty people are back along with all sorts of random sellers. Then there's the junk mail. I don't need monthly mailers telling me they want to buy my car back (and sell me a new one). After asking them 5 times to stop, in writing, they continue to send me junk mail. They will sell your personal info, they will fill your trash can. Your phone won't stop ringing with robo-calls. I recommend you shop elsewhere.

I went to Leith VW of Raleigh to buy a new 2013 Jetta TDI. I was disappointed to hear that there were no female sales people at most of the Leith dealers in Raleigh. I happened upon Victor Montgomery for my salesperson and he was a good salesperson. He knew so much about the VW line and was very helpful in the buying process. He was awesome! I gave 4 stars for buying process because Leith will only match what other dealers will give you for the price of the car not because that is the value of the car. I was disappointed with this sales tactic because I didn't experience this at other dealers throughout the state. They wanted to make you a deal because they wanted you in their car, not like leith who only wanted to match the competitions prices. I almost walked away in the process because of this but I ended up staying because I liked Victor.

I'm 65 and have run into too many disingenuous salesmen too many times. I lucked into a gem with Sarah Snead, at Leith Volkswagen. At first visit, she was amiable, and more important, extremely knowledgeable about the 2013 Jetta Sportswagen TDI. Not too technical, but very thorough. Never pushy, always honest, and genuinely pleasant to talk with. A long and pleasurable test drive, much longer than I'd had at a prior Toyota dealership. I was so impressed with both the car and Sarah, that I urged my husband (who'd driven/liked a PriusV the day before, and who'd already left the buying decision to me) to take the 20' drive there to meet Sarah and drive the Jetta. She spent the same time with him, and he came back with the same glowing impression. That was it for him. His nonchalance over car buying changed to "Jetta is sturdier/classier, and Sarah is heads above anyone I've ever dealt with" . We cannot more highly recommend Sarah, the manager, and the whole dealership for this seamless purchase. Integrity reigned at every step.

When I meet Erik we were just starting to consider purchasing a VW from Leith. After shopping around local dealers, he was able to match the deal that I found elsewhere. Although the car wasn't available at the time, he set forth the effort to put us first on the list for the new 2014's. I have just done something that is very abnormal for me. I bought a vehicle sight unseen. I have been looking for a certified 2012 Light Blue Volkswagen Routan with low mileage and found one on the internet but it was 540 miles away. I live in Murfreesboro, TN and immediately contacted Kent Beard after reading all the good reviews about Leith Volkswagem in Raleigh, NC. Kent is the best car sales person I have ever dealt with. I felt just by talking to him on the phone I totally trusted him. The Routan was over $1500 less than any other car I found. What else could I ask for? Great vehicle, great customer service and at a great price. I flew to Raleigh on Sunday and Kent picked up the next morning in my new Routan. I drove it to the dealership, signed the papers and was on my way home in 45 minutes. What a great experience. Thanks Kent and Leigh Volkswagen.

The Leith Volkswagen dealership in Raleigh made possible the best car buying experience I have ever had. In researching prior to this purchase, I had been in contact with five other VW dealers and chose Leith Volkswagen and Sarah for their no nonsense sales practices. The entire (non-aggressive) staff was attentive and courteous. Sarah was extremely professional, competent and organized. She was very knowledgeable about the products and their capabilities, and was responsive to all my inquiries from the initial email. Karim, in the Finance office, was fantastic and made every effort to ensure clarity and understanding of all documentation, and completely resolved all matters prior to my departure from the dealership. He was personable, professional, and portrayed a genuine concern for getting the best deal for the customer. The new building and location had an inviting and casual atmosphere, and the dealership layout was ideal.

I love our new Tiguan. I have never had a car right off the ship and with 0 mileage!! But more than being impressed with how smooth it drives and the perks that come with this model, is the service we received from the dealership and Kent Beard. Our fourteen year old son will "inherit" this vehicle and I have already set my sights on a Beetle!!! We will definitely purchase another vehicle from Kent! Very good experience, I was encouraged to compare models, and not steered into something I didnt want. Kent was great to work with, always looking out for my interests, not pushing me to buy today all the time. I compared to Ford, Mazda, Mercedes, and still the VW GTI was the best car out there. It feels like an affordable Porsche. I would encourage you to visit Leith VW and give them a chance to win your business.

I recently sent in a "request a quote" to Volswagen of Raleigh I was immediately contacted by Kent Beard who provided pricing etc.. After reading his e-mail I was left with a few trivial questions so I called him on the phone number he provided. It was after 7:00pm when he answered - from home, he politely answered all my questions. He left me feeling much more comfortable and knowledgeable, not to mention I enjoyed the conversation with Kent! Afterward we e-mailed each other several times regarding my trade. During this time Kent had to give me some tough news regarding the value of my trade to save me a 1 hour trip to Raleigh (but he didnt have to) Again during that conversation he was so personable, polite and just down to earth that I felt like I needed to meet him person to person to discuss this puchase further. I drove 1 hour to meet him, soon thereafter I had made an agreement to purchase a 2013 Jetta TDI. The sole reason for purchasing this vehicle from Volkswagen of Raleigh is Kent Beard. I could have went anywhere but Kents kind spirit, positive attitude and willingness to help sold me. He's not only a great salesman he's also one heck of a good person.

I found my deal on line, I called Mrs. Sarah Snead at Leith Volkwagon of Raleigh, set up an appointment to see several of their vehicles which were all fairly priced. I was impressed by the customer sevice and after the test drive, my husband and I were satisfied, and purchased our 2008 Honda CR-V for my budgeted price. I would recommend shopping around on line, research the various vehicles in the style you are looking and then start setting your appointments for test drive. I had been to several dealerships, this was the only one that I felt absolutely no pressure. Thank you Sarah!
