Chris Larson our sales person was excellent. We were able to negotiate the entire deal over the phone. Then pick up the car the next day. This is the third car we have purchased from Lia Brewster Honda and the last two we have worked with Christopher Larson/ When our next lease comes due, we plan on buying from Chris Larson again. He is the best!!!

First, I am not someone who typically complains, but after the service I received today I cannot be silent. I had an appointment for a diagnostic test and software upgrade to repair a problem. I knew it was 1 - 2 hour app, no problem. I am waiting 4 and a half hours, no one has come to get me. I am the last person in waiting room, finally someone says "hey you've been her a long time, let me check on your car" after giving my name twice, the guy that checks me in hands me my keys and says you are good to go. I looked at the time stamp and the car had been done for over 3 hours. No apologies, nothing. I realize I am a just a stay at home mom, but my time is just as valuable. I will never come back.

Seeking a car at times can be stressful, however a great dealership and even a better sales person can guide you through that process. Such is what I found at Lia Honda and with sales pro Christopher Larson. The experience was painless and to the point, A great thanks to both!SincerelyKQ

Have been a customer at Brewster HONDA since the early 1990's. Service and sales are excellent, friendly, and very helpful. When I was ready for a new car, I was fortunate to be able to work with the sam e sales person, Rose, who is one of the best. She had sold us our cars in 2001 and 2003 and sold me on a 2016 civic now. Highly recommend this dealership and this salesperson.

Hi!I bought 2016 Honda Civic LX Aug. 25th, 2016. Main reason that I bought that right away was the Salesman, Jorge Taylor. I liked him a lot. I did not go to anywhere else, like I do usually buying a car.Jorge's knowledge is great. Also, he was not pushy at all. He was very friendly and smiling all time.I cannot say anything negative about him. My Wife agrees my opinion completely.Thank you very much Jorge and good luck.

Barry Weiss at Lia Honda Brewster New York made selecting and buying a car a very enjoyable experience. In a few hours he helped me select, finance, and drive out with the car I wanted. I never felt rushed or pressured and he took time to explain the car in great detail and he answered all of my questions. He also made sure that I knew he would be available in the future in the event I have additional questions on anything relating to my particular car or on other Honda models. I've always been impressed with the staff at Honda dealerships, but Barry represents the best of the best.

I was bothered by their service department, which totally blew me off when I requested service on an airbag recall. They told me they would put me on a list and call me when the parts would come in; they said it would be about 2 weeks. It is now 3 months later, I have already gotten the recall fixed by Danbury Honda (which kindly gave me a rental for the past three months while they waited for parts) and STILL I have not heard back from Brewster Honda. I can only believe that the service dept lied to me so they wouldn't have to deal with getting me a rental while waiting for the parts to fix my airbag recall.

Per my mother, who was the car buyer: The SALESMAN was fine. The gentlemen she dealt with in finance, she felt could have handled the way he explained things better. It seemed (to her) that she had little to no options due to a relative's issue w/credit (she had been a cosigner) and, time was of the essence so she needed to do something quickly - it made her nervous.

I came into Lia Honda of Brewster with a pretty clear idea of wanting to purchase a new Honda Fit, or perhaps a larger SUV. Dan Salamone was very helpful in explaining the vehicle options and benefits. I drove the Fit and liked it and waited a week for my spouse to try it. In that time there were no high pressure phone calls, just one polite check in call from Dan. The purchase process went very smoothly and Dan and other staff members respected my time and wishes regarding options and add-ons. I found Dan and the staff to be very helpful, professional and efficient. We're enjoying our new Fit!

Went to Lia Brewster Honda a week ago. I was making my second purchase there within the past 3 years. My salesman was Mike Wedrogowski. He was really helpful and patient when it came to purchasing (leasing) the car I really wanted. I told him what I was willing to pay for the car and he was able to work with me to get within range of that amount. My car was ready the next day for pickup. When I came back, the final document signings took about 15 minutes and I was out the door with a brand new 2016 Honda Accord Sport. All in all, I was very satisfied with Brewster Honda and its staff.

The services started to push all kinds services they can charge you for, including all kinds of fluids and auto parts& tires. The list of services range from $119 to $750. I went back to my friend who is a mechanic and found out that none of the suggested services are needed for a 2 year old car with less than 30K. People there are working on a commission basis. The comprehensive overage is a joke. Do not buy from them. Avoid this dealership!

Brought the car in for airbag recall and to fix the door lock. The diagnostic fee for the door lock was $150 + another $150 to fix it. They replaced the airbags and the airbag light stays on they say because it is probably a bad sensor on the seat belt. To find out $150 diagnostic fee, and since the light stays on the airbags won't deploy if you have an accident, so what was the purpose of replacing the air bags? At this point I would buy a Volkswagen before I waste any money on a Honda. Avoid this "stealership" like the plague

He also said, "it is 9:00 what do you expect." It was only 7:45. I was very disappointed. I have bought cars from them before and had great service. Very disappointed about this experience. Confidence and Trust are the key words to describe this service dept. I am on my third lease andcomeback because of the trust I have in them. Eg. I came in for an oil and filter change. I alsorequested a tire rotation. To my surprise they told me the tire change was not necessary at this time..I am not sure that type of honesty exists at all dealerships.

This is our third car that we purchased from Brewster Honda and each experience was seamless, We always ask for Carlos Albuquerque as he is just wonderful!!!! Carlos answers every question completely and always takes the time to explain the different types of vehicles along with all the buying options. There is never any pressure at all to purchase a car which is so appreciated. Carlos Albuquerque is a one in a million salesman!!! My family and I always feel like this dealership would never steer us wrong and we have been right!!! We love all three of our Hondas that we have owned/presently own. The financial advisor Rocco was also very helpful and patient in explaining our lease. this was appreciated as we have always bought in the past and had quite a few questions on leasing. Overall, through the years we have only had wonderful experiences at Brewster Honda and mostly due to the great salesmanship and guidance Carlos Albuquerque has shown us. We thank him so very much and we will definitely return to buy another Honda through him when the time comes. Thank You !!!

When I recently went to Brewster Honda for a mileage service and air bag recall replacements I was signed in by Kira Bueti. There was also a list of work they compiled that may or may not have to be done along with the cost of each item. My Pilot is original 2003 with 205K miles, so we keep track of everything like it's family. Well, isn't it? Kira was very polished and smart and obviously knows exactly what she's doing. Usually, the same service person and tech take care of my Pilot. At first I was wondering how much I may have to explain to Kira. That thought lasted about :02 seconds--actually less. Kira also has a very engaging personality which makes for a much more pleasant conversation than to be expected when you bring your car in for service. There is not much more to say. Kira Bueti is very professional and a consummate customer service agent.

Bought two brand cars new May 2014. Had to wait 4 hours to complete the sale even though I had a scheduled appt. My car was a disgrace, barely detailed ,gas tank was not full and there were dirt stains on both the front and back seats of the car. I had to return the following week to get the car re-detailed, with attitude from the dealership. Went for oil change and inspections this week on both cars. Only my car was inspected, dealership said my husband didn't book his for an inspection, even though they sold the cars together and they are BOTH due this month. Curry Honda always sent reminders the cars were due. When we were checked in outside at the service entrance were you are instructed to wait, (beware the massive POTHOLES ) embarrassing for a car dealership, my husband said his car was there for an inspection and oil change. After an hour and a half wait, our name was called but again ,only my car has complete service. Kira Bueti stepped up and fixed the issue by having my husband's car taken immediately so it was only a short wait. I thank her for making a bad situation better.

In the spring of 2015, I visited Honda of Brewster, New York to purchase a pre-owned Honda, because my current Honda lease was expiring. 3 (three) years earlier, I leased a new Honda vehicle from Honda of Brewster. After reviewing their inventory and working with the sales person, my decision came down to 2 (two) Honda vehicles. The sales person took all my information down, and handed it off their finance manager, Rob Schneider. They ran credit and qualified me for a loan. For both Honda vehicles I was provided a total loan amount, interest rate, tax rate, and monthly payment. Based on 3 (three) separate web site loan calculators (to validate the calculations are correct), the payments did not look correct. All the calculators confirmed Honda of Brewster was charging $49 per month for 72 months to cover their internal charges for me to purchase a $16,000 Honda vehicle. This represents over 22% of the vehicle purchase price. So, I sent my concerns via email to the finance manager, Rob Schneider. I did not receive a reply back. I called the finance manager, Rob Schneider, several times before he would speak with me. Several times he said, he is too busy to speak with me about my deal and email. When he found time to speak with me, I asked him for an itemized list of purchase costs. I was met by the following comments during our conversation:I do not know what you mean when you say, truth in lendingI have already spent enough time on your deal [2 (two) vehicles]I am busy and do not have time to walk you through the purchase costsYou came to us [to purchase a vehicle--I could not believe he said this to me]I could not believe how Rob Schneider was speaking to me during our phone conversation. If you are not transparent and withhold financial information from customers, excellent customer service from other departments will not make up for this. Spending $16,000 is a major purchase for most people, and Honda of Brewster should take this seriously. I understand that Honda dealerships are high volume sales, but my opinion is that if I intend to purchase something from a business, you need to sell your product to me. I expect to get something in exchange for my money. Finance manager, Rob Schneider, has the perception that Honda of Brewster is doing customers a favor by selling their vehicles. Sorry Rob, the vehicles are nice, but your products are Honda vehicles. I plan on taking my business to another local Honda dealershipsThere are many of them.Assuming Rob Schneider performs well in his role and you want him to remain in the role of finance manager, my recommendation to the dealership manager is either of the 2 (two):1.Remove from the purchase process, customer interaction steps with Rob Schneidera.Customer interaction remains with the sales person and/or the sales manager2.Provide Rob Schneider with Customer Centricity and/or Sensitivity TrainingYours Truly,Ex Honda of Brewster Customer

Kathleen Colletti, a delightful woman, was the salesperson who stepped in to helpme when I showed up to buy a car. She really saw me through every phase of what I ( and a lot of other people) consider one of the most difficult things to do. I had put it off for a while, my old car, a 14 yo VW was giving hints that it needed to be put out to pasture. I wanted something smaller, more compact, more reasonable and local. The Honda FITis what I got and I am very pleased!..... thank you!

John Booth was easy to deal with. My issue is that since the beginning of this lease, the dealership has had the wrong VIN# associated with the car. The car had to be taken off the road after driving in it for almost 1 year. While the registration is correct, this dealership STILL has the wrong information in THEIR computer. Something needs to be corrected on their end. Not professional at all!

This was the second car I purchased from this dealer. The experience both times was excellent. My sales person, Patrick McGrath, was also excellent--helpful, informative and on top of the process at all times without being pushy. What I really appreciate is that they crame up with the best price right off the bat without the usual back and forth. I was simultaneously in discussions with another dealer that always wanted to know what Brewster was offering so they could match it. In the end they came very close but by then I had lost confidence in them.

Terrible EXP, first time buyer. I was looking to finance a used Honda Accord 2012. However they were not flexible with the price at all at first... They were extremely pushy, and called me about 10 times the day after I placed a deposit down. As I started finding cheaper deals elsewhere, I asked if they could match, they said no. So as I relayed that information to the finance manager, Rob Schneider, he got extremely short and nasty with me. Didn't even want to give me the time of day after that. I also found my own rate that was about 3% less than what their nasty finance guy was "able to do for me". So then I was able to find a used Acura at Acura of Westchester with less miles and the same specs as the accord I was looking at. When I proceeded to tell them that I found the Acura, and that I was going there, they then finally asked me what it would take to make the deal happen. At this point, I realized these people were game-players. We always see it as customers, but you don't want to think they are toying with you. Well the minute I had no interest in dealing with their nasty, rude and inconsiderate employees, they then wanted to make a deal? Just funny. Then the Sales Supervisor Norman Horne, was extremely rude to me on the phone. Continued to tell me that I was not the customer in this situation and that my feelings as the customer were discounted because I cancelled the deal. Bottom line is they didn't want to work with me until I had enough. The car also had a dead battery when I first went to take it for a test drive. They are real jerks here, and have no customer service experience. They would rather talk down to a customer, who had already had a family member buy a BRAND NEW CRV very recently. Go to Danbury Honda if you are in this area. PS - They then told me they couldn't refund me my deposit unless I showed up between the hours of 9-5, making it inconvenient for anyone who works during those hours.

He was very respectful and was not talking down to me, I was going to check around at other suv's but Morgan was very informative, and was not pushy. I did a test drive of the CRV and was hooked , my husband and I came back saturday morning and signed the papers. I love how the CRV handles and it sounds so solid when you close the doors, I have no doubt we will love this car as much as the Odyssey, maybe more, it fun to drive. We recently purchased a 2014 Honda CRV from Brewster Honda. We went to Brewster Honda based on recommendations of neighbors and friends. We were greeted by ,our sales person, Rose Romeo. Rose was terrifIc..she listened to our needs, answered our questions, made suggestions, and above all treated us in a friendly professional manner. Once we selected the specific trim level and options, Rose introduced us to Robert Schneider ( Honda's Business Manager). Like Rose, Robert was friendly and professional. He patiently answered all our questions and helped us obtain the financial options that we requested. Rose and Robert made this a very pleasurable experience

I was planning on buying a new Honda Civic in Oct of 2013, I had put the deposit down. My mother and I had both bought cars through Brewster Honda before, through the Costco Program, and were very happy with dealership at that time. But this time it was a different story. . First I had problems with Rose who was not very pleasant and very pushy on the phone, calling me at work when I asked her not to. Then when I went to the dealership I dealt with Marcelo, he was okay during the time of the sale, a little full fo himself. The problem was when he wanted me to pick up my car. I told him I could not pick it up on that day, because my mother was dying. He wanted me to come that night to pick it up, I told him I could not. He said I had to pick it up the next morning or at least sign the papers, or I would not get the good deal. (He was not even going to be there, so if it was so important why would he not take the effort to come in for the signing. I kept telling him, I was all the way in New Milford with my Mom but he kept insisting that I come in, even saying he talked with the manager and that the manager said I had to sign the papers by that morning. I was so upset, I cancelled buying the car from the dealership. I will never forget how awful this experience was for me.That the sale of a car was more important then the life of my Mom

I purchased through the Costco Auto program, and I highly recommend purchasing vehicles from Jonathon Saba. Our experience at this dealer was overall excellent. We were extremely satisfied with the sales consultant - Jon. I was less impressed (if at all) of my experience with the business manager. The review below lists both experience. Here are the reasons we recommend Jon.1) Patience - Jon was very patient in answering all of our questions, even those that may not seem so relevant to the purchase of a vehicles - for example, where is the Honda's headquarter. He answered questions with patience and did not show any annoyance. 2) Gratitude & sincere - Jon made us felt that our efforts to trust a sales consultant was appreciated. Jon told us, more than once, that our business with him means a lot to him; that our return to purchase the vehicle meant a lot to him (we did not make the purchase on our initial visit). He was sincerely and I appreciate his gratitude. He didn't take us for granted just because Brewster Honda has the best price (and if he was only acting sincere, then he is a very talented actor).3) Not pushy - while I can feel the pressure of buying car, I did not feel uncomfortable. The amount of pressure was just enough to let me know that - yes, he wants to make the sale, but no, I don't need to tell him to back off.4) Easy going but professional - Jon is very easy going, makes jokes but extremely professional and detailed-oriented. He drove us to see the car multiple times: once to see the exterior is black, then to see the upholster is black, then to compare if we want grey or black upholster. He wanted to make sure that every step of the process is accurate; that we have a full understanding of what we are paying, and that we are happy.5) Helpful - This relates to our first impression at the dealer. When we pulled in the lot, Jon was standing outside. He saw us, waved to say hi, greeted us, and walked us to our appointment with Toni. I didn't know he was going to be our sales consultant and he probably didn't know we will be his customer. The point is, he could have stood there, nodded, and said - "the receptionist is inside." Note that bullets 1-5 occurred prior to we pay for the car. 6) Professional even after we bought the car - We got the keys and Jon sat inside the car and showed us how to operate the screen, connect blue tooth, the wheel lock, etc. It was a Saturday and we had been at the dealer since 9:30. Everyone was exhausted, I was getting inpatient and wanted to go home, but Jon maintained his patience and helped us settled in the new car.7) Jon showed us around and introduced us to the manager and service shop. He wanted to make sure that when we come in the next time, we know where to go and who to see. This is very thoughtful of him and we appreciated it.Jonathon Saba is an extremely professional sales consultant who is knowledgeable of Honda vehicles as well as the overall car industry. He is patient, sincere, not pushy, respectful, easy going, helpful, and pleasant to work with. He is fully aware of his role and goal as a sales consultant and he is talented and outstanding at his job. I would highly recommend purchasing vehicle with him.A side not - ask Job for his Ceviche recipe.Below is my review for the experience with the business manager - Terrible and tragic. We had the most terrible experience (and human interaction) with the business manager. It was the attitude, comments, and remarks that really threw us off. We as customers, make our decisions and approach to purchase based on our preference, and understanding of our financial situation. I did not feel comfortable nor happy with how we were treated. It is our choice to buy or not buy products that are being offered to us, and a professional business manager should not have let us felt that we are wasting his time because for the records, we were not interested in sitting down a business manager at the first place.

Buying a car should be a very simple process. Price of the car minus trade-in allowance gives you the cost. Then what is the loan rate and term length. That gives you the monthly cost to buy the car. Then if you want to lower your monthly payment you can put additional funds down. Very simple. Not at brewster honda though. They lie about everything, refuse to answer very simple questions concerning financing, try to give you almost nothing on trade-in, etc.. They had a nice cpo pilot that was priced about right that i went there with every intention of buying. After dealing with their sales nonsense I walked out. Id rather pay an honest dealer more money than give them a dime.

The sales person told me about how important writing reviews for them is... check other sites most are rated at 2.5 stars or less. After being called suborn by the used sales manager (norm) I almost walked out but the price the the car I purchased kept me there. I later found they lied about everything on the Certified Pre Owned report the car was left with open recalls, I was charged $25 for a "free tank of gas" My credit card was later charged by them for over $300 for no reason, the car was not cleaned (including a broken umbrella left in the trunk) and there were no floor mats in the car... Most importantly the air filter, break fluid, and steering fluid were not changed costing me $400 If it was just an open recall, $25 gas fee along with being uncleaned I would have though the car was worth the money but with everything added in it cost me just as much in the end as it would have to shop at a reputable dealer. Thankfully my awesome credit card company cleared there fraudulent charges. ***Check other rating sites you will see brewster workers obviously write there own reviews on here more accurate sites have them rated at 2.5 stars at best***

This dealership has the worst customer service department I have ever encountered. I have owned a Honda for the past 12 years, been to many dealerships. I try to go to other dealerships for service when possible but Brewster is the closest. On my most recent visit the two girls in service were arguing and rolling their eyes at each other, it was very uncomfortable from the beginning. I was there solely to get a new key made which they told me would take an hour. 2 hours later it was still not done. Employees are very rude and do not care at all about the customer.

As loyal Honda drivers, we decided to trade a 2003 Accord for a 2013 CRV. When our long-time dealer came back with what we felt was an overly low trade value, a neighbor suggested we contact Brewster Honda. The purchasing experience was seamless -- Danny Espinal made what can sometimes be a stressful experience quite stress-free, we received what we thought was a fair value on our trade, and despite our concerns about purchasing from a dealer across state lines, the registration / transfer procedure was completely painless. We're very pleased with the new vehicle and the way Brewster Honda handled everything. To cap it off, a few weeks after taking possession of the CRV, we received a check from Brewster Honda refunding a slight overcharge on the NY-CT registration/plate transfer. We highly recommend the dealership and Mr. Espinal.

Upon arrival they refused to honor coupon - said the coupon was a typo. Ray was extremely rude - acted as if this was all my mistake and that I was trying to cheat tehm. I asked to be transferred to the operator so I could speak with the Site Manger and was hung up on. I called back and asked again to be transferred to the operator but was transferred to the sales Dept. They did agree to only change the oil instead of teh long list of items - but serviced everyone else first - I asked if they could just rotate the tires - as Mavis and Corsi tires will do when they change your oil - Ray was not willing to do one minute of extra labor. Brewter Honda really knows how to take care of their customers!!! I can't say enough good things about the overall dealership and also the respect and courtesy that I was shown. I have purchased and leased many cars and my overall experience at Brewster Honda was far superior to any other dealership I have worked with including some of the fellow Honda dealers in the surrounding areas. Dante and Anthony made my car buying experience very pleasant and I really felt like they cared. They were full of knowledge and were very willing to give me as much information as possible so that I could make an informed decision. I was also really pleased that they were able to work with me and my budget and get me in a brand new Honda CRV 2012. I have already recommended this dealership to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so. I have been buying cars from Brewster Honda since 2003. I wouldn't go anywhere else. We always have had a wonderful, easy, joyful car buying experience there. Now my dad has moved into the area and he wanted to end his lease early and go into a Civic. The response from Anthony was "Not a problem at all". They worked with my dad, on lease price, etc. and he was happy right away. My dad wanted the car that day, again, no problem. The whole process took about 2 hours. Start to finish. Anthony was fantastic and so wonderful to deal with. Rose was also wonderful and so helpful. My dad is so happy.I only go to Brewster Honda for service as well. First class, A++++. I can't say enough good things about them. It is a very friendly, easy going, caring, car dealership.

I had high expectations of Brewster Honda based on my prior purchase and servicing of my 2005 Accord at this dealership. As I was preparing to replace it with a 2012 model, I was particularly interested in Bluetooth and the Navigation system, options with which I had very limited prior experience. My Sales Consultant, Luke Viggiani, did an excellent job of reviewing these features and I did purchase them. When I picked up my car today, Luke connected my cell phone to Bluetooth and gave me a quick tutorial on the Navigation system. My purchase process was very well handled and I will recommend both Luke and Brewster Honda to friends. Ellen

The overall experience at Brewster Honda was extraordinary. My wife and I were met at the door by the salesman Anthony. He was extremely friendly and gave our son a small foam car to play with, in order to keep him occupied. The price was great on the vehicle we leased. We plan to keep returning every 3 years to get a new vehicle, and periodically to have them do the maintenance.

I recently leased a new 2012 CRV EL from Brewster Honda. I had never had such good experiece before. My past dealings with auto dealerships was never good.I had always equated them to "Tin Men". If you are old enough you will be familiar with the term. Anthony Pilla was sincere ,courteous, very patient. There wasn't pressure of any sort. I found them quite fair regarding my trade-in. I rated the price as "good"only because a"great" price for me would have made Brewster Honda a non-profit organization. Overall I left with the feeling of being treated fairly and honestly.

Working with Jon wasn't bad he didn't know much about the car he was selling me; didn't really know what was going on at all to be honest. Norm was diffidently as described in other ratings, rude and aggressive. After calling me suborn and doing as everyone else here said he stood over me until the deal was finished.I bought a "certified pre-owned" Honda says to qualify as a certified there has to be no outstanding recalls open on the vehicle, 2 keys + a valet key, and floor mats among other things. My car was missing a strip due to a manufacture defect that wasn't fixed (open recall) didn't come with a valet key or floor mats. Another dealership had to fix there mistakes. I would never shop there again or recommend them.Jon was quick to suggest writing positive reviews about him, which was really tacky, Im also sure that the dealers make up posts on sites like these. All around me customers were being talked down to. Had I not needed a car asap I would have looked else where.

Bought a very pricy "7 year 100,000" mile warranty at the purchase of my pre-owned car. Was told by the salesman Anthony Pilla that it covers me from when I purchase it. Recently went to get my car fixed, and was not only charged 50 for an oil change, but told my warranty expired not even two years after buying my car. They insist that it began when the first owner purchased the vehicle... What kind of crock is that? In the process of fighting it as I was never told anything about an original owner, and it clearly states that pre-owned coverage begins on service contract date.

I have been a customer of Brewster Honda for over ten years. I bought a Pilot and serviced my Acura there. I could not say enough about the sales and service. I would always recommend the dealership. About 6 months ago I went to buy another car. The sales department was eager to make a deal. They gave me a good price on the car. When I asked for an option that was important to me I was given a price that seamed very high. I questioned the price and it was confirmed to be very expensive. Wanting the car and the option I accepted the deal. When I got home my wife went on their web site to check the price of the option. It was listed for about half the price quoted installed. I called to complain and cancel the deal. They gave me the option I wanted for free and I bought the car. I went there again to purchase a car for my daughter. I asked for a price on my trade. They said they could not give me one until I decided on a car. I told them I knew my trade was not worth much but I needed to know what it was worth regardless of which car I picked. They would not give me a value. I ended up purchasing a car fro Danbury Honda. I am mad because I prefer on spending my money in the town that I live. I still swear by Brewster Hondas service department but I don't know what has happened to their sales department.

Avoid this dealer!I visited Brewster Honda for a certified used car and was greeted by Anthony Pilla. I did the test drive and he indicated that he would not sell the car at a price lower than advertised on their website. So I left. One week later, he called and left a message, saying that the car was still available and would welcome an offer. I emailed him with a fair offer. He called back immediately, saying that ok, if you put down a deposit, the car is yours. I confirmed with him that he accepted the price as I offered then I gave him my credit card number, for a $500 deposit. I drove 35 miles to Brewster to get the car. When I arrived, he presented me with a sales form, below the car price, there were several items: plates, registration, etc. Then I noticed an item: "vehicle prep $695". I asked him what that was. He said that's the charge "to certify the car for sale". I said you must be kidding, you advertised the car as "Certified Used Car", how can you possibly be charging a fee "to certify the car"?! I asked to speak to his supervisor. When the "supervisor" appeared, I asked how come there is a charge to certify the car while it was offered for sale as "certified car"? He said, no no no, Anthony was wrong. The charge was to cover the "prep'ping" of the vehicle for sale. Then the two started a brief argument in front of me... At the end, the "supervisor" told me, look, I can't sell you the car at that price! So i demanded refund of my deposit (It took 4 days for me to get the refund) and left. I drove 70 miles just to be fooled by these people! I was appalled by the unethical behaviors of these two salesmen at Brewster Honda (and their incompetence). No more Brewster Honda!

My first - and LAST Honda. Bought a new 2011 CR-V EX-L complete with navigation system in March, 2011. Sunroon sunshade made noise - so they changed the sun visor. Driver seat loose - they couldn't "duplicate" the noise - never corrected the problem. Tires bald at 17,000 miles - called normal wear and tear! Dealer no help resolving the problem and American Honda is totally useless - there is only one phone number for them in the entire US - and the same moron always answers the phone and does nothing. I had a fantastic experience at Brewster Honda. I've bought many cars and the experience I had a Brewster Honda was one of the best ever. My salesman, Will Darnell, was very astute in his knowledge of all the vehicles and was able to answer any and all of my questions. I've been to several dealerships over the last couple of months finding the right car and encountered many salesman who just say, "here it is!" you ask them questions and they can't tell you much about them other than you can find out on the Internet. Will worked hard to get me the best deal for my trade-in and for my new Pilot touring. I was extremely satisfied with my deal. The finance manager, Chuck Bowling, was professional and made everything easy to understand. He thoroughly explained all the financing issues, registration, and all the extras such as extended warranty/paint sealant. I did not buy the extended warranty nor the paint sealant, but he was not pushy in trying to have me add those on. Delivery of the vehicle was awesome! It was quick and thorough. I brought my wife in on delivery day and Will came in on his only day off of the week to deliver the vehicle and explain everything about the car to her. Talk about going the extra mile! I highly recommend Brewster Honda to anyone who is in the market for a new Honda! If you go, be sure to ask for Will and Chuck, you'll get a great deal!Roger

I brought my car here for a simple an oil change b/c I had a coupon for $19.99. They told me wait time would be less than one hour. One hour and 20 minutes later, service rep comes to tell me they can't get my car to hold oil b/c oil pan and plug were damaged. He literally tells me I can't leave. His reason being my car can't hold the oil and the only fix is to replace these parts for $468. Not being knowledgable about cars, I dial my husband and put the rep on the phone with him. "Miraculously" within 5 minutes after that phone conversation they come up with an alternative solution (putting in an oversize plug) for $5. Had my husband not pressed the guy, they would not have offered up the $5 solution, which by the way, it turns out is a permanent fix...NOT a temporary solution. To add insult to injury they tell me my break pads are worn down to 1mm and should be replaced. They tell me I have at best 500-1000 miles left and quote me a "special" price of $270 to replace front breaks. I decline...the following morning my husband takes the car to our family friend and trusted mechanic to change the breaks (he has quoted us a lower price). He gets the car up on the lift and says we don't need new breaks now. The pads are only halfway worn down and we can easily wait until our next oil change (roughly another 5,000 miles) before replacing them.I can only say that either the mechanics at Brewster Honda are extremely unqualified to diagnose standard wear and tear or they are crooks...plain and simple, who saw an opportunity to put some fear in me so I would go for the repairs they recommended. Either way, I would never set foot in there again and would absolutely not recommend them to anyone else.

I went to Brewster Honda to purchase a certified used car. My sales person Nancy Gilligan was very nice and helpful. When it came time to negotiate a price she brought over Robert Planbeck who I later found out was the owner. He shook my hand and introduced himself (that was the only time he was cordial). The car I was looking at was going for $16, 200. I was offering him $11,000 plus my 2001 Accord as a trade in (not an unreasonable offer). He says to me "Look at this, this is what I paid for the car and this is what I am selling for" standing over me and pointing at a paper. He was extremely aggressive and I immediately felt like I had to be defensive. I told him we did not have a deal and he said "You're right! You're not getting the car" (he's now yelling). I stood up and explained to Nancy that he was definitely not helping her sales and she shouldn't bring him over to try and close a sale. I have never had such a bad experience in my life....especially not with $11K in my pocket and ready to make a purchase. Brewster Honda will never get my money and it's a shame that he is the owner.

Run, don't walk, away from this dealership! The will "nickle-and-dime" you for every dollar on your trade-in and watch out for the fine print! Their so-called "internet pricing" is not that great. The prices don't include the destination charge and other "fees" so it looks lower but it's about the same as the competition. The service department lost my keys on the day I went to pick up my new car! Then they only wanted to give me one key. They said that's all they could do? REALLY?? Also, they charged a heavy mark-up over the Honda site on options and labor. Insult to Injury, they wrecked my car by the lousy application of the options I selected. I bought my brand new car on one day and they had the nerve to ask me to bring it back THE NEXT DAY FOR REPAIRS!!! I just couldn't make this up if I tried, people! It is just a mess! Brewster Honda, as of December of this year, was purchased by Lia Auto Group. Let's hope Lia cleans up Brewster Honda's act or close it down! TERRIBLE..just TERRIBLE!

My first and last visit to this dealership. The management is not willing to work with the customer on price. They nickel and dimed me on the price of a used car. We got down to within a couple hundred dollars of their price and they wouldn't budge! And we were dealing with a car that had been sitting on their lot for over a month! Their lot was full of inventory. You'd think they'd want to liquidate some of that. My advice to them is that they should try working with the customer and maybe they'll actually sell some of their cars. Greed isn't always the answer. Too bad for them since I won't be returning or recommending them. Instead I'll be posting negative reviews all over this great, big internet.

I received an internet quote from this dealer that was about $1000 higher than any of the other dealers that spoke to. However, due to the high ratings of this dealer I decided to drive an hour and speak to them because they had the color and model of the car that I wanted.I called before I went to the showroom to let them know that I was coming and although the person who I dealt with wasn't reachable on the phone, the operator assured me that he would be there when I arrived.I arrived and he wasn't there, so the manager assigned me to Rose. She was friendly, but in a bit of a fake way, which i don't fault her for, but she did kind of creep me out a bit. She was quite nice and let me test drive the car, and was quite nice to me. She I guess was clearly not an internet deal person, as she gave me the fake astonishment as to the price quote that I got on the car, and claimed that it was much lower than any deal she could have made. (which really concerns me, because it was $1000 higher than all the other quotes I received). I told her that I was purchasing the car for cash, and that I was awaiting the check that was going to pay for the car (which was the TRUTH); and I was concerned that the price of the car that they quoted me, was a couple hundred dollar more than I could afford (THE TRUTH). So I asked if they would cut a couple hundred dollars off the price. She spoke to her "manager" (why was I dealing with her if she could do nothing?) and he wouldn't budge. He came over and told me that it was "only $100 on a purchase of over $16000 is nothing and shouldn't make a difference". EXACTLY!! And it should be less of a big deal to a big rich dealership than to a poor person like me who saves for 10 years to purchase a car!I also asked about other colors, and they were not willing to get me colors other than what they had on the lot.Well I put down a deposit (and made sure that it said that it was refundable) just because I wasn't sure and didn't want to have to drive back if i wanted to purchase the car. And they put me through the sales process... where they tried to sell me accessories which were 3x the price of the MSRP (seriously!!!), and a $2000 service plan... And were not friendly at all. When I told them that I was traveling the next week and wouldn't be able to pick up the car until the next Saturday, they seemed to be skeptical of me and asked me in a kindof nasty way why I couldn't pick it up Friday, and I told them because I was working. And they said, that they weren't sure that i would be able to pick it up Saturday. Basically it seemed to me that they didn't want to sell me a car. I left the dealership feeling cheated, unhappy and deflated. I called after i received the check I was waiting for and did my numbers, and left a message for the manager telling him that it was as expected and that I couldn't afford the car so I wanted a refund on my deposit. He left a message for me that seemed urgent. So I took a few minutes on my business trip to Florida to call him back, and what he wanted from me was to ask me if I purchased the car from another dealership before he processed my refund! I was astonished! I took the time out of my trip for such a rude call? He said that I gave him the impression that I was going to purchase the car from elsewhere. I asked him what gave him that impression (I did put down a deposit with THEM!!!!) And even if I did, what did it have to do with them. They either wanted to sell me a car or they didn't. And to me it seemed as if they didn't want to sell me the car. I was quite offended. I have no idea why they have so many positive reviews. It makes me think that perhaps they write their own reviews. Because I later asked some friends from the area what they thought, and they said that they don't like them at all.

Once we received a price quote on the phone and brought in the required documents for our "clunker" car, we met with our salesman who repeated for us all of the agreed-upon details we'd already discussed. Once the price was confirmed and the procedures for turning in our car were gone over, we took the car for a test drive. When we returned we were told that Honda Brewster had the color and model of the car we were interested in and the salesman asked us to go to his desk and said he would join us there. A different salesman, however, arrived and told us in a very convoluted manner that the original pricing was incorrect and the car was now $1500 more than the price we'd been quoted. Playing the bad guy against our "good" guy salesman, he told us that there was no way they could give us the quoted price since they couldn't "deliver the car to us on Monday". We asked him to summon back our original salesman who upon his return said he'd pleaded our case with "management" to no avail and then proceeded to contradict himself with implausible explanations. There was nothing to do but leave. This experience epitomizes the shady dealings that car salesmen engage in. It'll take a long time for us to even start to think about trusting another car dealership!

I called Brewster honda with the pay out that my insurance company was settling on for my loss and asked if that was a fair amount given the high miles on it.They were very polite and gave me a figure right over the phone. They also asked me if I had a tow package which I did and to make sure that was on the breakdown too. I asked them I was looking for a older model..and I was not interested in a certified used car.. as I wanted to keep my payments down. I called a few days later when I received my check to look around. I cancelled twice due to conflict I was never pressured and when I did finally meet with Steve he ahd a few Honda CRV's ready for me to view.. He spoke to me why certified was better...even though I felt these cars never break down but as he explained they are still machines.and I drive a lot of miles per year due to my job and living area. Within 1/2 hour I picked out a 2004 CRV with low milage with plenty of room in the back for my 15 year old son size 14 shoes to fit in. (we were so crapped in the toyota) I was so thrilled with the payments/the 100,000 mile warrantee bumper to bumper along with Brewster Honda 1 year cerification I left with out really know the price.....when I returned to pick up the car the next day I was greatly surprised with the actual price.. along with the low financing rate as I had concern about my credit. As a single working mother of 2 sons/sports orieneted.....and on the go I needed a car that was dependable and fit all my needs as I don't make this type of purchase frequently. I have to say the buying experience was wonderful. That evening I recieved a call from Brewster Honda asking if I enjoyed my ride home that night?.. I am in sales, I deal with all personalities all day long and understand how important the TRUST FACTOR IS . I truly Believe that if you are looking for a HONDA .. BREWSTER HONDA should be on your list....even if you are not looking for a HONDA their used car inventory is HUGE.. and I am now a believer in CERTIFED used cars....I traveled from New Paltz. I realize this is long .. but with a important high end purchase a educated consumer gives us peace of mind when we finally sign on that dotted line.. and with Brewster Honda I do believe they accomplish that goal.

I just bought my 2007 Civic Si. Brewster Honda had the car in stock and gave me a fair deal. They treated me like a friend and everything went well. I will buy more cars from Brewster Honda in the future.

This is a comment about the service department of Brewster Honda. When I bought the car from them I received a booklet advising the service requirements of the car. Following their advice I did an oil change at 3750 miles. When it was 7500 miles I called them for another oil change and they asked me to get the 7500 mile oil change at $115. I was appalled and checked my manual in detail and I saw that the car has an on-board computer keeping track of the required service. Hence, the first service was done when the oil life was still 60% and the dealers did not have the courtesy of letting me know of that fact. The service seems like a way of making a quick buck for the dealers, but they have no right to perform unnecessary service at the customers expense. Honda should insist that the dealership does not hand out their own service booklet with the car.

I bought a 2007CRV, fully loaded. Sales was excellent, service was ok. Until I got stuck in water one flooded day and I had to get a new engine... Brewster Honda took 2 full weeks to get the car ready for the insurance company. In 5 weeks that they had the car, they called me twice. No news, no updates. Then they let me suffer. So, 5 weeks and $11K later, I got my car back. At first all was fine. Then I popped the hood and saw one of the engine screws loose! I was besides my self! On top of that they had left the same old rusty oil dip-stick in! God knows what else I'll discover tomorrow...I most definatelly recomend against them

I just traded in a 03 crv for a 07 crv with navigation. Was hounded by local dealers only to learn they had nothing in stock. Brewster and Christina were up front and honest. It was a delight to work with this dealership. I waited several weeks for the car and Christina kept me informed about the expected delay. I bought a lot of extras for the car and it is a joy to look at and drive. This is the best and easiest dealership for us to work with and we have bought 4 hondas in 4 years. Highly recommend Brester and Christina Mahoney!
