Brett and Brandon were awesome. Got our new car here. Beat our credit union on the rate. no low inventory price make ups or hidden fees at pick up. Pushed the extra warranty but not as far or aggressively as other experiences. Would recommend. Also it's recently renovated so the coffee machine is awesome and everything is brand spanking new. Bathrooms new also and clean. Would pee here again.

Love LIA HONDA, I have not met a person there wasn't polite and friendly. I had a young salesmen when I went to look at a vehicle there. He did explain he was new to sales but would get an answer ASAP if he didn't know an answer. I thought he was very knowlegeable and I did end up buying what i wanted. The Service Dept. Thats another story.. they are on top of their game and bend over backwards to get you in and out in no time. Very efficient group, I just love them. Great job to you all.

The environment is chaotic right now while they undergo some construction. The tech left my passenger seat dirty to the point it needed spray cleaning. Then, I reviewed my repair invoice and found a mistake before I left. It took an hour to correct though! I am happy they took care of it but may not be giving them my business again. I give them 3 stars because they corrected the mistake eventually, apologized, and the cashiers are very nice!

I brought my car yesterday to Lia Honda for oil change service, but it took 4 hours for them to do the oil change, if I’m not mistaken, the name of the advisor who help me out is west… if I didn’t asked him regarding my car, maybe it took more longer for them to do the oil change. That’s my ridiculous experience with them, because they didn’t even say sorry for what happened…

As President of a credit union who has been in lending for almost 30 years and has dealt with hundreds of auto sales people and heard countless horror stories about bad car buying experiences, I can say without reservation that Rob Dawes is a professional who goes out of his way to be sure his customer has a pleasurable car buying experience. His honesty, knowledge and willingness to listen were a breath of fresh air in what could have been a nerve-racking experience. Instead of tension and game playing negotiating tactics, my wife and I were thrilled to enjoy a smooth no nonsense transaction that resulted in us driving away in a 2014 Honda Hybrid with low miles and a price well under book value. You can bet I'll be informing my credit union members about Rob and Lia Honda (no, I won't accept any referral rewards), and I have already raved to my extended family about our sales person who was both effective and efficient. We'll be back for our next purchase. As a side note, I am not related to Mr. Dawes (or anybody at Lia) nor had I ever met Mr. Dawes before we entered Lia Honda.

This was my first time looking to get a car of my own. Rob Dawes was there to help me throughout the entire process. I was nervous going into this it but I immediately felt comfortable working with him. Rob explained everything as clearly as could be while helping me decide whether financing or leasing would be the best option for me. He was extremely professional but we were also having a good time laughing which really calmed my nerves. I walked out of there after the contract to finance a 2016 Honda Fit and I absolutely LOVE it!

It's been a few years since my wife and I have had to buy a replacement car. We have NEVER had an experience doing so than with Lia Honda, and to be specific with Rob Dawes. To go from walking into the dealership, telling Rob what we needed, watching him work his magic, making a deal and taking the car home in the same afternoon was just a delight. Rob came over as someone with vast knowledge of how to communicate one on one with a customer. It was like he knew me for years and made a package to my specific needs. The service dept. is a total rip off. My window would not go up so I took my car there. They charged me $379 for a $91 part and $367 for 2 hours of labor. Please don't make the same mistake as I did. Will never go there again and will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience!!!!

I recently bought a certified used car from friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie. Literally the worst decision of my life. There were a few things that needed to be addressed, but they fooled me into thinking they would be easy fixes. WRONG, thankfully, LIA Honda of Albany has swooped in and has taken so much stress off of me, by fixing what friendly Honda failed to do. Steve Smith in service is a stand up guy, honest, and just looks out for his customers. After contacting many dealers online in regards to purchasing a 2016 Honda Civic EX, Diane VanWoert from your internet office not only got back to me with the best price but she then followed that up with an even better offer. I came in for a test drive and was introduced to Andrew Porter who walked us through the vehicle. Needless to say I purchased the Civic that day. Thank you too to General Manager Michael Foot for calling me the next day to tell me they had found my fiance's purse that she had left in the Civic after the test drive. A great experience all around. This has been the most hassle free car purchase I have ever been involved in! I would definitely recommend Lia Honda to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car. I purchased a 2014 Honda CRV. Evan was the salesperson and he was very, very nice - he spent a few hours with me showing the car, test driving and arranging so I could take it off the lot that same day. I had to contact Evan a few days later about a minor concern with the car. I emailed the night before and he was in touch with me first thing the next morning. The problem was solved just a few hours later. I also very much liked the business manager Fred. Explained everything in detail and no pressure or pushing in regards to warranties.My average rating for quality of work has nothing to do with the people. Unfortunately, this is the 2nd car I purchased from a Lia dealer (the first being Nissian) that I had to bring back a few days later because the brakes needed work. That's frustrating when you think you won't have to deal with that stuff for awhile because you just purchased the vehicle. I will give credit to the dealerships for fixing the problem right away with no hassle. The service people were as friendly as Evan and Fred. It is just a little concerning that it occurred 2 times in a row at a Lia dealer. However, I have already passed that message to the general manager.

I can't say enough good things about this dealership, but especially about Jay Birnbaum. He was a delight to work with. He was very patient while I tried to decide between HRV and CRV, and he was happy to take me out for test drives until I narrowed it down to the CRV. He then walked the lot with me showing me all the color choices so that I wouldn't have to choose from a photo in a book. He went the extra mile explaining the features of the car to me, and walking me through the paperwork to make my new car a reality. After my last service LIA had said they would be interested in my car. I had no ntention of buying a new car but was in the area so I stopped in. Everyone I dealt with was courteous but Robert Martino was especially helpful, courteous and personable. Because of him and the deal he and LIA offered, I traded in my 2014 for a new 2016. Robert met me at the door the next morning. All paper work was complete and I drove away in less than an hour. Kudos to Robert and LIA. This is the fourth car I have bought from them and will definitely buy from them again.

I was very pleased with the Sales Team at Lia Honda who were able to work out a deal that lowered my interest rate and kept my monthly payments the same when I traded my 2014 Odyssey EX for the 2016 Odyssey SE... Sales Rep Bill Yetto did an excellent job preparing all the paperwork and made sure that the whole transaction went smoothly. When I set out to buy 2016 or 17, white, SUV - and would only settle on the best horse power/ MPG, (my previous two cars were fuel-efficient sports cars), I expected some stiff competition. After online research, I set out to shop several brands. The first 4 sales people tried to sell me whatever color they had on the lot. One sales person even tried to sell me a used, maroon Town & Country, I laughed in her face and left.. By the time I met Brandon Shields at Lia Honda, I wasn't expecting much. I explained to him exactly what I wanted, just as I had at the other dealerships. He asked me to wait a moment, then pulled up in a 2016, fuel efficient, white Pilot. Not only was it everything I wanted, but it had a moonroof and leather also. He was the only sales person that actually listened without trying to push his own agenda. I was sold. A few hours later, I drove home in my new car and have been incredibly happy ever since. If you value your time, and appreciate the fine art of actually listening to a customer, visit Brandon. My visit at Lia Honda was one of the best buying car experience I have ever had in all my years buying a car. I went into lease a car for my daughter for graduating from college. Overall, the staff was extremely welcoming and courtesy. But most importantly Salesman, Robert Dawes made the buying process amazing. He answered every question my wife and I had, and explained everything in detail. He did not rush us but let us decide on our own. He suggested how we could save money on leasing a car. I have had my Altima for 7 years and knew it was time to start looking for something new and was thinking of trading it in. I really liked the look of the Honda Civics and have heard they were very reliable cars so decided to stop by Lia just to look at the cars. Andrew Porter was the salesman who first greeted me and was very helpful giving me information on a few different cars there. I decided to test drive a 2014 civic and fell in love with the car. I expressed my concerns about just starting to look and not wanting to go over a certain price with payments and Andrew made me feel right at ease going over a few different possible options. After discussing it further I decided to go ahead and purchase the car. Within two days Andrew had taken care of everything for me and I was able to trade in my old car and leave with my new civic that evening with no problems at all. It was an overall excellent experience and I was very impressed with how fast and easy it seemed. I would highly recommend the Lia dealership, very happy with my purchase and experience!

We recently purchased a new 2016 Honda Odyssey. We originally contacted Lia Honda because we wanted to start looking at minivans as our next vehicle. We also contact a 2nd Honda dealership and 3 Toyota dealerships. We met with Rob Dawes on our first visit and it was a wonderful experience. Rob listened to our family's needs such as seats, technology, accessories and hobbies. He was extremely knowledgeable (which is rare in Sales Consultants), patient with us and very kind (which we have learned is also rare in Sales Consultants). Rob also felt confident in his vehicles and his knowledge that he gave us our space after we left the dealership and did not bother us with phone calls or e-mails. We had gone to another dealership and asked them to give us 7 days after we left and then we would be in touch. That other dealership called us every day (including that SAME day when we left!) and on the 7th day the Sales Consultant was nasty. We didn't even ask Rob for this 7 day courtesy because he was nice to us. But he gave us the courtesy anyways. We ended up buying the minivan much, much quicker than expected because of the good price, the comfort we had with the vehicle thanks to Rob's knowledge and the overall experience with Rob and Lia Honda. We have two small children and we wanted to limit the amount of time we spent in the dealership. Rob and his team made this process quick for us once we decided which minivan we wanted. When we came in to Lia Honda to sign our paperwork and pick up the vehicle, the paperwork was complete and in a neat pile and Rob understood all of it very well. He flew through the paperwork and then walked me through the vehicle and the technology with ease and patience, there was no wasted time. There was no pressure at any time from Rob or any other Lia Honda employees (including the finance guy). Although we didn't talk to too many people there most of the employees appeared very nice in passing. We have purchased a few vehicles and a camper over the last 8 years and this was the most pleasant buying experience we had. We actually walked away happy about this big purchase instead of wondering if we made the right decision.

Andrew Porter is the reason we drove home in a Honda Accord rather than a Toyota Camry. My wife and my original plan was to stop by Lia and then head up to Northwest Toyota. However, Andrew's professionalism and expertise allowed us to forgo the second visit and go Honda. Andrew was patient, aware and skillful at dealing with our driving need, financial concerns and the complexities of getting our car registered, insured and on the road. We never felt pressured, nor we feel talked down to by this polite, friendly thoughtful young man. I would go back to Andrew Porter for my future car purchase and I will recommend him to my friends.

I went in to test drive a Honda and Robert showed me a few types and didn't even push me to buy. I ended up purchasing the 3rd car. He got m the car I wanted and a good price and payment was where I said I wanted to be at. They actually listen to the customer there. Not like other places that put you in any car with high payments. Just made a customer for life.

Gave me the most off MSRP and most money for my trade without hard-ball haggling. Was given a price initially and shopped around for a week. Came back to Lia Honda and was offered the same deal and even gave me a little more for my trade. I was not badgered by phone calls and emails in the interim. Would recommend them to anyone and will go back next time I am in the market for another vehicle.

Lia quickly corrected a nagging issue with a tire which kept losing air. They discovered it was a leaking valve stem, fixed it at no cost to me, and had me out the door in less than an hour.

My lease was about to expire on my 2013 Civic. Went for info only about my options. Rob Dawes answered all my questions and presented several options. At no point did he pressure me to make any decision. I did return and leased the 2016 Civic. Rob reviewed all features and set up my Bluetooth. I returned a few days later because I couldn't find the steering wheel release and needed help resetting the display screen. Rob again was attentive; took care of me immediately. Rob is very personable, patient and thorough. No pressure sales tactics in any of my interactions with Rob. The dealership is modern and comfortable. Great customer waiting area, free coffee/tea and snacks.

I went in for a walk in due lack of time but i was well received and promptly attended to. The service manager gave a patient listening to all my queries and requests and followed up on each one of them. After the service which took just 45 mins for a complete service including tire rotation and balancing, he explained all the different points about my queries and showed me how things are! Really impressed with the courtesy and the efficiency. Will definitely recommend it for all Honda Owners in Capital District region.

Very disappointed. The contract ended up well above placing me in an upside down loan; they were not adequate with my trade in which although not the highest value definitely nowhere even near the KBB trade in value to a dealership. Upon arriving back home in Vestal, I noticed scratches around the vehicle (which ordinarily would not be a problem) which are now immortalized in Simonize Glasscoat. They told me they were working to fix the scratches on the wheel covers which did not come true. I was pushed by the salesman, and I have a father who is ill and I have to help him. I was short for time or I would have stayed and made things more bitter. The Crosstour albeit difficult to find was well overpriced at the dealer and though that part was my fault (I allowed the sales guy to push) I would sooner wish to place a porcupine next to my genitals than to deal with these clowns again.

I wrote about buying a car on 02/12/16. The deal went horribly. I left thinking I had features in the car I didn't have. I ended up in the hospital over the weekend due to Cancer n the stress of that day. I returned to the dealership on Monday. I met with Thomas Burns and another person. They sat down with us n we talked about everything. Mr. Thomas Burns upgraded the car. He gave me every feature I originally thought I bought. He walked me through every step n taught me how to use the features. I left so Happy. I feel they're still Good ppl on this earth. The car is a Valentine's gift. My soon to be husband has been watching my health decline n wanted to see me In a good car with all the features that make life easier n Happy for me. I now navigate anywhere I need to go. I use the mirrors that show me the blind spots. I don't even want to rush home. I sit in the car n listen to music from my IPhone. I never thought they were going to do this n not charge me a Penny. Everyday I feel worst and a lot of Pain but when I'm in this car singing from Spanish Love songs to Rap, forget my pain n worries. Since my Parents are from Puerto Rico n I grew up in an African American Community n I spent most my life in NYC. Now I've been up here some twenty years. After I told him I grew up in the Projects in Brooklyn, New York. Then when he plugged in my phone and country music was ok my phone ( Don't Laugh At Me) he looked at me n asked," you listen to Country Music???". I laughed n said oh Yeah. From the Projects in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn to Country Music. I still see the look on his face. You see I've had a rough life n not too many kind ppl along my way. I'm so Happy. I feel someone cared and money was not the objective here. I will definitely recommend shopping here. Thank You, Mr. Thomas Burns. He told me I should just have is one worry and that's fFighting Breast Cancer n scarscoidosis. I'm taking his advice. I'm not worrying about anything. Yesterday after I left Happy in my new car, I got home to the news that a childhood friend just lost his battle with cancer. I may not win my fight n that's o.k. My overall experience at Lia Honda was wonderful. I was getting out of a lease and they were able to work with me and agree on a new lease payment that was reasonable even though I still had months left on my lease. Evan Yedynak was my sales person and he did a great job of negotiating the price, ultimately getting the payment where I needed it to be. He was also able to get me into the car I wanted instead of settling for something I didn't really want just to keep the payments low. Regarding service, I unfortunately had to utilize Lia's service department the morning after I picked my new car up thanks to a monster pothole on I90 that blew my brand new tire and wrecked the wheel as well. Lia's service, specifically Stephen Smith, was able to get me right in, with no appointment, and take care of the tire. I am happy with my experience at Lia and look forward to working with them again in the future!

When we first arrived on the lot and asked to see the Odyssey trim levels we were looking for, the salesperson did not know the difference between the trim levels, and - when showing us one of the vans - clearly did not know the features. We thought this was a poor first impression, but came back the next day to negotiate pricing. The new salesperson was extremely pushy, did not listen to me, and I had to "stop" him several times from completing the sale, when I made it clear up front that I was not ready to commit just yet. Although other Honda dealerships expected a lot less, he required me to leave a $7000 deposit (refundable) just to hold the van that we were considering.We wound up purchasing our new Odyssey from another dealership, and things got even worse when I came back to Lia. One of the managers angrily scolded me for not buying the car when I politely asked for my refund, and told me to wait. A credit card transaction that should've taken 5 minutes took over an hour, and only because I followed up with the staff a few times to ask what was taking so long. At one point, the manager sneered at me and commented, "Since you took so much of our time, you're just going to have to wait." At that point I spoke up and told him that not only was the customer service horrible, I specifically told the salesperson NOT to prep this van or go forward with the sale. He didn't listen to me, and now I was being reprimanded for his poor salesmanship. Even after this, it still took another 20 minutes to finish my credit card refund.I would not send anyone that I care about to Lia Honda, and would strongly suggest other local Honda dealerships instead.

January 2015 My 2008 civic s battery would drain after sitting a few days. Took it to LIA They said fuse box was the problem. $800 All seemed good until car sat for a few days again. Dead battery again. Back to lia. Service manager tells me 2 tecs spent 5 hours going over car. Remote starter is bad. Cost $100 Total cast now $900 December 2015 car is overheating /leaking antifreeze lia diagnoses it and tells me it needs a new radiator and it has a cracked block. $800 for the radiator but the block is free. 1 day later car is done. Ipick car up and temperature gauge is on 8 bars. I call lia and am told service manager will call me back when hes back from lunch. He never called me back. I look under hood and the cooling fans are not turning on. Funny they worked before. Never again will i take my car to them.

I was advised that I could purchase a special package for the new Civic and that my wife and I could then swap cars. I sent a detailed two-page letter to Lia two weeks ago to express my frustration. I have not yet even received a form letter in which Lia personnel pretend to care. As a result of dealing with Lia, I now have a car that does not meet my core needs or expectations for a new vehicle. Suffice to say that my experience with Lia was profoundly disappointing.

I visited Lia after a phone call regarding an early turn in on an existing lease and getting a new lease on a 2016 Accord for the same monthly payment. Evan Yedynak was introduced as the salesman handling the transaction. Evan was very professional. He was courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. The car was ready 2 days later (Evan had to get the color I wanted) as promised. I went back and picked the car up and Evan had me in and out in about 30 minutes. I was very pleased with the way everything was handled

One of the snow tires on my Honda Accord had a slow leak. Richard Petri handled my service quickly and efficiently, explaining that my tire had picked up a nail and that the patch placed inside the tire should last as long as the tire itself. I was in and out in 45 minutes, about half the time originally quoted when I called ahead.

I had looked at the Honda HR-V at a couple of other dealers and was aware that they are in short supply with most dealers having few if any in stock. My salesperson, Shelby Krisanda, was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and and professional. Lia did not have the color I wanted so put a down payment on a HR-V that was in shipment. The car arrived with 2 weeks and Shelby kept me informed on the progress until it arrived. I have never had vehicle repairs done at Lia before, so I'm not able to rate them in that category at this point.

Went car shopping for a good used car, and found what I was looking for at Lia Honda. Andrew Porter was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed when I was test driving the car. Then I left to continue my evaluation of other cars, and that was fine with no hard sell. I came back a couple of days later convinced that they had the best car for me, and we came to agreement on price very quickly. Throughout the process Andrew was very easy to work with. Could have had the car that day but it was more convenient to pick it up a couple of days later. The car buying experience was easy and I was very satisfied with both the car my dealings with Andrew.

Brought my HONDA CRV that was acting up to Lia. They recommended a $1300 timing chain and tensioner replacement. After that, the car was still not running right. After bringing the car back to them four times over 6 months and them having no idea what was wrong, I asked if they could do an oil compression test. They performed the test and their conclusion was that they recommended "replacing the engine" which would cost $3000 - $4000. They extended no consolation with the timing chain which was replaced 6 months earlier. The customer service is friendly, but it is my belief that their service mechanics do not know what they are doing.

Brought a 2004 Honda CR-V in for front brakes. Wes called to notify me of additional recommended work. After about 10 minutes discussing the additional work with Wes fully explaining the reason for each recommendation and the necessary timing for the additional work, I authorized his recommendations. I am happy Wes took the time to explain each issue at length to help me understand what the issue was and the consequences of not completing the repair timely.My vehicle was ready when promised. Went in to talk about the quote I received three weeks prior from Lia Honda internet sales. We asked for the internet person who we were introduced to but she referred us to a salesman. We gave the salesman our e-mail indicating the internet price we wre quoted. He said he had to talk with someone so left us sitting and went across the hall and sat in a room with another gentleman. He was not showing the other person our papers, but just sat there. Five minutes later came back and said the price quoted was last month's price and quoted us another price. We questioned him again about the price and he said he needed to talk with someone and would come back. He sat in the same room across the hall for another five minutes then came back and said he couldn't find his manager. We pushed back again and then he left and came back with a gentleman who was some sort of manager. Manager said the internet price was wrong, internet person was new and shouldn't have offered us that price and offered us another higher price. He tried some small talk in between, tried to fast talk us about interest rates, other dealers prices, etc. Then he offered us something higher than an internet price. We said OK, we were shopping around that day. We said if we didn'f find a better price we would come back. He said then the price would go up. We confirmed with him that if we came back during the week and were interested in buying that the price would not be the same? He said no and quoted us a price that was even higher than his last quote. We walked out.

After going to FOUR dealerships, I found a HOME with Lia Honda. What was the difference? Simply put, the deciding factor was the Lia reputation. That reputation for being courteous, informed and interested in the customer's automotive concerns demonstrated itself in many ways. It began with the upbeat manner in which the Sales Consultant EVAN YEDYNAK welcomed me to his dealership. The patient and understanding manner in which he fielded my many questions - as I test drove the vehicle (Honda Civic LX) in both city and highway traffic - reinforced and enhanced Lia Honda's reputation for me. Two weeks ago I purchased a new Honda Accord at Lia Honda. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. For starters the dealership is very welcoming. My salesman Andrew Porter, who initially greeted me was outstanding throughout. He was personable, knowledgeable, professional and steered me through the entire process in an efficient, as well as enjoyable manner. He was and is available to me to answer any questions that come up. I believe I received both a fair deal and the great car I was hoping for. I went to dealership to take a test drive on a Honda CRV after I had spoken to the online rep Carl and set up an appointment.I was greeted at the sign in desk and a salesperson was assigned to help me..Jay Birnbaum was very helpful and provided a test drive and answered all my questions.When we got to the negotiation phase sales manager Dominic stepped in and presented a deal for the CRV explaining what he could do and time was of the essence.I was treated with respect by both of these gentlemen and I decided it was a good deal for me.Jay picked me up at my home at 1:45 and brought back to the dealership to finish up my paperwork..After the paper work THINGS WENT DOWNHILL-THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED BE READY TO TAKE HOME IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF PREP TIME.-BY 4;45 I WAS VERY UNHAPPY THAT IT WAS JUST FINISHED AND I HAD WASTED HOURS WAITING.WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AFTER BUYING A NEW VEHICLE TURNED INTO AN ANNOYING AFTERNOON

I had a great experience with manager, George M. & salesman, John B. At Lia Honda. They were a pleasure to work with. I told them what I wanted and they were able to meet my needs! Walking into the dealership I initially thought I would come out with a used crv but instead I walked out with a brand new 2015 crv- they both assisted in making sure the vehicle met my needs/wants and were able to meet the monthly budget I was working with. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend anyone to see George & John at Lia Honda in Albany!

this afternoon, there was a bad thunderstorm around 4:00pm, we wanted to go to the dealer, because they advertised that they were having summer clearance for today, we finally got there 10 mins to 6. I was hoping to ask a sale's man the price on 2015 CRV, LX AWD, and maybe take a quick look, at least to have my husband sit in, as he is 6'8" tall and just make sure he is fit, We clearly indicated that we were interested in buying a car, but they just said they were ready to close, and no one would wanted to talk us, and told us to come back on Sunday, even though indicated that we were leaving on a trip on sunday. finally we didn't see a car and didn't talk to anybody, for good i would never go back to this dealer again, though we purchased our 2013 CRv there 2 years ago... I felt they treated customer so poorly, wouldn't even spare a few minutes extra for a potential customer, and didn't care the customer's need. rude, inconsiderate....

Having a not so perfect credit score because of a failed business, my husband and I were fairly confident we could qualify for a nice, used Honda. We had a substantial down payment and the choices Jalal Barat were plentiful. He was not pushy. Listening intently to what we wanted in a vehicle, he patiently showed us cars and compared the features with confidence and knowledge. Lia Hondas' staff were polite, informative, and likeable. We got our 2012 Honda CR-V the following day and Jalal went over every feature in detail with us. Having all the paperwork in order too! We couldn't be happier with our purchase! I brought my car in very late for emergency service, the local car rental dealers were closed. The service manager offered to ride me home and the service representative, Casey Rosevear went even further and drove me to the airport so I could rent a car. Exceptional service and an amazing service crew. When I picked up my vehicle the next day I bought a new car, my 4th vehicle from Lia Honda. Took car in for the "Dog Days Service Package" $59.99 for Oil and filter change - Fluid top-off - Complete alignment check - Tire rotation and brake inspection - Full multi-point inspection. They found I needed brakes and rotors also (which I kinda figured since I heard grinding). Completed work and returned due to noise in back end. Mechanic took ride with me and then checked brakes again and found caliper worked intermittently when tested. Changed caliper and changed rotor again since it was overly hot from bad caliper. Service department got me right in, treated me well, got me rental car under my warranty repair and completed repairs quickly! Very friendly and courteous service people and gave me good price. The title of the review basically says it all. Took less than a week to get everything taken care of, which included having the paperwork sent to South Carolina and back. They followed up with me to let me know as soon as everything was ready and if there was anything that I needed to take care of. I don't see myself buying a new car anytime soon, but I would go back if I was.

I've been to this dealership before for minor fixes on my old car. I went recently to get maintenance repairs only to find out I needed a lot of work done. It wouldn't have been worth paying a ton of money for the repairs. So I traded in my old car and now am leasing a 2015 CR-V. Wayne Balthazard was the sales rep that helped me. He took his time explaining the leasing agreement to me as I have always owned my vehicles. I really appreciated his help and the business managers help. Jalal Barat made my latest Lia Honda sales experience the best yet; he is a very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient salesperson. As an existing lessee of a 2013 Civic, he was able to secure an upgrade to the 2015 Civic at no out-of-pocket cost to me or additional monthly payment increase, aside from the required NYS DMV fees. This was, of course, following my wife and I credit-qualifying for the upgrade. I look forward to the next time I work with Mr. Barat to upgrade my vehicle; he has the nous to explain the technical aspects of leasing a vehicle in terms a layperson can easily grasp. I left the sales floor feeling secure that I had made the right choice to continue leasing through Lia Honda, given my specific mileage needs and vehicle wants. Stephen Smith has assisted a number of times with coordinating routine service of my Accord. I enjoy talking with Stephen, not only because of his knowledge of the vehicle, but also his obvious commitment to customer service. An example of this service was demonstrated by Stephen when a problem developed with my new 2013 Accord. As outdoor temperatures dropped, I noticed a loud buzzing noise from the engine compartment, which was of concern. I contacted Stephen, who helped schedule service in the morning, when temperatures were expected to be colder. Stephen and a mechanic test drove the car until the noise was identified. The problem was minor and repairs completed quickly. Stephen kept me informed throughout the process and thoroughly explained the cause of the problem and method of repair. Thank you Mr. Smith.

I wouild tread cautiously when dealing with this company. I received a letter today with what appeared to be a handwritten Chicago return address. Curious I opened it only to find that it was a direct mail solicitation from the General Manager of Lia Honda, Michael Foote. I could never do business with an entity in which senior management would tolerate let alone participate in a trick to get their message out Car dealers already have a bad reputation for honesty in general. It's a pity that Lia's marketing strategy reenforces this reputation. . There are less deceptive dealerships in the immediate Albany area to deal with.

We worked with Rob Dawes in helping my wife find a replacement for her current vehicle. This occurred over a two month period. Rob was helpful all the way - providing assistance where needed, but mostly letting us find the vehicle we wanted without a lot of high pressure. There were some items discovered right before the sale which concerned us (battery, breaks), but when brought to Rob's attention, he immediately addressed the issues and he and Lia Honda took immediate action to correct the problems. Rob even was helpful in getting us a third key, an item which was ultimately provided without cost to us. All-in-all, our experience with Rob and Lia Honda was very positive. We would highly recommend Rob and Lia Honda to prospective buyers not looking for a fast-paced, high pressure sales job.

I bought my car here, new and had such a good experience that I go here every time I need something done to it. The service center is beyond fabulous. No matter who "gets" or is in charge of the car when I drop it off for an appointment I'm amazed at how nice they are. Car issues had always made me nervous in the past. They have a way of speaking to you that isn't pushy or drastic and no matter what it is it'll all be fine. This past time I went in for a front headlight that was out. It was the coldest day of the year, I had night dropped my car off and in the morning the battery was dead. They had to jump it to get it in the garage. Walter Cook called me to let me know they jumped it, had hooked it up to a tester and suggested that I get a new one but it was totally up to me. Of course I said go ahead and didn't even need him to explain that I might be fine but....and the new battery had an eight year warranty, etc. I just said go ahead because I completely trust this service center. They have never steered me wrong and I know my car is in great hands when they have it. They have always answered any questions I had multiple times if needed and the answers make sense to a non-car person and always in a calm voice. The hours are great, the staff is friendly, when I have waited for something quick on it I have enjoyed the comfortable waiting room and I'd never go anywhere else!

Joseph is great. We have had several interactions with him over the past couple of years. He is friendly and attentive and customer-driven.I wish I could say the same about our post-delivery follow up which has been, in a word, non-existent.We took delivery of our C-RV on October 27, 2014 and we assured that we would get a follow-up call to be sure we were satisfied and to answer any questions we had. We never heard one word from either the salesman or the Sales Office.When I called to arrange the 1000 complimentary inspection (online) (in November), I made specific reference to the lack of follow-up. Service Manager Sean O'Keefe was right on top of scheduling the inspection but I never heard anything from anyone else. I am still waiting.

We purchased 2 Hondas in 2013 (a 2010 and a 2005) for our daughter & son-in-law, and for our granddaughter. We also purchased 2 extended warranties. At first we were not going to because of the price, so we were offered them for a lower price and are glad we did. Both cars have been serviced a few times and those warranties covered most of the repair costs! Steve (forgot his last name and Walter Cook are SUPERB. I read some of the negative reviews (on YELP) AND we have NEVER been mistreated at Lia. EVERYONE has been nice, cordial AND helpful... even going above and beyond the normal customer/business interactions. On our most recent visit, Walter Cook took in our car at the last minute. We had had to cancel TWO earlier appointments that same day because we were running late at other appointments (doctors are NEVER on time) and they very graciously let us change the time TWICE and we were never met with any attitude. Walter listened to the problem ( a battery purchased less than a year ago kept needing to be jump started). On a learner's permit, our granddaughter drives the car very little and often not enough to keep the battery charged... letting it sit for weeks at a time. He could have dismissed us with advice to drive the car more... but instead he took the car back and check the whole system from alternator to battery cables etc to make sure nothing else was involved. THEN just to make sure it wasn't a faulty battery, changed the battery with a new one. If this company was as "shady" as some of the respondents claim" they could have charged me for all kinds of things... but they did not. Walter explained how we should try to keep the new battery fully charged by doing some longer distance driving a few times a week, even if our granddaughter wasn't using the car often AND as the battery was under warranty... our service charge was ZERO !!! If you need good, competent, quick AND accommodating service... I would recommend Lia Honda on Central Avenue in Albany... any day. For excellent care... ask for Steve or Walter !

This place really cares about you and your wants and needs from buying a vehicle. I came in on December to purchase a accord they had on their online store. Most times you see a deal like that online you are taken back by it I called Lia Honda about the vehical I saw on their page that day I told them that I was interested they pull the car off the lot and the next day I was mine . I had one issue with all the banks they were not pushing for my full loan amount so what did lia do they gave me the difference of the 1,500 on my trade in on top of what they already offered me . I was blown away never will I shop at any other dealer like I said they really do care about what they do and Andrew Porter was by far one of the best salesmen I have dealt with he made if fell as if I wasn't suck at a boring dealer ship just waiting. Thank you guys again I love my new accord !

I think this was the worst. you should never come here.I purchaced a new car from Lia with horrible and horrible experience. especially, the sale manager, Rich Docarell, He is horrible and rude on me when He talked to me. I've never experice with any sale person like him in USA. If I have choice, I will put negative 5 stars on him. Lia sale person, Chelsea(3 stars) and me reach a deal on Satureday for a new 2014 honda civic and 1 year free oil change service. and I was promised to get my car on Tuesday. then I went to Lia to get paper work done(Angel helped me, He is 4.5 stars service), and I added one remote start by paying extra(339$+tax) and also was told it came with 3 year warranty as the new car.I called Angel on Tuesday if I can get a car. He told me I can not get it until wednesday. I told him I don't have transportation on Wednesday, Angel said somebody can pick me up at my home. on Wednesday, I got a call from Angel and was told remote starter can not be installed until Friday, and he give me two options: A-pick up the car on Wednesday and come back on Friday to install the starter. B-pick up the car on Friday after starter is installed. I took option A.on Friday, I came to Lia, service person told me told me totally different story of the remote starter. He told me Lia honda will not resonsible for 3 years warranty, and the remote starter is not from Honda, they will dive my car to somewhere else to install a cheaper starter. I feel I was cheated about the starter, then I told Angel, there are two options, A-install honda starter on my car at Lia, B- refound my money of starter. and I asked I want to see the manager. a few mins later, the sale manager came to me, his name is Rich Dockrell. He did not even want to listen and talk to me. He was emotional and very rude on me, kept saying that the price of car Lia sale to me is very low, everyone at Lia is not happy, He tried to make me feel he did a big favor on me, I should feel guilty if I asked them to install a honda starter. He said he will take back the car to terminate the deal( I have already paid the car). Come on, We reached the deal, Lia made the promise. nothing to do with the price. If Lia think the price is too low, why they just tell me they can not sell the car at that price at the begining. Lia is just one of dealers who give me that price. I am very frustrated, very very upset how the manager(Rich Dockrell) treated the customers.

What I especially liked was the ability to test drive the car by myself without a Lia employee with me. The "trust factor" was an assist to me in deciding to choose the vehicle I purchased. I purchased my Honda Civic in December 2013 from Lia Honda and I have been so pleased with my car and my experience. The buying process was made so easy and efficiently by the very nice salesman (Nathan Eden) who helped me. He made the process much less stressful by being informative, helpful and not the least bit pushy. It was a big relief to feel I was in good hands with such a large purchase and was able to get all the things I was looking for. Everyone that helped me that day was friendly and moved the process along quickly. I recently went back to get my first oil change and again was very happy. In our quest for the best deal for a new Honda CRV, we reviewed internet sites and visited another Honda Dealership, with whom we had previous experience with. A friend recommended we visit Lia to compare deals being offered. On a Sunday, Mr. Dawes was directed to work with us on this shopping experience. We found Mr. Dawson be knowledgable and took time to explain the many features of the 2014 CRV. in addition I found Mr. Dawes sales technique as un-pressured yet always looking to close the deal. The best part of his sales technique was my husband and I felt, right or wrong, he was trying to do the RIGHT THING for us. The salesman was good when I stopped and picked out the car. Thought I got a good value for my trade in also. The car I purchased is terrific. Only problem was when I picked the car up. I showed up early and asked if I needed to come back or not since I could run errands and grab lunch. Salesman said no that he could take me in right then. It took a little over 3 hours before I got the car and left the dealership. Way to long. Salesman did not have anything ready ahead of time. For example, finally got done with all the paperwork and was ready to leave when the salesman informs me that he needs to take the key into the shop to have a duplicate made. It took 30 to 45 minutes to get the extra key made. The extra key should have been made up long before I stopped to pick up the car. In the end, never did have time to run my errands or get lunch. In addition roof of building was leaking in the show room although it did provide a few minutes of a diversion during the long wait. Rating would have been a 4 or 5 if picking up the car went smoothly. This is the third car I have purchased here. The prices have been good and what I have received for trade in has been good. The previous two experiences in picking up my cars were great. Just don't know what happened this time.

Absolutely Great Service Department.They fit me in for a emergency tire change on my 2005 Odyssey Touring with PAX Tires. The Touring model does not come with a spare tire or jack, etc.. There is no way to drive the van for an extended distance without changing the tire at the dealer who has the specific PAX tires and PAX machine.They did not have the tires in stock at the time when I called but did have a working PAX machine unlike 2 other Honda dealers in the area with 2 broken PAX machines.I called at 7:45 got a 8:45 service appointment.Picked up the tire at another Honda dealer and brought it to Lia.Service writer did his thing and told me it would be about 2 hours wait time. I did not mind and could work from my ipad in the mean time while I waited.30 min later the service writer came out to get me and said the only PAX technician they have on hand is swamped with work and will not get to my van until 1pm and they will extend a courtesy car free of charge and I can come pick up my van after 3pm.Can you believe that?... A free courtesy car for a customer they never serviced before and they are only making $55 off of me in labor to change the PAX tire... That is how customer service is done... We will be back at Lia to have other service done on the van...

He was willing to sit down with me and work at getting us the best deal that he could give. I was extremely satisfied with the service that I received. SLOPPY MAINTENANCE TECH...NO PRIDE IN HIS WORK....After purchasing 4 new tires for my Honda fit from LIA Albany...spending $440 ...delivered back to me with 4 dirty wheels full of grease and finger prints. The car was taken in Clean /Washed....After sending an email after service no response from LIA....A very unprofessional work attitude. They talk so sweet to you but could care less once the money is taken from customer. Oh, by the way , I also purchased the honda fit from LIA...this is what they think of their own returning customers...

I had a wonderful experience at Lia, and Wayne was the best!One of the other Honda dealerships in the area had given me quite a run-around, so I came into this experience skeptical and at least a little angry, to be honest. I was ready to be disappointed, but within minutes, I knew that this was going to be a MUCH better experience.We pulled in, Wayne came right out, we chatted for a few minutes about what I was looking for (a Fit), then he sent us on a test drive - yes, *sent* us. He handed us the keys to a Fit with 4 miles on it, and told us to have fun.We drove it, loved it, and came back to talk numbers. I had a quote from the other dealership, and Wayne matched it, no questions asked (even though it was in my handwriting on a post-it note). We ended up getting our new Fit for less than invoice, and it took less than 45 minutes total to sit down, run numbers, and buy the car.We had to wait a day to pick it up - I was sad, but it was nice to pick it up all squeaky clean :) There was a bit of a hard-sell on the warranty, but no one really batted an eye when we said no thanks.This was, honestly, the best and most enjoyable time I've ever had at a car dealership. Wayne (the salesman) was laid back, and not at all pushy. I left with the car I wanted for the price I wanted - no complaints from me!

Brought my car. The desk attendant was polite and nice and not phony. He listed what I wanted done. Didn't mind me asking questions. Printed out a detail of oil filter change, tire rotation and inspection. He came and got when the work was done and I left. For the work requested it was a reasonable wait time. I felt confident and would refer to others.

I stopped in at Lia Honda this morning to take a close-up look at the Honda Fit, not really planning to make the purchase today. A couple of the salesmen asked if they could help me, but when I said, "I'm just looking around, thanks," they let me roam around and look to my heart's content. After I had been there a few minutes, Jeff approached me and asked if he could answer any questions. Long story short -- Jeff was so pleasant, helpful and low-key that I ended up making a purchase! I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the purchase was completed very quickly, including all necessary paperwork for the DMV and my insurance company. I recommend them highly!

I walked in first bunch of people standing around . I had to walk up to somebody to get service no introduction no welcoming awful customer service either they didn't take me serious because I'm a chic or the guy was new and didn't know what he was doing . I waited I sat at a table he came back a couple of times instead of getting all of my info at once he left me sitting there to long and it seemed he was hiding something from me he obviouslyI wasn't trying to get me a deal or make a deal upset with the service went to keeler honda way more professional unreal.

We wanted to look for Honda With V6 engine and would like to had the test drive and the reception told us that all the salesmen were busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes but after being waiting for 40 minutes no salesman willing to meet us. We know that Honda will sell by itself but this dealership has Very poor customer service. Never want to recommend this place to somebody else.

Lia Honda of Albany is one of the worst dealers in the capital area. I went there to lease a 2013 Honda Accord EXL. As I walked into the dealership the salesperson asked me what is the payment I was looking for. I told him can we at least test drive the car first before we talk about the payment. After the test drive first thing, he wanted me to fill out a credit application. I told him, I qualify for tier 1 credit. I already have a car financed under tier 1 program. Can we talk about numbers and agree on something before I fill out an application.Finally we talk about numbers and as he was leaving to get numbers from his boss, I asked him to come back with details numbers (sale price, residual value, money factor) not just lease monthly payments. He comes back with very high lease payments $460 a month for 2013 Honda Accord no other numbers. I asked him for details how he arrived at this number, he tells me this is it take it or leave it. They were trying to play their payment game, where they pad the payments and never talk about the sale price residual value and money factor. And I wasnt not going to make a deal without knowing what I was getting into. I walked out of the dealership without any words. I will take my business somewhere else. There are plenty of Honda dealers in the area. Lia Honda may seem like nice dealership but they do not want to deal with people who are smart about their money. They love dealing with people are not educated about numbers/finance. I understand they are in business to make money but this does not mean they can rip off people.

I received a phone call encouraging me to come in for an oil change. When I explained that my finances were very limited right now and that my car was not far beyond the oil change/mileage date, I was told that they would reduce the cost by an extra $10.00. So, I made an appointment for the following day and when I arrived, they declined the extra $10.00 off that the dealership had committed to me over the phone the day before. This was a huge waste of my valuable time and an embarassment to have to open up about the personal hardship I am experiencing in this difficult economy. Adding insult to injury, I noticed that when I politely left without the service, the employee and manager I dealt with were talking and smiling, most likely about my case.

I purchased my Honda Accord at Lia Honda and had the best customer service, it was an on-line purchase and when I went in I was treated like royalty. I take my car for service there five years later and continue to get the finest customer service. They are quick, they explain everything and don't fix what doesn't need fixing, they are honest to a fault. I recently moved out of NY state but continue to come back to Lia for servicing my vehicle, they are by far the best.

Lia Honda provided an easy and pleasurable sales experience. No nonsense, I didn't feel like I was on the wrong end of a bad dream or sales negotiation. They were upfront and willing to negotiate. My service experiences have been just as easy and thorough. Even when I was late for an appointment; they were gracious and fit me right in without a hassle. I Bought a Certified Used Honda Pilot. I had a good experience with Lia Honda, they worked with me and I feel that I got a god deal. I haven't had to do any repairs on my car, so I cant attest to the service department, but the sales department was very nice to work with.

I am always pleased with the service department at Lia Honda. It's always quicker than expected, which is not something I could say for a lot of places. I would definitely recommend them. I had a battery issue with my CR-Z and they identified the problem immediately and I was out the door in less than half an hour. No problems since, but I have taken my car in for oil changes and such, and it's been a good experience each time.

Lia Honda contacted me after an oil change I had done on my 2010 Honda Accord, stating I was over the lease mileage and would I be interested in making a deal. In 2 meetings at the dealership and phone conversations, I told them I wanted them to pick up the remaining mileage and payments. Finally they agreed and wanted a 1000.00 dollars down to make a deal. My mistake was not checking the paperwork as Honda Finance hit me up for the overage miles. I went to Lia and asked them to at least split the difference, since it was never in the paperwork and they said no. Told me they never pay for any miles over the lease agreement. They are lying, 3rd car I have turned on to them and I never had to pay any over miles fee. My bad, but I thought they would step up in good faith. Done with this dealer and would not recommend to anyone in the Capital Region!!!

I have heard Lia is a dealership that doesn't care so I have avoided it int he past. But this time they were the only local Honda dealership that was willing to honor online pricing. So I bought an Accord from Eric Godbolt and I thought he was great even though I didn't want the paint coating he wanted me to buy. In any case we got a great price and Eric's followup was first class. Their service has been better than most too. We had one recall and went for an oil change/tire rotate etc and they were fast and reasonable. So far I have one of my best car buying experiences ever at Lia Honda in Albany (Central Ave.)

Lia is always great to deal with. They are quick and efficient. They always listen to what I want and respectfully explain what may be needed. I never feel pressured there. If it takes longer because of additional work, they have a loaner vehicle or a shuttle to bring me anywhere. The service drive is always clean and there is always someone waiting to help me. I feel safe going there.

This dealership ran a special "Lease a Honda Accord for $69/month". When I got there, the salesperson said he had no idea where that number was coming from. With $4,000 down on a demo, the lease would have been $129/mo. I told him I needed to think about it, he said okay, and I called a couple hours later to say I'd take it. Joe, Shannon, and the manager were extremely rude and told me I should have made the deal while I was there and they would no longer do it. I had been there before looking to purchase a used Civic for 12-15k and the salesman told me that wasn't realistic and was very condescending. I would not recommend these flakes to anyone!!

my husband and i went to lia for a new honda crv. my husband told the salesman just what we wanted. john said this will be quick and easy. within a minute he came back and we got a better deal than what we asked for. it took about 45 minutes from the time we walked in there until we left. all paper work, done. when i went back the next day the car was clean, ready and waiting. the financial person was very pleasant as well.

This is the second time I have worked with Phil to purchase Honda's for my teenagers. He is great, and always has a big smile when he greets you. I am tough when it comes to sales and I expect a lot, and I hate feeling pressured. Phil makes you feel very comfortable, while being able to answer all your questions. He is very patient and works with you until you are sure about the car you want. Phil was very attentive to my needs, he showed me several cars even though I had one pretty much picked out. He even told me about cars that were coming in that week so I felt no pressure to buy any car in particular. Phil is very knowledgable about the used car inventory, he remembers the previous owners in some cases. If you tell him what your looking for, he will find the right vehicle for you. If you are shopping for a new Honda, Lia is the best place to go and Phil knows the whole Honda line very well. I highly recommend the Lia dealership in Colonie, especially. Greeted at the door with a cordial welcoming. Told him what type of car I was looking for. To my suprise he had a car in stock that I knew it was what I wanted. We talked about pricing and trade-in. Mark was very professional and never pressured us in making any decisions. We purchased the car. A gentleman on staff reviewed with me some of the features of the car. All paper work was explained to me and well organized. It was a comfortable experience. I recommend Lia Honda dealership.

Traded in a CR-V for a new CR-V. They offered me a very fair price on my trade. I got a very good Rate. Mark in sales, and Scott in financing were very up front and honest. The lot was very busy, but they still managed to get me in and out quickly without rushing. I wish I could have knocked the price down a little, but they made up for it with their trade in offer. Overall, a very positive experience!

I read quite a bit of the reviews regarding Lia Honda. I can see how the negative reviews can occur however, I also see the positive see side of Lia. I consider myself a "car guy", pretty informed and knowledgeable. I have bought four cars from them, '04 accord, '07 ridgeline, '07 accord, '12 accord. The main reason I go there is price. I also like the pull-in service area. Although the labor rates are ridiculously expensive.I am very upfront with the sales person. I tell them what I am looking for, what I want to pay. I also make it clear that I am not afraid to take my business elsewhere. My wife says it's little embarrassing. I tell her we are not here to make friends we are here to buy a car.When I bought my '04 Accord EX it took 3 days of negotiotating. Yes, way too long but I got an unbeatable deal on a car when I wasn't in the market to buy. The Ridgeline which was a lease, took about 10 minutes. Very fast. They dropped $5,000 off the sticker immediately. I told them that I was leaning towards a Toyota Tacoma. Here is where you have to read the FINE PRINT. The sales person told me that I could incur $1,500 worth of damage and not be charged. That wasn't completely true. You are allowed 3 individual scratches, dings or dents that must be able to be covered by a credit card and each one must cost less then $500 to repair. Hence the $1,500. So when a lady backed into my truck and did $1,100 worth of damage I did not have it fixed. When I went to turn it in I was told I was going to be charged for it. I refused to pay claiming that I was given bad information at time of purchase. Shame on me for not reading the fine print and for taking someone elses word. After several weeks of back and forth with Honda not Lia I agreed to pay just $166 for the damage. The '12 Accord I just bought in December of 2011. Sticker was $28,325. I paid $25,210. I probably could of paid a little less or had some extras thrown in but I was happy with this price. The bottom line is all dealers are in business to make money not friends. Know what you want and what you want pay. Yes sometimes the sales person can ruin a dealers reputation but, thats our fault as the buyers, for not complaining and getting that person fired. The reason I am giving Lia all 4's is because 4.9 is not an option and to be a 5 would take a litte more then a good price and a pretty smile.

On a very rainy day, I walked into Lia with a mission, to buy a CRV. Thanks to everyone's courtesy and interest, I got what I wanted and a good deal on my trade-in.Carl was very helpful, understood my criteria. My reason for going to LIA in the first place was word of mouth from friends and family, my reason for staying with LIA will be their continued courtesy and interest in my needs and those of my new CRV.

These people are liars and scam artists. They tricked me into purchasing a car for more than what it was worth. I was turning in a lease that I decided to buy. They told me that I was not entitled to buy the car for the residual value because I went over the miles when I leased it, so I had to pay that penalty whether I turned in the lease or purchased it. This is a complete lie and I have been told by another dealership that I was scammed. Do not deal with Lia the liars.

Recently leased a 2011 cr-v ex-l nav and 2011 accord se. After a little back and forth with prices and the accessories I got the car/suv i wanted at the price I wanted. Almost went to another dealer but they made good on the monthly payments and throwing in the mud guards, floor liners and trunk liners (which they really didn't want to do) but if you stick to your demands and don't back down you get what you want. Wayne is a great guy and I highly recommend him. When you go sign the lease the packages they push are nice thought but we all know it's not worth it, even the service plan, throughout your lease your oil needs to be changed around 5k so 7 times do the math.... I didn't get any of there packages and paid out of pocket for the tire rotation and oil change, saving about $150 over the lia maintenance plan.

I went in to discuss well known rear break problem with service. The first came a quote for rear brake work, they quoted me $380. I brought up the class action suit and Honda's desire to pay for some of the work, then and only then did the service tech look further, but he clearly knew what I was referring. I basically told me tough luck, your car is over three years old, even though it only has 26000 miles, there was nothing the dealership was will to do to assist. I purchased both my cars from this dealership, they will be my last. I recommend others should avoid them as well.

Overal customer service was excellent. Friendly, and very clear on the issues of purchasing a car. I felt very comfortable with the sales rep.The sales manager and finance manager were ok, but too obnoxious and determined to upsell their services. It was to the point that we felt very uncomfortable with their approach. We were very much aware of what we wanted when we purchased the car, and the additional services were not one of the criteria we wanted, but felt very intimitated about the approach.

The experience started out with the salespeople telling me it would take a while for someone to be able to talk to me. When I convinced them I was a serious shopper, they finally gave me attention, but the theatrics were comical. I had two people identify themselves as the sales manager. I got stories about 'I have a guy right over there that wants this same car' and '8 people have called about this car' and 'Japan isn't shipping these, you can't get them'. I got 4 different prices during the negotiation. The final price they quoted was not bad, but they said I needed to buy it right now. If I left, they would not stand by the price. They would not even give me a price they would stand by in the future. I went to Mohawk Honda and their initial price was less than Lia's bottom price. I spent 45 minutes going back and forth with Lia. In 45 minutes, I had the car bought at Mohawk. Lia did nothing to wrong me (aside from waste some of my time). My experience was more comical than negative. I would like to point out to people reading these reviews that Lia has a rating above 4 out of 5 stars (at this time anyway), but they also have more ratings than the other 8 dealers within 50 miles combined. If I was a skeptic, I might think that they "encourage" positive reviews to balance out the negative ones to keep their rating high. Fortunately, I am not a skeptic so I think they just happen to have reviewers with overly positive and overly negative things to say. Here's hoping if you deal with them your experience is on the overly positive side.

I went online and requested a quote from Lia Honda on a new Honda Ridgeline. I received a phone call from a lady scheduling a test drive of some of their used Ridgelines. I told her that I was not interested because they were not the model line I was looking for. I was looking for an RTL which comes fully loaded and they only had a sport model, the RTS, which is just above the base model. I already saw what they had on the internet in the used department and that is why i requested a quote on new. Well the lady talked me into coming in and taking it for a test drive. I thought, sure, I've never been in one, it wouldn't hurt. I got there, walked in the door and three Honda employees appeared to be talking with each other. One finally came over to me and asked me if he could help. I told him someone called me and scheduled for me to take a Ridgeline for a test drive. I must have been standing in the door way for about 5 minutes before he came over with the keys and a plate before we went out side to see the Ridgeline. He put the dealer plate on it, handed me the keys and said, "what do you think? 10 minutes?", i said sure. I drove it around the block and came back. He came out to me as soon as i parked the truck, didn't really ask me any questions, took the keys from me and the dealer plate off and started walking away. I had to ask him, if i could check out a few things about the truck as I test drove it to see if A HONDA RIDGELINE was the vehicle I would be purchasing. My whole experience with this guy made me feel like I was a big inconvenience for him and I would have been better off not even coming in. Well, he then proceeded to take me inside and started asking me some questions. I told him what I was looking for and why and he seemed to be on a mission to talk me out of what I wanted. he told me that I could not find what I was looking for. Mind you, I found 25 used, in reason, in the area that were what I was looking for before I came in to see this guy. I then told him I would consider trading in. He asked me what I was looking to get on trade of my vehicle and he pretty much insulted me to my face and made me feel like i was an idiot for even thinking I could get such an audacious price. I had looked up the value of my vehicle on Kelley Blue Book and NADA before I stopped in to see him, and I was looking for a reasonable dollar amount about midline of what it was worth according to these two organizations and his recommended value was at least $5,000.00 below that. I hope to God that I never have to do any dealings with this dealership again.

I ENJOYED WORKING WITH MARK ELLIS VERY MUCH, BUT WHEN I HAD A PROBLEM MARK DISAPPEARED AND MICHAEL FOOTE THE GENERAL MANAGER FOR LIA HONDA CAME INTO THE PICTURE. HAD I KNOWN HOW I WOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED SO POORLY , I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A KEY CHAIN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I BOUGHT A VEHICLE FROM LIA AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE VEH. NEEDED A $1000 BREAK JOB, CALIPERS, PADS EMERGENCY BREAK, EVERYTHING BREAKS. I HAD THE WORK DONE AND ASKED THE DEALER TO LOOK AT IT ?? WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO SPEND $1000 ON A CAR 6-MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE ? MR. FOOTE BLAMED ME FOR THE BRAKES AND WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE 150 POINT INSPECTION THEY DID, HE SAID YOU SAID THAT NOT ME ?? Great experience after having a previously bad experieince with a different dealership. I was able to come in and tell them what I wanted and what prices I wanted and they worked well with me. It was quick and efficient and everyone was very helpful. I would recommend this dealership.

If the vehicle is not legal to drive off the site due to the work that Honda performed on the vehicle, is Honda liable for any event happened?

Overall excellent experience. Complete in an hour and a half. This included test drive, trade in appraisal, discussion of trems and completion of paerwork. This was a Sunday afternoon. The vehicle was ready for pickup on Monday. All signing and handover completed within 2 hours.

Worst experience ever! The salesman told us he would make the remaining lease payments on our 2007 Odyssey when we traded it in for a new lease on a PIlot. They took the Odyssey and delivered the Pilot on the same day. My husband and I drove off feeling very satisfied. Fast-Forward 6 weeks later and I find out that I still owe Honda Finance $2700 for the remaining payments to the vehicle plus excess wear and tear. Called Lia to see what happened and the salesman denied having ever taken in a trade!!!! Went to look at my paperwork and I had no proof that they took the Odyssey! Buyer beware my husband and I took them at face value and I didnt read the paperwork over carefully. We continued to fight with them and they fought back the GM telling my husband that he should just "pay his bills" and that if I couldnt "be nice" that I should not come to the dealership! Unbelievable! They ended up cutting us a check for the remaining payments, but not without letting us know that they were doing us a favor, when in reality they were just doing what they said they would! They are very dishonest and disrepectful they do not know how to treat a customer DONT GO THERE dont give them your business they dont deserve it.

I couldn't have been happier with the experience I had at LIA Honda. I dealt with Leigh Keller via the Internet and, based on her knowledge, expertise and courtesy, it was an easy decision to set-up a lease arrangement. My credit wasn't the best at the time but Leigh and her colleagues put together a package that was easy to work with. Both Leigh and Fred walked me through all of the paperwork I had to sign and why in a language I understood. Bottom line is I will definitely point anyone in the direction of LIA Honda when one decides to purchase or lease their next vehicle.

I recently purchased a car from Lia Of Albany for my fiance. Normally I have gone out of my way to avoid car dealerships. The experiences I've had with some, have left such memories that destroyed the desire to repeat them. As it happened, the particular car my fiance wanted, an '08 Hond accord COUPE turned out to be quite the challenge to locate as most Accords are sedans. Via one of the many online search engines, I found one at Lia Honda of Albany, and instantly thought, "Ok here we go again." I was so wrong. I spoke with a young woman, Leighanne Keller, via email at first, then by phone, then face to face. This very impressive sales consultant, not only answered every conceivable concern I had with promptness, professionalism, and efficiency, but had me looking FORward to the 150 minute drive that was necessary to view the vehicle. Leigh quickly became a friend and continues today, weeks after the sale, to touch base and ask about the car and our level of satisfaction. This one individual changed my opinion 100% about working with a dealership. First time ever that I have purchased a car and didn't have to haggle over price!!!!!I have been a faithful BMW customer for 7 years and was ready to make a change due to product price vs. value. I am glad that I researched Honda.....When I went to pick up my car, everything was ready. Michelle took the time to show my my navigational system and pair up my Bluetooth!She is truly a sweetheart and a pleasure to do business with!!! I leased a 2011 Honda Civic, and was pleased with the condition I received it in. The team is great, I got good deal for my Honda Civic. I like to make only one comment: the finicing is not so good I mean about the interest rate. I got at the beggining 3% and at the time when I sould sigh all papers the interest rate was so up 6.6%. They reduced to 6.54%. That is all. Thank you.

I was extremely pleased with my experience...from the moment I walked in until I drove away with a new car was approx. 3 hours (unheard of)...I was treated with respect and had all my requests accommodated(almost all- would have like price lowered a little more-but felt I received a really good deal:)). Jessica wasn't "pushy"..loved her no-pressured style...that day due to a very good friend having been hospitalized, a high-pressured sale tactic would have sent me walking!I have praised the experience to friends, family and business associates.Thank you for an enjoyable experience!

I went to Lia Honda knowing I wanted to lease a new hybrid car, but I did not have very much money to work with and I had a beat up old trade. Michelle worked with me to get me into the car I wanted the next day. She was an excellent saleslady and worked to develop a friendship with me. I would return to Lia Honda again.

I just bought a 2011 Honda Accord. Had a wonderful experience. Nathan answered all my questions patiently, and the manager gave me a great deal on my trade-in on a Toyota Camry. Nathan was also accommodating to my schedule: he came to my work place to pick up my new car and install the remote starter. Now let's see how the service department is down the road.

Since we were over on our miles on our Honda Civic's lease which was not up until February, 2011, I wanted to wait till after Christmas to see our options. I didnt want any bad news about how much we owe before Christmas. My husband insisted we go and I was pleasantly surprised when I met Leighanne. She was such a pleasure to work with and we left there with a brand new 2011 Honda Civic and a new lease with no money down and for a less monthly payment than we had been paying. I went to this dealership because Melissa was the first person to call me back with an internet quote, and her price was lowest (of 3) for both a coupe and a CR-V (I am actually still waiting to hear back from one of the 5 dealerships I contacted!). She was willing to fit after-market heated seats (my "only" requirement besides 4 wheel drive) into a lower cost model CR-V if that is all I could afford. Phil was cheerful and professional, despite it being an internet sale with a lower commission, and took me on several test drives of different models, answering all my questions and contacting me after the sale several times to see if I had questions. I was very impressed by the dealership and will probably be taking my car an hour from home to get it serviced there for major services, because the staff are so friendly and helpful and knew their stuff.

When working with Michelle, she was very quick and efficient. She was also very friendly. My husband and I also brought our children in and she was very good to them as well. Michelle did everything she could to make us feel welcome. Being at other dealers before I have felt rushed and felt very pressured but Michelle did not make us feel that way at all. We have bought a used car from Lia Honda before and we will be back to buy another in the future.

My wife and I decided to buy a new Honda CRV-SE and submitted requests for Internet quotes from kbb.com to three dealers. Lia Honda promptly responded with the lowest quote so we decided to stop out for a look. It had been a long time since we bought a new car so I was expecting the stereotypical sales approach and to be pressured into buying a car. Our salesperson, Jessica Malatesta, simply asked what kind of car we were interested in and which colors we liked. My wife indicated she wanted a red CRV and shortly thereafter there was a red CRV in front of us waiting for our test drive. I was completely sold on the CRV after a short test drive but my wife was still a little hesitant, thinking that the CRV might be a little too big for her. I reminded her that we bought her a new CRV in 1999 and that she enjoyed driving it, and that the 2011 CRV offered the best combination of all-wheel drive, safety, reliability, resale value and economy, so she seemed to agree that we should buy the CRV. We told our salesperson that we liked the CRV and asked if they would come down on the price at all. Our salesperson's response was a simple polite and matter-of-fact "No". That was OK with me because the quote of $21,983 was at least a thousand dollars below what I was initially expecting to pay. Jessica (our sales person) then asked us if we would like to buy the CRV. At that point it occurred to me that buying a new car this way was not much different than buying a loaf of bread at a bakery - no sales pressure, no haggling about price, etc. I looked at my wife and said "what do you think?". My wife responded with "OK" but I could see that she was still a little hesitant so I told Jessica we wanted to think about it a little more. Jessica responded with a simple "OK" - again no sales pressure at all. We then left the dealership and headed back home thinking all the way that maybe we should turn around and go back and just buy the car. But Lia was not especially interested in our two 1994 Accords that we wanted to trade in (can't blame them for not wanting two 17 year old cars) so we decided to see if the dealer who had been servicing our two Accords might be interested - they were not. So to make a long story short, we went back to Lia and bought a CRV. They no longer had a red CRV in stock, so my wife had to use her negotiation skills with the sales manager at Lia to find her a red CRV, but after a couple of days she had her red CRV. Our overall sales experience was very pleasant although I was kicking myself the entire time for not buying the original red CRV when we had the chance. Kevin, the financial manager, was very pleasant and thorough in explaining our various options and again there was no sales pressure.My wife still hasn't driven her new CRV because she is still a little nervous about it being bigger than the Accord she was driving, but I'm sure that she will eventually give it a try and learn to love it. Meanwhile I am driving her back and forth to work.

This was my sixth lease of a vehicle and the second time that I had the pleasure of dealing with Lia Honda of Albany. It also proved to be the my best experience of all! The sales personel was extremely knowlegable, very helpful in answering all of my questions and gave me the time, without any sales pressure, to make my decision without fear of intimidation. I was over the mileage on my current Honda and Lia's sales manager, Dominick, suggested a way that he could help me with that extra mileage without over inflating the monthly cost of my new vehicle. I also had three more months left on my current lease and if I kept driving my current Honda Pilot until my lease expired in February of 2011 I would have been well over my agreed to mileage and subject to a very high "mileage over" cost. After Dominick and I spoke and finally came to an agreeable monthly payment I called my wife to inform her that we would soon be rid of our current "over mileage" Pilot and would soon be driving a sporty new 2011 Honda Pilot, with 15,000 miles a year this time! Thanks Lia Honda for being there for me. I know that when my current lease is up I will not hesitate to return to Lia Honda of Albany for what I'm sure will be another enjoyable cay buying experience.

Leighanne was very helpful finding me a used car and very pleasant to work with. The used car had some minor scratches on it which Lia's body shop buffed out for free. Lia's prices were competitive with other dealers in our area and they threw in a free moon roof visor.

I wasn't planning on shopping until next Spring, but when he went through the possibilities with me and helped me get what I wanted now, it was nice not to have to wait. John Carroll was also a big help. He lowered my interest rate and kept my payments down where I wanted them. I would recommend Phil and John to anyone that would like to shop for a Honda.

In the past I have found buying a car to be a stressful and negative experience. I was dreading the process, so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was when I bought a new Honda Civic at Lia. The salesperson (Leigh Keller) was straightforward and personable. The "dreaded" negotiation and paperwork process was as streamline as possible. The whole experience was hastle free and I especially appreciated the level of customer service they offer.

Lia Honda had the best prices by far, and my purchasing/financing experience was smooth and easy. I did all my research on the Honda I wanted, and decided on a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L. I had heard Lia Honda was offering very good deals, but first I visited and got price quotes from several other Honda Dealers in the Albany area. Lia not only beat all of the other Honda Dealers prices, but also give me a great deal for my trade in. It was truly a nice buying experience and no pressure sales. My new car was ready for pick up the next day. They also followed up by phone up to make sure everything was going good with my new car and there weren't any problems. My sales person (Leigh) was great, and the staff I dealt with was really knowledgeable and friendly. They made this car buying experience great with no hassles! Bob

I went in to look at the new 2011 Odessey with no expection to buy. The car was great and offers were exchanged.I had no idea what my car was worth (2006 Toyota). I think they were very fair in working with me to get me what I considered a decent deal. Every one was very professional and all offers were consisered on both sides and we agreed with one that I think was very fair.

I brought my Lia bought Honda in for a recall of the airbag. Next morning I received a call saying my tire was flat & would I like them to take care of it. This was a brand new set of tires with about 2000 miles on them, so I thought I picked up a nail or something.Long story short, they charged me $50 to repair a "leaky valve stem" that had mysteriously appeared once I dropped my car off to have the airbag repaired for free. What a Crock! They got my $50, but that is the last business they will ever see from me!

I did not buy a car since Lia Honda sold the car I traveled an hour to test drive. I made the appointment and arranged to the Transit Rd, Buffalo dealership after work. Once I arrived, I watched two people drive away with the car I was there to see. I received no phone call to inform me that it was being sold. They told me that "I should have been there an hour earlier". Maybe they should have called me an hour earlier to save me the time and gas. The sales manager could only muster up the statement, "Well, there was a mistake". There was no apology. This only indicates the level of service I would get so I opted never to do business the Lia Honda name.Buyer Beware!

I bought my car used from them. Right from the begining I was lied to about my car being in accidents, I was told by David Ramon my car salesman that he would give the car fax report to my mother when she went in the next day to sign paper work. The next day, after my mom had signed the papers I asked her what the Carfax report said she said that David Ramon had told her I had already seen the Carfax. When I went a few days later to pick the car up David Ramon and Micheal Foote REFUSED to give me the Carfax because the car was no longer considered part of their lot because I had already bought it. Come to find out my car had been in TWO previous accidents. When I picked up my car it was still very dirty and there were burn marks on the seats and on the ceiling, I was told that the man who does the detailing was not there and I needed to make an appointment to get it cleaned. I did so and when I went to pick my car up after it was "detailed" there had been almost no difference from when I dropped it off. It was still dirty inside and out and I was told that since I had driven my car off the lot the day I bought it they were no longer responsible for cleaning it. After about a 45 minute conversation with the manager they finally agreed to clean it, to this day the interior of my car is disgusting because it was never cleaned properly.I had my car re-appraised to find out that my car was only worth about $9000, after I had just paid $16000 for it. Two weeks later I went back because my trunk was not opening, I went to speak with Micheal Foote who told me my trunk was not covered under warranty, along with my blown speakers and buttons on my steering wheel which had stopped working. I brought up the fact that I was very un happy with their customer service and how when I would walk in there it would take an average of 15 minutes for someone to greet me and how somedays I would have to find who I needed by myself his responce was "It's not my job to greet people when they walk through the doors, it doesnt matter if you spent 16 million dollars here I would not get up from my desk." I was very unhappy with that responce and him and David Ramon LOCKED ME IN HIS OFFICE because they were afraid that I would dissrupt other customers.

We went in to purchase a new Toyota Highlander. Due to a problem at a different dealership, one we ordered has not been confirmed received after 12 weeks and a $500 deposit. We were checking out our options. The salesman that helped us was awesome, however we did not want to put a deposit down until we got the other one back from the first dealership. When the salesman went in to get our key back from the trade in inspection his manager TOBY (BIGGEST LOSER I HAVE EVER MET) proceeded to yell at him for not getting the sale. Big mistake, that salesman was a good friend of ours and my husband intervened to get our key back, explain he was being a great salesman, and that kind of behavior is not to be tolerated. He then proceeded to insult my husband. I then heard all of his and went in because you do not treat my husband poorly. He then complained that my husband would not shake his hand and thats why he treated him the way he did, over a $100 deposit, give me a break. He threatened to call the police on me.....for simply telling him that kind of behavior is not okay. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. If you are reading this I pray to God you do not buy a car from them. If this is how they treat their staff and employees imagine how they will treat you. RUN RUN RUN to a different dealership as fast as you can. I love my Toyota......just not Lia (stands for Lies, Insults, and Abuse).

I am out of town. Purchased new Honda Accord from Lia. Next day left town. Found scratched wind shield/paint dent on hood/not working properly. Reported by email. I ws told they will take care during next servicing as I was out of town. During servicing they refused to repair as I wsa told I should have brought the car in a day or so. They refused to take responssibility

We went in on a Saturday and quickly found a car that we wanted. We wanted to pick the car up later in the week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, but the financial manager told us that we would have to pick it up on Monday because it was the end of thier sales for the month so we grudgingly agreed. I had just started a new job and told the finance guy that I wouldn't have my pay stub until Wednesday, which was needed in order for the bank to approve my loan. The finance guy said that it wasn't necessary and instead had me ask my boss to write me a letter stating that I had a job, my hourly pay rate and how many hours I work per week. After I hand in all of my documentation, he calls me back later Monday night (and two hours before we were scheduled to pick up the car) to tell me that the bank wouldn't even look at my stuff without a current pay stub (which I told him that I wouldn't have for a few more days). So on Wednesday I fax over my pay stub and later in the afternoon, when I haven't heard anything from them yet, I called over and find out that he had taken the day off (which he could have told me on Monday when I told him that I would send over my pay stub on Wednesday) and that no one would be able to help me until the following day. Thursday goes well and my loan is approved and I go to pick the car up on Friday. Everything is fine, until Saturday morning I take the car for a 20 minute drive and my check engine light comes on. We call the dealership to see if they can take us in because we have a trip planned for the next day and they refuse to see us, and the receptionist is useless because when we asked to speak to a manager she would put us on hold for 20 minutes and then we would get forwarded to a voicemail. Finally we talk to the finance guy and when he refuses to help us, he wouldn't let us talk to a manager. We finally gave up when they stopped answering our calls. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

David went above and beyond the call of duty on a Friday afternoon to get my teenage son back on the road. David and the Lia Honda service team stayed after hours on a Friday working two hours past closing time to get my car up and running. My son was stranded hundreds of miles from home. I can not tell you what it meant to my wife and I to have David and the Lia Honda service team team up and get my son safely back on the road. I highly recommend their service department to anyone.

I went to buy a brand new corolla. Was all set to sign for it, put down my deposit, all paperwork was ready to go. On the day I was supposed to pick it up, the dealership called and said they sold the car to someone else 'by accident.' They DROVE another car from conn. putting tons of miles on it and pissed me off because they told me they were hoping to get a one from glens falls (about 150 miles closer). I test drove a Mazda in the mean time and purchased it instead. It was a much nicer vechicle, and the staff at Cooley didnt SELL it on me before I picked it up. When I called the sales manager to discuss the situation with him, he was screaming at me on the phone about how he now has to sell this car he purchased for me. I have never been so aggravted and pissed off by a 'professional' in my life. I told him it was his problem and maybe he shouldve checked the status of my car before selling it to me. I'm currently waiting for my despoit to be returned, but he was extremly rude about that as well. I intend to send a letter to their corporate office explaining how the manager was the most disgustingly rude person I have ever had to do business with. The shame of it all was that the saleman himself was actually very polite and deserved the sale. Shame on the dealership for treating me like an idiot. I'm happier with my faster car now anyways.

Purchased the extra bumper to bumper warranty and I do not think that the care was ever checked. The tires were almost balled, the battery cable was so loose that it came disconnected from the battery causding the care not to start after taken home. Could not apply $100 depost given on another vehicle to the vehicle that was purchased. Was told that the depost would be sent to me and when I received the check it was only for $75.00.

The only thing that saved the sale, (of a car that took 7 weeks to deliver from the time we ordered it), was the finance guy. He was great, the sales dept was mediocre at best. We had to get up to leave before they took our cancellation threat seriously. They wouldn't take a bank check as payment and they tried to get us hooked at high interest rate. In the end the fiance guy found us financing better than our personal bank. We bought another Honda shortly after the Lia purchase and we ended up using an out of state dealer, Mike Pruitt Honda in OH. FANTASTIC DEALER EXPERIENCE! I'll be a Pruitt customer for life.

their advertisement inthe newspaper indicated to "make us an offer" on a specific car. but NEVER once did they allow us that opportunity. instead, he told us that they had a set price and that was it.<br><br>our previous purchase from this company was 3 years ago and we've had to take it back to be serviced about 8 times since. 4 of the 8 were for the same problem.
