I took my car in here because the 'low oil pressure turn off engine' light was on. They diagnosed it as a damaged oil pan and charged me close to $700 to put a new one on. On my way home the oil pressure light came on again.They got it towed back (after a struggle with Nicole over who should cover it).It turned out a $15 oil pressure switch was faulty and I was told it must have coincidentally failed the previous day.Then my car started leaking oil all over the place because the technician botched the oil pan installation.I couldn't stomach going back again so I finally just replaced it myself for $60 - a $640 dollar saving over what I was charged.

I called regarding an issue I was having and wanted a question answered before making an appointment. Service advisor Nicole answered the phone with an irritated demeanor. She was short and rude and lambasted me for repeating a question. If this is the type of people Lia VW has working there, I surely don't want them working on my car. I will never give Lia VW my business again and will share this negative experience with family and friends.

I'd rather walk than have to buy a car from them.I was shopping for a new car and I went to Lia to look at a cat that was advertised.The car was very dirty, the headliner was full of greasy finger prints. The carpet was muddy. The seats were stained. I went to another dealer VW to purchase a car and ended up with the same car I saw at Lia. The other dealer did not even clean all the mess. Terrible experience from VW. Never again.

Nikole Goodman was my service tech. My car was there for 3 year warranty service. The appointment was on time and they even completed a Manufacturer Recall which I did not think they would have time to do. I made my appointment on-line, chose the waiting for option and am truly satisfied with their service. This is my third Warranty covered service visit to Lia. My original purchase was at Lia VW in Enfield and after researching cars on line and emailing with the sales staff I was extremely pleased with my interaction with them in person. Gave me a good deal, good trade in value for my previous VW Jetta. I would certainly consider another purchase from them in the future.

I found this car on cars.com. It's in different state from where I live. I thought I had to go to DMV myself afterward. Turn out they did everything for me. I will just have to wait for the plates in the mail. I bought a car from an individual before. I find that it's much easier buying from a dealership. To me I think the dealership has to keep their reputation, so they at least have to make sure the car is ok. The car I bought all the warranty has expired, but Lia will guarantee for 60 days which I don't think I get that buying from individuals. Kyriaki Kazalis was my salesperson. We went for a test drive. Then she explained about the service that was done on the car. Also showed me the carfax. She was very nice and not pushing at all. Just let me decide.

From initial contact to setting up an appointment through the technical component to completion-Nikole was cheerful, pleasant, proficient, and professional when: Setting up my appointment; receiving my car at drop off; and finally to closing out my work order at completion. Her repair forecasting was accurate! Now for the Service Technicians -The expected time duration to process my car was spot-on time!While my car was being serviced for one thing the team also processed a VW Service Bulletin that fit right into the time frame without exceeding it. Then there's the Service Manager, Tom-I have met and interacted with Tom a few times. Tom's persona is a great fit when representing Lia Volkswagon's best interests. He demonstrates a "Whatever it takes" attitude when affecting the customer experience. I can't imagine much room left for improvement because each encounter opportunity that I have had is consistent and professional. In conclusion I believe that Lia Volkswagon's Service Department is deserving of JD Powers recognition for Technical Customer Service Excellence. Great job! #KaizenDavid Rosner

The service staff is superb. Nikole Goodman, Service Representative was marvelous in knowing such critical items as who I was, what work I expected to have done and my personal idiocyncracies such as tire pressures, not overfilling the oil, and whether I would need transportation or be waiting, etc. She had all the paperwork ready as soon as I entered, knew who I was, why I was there, graciously directed me to the lounge and indicated where the coffee and refreshments were. In addition she made sure the Service Manager Tom Holigan had a chance to chat with me in his busy schedule. Later when the service was complete she cordially assisted me. One cannot reasonably ask for better service. All work done correctly the first time, every time I visit. A friendly, courteous and extremely competent Service Group from Service Representative to Service Mgr to all the Service and Parts personnel. Top notch! And better than the old Mercedes-Benz dealership I used to visit back in the 1960's. If your VW needs service, go to LIA VW in Enfield, CT!!! 5 Stars!!!

I started to take my Beetle to Lia for service in the hopes of building a good relationship, since I love VW's. While I cannot say the work they have done is bad, or the service, I was unnerved because I had taken the car in for something and was called later in the day to let me know all was set, but that they had done a check and they recommended I get new windshield wipers - fair enough, I hadn't replaced in a while, so I said go ahead. All was well until I had to take my car in again not too long after, for a different issue and again, I get the telephone call suggesting that I need new windshield wipers! Didn't they realize they just sold me some?? It makes it very clear that windshield wipers are an upsell, and Lia was not actually looking out for my wellbeing when they suggested I needed them, nor did they even take the time to review my history. I realize that wipers are not the biggest purchase, but I am on a tight budget and this small incident does not allow me to trust they will be honest when I really need them to be. This 'small' incident has already cost Lia a lot of my business (my car is at that age) and I would look elsewhere when I look to trade in.

My wife and I found a used car on the Lia Volkswagon website that she really liked. We drove from West Springfield to Enfield to take a look at the car and from the second we walked into the showroom we were treated like royalty. Kimberly greeted us when we came in and introduced us to our Sales Rep Zee(Zaahir Qawi). As both my wife and I are long time members of AARP you can probably guess that between us we have bought many, many vehicles. NEVER, have either one us, had such an easy time as this. Zee, made buying a car so relaxing and enjoyable, it was almost like bought it right from our very own living room. We can't thank Lia Volkswagon enough for the amazing time we had. I went to Lia of Enfield to trade my car in for a newer one. I put money down signed paper work and was told to come back two days later at a certain time to pick up my new car. Two hours before i was to pick up the car i was called to be let known that the deal was a no go and I wouldnt be able to purchase this car. (two hours before pickup!) I was then told to try and purchase a newer car and was even referred to car i really enjoyed. Again signed paper work and was told I would be contacted the next day. Two days later with no call I decided to call the dealership. Again i was told no deal. All and all, huge lack of communication and help here, with little to no information reguarding what went wrong or what to do forgoing a car purchase.

I would never buy a car from the lia again. I purchased a used 2004 passet and was charged for window tinting which the previous owner payed for, which I didn't find out until a mounth. also which adds gasoline to the fire, they removed the dealer sticker and pulled the tinting off and when asked them in repairing it, they said no. beware beware beware. If I broke your store window , you might be a little mad. Remember this note will cost your dealership. each time I get a offer from your dealership

Recently bought my third new VW from Lia and am completely pleased with the experience. When I asked for their best price, the response was quick and very attractive. I checked around and no one could beat it. All the sales people from the manager William and his assistant Bill to the people on the floor and reception are knowledgeable and easy to talk with about any aspect of buying a VW or a used car. The service department has been excellent taking care of any issue for my previous VWs, though issues have been rare. They have gone the extra mile literally, sometimes driving to our home to take care of a minor problem, rather than having me drive to Enfield. This time they even delivered my new license plates to my home and put them on my car. I have sent friends to Lia VW and they have also been satisfied with the sales experience. This is definitely the best VW dealership in the area, and one of the best car dealers I have ever known. Be straight with them and you might actually enjoy buying a car. I did.

I was very happy when I bought my car from Lia VW. The sales person was great at helping me find what I wanted and working with me to find a price I can manage. A key factor in buying the car was that I wanted it to be certified (and under warrantee) and still have a good amount of miles left under the power train warrantee, because I was definitely buying pre-owned. Unfortunately, within the first 6 months of having my car the check engine light comes on. I waited a few months because I was told it wasn't a serious issue and was fine to drive with. When I called the dealership, the person I spoke with on the phone was wonderful, describing what the problem was (based on my error codes) and what it meant, as well as what it would cost, nothing! I made an appointment to come in at my next free block in two weeks. When I actually arrived at the shop, it was a very stressful experience. The person at the front desk was telling me they were overbooked with 17 cars and instead of 2 hours it would be all day. To top it off, he said there would be a $50 deductible from the warrantee. Displeased but with few options, I had someone pick me up from the dealership. I called back several hours later, because I had a dog waiting 40 miles away I couldn't realistically leave alone all day. I was annoyed when they said it wasn't even in a bay yet, but relaxed five minutes later when they called back with rental car arrangements. In summary, it was annoying and fell below my expectations (three days later I had to drive the 80 mile round trip to return the car and pick up mine when it was finished). It was somewhat understandable circumstances, though, I would have preferred to be called if they were overbooked and rescheduled before driving out there. They did their best to make up for it with the rental (which was the only reason it worked, as I had work the next day) and by washing my car. Again, I was a little disappointed when they called to tell me it was all set and informed me a headlight was out. I said I knew, I had already bought the bulbs to repair it and they're in the car, but they didn't go the extra mile to replace it. Not necessary, and I wouldn't pay them to do such a simple job in other circumstances, but because of the inconvenience it would have been a nice touch. The car also idles much louder and doesn't run as smoothly since they replaced the manifold, but I was advised to wait several days and see if this persists before calling again.

I went into the dealership with hopes of driving the new Golf R, and I was told directly that i could not. I was completely astonished as to why and I was told by even the manager that there dealership does not allow test drives of this model VW. I don't know too many people who are willing to spend $35,000 plus on a car without driving it first. Will never return here or recommend anyone here. I ended up purchasing from another dealer.

I trie to buy my Jetta here. I signed a contract Thor a brand new 2011 jetta. Two days later they said they could not get the car, so they voided the contract. I think they felt I had too good a price. ( I used a consumer reports service to get a price). I boughtthe same car30 miles away in west springfield. Since then I have tried to use their service department because they are close to my house. Talk about a disaster. Unorganized and unprofessional, never mind the misdiagnosis costing me more!

I basically bought the car online - sight unseen. I had many conversations over the phone and every question was answered professionally and in a timely manner. The car and the paperwork was ready as promised and it took only 45 minutes and I was on my way! I drove app. 2 hours to get there and was worried it would be one of those situations where you get to the dealer and sit and wait, blah blah....Not here. Perfect in every way! The receptionist was always friendly and helpful in tracking down who I needed when I called. Great deal, great treatment, worth the drive from any where!

When I walked into Lia VW of Enfield, I had a pretty good sense of what I was looking for as I had driven several other SUV's at various dealerships. I was originally drawn to VW because of the diesel engine. I test drove the Toureg 2 but I felt it was just too large for my needs. I also looked at the Jetta sportwagon but I decided it was too small. I really wanted an SUV. I ended up purchasing a Certified Pre Owned VW Tiquan (not diesel) however it's PERFECT for me! The friendly and knowledgeable salesman Travis Storms told me that they will release the diesel model in 2015. Which I will consider buying at that point.I had a very enjoyable experience at Lia VW. My sales person Travis Storms was very patient as I ask a million questions and test drove several vehicles. He had the car ready for pick up very quickly and set up my Sirus Radio and showed me all the special features of MY new vehicle. I didn't feel rushed or pressured in anyway and I feel that I got the best car for a fair price. I highly recommend Lia VW and specifically Travis Storms for his kind nature and professionalism.;-)

I switched to lia VW about a year ago. It was the best switch decision of my life. They have blown my mind with the way they have handled servicing my car as well as communicating and over all handling of my needs all together. I was working with Fathers and sons prior to Lia and they are not a bad dealership but the service department was awful, worse than awful. With the exception of Carrie who is nice( little rough around the edges) the rest of the service team is almost like an episode of punked. The things they say and try to get away with are insane. Especially Gabe he's so quick to make the dealership as a whole look bad and lose major potential profits and worst of all customers. He is unintelligent, rude, miserable, and lacks the any positive customer service at all. If that team took a lesson from Chris, Mike, and Tom over at Lia Volkswagen I garentee the income in the service department would triple at worst. Lia VW is a breath of fresh air to deal with not a dreadful nightmare. It's so nice to have to go to.

The Golf is the perfect car for me. When I asked my salesman,Bill Aitchison, the sticker price, I was taken aback. It was pricey. But, the car was very well equipped with everything from AC, sunroof, touch screen radio, mats (winter & summer) and safety technology that is second to none. I was driving a rental since I had recently totaled my car and we started to talk price. In my opinion, we got a very good reduction off the sticker price and Bill Kazanji, Lia's General Manager, sweetened the deal by allowing me to use a new VW Jetta while I waited for Lia to find the Tornado Red 4-door GOLF I just had to have. One day later, Lia called me and said they located my red Golf in New Jersey and by Friday I took delivery. I love the car. I had a small hubcap issue two days later and Lia replaced that with no questions asked. The purchase of my VW Golf was the easiest and friendliest sale I have ever experienced. I never ever made it to the Ford or Mazda dealerships.

I am a car guru,and after researching what I wanted 4 out of the 5 cars I had narrowed down to were VW's. I had hoped last year to purchase the VW EOS unfortunately I was not able to, but I promised the salesman, Bill, that I would return. (I am sure they hear that all the time.) I was so impressed with his friendly manner that I was going to by a VW from him, or I was not buying one. I called Bill over the weekend and I told him that I would be down today and pretty much was not leaving without a new VW. Bill met me at that door, knew exactly what I wanted and showed me exactly what I was looking for. Rather than run the appointment Bill let me ask the questions and showed me what fit. Bill is polite, friendly and very knowledgeable about the cars he sells. When it came time to review the car's features he was very patient and explained everything, sometimes more than once. I am delighted with my Passat SE!There are other VW dealerships in my area, but I chose to only go to LIA Enfield VW. They have been friendly and polite. I would recommend LIA Enfield VW over ANY VW dealerships in Western MA or CT. I was also recommend if you want a positive and successful experience you see Bill A. for your new VW.

I am very pleased with the sales and services at Lia VW. Bill is quite knowledgeable about the product. There was no pressure to buy and the price was fair. Sometimes as a woman I feel that the sales person is trying to take advantage of me but that was not the case with Bill. And the Service department staff is great too (Tomm especially!) This is the second car I've purchased from Lia. I highly recommend them and if in the market for a third car I'll be sure to check out Lia again. Thanks Bill!!

First off I love this place!! I live in Amherst Ma, and I called in seeking information on a car on their website. Bill offered to have a guy come all the way here to get me and bring me back just so I could see the car, because T was without transportation. I thought that was so nice. That car ended up being sold once I came in several weeks later but I ended up with something much better. They worked with me until I was completely satisfied with the vehicle and my monthly payments. What I like about the must with not only Bill but also the dealership as a hole. Even the loan rep was a nice guy! I never thought they were double talking or pulling one over on me because I was a young female, and believe me I've been looking for a car for about a year now and have experienced some scammers!! When it came done to the paper work it was clear cut no fluff. I knew exactly what I was paying and how it broke down. The bottom line is this was my first car and it can be very scary making a financial commitment such as this, they made it less stressful and an enjoyable experience. I am completely happy with my new 2012 Beetle Turbo.

Mrs. Kazalis was very helpful when I was looking to purchase a new vehicle. She has an excellent knowledge of the cars on the lot and was able to explain all my options to me. Keri was incredibly easy to work with and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole car buying process. I was a bit apprehensive as everyone is when they come in to purchase a used car because of the uncertainty of the history of the car. Keri offered to give me a carfax and went over the VW certified program with me which put all my worries at ease. The negotiation process went very smoothly and the sales manager William even came out and introduced himself to me which helped me feel comfortable as well. Overall I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience at Lia VW and I highly recommend them.

Everyone was very nice and took the time to answer all my questions. Would highly recommend my sales person Tony. I had a small issue with my car and he went out of his way to help me. Brian the finance person helped me get a great rate. Steve the manager was friendly as well.

Lia Volkswagen was very helpful through the whole buying process made it so easy an quick! Tony was my sales person he was very low pressure, helpful, knowledgable which went a long way with me to buy the car from them.

Spoke to John Lewis around the 26th of May at Lia in Enfield. He gave me a written Price of $25,598 Plus 3500 for my trade in, bringing the cost of the wagon to 22,098 plus tax.. for a 2009 Komfort Passat Wagon. I did not want the color that was on the lot, but he told me he would get another color for me. He promised me the price would not change. I spoke to him several times during that week asking him if he found the car, Mr. Lewis said he was still looking. AGAIN he reassured me the price would not change when he found the car. When the car came in it was a totally diffrent price for the same exact model we had discussed.!! This guy is a shammer and con artist. Stay away from LIA VW.

Bought a used Audi. When I got home found the CD player did not work. When I brought it to an Audi dealer to look it over, factory installed equipment was missing from the car (approximately $800 worth of electronics). I left several messages for Sales Manager Brian that were unreturned. I finally had to go to the actual dealer to get my answer. He would do nothing for me, not even split the part or give me anything towards the part. They were more than friendly in pre-sales, but horrible afterwards. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone based on negative experiences with the sales manager and lack of commitment to the clients. The entire attitude was not what I would expect out of a small town dealership. Purchase a car, within 2 weeks began experiencing intermitten electrical issues. Dealership refused me a rental 1st time, but did 2nd and 3rd time. GM was inconsiderate, rude, and completely avoided the issue. I find out ,on my own, thru 4 hours of research this car has had electrical issues for years and should never have been sold. I will never use Lia of Enfield again and you should not either. I was misled, and the issue is still not resolved, I was REFUSED a refund and am being forced to get another vehicle from them again.

I was initaly intrested in the 2007 Rabbit 4 door. I met with Ed Luczek from Lia as the dealership is close to my office. Ed was easy to work with, knoledgable about the cars, and opitons avalable. He worked to help me understand my avalable options among not only the Rabbit, but the entier VW range by mentioning the similar features and designs found on other models. I never felt under any pressure to buy or commit to any deal, and was able to decision my purchase at my own pace. He was very friendly, provided me with material that I could review on my own and sent a handwritten follow-up card thanking me for my first visit. this set an expectation of thier sales approch (minor, but it did make an impression.). After my first test drive, Ed provided some basic pricing information based on diffrent options, packages, and vechicles without any request for a commitment so that I had some good information to choose from on my own. He offered to test drive several diffrent cars with me and I decided to get a 2007 Jetta Wolfsburg as it provided the best pricing and options combination of the VW range. From start to finish, it was about 3 weeks including evaluation of several diffrent manufactures. I recieved a fair trade in value after some minor negotioation with the sales manager and I am still very happy with the deal even 5 days after I made it (this is usualy a good sign for me). I turned in my trade as I was close to 100K miles on it and they even provided a very nice loaner VW until my new VW comes in as it had to be ordered. I was able to fully review the sales agreement prior to signing and fully understood the cost and in the end it is truly a fair deal for both parties. I am geting the type of car I wanted with every option I wanted for exactly what I expected to pay and they are still making a reasonable profit (as they should) which they freely admit (unusual in this industry). I visited several dealers in the Hartford area and did not recieve the same attention, information, or level of expert sales service as I did from Ed in Enfield. They realy did a great job. Ed, and the entire team actualy made me feel as I was an important client. They worked to understand what I was looking for, provided a reasonable no pressure process for negotiation and earned my business. I would gladly recomend them. Customer service is very hard work, but it seems to be very natural to the folks at Lia VW. I will be returning to them for all my service and they will be my first call on future purchases. I will actualy be implimenting some of thier sales and service practices at my office as well.

The salesperson and manager completely lied about the options included in the car, the incorrectly told us the property tax was included in the payment, and to top things off, they agreed to a sales price and trade, and wrote the entire deal up with different numbers. When we noticed the difference, we asked to see the computer printout to see the exact numbers and the salesperson agreed to make the corrections and send it to us prior to taking delivery of the car, so we put a deposit down on the vechicle. The next day, we still did not receive the printout and called to find out the delay. When we finally spoke to the manager, he stated they don't generally send out that information, but after we sign all the papers, we could see it. SCAMMERS! Buyer BEWARE! I have bought cars from a variety of dealers, but these folks are the absolute most dishonest scammers in the business. I ended up buying the fully loaded version of the same vechicle for less than what they were trying to rip me off for the base. This is the worst dealership in CT. Stay away. These are the people that make it hard for the honest folks. Get your VW from West Hartford VW, Gene Langan, or Mitchell. They all FULLY DISCLOSE the information. Avoid these CHEATS AT ALL COSTS. I have dealt with Lia while in my search for a used Volkswagen. I found the car I liked, everything was just how I wanted it. We get down to the figures and the Sales Manager offers me $4000 less on my trade then my last dealership and the NADA trade-in guide. We ask is there is any way he can compete with the other dealers trade or atleast honor what I should have recieved per NADA. He said "Hold on let me go double check NADA...", walks straight past his office to go outside and makes a phone call, comes back in and says there is nothing he could do, and very rudely said "Well, go buy the other car". Please keep in mind both cars I was trading on were around the same price, but I like the car at Lia much better.Their showroom and vehicles are top notch, but the quality people in the building are horrible, and horrible to deal with.
