I recently purchased my 4th car at Liberty Ford in Solon. Rick Neathery is always my salesman. Rick has sold me a Mustang and a Fusion, and leased two Fusions with me. Negotiations and purchase of my 2016 Focus were conducted predominantly via email. When it came time for delivery on Aug 15 my deal was handed off from one sales person to another and then to another. The deal included installation of a Class II hitch so there was supposed to be a delay of "a couple" of days to get the hitch and adapter. The vehicle had been driven approx 1270 miles by a Liberty employee so they also agreed to completely clean and detail the vehicle and give me an oil change coupon. Here is an excerpt from one of the last communications I received on Aug 18: "The hitch and adapter should be in tomorrow and then we can set up installation on Monday. We will also re-detail the vehicle and buff the scratches." Days passed and then a week and then two weeks. It has now been over six weeks and I have not heard a word from the dealership about any of the promised items. I stopped emailing them after two weeks. Worst car-buying experience of my life. I am 65 and I have bought dozens of cars. The last four have been Ford products, but this will be my last. I had a bad experience at Liberty several years back, when a sales person failed to follow up with me on pricing and features and I eventually bought my 2011 Escape elsewhere. I decided to give them a second chance...BIG MISTAKE! Avoid Liberty Ford like the plague!

I received an unexpected email from Tiffani Meighan. She informed me that a buyer wanted to purchase my car. I had been reading the specifications and reviews for the 2016 Ford Focus. Tiffani was efficient as well as helpful in understanding my needs as a Ford owner. Always a wonderful experience! Throughout the 23 years we have lived in Solon, we have bought or leased all our vehicles from this dealership -- even before it was Liberty Ford. Not only that, we have always worked with the same salesperson, Steve Rhodes. He goes the extra mile to ensure we are completely satisfied with both sales and service. The car-buying experience is a treasured relationship. I just bought a new 2016 Fusion last week and I love it! Steve took the time to help me set things up and familiarize me with the new features -- a LOT compared to a 10-year old car. Both the car and the dealership are beyond my expectations!When our vehicles need service (routine or problem), we trust this dealership because of long-term relationships and in-depth knowledge or our vehicles, just like a good primary care physician. The service department treats us with as much care and concern as the sales department. Until we started working with Liberty Ford in Solon, we had never experienced this level of satisfaction with other dealerships or other vehicle service companies.

Everyone there is super nice, while you are buying the vehicle. But afterwards, you better watch out. They made several mistakes immediately after the purchase that in turn cost me a good chunk of money that I needed to come up with immediately, at the same time, having to cancel my extended warranty that they spent 30 minutes convincing us to purchase. When these errors were brought to my attention, we received approximately 10 different stories, from about 4 different people, blaming anyone but themselves, and lying about almost everything. At the same time, they were sending us paperwork to back up their lies, and only actually proved their lies. There is a financially binding document sent to us that has my fiance's "signature" but it is definitely not his signature!!! Not even close. The dealership refuses to respond to anything. Disgusting. If they would have just come out from the start and talked to us immediately, stating they made a mistake, or in this case several mistakes, none of this would have happened. Everything would have been taken care of through our lender, and we would have NEVER even known that there was a forged signature in the mix. Sad that people do business like this, and the entire dealership stands behind this practice.

Perfect in all respects, except when I asked about sync software upgrade I was told that it is not included in my maintenance contract and it would cost $128. The Ford mysync online staff said that the dealership should perform the upgrade for free.

I received notice for my 30,000 mile checkup and just at the same time a $10 coupon for service and used a prior rebate card from brakes service.. so it was the best $15 I have ever spent. Service visit and the Service Dept. did very well as they normally do. Pat Clarke is our main contact and he is great with which to deal. All others are helpful and pleasant too. This is one of the best, if not the best dealership, I have used for service. I live a little closer to Kent and definitely will not use the Ford dealership there due to bad experiences in the past. I put 4 stars on Facilities since the building is older and these folks really need more space. But they all do very well with it and get the job done correctly.

We where in a year ago and worked with Tara, unfortunately due to our circumstances, we were unable to get a vehicle.One year later, I saw on the website a very nice used van. I called Tara on Monday morning regarding the van. She took care of EVERYTHING! We came to the dealership on Wednesday afternoon and drove home with the van.Tara always kept in touch with us over the course of the last year, mostly to see how we where doing. My husband became a double amputee in 2014, we really needed a bigger vehicle and a van was exactly what we needed. Tara and Bruce made this is possible in less than 48 hours. Everything went smoothly, no hassles, no games. They both took such good care of us, it was a pleasure buying this car. I leased a Ford Escape 2016. The service was excellent and the staff was more than helpful. Chris Fischer handled my leasing agreement. As a 22 year old woman about to graduate college, this was my first "big girl" purchase. Chris did not embody any of what the car salesman stereotype is. I told him that Ford was my first visit and I felt the need to see other dealers (even though I pretty much knew I wanted the car at that time). Chris then pursued to tell me information about what to look out for (fees at the end of the leasing period), which was honest and helpful. Even when talking about Ford's competitors, I felt that Chris had my best interest at heart. At the other dealer, I can honestly say that the vehicles I chose between were both very comparable and small things, such as the genuine salesman at Ford, helped make my decision. I have had my car for a few weeks now and am thoroughly enjoying everything about it.

I was recently in the market for a new lease and I'm not a person who generally pays much attention to what's happening in the car market. So when I started asking around, several people suggested I take a look at what Ford has going on. Liberty Ford is in my town, so I headed down one Saturday. Holly helped me test drive an Escape and a Fusion. First of all, wow! Ford products have really evolved from the last time I shopped cars. I fell in love with the Fusion and Holly helped me understand all the various options until we settled on the right car. With an infant at home, hanging around at a car dealership for hours on end isn't really feasible; Holly helped me get around that as well so I could take care of my family. She really couldn't have done much more to make the process easy for me. At the dealership, she introduced me to multiple others working there, and they were all just as friendly and she is. Financing and paperwork - easy as pie. The facility isn't as sparkly and flashy as others I've been in, but don't let that fool you. The surprises didn't end after I got my car. Free car washes, hello?! Plates waiting for me at the dealership within a week. Not long after that, a package in the mail containing a calendar from the dealership with a picture of me and my awesome new car. What a great touch! Details matter, and I'm a person with high standards. "Above and beyond" is an appropriate description of the service I got here. Well done!

I went to liberty ford in search of a larger truck than I had. My sales girl, Holly, not only went over and above to find me the truck I needed, gave me honest answers and straight up service. Fantastic experience with my beloved Golden Retriever at my side, for moral support!! Went to 'only' check out the Ford Escape, with plans to visit other dealerships. Ended the day with trading my 2009 Honda SUV in for a new, and fabulous, Escape. All because of the trust I had, and the outstanding reputation of Liberty Ford, in Solon. Great way to begin 2016!

Awesome experience, went in there lookin for a brand new edge, test drove one and fell in love with it. Tara found one with everything I was looking for. Said I wanted to think about over night. Was never pressured to buy it right then and there. Ending up coming back and looking at the escapes instead. Tara was absolutely amazing!! Found the vehicle I wanted with every option I wanted!

I'm a very picky person and know what I want. After finding 5 different trucks I wanted to find out they all just sold, Matt was able to find the next best thing. I love the truck he found and the color is growing on me. Tara convinced me that I should get a ford and am glad she did. She took care of the paperwork and all the questions I had. Even after all signing, she still helps any way she can. Steve is very knowledgeable about the trucks and showed me everything I needed to know inside and out. I also appreciate the work Tony did on the front end. Overall everything is great.

Made an appt weeks before for an 8 am oil change Saturday October 24th at Liberty Ford Solon. Dropped the car off at 8:05 am, two cars ahead of me in the service bay entrance. i told them i had an appt for an oil change and my low tire pressure warning light had come on. They took my cell phone number, told me they would call when it was finished and i left to walk around. 2.5 hours later i was sitting in the showroom and nobody asked me if i needed help or was taken care of. so i went to the service desk and asked "Dude where's my car?" to which Jack (service manager?) replied "Oh i didnt realize you were waiting for it, we havent even started it yet, i'm sorry". First off, nobody asked me if i was going to wait or have somone pick me up, so they wrongly assumed i was leaving the car. Even if i left the car, why on earth would it take all day to do an oil change? Anyway i demanded my car and left in a storm of profanity but the worst part is i still need to get an oil change and i wasted 3 hours on a saturday morning during which i could have been doing ANYTHING else other than hanging out in the xxxxxx showroom. Jack did not offer to make it right, he did not offer a free oil change or to move me to the head of the line. He just said "Im sorry sir". What an utter disappointment and crappy attitude. When i called back to complain he said "sir you never gave me an opportunity to fix the problem" Um, yea thats why i called back dumb xxx. You STILL missed the opportunity to correct it.

I took my wife's van in for service,and decided to look around for a used car. I found one, took it for a ride and loved it. I wasn't pressured into anything by my salesman. I had investigated car types before going to Liberty Ford. I drove an SUV but wanted back into a sedan. The only thing is it had to be AWD. I liked Liberty Ford because the dealership was close to my home. However, when I went in Steve Rhodes was very accommodating. I appreciated his patience in letting me take my time to decide. He did not pressure me with phone calls at all. The staff at Liberty has been very kind and helpful. After having the Ford Focus for almost a month, I absolutely Love it.Steve has been very patient assisting me with learning the touch screen and commands.I am now a Ford Girl.

I needed assistance on getting a new car. Many times the price was changed and when I started questioning the changes, the salesman Rick started becoming irritated. He says "Dude, this is the best you are gonna get and I suggest you take it". When I asked him to check with his manager (Matt), they were whispering at which point, he came back with a $10.00 difference. I went to another Ford Dealership and they gave me a better price for my trade in and my payment almost $100.00 less a month.

Whenever we want to buy a car/truck or need service, Liberty Ford Solon is our first and only choice. I highly recommend buying your car from Steve Rhodes. My husband, son and I have bought many vehicles from him over the years. Steve goes above and beyond the traditional role of car salesman to build and nurture trusting, long-term relationships. I will never forget one particular purchase. My older car had a large number of miles, and a problem arose that required significant attention immediately to continue driving it. We decided that it was more cost-effective to buy a new car. As Murphy's Law would have it, this happened right before I was leaving for a month-long business trip. My husband worked with Steve to finalize the details for the new car while I was gone, but my signature was required on the documents. Steve sent the papers to me in Boston via overnight mail, spent an hour on the phone with me explaining the terms and conditions, and personally drove our new car from Columbus so my husband would have it in time to pick me up from the trip. Steve always ensures that we remain highly satisfied for the life of our vehicles, not just the day we buy from him. The single point of contact that Steve provides gives me peace of mind. Steve can attest to the fact that I have extremely high expectations and am not the most patient or forgiving person :) I know I can count on him to manage occasional issues to my satisfaction.

I just recently leased my new 2015 Fusion from Liberty Ford in Solon, and I could not be happier. From beginning to end, the entire process was fantastic. I currently live in Columbus, Ohio, and this is still the only dealership that I trust when looking for a new or leased car. You want to talk about perfect customer service -- my car was actually delivered to me in Columbus. I was unable to get up to Solon in order to trade in my old vehicle, and instead of waiting for a time when I could drive up, Steve Rhodes brought it down himself. I'm not sure that there are too many other dealerships where the salesman will personally deliver the vehicle.I will no doubt continue using Liberty Ford in Solon as my preferred dealership; and would definitely recommend Steve Rhodes, and this location, to everyone I know!

My husband and I went in to just LOOK at an F150! When we arrived we took one for a test drive and fell in love with it! The service was amazing and we ended up leaving with a brand new truck that day! We had a small problem with the battery about a month after having it, however they were quick to fix it and very helpful! I will be buying my next car from there!

Extremely disappointed in my visit to Liberty Ford of Solon. I emailed Walter Brown on Friday and let him know I would be in in Monday to look at a truck. He told me to let me know when I would be coming in. I emailed him again on Monday and advised that I would be there at a designated time as I had an hour drive to get there. He responded back and said that would be fine. Once at the dealership he pawned me off on another salesman who said he would retrieve the vehicle that I was interested in. After 5-10 minutes he came back and stated that the vehicle was traded to another dealership on Saturday. Obviously this dealership need to improve their communication with each other. I drove over an hour for absolutely nothing when I was told multiple times that the truck would be there Monday for me to view. I will never purchase a vehicle here. Thank you for wasting my time and fuel.

Bought a used vehicle from them they gave me 2 keys 1 does not work properly and they told me to bring it up and they just cut one without the key pad so now I have to open doors with a key and not a key pad ford certified truck after they Sale you something they don't care anymore.. had to wait a week just to get the vehicle due to shop working on it very unhappy

Took my car in when my "low tire pressure" warning popped up. Despite not having an appointment, they were more than willing to get my car in right away. I took a seat in the showroom and after a quick, half hour, wait everything was finished and ready to go. They explained that I had a rim leak and after fixing the issue, they ran my car through the wash and brought it out front. I could not believe how truly amazing both the service and experience was.

I do not have a single nice thing to say about this place. I cannot believe they are in business. We bought a 2013 car last year and it broke down 3times. They were rude, did not honor our warranty and pretty much refused to help. Operator just transfers calls straight to voicemail. I absolutely have never had a worse customer service experience anywhere in my life. Trades in my junk lemon car from liberty and was won over by klabens customer service.

i called the dealership for a certain car I was interested in. The Sales Manager called me back with choices he could show me. The next day I came in and drove the car I had requested and the salesman, Rob Harger, was with us and was very informative with the options on the car and answered all my questions. He was very patient while we worked out a deal with the Sales Manager, Wally, and we arrived at a price we all agreed on. As the deal progressed, we worked with the Finance person, Bob, and I also added on a pre paid car care maintenance package. As we were ready to leave, again Rob took the time to go over the feature of the Ford Focus Hatchback 5 door, which I appreciated the extra time he took with me.

Previously I wrote a review of how I was dealing with the potential repairs that were needed for my car that I had only had for 4 months! My car was in need of a new engine and the warranty company wasn't willing to take the recommendations of the dealer, which was confusing and upsetting to me. This started almost a month ago and although I'm sadden that it has taken this long to get resolution. Its clear to me that some things are out of the control of the dealer. I've been dealing with Jack Blair in the Solon OH Service Department and he has been great! During this very stressful situation he has stuck by my side and only tried to do his best and get the right things done. The only person who I felt understood my position and who didn't make me feel like this was my burden to carry alone. This was a battle that I would have surely loss if I had faced it alone and Jack has been my knight in shining armor! Im very happy with all the work Jack and his team have done to work with the warranty company to get my car repaired correctly. Jack thanks for your awesome customer service, dedication to doing the right thing, and for being so understanding! Words can't express how much I appreciate all that you've done for me!

There is a recall on the 2013 Escape that I got notified about earlier this year and again last week when the parts were finally shipped to the dealerships. I called last week to set an appointment and the earliest I could get in was September 25th, when I questioned the gentleman who answered the phone on why so far out... his comment was to me " I don't make the rules and I'm telling you what my manager told me to say, and if you don't like that date you don't have to make the appointment" I was shocked at how rude he was to me--- needless to say I made the appointment for 9/25, but promptly got off the phone and called another Ford Dealership and got in next Thursday 5/7 , in fact they are going to pick up the Escape from my home at 8 am in the morning and provide me with a rental car for as long as the fix takes I realize that nothing will be done about this, but i will tell you that I have been up to this point satisfied with the service I have gotten at Liberty , but I will also tell you that the salesman is the conduit that gets me the car, but the service department is who i rely on to keep me coming back.

I purchased a car from Liberty Ford and only after 3 months of having this car i've been having non stop issues. I called the service department and advised them that I had a warranty and wanted my car looked at because it was overheating and undrivable after only having it for 3 months. After leaving the car at the Solon Liberty location for practically the whole day, I was informed that yes there was a problem with the car overheating. They stated that they would do what they could to get the car in for repairs but could not give me a date because they were so backed up. I asked for a loaner car in the interim since they couldn't even give me a date for the repairs to start and I was declined. I told the worker that Id rather just come get my car and his concern was that further driving of the vehicle would cause damage but he wasn't going to be able to help me further. Im not asking to keep the loaner car, but geez you can't even tell me when your team can start the repairs and you don't want me to drive it but you don't have anyway to help me? Wow im so dissatisfied with the service I have received! I'm paying for the car, the repairs and a rental car for as long as liberty ford needs me to without telling me how long it will be to fix my car. They aren't interested in keeping their customers! I should have read some reviews before I purchased this car!

Because of an unpleasant previous car buying experience, in which the car salesman was pushy and over eager to make a sale and not exactly truthful about what was being offered me, I wasn't expecting my visit to Liberty Ford Solon to be any different. But it was clearly a difference of night and day. In fact, I am so pleased that I'm taking my time in writing this review in show of my gratitude toward the Liberty Ford Solon Team. I spent six hours on a Saturday trying to find a vehicle that would suite me and my budget. I would say, on my part, that I was very indecisive. I used a lot of their time with out finally choosing anything. My surprise came when they offered me a brand new F150 to take home over the weekend, to see if I would like it. When Monday arrived I had told them I would like it but that I needed some time to work out my finances. I wound up changing my mind again, some time later. Long story short. They never lost patience with me and they kept in touch with me until finally placing me in the right vehicle, even with the poor credit rating that I have. I'm especially appreciative to my salesman, Rob Harger. He kept on his job in the most agreeable way and put me on the road when I needed it most.Christopher Davis

Tries to close aggressively the deal with high pressure. Walked away and bough preowned Lexus from a highly valued and reviewed dealer. I do not recommend anyone this dealer.

Rob Harger was not a pushy salesman, which I cannot stand, but very calm and asked me and my husband what we wanted. We told him some options and together came up with the right vehicle. Rob also got me a better price than other Ford dealerships. Now I am loving my new 2013 Ford Explorer and having fun driving it. The vehicle is so high tech it is actually fun talking to sync and telling it what I want. The best deal for me is that I can walk into Liberty Ford any day or time and say "my car is dirty" and Rob or anyone else will run it through the car wash! I also get emails from Ford reminding me of how to use all the new cool features on my new vehicle! These are very helpful. I also have a cool Liberty Calendar for 2013 on my fridge with a picture of me with my new Explorer! Love it! I was worried about buying a new vehicle and getting a slick salesman but Rob Harger is not that person. I highly recommend stopping in and just talking with him. Tell him what you are looking for, no pressure!

The customer service was terrible. I waited over a month (5 weeks!) to get my car into the shop for recall work and for warranty work because they didn't have any complimentary cars available. The quality of work was terrible as they wouldn't fix my dents which are covered under the expensive warranty they sold me and said that I should take it to my insurance company because it wouldn't be easy work for them. Their friendliness didn't exist, they didn't communicate anything they didn't have to and even left some things out as I waited where I dropped my car off for almost 15 minutes before someone said they pulled it up front, a place that no one mentioned nor was there any rational reason to do so. My overall experience has been bad from the moment I encountered the dealership. I called them about my car as they had it listed in stock, which they confirmed. So I drove an hour away to get there when I found that the car was actually at a branch much closer to me. The price was a rip-off. I paid for a dent, scratch, crack warranty, but when it came time to use it, they told me to take it up with my insurance company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!

Bought a 2005 mustang. Negotiated price was not the price that appeared on the bill of sale. I was owed service on the car because it was not on the lot very long before I bought it. I made a list of repairs for the auto shop and body shop. After one full week the car was returned with only 2 issues fixed and the rest untouched. I was also told they got more dents and scratches out than I knew were there. Again one dent removed and dozens of others still there. I am not happy with the service that was done to the car for the price I paid. I have had the car back for one week and now the engine is knocking. Of all the issues the car had, they only fixed 2. Not happy not satisfied would not recommend this dealer to anyone who wants a job well done. I was promised the car to be fixed and the body cleaner than it appeared.

Car listed online, advertised as just like new when in actuality was a rust bucket.Salesman was asked on phone about rust said it had a small surface rust spot when in actuality the entire undercarriage was nearly rusted through. Salesman said a new muffler had just been installed. Muffler had 9 in blowout on the seam.Terrible dealership, no ethics, no pride, just bald faced lies.

Not truthful about delivery date, and no phone calls to update us. Problem with hitch install and price quote No paperwork sent for plates until we called overcharged us sales tax lied about prepayment penalty on loan said they forgot to have us sign something, and insists we should come in. Has not sent coupons as promised for free oil changes. defensive when I tried to call and discuss

I wanted to trade in my Escape for a more fuel efficient car since I was driving much more than I had expected. My usual salesman was not available so Pete worked with me. It was a pressured, hard sell and I wished I walked out. Pete made me feel like an idiot for not taking this deal. Typical for male salesman with female buyers. In addition the car I was looking at was focus titanium. They of course did not disclose that the my touch was not working properly in these cars. That was the feature that had caught my attention. It did not work for the first 6 months I owned the car until the new software came out. Lemon law did not fit the situation because it was not a "significant enough" problem. The general manager said he would make it right but then never called. No integrity here. Just want your money

Rick was very helpful for my wife and I when were looking for a new auto. He didn't rush me nor play the typical "Sales" game. We are very happy to go there. We have bought two autos because of his help. I recommend the dealership mostly because of Rick. Thanks again.

We saw a used car for sale within our price range. We talked with Keir and asked if we could get more in for our trade-in - he made it happen. He promised us that the car is in good condition. He even drove it to OUR repair man so he could take a look at it. The car is driving great. Go to Liberty and talk to Keir. Tell them Ray sent you.

My wife and I visited the showroom on June 14 with the intention of buying a new Escape to replace our 2002 Escape which we loved. We test drove two models and it was getting late. As we were leaving at closing time, I informed the young man that I was a serious buyer and I gave him a ballpark idea of the difference I was willing to pay for the new vehicle, with mine in trade. He said he would discuss it with his boss in the morning and give me a call. Well, the call never came. A week passed and we decided to go to Mullinax East. We purchased our new Escape at Mullinax last night for a difference in price within $200 of the number I gave the young man. Opportunity lost! Learn a lesson...make your follow-up calls! Your customers expect you to do what you say you're going to do. I for one, am not about to chase someone to give them my money. If a dealer cannot follow up on a simple sales call, what must their all-around service be like?BN

The customer services is the worst. We verbally agreed to a price and they changed the numbers in the contract. Since I signed without noticing the change since the numbers were similar but with a difference of $800. I wanted to return the Ford Explorer, but they did not accept it and they did not honored the price that was verbally agreed.

I can't recall the woman's name, but I bought a used '05 Taurus from her about a year ago (company lease buy out). She was extremely friendly and helped troubleshoot a financing dilemma I was having. If I had to guess I would say she was between 40-50 yrs. old. I'm not very touchy feely with strangers but I felt like giving this woman a hug after it was all said and done. This might sound hard to believe but the experience actually felt great. I definitely recommend this dealership.

I took my 2002 Expedition the Liberty Ford Solon for service (cracked exhaust manifold). The dealer had the truck for 5 day but indicated that the service was completed in two. They were unable to explain the remaining three days. When I picked up the truck there was damage to the front bumper (dented and paint chipped) and the left running board and rear quarter panel. I notified the service manager and store manager. Both informed me that "leaving my truck with them was no different that parking in a KMART parking lot." They are not responsible for damage that occurs while the truck is in their lot. Think twice about doing business with a company that is this irresponsible with your investment!
