Had the worst experience I've ever had today at your dealership. Called about a 2006 dodge ram diesel was told it was in great running condition etc. Drove 90 minutes each way and had to bring someone with me as I was a buyer. Arrived there truck had rust that was poorly touched up, looked past that took the truck on a test drive and went to test 4x4 and the transfer case failed. Leaving us to have to wait for our salesman to come pick us up in another truck. I decided to call it a fluke and test drive another truck. The 2010 Sierra we test drove started misfiring, and chugging a block after we left the dealership on the test drive. We bring it back and finally about to leave they bring out a fully loaded ltz avalanche take that for a test drive, the automatic running boards were broken needing new motors, the interior lights would not shut off meaning bad sensor in the door, and on top of that the on board air compressor for the shocks was constantly running meaning the air shocks were leaking and the system needing replacement. I liked the avalanche and told them I'd purchase it if the few things were fixed. We went inside to talk numbers, this is where I gave them my offer and such. Salesman said sales manager declined fixing repairs. I asked to speak with sales manager who was extremely rude. Stated he can't take any money of the sticker price or fix anything needing repairs. He was well aware that I drove 90 mins and test drove 2 trucks already 1 in which left us stranded. Sales manager had the "I don't care" attitude. For someone that purchases numerous vehicles a year I am extremely disappointed in the experience especially at a chevrolet dealership. The salesman I worked with was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. As far as customer service goes the sales manager had zero service. Then to top everything off they didn't even look over the two broken trucks they just put that back in the front of the lot.

Went to look at a car advertised on Cars.com and their website, and after agreeing to a price and handing over credit card for deposits, the purchase contract returns with a price MORE than double the advertised price. I get a load of BS about how its to cover the "certification " of this 15 year old car (which isnt legit-can't have older cars certified ) plus other charges. The car was advertised for a price on their own website plus other outlets for $3k and I would have paid that, plus the taxes and registration fees, but not the false additional fees. Truly mislead by the false advertising by this deslership. Wasted a day and have a bitter taste with them muchless Chevrolet dealers in general-hadn't been to one in 10 years and surely don't have a reason to visit another one anytime soon.

Couldn't find car, smelled terrible, no fuel. Passed on car and asked about a second car. Could not answer questions about the car.Liked the car, made an offer of -500 on a 10,000 car. They came back with more add on costs of $2800, without coming down. No dropping price at all and wasted our time. Felt like a scam.Would never go back and not recommended at all!

Received an offer for a trade in based on a appraisals via cars.com. They would not honor the offer and offered less than half instead. Claimed that the offer was less because of minor items that had already been reported to them through the online appraisal process. Total waste of time. Also, the front desk was pleasant during greeting but then proceeded to swear profusely amongst the staff. Glad my kids stayed home. Would not recommend.

I am an experienced car buyer, with low expectations. In fact, I worked for GM for many years in a senior role so I can attest this is no way to buy a car! I wouldn't buy anything from these liars. I walked in with a published ad (including advertised pricing on 2 specific new cars) and my checkbook, ready to pay cash and buy, but: (1) the cars did not exist (instead of the 5 miles advertised they each had thousands of miles, and one was out being driven by the owner's wife at the time); and (2) the advertised price assumed that I qualified for all 14 available GM discounts (they gave me the list) and was totally unachievable (many discounts were mutually exclusive, including the Chevy lease pull-ahead and the competitive lease trade-in-- you can't have both, and the GM educator discount plus the GM student discount--also cannot have both, among others). After discussing this with 3 salesmen and the manager I assumed I had made my point. But apparently not. The advertisements are still out there today. Although I could never do business with people like this, under any circumstances, you should all think twice. I was about to spend $70,000 on a new SUV, and they pulled out all the stops to take everything they could be from me. Including false advertising, which is illegal. Imagine what they'll do when you need service on a vehicle and there's no indoendent nbenchmark on the cost. I would never, ever do business with these people. Btw, I bought the new 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premium (formerly LTX trim) last week -- and it is absolutely spectacular. Just don't buy it here. They will screw you. Hope this was helpful.

Don't buy a car from this dealership! They do not treat their customers well. I bought a new Malibu from them in August and, so far, I love the car. The staff, however, leaves much to be desired. From the lying John the Salesman to the condescending Gary and John in Finance to the always-in-a-meeting Sales Manager, none of these people had any interest in helping me once I had signed the contract. There was an error on the contract; they had not honored the agreed upon price. I made three visits and several phone calls. Each time I was promised an answer to my question on the paperwork, but I still don't have an answer. Sadly, I expect car dealers to be kind of shady. However, this is the SHADIEST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. These people lie, lie, lie.

Everyone hates to deal with buying a car. Please try Libertyville Chevrolet. No pressure just great help making sure you understand the car and the options, making sure you understand the price breakdown, and making sure you have the best price. All this happens at the pace you want to go. If you want to move fast, they will move fast, if you want to take time, they will take time. I will never go anywhere else!

Keith was our car salesman at Libertyville. He had two other people buying a car at the same time, and they must have been spending more money than us because he barely came over to our table in the two and a half hours we were there. When we discussed price, he scribbled the numbers on the back of a paper and gestured at them vaguely and quickly--when we got to the finance guy, it turns out that the original price had gone up even though we were getting a "discount." Funny, when I asked the specific price on the floor, it was nearly $800 less! There was a warranty added on the car that I did not want, but was told that I could not be sold the car without it. I can find no documentation online that states that Chevy is required to certify their cars, and the warranty and what it covers wasn't explained; when I asked I was told "it covers all that mechanical stuff." When we got the bill of sale, the price was there but no itemized section for the warranty--when we asked, THEN they pulled out a "we owe you" card and crossed out the "nothing owed" written on it and added in the warranty terms. Ultimately I left with a bad taste in my mouth and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Please stay away fronm this Auction store. I thought they are big dealers and behave like professionals but they did not. Here was my experience at this dealership last week.I liked one of their used cars posted in online and booked an appointment to test drive. I went there next day and did the test drive. Online price is $9999 (roughly). so I expected to pay Doc fee and Tax in addition to that after I talked to them and confirmed the price. After the test drive they come with $13K price tag ( $3000 addition to their online sale price). In addition to the sale fee, they added $2500 for Warranty. But they said their price of the car is $13K, if you dont get warrranty you can't buy this car. Its rediculus. After 30 mins of bargaining, they come up with another quote for $13K again. This time, they reduced the warranty from $2500 to $2000 but they added another fee called "Preparatory Fee" for $500.They simply told me that if you have $13K, buy or leave. I told them I drove one hour after confirming the final price. But they didnt listen. So, I had to go for the car for $13K. So I put in a deposit and got the receipt to buy the car with my friend on next business day. They agreed and took the deposit to reserve the car and hold it for me.I got a call that them on next day morning that they sold the car to some one who offered more than $13K. When I talked to them, they never bothered about my time, travel, agreement, customer service and deposit. They just behaved like an auction company. I never seen this behavior in any of other dealers in Illinois.Their names are Guan and Gene from Used car department. I am preparing a law suite against them for their cheating. So, I would recommend people to avpoid these scammers and do not waste your time and money.

I was looking for a low price SUV and found one on their website. I requested a quote and it came back with the price that was on the website. Good thing I decided to ask what special offers and incentives were included in this price. To make sure I would qualify for them before I drove the 30 miles to go look at this car. All she told me was to go back to the website and they are all listed on there. When I went back and found the place with this info there were 3 different incentives and a list of over 10 different special offers. I emailed Lynette back to find out which one's the quote was based on and she said the quote they gave me was based on all the incentives and special offers listed. I can't believe anyone would qualify for all of these. I find this misleading to the customer. I would need to be a Farmer who is an educator who was in the military. I bet there is not one person who would qualify for all of these. I would make sure you definitely do your research before heading to this dealer . Margaret

Don't buy a vehicle from this dealership. We bought a $30,000 truck three weeks ago and it was a dud!! It has a major computer wiring failure which causes an extremely annoying beeping sound to occur every two minutes. My husband has taken this dud of a truck into the dealership 5 times and wasted SO much time - they haven't fixed the problem! Worst of all, we have to drive this truck on our summer vacation for 3500 miles with that horrible beeping (what a dangerous distraction for our family of 4). If an accident were to happen, wow what a lawsuit!!! They wouldn't give us a loaner/rental vehicle for our trip!DONT TRUST this Libertyville Cheverolet dealership - you will end up with a dud vehicle and horrible customer service!!!

I entered Libertyville Chevrolet looking for new 2016 Suburban LTZ. Their web site had a number of vehicles listed, but only two met my color preference. I met with Zak Livas and Patrick Lopez and they informed me that unfortunately, neither was available at that time. We discussed what options and colors I was interested and the both expressed confidence they could find the car that would fit all my needs. Sure enough a few minutes later they were able to locate a few local available vehicle options for me.After what I feel was a pretty standard negotiation we finalized and agreed on a deal. Once paperwork was completed, I shortly later noticed an option on the vehicle that I (we) overlooked that did not meet my needs. Again, Zak and Patrick worked hard to find an alternate vehicle. They did and I took delivery of it just in time for a nice long family trip. Thanks to Patrick, Zak and the entire Libertyville Chevrolet team on getting me into my first brand new vehicle. It is an incredible truck! Shout out to Ray Magic Man Sullivan as well. He lent a helping hand too!!!!

Unethical Dealership! Worst customer service ever, would never buy a car from this dealership, would never even go back. Writing this review so hopefully others avoid doing business here as well. The manager Zach Livas will lie to your face and not honor their deals. Visited the dealership this weekend to buy a car. Went through the normal back and forth and finally ended on a price. My husband and I stepped out for a minute to discuss and when we returned we notified the sales guy we wanted to complete the deal. At that time they said the deal was off the table. It was literally 2 minutes later. Spent another hour or so listening to him come up with millions reasons why the deal was no longer good all which were a complete joke and insult. At one point he asked if i was following him like I'm a moron. Worst customer service ever!! The kicker was when we got an email later that listed the car at $6,000 less than we started with at the dealership. He couldn't explain this, and eventually said they send out emails with prices that have "all incentives in them". When i asked ok what are those incentives and please apply them. He told me we didn't qualify, but couldn't explain what the incentives were and why we didn't qualify. This dealership is a COMPLETE JOKE!!! My last 6 cars have all been Chevy's. I understand the game they play, however this was not the game this was complete BS. After dealing with the worst dealership in town I decided to take my business elsewhere. Their loss. I bought a car at the Chevy Exchange in Lake Bluff instead. This place had top notch customer service. I highly recommend this place even if it's a little farther from your place. You will not be disappointed.

Quick price comparison for anyone considering coming here for service.I needed a BCM replacement for my 02 Saturn L200, a very common issue.Libertyville Chevy - Part: $544, Four hours of labor: $611.80, Diagnostics: 152.95 (Ryan explicitly said this was $130 when I brought my car in). Total is $1308.75.After crosschecking with nearby GM dealers quotes:Jennings Chevrolet - Part + Labor 2hrs + Tax: $548.01Anthony Auto Group: Part + Labor 2hrs + Tax: $774.99Bottom line - If you want a straightforward and fair price without lies, don't go here!Details:Went to Apex Autowork Mundelein. The mechanic there spent his time diagnosing my vehicle and discovered I had a bad BCM, but that he couldn't repair it because it had to be reprogrammed, something only a Saturn Service Center can do. I asked him how much he wanted for his time and he said nothing because he couldn't fix it! He said this was pretty normal with the saturn l200s, and that it would be 450-700 to repair.I did some reading online and found that just about every price people were quoted was in that range, none more than $800.But then I went to Libertyville Chevy to get the repair done. First, they need to do diagnostics. Ryan told me this was $130.00 flat, and that this would go towards the repairs. After dropping my car off, an hour later I get a call back from Ryan. He told me they wanted $1308.75 for the repairs.I went two days later after not letting them rip me off. That's when they hit me with the increased charge for the diagnostics. When I asked why their quote was well over double their competitors, they said they required more hours. Then I asked if they use the same database as other GM service centers. They said yes. Why was their estimate double their competitor's then? The reply, 'our mechanic has worked on them for 27 years and estimated the repair at 4 hours.' So do they use a database or not? Just lies all the way through. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. THEY WILL HOLD YOUR CAR FOR RANSOM WITH INFLATED QUOTES AND DIAGNOSTIC FEES! I the money they took from me could have gone to the hard working mechanic at Apex!

After shopping around for a while and looking at many dealers, everything led back to libertyville Cheverlet. I saw the great reviews and took a leap of faith. As soon as we arrived and parked, Miguel saw us and came to greats with a genuine smile and hospitality. Right off the bat we told him what we were looking for and and what price range we wanted to be in. We told him I found the car I was wanted through cars.com and he went to work. Miguel made the whole process of buying a car quick and painless. He took us step-by-step through everything and with all the questions we had. He took the time to listen and explain everything thoroughly. Even the person who helped us finalize the payments (I'm sorry but I do not remember his name) did a great job! I had a horrible experience from the word go with this dealership. I made an appt a day earlier to come look at a 2014 acadia noting that i lived almost 2 hours away, when i was about 15 mins away they called to confirm my appt which i confirmed. i got there and they told the car sold, and the salesman mike lanee tried to get me to look a cars not even close to what i wanted, as i was about to leave he pulled up with the acadia i came to look at and said one of the employees was driving it that week. it was dirty and have equipment in, what did i make an appt for then? i should have left but really like the car so i stayed and agreed on a price to buy it and trade in my old car, after 4 hours went by and alot of bumbling around by my salesman who acted like he had never sold a car before we were ready to sign papers. I went in to sign papers and noticed right before i was going to sign that they had inflated the sale price. I asked them about it and after a few talks with the sales people they printed up new papers so we started again. This time when i was ready to sign again i noticed they dropped my trade in value by 2000 dollars, again i called them out on it and after another round of rude people who seemed mad i caught them they redrafted the papers. A third time i went to sign paper and noticed a 500 dollar charge and asked about it and they without any consent put nitrous in the tires and etched the vin in the window and charged me 500 dollars for it. I told them im not paying it, so eventually they dropped it and after 6 hours i signed papers and drove away still missing paperwork about the warranty. I called the next day and told a manager named greg about the experience and he told me "i dont see the problem here, from what i see you got a great car at a great deal and great trade in value" Really, no problem with this! This place gives car salesmen bad names, had i not paid attention i would have got worked over, how many other hard working people have got worked over without knowing it "with not seeing a problem" Im still considering the bbb for a complaint as i dont want this to happen to good people!

Called ahead and made an appointment. Was greeted immediately and was looking at the vehicle within 5 minutes. After a short test drive I stated my offer, which was agreeably a little low... to my surprise they made me an offer I couldn't turn down. No real pressure, and the guys I dealt with were more relaxed than sales-guyish, which I totally appreciated. I feel I got a lot for what I paid.

From the moment I walked in the front door I was greeted by Anthony P. Outside and Gene K. Inside I could see immediately this was not your "run of the mill" dealership. After meeting Gene and just talking a couple of minutes, I knew what this guy was made of right away and I really liked it. It turns out I was Dead on.........this is the type of guy that won't take advantage of you but give you the shirt off his back. At the end of the day that's exactly what he did. Anthony bent over backwards to find the exact vehicle I needed or wanted......not just what they had at this store. Anthony really had his work cut out for him to turn an upside down deal coming in, getting me into a newer vehicle and lowered my payments, Gene saw to it their excellent service department had that vehicle just the Way he would want it before it left their lot! Walking out the door it was VERY obvious I not only met some very nice people but found a dealership that was more interested in repeat customers and not driven by playing games and picking your pockets. You have to stop in and see for yourself. There is no dealership around that you will walk away from and not only know they really appreciate your business but will see to it your treated like family whenever you stop in. I dealt with Gene and Anthony.....you can ask for anybody to help you. Every single person in the dealership treats you as you would want to be treated. CHECK OUT LIBERTYVILLE CHEVROLET!!!Best of luck guys!G.G. Lindenhurst

I initially talked to Kierra Banks who's a wonderful rep that listened to my situation and got me in to speak with someone asap. I had been to another dealership that didn't give me nearly as much information, but pressured me into giving up my money before I knew what the outcome would be. I spoke with John B. at Libertyville Chevrolet who explained everything to me in a way that I understood. I came with special circumstances that would require special approval. He explained the process, had me look at a car, ran the numbers, and had me out of there in no time. Although I have to wait to find out if I'll be able to purchase a vehicle, John gave me all the information I needed to feel confident and he didn't take advantage of an odd circumstance. Thank you Kierra Banks for getting me in the door. You and Libertyville Chevrolet are doing a wonderful job with making and keeping customers happy. I'd recommend you guys to anyone.

I called and talked to Sarah. I explained to her my whole situation. Currently in Chapter 13 bankruptcy. She told me what I needed to do. Was very patient and understanding and never once did I feel judged. I came into the dealership and worked with Alex in sales. We picked out a vehicle that I liked and he gave me everything I needed. 3 weeks later I called and talked to Sarah again. She remembered me specifically! I made an appointment to come back in because I got the letter and I was in and out of there with my new (to me) 2014 Malibu in 2 hours! The best dealership experience I have ever had! I have been to several during the bankruptcy process. None of the others want to deal with the whole process. Sarah and Alex were very helpful!

Libertyville Chevrolet is not your ordinary car dealership by any means, I was treated like a valued customer from the moment I walked into the showroom.Everyone was very nice, polite, friendly and worked with me to give me the car I really wanted at a fair deal. That was very important to me.Kudos to Dogan Gregory for being an amazing, kind, and considerate salesman. He really made my car buying experience amazing!! Libertyville Chevrolet is fabulous..... She was very polite and courteous in answering all of my questions and providing me with a price on the exact Spark I wanted. She even insisted they would help me locate one (I was looking for that weird purple color that most dealerships don't have!). I have had terrible experiences at MANY dealerships and Sarah made me comfortable from the start! My Spark should be arriving at the dealership any day now and I look forward to finishing up the process. From the few people I spoke with- it seems the entire staff is as helpful and friendly as Sarah!

Patrick, Greg, and the entire sales team at Libertyville Chevy are great! I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado High Country and got a fair price with additional services and benefits that are above and beyond. They have free oil changes and car washes like other dealerships, but they also add LIFETIME TIRES. I went to multiple dealerships and pricing was similar (for the record, Greg beat pricing from other dealerships), but the added benefits make Libertyville Chevy better than nearby options in Antioch, Gurnee, Lake Bluff, or Wheeling. If you need a vehicle, ask for Patrick, he was great! Helpful, respectful, and was open to emailing me with answers to questions.

DO yourself a favor and shop elsewhere first, you will save money.I was in there to look at a lease first they offered me $1000.00 for my trade in got 4500.00 for trade in fox lake they then tried to lease a Colorado for 600.00 for 10,000/mi. lease was able to lease a loaded Silverado for 335.00same lease terms. Its is really sad when you have to travel out of your local area to get a GM at a fair price. We have purchased 2 cars here in the past but this Dealer has changed and not for the better. My wife left her car there to be detailed for three days when she got it back it was still dirty. Purchased a low mileage used car, played the game for a final price. We all need to eat so it was what it was.I took an extended service plan and 'gap' coverage. It was a pressure sell, but I knew it could be cancelled. So less than a week later I went into the dealership and cancelled the plans and made sure I received a copy of the cancellation. I was told by the not so happy finance guy it'd take a few weeks to process. Almost a year later I got around to checking for the applied credit $2500.. It never happened, finance company said dealer sent them a check for $1100 four months after I cancelled and that was it.. I called dealer numerous times because messages where never returned. I spoke to Philip (financial mgr?) once he heard my issue it was 2 weeks before I could track him down again. Where's my $1400?! He passed it on to someone else and was waiting for someone higher up to sign the check owed to me.. That was 10 days ago... Not a word... So I've been fortunate to pay interest on their year long delay.. Unreal, something so simple for everyone. They hide like squirrels. The service guys and department are fine to deal with, but I gotta tell you, this ongoing bs has left a bad taste in my mouth. I can only wonder if owner(ship) sets the stage for these actions.. My next, Cruze, Suburban, and Corvette purchases will probably not be happening here. Please be careful and WATCH financial department!!

I have spoken several times with Briana Mesick of the sales team and have been immensely impressed with the thoroughness of her information. Buying a car can be a daunting experience and I have never, before now, purchased a used vehicle. Other dealerships with which I worked seemed to be less than forthcoming about the condition of their inventory on intake, what type of coverage they provide, etc. Brianna answered every single question with the aplomb of a seasoned professional. The first bad experience involved them selling us a certified pre-owned chevy car, and it turned out it was NOT chevy certified pre-owned. We found out from another dealership that it was never certified. Secondly, they will list their prices on line with ALL rebates included, however you can only really apply for a few rebates at most. It is a total bait and switch program. Finally, both times we went in there we went in for a specific car, yet we were ALWAYS pushed to a car we didnt want. Both experiences have left a horrible taste, I would not use them, look for other dealerships in the area to purchase your car.

I was set up for a VIP appointment and upon coming into the dealership was greeted by a salesman, Omar. Again, very polite and efficient. He helped me find the right vehicle that had the options I need, but also kept in my budget. Libertyville Chevrolet offers exceptional service and more than competitive pricing. I am a repeat customer due to the fairness experienced during the negotiation phase. My most recent experience throughout a long and anxious ordering processed has been pleasant partially thanks to Sarah Dawson frequent updates. She is a consummate professional and an asset to the dealership.

Want to give Brett Simonides, Service Consultant a big "shout out" and bigger THANK YOU!I went in for a Recall and Brett advised me that there should be some additional service performed. He advised and consulted me in a very professional manner. I declined the additional service at that time, but did return the next day to have the service completed. I will return to Libertyville Chevrolet if I ever need any additional service!!

I wish I could give Libertyville Chevy NEGATIVE stars. The service there has gone completely down hill. I had been going there for nearly 8 years with no issues at all. As a matter of fact, when I bought a Buick, I started taking it there. I was always quite pleased with their service when the Service Department was run by Giaco Ruffolo. I learned he left about 3 months ago and it completely shows. These guys are crooks. NO ONE should go there. My Buick was towed there because the throttle body failed. I chose to have the tow entered as a line item on my bill because there was a lot going on and I was still trying to settle down from having the car die on me in the middle of the road. They upcharged me 30% for the tow that they had nothing to do with. I called the tow company, not them. Then they "found" $4,000 worth of work needed on the car. Really? for a vehicle that has 43,000 miles on it? It doesn't matter to me that the car is out of warranty by time. Nothing major should go wrong at 43,000 miles. Magically after much back and forth, the prices came down. I only got done what needed to get done to get my car out of there. I was insulted several times by my service consultant. I called GM for some help in this matter. They are no better. They do not stand behind their products. They have the dealer deal with the customer. I will be going back to my friends at Honda/Acura at my first opportunity.

I Bought my car from this place. The buying experience was fine and my car runs very well. I got a package for 2yrs free oil change. Upon getting my 1st oil change, I was told that only the 1st one was free, even though I asked about the 2 free yrs twice. I faithfully got my maintenance done at the dealership. I went in for an oil change one month after the 2yr mark. The service guy ran my information through the system and I was casually told that my 2yr free oil change had expired. WHAT??!?!?! They check warranties and packages EVERY time a car is brought in for service. You expect me to believe that this service guy was the only one who saw that I was supposed to be getting free oil changes for 2 years??? I was then told there was nothing they could do. They couldnt refund my money from the past 2 yrs, even though payment was clearly recorded. They also would not extend the package to the next 2 yrs. No apology, no nothing. After throwing a complete fit the service manager said he would see what he could do. I even had to pay for the oil change THAT DAY! The manager NEVER called me back; I could NEVER get him on the phone. After 2 wks, I had to go out of my way, to the dealership and stand in front of his desk. Suddenly he had instant information for me. He emailed GM, and GM didnt respond. So the only thing the owner would offer is giving me 4 yrs of every other oil change being free, in order to force me to go to this dealership for the next 4yrs. Now, every time I go, I have to re-explain this to whatever service guy I get, because they still havent put this Special Note in my file that THEY SCREWED UP!!!!! So now I look like someone who just trying to get free oil changes. Plus it adds 20 extra minutes of me waiting for them to try and figure out whats going on. Every single time they say theyll call me to let me know how this is going to be handled from now on, and they NEVER do, theyve NEVER ONCE called me for any type of update. The only reason I have 1 star is because the men are always very nice, but niceness doesnt count for much when you dont honor your word. If you buy a car from this place, and they dangle a service package in front of you, make SURE you have the guy write down, in laymans terms, EXACTLY what your warranties and packages cover. Then have him SIGN it, and stuff it in the glove compartment and pull it out whenever you have a discrepancy. Dont let them touch your car. DONT SETTLE FOR THE SERVICE MANAGER!!! Make them bring the man out of the show room and into the repair shop if you have to, and have him fully explain it. Or else, like me, you might have to fight tooth and nail for only half of what you signed up for!

I feel completely taken advantage of.My 2003 Saturn Ion wouldn't start so I had to get it towed to Libertyville Chevrolet. My service advisor was Steve Baker. They ran a diagnostic and told me I needed a new battery and that the total (including the diagnostic fee) was $407. I knew this was high but I didn't have much of a choice because the car wouldn't start so I couldn't drive it to another lot for a better price. I told him to do the work so they cleaned and secured the terminals, replaced the battery, and this fixed the problem. I go to pay and the total was $449.56.$449.56 for a new battery.Libertyville Chevrolet, I hope you make a change. Instead of feeling happy that you fixed my car, you left me feeling humiliated that I chose you.

First off, do not walk into the front doors unless you have done your research! They will absolutely rip you off if you give them the chance! I purchased a used car here which was WAY overpriced and told them so. It took 3 visits and talking to several managers before they agreed on a price that was FAIR. I also had a trade in on a 2011 Nissan Rogue and they offered me $900 less than what was due on the pay-off amount. I agreed to pay it (knowing that I shouldn't have) and they gave me $13,000 for my trade in...they now have it listed on their website for $21,995 and there was NO damage to the car. I understand that they need to make a profit and they are a business but $9,000 is not just a profit...especially when they made me pay $900 on my trade in! Not to mention that BRAND NEW 2014 Rogues are going for just over $21,000!!!! I can say with confidence that I will never use their dealership again and will make sure that I left everyone I come into contact know how they do business. Taking advantage of customers is NOT good business!

I purchased a car and paid for the "Certification" which wasn't cheap, it was not certified, I have a "we owe" ticket for a manual and extra key, which I have neither. I emailed the Manager and have received nothing in return. No call back, nothing. I called and texted the sales man(Tomas) numerous times to hear- "Let me check with Jose" EACH time, and NEVER heard back. Will never do business here again, even though they say I have maintenance and oil changes for the next 2 years, I won't waste my time there. I had to take it back 3 times in the first month of having it for things they "forgot" to take care of. I am tired of dealing with them, and took the "fool me once..." attitude and chalk this up to a loss. There will be no fooling me twice with this establishment. I thought it was a nice buying experience until it came to getting things they said they would get me. Sad

Do Not buy from this dealership! I purchased a new car from the dealership and traded in my old one. They were suppose to pay off the car that I traded in by 08/26. It is now 09/08 and the check was never sent to the bank from my previous loan causing my back account to be debited from the previous car that I no longer even have. I am now missing $400 from my account and have to jump through hoops to get everything straightened out. This is absolutely ridiculous. A simple transaction that is made multiple of times a day at a dealership could not be taken care of properly. I called the dealership and I was suppose to have a check for the issue by 09/02 its now 09/08 my account is racking up late fees because I cannot pay bills.

This would be the 4th or 5th store we've been into a dealership this month and it's the same thing over and over again, either they don't have the car, or the car we came to see had some unwanted equipment and force you to buy it. Tim helped us throughout and was very thorough, he couldn't get us the price we wanted, but gave us more for our trade than we expected and after the time he and his manger put in, we wanted to buy from him. The only question was financing which can be rough process, Rob Punzalan, the finance mgr who finalized our paperwork couldn't have made it anymore easier, he was competitive on the APR, we upgraded the warranty and the signing began. When we were done, he wrote his contact numbers and one of the phone numbers he gave us was his personal mobile numbers too, And welcomed us to call him should we need any help in the future with anything.. Iam in sales too, and I don't give out my personal phone #!! Everyone was great and I will be recommending this dealership!

My husband and I both got our vehicles from this dealership. The first problem we had was they told my husband he gets a $100 incentive because he reffered me there. They took down our address, and never sent it. We took a co worker of mine(were both in the military) to look into him getting a vehicle. Right off the bat the man, I believe his name was tim, was kind of rude. My friend took the car he was interested in for a test drive, and the guy brought him inside to talk numbers. This man who worked there was sitting g in front of him on his cell phone texting (highly inappropriate) and constantly went to check on "something", for about 45minutes. They offered NO discount at all! You would think there's something that could have been done for a service member but apparently not. All together it was horrible service, and we ended up going to another dealership, and not only did my friend get his car there for a steal, I traded in my used vehicle for a brand new one for only a little more money and MUCH lower interest rate (more than half less!) The Libertyville Chevy is not worth the time, I do NOT recommend it.

My wife and I went car shopping at Libertyville Chevy in Libertyville last Monday to look for a new vehicle. We were greeted by a Young guy named Carlos, who made us feel comfortable at the showroom and he showed us around and guided us through the available cars there.I must say that this was my best car shopping experience ever. The salesman was very informative and he was answering very question of ours patiently, respectfully and with all the professional courtesy. He is definitely an asset to the dealership. Nowadays, it commonly seen that car salesmen just dont do enough good job and their only objective is to get money out of your wallet. But, salesman like Carlos delivers an incredible service and gives a very pleasant experience. This was the fourth car we bought from your dealership and we will be coming to your showroom for the years ahead.Regards,Sohail HussainCell: 847 274 5525

Dennis was very helpful and answered many questions that my previous Chevrolet dealer failed to explain to me. I finally felt comfortable in a dealership - like my cares and concerns actually mattered. Dennis was very friendly and personable. Additionally, I was in a rush to get back to work and Dennis assured my that I would be on my way in plenty of time. When my car wash took a little longer than necessary, he came outside to check on me while I was waiting for my vehicle to be returned and made an extra effort to have the porter bring me my vehicle quickly.

I signed up on yelp just to let all customers or potential customers know how bad the customer service and experience I had at Libertyville Chevrolet. As a business owner I was appalled by the care I had received. I encourage anyone who reads this brief statement to continue on and hear my horror story at this dealership and why you should not go near this place. My story spans 6 days which started on a Saturday (March 8th) concerning a 2013 Tahoe. I called into the store and spoke with Sarah who scheduled an appointment with Don for 5:00 PM. I drove 40 minutes from Arlington Heights to their store and was not welcomed by anyone at the front. After waiting several minutes I'm informed that the salesman Don was in another meeting but someone else could help me. In comes Anthony, who was a bit nice and tried to let me know that he could provide assistance. After 20 minutes, Anthony continues to look for the vehicle I was supposed to look at. He then informs me that the owner of the dealership decided to take the vehicle I was scheduled to look at. At this point I'm utterly confused...The owner of the dealership takes a vehicle that a customer was scheduled to look at? Luis, Anthony's boss, then comes out and tells me that they will bring the vehicle to my house on Monday (March 10th) for me to see at home around 5:30 pm. They also say it's routine practice for them to do this... and I accept the offer.Monday March 10th: I leave work early and pick my children up from child care so I can meet Anthony at my home so I can see the Tahoe. On the drive home I call Luis at Libertyville to double check our appointment and he informs me that Anthony is on PTO and the vehicle won't be arriving at my home. I tell Luis I left work early, which impacts my productivity, to see a vehicle they said would come to my house. He apologizes and says he will contact me during the week to follow up.Wednesday March 12th: As I drive home around 5:30, I decide to call Luis as I haven't heard anything from him. After several failed attempts of reaching him, he finally gets on the phone and tells me that they are getting the vehicle detailed and will try and have it to my house in the next few days. Great! ...Friday March 14th: I begin calling their dealership around 2:00 pm. and didn't have any luck getting a hold of Luis. Finally around 5:30 I manage to speak with him and he informs me that GE corporate visited their dealership today. The owner of Libertyville Chevrolet was schmoozing them and showing them around. As a favor to GE Corporate the owner decided to sell the Tahoe to his corporate buddy. As you can imagine, I was a bit upset. I inform Luis that I am utterly disappointed with the service I've received. Being new to the area this was a huge disappointment and I would never treat my customers like this. After voicing my concerns he offered to provide some free service to my vehicle which I politely declined. I also told him I am going on social media to inform all customers of my experience and they need to improve their internal processes dramatically.I encourage anyone who reads this never to step foot near their dealership. Highly unprofessional and utterly disappointing... If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I would definitely buy from Libertyville Chevrolet again, but never again on a Saturday. The place was very busy, not enough sales people for the amount of customers. The process went very smoothly until the financing portion, and the wait began. Customer Service was excellent, facilities are very nice. Rate of financing topped my preapproved rate from my local credit union, so I decided to finance through them. Total time at dealership was 5 hours, with at least 3 of those hours sitting and waiting after the deal was done. It was worth it, got a great van for a great price. There is a reason this dealership is so busy, I highly recommend them.

Got a quote from their online IT people. Very good price. Verified from the online people that the quote they gave me was correct. They responded that the Manager said it was a correct price. Drove 30 minutes to talk to a salesman, he quoted thousands more. I asked to talk to the manager. After showing the email with the price he says that the online dept. always makes mistakes and he would not honor the price they quoted. Total bait and switch..

This is the most DISHONEST dealership I have ever been to! They got me to come almost 20 miles from my home to see a car they never had there in the first place, and then tried to sell me something else! When I called a short time later to complain, they hung up on me and then wouldn't answer when I called back! This dealership is completely UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! I went across the street after leaving Scammer Chevrolet to the Libvle. Autoplaza and met some awesome guys who put no pressure on me, don't stalk me calling me 10 times a day like Libvle. Chevrolet did, and best of all, they treated me with respect!!! This dealership needs help with how they treat a customer!!!

As any Saturn owner knows, it can be difficult to find a place to service your car. There aren't any places close to me, but I have found a dealer that knows my Saturn and was very accommodating even though I have to travel quite a ways to get there. My Saturn VUE had a recall and I had the vehicle in a year ago to address the recall. GM recommends trying a "reset" first. That did not work and I had to bring the vehicle back in. Unbeknownst to me, there is a time limit on the recall even though the expiration isn't until 2014. Stu Silver went above and beyond, working with his manager and with GM to find a way to get my vehicle recall fixed with a replacement part at no charge. As a customer service rep myself, I truly appreciate when other businesses know the meaning of customer service! Thanks, Stu, for your help in the matter of my Saturn VUE recall issues!

My first new car purchase in over ten years and what a great experience. Yes I did my homework on line and then bought at Libertyville Chevrolet. Denny the salesman is a true professional who knows how to treat a customer right and give the customer what they want like the right car, the right options and a great price. Even after the sale was complete Denny was there to explain how all the features of the car work and if later I have any questions he will be glad to answer them or get someone who can. I had a very pleasant experience throughout the whole transaction. After my new vehicle purchase; professionalism, knowledge of product and desire to achieve customer satisfaction shine through with this dealership. The sales staff and this dealership deserve a top rating because the whole transaction was flawless from start to finish. All the local dealerships had the same car but I chose to buy at Libertyville and would do so again.

I purchased a used car for my self and had alot of problems with the transmission the second day I had it. If it was not for GMAC getting involved I would of been very lost. The dealership made it good and I was allowed to chose a different used car that worked out. I trusted them again and I encouraged my son to visit them for his purchase and was this a big mistake. The transmission went bad before we made the first payment and they put a used transmission in and made us pay half. $1000. The then the transmission they put in was leaking on the clutch and ruined it and now they want $1700 to replace the clutch. I have spoke to the Manager John Shaw and he does not care he said I am on my own. I really don't think he liked my son. I called for the owner and as of now I have not received any call backs. I am not looking into legal advice to see if there is any way we can settle this. I am so dissapointed, there is nothing worse than someone taking $12,000 of your money and not care whether you are happy with your purchase.I am 54 yrs old and the rumors have been around for years that you can never trust a used car saleman, I am so sorry to say these sales people are the reason these rumors still exist. My son and I struggle with this economy like everyone else and we do not have credit cards to put these charges on so we are with out a car and still owe the loan company that they own $12,000.................

My wife and I had been putting off buying a new car because we did not want to deal with high pressure sales men at a dealership. But much to our suprise, when we visited Libertyville Chevrolet. We first talked to Mr. John Pondell, who was super nice and did an excellant job showing us the differenced in the vehicles we were interested in. It didn't take us long to decide what we wanted. John captured our interest on a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox that had all of the features we were looking for and at a great price. After filling out some paper work, we left very excited to contact our credit union for the necessary financing. (We choose our credit union because we had been members over 40 years and that's just where we like to get financing.) However, owing to Mr. Pondell was going on vacation, he arranged to have Mr Speros Daglas meet us and finish the transaction on Saturday when we returned with our check. Mr. Daglas was remarkable too! He introduced us to many of the other managers at the dealership and even escorted us out to a cook out in the parking lot for lunch. After lunch, we met with Mr. Daniel Martino, who helped us finish up the paper work, and presented us with new license plates for the vehicle. Everything was mooving along so smoothly, we were very suprised. Once finished with that, Mr. Daglas met us again, had the plates installed, took us to the parts department and introduced us to Art Ruiz and outlined what to do if we need to order parts or accessories. After that, Mr. Daglas took a great deal of time to orient us with our new Equinox, explaining all of the features, controls, OnStar, radio settings, and everything we needed to know to get on the road. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. My wife and I would like to thank everyone at Libertyville Chevrolet for being so kind and courteous to us and for making our purchase so easy and memorable.

Alyssa in the internet dept was very nice and tried to be helpful. However, when it came time to talk numbers Bruce got on the phone. Now, for a little background, I am an out of state buyer (450 miles), and had a friend that lives closer than the 450 miles that I do, take a look at the car. He took time out of his day to dome a favor, and he found some minor issues with the car. However, when I brought them up to Bruce, he told me not to worry about things like cracked fog lamps, that on a car with miles (less than 30K) that was normal. My current car with 93K has perfect fog lamps, BTW. He said the cracks were insignificant. He was like this for every issue I brought up about the car. Again, none of them super big deals, but he essentially called me stupid for bringing them up. He was a very stereotypical Used Car Salesman. He was very condescending, rude, and cocky. Then Alyssa called me back to try to still work out a deal, even after Bruce told me not to bother working the numbers. Apparently, Alyssa is a better sales person than Bruce. Anyway, then they tell me that the price on the car was actually going up, but they would knock $300 off for me if I still wanted it. I made an offer and they said they would get right back to me. They never called back. Needless to say, I will not be buying a car from them. I would avoid this dealership at all costs, unless you want to be degrades, humiliated, treated like dirt, and like to play lots of typical used car games.

We felt the staff (both Bruce and Jose, the finance mgr.) made every effort to accommodate our needs. We were very satisfied with our choice of vehicle and price.I am looking forward to a long relationship with them and would not hesitate to tell friends and family about Libertyville Chevrolet. I am also looking forward to the free washes and lifetime tire replacement!

I have been going to Libertyville Chevrolet since before Jim Spellman took over the dealership. Jim Spellman always greets me personally when I visit Libertyville Chevrolet. I purchase 2-3 cars a year, every year, from Libertyville Chevrolet. I purchase everything from Impala, Camaro, Tahoe, Silverado, Corvettes, etc. New and used. Cars are an important part of my life for business and pleasure. And the consistency in Libertyville Chevrolet's professionalism and their ability and willingness to cater to my automobile buying needs is top rate!I just purchased a brand new Corvette convertible yesterday (2-22-12) and as usual, it was a great and fun experience. I walked in at 9:00 in the morning and told my salesman (Keith Gunning) the type of Corvette I wanted to buy. They did not have the exact Corvette I wanted in stock but Keith told me not to worry because he would locate one for me and get it to Libertyville Chevrolet so I could purchase the vehicle. And he was true to his word! He located the exact Corvette I was looking for at another Chevrolet dealership and he went there personally to pick it up and bring it back to Libertyville Chevrolet. We did the paperwork and by 5:00 in the evening that very same day, I drove out of Libertyville Chevrolet in the exact brand new Corvette that I wanted. IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!!!!!!

I just purchased an amazing used vehicle from this dealer. I've been searching the internet for quite awhile and one of the vehicles I had on my radar screen was a Chevy Tahoe. The vehicle is in excellent overall condition, the dealership treated me with respect, and specifically the salesman Frank was very nice. Other places I'd visited were a much worse experience. After 15 minutes I really wanted to get a deal done with Frank in comparison to other salesmen I've met lately. So we got it done, they delivered on everything I've asked for with this purchase. I will be recommending this dealership to any friends who are in the market for a new or used vehicle. Very pleased with my experience at this dealership. A++++

We walked in to Libertyville Chevy looking for a bigger car with more features because we have a baby on the way. We were instantly greeted by Elana, who was very friendly and asked exactly what brought us in today. After giving a detailed description of what we were looking for and the price range we wanted to stay in, she found us a few great cars to test drive! We ended up finding a car we liked with more features then we expected, but still at a great price! So we bought! The staff was all so friendly and we are 100% satisfied with our purchase!

When I pulled in, being a local to Libertyville, I was expecting great customer service, and fair pricing, knowing it's libertyville I knew they wouldn't allow any lowballing. Looking for a Camaro, I simply asked a salesman who immediately came to me outside if they had any pre-owned Camaros, and he coldly said no, while talking on the phone which who seemed to be a friend, not an important call and he didn't get off the phone for about 7 minutes while I was waiting to ask him questions. After asking him questions, and then looking at the pricing on their Camaros, they were way above retail value, about 5k over, and didn't care to work with me when they knew I was looking for a pre-owned. I'm very dissapointed, but what else should I expect, Libertyville townspeople all believe they are too high end, relax you guy's don't live in Wilmette or Lake Forest.

I have personally bought two cars with Libertyville Chevrolet. I specifically worked with Keith Gunning, a salesman, when buying both cars. Both experiences were GREAT ones. I have also had four different friends/family members who purchased cars from Keith at Libertyville Chevrolet, one of which I recently referred to him myself. I can't say how comforting it is to go into a car dealership and deal with a car salesman who truly does everything he can to get you in the car you want and makes sure you are happy, without feeling the pressure to buy something just so a sale is made. Keith really worked with me both times to find the car that was right for me. Not only that, but even after the sale was made both times, I've been able to contact him with any questions or concerns and he is always there to help, even years after the cars were purchased. The customer service is great and I could not be more happy with my overall experiences with Keith. I can honestly say I will never go to another salesman when purchasing a car and would refer any friend or family member to Libertyville Chevrolet and specifically Keith Gunning.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealer. This place goes back to the dark ages when dealerships(stealerships) worked to earn their reputation. I'd rather walk than buy anything from this place.

We wanted to purchase a new Traverse. Libertyville Chevrolet found one at another dealership. We negotiated on a price, placed a small down payment and were told they would have it in a couple of days as long as it was not sold yet. We had a big storm 2 days later and many towns lost power for days. We patiently waited assuming they lost power. Eleven days later we got a call saying that the car we wanted was sold and they found another one somewhere else except it had a $1400 option we did not want. We said fine as long as we are not paying for it. They offered to split the cost with us but we said we would call back after my wife discussed it with me. He wanted an answer ASAP since a driver was waiting to pick the car. Something didn't add up so I searched the internet for the Vin# of the Traverse that we agreed on. It showed that it was still available.I called the dealership that supposedly had the car and it had NOT been sold. I was lied to! This was not the only lie I was told. This went on for many days. At one point we agreed to buy the car with the extra option that they offered to split. Then they told us they can't split it anymore. I asked for my down payment back at this point. A week after asking for my down payment back I still have not had it credited. Luckily I used a credit card. Now I will dispute the charge and get my money back.In short don't deal with Libertyville Chevrolet! There are plenty of other Chevrolet dealers around.

After doing research I went to Libertyville Chevrolet expecting to get the car I wanted with the options at the price determined by Internet pricing. They could not find the vehicle but could put me in the vehicle with more options at a higher price, not what I wanted. I called a competitor asking for the car I wanted and had the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted. No issue. This experience was not a favorable one. Recommend other area Chevy dealers.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Cruze, I traded in a car and the finance department screwed up major with the payoff. I would suggest that if you go here the salesmen are awesome but get your financing done before you go here. No One called me to tell me they needed a clearer copy of a drivers licences, so my payoff was sent late, causing my old loan amount to be taken out of my account. This was fixed, and I was refunded money, but this should not have happened in the first place. I did not like the attitude of the finance guy that I dealt with during the purchase of the car. Manny whom fixed the situation was really nice. John T. who was my salesman was absolutely fantastic.

One of our trade ins was a the vehicle we purchased from Keith new back in 2006 and had very good luck with.We had another great experience and they were patient with us while we test drove many cars (in terrible weather) to try and find the combination of vehicles and financing that would fit our present needs and budget. They ended up meeting all our needs and with the help of Andrew, Manny and Jose the deal was completed in a timely manner.Great job guys! we will be back.

Totally impressive! I was given information concerning price and incentives from my first online query to follow-up phone conversations. This made it easy for me to think through my options before setting foot in the dealership. No mystery about what they could do for me. They had a car waiting for me to test drive and take home with all pricing information. The atmosphere of the dealership is calm and hospitable--no pushy people or loud music blaring. The sales team members are respectful, personable, and helpful. Absolutely a first-class operation that would recommend to anyone. I'm so happy with my car and the way I was treated.

I had bought a "certified" 2007 Chevy Tahoe from another Chevy dealership in Lake Bluff, Il, who were CHEATS!!! I discovered the Tahoe it had NOT been certified as advertised and told by sales mgr. Before I brought the truck , the dealership assured all issues, (uneven worn front tires changed out and issue causing this addressed, all fluids, filters & oil changed, etc), and certification would be taken care of. They lied.I called in a complaint to GM Exectutive Offices, who assured all issues would be addressed/investigated by another dealership. I agreed. Libertyville Chevrolet dealership was where I was to take my truck. On the day of my appointment at Libertyville Chevrolet, I was met by a "service writer" who was three months new to his job. I gave my list of the items that GM Exectutive Office wanted addressed/investigated by the this dealership. I showed him the front tires and uneven wear and bad tread. The service writter was an idiot. I requested for the service mgr., "Jacco" to call me. He never did. After they had my truck a few days, I was told all items were addressed and the truck was now certified. I observed the tires had not been switched out? The service writer said GM could not get the prior dealership to pay for the cost and the tires and were the same tires, but, the oil & filter were changed! GM serpentine belts are good for 100,000 miles and mine was fine, other filters were not changed, fluids for the 4WD were all fine and not to been changed for at least another 35,000 miles. GM Executive Offices passified me by wanting to issue three oil changes and three tire rotations to close complaint.Friends of mine with a tow company in town knew "Jacco" suggested I talk to "Jacco" about my concerns. I tried. He was always out of the office and I had requested by office staff to leave left a voice mail. I requested "Jacco" to call me, left a few messages for him. Never heard from him. After a few months an oil change was due not because of miles but of time past.I was met by ANOTHER new service writter, Mr Baker, who was awesome and seems to know his job. He informs me I need a new set of tires, change transmission & diferental fluids and need a new serpentine belt as mine is cracked??? He offered me a deal to repair all items. Unreal. After a couple months, I heard a really loud banging near the area of my front passenger side tire and the fire wall? I called Baker and dropped off my truck. I told him it didnt sound like a belt but was unsure what it was?Baker contacted me the next day told me it was the serpentine belt. I was not impressed with their know what a bad belt sounds like! This was more. I informed him how a few months ago, Libertyville Chevy had "certified" my Tahoe and I was told the belt was fine and good for 100,000 miles. He said it needed to be changed as it was worn and cracked and offered a deal on fluids and new tires again. I had him relace the belt for $270.00.At 7pm that night during a snow storm, I had one of my friends drop me off to pick up my Tahoe. I was issued my keys and told it was parked along a fence. I walked all over the parking lotin the dark, in a blizzard and now I walked all along the fence looking for my Tahoe. It wasnt there. I entered a fenced/closed area off the parking lot where I discovered my Tahoe parked? I started up my cold truck, pushed over a foot of snow off my Tahoe, put my truck in drive, drove it five feet and heard the same knocking and banging sound again!! They hadnt fixed my Tahoe. I was angry. I paid for a belt which I bet the belt was good. I tried to call "Jacco" who blew me off AGAIN. I wanted my money back.I took my truck home, put it in my garage and tried to find another dealership close by. There arent any. Most of the Chevy dealerships have closed.Later I took my Tahoe back to Libertyville Chevy. Baker called me. It was the rear differental (sp) that had gone out and prior to calling me, they began fixing it under the warranty the parts still had on it. When I picked it up, Baker now offered me a percentage off for fluids and new tires! Unreal.Oh, I got a call from Jacco! He was rude. Couldn't have been more unhelpful if he tried. Refused to give me my money back for the belt. Told me his machanics drive all the cars they service before and after and there was no way I didnt need a new serpentine belt. when asked what hie machanic was doing driving my Tahoe for four miles and never heard the knocking and banging caused by the rear differential going to heck, he said his "machanic didn't hear it." I tried to speak to the two owners of the dealership. One, Brett Matthews, was on spring break vacation and the other one, Jim Spellman, tried to call me back once. I returned his call, left a voice mail, he never called back. I spoke to GM Executive Offices, Mr Amois Keys, for resolution. I was offered three oil changes and three tire rotations!!! Note to self: don't buy a GM product then you'll never have to waste time and money with their dealerships or service departments.

I brought my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer in for a vibration. Not being a mechanic it is very hard to explain the problem I was feeling. Eric greeted me on the service drive and immediately got a technician available to me to explain my problem. Jeff Hein the technician was very attentive to my description of the problem. I was advised it was necessary to leave my vehicle and would be called within a few hours with a diagnosis. Within 2 hours I received a call from Eric that they had diagnosed my vehicle and ordered the parts necessary to fix it. The next day I picked up my vehicle and it has been great since!! Overall the experience was very good. We had met Rob Kesler at the Chicago Auto Show from Explorer Conversion Van. We had a 2002 conversion van and we knew we wanted a 2011 AWD 1500 Express Van. We liked Explorer quality workmanship and the sales people at th show were very attentive and informative. They told us to go to Libertyville Chervrolet to order exactly what we wanted and told us to contact John Pondell. Rob was in contact with John during the show. My wife wanted to drive one before we decided to order one. We had been thinking about downsizing but decided we really liked the ultimate space and with our lifestyle, it was still the best fit. Our old van was 2 wheel drive. My wife was very impressed with the AWD for performance, especially braking and swerve control. John was very attentive, informative about the products, let us have a long test drive (including finding some ice to drive on), and went through the order line by line. There was a slight issue with the overall height of the van and some miscommunication but that all got worked out through John and Explorer Van. When we took delivery of the van last Wednesday (March 2, 2011), it was perfect. John went through the van, explained the features and offered my wife and I to call him if we had further questions. Manny, in Finance, was also a real pleasure to work with. He explained all the warranty options and protective packages. We negotiated a deal that satisfied all of our needs. We kept our other Chevy van for 167,000 miles and we expect to keep this one just as long.Thank you for a very good experience. We have purchased other Chevrolet products from other dealers over the last 45 years and , right now, Libertyville Chevrolet has been the best experience overall. We met Steve Baker (Service Manager) and he was very friendly and welcoming too.Sincerely,Susan and Doug Allen

All of the employees treated my family and myself with respect. They listened to my concerns and appeared to bargain in good faith. They were friendly, knowledgable, and low pressure. They put $70 of fuel into the vehicle for me. My new van needed some minor service and they simply asked, "When can we get the van in and fix these issues for you?" I brought it in twice, and each time they provided a free loaner that was big enough to carry my family of 6. They followed up each visit with phone calls to make sure I was satisfied. I have had terrible experiences at two other Chevy dealers and my experience at Libertyville has been hands-down a good and enjoyable one.

I have given Libertyville Chevrolet the top rating in all categories. I have done this because once again, Libertyville Chevrolet has met or exceeded all of my expectations when I purchased my new 2011 Tahoe LTZ this past Friday (2-18-11).Why am I taking the time to write this review? Because for me, the ability to make my vehicle purchase a fun and hassle free experience is very important, especially in today's automobile environment. To be honest, I could buy a Chevrolet vehicle from more than a dozen Chevrolet dealerships in my geographical area. The vehicle would be the exact same no matter where I purchased it. But what is definitely not the same is the people at Libertyville Chevrolet who always treat me like I am the most important person every time I walk into the dealership. It doesn't matter if I am going in to purchase a new or used vehicle or going in to have one of my vehicles serviced. The friendly, professional service is always given to me time and time again. They make buying my vehicles a pleasant experience and the reason I am taking the time to write this review is because I have purchased 5 vehicles from Jim Spellman, the owner of Libertyville Chevrolet over the last 2 years. Keith Gunning has been my salesman and Manny Reyes took care of the financing. Also, Kevin Paddock has serviced some of the vehicles I own including upgrading my 2010 Camaro SS with some high end racing options. I feel that these people and this dealership deserve some recognition for the way they take care of me when I walk in the dealership, and how they make me feel that I can't wait until the next time I need to purchase another vehicle. And what is most impressive to me is that this great experience was not a one time thing, or it only happened because I happened to walk in on a good day. This professional and friendly treatment I get has happened every single time I visit Libertyville Chevrolet. I depend on the vehicles I own for personal and business use. I need a dealership staffed with knowledgeable, friendly people that will make my vehicle buying experience a smooth and memorable one. And that is exactly what I get at Libertyville Chevrolet. After all, buying a new vehicle should be fun and that's exactly what it is at Libertyville Chevrolet. They delivered in the past, they delivered this last weekend and I am sure they will deliver for me in the future. Thanks to all at Libertyville Chevrolet!Ron FriendLibertyville, IL

Manny and the sales manager were excellent to work with. We came in with a USAA quote from another dealership and with a bad taste in our mouth from that other dealership (Rockenbauch-grayslake IL) that we were considering going with a different brand all together. Manny was so easy to work with and willing to do what was necessary to honor the USAA price that we came back with the downpayment (11K) and even financed the remainder with GMAC instead of USAA finance (we were pre-approved with USAA at a comparable rate). The extra perks with the dealership (free tires for life) sold my wife on how dedicated Libertyville Chevy is to their customers and we even sprung for the extended warranty so all our service would be done at our preferred dealor. Libertyville Chevy should contact USAA and find out why they didn't come up on their preferred dealor list for military members, they definately deserve the 5 star rating. Again, Manny was easy and an excellent sales/finance associate and will get our business again when it is time for my new car later this year. Thank you,Daniel and Sherry Hadd

Andrew was also very helpful with teaching us how to use On star, which is a great feature to have in the car. Brad answered all the questions we had and made sure to keep in contact with us. I went into the service department on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. I was visiting family in the area and went searching for help with what I believed to be a leaking tire. Steve Baker addressed my issue immediately and I was on my way within the hour. He and the Service Tech were professional, courteous and expeditious. Job well done. It turned out that the tire was not damaged, just low. In fact they all were. Dan brought them all up to the proper inflation levels. Steve would not charge me for the work, even when I pushed it. He said that since they did not actually "fix" anything, he did not feel right about charging me. Honor and decency are sadly rare in the world of car dealer service departments. Fortunately, they are alive and well at Libertyville Chevrolet.

When I asked for a test drive, he did not hesitate to get the keys. The test drive was excellent, and I decided to think it over and returned another day with the parents. This was easily the most pleasant sales experience I've ever had. I walked in expecting a lot of pressure and games, and was thrilled to be wrong. The entire experience purchasing this car was really wonderful. The sales staff was very informative and also very patient in dealing with us, allowing us to really think over the decision and even staying after the dealership had closed to help seal the deal. All of this with incredibly nasty weather expected. John knew the vehicle very well and was able to easily answer any questions we had and was even able to compare it to the car that we had been driving. When it came time to purchase the vehicle, Andrew was very informative about the costs to install the after market products we asked about. We ultimately chose a car that didn't need the after market options, but did purchase an environment package that has not yet been installed.Overall I felt that we were treated fairly throughout the entire buying process and would definitely consider buying another vehicle from this dealership.

When any other dealership would've turned me away, they opened up their arms and took care of my every need. James was patient and courteous and he went as far as walking me through every possible option on the car down to describing how to setup my favorites on the radio and setting the time up correctly, this is what i call going the extra mile to service your customers needs. I am grateful for the professionalism and expertise of this group of people and I am ENJOYING every minute in my new Equinox. Thank You Libertyville Chevrolet, I look forward to driving my first 5000 miles to have an excuse of bringing my car in and experiencing the feel of the clean looking service department also.

This was the easiest process in terms of buying a car that I've ever had. First off these guys were not pushy at all. I was able to go at my own pace ask the questions I wanted and look at the cars I specifically asked to look at. There wasn't the typical well what sort of payment are you looking to stay at and then they walk you over to cars that are over priced and nowhere near what you were looking for. These guys got a great price for my trade in as well. Other dealers wanted to lowball my trade but they really stood up to the plate and offered what I thought was a very fair if not more than fair price. I got the car at what I felt was a fair price and in addition to that got a 1500 dollar rebate. These guys also had plates right at the dealership and were able to issue them straight away so I could avoid the painful process of going to the DMV. If your looking to purchase a new car do yourself a favor and at the very least go in and see Roger, Andrew, and Brad to see what they can do for you.

My recent has experience with Libertyville Chevrolet has been one of the best car buying experiences that I've ever had. The staff at Libertyville Chevrolet is excellent! Especially James Devasquez. He is knowledgeable, personable, and very helpful. He was there to answer questions when we needed him, but didn't pressure us to make a decision on the spot. I purchased a certified used Buick Enclave that was very compressively priced. I could not believe the amount of amenities that came with the vehicle, Free OnStar for three months, Free XM radio for three months, extended dealership warranty, free first oil change, and new license plates on the spot. (No driving around with temp tags!) By far, it was the best deal for that type of vehicle in the Chicagoland area. I highly recommend this dealership!

James was very helpful and friendly! He made me feel comfortable with my purchase. While I was signing papers and what not, Andrew came over to talk to us and make sure everything was going well. He was very helpful in answering any questions I had about the car I was buying. This was my first time buying a brand new car and I would absolutely recommend these guys to help anyone else who is a first time buyer. They made me feel 100% sure about the purchase I was making, and not just in your typical car salesman way. They were very genuine and I'm so happy I got to work with them. Thanks Libertyville Chevrolet!!!

We've bought a number of cars from dealerships in the Chicago area, and I would say that our experience at Libertyville Chevrolet was one of the best so far. Our salesman Matt was easy going and very pleasant to work with. Neither he nor his co-workers were pushy, and we were able to get things wrapped up in a reasonable amount of time. Overall we're very happy with our purchase, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Libertyville Chevrolet for sales or service.

i have given this rating because this is my second car purchase from them in the past year. I was very satisfied with the service and the knowledge they knew about the vehicles on the lot. Also, when i called them for information, they were very quick with their response and were not annoying about it. Everything worked out so great for me in the past year, I have pointed my mom in their direction, and hopefully they can assist her in finding the car of her dreams!

After searching many dealership websites for a new Camaro with the equipment we wanted, Libertyville Chevy had three cars that were interesting. We made a phone call and met salesman John Pondell via the phone conversation. He was the right person to speak with and very knowledgable of his product. We met John the following Saturday, looked over his inventory and were invited to test drive the car of our choice. John has a great personality and a ton of patience. We then were introduced to Sales Manager, Gus Chavez, another great asset to this dealership. We traded in our 1995 Corvette and we were very pleased with the deal. We are now enjoying our 2011 Camaro. When we are interested in purchasing another Chevy product in the future we will be calling Libertyville Chevy first. Thank you for an enjoyable experience and lunch too!!!! Sincerely,Jim and Betty Austin

Libertyville Chevrolet is the place to go to buy your new or used Chevrolet cars and trucks. I have been going to this Chevrolet dealership for over 30 years. The building has been recently remodeled and it looks fresh and clean. The current owner took over this dealership a few years ago and in my opinion it just keeps improving and remains consistently at the highest level of service, friendliness and professionalism.I am a car and truck fanatic and I depend on my vehicles for personal and business use. I purchase, on average, 5 vehicles a year from Impala's to Camaro's to Corvette Z06's to Silverado's and beyond. I purchase both new and used vehicles and Libertyville Chevrolet always has plenty of inventory to satisfy my new or used car needs. In the rare cases where they do not have what I need on the lot, they go out and get it for me.Every time the owner of Libertyville Chevrolet (Jim Spellman) is at the dealership the same time I am, he goes out of his way to come over to see how I am doing and he makes sure I am being taken care of.My car and truck salesman is Keith Gunning and for many years he has given me the best service I could ask for. He makes my vehicle buying experience fun and enjoyable. Even though I know I am far from being his only client, Keith always makes me feel like I am the most important person to him every time I walk into the dealership. When it comes to the money and financing part of purchasing vehicles, which usually can be the most stressful part of buying a vehicle, Libertyville Chevrolet has the best finance man around in Brad Williams. Over the years Brad has proven his knowledge and expertise in the automobile financing arena as he always gets me the best rates with the best banks. He knows all aspects of the automobile financing process which assures me that in the end I am going to get the best deal possible(purchase price, trade in value, interest rates, special offers, rebates, warranties, etc). Brad makes the financing phase of the vehicle purchasing process seem effortless. In the service department there is none better than Kevin Paddock. I have always had a special interest in Corvettes. I have owned over 35 Corvettes from the oldest to the newest and there is nobody I would rather have taking care of my Corvettes than Kevin Paddock. I have been taking my vehicles to Kevin for so long now that I not only consider him an expert craftsman and mechanic, I also consider him a friend.Libertyville Chevrolet and all the people that work there that I depend on when it comes to my cars and trucks are the best there is. I am so satisfied with this dealership on all levels that I never comparative shop when I am buying a car or truck. It's simple for me. When I need a vehicle I go to one place and one place only: Libertyville Chevrolet.

I highly recommend Libertyville Chevrolet if you are looking for a new vehicle (or used)! Very professional yet friendly staff, knowledgable and willing to work with you. From the moment we stepped into the dealership we felt at ease. The place was very busy yet we were greeted right away by the general manager, Andrew Richter. We were introduced to Adam Freese, our salesperson, who took the time to gauge exsctly what our needs might be and what type of vehicle would be best for us. We never felt hustled or pressured. During our test drive, we were encouraged to explore all the features and options. All our questions were answered and we felt we had a good basis on which to make our decision. The actual "sales" process was painless and quick, despite the heavy volumne of traffic in the dealership and the number of sales transacted that day. Brad Williams was most helpful in acquainting us with the options and special packages available to enhance our vehicle purchase. When we are ready to replace our other vehicle, we will make Libertyville Chevrolet our first (and probably only) stop in the process. I have only the highest praise for the people there and their integrity and loyalty speaks for itself.

I was at this dealership on 4/29/10 and test drove a 2006 Nissan 350Z with 43,000 miles on it. I had a few things I wanted fixed on the vehicle so I talked them down from $16,900 to $16,000 and signed a PURCHASE CONTRACT/BILL OF SALE for a total of $17,505.94 (tax, title etc. included) with the agreement that they would fix the problems I noticed on the car. They ordered parts the following day and expected to get them in from Nissan on 5/4/10 and would take a day or so to fix and then I could pick up my car.I then insured the car on 5/3/10 so that it would be ready to go for pickup on either 5/4/10 or 5/5/10. I called the place on 5/4/10 to get an update and they stated that they sold the car on Saturday 5/1/10 for more money to someone who didn't want the things fixed that I had listed in my contract. They NEVER called to tell me they sold the car. I went on with normal business and researched extended warranties as well as call up and insure my car with Geico. The salesman didn't even have the guts to call and tell me he sold it behind my back even with my contract! Talk about a coward! I signed a contract that only the dealer could back out of! How shady is that! I spoke with a friend that is a car salesman and he said that is very shady and that no respectable dealership would allow that. I just hope they make up for what they have done, they owe me big time.If there is a prime example of unethical business, this is it!5/21/10:I was contacted by Libertyville Chevrolet and offered $100 for my troubles and $1.97 to compensate for the 1 day of insurance I paid on the vehicle that I was never "officially" sold due to some loopholes in the contract I signed. Due to the lack of prompt communication and an overall shady deal gone bad, I respectfully declined the $101.97 offer. I'll let the consumers decide for themselves when reading both my response and the dealer's response. At a minimum, it is good for consumers to know that even by signing a contract, they do not officially own the car and it is not held for them. If you want to avoid this type of problem, you apparently have to put a down payment on the car even though they do not tell you this. By not putting a down payment on the car they can sell it to anyone else who offers them more money (a great situation for a dealer to be in, not the buyer). I don't think this type of business practice is common, but it happened to me, so buyer beware...

I bought a new 2010 Camaro SS from Libertyville Chevy. All 3 of the people I worked with made my purchase a good and enjoyable experience. No pressure or hard sell. Got to a fair price without the typical games. I would recommend family and friends to do biz with these guys. I will again. I'm looking forward to working with there High Performance service guys they have on staff there in the future. Will bring my Vette in there too.I sense this dealership recognizes that a customer will not remember in the future what was said or what the details of the deal were, but they know the customer will always remember how they felt about the experience. Jon Berna, Doug Nykel, and Justin Fullmer all made it a great buying experience for me. Good guys all around.

First, let me start out by saying if you loved Pontiac and are disappointed the brand has been discontinued, consider the 2010 Chevy Malibu. I just purchased this car and I love it! And if you are in the market for a new Chevy, your best place to shop is Libertyville Chevy. As someone who did his due diligence shopping around, nobody was as courteous and professional as the team at Libertyville Chevy, not to mention their willingness to negotiate a great price. There were some other things that really stood out about Libertyville Chevy:I sent Internet quote requests to 20 Chevy dealers in the Chicagoland area. About half of them don't give a number at all, just a reply that states "let's set up an appointment." And out of the other half that do provide a quote, Jon Berna gave the best quote out of all of them. If you're shopping for a new Chevy, make sure to include Libertyville Chevy in your process.Their willingness to negotiate was greater than any other dealers in the area. I went there 3 nights in a row after work and kept getting better and better each time. Other dealers I went to couldn't match this dedication and you will get the best price at Libertyville Chevy.I have a GM credit card where I've accumulated a cash back rebate. When I purchased my new Malibu 1LT, GM didn't authorize the full amount I earned. I was obviously upset, but Scott (general mgr.) called GM on my behalf and worked it out with them. Every last penny I earned as a rebate was rewarded and this was because Scott cared enough about my situation that he made sure I was taken care of. This is customer service that can't be matched. They offer a "tires-for-life" program. That's right, when your tires start to get old and need replacement, they will give your 4 new tires for free. Just maintain (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) your vehicle at their service center and you qualify!All-in-all, I'm sure there are some other good Chevy dealers in the area, but nobody is better than the team at Libertyville Chevy. From selection, to price, to their customer service, you won't be disappointed.

Late in October 2009 I was in Libertyville visiting family when my 4 wheel drive engagement failed for my 2004 Tahoe Z71. I asked my brother, who lives in Libertyville which dealership he might recommend and he indicated that Libertyville Chevrolet had a very good reputation locally. I took him at his word and took my car to the dealership for service. My first impression was excellent as the service writer immediately indicated that a loaner car would be available to me while my vehicle was repaired. He did this without any hesitation. My Tahoe was covered under a service warranty thru AutoGuard, which the service writer handled entirely, eliminating any issues of paperwork and explanations to the insurance company. They repaired my four wheel drive, replacing the encoder motor for the 4 wheel drive engagement and it came in real handy recently here in Virginia when we received a record snowfall. It has not failed since and I am consequently very satisfied with the work done. The service tech also found a leak in the HydroBoost power brake unit that I was aware of, but had not made the service technician aware of, which I thought was a real nice catch. Libertyville Chevrolet took care entirely of the insurance claim on this as well. They additionally checked over the entire vehicle for any other issues and provided me with a detailed report at no additional cost to me. I had them perform some much needed 50k service items that were in the list items that would require service soon. I was very aware of the state of my truck as I have friends that own a service station and work as certified auto technicians here in Virginia who have had the truck in for inspection on a number of occasions. Libertyville Chevrolet was very accurate and thorough in their assessment of the service needed for the vehicle. The people at Libertyville Chevrolet were very pleasant to work with, the service was top notch and done correctly and thoroughly the first time (Always a good thing!). This was by far the single best experience I have had at ANY Chevrolet dealer, and I have owned Chevrolet cars and trucks for more than 20 years, so that is saying quite a bit.

This is the second car I have purchased from Doug Nykel at Libertyville Chevrolet. The first one was a used car and this one is a new one. I was very impressed the first time because Doug asked me some questions to understand what I was looking for and only showed me cars that suited my needs. He did not waste my time. So, 3 years later, when I was interested in a new car, I knew who to go to. Again, Doug helped me find exactly the car to suit my needs. The next step was the paperwork and financing, and I was very impressed with David Rubin's dedication to finding the best financing for me and to making the paperwork portion smooth and comprehensible. At every step of my visit, I was treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism by everyone at the dealership, including the owner. I gladly and enthusiastically recommend Libertyville Chevrolet to anyone.

After many years of myself and other family members puchasing Chevrolets at another Chevrolet Dealership I noticed as well as another member of my family changes in the attitude of the sales department and the service department. I purchased a car that had window weather stripping problems. This dealership replaced it 4 times and my drivers side window was still coming out of it. It was recommened to me that I go to Libertyville Chevrolet. I got to Libertyville Chevrolet at about 3:45PM where I was greated by Giaco Fuentes and he told me that I should go into there waiting room and he woulg get back to me. Giaco Ruffolo asked Danny their Technician if he would stay because his shift was over and look at my car because he was very knowledgeable on Chevrolet Cobalts. What they found was terrible. The entire fix from the other dealership was wrong and make shift. When they had everything apart they should me what they did and I was shocked. They gave me a loaner car which was even equipt with an I pass!!!! Rigo told me that he would call me by 10:00AM the next morning and let me know what was going to happen with my car. Before 10:00AM the next day I received a call that my car was ready! I was in shock and so happy. What they did is over nighted the needed parts and fixed the window the way it was meant to be done from the factory. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP THAN LIBERTYVILLE CHEVROLET!!!!!!

Im personally not a fan of buying used cars from dealerships but it turned out they had the exact car I wanted. I really can only speak for they guy who showed me the car and brought me around. His name is Jon Berna. I believe he is the internet sales manager, but also works some front sales too I assume. He was knowledgeable, straitforward, and asked what I wanted. He didnt try to push me into anything outside of my needs. I would rate him an A+ and will no doubt ask for him if I were to be in the market for another car. There was another guy who I did all the paperwork with, I only know his first name or what they called him, which was Manny. He was pretty cool too. I gave the ratings above pretty much because of my experience with Jon. It all starts from the salesman, and he didnt dissapoint. Im pretty sure I got a great price also on my Trailblazer SS. It helps that I love the car too.

It is rare to find a dealership that conducts business in such a professional and pleasant manner as Libertyville Chevrolet. With so much competition out there, Libertyville Chevrolet has made it easy to choose them to purchase my new 2010 Traverse. The sales team that I had the pleasure of dealing with (Jim and Doug), were professional, knowledgeable and most importantly not pushy. They were able to provided me with the vehicle that I wanted, all the options that I needed, at a price I was happy with. After finalizing the deal, the level of customer service was even more impressive. Doug, did not just move onto the next potential customer. He took the time to help familiarize myself with my new vehicle. He responsed to all my questions/ concerns if not immediately, then in a timely manner. He helped explain all the different optional services available at the dealership, only to follow up with me, again in a timely manner, to make sure that I didn't have any additional questions or concerns. These are all basic actions (although much appreciated) that are almost always overlooked by an average sales/ service organization. Thank you for a job well done.

This dealership is among the best when dealing with customers. Everything in that store is about satisfying the end consumer and the products are worth the look. I was coming off lease with a Toyota and looked at Audi, Volvo, Ford, and Cadillac and the Chevy Traverse won easily. With cars being harder to come by due to our economic condition, these guys worked hard to get the car and color that we wanted. I have referred business to them resulting in sales for Libertyville Chevy. These people will go to great lengths to make you a client. They took the time to talk to me and explained to me about the truck and options very well. Brad williams was great, he wen't over everything with me in great detail and after the sale called me a couple of times to make sure that I was happy with the truck and and asked me if I had any questions at all. Bought a brand new Chevy Truck from them. They put swirls in my truck from their "scratch removal" technique. Also ripped out my carpet to replace a speaker and failed to put it back the way it was before. Ended up having to replace the carpet because the old piece was stretched and would not fit properly. The irony? The punk kid who went to get my new truck from Wisconsin for the dealership cranked the bass up to the max. I had no idea the settings had been messed with and played music for a few months, which made me have to get the speaker replaced...and then the carpet replaced. I would not recommend.

This place is not where you want to buy a vehicle. I called dealership to confirm that they still had an auto I had seen advertised via internet. I not only had a sales person confirm the vehicle was there, but was transfered to the store mgr, Robert, confirming it. They also called me twice within an hr to confirm my arrival & 3 separate people all told me to ask for Jim. Within 90 min., I drove 45 min. one way, three children in tow, and was told Jim was not there AND the auto sold the night before, but that they had a better auto for me to look at! First of all, was I driving out to see a piece of crap? Secondly, how aggravating to play old school b.s. games with me, so they could get me into their salesroom. I'm not sure who would stay for a sale, but I don't have the time or money to be treated that way. Unfortunately, sales reps speak for the vehicles...Good luck on your sales, L'ville Chevy, you're gonna need it, ya weasels! I wish I could give you 0 star.

We even took the car to the local Toyota and Honda delaerships to compare the Malibu. Over all the experience was very good and they gave us a good price. The dealer did a dealer search for a 2009 Traverse said they found both blue, white and grey ones. I told them we wanted the grey one, we then agreed on a price. I asked the two sales representatives point blank if they were sure they could get me the car since it was at another dealer and I did not want to miss the rebates/incentives that ended that day. They both interdependently told me that they could get car (I had the opportunity to get the car at a different deal but chose Libertyville because of the location to my house). After agreeing on the vehicle I gave them a down payment of $1,000 and they told me they would have the car ready in two days. I also had them xerox a copy of the paper showing the cost and VIN number of the car along with my deposit. The next day I was called and told that they can not get the car but could possibly get a blue one. Needless to say I was very upset since they were lied about getting the car and now the incentives had expired. When I called the sales manager he had an aloof attitude of 'oh well, they might be able to get you another car'. I'll never do business with Libertyville Chevrolet again. I'll only promote honest businesses.
