I bought a used Ford Raptor. Already a great truck in good condition, after taking it for a test drive, I felt like I was buying brand new. I stopped in to Licari to look at a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited they had for sale. I found their facility very clean and nice. I hate shopping for a vehicle, mainly because car salesmen drive me crazy. They are usually pushy and annoying.. but not here, I dealt with Jesse and he was great. For the first time EVER buying a car was an enjoyable experience. He let me look around at my own leisure, didn't bother me or try to sell me something I didn't want, I really didn't know what I wanted at that point. I didn't see anything that I liked but then he showed me a Jeep that they were going to do some work to over the next few weeks. He promised to call me first when it was done, a promise that he kept and I ended up purchasing that vehicle. Service is great, friendly people and I can say that my next purchase will be from here.

Roger the mechanic that helped me figured out my problem and actually saved me money because he was honest. After the death of my husband, I was driving the last car I believed I would ever own (in my lifetime). I loved my car (my husbands choice) and it was mechanically sound..until she sporadically wasn't. LMC mechanics tried their best to discover the unusual problem with the car...on numerous occasions...quite reasonably. They went as far as keeping the car several over-nights, driving it themselves; not to mention on 2 different weekends. Although they teased me when no problem could be found, on that 2nd weekend, the problem occurred for them. Being unable to determine the problem, they went so far as to take the car to the makers dealership, for assistance. There was no answer...even the manufacturers dealership was stumped. This raised the stress in my life to an explosive level, as I needed a reliable vehicle. LMC calmly discussed my finances with me, understood my mental state, and assured me they could help. They suggested several vehicles, in my price range, allowing me significant test drives of each vehicle; with reassurance and explanations along the way, as I know absolutely nothing about cars and had acquired a high anxiety level while driving alone. The compassion shown by Mr. Licari, and his staff, made a difficult and grievous situation a simple, calm process, with no pressure, done in my time line.There is no hesitation with my recommendation of LMC to anyone who mentions they need a sound vehicle.

Sam has a good location even on a Monday. Besides being on my favorite road in New York State Hwy 28 heading into the Adirondacks from the Mohawk Valley, the used car dealership with the new car feel sits at a traffic light making entry and exit easier. The cars are lined up proudly displaying their gleaming clean exteriors beckoning. If cars could talk, you could almost hear them clamoring for your attention. Buy me, no no, buy me... Of course, I knew the car I wanted to get into from the get go. I wasn't looking for a dream car or truck though there were plenty of them to choose from in the wide and varied selection of vehicles, a sensible get to work in all weather reliably and safely kind of car with a little extra. Jason the sales representative let me take the car of my choice for a test drive. A brief trip up the road, aggressively approaching 55 and a nice coast before turning around in a competitors lot seemed an appropriate place to head back to the shop. Returning to 55mph, I slammed on the brakes and noticed no shudder or pull to either side. Yep, I'm satisfied with the performance. Now I'm not regularly a gambling man but I needed to verify with my spouse the car would be the one for me. I mentioned this to Jason and he understood without her say so things would go no further. At some point, she may need to drive the vehicle and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable with the decision I was about to make. Understanding, I was told you could put a deposit on it to hold it. I told him I would call the following day if it was still there and give him a card to charge a deposit against. I was so sure she would like it though, I asked Jason to have it ready by Friday. A few additional calls from the very astute Harold and financing was obtained, the car was on its way to being delivered Friday by 2PM. The time came and the wife had a chance to drive the prepped and detailed vehicle prior to signing off. The entire minutia was handled by the office and by 2:15PM we were all done. To top it off, there is a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the engine, drive train and transmission. If I had known only a week prior, I would have bought two vehicles instead of only one. These guys are fun to deal with and will get you into the car you need, want or desire. Great Prowler in the showroom too.

Purchased my first truck on line. Did everything on line and some on the phone with Jason Winter. Drove the 1-1/2 hours from DeRuyter, NY and everything was ready to go. Took a test drive and signed the papers and was back on he road in less than 30 minutes. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would recommend doing business with them. Feeling really good about the lifetime power train and engine warranty on a used vehicle.

I was lied to by Syracuse dealel. they sold a promised truck on me , Came home turned on computer and up jumped Cars .com with truck I wanted. It had Licari mts. I called , this is where my expetrience with Harold Coffin began. HE described the truck.features and the unbelievable Lifetime Powertrain warrenty to me. I live more than an hour away,so i made arrangements to see truck 2 days later past closing time, No problem with harold, Got there late , he and Sam were waiting for me, Ifell for truck and facilities(very impresive). I agreed to buy truck,Fair negotions. I agreed to take delivery the next week. In the meantime Herkimer flooded. Luckily there garage was un touched .I had to take all kind of alternate roads; When i finally git truck it was spotless the dealership prepared it perfectly. I have the truck for a month,and I haven"t found ONE thing wrong. I did not think this happened any more. We have had problems in the past with financing and had very few choices to choose from. We decided to try Licari this time and we are so glad that we did! Everyone there was so nice, and Harold went above and beyond to help us. Sometimes the whole car buying experience can be scary and not much fun, but not with Licari! I LOVE my car, and we will be going back in a few months to get something new for my husband. Will be taking all of our vehicles there for servicing as well. Definately stop in, you won't be sorry.

my first visit was a coupon for oil change/tire rotation. technician saw a leak and quoted estimate. even tho job took much longer than expected, they honored their estimate for amount of labor. I'll definitely go back.

I really feel comfortable dealing with Dale. Both my husband and I trust his judgement and skill level. The prices are reasonable, and the last time I dropped off my car for maintenance, when I picked it up, Dale had even washed my car....how nice is that?

drove 30 minutes to dealership on a saturday after speaking to salesman and he was no where to be found. The doors were locked--the owner came out and told us to come back at 4pm and he would take care of us.We were there at 4pm and doors were locked so we waited 30 minutes and no one showed up. We wasted a lot of time and gas on a hot saturday!!

Buying process what great! Salesman was very friendly and did whatever he could to help us. Even when we had some issues coming through on our end. The only thing I would have liked to have done differently was actually negotiate the price. They did bring the price down for me, but not as much as I would have liked. Especially since I realized after the fact that the blazer was not quite as "loaded" as specified in the ad. ("heated" leather seats for example, they are not heated at all just the mirrors are)But, thats mostly my own fault. I should have looked for all the "extras" prior to purchasing. I did have some issues with one of the power windows and a valve that caused the check engine light to come on after having it a week. But nothing they would have known about before selling it to me. The service department was quick to return my call and get me right in to have it worked on. Thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty or we would have had to fork out a good lump some in the first week of owning it, since none of the parts that were repaired were covered under the dealers 60day warranty. But, thats just the joys of owning a vehicle. Overall, I was pleased with all their services and would deff purchase another vehicle from them in the future!

I purchased a used 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. The vehicle has around 31,000 miles on it. Since I live about 2.5 hours away. Harold the sales manager agreed to meet me half way to take delivery. I drove the vehicle home, used it for one tank of gas and the front shock began to make a ton of noise after every bump. I immediately took it to a Chevrolet dealer. The front shock had blown and all the fluid came out of the shock. I called LICARI and told them this on a Tuesday. I was contacted by the service manager on Friday and told I was out of luck; there was no warranty, since it is considered a wear and tear part. LICARI said we don't have to back it. A dealer with any Moral Compass or good business practice would make it right if it happened on the first full tank of gas. Tough to pay over 30k dollars and not get a week of use before a major repair (it has auto ride suspension) They refused to cover it. They will not get any business from me again, nor any of my friends.

May 2011, I was shopping around for a new "used" car. No one else that day would even talk to me because of my credit rating. I visited Licari Motor Cars in Herkimer, Ny and was treated like a human.
