I don't typically find myself writing about a positive experience that I've had with a Car Dealership, which why I'm writing this one. If you're in the market for a new or used Ford, it is worth the trip to deal with Dan R, Dan C, Nick and the folks at Litchfield Ford. They were extremely patient with me, as we waited for Hyundai to rectify my Title situation, so I could trade in my car. Thank you folks very much for an extremely pleasant buying experience. I've already recommended Litchfield Ford to a number of people at work.

Close to perfect for my "the works" appointment. No delays, very courteous efficient service. Price as I expected. One thing I wish was different though. I was especially interested in the amount of brake pads left as I thought it was getting time. And mentioned it when I checked in. On the vehicle evaluation report the brake data was the only thing missing. I brought it to the attention of the service writer and she went to the mechanic to investigate. On her return she said he evidentially forgot to include the data and she wrote it in. More brakes left than I expected so of course I have this nagging doubt if they were checked all. Guess I will have to accept it but I think most people would be skeptical. Would be good for the service writers to take a look for accuracy before the customer does.

We just bought our second F350 super duty from them. Dan Rodrigues really knows the product and is very easy to deal with. They don't play games and they really work hard to make their customers happy. Also, I really like their service department. I can go to a closer dealer, but I don't mind driving the 50 minutes.

My wife and I came to Litchfield Ford as our third stop of the afternoon. There we met Russ Haas who proceeded to show us the van we had noticed online. Russ has a quiet laid-back demeanor and just answered my questions and offered information that was pertinent. We went for a short test drive and then told him we would sleep on it. Five minutes later we came back, which was an easy choice to make since our first experience with him was so positive, to work out the details. Overall the most comfortable car buying experience that I I have had. I will recommend Litchfield Ford and Russ to others unequivocally.

I actually was going to buy a 2015 Chevy Silverado but just before signing the papers checked the Carfax and saw an undisclosed accident. Called Litchfield Ford and told them I was re-interested in a 2015 CPO F150. Met the team and they worked with me in trading in my 2013 Camaro and worked with me on the trade in amount.All were very easy to work with and the experience was top notch.

I am extremely happy with my experience here. Rich and Tom were very friendly and helpful and their prices were fair and honest. I had some questions about the vehicle and they took the time to research it to make sure I had the right information. Rich was always there to answer any questions along the way and to help with any other requests I had. I never felt pressured to buy anything, but instead, it seemed like we both had the same goal: helping me get a new truck at a good price. He really listened to what I needed in a truck and made an extra effort to explain how to use the features I most wanted. Negotiations were candidly discussed without the usual car salesman run-around. We corresponded through email, text, and phone without missing a beat and, before I knew it, the deal was set and my truck was ready to go. They went out of their way to make this an awesome buying experience and I am sure that I will return when it is time to purchase another Ford.

I was very happy with Litchfield Ford! There is much to be said about a "small" dealership!! We had stopped at a few LARGE dealerships on the way to Litchfield Ford. One had no idea where their car was parked and we waited 20+ minutes to find this out????? The other one was so busy even though they were expecting us we didnt wait. Once we arrived at Litchfield Ford, an hour from home, we waited 2 minutes for our salesman Russ to come in from moving a car. He knew what we were there to see and we proceeded with the ins & outs of looking at the truck we had spoken about on the phone. We could have even had the car in our possession the very next day! It was nice to have all the motor vehicle & insurance items handled through them. The financial paperwork with Jeff went quickly & easily. In about an hour we were in our new-used truck and on our way home. Thumbs up for small-well run-Personal service dealers!!

I shopped around at a couple local dealerships for the Ford Escape titanium that was perfect for me, however I was not successful in finding one locally so I began my search on cargurus.com. I emailed dealership and Abby was very prompt in returning my email and was extremely helpful with finding out the answers to my direct questions, as well as setting up day/time to take the hike up there. I notified Abby that Iwould like to get deal purchased and completed in one day if possible and requested ahead of time that the vehicle be throughly inspected/cleaned and detailed. Abby arranged for that and when we got there to test drive car was all detailed and cleaned! Thank you again ABBY! I asked my good friend who is the finance manager at a local dealership to review car listing before I made the drive up! I was given the green light from him and and was referred to Roman! When we arrived my mother and I were greated by Roman(manager) who notified me that salesman Steve would be taking care of the sale. Steve did a wonderful job of explaining the vehicle and taking me on a test drive, as well as coordinating with finance manager Jeff. They were able to expedite our process, and made it possible for us to drive the vehicle home the same night(of course I had lined up insurance and COD), despite having other scheduled appointments and deliveries! My mother and I truly enjoyed the "small business" feel of this dealership, and am appreciative of Steve staying late to complete the deal with us and making sure we were all set! I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle (Steve is already on the lookout for a vehicle for my mother)! I did my initial car shopping on cargurus.com and was contacted by Abby Conroy after I put in a request for more information on the particular car. She was as helpful as someone can be over the phone and email. When I arrived at the dealership I met Dan Rodrigues. He was very easy to deal with and didn't try to push anything on me that I didn't ask for. He was very accommodating when it came to inspecting the car and taking it for a drive. Jeff Tucker helped me through the finances of the entire deal and he was very forthcoming with expenses and places I could save during the transaction.Overall, I highly recommend this dealership. Our experience at Litchfield Ford was great. Starting with the emailing back and forth with Abby Conroy to identify the desired vehicle to sitting down with Steven Vardon to do the deal, I would highly recommend visiting this dealer if you are in the market for a new or used Ford car or truck. Let's start at the top - I did a search online for a car - Lincoln MKZ, Ford Fusion, Chrysler 200. Most of the websites ask that you fill in a form with your name, email, phone number, etc. I didn't want a lot of annoying salespeople calling so I did not fill out any forms. On Litchfield Ford's website, there is an option to save the car you're interested in to your cell phone. I did that. Later that day, I received a text from Abby following up on my interest in the car. She was great, not pushy just there to give me information. She even emailed some pictures of another car that I had an interest in that wasn't on the website.When I was ready to go to the dealership to test drive, she turned me over to Jeff Smith, a salesman. Jeff was fabulous! As we sat in the car letting it cool, Jeff told and showed me the many features of the car (technology). He had me drive down a pleasant country road for the test drive. Then we did the same with the other car. With his help, I was able to decide on which car I wanted to purchase. Since my husband wasn't with me to see the car and I didn't know if it would fit in the garage, Jeff actually stunned me when he said I could take the car home overnight! I happily took it home! When we were ready to sign the paperwork, Jeff Smith and Jeff Tucker stayed after hours on a Sunday to make sure we were all set. Jeff Smith stayed even after everyone else was gone to make sure I understood how the technology worked in the car and paired my phone to it. He never made me feel like I was keeping him. Even today, after the sale, he contacted me via email to see how I was doing with the new car. Now that's what I call customer service!

The salesman Jeff Smith is well versed in all aspects of truck knowledge. He showed us several trucks of interest and proceeded to explain every detail of each and in comparison of one another. He took his time to to go over all the details leaving us to have few if any questions. Jeff's personable mannerism was a welcomed surprise as we were not actual looking to purchase but to rather get more information for a future purchase. As he proceeded conversing with us it was clear to us that if we were going to buy a truck , it would be from him and today. The proceedings following for the loan process and regular paperwork were incredibly easy with Jeff Tucker. He took his time to make sure we understood all the different warranty plans as well as added a personal story to help us make our decision. I was looking for a new Mustang convertible for my husband as a surprise birthday present. Litchfield Ford is a great dealership to purchase or lease a car. This is my second experience purchasing a car with them. They are kind, attentive, and have a very high level of knowledge on their vehicles. Once I entered the dealership I was greeted with smiles and hellos. Right away, I was able to pinpoint a car that I wanted to get and then Jeff helped me to pick out my car. I was able to test drive as many cars as I wanted and even though I didn't find something on the first try, they were able to find me what I wanted within a few days. Once I went ahead with the purchase, they made everything so seamless. It is such a hassle going to the dmv to register the car, and there you don't even have to blink an eye and they have it taken care of!! Jeff went over all of the accessories on the car with me very thoroughly so I felt comfortable with what I was going to be using. On top of it all, they gave me a free oil change and a full tank of gas for my new car. I couldn't be happier with the service I have received and I highly recommend anyone to use Litchfield Ford when looking to get a new car.

After visiting several dealerships and not having much luck I looked up Litchfield Fords website and found 2 vehicles that I was interested in. Upon arrival Dan was very courteous and helpful. What a great experience. I wanted to trade in my Chrysler 300 for a Ford Fusion Hybrid. After doing general research, it appeared that I would need to wait another year before I could make the numbers work out financially. While I was on a .com car buying site, I saw 2 - 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrids for sale at Litchfield Ford for approximately $3,000 under book. They also advertised that they gave the most on trade-in's. I sent an email to the "Contact Us" site and got an immediate response from Abby Conroy that the car was still available. The dealership is about 1:20 mins from my house and I really didn't want to waste a whole day driving up there for a deal that had to be too good to be true. After a few more emails with Abby, I decided to take the day off and make the drive. All the way up there I was saying to myself that there is no way this can work, they will not give me what I need for my car.......My salesman was Dan LoRusso, who was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and a pleasure to deal with and not your typical pushy used car salesman. After test driving both vehicles, Brian DuBosar the Sales Manager gave me the offer for my car which was at the high end of what I had expected. A couple of hours later, I drove off with my new Fusion. I had a chance to speak to most of the employees at the dealership while waiting for the paperwork to be completed and I have to say it was one of the most pleasurable buying experiences I have had. All the team are very knowledgeable and extremely personable. My only recommendation to the Hill brothers would be that since the finance guy Jeff is stuck in his office most of the day finalizing the deals, give him an office with windows to outside. There are a couple of nice corner spots for him out with the salespeople. We finance people always get stuck on the interior.....lol. Thank you for the awesome experience!!!!!

In my search for a Certified used Ford Flex, my first contact with Litchfield Ford was an email from their internet manager Abby Conroy, in response to my inquiry through AutoTrader.com. Through an exchange of several emails, Abby helped me to navigate the maze of option packages, in order to help define what I was looking for, which helped greatly in my search. She then proceeded to search for a Flex matching my criteria, and notified me when she had two on the lot to choose from that she thought I would like to see, so I made an appointment to see them. Once at the dealership, she connected me with salesman Russ Haas, who was very knowledgeable of the Flex's features. He was especially helpful with helping me understand the electronics & the touch screen, which I felt intimidated by. Once I decided to purchase the car, Russ, along with business manager Jeff Campbell, took care of coordinating all of the paperwork involving financing, my trade-in vehicle, DMV registration transfer, and dealt with my insurance agent to remove my old car from the policy & add the new one. There is no getting around the fact that cars are very expensive. But having shopped at other dealerships, I found that my certified used car at Litchfield Ford was priced realistically, without the game playing & number shuffling that is common at other dealerships. The shift lever in my 2011 Edge needed to be replaced because I kept getting a message to shift into park when vehicle was already in park. I came in for the 60,000 mile service for my mustang. Found out it was $500.00 for 6 spark plugs, and 2 filters. So, I went with 2 snow tires, and a oil change. I learnt that the mechanics have to remove engine parts to get to the plugs. That isn't the fault of the dealer, but I assume you get lots of, "What?" Maybe when the sales person is explaining the pros of the car, they can also throw in the plug con. I'll save and wait until spring.

The staff was open to a long distance transaction on a used Expedition. Because of our great distance from the dealership, they were willing to do some paperwork and work on the transaction by phone and email. I appreciated this convenience, as this takes trust. We were unable to come to an agreement on price, so I selected another Expedition from another dealership that was also willing to work by email and phone. Today, I drove home my Expedition purchase that I am delighted with from the other dealership (I bought the vehicle site unseen for slightly more money than the vehicle available at Litchfield Ford, but it had fewer miles, and am happy with the purchase). However, although this first transaction from Litchfield Ford was not completed, I appreciate the time we worked together to try to make the transaction work. I would recommend this dealership and if they were willing to work long distance again in the future, I would consider them again for a future vehicle purchase.

Since the Hill Brothers purchased the dealership and made Litchfield Ford what it is today, just represents what a little town should have. A well rounded family atmosphere. Honest sales with an impressive inventory. The parts and service department remain well organized. Truck was properly worked on in a timely manner. Mechanic, Greg did a great job troubleshooting a wiring issue and changed over my spark plugs. My truck was returned cleaner than when I dropped it off. purchased a used 2011 gmc . there was no owners manual in the truck. salesman said he would take care of it. after 2 months i got an e-mail saying he had my manual. an envelope was sent to me . i opened it to find another envelope still sealed , addressed to someone in torrington with a return address from an on line auction site . inside was a manual for a chevy silverado. pretty much the same truck but not what i paid 25 k for.. sent two e-mails to salesman expressing my concern and so far have gotten no response.

I bought my 2010 Ford Explorer about 2 yrs ago and when I bought it the salesman, Jeff Paulsen, and was told that if I had any service problem that Litchfield Ford would come pick up my car at work in Hartford and leave a loaner for me to use in the meantime. When I had my 1st problem I called and was told they only had 1-day loaners and they wouldn't come pick up my vehicle. I had to bring it in. I didn't like being sold being told one thing and then another happens when you have a problem. Would not be buying another vehicle there. I actually went to Crowley Ford and the fixed the problem and I was extremely happy with ALL of their assistance.

Hi. My Wife Kristin and I came by on Friday morning and met with Steven Vardon. We spoke about the Ford F-150 2014 on special. Took a test drive, went over the truck in detail and all questions were answered. We had a good morning with Steven and came to a agreement that suited both parties, without being pushed by the sales man (Steven).We left and notified our insurance company of the new truck which in turn contacted Steven to get the insurance details worked out for us on our return to pick up the new truck later in the afternoon. On our return with our trade in Dodge, Steven went over the details/books etc on the new Ford and answered all questions to our satisfaction. He informed us about our first oil change to be done at no cost/the tank of fuel and about the two great Ladies in the service department who can answer any questions and will be happy to help us with our service needs. Steven then directed us to Ms Abby Conroy to do the rest of the paperwork on purchase/financing/registration/ etc. She explained everything in detail and answered all our questions so when we left we felt confident with all the paperwork. One envelope for the truck with registration/insurance to be kept in the truck and another envelope to be kept at home with all the other paperwork on the truck.While inside we spoke with other Team members and everyone was very polite and helpful.After we finished with Abby we went back to Steven and he took us out to the new truck and SYNC my phone with it. He went over the truck inside on the instrumental panel and features. Pointed out everything and let us know our options on bedliners, put the new plates on and wished us well with it and Safe travels.A great relaxed experience we had at Litchfield Ford, we look forward to coming back for service and will recommend Litchfield Ford to our friends. I bought a pre owned 2013 Mustang. I was coming from out of state 3hrs away. The sales team went above and beyond my expectations on giving me every detail on the car. They were able to do most of the paperwork remotely. Making the 3hr trip worth the time. They also did an excellent job cleaning the car. Brought my 2010 F150 to Litchfield Ford for an oil change and to have the tire pressure monitoring system checked/reset. Service was done expeditiously while I waited and at no charge as a result of this being the 5th oil change. Very satisfied with the service. I was particularly impressed with the fact that service was scheduled for a Monday and I had to cancel due to a snowstorm. Service was rescheduled for the following day and carried out efficiently.

Drove 3 hours for a great deal on a Saturday, spent 4 hours of nonsense given stale food leftover from lunch in the breakroom, not telling me that my credit was not sufficient to their standards to approve loan for the vehicle I had picked out. The salesman was great until the deal fell through then he was on to the next sale next customer instead of helping me find something else I could afford. Sales manager should have known better himself to work with the customer rather than just yell NEXT like its a deli. Anyhow was approved for $50k tier 1 business loan through Toyota and took delivery the following Thursday. USE CAUTION WITH THESE GUYS

I had an intermittent issue with my 09 F450 derating or losing power on a hill. I brought it in and they said they could not find anything wrong with it but still charged me a diagnosis fee of around $78.00 for doing nothing. Idiots. I'll never go back.

I was the owner of a 2008 Mustang Shelby GT500. Back in September I took the car in to have the clutch replaced soon after the repair the car was stored for the winter. So the nice weather came and I had taken the car out in early April and something was making a horrible noise coming from the clutch area so I took the car back to the dealer and took the service manager out for a spin to show him what was going on. This happened in .1 of a mile from the dealer not exceeding 35 miles and hr. So we go back into the dealer and I get an appointment of 4/21 so they can get the car on the lift to see what was going on. Then the morning of they decide to take my car out for a test run on cold roads. At this time of the day and a car with 550hp it got away from the driver and they hit a concrete barrier over a bridge totaling my car. After doing a little investigating and gathering information the operator was given by a State trooper a written warning and was the cause of the accident he claims he was going 50 miles and hr shifting into 3rd gear (more like 65-70) also driving the car over 2miles (seems more like a joy ride). At this time I was paid out by the insurance company of the Ford dealer but how is it possible they destroyed my property and nothing happens to them Car is not replaceable 1 of 20 made with these options in 2008.... Thanks taken a future collectable from me and my family....

748.00 to replace an alternator that didn't need replacing to begin with. Litchfield Ford: Still losers. Sends me a check for $300.00 and $500.00 in coupons towards a new car? Called up Owner Chris Hill asking why he didn't fully reimburse me and he says he refunded only the part cost as an offer of "goodwill" and the coupons toward a new car from them. Really? And my car after 8 days at your shop, unnecessary work performed, a bill for $1070.00 plus, an ADDITIONAL day at the shop and another bill of $170.00 to clean the control housing which STILL did not fix it and you think this is ok and that I'd actually be stupid enough to buy a car from your crappy place???? WOW. No. Time for court.

My first interaction with the dealership was very good and I would have recommended them to anyone I know at the time. However, because of a lousy $15 - $20 touch up paint that was promised at the time of the purchase but never delivered I cannot. I was told to expect the paint in the mail shortly after I purchased the truck but it never arrived, so I called the salesman who said he would send out another. It, too, never came. When I spoke to the salesman in person he made the apparent pretense of ordering the paint. I say apparent pretense because I never received the paint.I appreciate that he offered to provide the paint without my asking, but if you promise something; not once but three times, you should keep your word. For a trivial amount they made me a dissatisfied customer.

Bought vehicle and after signing paperwork they tell me,"Oh since the vehicle is over seven years old we dont have to offer a warranty." On the way home (less than an hour away) the check engine light comes on. Call them and I get a "check the gas cap." Nope, bad mass airflow sensor, at $130.00 dollar fix out of my pocket. I send it to get inspected and it has an exhaust leak. NOW the truck leaks oil from the transmission! I havent even had it a month or even made a payment on it yet. Called and emailed and no response. No lemon law warranty in CT to protect the consumer and dealer wont respond. Nice..
