I'm glad I went to Loeber motors though it was 30 miles from my place. Felt at ease while making my decision on the car to buy. Sid was truthful and ready to tell me not just the positives, but also the negatives which helped make my decision making process easier. Sid was pleasant to deal with. !!!!!!!!!!BUYER BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT; UNETHICAL; & CHEAP TACTICS TO SELL CARS!!!!!!-2 RATING IF I COULD DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!On February 15th, 2016, I had the most unfortunate experience in purchasing my first ever luxury car (2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Sport) from Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, IL. Thinking that I am buying a reputable luxury car from one of the top luxury entry brands in the market I would be provided executive class service and professional treatment. HOWEVER, I was provided nothing more than CHEAP, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, & CLASSIC USED CAR SALESMAN TACTICS in pushing me to purchase the car. CLASSIC BAIT/SWITCH, where the Salesman ANTHONY WHITLOCK (I WOULD BE COVERED WITH MBCPO WARRANTY FOR 27 MONTHS TILL MARCH 2018) after the fact said, you should have known what your were buying before making the final purchase. The story is, I was informed as written by Anthony Whitlock on the internal invoice dated 2/15/16 that regardless of the mileage, in my case the car was sold at 49,712, the MBCPO Warranty will expire on 3/14/2018 OR 27 months of coverage as written. However, after receiving my official MBCPO warranty document and having discussions with the Service Department (who ultimately will be honoring the warranty and any repairs that may arise) the MPCPO (1 year additional warranty) activates once the standard 4year/50,000 mileage warranty end (whichever occurs first). So practically, I only had 288 miles of full original coverage and 1 year additional with the warranty ENDING IN 2017 NOT 2018. The next few days following the sale, I contacted Mr. Anthony, his boss pre-owned sales manager Maciej Samulski, and even the General Sales Manager Joe Rupp in hopes of resolving this matter in a professional manner. However, I have not received any positive correspondences from any of the personnels mentioned. Furthermore, I was told by management if I want PEACE OF MIND, I should PAY $3,000 MORE on top of my purchase price of $24,000 and buy an Extended Warranty to ensure coverage for 2018 and beyond. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE PURCHASING A CAR FROM LOEBER MOTORS PLEASE BEWARE AND READ ALL THE DETAILS CAREFULLY ESPECIALLY IN REGARDS TO WARRANTY DURATION AND COVERAGE. !!!!!!DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID IN EXCITEMENT OF BUYING YOUR 1ST AND LAST MERCEDES FROM LOEBER MOTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had a long association with Loeber Motors, mainly through Bob Dekoy. Mr. James Jajou took care of me this time & he could not have been nicer. My first purchase from Loeber was on the European delivery plan. A very pleasant experience. Now I have purchased my third car. All from Loeber. Yes, they must be doing something right from sales to service I give them a 5 star. I was shopping the net on Car Quotes and they were the first dealership to contact me. I had a total of five contact me. I thought, what the heck, why not go to Loeber first. Needless to say the experience was pleasant. James JaJaou was my salesman and I felt no pressure to buy. He took his time answering all my question so I didn't feel it was necessary to visit the other dealerships. Loeber made me feel at home.

I contacted the dealer thru the chat link because I am deaf. Inquired about the availibility of a car.mwas put on hold, a few minutes later I was told the car is available. I asked to be contacted by email, operator said that she will relay my message to sales.I set up an appointment, I provided my email address and asked the operator to let me know if the car is sold before I get there because I am coming from faraway.Upon my arrival, three hours trip in Chicago rush hour, I was informed that the car was SOLD!!At the dealership the manager stated that the operators should refer to him with customers inquiry,I was put on hold while the operator checked on the availibility.It seems that the dealer's policy is to respond to every inquiry by "car is available", have the customer endure the hardship of making the trip without caring about his/her time, energy and stress.Deceiving practices, liars and absolutely unprofissionals.Avoid dealing with this "fish market" level of business,It you care about your own self.

Dealing with Anthony Whitlock was the best customer service Kathy and I have experienced in a long time. The Mercedes-Benz C300 was for Kathy. Kathy was nervous about the vehicle because of all the electronics. Anthony's knowledge of the vehicle and allowing Kathy to experience the car, test drive, and while parked allowed Kathy to become comfortable with the electronics, buttons and bells and whistles. Kathy is one that gets nervous and anxious on anything that's technical. Anthony's professionalism helped make the purchase of the vehicle and now she's driving in style.

Loeber's asked questions in advance to meet my needs when I arrived. They gave 100% to find the right car. M-B cars have a lot of technology. They train you before you leave the dealership. I feel confident that they will be of service long after the sale. They have beefed up their service since my first car purchase at Loeber's two years ago and I was very pleased with their strong commitment to meeting my needs.

Rating should be lower than this. They required $125 diagnosis to tell them what I told them -- the battery and alternator were shot. They attempted to remove old alternator and broke the timing belt cover. Told us "sorry, it happens, its an old car" ... that will cost over $6000 for us to fix what they broke. We said no and are exploring other options. Clearly no integrity or honesty. Wish I had an opportunity to check out all the reviews before going there but circumstances gave us no choice. If you are able to, choose differently.

Worst Dealership Service Department!!!!! Their Dealership claims to be "Best of the Best" but Service Department is Horrible. Made an appointment and brought my car Sprinter for TPMS issues at 7:30 am. It took 30 minutes before the assigned service advisor came up to me and he did not bother to even introduce himself, I got his name William Lindahl from his calling card from the table. He said I can wait or leave the car as they can't provide me a loaner car which he said is basically Enterprise car rental. He told me it will take at least an hour to diagnose the issue and if they had to change my TPMS it will be another couple of hours and that he will call me to update me of any issues. To cut story short.... I left my car with them and by 11am I had not received any phone calls to update me of what's going on and had to leave multiple messages for Bill Lindahl to call me back only to be told at 2:30 pm that they have not seen my car yet. The incompetent service advisor just forgot about my car. As a consolation he said they can start on my car right away... That's 7 hours after I dropped off my car, after they wasted my time off from work, NO THANKS... went back took my keys and drove my car away from the Worst Service Department Loeber Motors. Save yourself from misery, don't waste your time and bring your car somewhere else.

Walked into the high tech beautiful showroom wanting to test drive a few ml350s. I was specifically looking for a diesel ml 350 Dave Legner politely offered to round up some keys and a license plate and off we went. The car was in very nice condition and drove like a Mercedes should. Dave really knows Mercedes and cars overall. He was able to provide an answer to many details about this particular model. After a short wait, I was given a nice offer to consider I came back again a day later for one more test ride and put all insurance and finance together. The car was cleaned thoroughly and seemed to be buff polished because it stayed clean through a couple of downpoursThis is a Mercedes dealership, they know what customers expect and they deliver. The Sales Manager Joseph Rupp and Master Consultant John Mathis were totally professional. I ordered a car and had very specific preferences for options. They know the cars and options very well and helped me to put together the the car and it turned out exactly as I wanted. In my area the name Loeber means automobiles. I see them everywhere- billboards, license plate holders and dealership locations. Good visibility but what about viability? This dealer performed- from sales to finance to getting the automobile ready earlier than it was promised- and that included the wheel locks ordered but forgotten to be installed. Lucky my sales guy rectified. It is too early for me to know what service will be like. Mercedes just don't need too much time being repaired. That didn't stop me from purchasing a four year maintenance contract or a five year tire and wheel cosmetic policy. I needed that extra degree of comfort. I also purchased this new policy which guards against cracks on the front window all the way to rips or stains in the upholstery. Finally the price offered, admittedly after a pleasant and gentlemanly negotiation, was lower than the one offered by the dealer I previously purchased my last Mercedes from. Shame on the original dealer as they made enough money when they sold me my S63 that they should never have been beaten on price- let alone a difference equal to the cost of the insurance policies added. Once we agreed on the price I then worked with finance. So easy! Loeber's finance guy was bright, experienced and did not waste my time. And somehow the interest rate was cut in half from the time the financing offer was made and when I arrived to execute the documents. Not a bad day in all.

I purchased a 2014 CPO vehicle a few weeks ago and overall my buying experience was good. I was helped and assisted by Tommy Noda during the entire process and will say he is very knowledgeable and makes you feel welcomed. As part of the purchase deal, Tommy promised the all-weather floor mats and a free tank of gas. It turned out that once I bought the vehicle and singed all the paperwork Tommy has FAILED to deliver on his promises and has cheap excuses when weve spoken since then. BEWARE of Tommy Noda if you have him as a sales person for he is all talk and doesnt deliver on his promises. Out of this experience Im leaving very disappointed for its not the mats or gas tank but his word and trust that is more important and unfortunately Ive lost my trust for him and DO NOT recommend anyone using him. Ensure you have a trustworthy salesperson that has your best interest at all times and does not lie to you as a customer.

I called and made sure the vehicle we wanted was still for sale.I drove 2 hours in icy conditions to test drive the vehicle.I test drove the vehicle. I stated more than once I wanted to purchase the vehicle.I was given a good price for the vehicle I wanted to trade in.I filled out the credit application and waited almost 2 hours to speak with the guy who arranges financing.Salesman I dealt with was very skeptical and showed me on a calculator what payments could be before interest rate. I still said I wanted to purchase the vehicle.After waiting 2 hours the salesman came back and said its out of my hands, the other couple got the escalade because they paid cash.I was stunned, as I thought we were purchasing it.So I am not sure what happened. I was told the couple had test drove it before and decided to buy it.From my past experiences, unless you put money down it is free to sale to another, plus I was told the car was not sold when I said I will buy it.I felt the salesman terminated my deal because he believed I could not get financing and that allowed another couple to buy the escalade after us.I feel as if I have been wrongly judged and discriminated against by the salesmans actions.I complained to management but no amends were made.

Decided to give Loeber another try after very bad visit with Mike Sullivan and his manage. Fortunately this visit was meet with more honesty, friendliness and professionalism. After swearing never to visit this dealership again, I will be visiting soon for a new car purchase.

Jeff and Dan were extremely helpful and knowledgable!! These individuals make me feel I get my monies worth for my car!! Many people tell me they feel they always get jipped at their service depts; however, in the 6 years I have been at this service dept, and not once did I feel this way working with Jeff and Dan!

Bought a 2006 E320 CDI in Aug 2010. The trip to get the car was over 4 hours one way so I relied a great deal on the honesty of the salesman. Mario stated that the car was in like new condition (maybe I'm wrong but new cars don't have scratches and door dings) and that the tires had at least 50% left (Mario said their policy is to replace if less than that). The price for the car I seen on the internet was a good deal. We agreed on a price and set a time to pick up the car. Mario called back the next day and told me that the car was in the body shop because of a scratch near the back passenger side tire he didnt notice. It was great that he called to inform me of this and that they took care of it but they want me to pay for the repair because they priced the car too low! I canceled the deal because I don't do business like that. After two days Mario called back to confirm I didn't want the car which I ended up agreeing to pay the extra against my better judgment. These cars are hard to find after all! When I got to the dealer I found that the car had a scratch on the trunk and a door ding on the back driver side door. They did a poor wax job not getting all the wax off (not a big deal but it just adds to the fact they dont seem to care). Then I noticed the tires were in poor shape (needed replaced). At this point it was obvious that Mario and gang were only there to sell a car with no regard to honesty! So after driving over 4 hours I had to decide if I buy the car as it sits or leave. Not a happy place to be after looking for this exact car for weeks. I ended up taking the car because they are hard to find.I drive over 25,000 miles a year of mostly interstate (easy driving) so these miles I'm about to list came fast. All the breaks had to be replaced in less than 10,000 miles. The tires literally started falling apart in less than 10,000 miles (the cords were showing on one and I lost part of the tread on another). I had to have the area they had "fixed" repainted the following spring. Im sure others have had a bad experience with this dealer and encourage them to share about it here.
