I traded in a vehicle at Long McArthur ford a few days ago and Scott Sitton made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. I was treated very well and was given a loaner vehicle so I was able to leave and do whatever I wished while the service department swapped over some things from my vehicle to the new one. The whole dealership seems above average for service and efficiency, also friendliness. I will definitely keep them in mind if I'm ever in the market for another vehicle. I have dealt with many other dealerships over the years and this place is by far the best.

What a great experience! First communication was with Alisha Estrada. She was very helpful and got us all the information we needed. Drove up on Black Friday and they were waiting for us. Darin Lee had the car inside, warmed up and ready for us to inspect. Low-pressure yet helpful, informative and honest. I was looking for a used 2010 LR 4 land rover for approximately a month on the Internet. And I found a used 2011 with the least amount of miles so far that I've been looking for at the best price. I call the Internet people at long McArthur ford and talk to Alicia. She is very friendly helpful she was great she pulled the car inside in a Ice storm and had it ready for us when we got there to look at it and test drive in a ice storm. We got together with Darin lee in sales when we got there , the drive took us a lot longer than norm do to the ice storm but they were going to stay as long as needed and keep the dealership open for us. We test drove the vehicle loved it talk price we agreed upon it and purchased it that night. The manager Sales Man and finance guy stayed over an hour longer than they should have just to take care of us we appreciate them and would buy another vehicle there again

We like the service we receive so well that we take time to stop in Salina on the way to see our children and grandchildren in Eastern Kansas. Long McArthur loans us a Lincoln, since we own a Lincoln, so we can eat lunch while they change oil, do their inspection, and clean the car inside and out. We do not get the same service at our local dealer.

This was a oil change service. The service department lets me bring the oil I want to used, I buy the oil filter from the service dept and of course pay for the labor. Not all dealership departments will let owners do that.

I had a knocking noise in the engine of our Lincoln Navigator.. I talked to the service rep Tim and he got it in and had it checked out. Turned out they had to replace the motor. During the time I was without my vehicle Michelle gave me a loaner which it ended up being a week because they had to order parts..During that time Tim kept me informed as to what was going on.. I leased my car from Long McArthur and it was time for the first oil change. The oil was changed, the tires were rotated, they checked/topped off the other fluids, washed my car and cleaned the inside front windshield. The service I receive from employees is always fantastic. The waiting area is large, has a tv, bottled water, coffee, and a vending machine. Best service I have ever had!

I have been able to call or email our salesman Ben Ashmore with our needs or problem, wants, and he gets back to me with some options. This way I do not have to spend a lot of time at the dealership. When I arrive he has the vehicle ready, the paperwork ready. The same goes for service. When I pull up, since I have a Linclon they have a Lincoln rental ready for me while my car gets serviced and washed, they call me when mine is done. A few weeks ago my low tire pressure lights came on, I called the service center and asked if they could check them, they advised to come on in. When I pulled up someone was waiting for me. I was told to go on in and get a cup of coffee and they would check all my tires. A few minutes later the gentlemen returned and advised due to the cold weather change all my tires need air and he had taken care of it, no charge.

I have already filled one of these out...more than a week ago. I'm not sure why I keep getting them. My husband actually did the car shopping; I only went back to sign the dotted line. Therefore, I have no opinion regarding the service during the actual sale. As far as servicing the car, I was NOT impressed with the fact that a one hour update took ALL day due to poor internet connection! The people were friendly.

I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. Darin Lee suggested a F150 but I was set on the F250. After about 5 or 6 test drives I choose the Platinum F150. Darin knew from the beginning what truck would be best but allowed me to take the long road to come to my on conclusion. Go to Long McArthur and see Darin. You will not regret that decision.

Chris Herbst is a great salesman our family has bought three trucks and one car from him and the last year and we have recommened him to others who have been pleased. The service dept (Tim Ohlde) is a joke he will not return phone calls on problems nor keep you up to date on repairs. Ford knows they have a problem with f-350 trucks carrying a load and they will not do anything but charge you to make a decision to have the problem loaded or unloaded.

My wife took her mustang in for an oil change. After sitting there for an hour and a half she asked what was taking so long, she was told they were rotating the tires. The tires on a mustang GT can not be rotated because the back tires are much bigger than the front. This is by far the worse shop Ive ever been to.

I always get my oil change done at Long McArthur and in past would give them A+ rating. Last oil change last week very disappointing . Waited 3 hours for oil change and there were very few customers there. Guy I was dealing with said he paged me overhead to tell me car done, but those overhead speakers are hard to understand. Less than 5 people in the waiting area, he could have come over and told me personally car was ready. I should have stuck with the guys I usually deal with. They always come over and tell me to my face car is ready. This guy could care less.

As usual Phil got me right in and got started on my repairs. I was done within a day and was completely satisfied with the results. For sure no one likes having to spend a lot of money on getting back on the road, but when you are treated like family it makes the medicine much easier to swallow.After much consideration I decided to upgrade to a newer vehicle. Looking to trade in our Grand Cherokee for a car. Found some Fusions online. Stopped by the dealership on a Saturday afternoon just to glance at them. Was not pushed or haggled with. Went in to trade my car in for a used car. Pretty good service and willing to work a good price out. Only thing really negative is they told me they'd put new brake boosters on but had to wait for the part to come in...2weeks later I'm still waiting, other thing is I had them do a few other things and had them add their interior and paint protectants, they said they'd have done the next day after I purchased the vehicle and they never got to it until two days later. But overall still a pretty good dealer. Not shifty like some other dealers in the area.

Braydon was very friendly, knowledgeable, and not a pushy salesman. He was also personable asking questions about our work and relating to it. He was honest which in turn made us feel that we could be honest with him about our thoughts on the negotiating process. The process was a little lengthy with a lot of sitting wait time to see all the different people we needed to see to complete the purchasing process. Had to replace a tire that had the sidewall ruined. The Continental tires have not proven to be reliable at all on this car. The replacement tire cost $259.00 and I believe that is absolutely too high. Service writer Phil is great. Professional, knowledgeable, very polite. Work by the tech was ok, left the interior of the car cleaner than when he started changing the radio module. only reason for the 3 rating on quality of repairs was that ALL functions of the new radio module (remanufactured) did not work----would not load a CD. Young tech has to learn to completely check his work before he says he's done. Talked to Phil, he got the tech to check, and they immediately ordered another module. I am sure that second attempt will get the job done.

Had the Works service done on my 2012 F-150 with 16K miles on it, took around 1.5 hrs, they washed and back fast enough, they were low pressure on pushing repairs, they did bring up on issue (Wiper Blades) and asked if I wanted them replaced or not, I said no and they said OK and were not pushy about it at all, They have nice waiting areas good coffee and bottled water. This was my second visit and they have been good so far

I scheduled an oil change with tire rotation as I had done before. When I checked in with my truck, 2 of the guys that do the check in were just super nice and witty. While I was waiting in the lobby I noticed how very clean the inside area was. There was coffee and bottled water along with 2 vending machines. The staff would smile and or nod as they walked past me. When my truck was finished, a service lady came to get me and she explained everything that was checked/serviced on my truck. I recently bought a vehicle on the internet, and asked the sales rep to do an entire search for dings/scratches/blemishes. Upon receiving the vehicle (bought it sight unseen), it had a 5" scratch that had been touched up. After contacting 3 individuals at the dealership to complain and ask for service, I submitted an estimate for repair, and was assured that all would be taken care of. They still tried the old "we'll split it with you" line, and forced me to threaten escalation and get ugly. The sales manager relented and sent a check. Scott went out of his way to make sure we were educated on the truck before we left the lot, which meant staying late even on a Friday night. 2015 F-350. Staff is great! Service is terrible, the service team needs some serious training. Buying the truck was great but I had many things done to it as far as upgrades and some of them were not done correctly. I paid to have mudflaps installed then had to take them off and re install myself, I was not offered the money back That I had payed to have them put on. When 1st service was done, some of the things were not done AND I got my truck back with greasy hand prints all over the hood and door handles. Second service was somewhat better but I still don't feel comfortable having my vehicle worked on at long Mac.

However I do feel that after a vehicle is serviced it the vehicle should be washed upon completion, not wait until the customer suggest that it be washed and possibly vacuumed. Especially when your competition are trying to image you. You must always stay one step ahead. We live in Hays (90+ miles away). I have been a loyal customer to Long McArthur ever since we bought my car from them in 2011. I had full service scheduled for June 30, 2014, along with installation of some aftermarket parts, including a hood scoop, which they said they had done before. (My husband had suggested that I take it to Xibit Customs in Hays for the aftermarket stuff but I went against his wishes.) So, here's what happened. As my car was being transferred from service to the body shop, I noticed an awful squeaking sound. (They had just put on new wheels and caliper covers.) I was later told that the covers were rubbing on the rotors but should eventually grind themselves down, so I let it go. After everything was supposedly done and my car was back outside, I noticed that it had not been washed as I had requested. I told them and they got it washed. I also saw that the hood scoop was not flush against the hood as it was gapping on both sides. Thinking that nothing could be done about it, I left with about 50% overall satisfaction. One week and 300+ miles later, I took it to Xibit Customs. They removed the caliper covers, made some minor adjustments and got rid of the squeaking. I asked them about the hood scoop and they said that they could in fact remove it, replace the adhesive and add 2 more screws to eliminate the gaps. They made it look just as it should have the first time around. Several days later, I sent an email to Eric in the body shop in pursuit of compensation for the $110 scoop re-mount. He told me that they had used everything provided in the kit and if additional screws were needed then that is up to the customer as they can not install screws that aren't already there. I can not believe that a certified Ford body shop couldn't acquire 2 extra screws to help properly mount a hood scoop specifically designed for my 2011 Mustang!! Apparently, Long Mac did not really care about my satisfaction with their work, since nobody even took the time to discuss it with me before I left. (And I seriously doubt that it would have done any good to go back in and complain about it before leaving.) What my husband had to say: "I told you so." "Live and learn." "We'll just have to eat it now." :-( UPDATE: As of 8/14/2014, I am very pleased to announce that my issues with Long McArthur have been resolved. They were very apologetic about my experience and also very eager to make things right. They sent me a check for compensation for my extra expenses to have the job done right and even offered to fill my car with gas the next time I am in Salina. In fact, they encouraged me to just stop by. It is nice to know that these guys truly do care about their customers and want them to be nothing less than happy when they drive off their lot. However, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage Long McArthur employees to take the time to communicate more with their customers, both before AND after their work is done.

I had recently found out that the Shelby Mustang GT350 had been discontinued a few months back. I had intended to buy one in a year or two, but realized that I had waited too long. None were available anywhere in my area (Chicagoland, IL), and in fact on autotrader.com, I found a total of 3 for sale in the entire U.S. Two of them were in Las Vegas and the dealer had marked them both up an additional $20K. The other was at LongMcArthur Ford and to my surprise, the car wasn't marked up at all, and in fact may even have been discounted some. I figured that there was no way the car would actually still be available, but emailed them about it anyway. I was surprised to hear that the car was in fact available.Living over 600 miles away though, I was concerned about being able to buy a car that far away, and also that I may not be able to get there in time to before someone else got it. After all, it was only one of three Shelby Mustang GT350's left for sale in the entire U.S., and who can just up and take a 600 mile trip on a moments notice? Not to worry, Shelby Weis (who awesome is that.... the saleswoman's name is Shelby) informed me that the purchase could be handled remotely and I could get the car delivered and that I could put a deposit to ensure no one else bought it first.Bill Rogge handled the sale from there, and it must be said that they have a very efficient system set up at LongMcArthur, where people handle specific aspects of the sale to make the whole process very smooth. Shelby Weis handled the online part of the sale, Bill Rogge handled the overall sale, getting me a fantastic 1.75% finance rate. Paperwork was overnighted to me to sign everything, and they provided a postage-paid return envelope as well to send the paperwork back to them.I had initially intended to pick the car up, but this proved difficult. Not to worry, they'll deliver the car for you! For $750, the car was shipped to me. Considering it would have taken me two days to get the car from there back home again myself, not to mention having to have someone dog-sit for me, someone to drive me there, gas money, and also over 600 miles on my new car, this is a fantastic deal. Not just monetarily, but convenience-wise as well. Darrin Hurd handled the shipping and everything went smoothly and he made sure to keep me updated and also checked to make sure everything went OK with the delivery and that I was happy with the car. All in all, a great experience and these guys clearly know the ropes when it comes to dealing with out of state car buyers. The fact that they didn't mark the price up to gouge the customer when other dealers were doing the same thing recently speaks to the kind of people they are at LongMcArthur. I saw a car from cars.com that I thought may have met my requirements, I just needed more information so I emailed the dealership changing the generic 'hello, I am interested in the..' blah blah blah. I had specific questions on the configuration of seats and some other questions. I was, I felt, spammed twice with generic emails asking me about when I wanted to come test drive and generally other questions which weren't pertinent considering I was 3 hrs away and wasn't sure if the vehicle met my requirements anyways. Finally, that afternoon I received an email from a real person but by then I found a vehicle elsewhere and was entirely too turned off by the automation to buy there anyways. It probably is standard practice this day in age but receiving an email right away doesn't increase my buying experience unless it is giving me information that I need. I'd rather have nothing than spam.

I bought a Focus this weekend at Long McArthur and was very happy with all the staff I worked with. On the sales side I worked with Dan Penner and RD Deming. Both were very friendly and helpful. I never felt pressure, just a concern to help get me in the best car to serve my needs. I test drove 3 different cars with RD & he answered all my questions and helped me see the how all the different features of each would fit with my lifestyle (2 kids) and he never hurried me. Dan went over the paperwork and helped me work out the "deal" and how to do the financeing. He got me what I felt was the best possible price on my trade in and really made me feel like he was on my side. I then worked with Keegan in the aftermarket department who was very helpful on getting me the tent I wanted for a great price (looks perfect)! My wife and I were in the neighborhood looking at another vehicle when we decided to stop by Long McArthur and I'm sure glad we did. We arrived at 6:45 pm on a Friday evening and stayed past closing to finish the contracts. The sales staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable enough. The only negative aspect of shopping at Long McArthur is the pricing of used vehicles, in order for the salesman to quote a price he must confer with somebody in the office taking 5 to 15 min. We left Long McArthur over slipping customer service (only ever purchased from them), but after a few years away, decided to try them again since they are local and that's how we met Shawn. He is one of the most personable and kind people we've come across, let alone for a car sales person. Not once did we get the impression that Shawn was judging us, or becoming frustrated with the negotiations. In fact, he had a great sense of humor throughout and he even went and picked lunch up for us while we were waiting to close the deal.You can't go to any car dealer anymore and not spend hours haggling through the complex process of the sales manager, but Shawn made that process pretty smooth. We purchased a new Lincoln. Rod met us outside and answered the many questions we had. On our test drives he showed us the functions of the vehicles. During the buying process a minor issue arose from misunderstanding an issue. Rich, the sales manager, immediately came over to assist. He introduced us to the body shop manager who solved the issue to our complete satisfaction. Rod introduced us to the service manager who answered the questions about maintenance of the vehicle we decided to purchase. Every person we met that day was friendly and went out of the way to help us. We usually purchase a new vehicle every five years. This purchase was far and away the best experience we have ever had. I would not hesitate to recommend Long MacArthur and our salesman, Rod E. to anyone.

I/we like to give great people great reviews. I must say, Mike Lett has treated us like we were the only customer he had. He (and when he got really busy, he had another young and very professional salesman help us) ask us what kind of a vehicle we thought we wanted. He made some very important and impressive suggestions, and gave us reasons for his recommendations. We spent 4 - 5 hours at the dealership on Saturday, and left owning a different vehicle. When I picked up the new vehicle on Monday, it was ready when Mike said it would be. He then spent time with me, in the vehicle, explaining all of the "gadgets", how they all worked and made double sure I knew what he had taught me. I was able to leave the dealership like I had driven the new vehicle for several months. I will continue to HIGHLY recommend Long-McArthur to everyone. I do not think there is a better more honest Ford dealer around. Give the guys a pat on the back and tell them to keep up the good work! I just purchased a new 2013 F150 supercrew 4x4. Darin worked hard at finding my very exact specs and the price was 5000 less than anyone in the Salina/Wichita area. Darin and the Long McArthur crew went over and above to find the truck and when they went to go get it, (after I had already purchased it and signed all the paperwork), at a dealer in Oklahoma it was not as advertised and was not in acceptable shape. I believe they were looking out for my satisfaction and best interest when they refused to accept a new truck that was filthy and had burn holes in the seat from dealer employees driving the truck. Darin found me another one in Texas which had more options, better color and more chrome but my price remained the same. I will only deal with Darin and Long McArthur from this point forward and will be seeing him soon for a car for my daughter before she leaves for college in August.

Darrin Smith was a wonderful salesman. He was way more helpful than I expected, and I expected a lot. Luke in aftermarket was great too. Only complaint was in the finance office when I had said no to some of the add-on warranties I felt badgered and even felt like I was being talked down to at points. I have no problem being asked if I want something but should not have to say no more than once, certainly not three times and should NEVER have someone trying to sell me something try to make me feel like I don't know what I am talking about. When I got back in a few years for another car, and I will most likely go back here, I will ask to not have to work with that finance guy if he is still there.

Every time we had new car fever, Rob worked hard to find the vehicle we wanted at the price we could afford. I've never feel pressured, rushed or dismissed. As a female who loves cars - especially muscle cars, going in alone to look at a Mustang has never been intimidating. Regardless of whether my husband is with me or not, I'm always treated as a valued customer. I've been to other dealerships where I was barely given the time of day when looking around on the lot alone - only to go back with my husband and have three different sales people approach us before we could turn around. You'll be pleasantly surprised!Unfortunately our salesman Rob Peterman no longer works there. However, when we're in the market for a new car, Long McArthur will be still be our first choice. Not only do we buy our vehicles there, we only take them to their service department and body shop. Phil Spillman in their service department is wonderful to work with! Whether it's a noise that you need them to listen to, your regular oil change or warranty work, he always listens and makes sure your concerns are addressed and your vehicle is repaired correctly.We've had two of our vehicles worked on in their body shop and we couldn't be happier with the results! Scott is definitely the person to talk to if you've had a wreck or hail damage. I live in Colorado where it's virtually impossible to find a Ford truck with a V10. Through the internet, I came across what appeared to be the perfect truck at Long McArthur. The challenge however was the 500 miles separating us. I've never done a long distance deal like this and admittedly had a number of reservations, the first being was the truck really as nice as the pictures and description said. Needless to say, I talked myself into making the drive and man am I glad I did so. I'm a pretty picky buyer and the truck was exactly as described and then some. We stopped by the dealership on a whim, looking to replace my wife's 1995 hatchback. Shawn was very helpful in showing us a 2014 Fiesta SE hatchback, but we had to get home to unload groceries. We had a beautiful 1997 Lincoln Town Car with way too many miles on it and mentioned how we loved it to Bill Weaverling, but that we were hesitant to take it on trips because of the large number of miles we had on it. Bill is the world's best at taking care of his customers, so when we told him our feelings about the car, he immediately had a possible answer for us. He said he might have a Town Car exactly like ours coming in on a trade soon and it had very low mileage on it and was in top like-new condition. We told him we were definately interested and ask that he call us if it became available.Bill called us the minute the owners brought the car in to trade on a new one (they were there dealing at the time) and said it was in the lot if we wanted to see it. Boy, did we! We jumped in the car and headed out to Long McArthur and saw it as soon as we drove in. It was exactly as Bill had described it to us and we knew we wanted it. We had brought our Ford Ranger in for repairs because it was running very rough. They saw that some lines were leaking, so they ran diagnostic tests, and decided that certain things needed to be completed, which they did (which involved bringing in an extended warranty company rep from Wichita to get permission for the repairs).. Unfortunately, their diagnostics were not done properly or completely, because the truck still ran poorly right after leaving their lot. The truck was brought back, and all that they found, supposedly after running another diagnostic, was that the spark plugs were dirty and the fuel system needed to be drained. They specifically stated that there were no mechanical problems, just maintenance issues. When they told us it would cost close to $600 for the service and maintenance, after we had just paid close over $400 for the previous repairs that they had done, we hesitated and decided not to have the work done there. I took the truck to another dealer closer to our home, and they just had to look under the hood and remove some covers to realize that something was seriously wrong. Of course the extended warranty company required another computer diagnostic before they would approve any work, and so we had to pay for another diagnosis AND to pay for a separate deductible. Our new dealer did the required diagnostic and discovered that the gasket and values had needed to be replaced. IF Long-McArthur had done their diagnostics correctly in the first place, we wouldn't have had to pay extra deductibles and extra diagnostic charges.

After a really bad experience with a Ford Dealership in Junction City Kansas, we decided to get away from the Fort Riley area on our search for a replacement for our current car. We looked online at Long McArthurs inventory of used vehicles, which was great I might add, and found one that we were interested in. We scheduled an appointment and came to see the car. When we arrived we were introduced to Scott Sitton, our salesman. From that moment our experience was nothing short of great. The car was in out of the weather waiting for us. All of the details were explained, reports shown in their entirety, and friendly service from start to finish. At the end of the day we understand that everybody has bills to pay and needs to eat but at Long McArthur you would have never known that. We were looking for a used, lower mileage vehicle at a reasonable cost. We test drove quite a few vehicles between Salina and Manhattan. Darrin Smith was friendly, understanding and did his best to find us the vehicle we were looking for. We communicated by phone, in person and on email and each time he was very helpful. The buying process took a bit longer than we would have liked. We did haggle over the price a bit (who doesn't?!), but quickly came to terms that we each could live with. We would definitely recommend Long McArthur for buying vehicles. I have heard service is also great, but don't know first hand yet!

My experience with Long McArthur was great. We bought a used Chevrolet Tahoe and traded in our Chevrolet Traverse. Most of the process was done online or by telephone at my convenience and was always friendly. There was no harassment or pressure and ultimately we got everything we wanted without having to make a sacrifice. Our total time at the dealership was maybe 45 minutes including the test drive from start to finish. Dealing with Michael McArthur, Malory Sweat, and the financing personnel was totally easy and stress free. There was no pressure selling of additional coverages. They asked me once if I wanted the gap insurance or other warranties and that was it. The trade in process was the best and I will recommend Long McArthur to anyone regardless of their automobile needs.

Was given an acceptable offer for trade-in, but monthy payments not what we wanted, Salesman came back with the payments in the range we wanted we signed the paper agreeing to the purchase and the trade-in only to be told in less than 5 mins they could not do the deal with the payments as such. We were in a hurry because we were have a new grandbaby being born. I think it was the old bait and swith method of getting us to sign. The salesman was all apologtic and said he had made the mistake of getting the wrong paperwork. After thinking about it awhile we should have held them to the payments they had quoted and we had signed for. I wonder how many other people this has happened to by this dealership. Seems if the dealership does this as a habit they need to be more careful about the paperwork they have the customers sign. Do we plan on going back probably not to buy only for work. Had to have bodywork done on new truck three days after purchase, the body shop personnel was great.

Service was poor after deciding to buy the vehicle.They had the vehicle twice and did not complete the agreed upon written items to fix.One scratch was colored in with a black marker. The whole experience was a hassle including the experience in the showroom once it was agreed to buy the vehicle. It took a long time and had to go through two offices. The price of the vehicle that was agreed upon was changed on the agreement but this was reversed but I did not appreciate this deception.My check was returned and the vehicle was picked up as there did not seem to be any interest in making the agreed upon items fixed.

When I came to the Dealership, I only wanted information on the vehicles you have. I met Rod and he told me to have a seat. He offered me a bottle of water, and he asked me what I was looking for. I told him that I was only wanted to get some informations. He told me they are new and used vehicles, what was I looking for? I told him that I needed a pickup f150, he also asked me what color I told him gold. He told me to hold on a minute he will be right back. He came back and told me to come with him, I went out side with him and he showed me a truck that blew my mind. He spoke to his boss and they sent me home to Junction City with the truck. Rod is very knowlegable of the vehicle. He gave me a class on setting up my phone, the radio, and the rest of the electronics and he made it seems so simple.
