Went in to begin an engine oil consumption test due to letter from scion. First visit they explained I would need to replace my valve cover gasket due to the presence of a very small amount of oil they explained they could do this for 160.00. Now for a 20 dollar gasket and 30 min of labor this seemed unacceptable so I left and changed the gasket myself for 20 dollars, the service advisor explained that I could change the oil myself to begin the test so I did. Brought it in for my appointment to begin the test. It was then explained to me that they would need to do an oil change for 45 dollars. I explained what I was told and they insisted the oil needed to be changed, fine do I did and they started the test (visit #2). During the prescribed 1100 miles needed the marking tape fell off of the dip stick due to poor application. Went back after 1100 miles (visit #3) had to wait for almost 2 hrs so they could verify my oil level. They finally came out and stated it had consumed a lot of oil and had failed the test BUT they had forgot to enter the proper code into the computer so I would need to drive another 2-300 miles and bring it back and they had changed the oil again. So I drive 258 miles and bring it back (visit 4) this time magically the engine had not consumed a drop of oil after drinking oil like gas for the last 3 years now it is no longer consuming oil, yeah right. So now I have been told to begin the test again and drive for another 1100 miles and go back again (visit 5) to get the results. What a joke!

My husband and I were in Malloy Toyota this past week, looking for a used vehicle within our budget...we had the opportunity to work with a couple of really wonderful men. Mr.Linn ( internet sales manager) and Mr. Tom Shields ( Toyota salesman) Both of these gentlemen were fantastic. Toyota couldn't give me a complete pay off for my trade-in...and I couldn't afford to have the roll-over, as we were leaving a man sitting at a desk, ask my husband what we were gonna do with a vehicle that had 120000 miles on it? my husband replied ..drive it. Now, mind you, our trade in was a 2010 TOYOTA Prius !!! He (the man behind the desk...who , we found out later..is named Scott) continued to talk very loudly and tell us, our car was no good, it had too many miles on it and we NEEDED to take the deal we were offered !!! it ended up... a yelling match between my husband and Scott .. as I was walking out the door , in tears !!! The salesman ( Tom) followed me out the door, to apologize, for the 3rd time. I felt bad for Tom, as he had nothing to do with the situation that unfolded. There were other customers in the showroom, who heard everything being said....Scott down grading my Prius , very un-professionally !! I did receive a phone call the next day from the sales manager Michael Helms apologizing about the day before. But...as far as I am concerned...I will never recommend this dealership to any of my family or friends !!! at least not as long as "Scott" is working there !! And I will let everyone I know how I was treated there.!!! With that all said and done....I still love Toyota...and will purchase another one....Just not at this dealership....which is very sad, because I always try (if possible ) to buy locally !!!

Bought a used 2015 Honda from here. The service was awful. The oil needed to be changed so I told them for me to buy the car id like the oil to be changed. And they wouldn't do it for free. I thought they would've already changed the oil before placing it on the lot. Well I was wrong..... Never again will I buy a car from Malloy Toyota!

We drove two hours to look at a white 2015 4 Runner. We got there and a really nice salesman offered to help. Unfortunately, the car had been damaged and repaired...no Carfax record, but the paint was a different color and the bumper was crooked. The second unfortunate part of our visit was the business manager. He was not helpful and borderline rude. He wouldn't budge on the price and low balled our car. We left. Less than a week later, we found a 2016 4 Runner with no miles for less! Same car. The other dealership treated us VERY well and gave us a fair price for our car. We highly recommend doing your research before walking into this dealership. We found their practices shady.

Just purchased a 2016 4Runner. Was exceptionally pleased with Trevor Hott, my salesman. After my initial visit I indicated there were other options I wanted to explore, without driving me crazy as most salespeople would he said he understood, but would appreciate a chance to earn my business. He stayed in touch over the next few weeks, but wasn't high pressure. I ended up returning to explore options and pricing with him, and we quickly arrived at a solution that worked well for both parties. Quality guy and I would highly recommend him if you live anywhere close to Winchester Virginia. WAY different than my experiences buying cars from dealers in the Northern Virginia area, where within five minutes you know a) you don't trust the person and b) the negotiations are going to be a nightmare. Worth the drive to deal with him if you are interested in a Toyota.

4/21/15. Needed female end of seat belt driver side replaced (intermittent failure to lock up) for 2009 Corolla. Part is $40.00 and requires seat to be partially unbolted then you unclip two electrical connectors and remove the assembly via the (one) seat belt anchor bolt. When I questioned 1.5 hours ($150.00) labor charge, service manager called in the mechanic who did the work. The mechanic handed me the old/original part and rudely told me that he would "put my old part back on and let YOU do it." Considering that this is SUPPOSED to take HIM 1.5 hours of labor, the whole thing was somewhat farcical. Then the service manager told me that I was (essentially) calling the mechanic a liar for questioning the charge (i.e. "you know what you are really saying when you question his work don't you?" Then asked me "what do YOU do" and said that I was "questioning a PHD of Toyota repairs." In other words, I wasn't qualified to ask ANY questions or seek clarification. I explained that while anything is possible and sometimes small things are expensive to get at and replace, THIS PART seemed pretty straightforward with two clips and a bolt. Finally, when I said "Just give me the bill and I will take it up with the Regional Toyota Representative," the Service person said that "We can charge whatever we wish," implying that Toyota Inc. had no responsibility/oversight for their service/labor charges. Finally, after a decent wait while they checked their computer screens, the Service Manager agreed to reduce the cost to 70 dollars. Considering that I bought the car from these folks to begin with (as well as ANOTHER Toyota), the chances of me buying another are slim to none and slim just left town.

I have had nothing but trouble since this dealership changed hands. Now they aren't just rude they are also Dishonest. They're lack of communication has made it hard to trust what they say or do. Agreeing to pay one value, only to be charge twice that at pickup of my car. At which point I have to fight to get it corrected. I would also point out that this dealership is new, any reviews before the name change was a different owner and staff. They might have been rude at times but I could work with them. Now I wish I didn't buy my last car here. Anything so I don't have to deal with the poor customer service and care.The Poor Cashier had to deal with the issue as no one communicated with us about anything.

I own three cars which I purchased at a fair price from the prior owner of this dealership. Since the new owner has taken the time to make thing worse than I can deal with I look forward to the day when I replace all three any don't need to deal with the dealership. The pain of getting service from rude and dis-honest people. They will do anything they can to find a way to not talk to you about your request and then tell you your wrong when you can show them the problem. The only reason I get any service here is because the next closest dealer is 30 miles away. Time to find a service center that I can trust till I no longer need these cars.

Very inviting and quite nice at first. However, they DO NOT appreciate an educated buyer, and believe their vehicles are worth much more than book value. Their salesman indicated the finance group would consider working on lowered pricing, but when questioned, they deferred to the salesman who ABSOLUTELY refused to loose any of his commission with a price reduction. He took a rather stern approach with my daughter... who proceed to tell him to take his "well over book value" car and........! Expressed her disdain for their business practices and politely wished him luck selling it. Im sure he did.... but we were not inclined to be taken advantage of based on their assumption we were desperate for subprime lending and their overpriced, dented, used vehicle. Their mistake....! I'd steer clear of this place at all cost as they believe allowing you to purchase a vehicle from them.... comes with a 499.00 service fee ! BAAAAHAHAHA !! Buyer beware !!

After an accident that wrecked our 2003 Toyota Tundra, we were in the market for a new SUV or truck capable of pulling our 22 foot boat. Jason spent over half a day patiently helping us figure out what we needed and wanted. Our growing family was in the market for a minivan (our sixth car). Having gone through the process before, we were dreading it, however we were pleasantly surprised with our experience at Malloy Toyota. We were taken care of by Scott Henderson, who showed us different options, took us on a few test runs, and answered all of our questions. Scott was the most knowledgeable, polite and courteous sales person we've ever dealt with and I'm hoping he can help us again in the future. We've been bought from Koons Chevrolet, Koons Honda, and Ted Britt Ford....but our experience at Malloy blew all of them out of the water. So glad we took a chance on heading outside of the usual NOVA dealers. We will happily go back.

The salesperson (Trevor) was very helpful, listened to me and made a recommendation that I eventually purchased (although I went there with something else in mind). He did his job very well and was professional and friendly while doing it. The used 2013 Matrix is in excellent condition, but there was little room to discuss price (original price given in error was bottom line) and no real contact with the manager. The process went (somewhat) smoothly, although they only had one finance person on duty, and it took more than two hours to complete my purchase even though I was purchasing outright. The finance lady (Mrs. Foster) was fast, efficient and very nice once I was able to get to her. The one true irritation is that I spent $17,000 on their vehicle and Malloy Toyota wouldn't give me a full gas tank! Really? This left a bad taste in my mouth and I doubt I'll go back to them if they're going to be that stinking cheap.

They talked to us in detail about the vehicle and we test drove it. We talked about it some more and decided to purchase it. When we were ready to sit down and sign for it the salesman we were dealing with told us that the price listed on the internet was wrong. It was REALLY wrong apparently. The manager, Mr. Vogel, was very abrupt with us when we discovered this mistake and barely offered an apology for the inconvenience and complete waste of time and fuel to see the car they had advertised. He blamed the mistake on the company that lists the vehicles online and took no responsibility for it. Severely disappointed in not only this big mistake but their customer service as well. Won't be dealing with this dealership again.

I was shopping for an upgrade looking at a few modles of crossovers. I ended up at Mallory from advertising for speacials and interest in the Rav4. I dealt with Tia Oren, it was a great experience she was kind, considerate (no pushy vibe at all!) and patient (I was shopping/buying with a one year old in tow). After test drive the paperwork started, I understand this is always a lengthy process and many of the delays are out of the car dealers control. I gave three stars on the buying process just because of the time The actual buying part took. While waiting and waiting all of the staff was friendly and helpful, everyone was very great to deal with. On top of that i really came away feeling like the were working for me to get the vehicle, and more importantly with me in getting what i wanted and affordable!

The dealer and salesperson (Jerry Clark) was friendly and well-informed... not at all pushy or aggressive. Kern gave me a fair trade-in price for two vehicles I traded in... both matched or exceeded what Edmunds and KBB said I should receive. No hassle with the new car price... negotiated to 150 dollars over invoice. Sales experience was exceptional, which has been my experience with this dealership over several years. New car was prepped and ready when the dealer said it would be with no hang-ups or mistakes. I have bought six vehicles from this dealership and all experiences have been positive, with the latest being no exception and in fact one of the best experiences I have had in buying a new vehicle.

The new car buying is a process I hate and at 62 I have donemany times. The new car price and trade in value were very respectable. In March 2013, I needed a new vehicle because my 2000 Honda of 14 years has had it. I was told by a family member to go to Kern Toyota in Winchester. I walked in the showroom and was not pushed at all!! I was greeted by a sales consultant named Ken Cooper. I had lots of questions and was on a tight budget. Ken worked with me from the onset and when I had more questions , he was there to help me even more. I even brought my wife in to meet him and she also had questions :-). I even met Mr.Kern himself. Let me tell you, Ken will take care of you. He will work with you until you are satisfied. I would recommend Kern Toyota to everyone. But please see Ken Cooper, he is awesome!! Thanks Ken! By the way, I now have a 2010 Rav4 to replace my dead Honda!!

This was the easiest car buying process I have had-15th car (1st Toyota) in 20 years. I worked with Scott Henderson-he is friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. Readily answers questions, gives an honest answer, and knows about the Toyota brand (and many others). They let me take the car for a 1/2 day test drive, took care of all the paperwork before I arrived, and got me through the buying process in about an hour.Pricing was comparable to Northern VA dealers-slightly more, but much less hassle not having to drive down there and back. Plus there is something to be said for buying locally. I do feel like I can always go back to Scott if there is ever an issue.Dealership seems solid-have not used service yet, but finance (Roger) was easy to work with as well.

We are repeat customers for Kern Toyota. 7 years now and we just bought our 3rd vehicle. The only reason we bought the 3rd was because we now have a toddler and needed a roomier car. We have never had a problem and are always satisfied. We don't even bother to look anywhere else anymore. I simply call, remind them that I have bought there before, tell them what I am looking for, and when I get to the lot, they have hand selected cars for me to check out. I requested info on a 4x4 Rav4 and within a very short time, Jerry responded to it. I called and spoke with Jerry and was most pleased with his calm reassuring voice and vehicle knowledge. I told him of my Absolutely Horrifying visit with the Chantilly Toyota dealership last night and he assured me that Miller Toyota was a hometown and friendly dealership. I agreed to a meeting with him and when my family and I arrived, we were met at the door by Jerry himself! With a warm smile and gentle handshake Jerry arraigned a test drive for us. Upon our return, we were greeted by Steve, the sales manager and he assisted us through the rest of the sale due to another customer sale that Jerry was handling. Not only did Steve beat the Chantilly dealers price, but he actually cared, made eye contact, gave no sales pressure or pitches!!! OMG, this was too good to be true... Now to top this off, the owner, Took Kern, stopped by and shook our hands and genuinely thanked us for stopping in to his dealership. Needless to say, we purchased our new 4x4 Rav4 and will return in a few months to buy our daughter a new car as well. After the sale, Steve took the Rav4 out to fill up the gas tank while Jerry returned and gave us a tour of the dealership. Jerry showed us the service department, parts department and introduced us to employees along the way! We even met a gentleman and his kids who returned from "Georgia" to purchase his third Toyota from Kerns of Winchester, now that was impressive. I truly cannot say enough good stuff about this dealership. Please, even if youre not in the market to buy a vehicle, just stop in and say hello and you will immediately see and feel the down home family atmosphere that these guys provide! Thank you Jerry and Steve... and it was a pleasure to meet such a friendly down to earth guy like Mr. Took Kern! We will be back...

Greatest car buying experience I have ever been through. Jerry was very easy to reach via email before my trip to the dealership. He answered all of my questions and offered to make an appointment with me to drive the Highlander I was interested in. I told him features that were important to me and he made a suggestion. Jerry informed me he would not be available on the day that I planned to visit the dealership but suggested I work with Scott Allemong, super guy. Scott worked the deal with me, Jerry arrived and walked me through delivery of the vehicle and a tour of the service department. I discovered Kern Toyota while searching the internet for information on FJ Cruisers. I gave them my contact information on there website. Jerry Clarke, there internet sales rep, contacted me by email & we set up a test drive.Jerry was very informative & didnt try to sell me. He said stop back by if you have any more questions. There was absolutely no pressure. I came back a second time & asked about price. He gave me a price, I said thank you, & left. Again, no pressure. I researched the price he gave me & even went to another dealership near my parents house to compare. They said no way can we reach that price.Bottom line. Jerry was straight forward & honest from the get go. He gave me a fair price on my tradein & a fair price on the 2013 FJ Cruiser. I didnt need to haggle.I came back a 3rd time & bought the vehicle. After the sale was made, he gave me a tour of the dealership & when my vehicle was ready, he took the time to go over every feature with me.Kern Toyota was a very friendly car buying experience. I bought a Camry from Kern Toyota back on 9/3. It has taken me awhile to post my review but I wanted to complete it as I had said I would. I was very pleased with the service I received on my initial visit back in August when I first took the car for a test drive. Scott was very prompt in assisting us as my son and I looked at cars on the lot. He was very quick to offer a test drive after listening to what I was looking for. I told him after the test drive that I really liked the car but had to wait until the end of the month in order to buy it. I never felt any pressure to buy the vehicle although Scott would keep in touch periodically over the phone. He acquired a vehicle in the color and style I was looking for and had it ready the day I came back. The purchase process of the vehicle was great. No long drawn out haggling back and forth. Scott informed me of all the extras but there was no pressure to take them. The financing and paperwork process was very expedient and not as I have encountered at other dealerships. I would definitely recommend this dealership and Scott. They made the buying process a breeze.

This is our second new truck purchase with Jerry Clarke and Kern Toyota, and we wouldn't go anywhere else. The service is great, the people are friendly and when you need help they are there at the ready. When we had to sell our first truck due to a move overseas, Jerry was there to give us a great buy-back price. Upon returning from overseas he was there again to help us find an equally good value. We appreciate the low-key nature of the dealership, and the feeling we get that they are looking after our best interests. We chose him over Apple Valley because he answered our questions clearly and directly in a no-nonsense way. My wife and I went to Kern Toyota this past Sunday to look at Camry's because of the year end clearance and financing. Since it was Sunday, I thought the dealership would be closed. However Scott was there and came out in the lot to show us some cars. We took a six cylinder and a four cylinder XLE for test drives. Scott was a very nice and knowledgeable salesman, no pressure what so ever. We loved the six cylinder XLE and wound up purchasing it that very visit. When we went back today 9/3 to finsh the paperwork, he brought to our attention another program Toyota had regarding tradeins other than Toyota. This saved me another $500. Scott is a friendly helpful person and we wouldn't hesitate doing business with him and Kern again. I was fully expecting to visit two other dealerships in the area but was glad we went to Kern.

This was our first Toyota purchase and it was by far the best car buying experience my husband and I have ever had! Andrew Woodson (our salesman) was very knowledgable and did not pressure us in the least bit. We test drove 3 models (Prius V, Camry Hybrid and Camry SE) and spent a total of 4 1/2 hours trying to make a decision. When we came to a decision the dealership was scheduled to close but they did not try to push us out the door, both Andrew and Roger (finance manager) stayed with us until the paperwork was completed and we cleaned out our trade-in vehicle. We definitely could not have asked for a better experience on all fronts! Thank you Kern Toyota!

My wife and I initiated our vehicle search via the Internet and were quickly connected with Jerry Clarke when it came time to visit the dealership. From the start, it was a amiable, low-key, professional experience in which we quickly got the impression that Jerry was listening to our needs and working very hard to show us multiple vehicles and models that would meet those needs... providing us with options and letting us formulate our decision. We got to drive several vehicles... Jerry explained the specific features of each one in relation to our needs and the experience of driving the vehicles became a hands-on "sales pitch". We appreciated the fact that we felt absolutely no "pressure", neither during our first visit to Kern Toyota nor on a follow-up visit. After we made a decision to buy, Jerry orchestrated the paperwork process that was quick and completely "painless" after which he walked us through the dealership and introduced us to the people who would work with us for maintenance, parts, etc. With no exceptions, the people we met were friendly and we got a sense of an organization that was genuinely dedicated to customer service. Our experience thus far indicates that we will have a long, productive relationship with Kern Toyota.

Purchased my second car from Kern Toyota last week. A 2013 Scion TC. This follows on the heels of my Toyota 4-Runner purchased in 2010. My salesman (Jerry Clarke) was super. Knows his product line well and low pressure. Also had a chance meeting with the owner (Mr. Kern) himself and he is honorable and well spoken and thanked me profusely for purchasing a car from his dealership. One of the things which made me come back to Kern a second time was low pressure sales and the best (i.e. the least expensive) processing fee in the area. You will save 100's of dollars as compared to what the dealerships in Northern Virginia charge you for processing. Might add the two years of regular maintanance services provided on my 2010 4-Runner after purchase were great. Had no problem with scheduling around my availability and they turned the car around in less the 1 hour. PS. If you are there in the morning you can walk over to the Burger King and get breakast if you wish. In short, they did very well and I can't imagine not buying my next Toyota/Scion model from them. I went for oil change and tire rotation for our Rav4. We are new to the state. My our Rav has nitrogen filled tires. The dealership did not inform us that would not be filling the tires to the correct pressure because they don't have nitrogen. Kern's service department expects that the customer know what they are capable of doing. They allowed my wife to leave the dealership assuming that job had been completed correctly. 9 days later our low air pressure light came on. One tire was 26lbs and the other 3 were 28lbs. Kern does not care about customer safety. When I called to find out why we didn't have fully inflated tires said that there was nothing he could do. He could have apologize.I have only owed Toyotas because of exemplary service I received at the Toyota dealership in Wisconsin. I can tell you if my first experience was with Kern Toyota I would never own another Toyota. This is worst service experience I have every received. Stay far away from this dealership.

Best car buying experience ever! Dennis Kincaide took great care of me, he heard me when I described what I needed, a great listener. And made sure to make it happen. This was a quick, easy painless experience. As a female buying a car, usually I feel a bit railroaded by car salespeople, not this time. He took care to ensure I got a fair deal, and was very efficient with the paperwork, and paperwork processing. I didn't have to spend all day to buy a car! He even made sure my floor mats and cargo cove were installed properly, and that the tank was full!

Kern Toyota is a great place to purchase a vehicle. I met Jerry Clarke on my first visit and I was very impressed with his down-to-earth no hassle approach in educating me about a Hybrid. I told Jerry that gas mileage was very important to me and that I didn't want a car with all of the bells and whistles. Jerry listened and put me in a Hybrid that met my budget and needs. I ordered the car on my first visit. When I came to pick it up the tank was full and everything was ready. After meeting with the finance department I was in and out in less than an hour. I highly recommend Jerry to anyone who wants to have a great experience where the customer is first.

When we was searching for a car to replace my Toyota pickup. We visited all dealer in our area, test drove several cars, and talked to several salesman and sales manager. Our experience took us back to Kern Toyota, where we have had our two Toyota services since We moved her in 2004. When we would take our vehicle in for services, We would always look at all the new Toyota, Jerry Clarke was the only salesman that made a effort to ask us if we need any help or could he show us a certain Toyota. All others who had seen us exit service department waiting room didn't take an interest in us. Therefore when we decided to purchase a new Toyota, we contacted Jerry Clark, explained to him what we were looking for and what extras we wanted on the car. He ask me if we had drove the Camry and we said no, he suggested that we try each type, including the Camry Hybrid. Once we decided on what model we wanted, he found the vehicle, offer us the price that we was looking for. Within 2 days car was here and we had the Camry we had been looking for. That has been over two years and he has taken care of any question we have had and has always been there when we needed something. When we decided to replace the 1999 4 Runner, We will be sure we contact Jerry Clarke, cause we know he will have our best interest in mind when we are searching for a new car.

My husband and I recently purchased an automobile from Kern Toyota. This is the second auto we purchased from a dealer in 30 years, so it was a scary experience for us. Being on a tight budget made the situation more difficult. I contacted 3 dealers in the Winchester area and explained my situation and special circumstances that needed to apply for us to purchase. Over a 2 month span 2 dealers dropped out of looking for a good reliable used auto for me and the calls they made to us were over the amount and terms I had specified. I lost hope and our older car was chugging along on its last leg. I passed Kern Toyota one day and decided to stop in, I met Ken Cooper and explained my needs. From that day on I felt that he was 100% into finding an auto for us. HE DID and the price was right it was exactly what we needed and could afford.I recommend Kern Toyota for our next new car or as I, a used car purchase. It has been many years that I hae received such fantastic customer care from the first contact lady that answers the phones and especially made sure all the messages were received and even called back if Ken was busy with answers to the finance manager to the cleanup crew of 2 ladies and 1 gentleman who made my car look brand new, to of course KEN COOPER who made it all happen THANK YOU.I cannot relay how proud and thankful that we found the dealership and Ken. I moved to the area a few years ago and began to have my Toyota serviced at the Kern Toyota dealership. I always received outstanding and reasonable service each and every time I went. When having any repairs down I was always offered a ride back to work and when a warranty job needed to be done they loaned me a car with no hassle.When I began to replace my vehicle I really wanted to work with the dealership because I felt I was always treated fairly. As a female it might sound cliche but that was important to me. I was allowed to test drive easily any vehicle I was interested in and kept a few overnight to help with the decision. I did look at other dealerships but felt pressured by the salesmen. I think even if I leave the area next time I am searching for a car I will check first at Kern Toyota as I feel confident that long distance I would be treated the same.Once my decision was finally made I received what I felt was a good price and the transaction was handled seamlessly without any problem. They took care of everything. Importantly also it didn't detract from work time either and I felt good and still do about the transaction.I love my new car and feel confident that my third Toyota will be as reliable as my first. I bought a new car at Kern late last year. I had reasonable expectations and got exactly what I wanted without any runaround or games or hassles. Overall a great buying experience.
