Let me begin by saying, my wife and I absolutely hate the car buying process. Our experience has normally been going to the dealership to get pressured into a car, then into some "protection packages", then some accessories, then going to the finance manager to get pressured into more things like extended warranties, or "further protections". I can honestly say, for us, there was no pressure at all at Martin Honda. Joe Robinson was patient with us and walked us through the entire process. It was the best car buying experience we have ever had. I was a little apprehensive when it came time to talk to the finance manger, but Larry Murray was absolutely phenomenal. He worked with us to get the rate and payment that we wanted. Again, best experience we have ever had. And Michael Pijuan, a sales manager, came and talked to us after each of our test drives, but it was not like there was any pressure from him either. He seemed to genuinely care how our experience at the dealership went. I would highly recommend Martin Honda.

I had my mind made up about which car I wanted but really appreciated how much time Ed spent reviewing all the features and aspects of the vehicle. He really sold me on something that I was already sold on! I especially appreciated the time he spent on reviewing the features again and helping me get everything set up the way I wanted it. We've dealt with other dealerships before and this is the first time that we've had that kind of help. Usually it's here's your manual, thanks for the money and good luck with that! They even managed to put all the protective coatings on while we were waiting for the transaction to go through. They have followed up by calling and scheduling the service to get the other parts we wanted installed and have bent over backwards to make that convenient to us. Giving them a two thumbs up!

My husband and I started minivan shopping at the beginning of September knowing that we would be in the process of looking for a vehicle for at least a week. Having bought at Martin Honda in the past, we knew they would be the best place for us to start. We went in looking for our previous salesman but as it turns out he retired and we were graciously placed with Mark T, who taught us a decent amount about the Odyssey and invited us to test drive the vehicle. We were only beginning our shop for a minivan, and so we left and did some research to figure out pricing and affordability for us. Our family went to California for a family reunion and when we returned we hit the internet for as much information as possible and Mark was AWESOME enough to communicate with me via email instead of by phone as I am homeschooling Mom that works evenings and my schedule is so hectic that answering a phone is often difficult. So, after multiple attempts to make it in to Martin, my crazy family and I made it in to have our vehicle appraised and look at minivans again. Because our budget isn't as open as some we ended up leasing the 2016 Odyssey SE and we couldn't be happier. Kim, made life as easy as possible for us as well in financing. Thus, I cannot thank the team at Martin enough for their patience with us and our family. We ended up leaving without learning all of the tech in our new vehicle so we came back a few days later and had Nick show us around the amazing features of the Odyssey. We thought we could figure it all out on our own, but I'm so glad that Martin has Nick who was an awesome teacher and gave us his card just in case we needed help with something down the road.And please forgive me for not remembering the name of the receptionist when we came in to see Nick and Betty, but she was a lot of fun to talk to as well.

As soon as I walked on to the parking lot to start browsing, I was approached by a salesman who politely asked me if I was being helped by anyone. I loved how patient, courteous and non pressuring Joe was while showing me different vehicles. I will have to say I've been buying cars for 30 years and I've never experienced a sales person who went into such detail about every part of the vehicle than Joe did with me. Please please please give Joe Robinson a raise because he was so caring and I've never had anyone like that before but will continue to use him to help me buy my families cars. I felt like I could make a much easier decision about which car would be what I was looking for and now I know how much value Honda actually puts into their vehicles, which I never knew before. During the buying process, the sales manager made me feel very welcome and extended themselves to me for anything I might ever need.

I could not ask for better service and quality of warranty work. Martin Honda went above and beyond to offer an a brand new loaner car (2016 Honda Accord) for 5 days and a free car wash. It was so hard to give the beautiful loaner car back though. We'd definitely go back to Martin Honda to purchase our next car.

Everyone I spoke with, and I mean everyone I encountered at the dealership, was respectful (to me and each other), genuinely happy, and fully focused on providing the ultimate experience for me as a consumer. From the receptionist to the sales manager, to the general manager, to the business manager, and more . . . outstanding professionals! I left the dealership with a new vehicle without being "sold." Needing a vehicle, but having limited credit history the sales representative, Joseph Robinson, was helpful, patient and worked not pushed me into a new vehicle. I was getting too much noise while driving my Honda Accord, i have visited most of the repairs center at Delaware, and i din;t not get the proper solution to fix the noise issue, most of the repairs center told me it was a Transmission issue, and too much cost involve to fix the issue. later i been to Martin Honda Service center, and discussed with the work shop representative, with in a hr they came up with proper solution and fixed the noise issue, and i was very much satisfied with the service and tons of thanks Martin Honda service person.

Called Monday afternoon to bring my car in Tuesday morning. (My window fell into my door and I knew the power window regulator just broke from being old). Had an 8:15am appointment that I scheduled with a woman there. She asked what time I was bringing the car in, I said at 7:30am or so. Got to Honda Tuesday morning and handed my key off and was asked when I needed the car. I said as soon as it can be done. 12:30pm (no call from anyone) I call and get told my service rep was out for lunch but someone else would call me back. 1:45pm. Still no return call so I call yet again. Forwarded to Doug who informs me that the 8:15am appointment time is just a drop off time for my car. I said no, that's totally not true I was asked for what time I wanted to drop off. So then it was blamed on "new" people and he says well we never book anyone in the morning because we only work on waiting people's cars before noon. He says do you need it before 5pm. I said "yes!" He claims he will have to arrange some things but they will get my car in earlier.3:00pm call and ask for status. None given but the claim is Doug will get right back to me. He doesn't call me. 4:00pm still no call I call them and ask for an update. Hasn't even been looked at yet, although the counter woman does her best to camouflage this by just saying oh I have to check with Doug on it there should be an update but he will call you right back.4:30pm I finally hear from Doug who tells me what needs to be repaired which I said yes I know that I brought it in for that. I say yes repair it!!!Doug says oh we should be done around 5pm. I said oh great thanks. 4:40pm another call from I assume the service desk apology person because she claims it's been soooo busy and asked if I had been called back. I say yes and thank you but there's no reason my car should sit all day there and it wasn't looked at till after 4pm which was horribly disappointing. I say well I suppose I will get another call from someone when my actual car is done. 5:15pm Doug finally calls to say my car is done. A full 9 hours after I dropped it off and past even 5pm when they claimed it would be moved up in line. The part they replaced is $54 on Amazon. They charged $127 for a power window regulator. I will gladly go anywhere else for any service I need for my vehicle.

To whom it may concern when I went to Honda I did not have appointment set up I talked to a guy named Bob and then he assists me in everything I explain the type of problem that I had going on with my car and then he was very nice about it he was very comfortable in telling me everything he knew about the situation so therefore I had it worked on and the people in the manager was very nice to me especially the service manager he helped out a whole lot with this he explains everything as confirming what I was saying so I like that that so I'm very satisfied with the services and everything that Honda provided me with and I will still continue to go there to get service for my car footnote as a company like Honda Servic Company here on Cleveland Avenue it's more than likely people will continue to come toHonda if Honda think customer first and customer service continue to speak nice to the people people will continue to come like me

I PURCHASED A 2009 USED CHEVY AVEO FROM MARTIN USED CARS IN DEC 2015. CAR WAS MAKING ALL KINDS OF NOISE AND OTHER ISSUES WAS TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY. WELL 3 MONTHS LATER THIS CAR WHEN DRIVING AUTOMATICALLY SLOWS DOWN LIKE GOING TO CUT OFF THE RPM GOES FROM O TO 3 THAN DROPS DOWN AND TO 0. WHILE SITTING AT LIGHT THE CAR RPM MOVES TO 3 LIKE I AM PUSHING GAS . I CALLED SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THEY CANNOT NOT LOOK AT CAR BECAUSE THEY DONT WORK ON CHEVY . I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SELL TO ME AND CANT FIX IT. ALSO I LOOKED ON INTERNET THIS CAR AND YEAR HAS ENGINE PROBLEMS.

I did research on the ,16 Odyssey plus other vans and had special requirements due to having lostpart of my lower right leg thus front consoles became an issue. This was my 3rd vehicle I purchased at this dealership. Carol Heyse has been phenominal to work with and always look out for her clients' needs. My experience everytime made me go back the next. One time I had a flat tire and when I took my car to "Firestone" down the road, they indicated I had to replace all four tires as a result of the damage the one incurred. Needless to say, I phone Carol and said: Is this true? She asked me to bring the car in the next day to the service department. $15 later, tire was fixed with no need to replace the other three. I subsequently drove an additional 40 000 miles on my set of tires before I had to replace them.So, needless to say, this dealership and their personnel really look out for their clients.

I have a 6 month old, 2 year old, and a 7 year old, so I went in looking to trade my Wrangler Unlimited for a Pilot. My husband is working today, so I had to bring my dad and 2 of my 3 kids. Bruce was amazing. I test drove the Pilot and the Odessey, and I fell in love with the Odessey. While completing the paperwork, Bruce had a drawer full of toys and candy to occupy my 2 year old. When my 2 year old dumped out the shoe box full of crayons, Bruce got down on the floor and helped him pick it up. When my 6 month old needed food heated up, he got it done. He is obviously used to dealing with families and he made my experience the best. This is my first Honda, but I know it won't be my last. Also, special thanks to my "navigator," the guy (can't remember if he was a Tom or a Mike) who drove around with me during the test drives, showing me all of the cool features and helping me make the decision to trade in my beloved Jeep.

My last service call the other day for my 2011 Honda Odyssey was outstanding experience. All the employees I dealt with were extremely helpful and courteous. Also during my wait I went up to the showroom to browse around where I saw my sales rep Dave Eno for many years who has assisted in my last two purchases from Martin. Even on this visit he goes out of his way to be extremely helpful but at the same time not over bearing. His suggestions on my future purchases were extremely helpful. Obviously we liked working with him seeing as I went back so soon after the first purchase.Very smooth transaction! No pressure, minimal haggling. David Eno was fantastic to work with. It was a great "no pressure" experience. He quickly understood my needs and timing. I was already knowledgable about the product and model I was looking for and David made a great partner in simply working to finalize color options, find inventory and working out a fair deal in a quick and painless manner. I think his ability to tailor his approach to suit me and my situation was important and allowed everything to work well with minimal touch points (perfect for me). I have no doubt David can also provide a quality "high touch" experience for customers who desire/need that.One other area that was important to me... David provided a great experience after the sale. I had some accessories and he was quick to get them ordered with great communication to coordinate the installation. There was also a small cosmetic issue with the car that David quickly offered multiple solutions for and was able to combine with the accessory install to minimize the interruption to my schedule.My only recommendation, and this is not for David because it was before he was working with me, but for the dealership. I had stopped by on two occasions earlier in my shopping and not a single person approached me to even welcome me to the dealership. I didn't need any help and was just looking, but I was surprised to not at least have someone approach me with a smile and to say hello. I was in the showroom for at least 20 minutes on each occasion and got in and out of multiple models while checking them out. Even my 12 year old son commented about no one coming to say hello and we joked about being "invisible". This obviously wasn't a deal breaker, but these are huge purchases and this sort of immediate personal touch is important given all of the rising competition in todays car buying market.This was my second purchase with Martin (the first was 20 years ago!) and I have had countless years of service provided by your team on my vehicles. I will continue to come back in the future.Thanks, David!

I bought a Honda Civic in 2002 from this dealer and had a great experience. After several years and needing a larger vehicle, I traded that in for a VW Tiguan. Since having the VW Tiguan, I had so many issues and had to visit VW for service so many times, it became frustrating. Now that I have a baby on the way, it was only natural that I needed an even larger vehicle, that was more reliable. Since I had such a great experience with my Honda and Martin Honda long ago, I decided this was the first place I would look for my new vehicle. I chose to look no further. I purchased a 2016 Honda Pilot on Black Friday and was very happy with my purchasing experience. The sales consultant, Mayra Lopez, worked with my husband and I through the whole process, even though we stayed way past her shift. She made sure we understood everything and made the process smooth. The only down side to this deal was that it took a reallllly long time. (over 4 hours) We had additional parts ordered (roof rails, side chrome, cargo mat and cover, and floor mats) that were not available on the vehicle or at the time of purchase. It took only a few days for these items to come in, and scheduling the service was easy. I would highly recommend Honda and Martin Honda Dealers.

My fiance and I was in need for two cars and were in search for two new cars on a budget so we went shopping around. We went to a few dealerships and were haggled so we did not buy. Going to Martin Honda and a Toyota dealership nearby were our last two stops before we just gave up and waited a little longer to buy. I went into Honda and Shari greeted me very politely. I told her what we were looking for and the budget we wanted to stay in. She let me test drive a few cars and then quoted some suggested payments to me. Although the prices sounded good, I still wanted to check out Toyota. I informed her of how I felt and she understood without hesitation. I told her that if we decided to go with Honda that I would be back the next day and would be bringing my fiance with me. Low and behold, her customer service experience had wowed me so much that I just had to go back to buy from her. The next day we went back and leased one car and financed the other. She had our payments right in the price range we wanted and she was so pleasant and informative. Words can not express how this has been the very best car buying experience for me. I will not ever buy another car from another person again until she retires from being a salesperson! Although it took a whole day to leave with our cars, it was well worth it and it was a non stressful day. Simply amazing! If you need a car please go to Martin Honda and ask for Shari Godwin!!!

Ed was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in purchasing and was able to answer our questions and provide additional information that we found very helpful in making our decision. We never felt pressured to make a decision before we were absolutely ready. He highlighted features that set Hondas apart from other vehicles, without bad-mouthing the other vehicles. He took the time to fully explain and program all the electronic features on the vehicle that we purchased and made a follow-up call several days later to ask if we had any questions after operating the vehicle for several days. Shari Godwin was great to work with. We came in on a weekday night and test drove a couple of models. She gave us lots of information, was patient with two life-long Ford drivers, and was a pleasure to work with. After test driving some other brands at neighboring dealerships, we decided that the Honda was going to be our best choice and knowing that we would be going back to buy from Shari was a relief. We went in on a Saturday morning and walked out with our new car shortly after. I have never before considered car buying pleasant but with Shari, it was truly a positive experience. I went to Martin Honda looking for a specific vehicle that I saw on the website. I ended up working with Pedro Santiago. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and most of all he was not pushy (which I greatly appreciate being a single woman shopping for a car). The Odessey I went specifically to look at was sold that same morning. Pedro did show me a few other vehicles in my price range but did not try and sway me into purchasing something I really wasn't interested in. I'm not sure if I'm not taken seriously because I'm a woman, but I went in three times because my Insight was making a high pitched whine when accelerating and also noticed a decrease in power. The first tech told me he could hear it, but wasn't sure what it was. Then he told his supervisor he didn't hear a thing. The second tech told me he heard it and would try to figure out what it was, but he couldn't diagnose the issue. To his credit, he at least reset my tpms sensors like I requested the first time. The third tech told me that it's my alternator and that it's "normal" because my car has high miles. Let me educate your service team, because they clearly are ignorant: the Honda Insight does NOT have an alternator. I'll repeat that, so you can marinate in it for a second. Honda Insights DO NOT have alternators. In lieu of an alternator... the IMA (Intergrated Motor Assist) functions as the alternator. It also has a DC to DC conversion. So! Logic tells us that when my car went into your shop, noise free, and came out making noise after you performed an IMA update... that the issue lies within the IMA system. Does that sound about right? I know my car, I know, to a degree, what I'm talking about. Don't brush me off because I'm a woman and you assume I'm ignorant when it comes to cars.

Edward A. McDowell spent the whole day (9 hours) with my daughter and I while we test drove various cars, discussed our options and completed all paperwork. My experience at Martin Honda was great. I had a complicated car situation and they did everything they could to help me get the car I wanted for the best deal. I told them what price range I needed a month, and they worked with me as much as possible. Other places I went to didn't want to help me and also said there was nothing they could really do. I had Kris Collins as my sales consultant and he was very friendly and listened to everything I had to say. He didn't pressure me into purchasing the car, he cared more about what satisfied the customer. Another employee that was a huge help was Jim Blaskow. He also did everything he could to help me drive away in my new car. I was introduced to Ed McDowell by a person at the front desk. Ed was a pleasure to deal with, He was friendly, answered my questions, went through some brochures (the differences in seating space and colors), and showed me some cars without any of the typical dealer hype or pressure. I came back a couple days later and I offered what I considered a fair price and it was accepted without any of the typical displeasures or intense haggling. My wife had bought a car at the Toyota dealership down the same road 7 years ago and at that place I was haggling in a me verse him type of thing, walked out, asked to come back, eventually agreed to a price only to be shot down by the manager. Martin Honda gave me a much better experience. The test drive showed me some things and when I picked up the car Ed spent time going through all the technology including how to connect my phone with the car. The technology in the Honda cars these days in amazing and I love the extra leg space compared to Toyotas. So I'll recommend this place and the dealer I worked with. Really everyone I came in contact with (financing, warranty people) gave me a no pressure, friendly type experience.

I'm sure all dealerships do this, but some of us just want to pay a fair price without too much haggling and that doesn't seem possible. As most of us know, the purchase of a new vehicle is very exciting; however, the actual time and decision making process can lead to a quite daunting experience. I am writing this letter on behalf of both myself and my husband. The reason for this letter is to inform you that our experiences in purchasing two new vehicles at Martin Honda in Newark Delaware turned out to be one of our most pleasurable buying experiences ever. From the first moment we walked into the dealership, we felt quite welcomed and were treated with courtesy and respect. I would like to start by saying I apologize for writing such a lengthy letter, but felt it imperative to describe our experiences in depth as we are more than pleased and impressed with the outstanding customer service received by everyone we encountered who works at the dealership.Please let me begin by informing you that my husband and I were in the market to buy one new vehicle and one pre-owned vehicle. I myself, a muscle car owner/driver, had my mind pre-set with the notion I was purchasing a 2015 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack or the Dodge SRT 392. My current car at the time of the purchase was a Pontiac GTO. I am also a fan of Honda vehicles, even though neither of us had ever owned one. I am well aware of their reputation and know they are reliable vehicles. My husband and I knew we would be in the market to purchase our vehicles in mid-February, but I wanted to get an idea and do my research prior to our final decision. In mid January, my husband and I decided to take a quick stop by a couple of dealerships to peruse over a few of the vehicles I had already started researching. When we walked up to the lot at Martin Honda, we were greeted by Chris Burnett. Immediately, Mr. Burnett engaged both my husband and I into conversation. I explained to him we were not ready to purchase a vehicle yet, but were getting our feelers out there. He showed much interest in us, however was not sure he could meet our needs since I made it quite clear I was a muscle car enthusiast. He did, however, make every possible suggestion with quite a realistic approach. I then asked Mr. Burnett for his business card and told him he would probably be hearing from us in the near future. When my husband and I left Martin Honda that day, we discussed how much we liked Mr. Burnett, and said we would definitely recommend him to others even if we didnt go back. As mid-February was quickly approaching, I continued to build vehicles on-line, and compared along with reading many reviews. My decision was made. I WAS buying that Challenger pending I actually liked the feel of the vehicle once I took it for a test drive. I really did like the Honda Accord, but my heart was just set on my Challenger!! On February 14th, my husband and I decided it was time to go place an order for my new Challenger. Upon our arrival at the Dodge dealership, they were in the process of closing early due to the extreme cold temperatures. It took a few minutes before anyone even approached us to ask if we needed assistance. When we finally were approached, the feeling wasnt nearly as warm and welcoming as we both would have preferred. I explained to the salesperson I was quite interested in purchasing a Challenger and would like to test drive one. Wow, he could not come up with enough reasons why it was difficult to have me do so at that time. The new one that came in hadnt been reviewed by service yet, one in the back may not be available and not sure if I can drive the other one and one he didnt know where the keys were, and one needed to be de-iced. I did not provide him the opportunity to say no. I explained that I needed to feel and drive a vehicle prior to even talking numbers in order to make a purchase. I also made it clear to him that I needed to purchase the vehicle as soon as possible. I explained that my time was limited because I am having major surgery in the very near future and wanted to actually have the vehicle prior to doing so. He was finally able to produce a Challenger that we could all take out for a test drive (yes, he accompanied us for the test drivesomething I have never experienced before)..and I was SOLDnot because of the salesman, but because that car is not only beautiful, but had just what I like.MUSCLE. Once the test drive was over, I showed the salesman the package I had already built which included the price. I explained to him what I had for a down payment and also asked how he could accommodate us with a used vehicle. I could go on for pages to explain to you of his extreme disinterest and how we felt he just wanted us out of there so he could to go home for the day. Still my mind said Challenger, but at a different Dodge dealership. My husband and I left and immediately drove back to Martin Honda as I had already looked up used vehicles on-line and wanted to take a look at themand only them because remember, Im buying a Challenger. Upon our entrance, we were pleasantly addressed by everyone that walked passed us. The lady at the front desk asked if we needed assistance. I said we were going to pop over to see if Mr. Burnett was available. Upon heading to Mr. Burnetts desk, we walked past the Accord Coupe that very much caught my eye the first time we stopped by. While admiring the Accord, we were greeted by an extremely nice gentleman by the name of Mike Pijuan. What a pleasant gentleman he was. We told Mr. Pijuan we had spoken to Mr. Burnett a month ago and were interested in looking at a pre-owned CRV for my husband. In the meantime, Mr. Burnett noticed and recognized us, and immediately came over to greet us. He was with another customer, but took just a brief moment to acknowledge us and asked if we were able to wait a few minutes until he was done with his other customer. By the way, the dealership was about to close, but we didnt realize that right away. While waiting for Mr. Burnett, Mr. Pijuan continued to engage us into conversation. I explained to him how we were there a month ago looking at the Accord Coupe. I also informed him that I decided on the Challenger, but we were going to try to purchase our used vehicle from Mr. Burnett. Mr. Pijuan asked us what vehicles we were interested as he was going to see if he could pull up the vehicle in the system so he could assist us. We had an awesome conversation discussing my GTO, my new to be Challenger, and of course Honda vehicles. I never realized he was probably actually heading out the door to go home when we walked in, but that obviously didnt matter to him. Of course, we didnt find out until later that Mr. Pijuan is actually part of the financial team, not sales team. Imagine our surprise to find out he spent so much time with us when he could have just left us in a chair waiting for Mr. Burnett to be available. Mr. Pijuan is an extremely welcoming gentleman who deserves a bit of recognition for going above and beyond!!! When Mr. Burnett finished business with his original customer he immediately came over to meet with us. He began discussing with us how, or if he could meet any of our purchasing needs. I explained to him that I decided to purchase the Challenger for myself but we were interested in purchasing one of Hondas pre-owned vehicles for my husband. Again, we all start talking cars and have a great time, laughing and engaging like we had known each other for years. We started discussing business and our vehicle needs. Mr. Burnett asked how much we were willing to spend on the used car purchase. When I told him the amount, he stated he could probably sell us a new vehicle instead. He asked us if we could come back the following day at 2:00 p.m. He said he would like to take some time to see what he could do to accommodate our needs. We felt it was worth coming back to see what he could propose and scheduled for 2:00 the following day. On February 15, my husband and I walk into Martin Honda. Again we were greeted with a smile from the lady at the front desk and she asked if she could help us. She didnt need to do so, as Chris had already been approaching, with a smile. After greeting us, he immediately escorted us over to the coffee machine, and offered us something to drink or eat from the arrangement of items to choose from and told us to get comfortable and meet him at his desk. The instant we sat down, my husband and I we both felt like our business was important to Mr. Burnett. He told us he put together some ideas for us. One being the purchase of the Accord Coupe I had admired a month earlier, and the other was a Fit LX. Mr. Burnett discussed with us the original prices of the vehicles, discounts he was able to provide, while providing many reasonable factors on why our purchasing both vehicles at Honda would be of benefit to us. He remembered my telling him a month ago that I was having surgery, and he was able to incorporate that into a purchasing decision. Something I had already done, but just one more thing to point out to you as to why Mr. Burnett is so prodigious. He took into consideration that Honda may not provide the muscle I prefer in a vehicle but he still felt confident he could deliver. Of course, this is the job of a salesman; however, it was the personalization and approach in which Mr. Burnett presented that actually made the sale. Now that all is said and done, it was Mr. Burnetts people skills and personality that sold my husband and me two vehicles. A salesman who can convince a customer to purchase a vehicle that is completely against their norm, and send them away totally satisfied with their purchases obviously possesses a special quality within his profession. Mr. Burnett is an excellent salesman, but more importantly he is a people person. He does his job well, better than most. Quite impressive as he listens and catches a lot of what his customer says. Remember, I WAS buying a Challenger. Once all of our paperwork was completed, and were waiting to meet with a member of the financial team, we asked Mr. Burnett for his supervisors name as we wanted to inform him/her of the outstanding service we received. Within minutes a Mr. Phillip Rockwell came over to meet with us. Again, another person who treated us as though we were both important, and not just another sale. Mr. Rockwell was appreciative that we were willing to take the time to commend a member of his staff. He sat down and engaged us in conversation. He took time to sit and converse with us and didnt make us feel as though we were being rushed. Kudos for Martin Honda. A Manager who was willing to sit and engage in a conversation with customers is a great way to do business and should be practiced more often. So here it is three weeks after the purchase of our vehicles. Weve had to come back for a few things, body kit put on cars, undercoating, remote start, etc. Mr. Burnett has stayed involved through this entire process. He has placed several follow-up calls, making sure we are being taken care of with our needs. And imagine the surprise on my face when I called my insurance company to transfer our auto insurance over to the new vehicles, only to find out Mr. Burnett already did this for us. Not sure if this is common practice for your sales staff, but I can assure you, we have never had a dealership do that for us. NEVER!!! To conclude, out entire experience at Martin Honda was more than outstanding. The service from the minute we walked in the door and still on-going since we purchased our vehicles has been more than adequate. Again, it really was all about Mr. Burnett. This man is not only extremely efficient at his job, but he is just a pleasant person to do business with. My husband will surely recommend Martin Honda, specifically Mr. Burnett, to those we know who are in the market for a new/used vehicle.

She was incredibly patient in working with us as I was looking for a manual transmission, but was a little rusty behind the wheel. We bought from Martin's pre-owned lot and had a great buying experience. We bought our car from Tommy Brooking, and he was very helpful. They gave us a very good deal, and the process was over much quicker than I'd generally expect buying a car on a Saturday to go. They were very expeditious and professional. My only comment would be that the used car section lacks any amenities beyond a coffee pot and a vending machine to make the waiting involved in the car buying process more comfortable.

Dave Romanoski is the person to go to if you don't know what you want. My wife and I were thinking about leasing a vehicle. The problem was, we had no clue how this works. We were in uncharted territory. We took a test drive with Dave and he was very knowledgeable about the vehicle which is what we were expecting. On the way back we took a different route to get a feel of how the vehicle handles with the different road conditions. We went back to his office to see what we could do. He didn't really explain everything. Only the things we needed to know. He didn't spin our heads around with a bunch of useless information which was nice. He walked us through the entire process even going so far as to fill out our application for us and assisting my wife in pairing her phone to the car. He made us feel at ease and now we are the proud parents of a leased 2014 Honda CR-V.

We own two Hondas -- a 2009 CRV and, our most recent addition, a 2014 Honda Accord. Our salesperson was Ed McDowell. Ed was and is nothing less than professional and did a stellar job getting us a deal we were happy with. Although we tangled a little over a fair trade-in value on our Odyssey, the Martin Honda dealership came through. We were treated professionally and with respect from the moment we walked onto the lot to the moment we drove away with our beautiful new car! We always buy our cars from Martin and will continue to do so. For those who have complained, please remember that buying a car is not much different than buying a house -- it's give and take. My first visit to Martin Honda, over a year ago, was a pleasurable experience. I was introduced to Shari Godwin who showed me several 2013 products and explained the differences between the LX, EX, EX-L. I was very excited about the EX-L but, unfortunately, I was not able to make a purchase at that time. Yesterday, I returned to Martin Honda and was delighted to find that Shari was still there. She remembered me and remembered my interest in the EX-L. We took a test drive, during which Shari explained how to use the great features and I LOVED this car!! I wanted the EX-L but I was prepared to settle for the less expensive EX. I'd done some homework and had found online a Price Promise discount on the MSRP. Shari's manager honored the discount, and Shari, working with her team and contacts, were able to offer me a trade-in value and financing that were acceptable. I have never been to a dealership quite like Martin Honda. Impressed beyond belief just doesn't seem adequate to describe our experience. From the moment my dad and I parked my trade in and walked to the Honda Civic that popped out at me, the customer service began. Out walked the nicest, friendliest, incredibly knowledgeable, most professional salesman we have ever encountered. Mr. Edward McDowell made us feel like we were the only people on the car lot. The only people in the showroom. He is the reason for the sale. The Honda Civic is a dream come true and is everything Ed said it is. He believes in the Company, the cars he sells, and truly cares about customer satisfaction. And this "gentleman" possesses compassion. He even helped my father zipper his coat. You don't see that every day. The man is such an asset to your company. If we could rate a 10 he would have all tens. Thanks for having such a wonderful man there to take care of us.

My rating for this dealership is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARTIN HONDA IN NEWARK, DE!!! After working a week with them to find the perfect vehicle for my family of 3 and baby on the way, we have been completely screwed over and lied to by the manager Al. We were in There on Saturday 3/22/14 to return the Honda CR-v that we had tested over night. While looking through the vehicle and spend more time in it, we realized there was an animal smell which then lead to us finding all the hair/fur through out .Upon returning the car we had said if they will clean the car and get the smell out then we will be purchasing the SUV. Al assured us that he would have it sent in to be cleaned that night and would be ready Monday 3/24/14 In the morning. Al then said that come Monday and If we couldn't get there for some reason, THEN he would not be able to hold the car. Him saying this wasn't an issue since we would make it our mission to be there. Today (3/24/14) came and I stopped in around 9:30M to check on the smell. Al shook my hand and said that they were unable to get it in to be cleaned on Saturday and that he would do it today and have it ready by tomorrow (3/25/2014). I said thank you so much and just keep us updated. It's now 1:30pm. Only 4hrs after I left the dealership and Erik calls to let my husband know that he is sorry and the CR-v had been sold on the Saturday that we retuned it to be cleaned!!!!!! Why would they do that?! Most importantly, why didn't The MANAGER tell the that this morning while I was there?! That's a shady way to conduct business. Thank you so much sales associate Erik and manager Al for making it easier for us look on with another dealership!!!

But this time around, we were exceptionally pleased with Shari Godwin. She was just terrific! She made both of us feel at ease without putting any pressure on us to buy. Sales was ok but they send you from one person to the next trying to sell you this extra or that extra so if you are trying to keep the total cost under a specific $ amount you have to go back to the other person to get rid of something. I loved my sales rep. he was amazing but unforunately he no longer works at Marin Honda. The give you your first oil change for free and when I redeemed it I had no issues. But a Year and 2 months after I bought my car the clutch went. Note I know how to drive stick/this is not my first. They claimed that I burnt it up. Ok fine if I did it I did it but it wasn't covered under warrenty and they wanted to chaerge me $1335! Really? I still was ok, everyone around me told me that this was wrong so just to be safe I called Honda Customer Service in CA. They informed me they would put a case magager on it and check it out. They finally got back to me and told me there was nothing they could do it was my fault the clutch went bad. I said fine and payed it and still kept my cool. Little frustrated that it cost so much but what could I do you know. I asked for a copy of the report of what the case manager found. The service department said they didn't have it. I though ok that is fine I would call Customer Service and get it mailed to me or something. 2 Weeks later the Customer Service Lady called me back and I asked her for it. She stated," A report of What? That I called the service manager?" Really? that was your full investigation? One phone call from CA to DE. For them to tell you that it was my fault. Really, as I told them from the begining if it is my fault I take the blame, FINE! But I couldn't spent that kinda of money on a BRAND NEW CAR with out someone looking into it. I have very disappointed and plan to sell my car. I know longer wish to do business with you or your affiliate companies such as KIA. If any one is looking for a HONDA Fit 2012 bought in Dec. of 2012 and babied I have one available.

Being a first time car buyer my experience was excellent! I never doubted Sheri one step of the way during the process of purchasing my new Honda Civic EX. I first came in two weeks prior to my purchase wanting to gain information in which would help me narrow my search and have a better understanding on what car I wanted. This is when me and Sheri first meet, we went over to her desk and started reviewing the Honda Accords in which I was interested in, my mind was blown when I found out all this car could do. We started off with the EX-L, EX down to the Sport. After a deep discussion going over the numbers I walked away knowing the Sport was the car for me. Being so this was my first big purchase and I have no credit established I knew I would need a signer. At the point my grandfather was going to be my signer so I was on his time on which we would make it back to the dealership. Two weeks later my grandfather changed his mind and I no longer had a co signer so I was forced to try on my own. I returned to the dealership on Monday February 17th with my mother. I explained to Sheri my situation about my co signer. I completed my credit application then she went in to see if I was able to get approved for the Honda Sport. Sheri tried a few banks to see if I was able to get approved but unfortunately I was unable to get approved with no credit history. So we had to drop down to the Honda Civic in which I didn't want because that's what I previously had (which was totaled January 5th, 2014). But before showing me the car Sheri wanted to make sure I was approved for the Civic EX. After another moment of waiting good news came through, I was approved! But a tad bit upset because I was unable to get my Accord. But the minute I stepped outside to take the car for a test drive I was ecstatic, I loved everything about this car. All that I wanted in the Accord EX was in the Civic EX (just about). I felt as though I came off better with the Civic EX then if I was approved for the Accord Sport. Never at any point did I feel pressured into making this purchase, Sheri made me very comfortable and was very professional. She made buying my first car a very memorable experience, and has set high expectations for my future car purchases. I would like to thank Sheir for her commendable service!

I did a lot of research in price and comparing and I kept finding that Martin was not going to be beat. Dave has always followed up on the leases, is easy to work with and during this recent lease he drove and walked through ankle deep snow to allow me to see the colors of the different CR-V's that I was considering so that I would have a first hand look at the actual colors instead of looking on line or in a brochure. We had an excellent experience working with Ms. Godwin. We were interested in an Accord Hybrid which is a new model in the US. There were not many to be found, but we are patient customers. Shari was very good about working with us. She has a great sense of humor and is a very good listener. She was very saavy about learning what our parameters were and determining what all the options were. Once we figured out the model and colors that we were interested in buying, she found one for us and brought it to the dealership. I would recommend her to anyone and if we were looking to buy another Honda, we would go back to her without a second thought.The only negative experience we had had nothing to do with Shari. While we were going through the process of paying for our car, two different representatives offered to sell us additional protections. One representative offered to sell us additional treatments for the upholstery, the underbody and the paint. The other representative offered to sell us extended warranty packages. I felt this was disingenuous on the part of the dealership. First, additional services and products like these which can add hundreds or thousands of dollars to the price tag should be offered during the initial and follow-up discussions with the sales representative, not in the final stage while taking possession of the vehicle. Second, offers to coat the underbody or paint job are inconsistent with the attitude I would expect from a high quality brand. I want the dealer to declare, "We build and sell a great, high quality car." Offering to sell additional protection implies that the car is not all that it could be.My recommendation to Martin Honda is move all the additional offers to the beginning of the discussion.My recommendation to new car buyers is work with Shari if you can.

This was my second car purchase with Martin Honda. When my 2009 Honda Fit was recently crushed by a tractor trailer while parked on my street, I immediately searched for my prior salesperson, Shari Godwin, on the internet. She had been such a help when I bought my first new car that I knew if I could find her she would make recovering from this loss easier. And I wasn't wrong. I was thrilled to see she was still with Martin Honda, five years after my earlier purchase. When I met with her, she immediately remembered me and some of our talks from that first purchase. It was nice to not be just another sales figure in the past. I told her what happened to my FIT and she was absolutely outraged with me. Talking with Shari about what kind of car I needed - both five years ago and this year - is the easiest thing. She asks the right questions, she kept me focused on what I was trying to accomplish, she offered options for consideration to be sure that another FIT was right. Shari cares that you get YOUR car. And it shows in how she works with you to accomplish that. Car buying for me was a pretty scary thing ... you are always afraid you'll be taken advantage of, you'll miss a trick, you'll forget to ask the right question. Other dealers have made me feel like we were competing. As if they will get as much as they can from me and give as little as they can back. Shari has always made me feel like she's on my team. Helping me find MY car in MY price for my success. It's pretty great to know that when I am ready for another car...Shari will help me make sure it's the right car.

About a month before purchasing, I went in to look at a Civic EX. Dave was very helpful at that time with any questions I had. For the next month he was very persistent and worked hard to earn my business. I came back in and Dave did everything he could to help me leave in a new car. I had visited another Honda dealership, whose service was terrible, but they had a lower price for the car. Dave lowered the price of the car to better meet that price. He and the finance manager worked with Honda Finance to get a better rate than I thought I would've gotten, since I am young and had no cosigner. The man who helped with the warranty even worked with me to get a low price on an extended powertrain warranty, because I drive so much. I think everyone in this dealership really knows how to give good service and is very understanding of every customers personal and individual needs. When I need to buy another car I will come here, and I will also recommend them to everyone, I've already referred a few people who have asked me about my new car! Thanks so much Martin Honda!

Ed McDowell and Shari Godwin were a pure joy to work with. Both were very professional and just very down-to-earth (personable). I never got that "they really need this commission" feeling from either of them. It was all about me and what I was searching for in my next vehicle. It didn't seem at all disingenuous like they were putting on the "good sales person show". I like that. If anyone's in the market for a new car, I'm definitely going to recommend Martin Honda and I'm going to insist that they work with either Ed McDowell and/or Shari Godwin. For 4 months, I had been searching for a vehicle to replace my eight year old SUV. I limited my search to the Nissan Altima, Kia Optima, and Honda Accord. While the Optima is a great looking vehicle, I didn't want something that everybody seems to have right now. As for the Altima, the market is as saturated with this vehicle as well and I can honestly say that both come with more bells & whistles (standard) than the Accord Sport, which I have chosen. After spending 8 years in a gas guzzling SUV, I really wanted a car that would get better than 35 mpg highway. Ed McDowell and I test drove the Accord Sport. He explained the "Econ" button to me along with the vehicle's smart driving technology, which is illustrated by 2 thin semi-circle indicators surrounding the speedometer. In all fairness, I have to admit that I've never driven an Optima, but I have driven the Altima. In my humble opinion, the Accord offered a much better ride. And the re-sale value (if or when it ever comes to that) of a Honda Accord has been consistently higher than all vehicles in its class over recent years. On the day that I took ownership of my new 2013 Accord Sport, I worked with Shari Godwin. Ed was off celebrating his daughter's birthday; I respected that. #familyfirst After everything was done, I just sat in the car for about 25 minutes - just smiling and playing with the technology. Shari came back to check on me. "It's all good", I said as I cruised off the lot.

My sales experience was going well until after we negotiated a sales price. 5 things happened that disappointed me. 1. The car I wanted was not on the lot so they told me what the price was. Once I had the vehicle delivered to my house and saw the window sticker the price they quoted me was $350 higher than the sticker price. They never explained this even after questioning it via email. 2. After negotiating a price, the dealer added a $279 Administrative fee. This was never mentioned during negotiations. 3. There was supposed to be a $2,000 cash back offer. During negotiations I was going to take that into account on my offer. The sales guy told me I only qualified for $1,000. Turns out I actually did qualify for the $2,000 which was reflected on the final paperwork, however I was unable to account for that during negotiations. 4. The sales guy showed me my bottom line price and my monthly payments (including taxes and tags). I learned while signing the contract that the payment included the Tax and Tags but the bottom line price did not. Seems a little confusing to me. 5. While walking out after signing the contract the sales guy says..."you'll get a survey and it's important to give us ratings of all 10's. If you do that I'll give you two free tanks of gas." It's no wonder this dealership is rated #1...all the customers are bribed into giving stellar reviews. Not me! I gave an honest review and was contacted by the sales manager. To date she has done nothing to address my issues and concerns and has no explanation for why the original price quoted was higher than the window sticker price. She claims she called and left a voicemail but there is no evidence of missed calls or messages. I understand a buyer has to take responsibility for the typical dealer deception but if you read this review and still want to buy from this dealer please take my experience and learn from it and watch out or they'll get you too.

Recently a college graduate from the University of Delaware, I was fortunate enough to find a good job and was ready to make a move towards a new car. My girlfriend owns a 2001 Honda Civic so naturally with the great experiences from that car I moved towards a Honda. My parents had test driven Honda's with Dave a few years back and had a positive experience. Also when my girlfriend and I needed to get her car serviced the Service Center at Martin Honda was up to par price wise and not trying to nickle and dime for repairs not needed. Enough about background though. I had done my research prior to contacting Dave, knew that I wanted a new 2013 Honda Civic LX, nothing extra just the bare bones LX. I contacted Dave via email, had him give me his best price which was the best I received out of any local dealerships. I submitted credit application via the internet and was approved at the best APR financing in a day. By Saturday of that week I was into the dealership and purchased the car within a few hours as all the negotiating was done via email. Dave had the car ready, test drive was nice and smooth, did the paperwork and was out very quickly. A few notes. Dave does strongly recommend to customers that buy a car from his to visit this website and give him 5 stars across the board. With a background in sales, I know how it works, you want to get your brand (you) out in the best light possible. If you have a car in mind, or are doing your research via the internet you naturally will want to look up and see how others reviewed a salesman and their dealership. This is unbiased, at least for me as I have no problem saying I enjoyed my experience of didn't. Dave is a good guy, no b.s. pretty much a straight shooter from my experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Honda. I bought the car on June 22nd, have put 900 miles on it and no issues to mention as of yet. I am averaging about 35 mpg as well. On a side note to new car buyers. Make sure you have your insurance for the new car you want set out beforehand. If you are moving to buy contact insurance companies and negotiate your rate, to get the best deal possible, if you don't you'll spend time on the phone in the dealership with some crummy agent who will rip you off. The dealership won't let you drive off without the insurance for obvious reasons.

Our sales associate Shari Godwin was exceptional. We did not have to buy a car but were interested in the CRV. She took tthe time to go over colors and options. My wife found a color she liked with the options we wanted. The car was not in Martin"s stock but Shari found one and explained she could have it here the next day. We were trading in a car and had a price in mind what we felt the car was worth. We also had a payment in mind that we wanted. Shari fought to get us both. So we bought the car. We were scheduled to get the car on Saturday afternoon but we called first thing in the morning and asked if we could come early, Shari promptly repled no problem. Our entire experience with Martin Honda was great. We would recommend Martin Honda and especially Shari Godwin.

I originally came into the dealership with the simple intent of learning more about the new Honda Accord from a technology standpoint as I haven't owned a newer car in nearly a decade. Ed McDowell was the one who assisted me, even though I was clear that my intent was not to buy at the time, he really took it slow and answered all of my questions and did it in such a way that you would hope, he was excited about each piece of technology which in turn makes me excited about it. We parted, I thanked him and he gave me his card.Two months later I found myself right back in his office asking for him and he provided the same experience all over again. He has a very laid back demeanor and is not overly aggressive, which I think is to be desired in a salesman, because you feel like you have the time to make up your own mind. Ed is an extremely knowledgeable and gifted salesman, the questions I had he answered, the ones he didn't know he found the answers. This is my fourth Honda purchase/lease, and all have been through Martin Honda. All four times, Dave Romanoski was my salesman and has been outstanding. Every time that I have been to Martin, they have worked with my situation. I started leasing my vehicle and Martin always gave me an affordable/reasonable monthly payment. This last time, my lease was not up, but I was ready for a smaller more efficient vehicle, and Dave, along with the managers worked to get me into a new Civic. I have to commend Dave because not only was my situation not ideal, I also had to bring along my 5 year old daughter (which we all know is not fun to bring our children car shopping). Dave provided snacks, drinks, and a coloring book for my daughter, as well as took her around the showroom and included her in picking out our new car. I told him what we were interested in a safe car for our daughter that would be reliable as she was going away to school. I was quite impressed by Clark 's extensive knowledge of the cars and features. He gave me all the information and let me have some time to look at all the cars and models and took me on several test drives. Upon our arrival at the showroom, we were greeted and given a thorough tour of the Odyssey. A test vehicle was provided within minutes, which was very impressive- Dave inquired about our specific needs to select the best vehicle and model within out budget. I must say, Dave and Mr. Rockwell went above and beyond in satisfying our needs. Dave is a popular guy- he had three customers waiting patiently just to see him. Overall the experience was great from start to finish. We received several calls to assess our feedback about the vehicle (no complaints). In addition to the service, we were very appreciative of the other packages provided through Honda and I recommend this to anyone. Bad Bad and Bad Martin Mazda is not only over priced but also tend to cheat their customers. They gave me one quote last night which included taxes n tags n then later on completely backed away from his quotes and started adding other fees to the final price. The time it took was so very long. This time was a snap!!!! I couldn't really believe I just bought a BRAND NEW car. She was very honest with me and gave me great advise on how to improve my credit for my next car I buy from her!She also knows her product. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the car and how she explained everything I wanted to know. She even setup my bluetooth (ing) capabilities with my new GS3 phone. She didn't laugh too much when I couldn't back up correctly using the rear-view camera. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out the door either when I know I arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes before my appointment. She was literally just walking in for the start of her shift and hadn't even had the chance to relax before she starts. She still made me feel welcome anyway!I came into Martin Honda with very low expectations for a favorable outcome and a few days later was pleasantly surprised that this Sales Consultant can work MIRACLES!!!!! The price was reasonable and a lot better than what I expected. So I am very pleased with the cost!!!Oh, and the best thing out of this whole experience was that I left there with a brand new 2013 Honda Civic with only 7 miles on it. This experience has never happened to me ever! I haven't felt this good in a long time. Thank you Shari! I will send everybody I know to you!!! After looking for a nice clean used Suburban my wife and I came across one they had online. Called to confirm the vehicle was on the lot & travelled several hours to test drive it. All went well and the salesman was pleasant enough. After a little haggling back and forth over the price we finally agreed on a number. Apparently there was some miscommunication between the salesman & his manager resulting in me being offered a "exceptionally unbelievable deal". In any case we told them we would return the next day accompanied by my mechanic father who would inspect the vehicle before we signed anything. Long story short my father quickly suspected a problem as there was oil under the car after our test drive. He asked if they could put he vehicle up on a lift so he might inspect the undercarriage. No dice. So we took quickly took the car to a service station with a lift. Got it in the air and quickly identified a cracked transfer case ( $1800 repair) which appeared someone had previously tried to repair with some type of sealant. We took the car back to the dealership who of course denied knowledge of the problem / oil leak/broken transfer case.

This was the worst place I went to while I was looking to buy a new car. I new exactly what I wanted, how much I was willing to pay, how much I should pay etc... But it was a nightmare from the moment I got out of my car. I was first met with a cloud of smoke from all of the salesmen who were smoking out front, then I met multiple salesmen who treated me like a dumb girl, and finally they were down and out rude. I litterally just had to walk away and leave. They didn't know anything about their vehicles and were willing to lie instead of finding out the correct answers. When I called the next day to talk to a manager it was a total waste of time. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

I went on their web site and began researching the vehicles and even stumbled upon reviews for the sales representatives. Immediately I noticed the name Shari Godwin, because of how excellent her ratings were. So I took my time and read each review, and everyone on Shari's reviews had such great things to say, so I scheduled an appointment with her. I walked into the doors at Martin Honda on my initial appointment day, and I knew I made the right decision. Everyone was so friendly and professional, and not one time did I ever feel like "just another sale". I met with Shari and she was very personable, warm, honest and friendly. Shari had a wealth of knowledge and she took the time to educate me. Shari listened to my needs and and showed me several options and I was able to make the best decision for me. She was a peace in the midst of a storm for me, even taking her time to empathize with me on a personal note. Shari started with me right where I was and guided me right through the process. Ron, in the finance department was so friendly and patient. Ron and Shari were able to work with me and even offer me a lower monthly payment than I had set for myself! Martin did not have my color preferences in stock, but in less than 24 hours I was back at the dealership to pick up my car of choice in my color of choice. MAGNIFICENT , AWESOME, JUST THE BEST !!!!!!I was in last year at Martin Honda, met with Shari , took her advice on buying a new vehicle, although extremely satisfied with her and the dealership overall i left there and brought a car from somewhere else... WORST THING I COULD EVER DO!!!! Just recently this past December the car I brought from the other dealer started giving me problems and left me in a pinch. In a panic I thought of Shari Godwin, gave her call 20 minutes before she was scheduled to leave for the the day, and with no hesitation she picked up and told me she would wait for me to get there so she could assit me. I hate dealing with pushy salesmen. Andre was excellent and listening and sensing my needs and I never felt once that he was trying to make a sale. It was wonderful! I went in for an oil change on my old Honda and just browsed. Andre listened carefully to my needs, was very relaxed and played along with my "not wanting to buy a car today". I ended up leaving with a car that I fell in love with :-) Since I was not prepared to purchase and needed to get my title from home and transfer all of my belongings from my old car, Andre followed me home to help me unload and get my title so that I did not have to make a trip back. We live in Lincoln, DE but since we knew Tarawa and he highly recommended Shari instead of going to Dover Honda dealer we decided to give Shari a try even though it meant a longer ride. I tried to work with Martin Dealerships about Honda Accord multiple times. They are the closest Honda Dealers from home, both the times it did not work out.Started reaching out to nearby dealers for quotes, ended up at the another MARTIN HONDA Dealership few miles away. Went there worked with Sales Representative, test drove the vehicle, got a price quote. When asked about reducing couple hundred dollars, Sales Manager came, I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SALES MANAGER BEHAVE & TALK IN SUCH OFFENSIVE WAY to potential customers, left the dealership. Got a call & mail from the Sales Representative next business day who said they can reduce the pricing to the price that I asked for if I go back, I asked him if that price was do-able then why wasnt it accepted early and why did the Sales Manager behave such a way, no response.Didn't want to go back to the dealership and deal with the sales manager again, reached out to the local Martin Dealership and asked them if they can match the price provided by other Martin Dealership, they offered for a lot more and they cannot even come close.Not sure if I was lucky twice to work with 2 exclusive sales teams.BUT AFTER THESE TWO INCIDENTS I DON'T RECOMMEND MARTIN DEALERSHIPS and would not go back again. I will find another dealer for my current and future vehicle purchases.

I purchased an used vehicle from this dealership just about a month ago. Already, there is something wrong with my car. So the first thing I did was make an appointment for the service department. Had an appointment for 7am, believing that my car would be looked at that morning. I decided to give them a call, 8 hours later to get the status of my car. Come to find out, they didn't even take a look at it yet. I was not informed that my car would not be looked at first, as well as it not being done of course. The service department inconvenienced me a great deal, being without a car until they are finished with it. When I asked about a temporary car or a loaner car until then, Joe informed me that it wouldn't be possible. Worst experience ever!

Just got back from Martin Mazda and let me tell youI wouldn't take a fire extinguisher from them if I was on fire. Here is what happened. I contacted them online after seeing a lease buyout offer they have on their site. They responded quickly but the woman that responded (Andrea) knew nothing about cars, offers or where she works. She simply passed the buck to someone else. Why she is responding to these requests I have no idea. She did give me a name of someone I could speak to (Eric P.) and made me an appointment for the next day. So I show up the next day for my appointment, on time and with wife and baby in tow. I ask for Eric and he is nowhere to be found. Another Eric (wouldn give his last name) starts talking to us. I tell him what wee looking for (buy out our lease and buy a new cx-5). No offer of a test drive, not even a chair. As soon as the man heard lease, he couldn care less what was said after that. The fake smile went away and he suggested I go to a competitor and see if they would be willing to do something. So that exactly what I did. I drove about half a mile to Newark Toyota and told them the same thing. No problem. They listened and did everything needed to get the deal done. After this fiasco, I wouldn recommend Martin Mazda to my worst enemy. One star is too much of rating.

Shari was very professional, I called her and told her I was ready to turn in my lease and told her what I wanted and what I wanted my payment to be. When I arrived, Shari basically had everything done. She was multi-tasking. I test drove my car and everthing else went very very smoothly. I arrived at Martin at 7:30 pm and was driving home by 9pm, whereelse will that be done....only at Martin with Shari. Shari is also very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I originally came into Martin Honda because I was getting an oil change and some other work done on my car. A representative called me from the Sales Department to ask me if I wanted to trade in my Honda Civic 2008. I was a little hesitant because my credit was bad. I told them all of this information up front and they still ensured me that they could work with me. I went in to get more details about the trade in and David Romanoski greeted me instantly. He was very friendly. I explained to him that someone had called me, but I could not remember his name. He looked around for the gentleman who had called me, but unfortunately he was not available. Dave jumped right in and started to assist me. He was very patient with me. I explained my credit situation and he had me fill out paper work to see if I would be approved for a loan. When he found out that Honda Financial Services would finance me, he took the lead and got the car ready for, got the tags, and even called my insurance company to switch my old car to my new car. Dave even came in on his day off to ensure my experience was enjoyable! The finance department was extremely helpful. I told them what I could afford and they got me to as close to that payment as they possibly could. I have been a Martin Honda customer since 2008; I bought my first car there and I use their mechanics. I feel that they offer the best service in New Castle County and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. It has honestly been an enjoyable experience for me and I am a lifetime customer!

I purchased a new Honda Fit from Dave Eno and he was wonderful, helpful and knowledgable I had previously owned two Hondas before. The price we agreed upon was satisfactory and I was thrilled. However,after signing the papers as the shop was detailing the car they accidentally bumped into a pillar in the garage and damaged my rear bumper enough to warrant a new bumper. After this I ordered floor mats which did not come with my car, and was quoted a price for them. When I took the car in to have the bumper replaced, they installed the floor mats at the same time, and I was charged full price for the mats and installation. I felt the dealership could have overlooked the cost of the mats, since I overlooked the damage to my new car. My complaint was not with Dave but rather the dealership, I felt they should have made some sort of adjustment. I had to make two extra trips to the dealership once for the bumper and mats and once to pick up my tags. When I went to have the bumper replaced I was sent from the service dept. to collision and then back to service, where it was eventually replaced. When I went to pick up my tags I was told to go go Martin Mazda and that the tags were there and that they would put them on for me. The gentlemen at Mazda told me the Honda dealership should put them on for me. I went into the Mazda dealership and picked up the tags and the receptionist in the showroom was nice enough to find someone to put them on for me. I realize the dealership is in cahos with the new construction but the communication between the branches for the needed services. The important thing is I am happy with my car and I would do business with Dave again.

Best experience ever! Larry Murray was thorough, truthful and upfront, no gimmicks or unwanted surprises. He handled everything wonderfully. Got a terrific deal and was always respected. Kimberly Spencer handled the financial papers and was terrific. Returned for license plates; Frank was outside, came over and went out of his way to help us get them (he walked across the street and picked them up for us!)and had us follow to service to put them on in just a few minutes! Service put on hitch and gave loaner for day keeping me updated. Absolutely wonderful place!This is a terrific place to purchase or service a Honda!

My husband and I went to Honda after work. We were in between the decision of buying or leasing a car. Mr. Romanoski was very welcoming and friendly. He answered all questions and concerns. He even weighed the pros and cons of each. He then let us go test drive the cars. He wasn't pushy or overwhelming. We then made a decision on the new Honda Accord. Its a beautiful car. My wife, Kathy, and I were each looking for a new car and had looked at various dealers, and test driven various cars. We were actually close to finalizing a deal at another dealership when we decided to visit Martin Honda. We met Eric Marefat and he was really great to work with. He knew everything about the different Honda models and answered all of our many, many questions patiently and with good humor. He seemed to go the extra mile in trying to be of service, managing to get the car I wanted from another dealer. He was also the only agent we met who was able to get Kath the car she wanted. We knew from speaking to various other dealers that getting the color and features Kath wanted in a 2011 CRV, especially a navigation system, could be very difficult, but to our surprise, Martin Honda had the very car Kath was hoping to get. Eric was also extremely helpful in going through the financial terms with us and we were delighted to find that we would be able to get our two cars at a satisfactory price. Although Kath brought in some brownies for Eric when we picked up our cars, we really felt some other way of thanking him was in order. I feel certain we will turn to Eric in the future for all of our car needs and will recommend him to our friends and family.

We went to Martin Honda in 1997 and bought new Honda Accord. We had that car until very recently when it was in an accident and totaled. We went in 2005 to lease a car because our youngest daughter was just learning to drive and after a poor experience elsewhere , we decided to lease a Civic and let her drive the Accord. That was our first experience with Shari. We have since purchased or leased 4 more Hondas from Shari, each experience as good as the last. Shari is a hard worker, a smart worker, compassionate and extremely professional. Also, our other two daughters have purchased Hondas, from Shari. She does her best to make everyone comfortable and is true to her word. That is rare in today's world. Shari goes out of her way to help, no matter how small the issue. She follows up with phone calls, post cards and letters. Shari is a gem and Martin is really lucky to have her. That old expression "Would you buy a car from this person?" certainly does not apply to Shari. We will continue to buy cars from her as long as she works for Martin and we have no qualms sending other people to see her.

I went to Martin Honda in 2006 because my local Honda dealer was unwilling to work with my husband and I. After this experience my expectations wern't high. Later that day we arrived at Martin Honda, I was blown away... The courtesy and desire shown to us to get the deal that we wanted was refreshing. Needless to say this brought me back to purchase my second Honda in 2008 and my third Honda Oct.28th 2011. I'm writing now to say that after my first experience I didn't think that things could get better but they did. My husband and I were met on the lot by Barry who toke the time answering our questions. We were then introduced to Shari Godwin. Shari made me feel very comfortable and truly made me feel that she was there for my best intrest. Shari toke what I said and was able to communicated it to Phil Rockwell, sales manager,so that I could leave with a new car that day. Shari and Phil together truely made us feel like valued customers. When I go back for my next Honda I will be looking forward to working with Shari and Phil. There seems to be a short supply of some models, but Bruce assured me that he was able to get the color and model I was looking for and did so at a great price. Aweful dealership. Will never buy from again and have told all my friends and family to go buy in MD. For the best price and customer service. Left us in his office for 45 mins for another customer showing them the same car we where interested in!!! Rude staff, SPAM emails don't waste your time. Tried to work with Bruce via emails to make a deal and completely ignored me and never returned my calls.
