MY PROBLEM IS WITH THE SALES AND MANAGEMENT OF THIS DEALER. MY SALESMAN TOMMY FOULS WAS VERY NICE BEFORE AND DURING THE SALE. THE PROBLEM STARTED WHEN THE SALE WAS OVER AND WE HAD QUESTIONS REGARDING THE FINANCE, WE EXPLAINED THAT THE PAYMENTS WERE TO HIGH AND MR. FOULES SAID HE WOULD TALK TO THE MGT.AND THEY WILL GET IT DOWN. WELL THAT DID'T HAPPEN, HE OFFFERED US A $500.00 REFUND TO PUT TOWARD THE PAYMENT. WE DIDN'T LIKE IT BUT SAID OK. EVEY TIME I CALLED TO SEE WHEN WE WERE GETTING THE $500.00 WE GOT A BS STORY. THE LAST TIME I SPOKE TO MR. FOULS HE SAID THE MANAGER SAID HE WOULD GIVE US SOME FREE OIL CHANGES INSTEAD OF THE $500.00, I TOLD HIM I WASN'T GOING TO DRIVE 45 MIN. We were looking for a late model certified vehicle with reasonably low mileage. Purchased our similar trade-in vehicle at M-C 5 years ago and were looking to update. A few of their vehicles met our criteria and the rep was very helpful. It also helps that we had set our criteria, were not looking for an adversarial relationship, and had a bottom dollar number range in mind. It also helped that we had maintained service and other visits over the years. The dealer maintained a quite well organized inventory to minimize vehicle viewing time, and there is a relatively large number of vehicles to choose from. Matthew-Currie will be our first choice when we look for another vehicle somewhere down the road.

i am mostly satisfied with all the work you have done on my truck, however sometimes your pricing is way off. ie: 3-exhaust sensors for 0ver 900.00$ i got it done at a local shop for 460.00$. this doesn't make me too confident in having you do too much work on my truck. marc

To begin with this review, I wish I could give it negative stars but unfortunately I have to give it a star to even post a review. This dealership does not even deserve, the one star. I had discussed over the details about the vehicle and all the paperwork prior to me arriving at the dealership. All I needed to do was sign and get my car and be on my merry way... If only we lived in a perfect world. Once I arrived I looked over the car and test drove it, they also informed me it needed some maintenance on it which I was okay with as long as I got my car the day they specified. I took time out of my busy schedule to conform to what was now a rising problem. I was informed that the car would be ready the next day... now, as this was an inconvience I was okay, just as long as I got my new car. The next day I began to call the sales person on my way up to the dealership and was being ignored on my drive up there. I instead had to go around the salesperson and speak with a manager to see what was going on with my vehicle. After we finished discussing my matter with the manager, the salesperson immediately called me back and stated that my car wouldn't be ready as promised. Luckily I didn't get far and turned back. It is now the third day since I was informed my car would be ready and I signed paperwork and still no car or phone call from this dealership. My calls kept getting dodged and I kept being ignored and management is "always busy" with customers... To anyone out there dealing with this dealership, beware of the typical car salesman and a dealership just looking to get a quick buck out of the people they should be helping as well as deceiving and lying to it's paying customers.

We weren't initially looking to buy a new car, just needed something to fit my growing family and wanted to "see what was out there". We came in to look and left after only 2 hours with a new car!!!!! Randy was our associate, and he went ABOVE & BEYOND. Car buying and car dealerships are probably my least favorite thing, ever. But Randy was sweet and understanding to my two young children, personable and open to all of our wants and needs. His knowledge of not only car buying and the business; but his kindness and concern was profound! HE made this the simplest process by far. While the process was simple enough purchasing the vehicle, which is the case in most dealerships, the true character of a company shows after the purchase. I have been trying for two weeks now to get in contact with the finance manager Jerrod to assist me with an issue with my extended service warranty. He has avoided my phone calls and has yet to repspond to multiple voicemails I have left. There are many car dealers to choose from, this is one I would avoid.

They have had a camaro listed on their website site for about a month they are asking 2k for this car with 53k miles on it, I put an online inquiry on it I got 2 phone calls asking if I was going to go to the dealership and take a look at it when arriving to the dealership the car was already "sold" and this is now 2weeks later the camaro is still on the website.

These guys are complete shysters, incompetent as well. The only reason I stuck with these guys was because the truck they had is last one like it in the US. They gave me the run around during negotiations then after we came to an agreement they ran my credit and approved me, my score is above 800 so no problem, they explained to me how I had to finance the truck to get the rebates, I was going to pay cash for truck, so I went along with financing half and put down $25,000. I live part time in puerto vallarta mexico and told them I was flying in to sign paperwork. 2 hours before my flight they email me saying they sold truck to someone else. After they promised me the truck was mine and they "pulled the keys" and truck was waiting for me and we had an appt next day to finalize. I went through a week working on this deal, I spent hundreds of dollars getting there and had to make extensive plans to travel and have house watched while up here buying this truck. They ran my credit so now this will damage my credit rating since I will have to go shopping around all over again and another dealer will have to run credit again, which damages credit rating. These guys are highly unethical bordering on illegal. So here I am in florida after long flight that was delayed and didn't get to my hotel until 2:30 am, after all that they have sold the truck and now I have to start all over again, fly back to mexico without a truck that I needed to tow a boat down. AND I've spent all this money and time and hassle of flying here. Stay away from Matthews Currie Ford!!!!

We have been looking for a good used SUV and had visited several dealerships in the Tampa area. We decided to visit Matthews Currie Ford in Nokomis because we saw a couple of SUV's advertised and we also have heard very good things about them. This was the first time in the past couple of weeks we had a salesperson who asked us what we wanted and showed us exactly what we wanted. No runaround, no back and forth with sales managers, etc. We made an offer and they had the respect to let us know immediately what they could do. No runaround! Troy was our sales person and he was so accomodating. He never rushed us and he never made is feel like he was doing us a favor, if you know what I mean. We are so glad there are still good honest car dealerships around and you can tell when the owner trusts his people and the job they do. As recent immigrants we were new to the whole buying procedure but Chris Hollister was great in guiding us through the process. He offered us a good deal on the vehicle we wanted and then helped us through the licensing and registration process as well as helping us sort out insurance. The sales rep is exactly the kind of person that gives car dealerships a bad reputation. After agreeing to a price, he tried to add in a $600 "dealer fee." His explanation is that it is "clearly" disclosed on the autotrader ad, which is absolutely not true (while there is some unclear language in a "disclaimer" at the end of the ad, there is certainly no mention of a huge $600 "dealer fee"). If they are going to try to pull that off, I am sure they are lying about other things as well. Horrible.

The cause of the problem was found, the problem wqs eliminated. This required extensive amount of time and labor, ie removal of entire dashboard and installation of entire new ac system. The car was returned "better than new" thanks to the head service manager.

I went to Matthew-Currie Ford last August looking for a dependable car for doctor appts. and shopping, etc. I purchased a 2005 Kia Sedona with 98,000 miles and also purchased an extended warranty for an additional cost of $1800. From Aug. '15 to Feb. '16 I put on less than 1000 miles. While in Englewood it would not start, no warning. Had it towed to shop and they said that it was the crank sensor and water pump. Cost over $1300 with warranty only paying about $700 of it. One week later and less than 50 miles later it started making noises and then wouldn't start. Had it towed to them again. They now say it is the alternator which will cost almost $500 to repair and isn't covered, plus that my power steering unit is going, also not covered. During first repair I was informed that the front brakes were bad. The van has been there for over two weeks as I try to get them to work a deal for another car for me. No luck. I am disabled and on social security and can't afford all the repairs, that's why I purchased the warranty. I will be bringing the van back home and it will sit until I can figure out how to pay for repairs. I went with a dealer instead of private sale so I would have some "peace" knowing I would be sold a decent car. After getting the run around by salesmen and sales manager for over two weeks I finally just had my van picked up and brought home. Thankfully my step-dad and one of his friends who is retired mechanic looked the van over. The alternator was NOT bad, there was just a wire broken. They fixed the wire and the van starts and runs fine. As far as power steering unit, the fluid was low and is no longer making any noises. I was charged $98.86 for diagnostic which came to conclusion :Verified concern: Alternator is bad and power steering unit pump is making noise. RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT OF BOTH" Good thing I didn't have the money because I would have spent close to $1000 for UNNEEDED repairs. SHAME ON THESE GUYS. I thought it was just the salesmen side that was bad, now it is both sales and service. UPDATE:Here it is now June 7th and I have heard NOTHING from anyone after being told they were looking into my complaints. I still have the van and am driving it as needed but it still has bad brakes, need to add power steering fluid every couple weeks and the ac doesn't work very well. My other issue is I got pre-approved for a loan to see about getting into another vehicle but all they have done is try to get a loan for me thru multiple (over 6) lenders. I keep getting letters from them which affect my credit score. The one car they wanted to sell me they offered NOTHING for my van, they just were going to add what I owed to purchase price. I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them nor refer anyone. They respond that they want to fix the problems, then do nothing.

I was very happy with the service but also surprised to find out that the drivers who were designated to pick up or deliver customers do not have a GPS. The driver I had was 20 minutes or more trying to find my home and I was late for a Memorial service which did not make me happy. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

Service Really Makes The Difference..!! AWESOME..!!!I purchased my new truck from Richard Freeman at Mathew Currie and couldn't be happier with my decision to choose this particular dealership/salesman. I have owned the truck for a year and I stopped by today (without an appointment) to look into getting my oil changed and to check on a minor noise I was hearing. The service person was super helpful and Richard Freeman came out from the sales floor to make sure everything was OK. To make a long Story Short, Richard said I could leave the truck now and he would put me in a loaner (even though they did not have a rental on site ready) until my truck was ready. I was not thinking of leaving my truck now but that would definitely help if I did not have to make another trip to the dealership. He said no problem and ran out in the typhoon like rainstorm (he got soaked) and got me a car with a smile. This is the kind of service I have become familiar with from Richard & Mathew Currie. I had a very pleasant and relaxing experience purchasing brand new tires. I had spent some time getting written quotes from tire stores. I preferred replacing my worn tires with the same tires that were on my brand new 2013 Ford transit Connect XLT. Matthews Currie of Nokomis was able to match those competitive prices.They had my tires on inventory so I went with them. I decided to wait the two hours to get the brand new tires installed. I left at 5 pm when the service department closed with my new tires. A Big Thanks to Kurt & Russell for making this all happen..

I had damaged the underneath of my car due to an accident. The service representative was thorough in taking my information and as I thought it might just need to be checked out was prepared to wait for my car to return home. However extensive damage merited my needing to leave my car. My husband was unable to pick me up so I had a courtesy ride home offered. We were kept informed on each step of the extent of the damage by phone from our initial service representative. After understanding the sequence of items being checked we were prepared for the worst. However due to their meticulous checking and testing the alternator and catalytic converter housings were found to be cracked. That was the good news there were no repairs needed. However it was found that having our service and maintenance done locally (which was closer for us) had almost cost us a lot of repairs and money from not being thoroughly checked out and replaced. It was costly but could have been so much worse for us if it had not been found and continued to be neglected. Therefore I can honestly state that Matthews Curry Ford service department is considered the very best in our opinion.

I had planned maintenace done of the 2011 Fusion, had a recall completed and asked to have car inspected for light out in the shifter console.The first two items were completed satisfactorily.I was told that the shifter would have to be replaced at a cost nearing $600. I would have preferred that the damaged wiring be repaired at a much lower cost (I would have signed a waiver) than to replace the entire system because of a damaged cable wire.

My girlfriend and I are completely satisfied with our buying experience with John Howard. He did everything he could to make sure we were not only happy with the 2015 Ford Expedition and the 2015 Camero but that it was exactly what we wanted. Never at any point did we feel pressured to buy. In fact it was quite the opposite. He was very patient with us, especially on Monday night as you were closing up for the night. Since it was after closing on Monday, Travis Morales, in finance helped to stay late and make sure the deal went through to the specifics we needed. His extra effort to make the numbers work for us was very appreciated. 2015 Taurus w/10,000 miles- Asked to check headlights because we have to drive on darkened roads with our high beams on. Oncoming cars NEVER flash their lights at us but we were told that they are not out of adjustment, and there was no way to implove the brightness. Therefore we must continue to drine with our highbeams on at all times, this is not a solution to the problem.

He was open and honest while walking through and explaining every thing throughout the process. No hard hitting sales pitch here just exemplary service and the best prices around by far. the entire staff was friendly and accommodating to myself and my dog as well. The above 'recommendation' to this dealership is with reservations, since the option is only 'either or'.All the personnel I met were friendly and courteous, including the salesman.However,I went looking foran older model pickup, low monthly payments between $150 and $2OO mon., not much more than $10-12K minus trade-in and $2k Down. I kept asking the rep. the cost and the monthly payment andhe kept avoiding an answer, though mostly courteous throughout. The paper I saw on his desk , in outstanding black letters,was $14,688. He said he was able to get it down to that. That, to me, meantthe asking price, and with the (really low) trade-in amount and my $2000. cash, it would be in myaffordable range. What I didn't realize was that the $14K figure was AFTER , not before my cash input,so the total net amount financed was over $17K, with about $250 monthly payments, which I became aware of after I had signed the barrage of papers. It was like getting caught in a rip tide andcoming out of it (at signing time) in a daze, signing one paper after another and trusting that my interests as the customer, were more valued than the sale made by the representative. However,that didn't happen, and I'm burdened with a long term loan and high monthly payment, on a retiree's fixed income. Being up front in every step,based on the customer's parameters , limitations and wishes, and not 'making a sale' on the rep's wants, creating a possible long term hardship for the customer, is good for the customer, the salesman, and the image of the dealership. I've bought a number of pickups over the years at Matthew Currie. It appears that the vehicle I bought was a good value under other circumstances, but not mine. I trust my recent experience is not the norm now.

My 2013 Ford fusion was less than a month over its warranty expiration date. We had 13,600 miles on the vehicle. It has been a great auto for us, but one component failed, the BLIS (Blind Spot Information System). Our service representative went to bat for us to share the expense of repair because the mileage was so low. While it was still expensive, I feel that he did everything possible to make the situation right. I believe that they value our loyalty to return for our service needs. We have two vehicles and we will continue to use Mathews Currie Ford in Nokomis, FL.

We agreed on the phone to their advertised price for a new F150 less credit for an agreed upon value of my car to be traded in (at less than blue book value). I drove two hours to the dealership to complete the sale. After waiting there an hour, they showed me the paperwork giving me $2,500 less for my trade than we had agreed upon. When I refused to accept this, they said they needed their mechanic to look at my car the next day, so I left. The next day they called and told me their mechanic said the transmission was shot and needed a $10,000 repair. I drive the car daily and it has been regularly serviced and know there is nothing wrong with it. But, since I reside two hours away I had my car towed to the nearest service department to confirm for them that my car and transmission is in perfect condition. When I gave them the paperwork proving this, they said they changed their mind and don't want the trade in car at the agreed price. I have completely wasted two full days of my time making two trips to Nokomis, unnecessarily and incurred the expense of towing my car to a local service department to prove the condition of my trade in car to them, only to learn that they were renegging on their agreement (unless I pay them at least $2,500 more than agreed). I don't know how this dealership stays in business and I would not believe anything they say. They cannot be trusted!

Hubby and I went "visiting" this Ford dealership kind of on a whim. I wanted a car for myself, but had not yet decided what kind. I kept vacillating. Do I want a Convertible, a foreign car, or an American made car. We saw several "cute" models, but nothing grabbed my attention. That is until I saw this cute little Ford Fiesta! I dealt with the best sales manager in the business! He was so willing to deal with me and went the extra mile to accommodate me. No condensending attitude, no belittling conversation, and talked to me as an equal. How refreshing! Travis Morales is the outstanding sales manager and Jared Nesmith is the business manager who also was a great person to work with. I highly recommend this dealership.

Matthews-Currie Ford I just purchased a new used 2015 suv from here. will NEVER. EVER. Go here again. First of all, my husband and i purchased a vehicle one of their employees was driving. We wanted the tow package to be put on so they took our trade and gave us a rental until the tow package was completed. They kept it for 4 days. We came back to pick it up, filthy on the inside, dog hair everywhere and a dirty food plate under the passenger seat. It had 74 more miles on it then when we bought it. The hitch place is not 37 miles round trip...Got in it and drove it down the road the bearings on the front left were still bad and made a grinding sound when i took my foot off the brake and began driving. I called back and Edgar gave us yet another rental until it was fixed. Came back today after they "fixed" what they said was wrong. There is still a creaking noise when we take our foot off the brake and accelerate. Still dog hair and grease marks on the handles inside... We are NOT happy campers. Talked to Brad the manager and he scoffed it off and just apologized offering no help whatsoever. So fed up will NOT recommend this place to anyone. This is not how you are supposed to do proper business.

After looking for a truck for over 7 moths and many dealerships in the area and several disappointments, I called Danny P at Matthews-Currie Ford told him what I was looking for and my price range and within the hour I received a call back with I have the truck and within your budget for you come in and pick it up. I arrived at 5:30 truck was beautiful cleaned gas and ready. I met with Jason Massey and he gave me the details and I was super excited. from the time I walk in in to the time he was done going over all the gadgets in the truck I was out within 2 hrs driving my truck. I have to give out a big Thanks to Russell G in the service depart as well for answering all the engine question I have and than checking with me at a later time to make sure I have no questions or concerns. And when you walk inside to arrange to have a oil change in a vehicle that came from your sales room. I called to make an appointment to have my transmission checked on my 2014 Fiesta and they told me there was a recall on it. They took care of that problem and changed my oil at the same time. They also helped me order some touch-up paint for some scratches. Everyone was very helpful and it works much better now.

I had been shopping dealerships both in person and online for the past 4 months looking for a 2013 or newer Ford Edge. Found lots of cars online that dealerships in my area showed on their website -- only to get to the dealership and they didn't have the vehicle yet it was still posted online. Ugh! A friend finally told me to check cars.com so I did and that's how I came across Matthews-Currie Ford. They are 72 miles one way from where I live, but they had multiple cars that were in my price range and style. Didn't call to confirm internet cars posted as I had done so before and ALL 7 other dealerships said they had them and they didn't have them onsite like Reps said but they wanted to get me to their dealership and then sell me something else once they got me there ! I thought I would just drive to the dealership and know whether to eliminate them from my list of dealerships to search! I am soooooo glad I made the drive ! Got to Matthews-Currie and much to my surprise -- they had EVERY car that I had bookmarked from the internet to look at ! Was super impressed by that alone -- Randy showed me cars that I requested and I bought my 2013 Edge from him on the spot ! He explained about the Certified pre-owned versus used... I bought the CPO (cert pre-owned) after speaking to Randy. He took the time to answer all my questions and was not like your typical sales rep who hears you speaking but then attempts to sell you something totally different or pressure you into upgrading or purchasing additional service plans , he actually listened to me and that alone is what makes this dealership stand out from others ! They tell you about all the benefits they offer but the choice to purchase is up to you - NO PRESSURE ! Jared Nessmith completed purchasing paperwork and again-- answered my questions - had a great smile and seemed happy to assist me in my car buying purchase -- I think it was the easiest and fastest signing I've ever done. I went on their website the next day to see if the car I purchased was still on their website , just to check up and see prior to writing this review and it was not. In fact - on my saved cars that I had on my computer, It was marked Sold ! Which means they are on their game -- if you see it on their site - they have it on their lot ! In closing let me say this -- by far - they have the best prices and best customer service of any Ford dealership in Florida in my opinion - and I have been buying and driving Ford vehicles for over 20 years and have dealt with many dealerships ! Don't waste your time with others, it's too precious ! Start here first and you'll be glad you did !

I would like to see more training for your lube techs. Instead of pounding on the air cleaner to get the top off,use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp and remove the hose then the top will come off, no problem.

I had a flat tire on the highway. The spare was not a full sized tire and as such I needed to buy a new tire. A couple of observations for Ford in general: stop with the mini spares, they serve no real purpose. You cannot drive highway speeds and you can't go far. Also the Fusion jack is a joke: it only works if ground near the flat tire slopes away from the tire. As for Mathew Currie, everyone was courteous, but very busy. I had to wait an hour &1/2. And you could have checked the tire pressure of my other tires when installing the new tire. Shortly after leaving the dealership and on the highway, the low tire pressure warning re-turned which necessitated another stop.

12/02/2015 My grandson took off from home and I had an appointment to meet with Greg Rocklein at the Mathew-Currie Ford dealership in Nokomis FL. I had reviewed the dealerships pre-owned vehicles and wanted to look at 5 cars. We arrive arrived around 0930 and Greg bought up the Car-fax reports for each auto. He then took us around the dealership lots in a golf cart to find the ones we wanted to test drive. This was very nice not have to walk to each auto. He was very pleasant to work with, no high pressure tactics were applied and he his genuine nice guy to work with. My grandson had a 2002 Dodge we wanted to trade and get him in a car that he could afford. Greg did the job for us. We had selected a Ford Focus and it recently came in on trade at the dealership and they had performed the normal inspection yet. Greg sent the car to the detail department to have the inspection and do a complete detail job on the car. The oil was change with a filter, the tires were rotated and the front right had to be balanced. All the fluids were checked. The interior leather was conditioned and car complete cleaned for our delivery. While all this was happening we meet with the finance person and he took great car of getting this car financed for my 21 y/o grandson. If you are in the market for a car Mathew-Currie Ford is the place to buy it. If I need a car in the future I will return to this dealership! Thank you for a great experience with a first time buyer. I purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima. The salesman, Don Nass was adequate. He seemed distracted during the transactiom. He kept leaving me sitting at his desk and made phone calls to other customers but he at the same time was not overly pushy about the sale which I have experienced.I have had to bring the car back 5 days after purchasing because of service messages on my dashboard. I was not satisfied with the fix because he merely reset the warnings and no mechanic looked at the vehicle. Also had to replace wiper blades after I picked up the vehicle.

SERVICE NOTE: This car has had a rough 1-2 shift SOMETIMES at light throttle since it was new. Soon after purchase I brought back to M-C Ford to check this. Result was "nothing is wrong." Since having the Purge Valve replaced this past 10 days, the rough 1-2 shift at light throttle has been cured!! I believe MC Service should make note of this for future service complaints. I believe the purge valve was not operating properly/sticking/intermittant since the car was new. If the valve was not closing properely it could affect manifold vacuum, engine mixture and transmission modulation.Bill Zoller

i took car in for oil change and tire rotation found a coupon and other family members have had great luck with them. The next morning I go to get in car for work and had a broken tire stud and flat tire. Had to call AAA auto club, as my small air compressure would not air up tire, seems like tire steam is problems. Had to rent and car to go out for out for a few days, taking car to a tire dealer to to have it repaired. The problem I see is if tire stud was broken, why did they tell me and have it repaired?

I came to see about buying a new car from this dealership, when I asked the salesperson was there any deals for any of the cars, he said, only the ones from the factory but NONE from the dealer because they are still paying for the Remodel they did here a while ago. If they are going to cry the blues about how much they paid for the remodel, I do not need to pay a car here, maybe they will be out of business if times are tough with them. I will going up to Sarasota and buy a car there.

Visit #1 I brought my vehicle in for a "simple" oil pan gasket replacement. Return trip # 1 still leaking "bolts were not tightened properly on pan" Return trip #2 still leaking "gasket must have been pinched on install Return trip # 3 still leaking "bad gasket" Return trip # 4 still leaking "there's a second leak not originally found, we will have to drop transmission". Now I'm scared. They cant fix a "simple" oil pan gasket now they need to drop my transmission. Return trip # 5 I go to pick up my vehicle 5 days later after being told I'm "all set". When I try to leave the parking lot my vehicle wont go into the drive gear they "incorrectly hooked my linkage in the shifter" (vehicle driver seat, steering wheel and arm rest are coved in grease. The exhaust in MUCH louder from poor reinstall) Leave the truck. Return trip # 6 Truck returned, oil leak fixed, Now I have a MUCH louder truck and 3000 miles later my transmission is slipping. I can't speak on the sales dept. but, DO NOT GO FOR SERVICE ... a dealers true money maker.

I hate walking into car dealers. The day before I went to Matthews Currie, I went to a different dealer and my fears were confirmed, because it was a terrible experience. So I was surprised and delighted when I met Martin Sintove. The entire experience was different than any I'd had at a car dealership; he was polite, listened, didn't push, and seemed to genuinely care that I got the right car for me. When I returned two days later to purchase a car the experience was the same -- no pressure, no nonsense, just excellent service. I don't remember the name of the other gentleman who did the paperwork with me, but he too was terrific. What a difference! Kudos for Matthews Currie Ford and your staff.

From helping us find the car that we wanted, to following through after the sale with a flawless satellite radio install, he went out of his way to make sure everything went perfectly. Starting a search for a new car is stressful enough; dealing with salespeople, test driving and looking for just the right one. My journey took me to Matthews-Currie Ford where I was helped by Tony Richards. Tony was very laid back, easy going and willing to let me test drive a ton of cars as well as answer all my questions, even though it was close to closing time (he actually end up staying almost an hour after). I did end up finding a car that fit all my needs and I would certainly be willing to drive from Tampa to Nokomis and work with Tony again.

I bought a 2012 ford fiesta and though have tried to be patient and couteous am losing confidence in this matter. I have been treated rudely since the first day i walked thru the door the only reason i even bought a car there was because of the best salesman ever and that is matt smith. He dealt with the problems and i was always treated courteously and customer service was awesome. Once I started dealing with service dept directly it went downhill quickly. To date my car has been in the shop six times for same problem the transmission. Twice it was very scarey when I wasnt able to get thru an intersection and thought the transmission was coming out of the car. The last visit n the next scheduled appt is with gascarth ford theyve been so understanding and polite and helpful even though they did not sell me the car they have been awesome and so professional if myself or anyone I Know wants to buy a car Iwill recommend gascarth ford .

I have leased Ford Products since 1953 (that's 62 years) and my experience of leasing a new Fiesta on July 13, 2015 was by far the best experience ever in taking delivery of a new vehicle . Luckily I got a salesman, Greg Lockheim, that new the product he was selling and presented all the options in obtaining the vehicle so well I was able to get the car I wanted at a great price, thanks to his digging for every price break, and breaking through the awful paper signing ordeal in record time. I found every one I dealt with at Matthew Curry courteous and efficient .

We stopped in to look at some used vans. The cars were unlocked and available to look at. We commented that we were not being besieged by salesman until we wanted to talk to someone. We met with Jeff Reeves and it was like talking to your neighbor. No pressure, he gave us a quote and he told us how they could handle everything if we were interested. We left as we had an appointment with another dealership. Totally different experience. Numbers were all subject to change and they kept wanting to have us meet the chain of command. We returned to Matthew-Currie and met with Jeff again. We traded vehicles and they did all the paper work for loan, title, plates, etc. It was the easient and most pleasant experience we have had in dealing with a car salesman. Very impressed. The team at Mathew Currie ford was exceptional, they got us in the vehicle of our choice, at a price we could live with! They gave us extend time with the vehicle while they were getting approval and filled the gas tank.They offer coffee and other refreshments while you wait and the closing took ten minutes. The truck came out from the cleaning department looking brand new and ready to roll! Great job!!!

I had a good experience overall. Edgar was very helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. I did not give an excellent rating due to the car shown on the website was a older model car. I fortunately found out that it was a newer version of the type of car I was interested in, and that there was a mix up with the pictures. I have been driving a Ford Focus which I purchased from Ken McMahon a couple of years ago. Yesterday, I decided to try to trade it in. I wasn't really happy with it. Well, Ken was busy and asked if I would see Gary Sebo. He said that he was a good friend of his. Well, I said sure and we sat down to see if it would be possible to trade in a car that was upside down. He went through all the options, answered every question I could think of and was totally honest with me. Normally, I try to avoid car sales people like the plague. However, he had so much integrity, I ended up with a brand new Ford Escape. I couldn't be happier. There was not a stone left unturned. He also showed me everything I needed to know about my car. We had initially wanted to purchase a Jeep but the sales staff in Venice and Sarasota were the definition of "sleazy salesmen". Don Nass was a breath of fresh air. No pressure, he always did what he said he would do for us and even after we purchased our vehicle when he could have blown us off, he went above and beyond making sure certain questions we had were answered. I just purchased a Brand New 2015 F-150 from Richard Freeman (Salesman) and the process was seamless. About 2 weeks after the purchase I was taking a vacation and towing my boat to the Florida Keys. Unfortunately there was a malfunction in the electrical portion of the rear end which caused failure to the vehicle. I was stranded on Alligator Alley with all my stuff, family, pets, and boat. Talk about a feeling of helplessness. I contacted Mathew Currie (Richard Freeman) and he immediately got to work with a solution. Within 20 minutes he had a tow truck loaded up with another "Brand New F-250" truck and they were headed in my direction. We exchanged trucks (I took theirs to the Keys and mine went back on the tow truck) and he kept me in the loop as they evaluated the problem. I returned from my vacation and kept their vehicle a few more days while the Brand New Rear End was put into my truck...! (They could have repaired the current one but wanted everything to be Brand New from the Factory). Richard called me when everything was completed and we made arrangements for the exchange. I have purchased many vehicles in my life but never experienced the "RED CARPET" treatment like I received by Richard and his Management Team. They did not Blink an Eye before sending me the BRAND NEW LARGER TRUCK to make sure my vacation was not soured by the situation that they obviously did not create. I dread the car buying experience, which puts me in a defensive, wary mindset before I even begin. I was seeking a new Ford F150 and went to Matthews-Currie after a dissatisfying visit to a much closer dealership. It also helps that Matthews-Currie has the largest selection of in-stock F150s in our area. I had the good fortune of meeting Greg Rocklein as my "salesman". I am not the easiest customer and going in ready to do battle doesn't help, either. The large selection offered too many choices and I waffled back and forth between several models. I also had to decide which of two vehicles to trade. All in all, I was all over the map in picking out the perfect combination. Greg was VERY professional and helpful throughout the process, creating more of "ownership consultant" environment than a "car salesman" relationship. Some specifics that I appreciated: 1) Cost. Greg worked out the least expensive way to buy. I am eligible for Ford X-Plan pricing, but several of the models had considerable current incentives. Greg worked the numbers both ways to find the lowest cost to me. 2) Greg did NOT leave me stewing while he consulted the sales manager for pricing and trade-in values. This was done in a very timely and professional manner. 3) I did not buy on the first visit, but there was no extreme pressure to do so. I was treated with professional courtesy throughout. 4) Trade-in. I drove Greg bonkers on this and he didn't lose his cool. Although the trade value was not what I had hoped for, Greg was forthright on what they were willing to offer and why, with no number games. 5) Response to questions and what-ifs". Greg was prompt and courteous as we worked through the Rubik's cube of vehicle choices and trade scenarios, offering his opinion when sought, but not steering me toward any particular vehicle. In summary, a new vehicle in a commodity, available from any number of dealers. The dealer and salesperson are the significant variables. Greg truly went the extra mile (or two) in working with me, which is not the easiest thing and I sincerely appreciate. I left with the distinct impression that Greg is cultivating loyal customers as opposed to scoring quick sales. I don't buy vehicles often, but Greg will be my automatic first choice the next time I do. I highly recommend Greg and Matthews-Currie to anyone seeking to purchase a vehicle.

Traded my 2014 Explorer for a 2015 Fusion. The Explorer was awesome but too large for me to handle. I had a Ford 500 previously and loved that car! Martin answered all my questions and addressed all of my concerns. I got a fair trade in value and amazing discounts on the Fusion. All in all the purchase went smoothly. I'm a happy camper because I have a car that is pretty darn close to my Ford 500. Yay!

I have had my 2000 Ford Mustang for over 8 years and even though there are only 107,000 miles on it (averaged out, that's only 7,133 per year!), I was looking to get something a bit bigger with 4 doors that was sporty, comfortable and stylish. In looking at their website, Matthews-Currie had this amazing 2009 Dodge Avenger SXT in Silver Steel Metallic. The "hook" for me was that it only had just under 34,000 miles on it (and the sunroof didn't hurt either!). My husband and I went to look at it, I test drove it and this car fit all the "needs" and (most importantly) "wants" for my next car. We worked with both Tony Richards and Edgar Acevedo over a matter of days to get my Mustang appraised, fill out paperwork and get the payment I needed! As it turns out, I ended up not trading my 'Stang but still getting my beautiful new Avenger! I have to say, the assistance that both Edgar and Tony provided me with this purchase has made me a very, very happy new Matthews-Currie customer! And Alonzo (the Finance Manager) made the paperwork process easy to understand and pressure-free! Having been in car sales many, many years ago, I have dealt with high pressure sales. This experience was exactly what has made me a customer for life - you listened to my situation and made everything fit so well for me (with no stress...YEAH!) Even with that little hiccup at the end, your entire staff (Dave in Service is my personal M.C.F. HERO!) gave us amazing customer service and made us truly feel like part of the family! Be aware of this dealer. I went there to buy 2015 Explorer Sport 4WD and the sales person Chris Holister advise me a cheaper option 2015 Explorer XLT saying that it would be the same car with a just little weaker machine. I trusted his word and late on I realize the XLT is FWD and it has a LOT Weaker machine than the Sport model I drove. after two days a bought the XLT, the general manger Mr. Edward Bielen sent me a Email offering me help if I was not very satisfied with my purchase. I had tried several times to contacted him and he NEVER SHOWED HIS FACE UP, even to give me the opportunity to let him know how unsatisfied I am. They then referred us to Matthews Currie who had the exact vehicle we were looking for and we were not disappointed when we got there. I live about 2 miles from Sarasota Ford, but one of my good friends told me to go see Matthew at Matthews-Currie before I make a decision. Probably the best advice I got because this buying experience was the best I have ever experienced. There was a no hassel stress free buying process and they found me the Exact F-150 I wanted in a few days. I would like to thank Don Nass for his help with my parents recent purchase of a 2014 Ford Edge Limited. I was trying to help them with their car purchase from 1500 miles away and it was not easy. I came in thinking I couldn't afford a vehicle and was very nervous. I am an old lady who hasn't bought a vehicle in over 25 years. My husband who has since past bought all of our cars. I feared being older and being a lady that they would take advantage of that. I met with Matt Smith and he made my car buying experience a breeze. I was very pleased with how knowledgeable he was on the vehicle. He also made sure I had all available discounts which pleased me. I wouldn't buy another car from any other dealer.

If you're smart you will not conduct business with Matthews Currie Ford. I thought I was getting a good deal until I found out the "new tires" I was told were on the vehicle were 3 years old and suffering from dry rot. Be advised, if you buy a vehicle from this stealership you need to make yourself aware of how to read the date on tires. It is on the sidewall of the tire. Do not settle for being told by these people that the tires are "new" ... you will be disappointed. I tried dealing with them directly to resolve the matter and they were all but helpful. Offering me tires for a "special dealership pricing" that were WAY above what the normal person could buy them for themselves. The vehicle itself has been ok, but to be scammed on the tires was disappointing. Their response to this has been even if they knew the tires were old, they would only offer the same "special dealership pricing" for tires in addition to the purchase price. I guess whatever they need to convince themselves that false advertising is ok.John Howard was a great salesperson. I do not believe he knew the vehicle had old hazardous tires on it. I would do business again with John, but never again with Matthews Currie Ford.Check out BBB and you can see they've had another incidence of selling OLD tires passed off as new.

From the moment I made the first call to enquire about a vehicle online the experience was great. Our salesman was Randy G. He found the vehicle in question on the lot and returned my call very quickly. Upon arrival, I was shown the vehicle, had an "no pressure" test drive, and was even allowed to take the vehicle overnight to make sure we had every opportunity to drive in our local area. Upon our decision to purchase, we arrived back at the dealership to find most of the paperwork already completed, with fair pricing and trade allowance. The Finance manager was pleasant and again there was no pressure to add services. We are very happy with our experience, and would not hesitate to recommend Matthews Currie Ford and Randy in particular.

I had the worst experience ever at this place. I'm Sure It Was Just Because Of The one joke of a salesperson I dealt with. His name was Martin and stated he was the head manager and according to the website he is just a salesguy. Lol. From the begining I wish I had someone else to deal with. He told me over 4 times not to waste his time and told me my payment would go up over $200 without even knowing what type of vehicle I was trading in and knowing what my current payment was. He even went as far as bad talking the f150 lariat I was looking at to buy just to get me to leave. Very rude and very very unprofessional. Too much stuff to list about how bad of an experience I had but one that really sticks out is, at the end of the test drive he made me, my wife and 3yr old son walk over a half of mile while carrying a car seat to get back to my truck while he drives away in a golf cart, and then wait 20mins for him to find my keys while we wait outside after he told us not to waste his time, to leave. Guy was a JOKE, hope he reads this!!

When we first arrived I was a little worried...it took some time to get connected with a sales person, turns out they were just that busy. Once we connected with Reggie it took no more than 60 minutes from selection, to test drive to driving away with the new car. They are priced right, know their vehicles and start with the Car Fax report. nothing to hide. My daughter's new Mustang has a great new home and she is very happy. Thank you Matthews Currie!

We visited Matthews-Currie Ford because the location was better for us than any other Ford Dealership. We had never stopped into this location but we already knew what we wanted. We were met by Ken McMahon who's informational, non-pushy approach was sincerely welcomed. He was extremely helpful and patient as we searched for the perfect car that was not on their lot. From test drives to the search process, he was patient as we just were not willing to settle. We got a great car at a great price and will recommend Ken and Matthews-Currie to all our friends and family. We gave the entire experience a Five Star rating!

I was looking for a pickup. Didn't need a full size but they were nice. Salesman Joe took the time and pointed out several rangers as well as the full size (they were nice but not what I needed). Joe understood and I tried the ranger super cab. It is for commuting and it is not a gas hog. I was suprized that I actually fit in the truck being very tall. We got a good deal on the price and and warranty. Joe was very helpful during our search. Thank you very much Joe!

Recently I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge from Matthews Currie Ford in Nokomis. Three separate incidents confirm that this organization is deceiving and has no concern with customer satisfaction.First when I sat down with the salesman, Marty, he confirmed the price and stated " plus taxes and other fees". When we (I went there with my finance) sat down with the financial guy, he spent 10 minutes pushing the extended warranty and then proceeded to push and pull paperwork in front of me like a Las Vegas card dealer. It wasn't until I got home to carefully review the paperwork to discover they charged a $699 Predelivery Service Fee. When I spoke with Marty regarding this charge, he claimed I was told about this fee. I would have spent some time discussing a $699 fee. An outright lie and my finance confirms this fee was never mentioned to us.Second, when we were leaving, Marty told us he was going to look for the second key and let us know. He later advised me that there was no second key. I told him it is imperative the owner has a second key. I asked if the company would reimburse me purchasing a second key and he said they would not.Third, when the customer service called the following day, she spoke with my finance. During the conversation, the rep mentioned that my finance should be entitled to a "finder's fee" as she was the one who told me about the vehicle and I purchased it. When I mentioned this Marty, he said I should have told him about this before signing the paperwork. How could I mention something I didn't know anything about ? If fact if the rep never mentioned it, it would not be an issue.Needless to say I will never do business with Matthews Currie Ford again. I have purchased 8 vehicles in the past 13 years and return my business to the fine dealerships in Venice.

Matthew Smith went above and beyond!, the best car buying experience I've ever had! Matthew quickly emailed 4 times immediately after my first question. He then found me a second vehicle after I changed my mind. He also immediately found an add-on trailer hitch that was installed same day. Besides the contruction going on at the dealership and it being a little hectic going from one building to the other. This place was very friendly and family friendly as well. I took my 2001 PT Cruiser in for service and come to find the cost to repair was greater than the vehicle was worth. MaryAnn in the service dept was so helpful and understanding and I recommend you speak to her whenever you need your vehicle serviced. She had referred me to Randy G in the sales dept. He was awesome from the start to finish. No pressure at all. Randy and the Finance guy was able to get me a rate that I could afford and I was driving my 2011 Ford Fiesta that same day. I have never had such a great car buying experience. I highly recommend this dealership to others but most of all I recommend Randy Getchey.

Randy was our sales person.We had bought a used mercury about 3 years ago from here and he was so good to us then,that when we saw something on line at the dealer we went back to him. The process was very fast. I loved that even the finance application was done on the computer instead filling out all my info on paper and then waiting for them to input everything. When we got home with our 2010 Ford Taurus ,we noticed that there was a nail in the tire.They have major construction going on at the dealer,so we figured it had come from there. We went back the next day they replaced the tire and buffed out some spots in the front of the car where the previous owner had put something. Second time at this dealer,would highly recommend them. There were no hidden fees ,they were up front about everything. The finance guy(can't remember his name) was the same as the previous time also,he zipped us right in and out! The only thing we had to wait for was the other people who were ahead of us to get done with the finance guy!

Second car we have bought from Randy at Mathews Curry. This time we went to look at a 2010 Taurus. Randy was great,even got the tire fixed when we found a nail in it after we got home that night. They actually replaced the tire for us along with buffing some areas on the hood out from where the previous owner had put something. Would highly recommend this dealer and especially Randy! Also the finance guy was right on his estimates and got us into a loan for exactly what we could afford.

From my initial contactthrough my ultimate truck purchase and subsequent courtesy follow-ups, everything was done first class! Matthew Smith and Brad Bielen bent over backwards to accommodate my every wish! They are like the Chick-fil-A of car dealerships. Everything was done in a smooth, efficient, and timely manner, in a friendly atmosphere, and it was their true pleasure to make my all dreams a reality! I, like most folks I imagine, was somewhat nervous and anxious about having to interact with car dealers. The thought of walking around a dealership with hyenas (salesmen) waiting to pounce at the first sign of weakness was enough to keep me in my old truck for far too long. Couple that image with several past bad experiences at other dealerships (whom I shall not mention here because I do not wish to give them the satisfaction) and I was hesitant to say the least. He made the process so easy. It was almost too easy. I simply cannot say enough about Brad Bielen and Matthew Smith. They were incredible. Needless to say, I will make every single vehicle purchase for the rest of life at Matthews-Currie Ford. I was treated like family from start to finish. I was helped by Chad and Mark. Both were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I bought a used car that had a minor issue on one of the rims. Chad imediately gave me an IOU that they took care of as soon as possible. I was even offered a loaner car while the repair was made. They took the time to go over all features including syncing my phone. Finance was also an easy no pressure experiance. Everything about my loan and warranty was explained in detail. Very comfortable atmosphere. I would recomend Matthews Currie to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

It was the worst experience ever. I felt like I was pushed and pressured into a decision. They said they would fix the seals and get the screws and bolts to hold the pieces in the trunk, still haven't heard back from them. I only received 1 key, no mats, found out the spring was broken in my seat, so I called and they were very rude and after stating I was tired of being jerked around, the floor supervisor got even more rude, asked if I wanted to make the appointment or not when I said yes he hung up on me. Didn't transfer just hung up. I have told everyone that's getting a car not to go there. They said if I gave a good review I could get the first oil change free, well obviously it's not worth a free oil change. A reputable company would have tried to help instead I felt like I was just a quota... Never will I go back to them for anything. They have lost my business and any future business from me or my family.

I wanted to take a minute and thank Ken McMahon for a great car buying experience at Matthew-Currie Ford. I initially test drove a couple cars in March and Ken was extremely helpful. I came back with my wife about a month or so later and asked for Ken. He impressed both my wife and I with his honesty and overall knowledge on the cars we were looking at. Went to Matthew-Currie Ford looking for a good deal on a F150. And I found one. Found a salesman that listened to what I wanted, what I could afford, then actually made me a great deal on a new 2014 F-150. It even came with the bells & whistles I wanted. Now if I can only figure out how to work everything! Ken , my salesman even offered to help with that! Would highly recommend This dealership and Ken McMahon if you are looking for a Ford, in fact I already have recommended him to a couple people.

I have purchased over 15 used vehicles in my time and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. I was working with Ken McMahon and he is honest, reliable, knowlegible and most importantly professional. I saw the car on-line and emailed about it. Ken responded promptly and answered my immediate questions. I had to wait a week to drive the car due to my work schedule and Ken responded to my inquiries each time in a prompt manner. I test drove the car and advised Ken I was not sure about buying it. He provided honest advice without any pressure. Ken continued to follow-up with me to see if there was anything he could help me with. I just had to make a decision which came 2 weeks later and advised ken I would come in the next day and look at the car again. He schedule my appointment for first thing in the morning and he personally showed me the car and the details of it. I have been in customer service work for over 40 years and it is a rarity when you find a person with the integrity and professionalism of Ken McMahon. I will absolutely refer him to everyone I can. I flew into Tampa from Chicago, rented a car, and drove to the family condo in Osprey. My purpose was to spend the 5 day holiday weekend to buy a car in Florida, not the rust bucket state of Illinois. My first stop was Mathews-Currie, and I only intended to look today, not buy. But I saw 3 cars I would buy, and 1 looked new. A genuinely friendly salesman came by and offered to help. He showed me the car I wanted, but it was above my budget, more so when you consider taxes, tags, etc. He got me water and said, "test drive it, maybe good things can happen." Well, I did and he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I drove to the condo, got my checkbook, bought the car. But now I had my "new" car and a rental! John said, "Get into your rental and follow me to the airport." He took me from the airport back to the dealership, and no kidding, helped a stranded motorist on the way. Who does this stuff?! The kind of guy you'll buy another car from, that's who. Thanks John.

I contact Mr. Ken McMahon after viewing many vehicles though out different websites; I also contact several other dealers on the same type, make, and model of vehicle and Mr. McMahon was by far the most professional of all the dealers I contacted. Unfortunately the vehicle that I was interested sold the morning that I was traveling over 350 miles from home to the dealer. But Mr. McMahon without pressure show what other vehicles were available and similar to my first choice. After finding a similar vehicle that I like and that would work well for me, the Matthews Currie Ford sale team started working on a deal that I though was fair for the dealer and myself, I came out with a very nice vehicle and a price that I was happy. I was very pleased that Matthews Currie Ford Co. backs up in writing their entire vehicle sales regardless of being a new or used vehicle. I like to thank Mr. McMahon on his professional, friendly and helpful behavior that made my visit to the dealership a very pleasant one.

We went online and requested information on a used car they had for sale. We talked to Ken McMahon, and he was very professiona. I like that the dealership was straightforward and did not give us any runaround on the price. We were only dealing with them over the phone, b/c we live out of town. We thought the price was very fair and the vehicle was exactly how it was described/pictured. Once we got to the dealership, everything was very fast and smooth, just like we wanted. Everything was the same as we discussed over the phone and we were able to get in out very quickly. Ken was very professional and followed up with us after the purchase many times to make sure things were going great. He called us and checked up to make sure we were completely satsified.

We weren't really looking to get a new truck, but received a phone call to come in and see what was there. Made an appointment to go in and look - our current vehicle (F-150, which was also purchased at Matthews Currie) was 3.5 years old, so we thought we'd check out the 2014's. Had one already picked out with most of what we were looking for (if we decided to do it). Our previous salesman Michael McGurk is there in a different capacity, so we worked with Martin Sintov and thanks to his efforts we ended up driving it home. I would highly recommend Matthews Currie and Martin to anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle. The service department has also been a pleasure to deal with.

Impressive! Mathews Currie has a great internet sales department that allowed me to find the truck I wanted; even though they didn't have it in their inventory. After working with Mathew Smith to discuss my requirements, he found the truck and got it to the dealership for a demo. I was able to make one trip to the dealership, inspect the vehicle and make my purchase. I found Mathew Smith to be very easy to communicate with and they lived up to everything they discussed. I felt a great sense of integrity on their behalf. The price was great, and the guys really respect your time in all phases of getting you what you're looking for. I actually drove quite a distance to this dealer since they had the exact used car I was looking for. They seemed to have a great number of Ford used vehicles available. They were very friendly and helpful during my visit. Randy even called me after to let me know I had left some items behind. I think they provided a fair price to me (although I would have liked a better trade-in deal.) I do have to take my auto in for a few scratches they promised to fix so I will try to update my review post visit.

Our experience with Matthew Currie started out fine - researched online, found 2 vans we were interested in, and traveled almost two hours to check them out. Everyone was very kind and the experience was as pleasurable as car buying can be. However, once the papers were signed, our salesman couldn't find the 2nd key fob for our van. We waited several minutes while he looked, and he finally told us they'd mail it. That was almost a month ago. We've called, emailed, and sent text messages *Several* times and received one response only, that it hadn't yet turned up. As expensive as the key fobs are, I'd expect they'd create a new one if the old one can't be found. Additionally, our check engine light came on less than a week after we purchased the van. I called and left messages about getting it looked at. Again, no response. I consider it very poor customer service to completely ignore communication attempts once the sale has been finalized; for that reason would not recommend Matthew Currie Ford to anyone.

I have bad credit filled chapter 7 about 2 years ago anyway they helped me with no questions asked and did what had to be done for me to drive off with my new car the sales people are the best along with the finance people they treat you like family they really do. I was moving to Atlanta for work and needed a vehicle quickly. Matthew Smith was my salesman and I told him the payment I needed to stay under and that I needed a sedan with good gas mileage. He picked out 7 different cars in my price range and after I did research on every car I eventually picked a car. Although the dealership was an hour from where I lived, it was worth the drive. The car was cleaner than the pictures has shown and he even through in tinted windows in the deal. I drove the vehicle and was in and out in under an hour, best car buying experience ever!.

We were made aware of MC-Ford thru Truecar .com. Three firms responded and MC-Ford had the best price. Sasha contacted us and found that you did not have a car on the lot that met our criteria. She took a list of our "wants" and turned it over to Ken McMahon to try to locate a car. Within a few hours Ken contacted us with details of a car available from another dealership, with acceptable "add-ons" and at a price we found acceptable. We met Ken on March 28 and the deal was completed. We picked up the car on April 1 and Ken had transferred our "stuff" to the new vehicle and had personally wiped down the car so that it was spotless. We visited michaels-Currie Ford and asked for Michael Smith because he sold a used car to our brother and sister in law. They were very impressed with him and the dealership. We bought a new 2013 Ford Fusion and we were also very happy with the salesman. Everyone in the dealership was friendly and Mike took all the time we needed to explain all the new things on our car. We have stopped back since then and again were treated with courtesy and again , even tho we were not buying, mike took time to answer our questions cheerfully.We have since made our first appointment with the service department and are waiting to see if this courtesy is extended to that part of thedealership.

I have to say that when I visited the dealership I had my three boys with me. I was nervous because for one I have never bought a car on my own and well I had my three boys. Randy was amazing, treated me and my boys like royality. I was looking at a Honda and he was honest with me about the car. He worked with the finance department and gave me a list of cars that would work for in my budget. I ended up with a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL.....which I love. In short when you go to Matthew-Currie ford you will feel like Family. I am proud to say that I am now part of the Ford Family!!!!!!!

They allowed me to drive it, and everything was okay. Every thing was done on Tuesday, except there were some minor scratches the sales manager found. Everything was fixed, and on Friday morning, I drove back up to pick up the car. I was extremely skeptical about how things would go, waiting to see when they were going to gouge me, as other dealership sometimes do. It never happened. Both Don and Chad, did everything they could do to meet each and all of my needs. When I read the reviews before going up there, I thought they must have had their own people write them, but they truly are a "No Hassle" dealership and will now be my lifetime dealer when needed in the future, even though it's about 65 miles away. Well, well worth the trip. Thanks for everything guys. I really appreciated working with you both.

Found a 2013 used car on Cars.com (third time in last 6/7 years), called Matthews-Currie Ford (the car was still available), made apt and went there the next morning with my trade in and checkbook. After driving and liking the car we negotiated a trade and price. I drove away with my car in two hours time (they even agreed to hold the check a few days). Quick, easy and excellent service.

a couple weeks ago i purchased a 2014 taurus limited with 3000 miles on it-----only got one key or medallion for it----was told that sometimes a second one will show up----thinking that wont happen any more at this point they say they will sell me one at cost---seems to me that a second key would be a given-----love the car ----and this after i made a special trip back to englewood to get a second key that i had for the car i traded in

Worst experience with a dealership I have ever had in my life!!!! Went in to look at a used Dodge Charger, test drove it and really liked it. Did the customary credit app that every dealer asks you to do. It was later in the evening and they were almost to closing time and I sat around for about a half hour. The salesman never brought me any pricing on the used vehicle. No offer on my trade in was ever given to me. There was no offer on total price of the transaction for me agree of disagree to. The salesman finally came to me and said that it would take some time to get things together and could he call me tomorrow as they were about to close. I said sure no problem just call me when you get a chance. I did not receive a call the next day from my salesman so I stopped by the dealership on my way home to see what was going on. I was advised by my salesman that they were unable to get me financed. Of course I was shocked as I had not agreed to any amount to try to get me financed or what monthly payments I wanted to pay. Upon leaving I asked the salesman why the dealership says "guaranteed financing for everyone" if they really don't mean it? He didn't say anything to me and after I walked away he said, "we got you financed but they wanted $6000.00 down payment". I said really and how much is your used vehicle and how much for my trade in were they giving me? He finally told me the numbers and between the price of the vehicle and my trade in value the price was around $18,500.00. Now I am not an idiot and my credit isn't that bad that I would have to put $6K down on an $18k loan. What prompted this testimony today was the 7th rejection letter for credit I just received from a lender with Matthew Currie Ford on it. How in the hell do you send out at least 7 different offers on a deal you have not even gone over with the customer? Upon calling the last creditor I found out the loan was for $24k on a vehicle priced on their internet for only $17k. I am only upside down $3500.00 on my trade in so where did the extra $2500.00 come from? Absolutely the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Deceptive advertising, lying salespeople and the worst business practice I have ever seen. We just bought an Explorer from this dealer. The salesman, Matt was professional, courteous, and well informed. He worked with us to get the vehicle we wanted. The best news was the bottom line price. Of 3 Ford dealers we visited, Matthews-Currie beat one by $3,000 and the other by $1,500 for the identically equipped vehicle. Nice showroom, nice lot. Have not used the service department yet. If you looking for a Ford, you need to check this place out. Ron

This is the second car I've purchased from Matthews Currie Ford. I have been very satisfied with the process each time. Good service, competitive pricing, excellent vehicle. My only complaint is that I only received one key. I was told that they only got one key with the car. Other than that I was very satisfied.

Things started off great the salesman help me find the perfect vehicle for me although the sales process was long after the end of three days of waiting I find the vehicle was sold to another customer while I was still working on the loan they have made no attempt to apologize our contact me after the fact very very poor customer relations there and poor management

Remember that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts goes back to the hoity-toity store that treated her terribly and says, You work on commission, right? Big mistake. BIG. Thats my feeling about Matthews-Currie Ford. Let me explainMy husband and I arrived at their dealership on 12/26/13 full of new car excitement and anticipation. We walked to the row of Ford Explorers and Edges, and proceeded to open doors and hatches, and climb in and out of many of them. Odd how after 25 minutes of doing this, not a single person came out to greet us. But a few people drove by in golf carts without saying a word. Should have been our first sign.We found the perfect car and wanted to test drive it. But this perfect car had a dead battery. Should have been our second sign.We were forced to go into the office to seek help. We walked in, and sales people to our right and left (who were not with customers, mind you) just glanced at us and turned back to each other to carry on their conversations. We stood in shock for a moment before the receptionist asked who we were looking for. My husband said Someone who wants to sell a car today. She then told us they were short on staff because a bunch of people didnt show up today. She asks a passerby salesman if hes busy. He looks annoyed and says, No. Introducing Tony! Should have been our third sign.He asks us which car we want to see. We tell him its the 2013 Ford Edge Limited with the dead battery. He asks us to look at pictures on their website and tell him which one it is. We cant tell. He begrudgingly walks us outside to find it. He then proceeds to try to jump the battery with three different portable jumpers, getting more annoyed each time. After another 25 minutes of this, he gets it started, hands us the keys and says to go ahead, hell see us in a few minutes. We drove it right off the lot, without giving him a last name, a phone number, a drivers license, anything. Weird. Should have been our fourth sign.We loved the car; it was exactly what we were looking for. It was a new 2013 model, and considering we were in the last week of 2013, it seemed like the right time to get a great deal. The online price was $32,194. I would venture to guess that 99.9% of people think that the advertised price for a car is always inflated a bit so the customer and sales person can do the dance. The customer offers less, the sales person counters, and they both come to an agreement where the customer feels good about their purchase and the dealership makes some money. Thats how it works. Tony asked what we wanted to pay for the car. My husband gave a pretty low offer as a starting point (the start of the dance). Tony said there was no way, but he would ask his manager. He walked away, came back, and said, Nope. The advertised price is the lowest we will go. Nice to meet you. Handshake. Shuffle us out the door. We were SHOCKED. He did not offer alternatives. He did not take our names. He did not take our phone number. He could not wait to get rid of us.If I am going to make a $25,000-$35,000 purchase, I expect customer service. I expect to be treated with respect. I expect kindness, even if you dont feel like being there. I expect to be offered every option to meet my budget and expectations. If I am unrealistic, I expect you to kindly offer alternatives that may be better suited for my needs. My sister-in-law purchased her vehicle from this dealership and could not believe how we were treated by Tony. She put a call in to Randy, the salesman who assisted her, who she was quite pleased with. He apologized profusely, promising to work with us and be honest about prices and options. He said he had a sales meeting the following morning at 8AM and would be available after 8:30AM. My husband called at 9AM. Randy wasnt in. So, he left a message. We didnt hear from Randy until after 10AM. They spoke on the phone a bit, my husband offered $30,000 out-the-door after our trade-in. Randy said he was doubtful, but would speak to the sales manager and get right back to us. He also said they were already giving up their 2.5% dealer holdback. To which my husband said, Isnt the Ford holdback 3%? Randy said, Hmmm, I dont know, oh yeah, I guess it is 3.1% Shady. Well, we didnt get a call back for over FOUR HOURS. And guess who Randy had call us back? TONY. Awesome. And he had the nerve to ask us if we gave some thought to the price. My husband asked, Our price or yours? Tony said their original price of $32,194. Our answer was NO. And Tony basically said, Have a nice day. Bye. And hung up. Considering we were only $2,000 apart, the way this dealership treated us is just appalling.Here comes the Pretty Woman part That same afternoon, we went to Gator Ford in Seffner, FL. We were greeted outside by the sweetest person, Lily, before we could even get in the door. We found the exact same car at the exact same MSRP (with even prettier exterior/interior colors). And guess what! Lily and General Manager, Michael, gave us the car for the $30,000 we asked for in less than 5 minutes of negotiating. Every person we came into contact with was kind and personable. They thanked us for our business. Asked us never hesitate to call with questions and to come back anytime. We will be customers for LIFE. And we will rave to everyone we know.Big mistake, Matthews-Currie. BIG.

While looking for my next vehicle, I went to Matthews-Currie Ford.There I worked with Don Nass.This is the dealership to purchase from if you want friendly, non-pressure sales, as well as a great price.I was thoroughly impressed, Don was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in and, he was able to get the vehicle I wanted at a great price. This dealership is not your typical place. I have purchased vehicles in the past from other dealerships in the area & its always the same run around game just to buy a vehicle. Matthews Currie-Ford goes above and beyond the rest in such that there is no pressure and they are very up front about everything, that way you can put your mind at ease knowing that you are getting honesty and the best possible pricing out there.I would definitely recommend my friends and family to work with and buy from Matthews-Currie Ford.As a matter of fact, my son also purchased a truck here shortly after I did.We are both very satisfied with our trucks and will be back again in the future.

I found the vehicle (Ford Focus) my wife was looking for at Matthews-Currie online and sent my contact info in late at night. By the following mid-morning I had heard from their Sales Manger, Chad Westrick, who set up an appointment for us that afternoon, and had the vehicle ready for a test drive upon our arrival at the dealership. We spent an hour test driving the car (alone) and did decide it was what she was looking for. Salesmen Gregg Andrews was waiting for us on our return and treated us in a friendly, relaxed and professional manner. The whole process, including negotiating, paperwork, vehicle cleanup, tank of gas, etc., took only 2 hours, 3 hours total including the test drive. I looked from Orlando to Ft Myers for a loaded Focus and M-C had the best price on not just the one we purchased, but on 2 other similar cars. It was well worth it for us to make the trip to Nokomis and we recommend this dealership without hesitation.

I knew exactly what I wanted and came in hoping to find it. They had the Ford Edge I wanted with a few color options. I picked a color that I wanted and they made this probably the easiest experience I ever had. Was in and out in under an hour and I knew I got the best deal I could have on this car. Very good customer service and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. I would say that the facilities were not that great but overall a very good experience

I went in to start planning to replace my SUV for a more economical car. Thinking I would need a lot up front and a higher payment for a newer car. Rich helped me weigh out the different models and years in my preferred price range. And danny was able to get me a lower interest rate than my personal bank. I didn't have to wait, or settle for less of a car. Thanks guys.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! through no fault of my own my '07 F150's engine seized up at 100,000 miles. I felt it was defective and expected some help but they basically said tough sh** and Matthews Currie was not willing to budge off of the $8500 quote to replace it. I then took it to Englewood Ford only to learn they are OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE but they quoted me $6300, however, they initially wanted $2000 up front, then decided to change it to $5000 which is 80%! I am a contractor and I can imagine the reaction I would get if I asked for 80% of a job in advance. So I approached Steve the "service manager" with an alternative, more reasonable payment arrangement he said he would run it by Ed Bielen who I believe is the VP of both dealerships. After a week or so passed Steve calls me and wants to know what I have decided to do with my truck. he seemed to have completely forgotten about our previous conversation and clearly had not talked to Ed Bielen about it. Since Steve apparently dropped the ball I emailed Ed Bielen directly and ran the alternate, more reasonable plan by him noting that Steve must have forgotten to approach him about this because I never heard back from him on it. I guess I must have rattled someone's cage because about an hour later I get a call from Steve in a very pissy tone informing me that they were NOT going to work on my truck AT ALL and demanded I get it off his lot within 24 hours. Given the fact my engine died at roughly half its life span you would think they would have bent over backwards to make this right. Instead they were totally uncooperative, confrontational, and petty, and chased a loyal customer away. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM and if you are already stuck with them, make notes, get things in writing, double check everything...they are very mean spirited, unwilling to do the right thing and really seem to have their heads up their butts

This is a letter I sent to them and they never bothered to reply To Matthews Currie Ford Managment. Dear Sir/Madame I cannot express my frustration and disappointment in the service I received from your establishment enough. (Date of service 08/15/13) I brought my 2000 Ford F-150 SVT Lighting for an oil change, tune-up, squeaking belt, check engine light was on, and the hard cover was stuck shut (Hard Tonneau cover). Ultimately I ended up paying $351.56 for an oil change. First off my truck was kept over night because I was told a part needed to be ordered which ended up not even being the part that it needed. When I said something about it I was told that they would need to take that part out and put my old part back in so as not to be charged for it when I complained they did compromise and leave the part in so that it would not be an inconvenience or cost to me and I thank you for that. When I received my truck back after Repairs the belt was still squeaking (On the receipt it says wrong size belt, Thats because you put the wrong size belt on last time I was there), The hard cover would not open, the check engine light was off but then turned back on in a couple of days (when I said something about the engine light I was told Oh sometimes that happens) I was charged $89.99 dollars for the engine light to be diagnosed, so you can understand that Im very disappointed to have the light come back on a couple days later and not even be offered for it to be remedied. Granted I was not charged for the hard top to be fixed because, well, it wasnt fixed. Then just to top it all off there were some personal items in the cab of my truck that were taken out and when asked about it was told they could not find them. Every complaint that I had was fought with resistance instead of offering to make things right. I would say your customer service is lacking to say the least. Please put yourself in my shoes and imagine this had happened to you or a family member, You would probably want your money back wouldnt you think? I had originally planned on Matthews Currie Ford to be my sole provider of all of my maintenance on my truck but with all of the above problems Im sure you could understand that I am contemplating using someone else.

I have been in for service 4 times since January for transmission work. The first time I left my engine immediately overheated and I was out of coolant. The second time I went in they supposedly fixed the problem. Then I went in a third time to have the SAME problem fixed again, and all together costing me 3,000 dollars. So it happened again and my engine overheated, and when I went in and waited I realized the owner of the shop coming over just to tell me I was trespassing, and he was calling the cops, when all I wanted was an explanation for my problem. They obviously couldn't admit they did wrong by me, so they rather would handle it like unprofessional children. Can't wait to get the lawyers and whoever else involved to help solve this horrible way I was treated. Would not recommend trusting them with your vehicle. Especially now that because of their wrong doing my whole engine might have blown.

I brought my truck in for an oil change and a tune up and also to have my truck hard top functional. First off I was told my hard top had been fixed and it was not, After getting an argument from Maryann I had to ask her to come out and look for herself that it had not been fixed. Then she told me Id be best off going to a body shop to have that fixed (Thats why I went to your service shop because they have a body shop on the premises)! .Then I was told that my truck would have to be kept overnight because the part needed to be ordered and the part that was installed wasnt even necessary for the problem that needed to be fixed (of course I was charged for this). Then was told by Maryann that I would have to pay for this or they would take the part out and put my old part back in. then also told by Maryann that I should go to a high performance auto shop for said problem(Which is a belt squeaking).Then your computers were down and me along with all the other irate customers had waited and waited to be able to pay.I was very upset and had asked ' for my trouble could a free ford t-shirt a least be included in the package and was told no( by Maryann) you would think she would have wanted to a least placate me with something as simple as a free t-shirt.This Is ridiculous, I thought my truck was in good hands. Im sorry to say but I think you have lost my future business.Then just to add to my anger my tires where in need of air and that wasnt even taken care or mentioned (according to the Ford Service commercial there is multi point inspection done when you bring your vehicle in).

Gary took the extra time to find us the exact exact F150 we were searching.I was amazed to learn that he located a Lariat which came off the assembly line July 18th.We purchased it August 6.Gary showed us all of the incentives! He made the deal "too good to refuse!"Keith Grening was very helpful with the filing of the financial papers.Over all, the service was excellent ! We arrived, signed all necessary paper work and drove away in a new F150 Lariat !

Purchased 06 chevy impala. A few weeks later, tread fell off tire causing $3, 000.00 worth of body damage. The salesman promised me vehicle had brand new "safe" tires!! Thank God noone was injured. Happened on interstate going 75mph. Dealer REFUSES to fix body damage.

I called about a Dodge Grand Caravan and they had two on the lot marked both, on their website, matthewscurrie.com and on our bank's car location service, as being $17k plus change. By the time we had got there, they had changed the prices on their website to $21k plus change then the sales manager told me that they had two different websites. When I dared to suggest that I had typed in the same URL both times he basically called me a liar and would not do business with us. They lost a sale. We went to Tampa and bought the same van for our offered price including TT&L. I almost forgot to mention that they gave us three time what Matthews currie offered us on our trade-in.

I have a 1984 Chev Silverado needed the ac fixed. Guys did a great job. Ask if it was ok the keep over night just to make sure no leaks. It works great and the price was fair as well.

I was not happy with the financing department who "saved" me 1000 dollars by getting a 7.2% interest loan via ford motor credit. I was told that I had to keep it 3 months and then refinance it where ever I wanted to. I was told it would save me money. It does not. The front ended simple interest loan (as they all are) have charged me 414.42 in interest since my new car loan over 3 months. When I refinance I will have to pay "used" car interest rates and according to my credit union I will not qualify for the new car loan rate which comes to over 800 dollars on the life of my loan. There are other charges too that add to my "savings"!This dealership gives us the 1000 discount and finances the loan themselves. According to Ford Motor Credit hey then sell the loan to Ford motor credit for a large profit.When Ford Motor Credit heard that they advise to refinance the loans after 3 months they were not happy! Ford Motor Credit pays a premium for a 7.2% loan and then it goes away!At 7.2% I would be they get a premium for the group of loans sold and maximize the profit from you.I dont need to get more specific.... I liked the new car sales person I dealt with but if you are to buy a vehicle here arrange your own financing!

Matthew Smith was my salesman - walked me thru everything and was incredibly patient, as I am incredibly uneasy buying a new vehicle. I left with a '12 Ford Escape and my payments stayed the same. Best car buying experience I've ever had.

I gave a great rating for my experience at Matthews Currie. I had the pleasure of working with Ken McMahon who took practically half of his day to make sure I got what I wanted and needed. Ken worked very hard on this what seems like a project for me. I had absolutely no credit and almost no bank wanted to give me alone, but with Men's patients we found one. In the end the dealership lost a little bit of money on the 2012 Chevy Kampala I purchased just so I could leave happy in a safer more reliable car for me and my one and half year old son! I cannot think of a better way to thank him!! Due to all Men's hard work dictated them with top ratings. Thank you team!!

I had a service appt at 10am on 6/15/13. Drove all through sarasota and venice running errands. Came home at 3pm and realized my oil was draining from under my car. The service dept was closed so my husband looked under car and realized drain plug was not even hand tightened. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism of the mechanics ability to perform a simple oil change. My paperwork states job was performed by Marc H. luckily i have husband who has mechanic skills and knew what to look for. Because having it done on saturday and the service dept not opening again until monday - waiting was not an option for me.

Best car buying experience EVER! I drove down from Jacksonville after I finding a great deal online! I had been in communication with Ken for a few days leading up to my purchase. Ken was going to be off on the Sunday that I would be driving down, so he instructed me to ask for Chad Westrick. When I got there, Chad was there to greet me. The car was also already pulled up front. I was literally in and out of that dealership in 2.5 hours. The last person I spoke to was Pat Downey. What a nice man. We discussed financing and I was out the door. Everyone was so nice and professional. Thanks Chad, Ken, & Pat! I love my MKT!!!

I already had financing when I arrived - waited 10 minutes for the sales rep. Took the car for a test drive and everything was good. So our sales rep asked if he could run our credit to see if he could get a better rate, so I said "let's give it a try." It came back with a larger down payment and higher interest rate. So then he didn't want to use the financing company I had, he just wanted to use his in house credit. So I wasted 4 hours driving and negotiating, and never offered a beverage. So I ended up leaving and went to Carmax. Bought the same car 2 years newer, had 5K more miles, but was out in 90 minutes. Don't waste your time or money... The staff was more concerned with what was for lunch - they decided on Chinese...

My husband and our two girls went to Matthews Currie Ford to look for a vehicle to purchase. We were greeted by a very friendly, knowledgable salesman. They were also having a customer appreciation cookout with delicious cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and ice cold water. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our salesman, Chad Westrick, was very helpful with suggestions for our family. He didn't pressure us and was around just enough to answer our questions, yet gave us the space to browse the selections. We made our decision the same day. Mr. Keith Grening was the Business Manager who was also friendly and made the signing of paperwork so smooth with his experience and knowledge. Danny was the Finance Manager, he went out of his way to compare and find us the best rate and price that he could work for us. When shopping for a new vehicle, our decision was between the Toyota Tundra and the Ford F150. The actual decision was due the expertise of your salesman, Ken McMahon. Ken took the time to inquire what I was looking for in a truck, instead of trying to sell me something I did not need or want. I explained we were looking to pull a 26 travel trailer. After asking a few more detailed questions and zeroing in on my needs, Ken then directed me to the F150 Super Crew XLT. Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the towing abilities of the truck. Kens total product knowledge of the vehicle was amazing. After speaking with him and driving the truck I went back to the Toyota dealership and their salesman did not know his product as well as Ken. Their sales attitude is high pressure with little product knowledge and he did not listen to what I was wanting in a vehicle, just what they were trying to sell. Our decision was very simple: to go with product knowledge and great sales ability and in the end a vehicle we are extremely pleased with.We feel Ken McMahon is a definite asset to the Matthew Currie team. He gave us a refund after we wrote a less than flatering review of their service of our auto. it takes a big person to admit to a mistake. They did and I applaud their attempt to make it right. It is just good business to correct problems or to provide good service the first time. Let me start by saying I would rather have a root canal than go through the process of buying a car from a dealership. I hate dealing with all of the games and the runaround that most dealerships seem to employ but I needed to replace my current minivan with a newer one. I had used many different internet sites, stopped by local dealers and used our local newspaper to assist me in my search. I contacted this dealer because of a listing they had on Cars.com. I was contacted by Matthew Smith who was a joy to deal with. He was upfront, honest and did not try to pressure me into a sale. The first van I contacted him about was not to my liking but Matthew kept me updated with new inventory that I might be interested in without being pushy or intrusive. Yesterday after 3 months of dealing with Matthew my wife and I finally found and bought a van from him and it was almost painless. I am someone who always trys to do business locally and I attempted to do business with a couple of my local dealers here in Charlotte County but they all seemed to want to employ the tactics that usually make buying a car such a misserable experience. So in the future I will just contact Matthew Smith at Matthew's Currie Ford whenever I am in need of a vehicle.

When I got my car back they had left numerous tools in the car and something knocked in the door so obviously someone had not checked before putting the door panel back together. I returned the car to have the door panel opened and the object causing the noise removed. During this procedure they broke the power window casing. I returned several times to give them the opportunity to fix this problem and what did they do? Instead of ordering a new part they stole a part from the other door. Now I have two broken door controls. What kind of service department does this? Just a month before I took the care in to Matthews Currie for something leaking under my engine and their solution was a new water pump. The next day I still had the same leak. I took the car to another auto repair shop and they found the real problem. Of course I was now out hundreds of dollars for a repair that was not needed or causing the problem (a leak). Doing this kind of below standard repair work will only cause customers to go elsewhere and they will certainly tell others about their experience. In my case I send out news to thousands of people living in this area and believe me this story will get serious time on my blog and in my newsletters. The public needs to know that this dealership is willing to do substandard work and then let it go out the door. I am beyond disgusted and out hundreds of dollars and saddened that we have a business in our neighborhood that is willing to shortchange its customers. Very short sighted and very bad for any business! I now have two broken door controls!

I made an appointment for an oil change. I arrived 5 minute earily. I was told it would take an hour to complete the oil change service. After one hour and fifteen minutes, I asked how the progress on my oil change was coming along. I was informed that they had not started servicing my car. They did not inform me that there would be any delays. They did not offer to drive me home or give me a car for the day until they got to my car serviced. This was my first visit to this dealer and most likely my last. They offered me a free oil change if I would come back another day. Come back? I think they were joking. I feel this was very little compensation for the poorest service I have ever had at any service company.

I inquired about a ford fusion hybrid (2013) on line. A lady called me and we set up an appointment to test drive a 2013 fusion hybrid. It was set for 1pm december 29. Upon arriving at the dealership I asked for Mark (I was not given his last name) The receptionist said she will find him. About 5 minutes later he comes out carryiing a plate of food and said he is busy with 2 other customers and will find someone else to help me.. Another 10 minutes and he comes back and says what am I interested in. I told him I had an appointment to test drive a 2013 fusion hybrid (which on line shows you had at least one in stock) He said we don't have any. I was disappointed and he turned around and left me standing there. end of story. The more I thought about the madder I became. Very sorry salesmanship!! Took my Fusion there to have the interior detailed. Mary Ann(?) in service was very nice. As we walked around the vehicle she asked if I was doing the interior only? My car was the target of the Florida Air Force (birds) the day before. Since I was planning on driving to the car wash after the interior was done at Matthews Currie I said yes just the interior. When I picked up my car it was like new! They even washed the exterior and cleaned the wheels. Been to other area Ford dealers with less than average service. Will be returning there for my service work. Kudos!

The 2013 Escape is the fifth Ford I have purchased and the first from Matthews Currie, All the folks ,especially Kenny Rogers went out of their way to locate the exact model with the packages that I wanted. There was now high pressure from day 1. They located what I wanted,secured the vehicle,,offered for me to take it over the weekend to make sure it was exactly the car for my wife who will be the principle driver.Took delivery 2 days ago and am very happy with the purchase. Accomodating in all aspects is our experience with Matthews Currie.

She is trustworthy, effecient and treats the public with respect.Brandon, Shop Foreman, cannot be beat in any way. I always request Brandon as his work is neat, clean and precise. He listens to the customer and has patience with even the most minute detail.Body shop is the best in the state of Florida. Al Bryant and his group go out of their way to please the customer and the vehicle looks like it came out of the factory. I have been coming to M/C Ford for 11 years now. Marianne has been my Service Angel the entire time. Under Marianne's expert guidance, we were able to keep my 1994 Ford Taurus Station Wagon roadworthy for 120,000 miles and 12 years !!!!. Marianne continues to be professional,warm and thorough in her explanations, after all, I am a woman, and there is just alot that I don't seem to understand about cars. Marianne reals care that I understand and when I leave the dealership, I know that I will be safe in my vehicle. When, I call for an appointment, Marianne always sees that I am accommodated in a timely fashion. I really feel like I am an important member of the Matthew Currie Ford family, all because of Marianne. Having a personal relationship with the Dealership is important to me. When it came time to say good-bye to my beloved Ford Taurus, Marianne made sure that the Sales Staff was there is provide me with the same personalized attention. I was able to purchase my Red Freestyle, with the coveted Taurus Drive train on the day after Christmas and got a great deal. Their website showed a car I liked. Randy and I emailed each other and I was led to believe that the price on the website was negotiable. I drove 90 minutes round trip. He would not take a penny off of the price shown on the website.He then added a $600 dealer fee. This bogus fee is for administrative costsI was deceived into believing that if I went there, we could negotiate the price. When I got there, I found out that the price was not negotiable.This was a very bad experience for me.This is what gives car salesmen a bad name.NEVER buy a car from them.Stay away from these people.I am telling EVERYBODY I meet about this car dealership.

The 19" wheels were peeling on my 2011 Mustang. Rich Freeman became aware of it when I ran into him at a local restaurant & he suggested I stop at the dealership so Dan Peckham could see the problem. I did & he involved Ben Perri who most graciously offered to resolve the problem for me without any problem!! One of their vendors, Brad Shugart ( The Wheel Dr) did an outstanding job refinishing all 4 of my wheels at Matthews Currie expense! I first bought a preowned Caddy there in the 70's & have dealt with the dealership a number of times over the years with great satisfaction! Numerous friends & acquaintances I've referred there have all had a very positive experience there as well.

I found this dealership on cars.com while searching for a used Nissan 370Z. They had one in stock, but this is a Ford dealer, so I was not sure what to expect. I contacted them to see if the car was still in stock, I received a courteous response very promptly to my email, and went to see the car the same day. I worked with Chad Westrick, who was friendly, polite, professional and made sure that everything went smoothly and quickly, even though he was working with multiple customers at the same time. The overall sales process was very straight forward and low pressure. The finance manager was very knowledgeable, and answered all of my MANY questions about the terms of the loan, etc. I needed a new license plate, and that was all taken care of on the spot, saving me a trip to the DMV. I was given an I OWE YOU for some torn trunk weather stripping, and Chad made sure this was taken care of as well. He followed up via email once the part was in, and even though the service department was closed that Sautrday, they had someone come in and make the repair, and that took less than 20 minutes, and again, the service was nothing short of amazing. Overall, the almosphere of the dealership is relaxed and doesn't make you feel like you might be getting taken advantage of. This is the type of place you want to do business with. It was well worth the hour long drive each way.

Contacted dealer through cars.com and advised shopping for a Nissan Murano, requesting the carfax. Sales rep sent auto search after several requests. I asked about price negotiation and advised another dealer had a comparable car for $16K. Sales rep stated that "that car has been in a front end collision and has had extensive damage". Rep had no idea what car or dealer I was referring to and when I questioned him, he said "lol...okay, we can negotiate price." When I arrived at the dealership, I stated I did not want to work with that specific rep because he lied to me. I was given another rep who brought the car around. It looked like crap, was absolutely filthy inside with melted candy on the floor, blue paint on the carpeting, the mats were turned over because of rust stains, etc, and there was damage to the rear door from a side-swipe. No apology was made and no effort to even sell the car was made. Poor customer service every step of the way.

I've been coming to Matthews-Currie Ford since owning my 2004 Ford Expedition. I am a busy Mom with little time to spare. With two sons involved in sports and other activities and attending schools 30 miles apart, my unofficial job is "taxi-cab driver!" My vehicle has 186,000 miles on it. I appreciate the consistency in the service department. Brenda Nemer has always been my service representative. She knows me and my vehicle when I call her about a service question. She makes it a priority to get me in and out of the dealership quickly. On those few occasions when my vehicle was needed for an extended period of time, Brenda provided me with a ride home or a rental vehicle if my vehicle was not available to me overnight. I appreciate that she recommends services when I need them and knows that cost of servicing is a concern. I truly value her knowledge, expertise and opinion. I think she is honest with me and understands that all of us are concerned with receiving value for our money. I would highly recommend the service department of Matthews-Currie Ford because of the quality of its service personnel, like Brenda Nemer.

We bought a new Ford Fiesta from Matthews-Currie Ford in Nokomis. The experience was unique for a Ford Dealership and very positive. Chad Westrick helped us during the process and made a huge difference by finding the car we wanted and putting the deal together with a fair price and great delivery. We handled most of the transaction thru emails, texts and phone calls and ultimately drove away with a no-suprise deal that was good for everyone. I highly recommend this dealership and Chad Westrick.

Upon picking-up my truck. I forgot my wallet in the transfer vehicle. On the way home, I ran out of fuel on I-75. I called Brenda, because I thought there was a problem with the service. And, I was WRONG. The truck needed fuel. Brenda sent a service-tech w/fuel just to make sure it wasn't the service. She saved my day & a couple of hundred bucks in towing. Brenda is AWESOME! Frank

Did not insult me on my high mileage trade, no pressure, easy to deal with will be buying from them exclusively from now on. Financing was easy, no BS and we are very happy with the whole experience.

She always gets me in on time and out as quick as possible. She does this in a way that makes me feel that I am the most important customer of her day.When it comes time for me to purchase a new car, I will definitely shop at Mathews Currie, just because of my favorable experience in their service department.

I ended up here unexpectedly on my way from Tampa to Miami on a late Friday afternoon for urgent repairs. Brenda was kind enough to get me checked in immediately and Randy serviced my vehicle only to find that the dealership I had just been to 2 weeks prior for major repair had forgotten some minor details which could have resulted in very serious problems. They were responsive, curteous, professional and cautiously repaired my vehicle thoroughly so I could return to the road safely without apprehension. I highly recommend the service department here for any repair to be done completely, correctly and efficiently. What a great team!

Started with Paul Racean Sales Consultant about a used vehicle and applied for financing. Asked for and received copy of carfax, but ask for more pictures of the vehicle as I wanted to see condition of it before driving an hour to the dealership. Never received any photo's. In fact after more than a week after asking no photo's have been posted on their site either. Again after several days asked for status of my application for financing and again asked for photo's of the vehicle. Received email from Pamela Wall Business Development Manager stating " I do apologize for this. I will have Paul contact you asap about the financing and pictures as soon as possible " After another day I asked why no response from them and got no response from either one of them. I sent email to Ed Bielen Dealer Principal sending him a copy of my total interaction with his dealership and after 3 days have had no response from him either. I purchased the same year model vehicle with same color from another dealer and I'm very happy with that experience. I have bought cars in four states and two countries outside of USA and would have to say that this dealership gave me the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. I would recommend that nobody from any location have any dealings with this dealership by internet, phone or in person. STAY FAR AWAY!

Matthews Currie has provided me with great service since I became a Ford owner in 2007. Brenda Nemer does a great job of scheduling and my appointments assure timely service which is delivered in a friendly and efficient manner. I have never had an occasion to return the car due to work not properly done or the introduction of an unrelated problem. This was not my experience when I owned Cadillac and had to return it to the Cadillac Dealer a number of times to correct service related problems. The checklist used by Matthew Currie is very complete and Brenda ( the service adviser ) give assurance that the service has been completed and briefs me regarding status and any issues which need attention. I leave Matthews Currie with confidence that the car is ready to go.

Brenda always greets me by my name with a smile. She asks what I need or what is wrong with my truck. While processing my service order she looks at the computer and suggests work that is either needed or will be needed soon, this saves me time so I can get the work done while I am there instead of making another trip in a week or two. Brenda knows her product which in my case is a Ford F-350. I am asked if I am waiting or need a ride home, which is provided. I usually wait and wander around the property, when my truck is done Brenda will locate me either in person or by my cell phone. There is another Ford dealership which is much closer to my home, but I much prefer going down to Matthews Currie. I have never had to go back to have the same item "re-fixed", if I have a question about the work done she will call the mechanic in so it can be clarified. The price dosen't matter although Brenda always makes sure I get any available discounts, because they do it right the first time.

our last three ford explorers have been purchased from ken at mathews-currie.we are treated like family and would never think of going anywhere else. when we go for service ken and dan always greet us by name and make sure we are taken care of.the service has been great and if it is going to take any length of time (ordering parts,etc) dan makes a vehicle available to us so we don't have to sit and wait.all of this explains why our last three vehicles have been purchased from this dealer.

I have been having my two Ford vehicles serviced at Matthews-Currie for a couple of years now. Everything has always been done correctly. When there has been a mechanical issue they have taken me to the car and shown me exactly what the problem is and explained in detail what needs to be done. Also Maryann has been a pleasure to deal with.The Owner Advantage Rewards program is also a nice touch.

In Dealing with Matthews-Currie Ford I, have found them to be very professional in there Service dept. I have Trucks from the F-550 to the Ranger pick-up in our service fleet. And when a truck goes down and is out of service we loose money. We send all of our Vehicles to Matthews-currie ford, For there Fast repair time and there ability to get the job done right the first time. Our company travels all over the state of Florida, and when a Vehicle has a problem we sometime have to use other Repair centers but we never recieve the great service that we have come to know dealing with John and the guy's at Matthews-Currie Ford. I brought my car in for a routine oil change because I saw a great special Matthews-Currie was offering. While waiting for the vehicle to be completed, I was advised by the manager John that I had some serious work to be done (other than the oil change). The first thought in my mind was that this guy is going to scam me. Everyone gets the "you need to upgrade blah blah blah" lecture, but John wanted to actually show me exactly what I was dealing with. Apparently, my brake pads were close to zero and could cause a serious problem. I got to actually see my brake pads and what they SHOULD look like. The visual spoke for itself and I am grateful that John and his crew did me a great service. I will definitely be back for all my services and buying new cars in the future.

Everything was exceptional, from the attention they gave my specific needs, their available inventory, the price we agreed upon, the assistance with financing, the value of my trade in, and much more. I will buy from them again and I strongly suggest everyone does the same. I was treated with respect, dealt with fairly, and all of my requests were met. PLUS! I purchased the tire insurance they offer and within the first month of owning the vehicle I already had a screw in my tire. The service department was wonderful as well!! All around, Matthews Currie is the best of the best!

From comparsion to other dealships I went to they were the must helpful and I felt like they would go out of their way for any question or concenrns that i had. Brought vehicle in for minor repair. Was charged $604.00. $386 was for labor. Labor included shop supplies (???) of $34.00 when there weren't any shop replies. Was told that the $89.99 "diagnostic" fee would be waived if the vehicle was fixed there. Oh, no Ms. Nemer tells us that will be tacked onto to the labor fee as well. The part was $140.00. Ms. Nemer told me that the total cost was $560.00 but did not itemize the costs over the phone. Oh, and when I walked in to pay the bill, she FORGOT to tell me that the taxes were "extra" which totaled $39.55. When we called other dealers in the area, they quoted us a price of $300- TOTAL. I called the service manager 3 times and Ms. Nemer but they would not call me back. My son even went there to question the charges and they pretty much told him to get lost. P.S. the service managers get paid a percentage of the repairs. So, the more you pay, the more THEY make!!!Being that I am a woman, they took advantage of me. DO NOT USE THIS DEALER FOR ANYTHING. THEY DO SUCK AND A LOT MORE!!!!

This company is awful. We bought a used car & paid extra at the time of purchase to get cruise control installed. We made several calls to the salesman to find out when we could bring the car in to have the cruise control installed and were told that they would call back with an appt and never received a call back. 3MONTHS LATER After several more calls to the salesman and to the manager we finally got it installed only to drive it out of the lot and find that it doesn't work. What the hell is wrong with these people? Taking the car back, getting the cruise control out of it, getting money back. They have lost a customer for ever. I will make sure to mention this story to everyone I know too. This place sucks, bottom line.
