Very pleasant experience with McCarthy Chevrolet. Anthony took care of any and all questions I had about my vehicle purchase and really went the extra mile to stay in contact throughout the process even though I lived 200 miles from the dealership, really appreciate the extra effort! Ethan took care of the financing side and was able to secure better loan options that I originally expected, took a little extra time (like 20 minutes) but well worth it. Both a huge asset to this dealership. Would not hesitate to refer any friends or family to them. Thank you all for your help with my vehicle purchase!

Had a great experience at McCarthy working with Peter, he had been helping me for about a week and we finally picked a truck after looking at a couple others. Peter was really laid back and easy to deal with, helped us look at different options and what would work best with our budget. No hassle at all, normally buying a car is stressful but this experience was outstanding. We'll definitely be back the next time we are in the market. Anyone looking for a vehicle in the greater KC area should definitely check them out and ask for Peter!

Bought my vehicle there many years ago and have been seeing the service department. My service department representative Ken has been amazing. The problem I have is every time that I get a simple oil change. I was instructed that there was to be an alignment check. I have yet to see a check. But my main problems lie after I get my oil changed. Done within a timely manner. But I feel it can be if you skip steps. My vehicle leaves the shop and service tire light comes on. I checked my tires one is very low at 22 lb. The others are just where they were when I brought them in. It makes you wonder what else hasn't been done. I have tried to voice my concern before but the manager Rodney seems just to put me by the wayside and say words that he thinks will comfort me. I'm not asking for something free. I could go to Walmart though and get an oil change at half the price but I trust the dealer, but now should i?

Laurynn is truly remarkable. She made us feel like the most important customers in the world, she walked us through every step right into my dream vehicle. I really think she was just as happy and emotional as me when we finalized the deal!!! She was always prompt in her responses to ANY questions I had. I hope she is still around when we decide it's time for another vehicle. She made this whole experience magical.

Called first to talk to parts depart to see if they had the part in stock in case I needed to replace. Parts guys was nice. He suggested to bring my battery in to get checked by service then they can recommend replacement for sure. I followed this direction. My husband & I showed up and went to service as instructed. We walked in and I noticed food had been delivered and everyone was getting their plates and eating. We asked about getting the battery tested and they told us to go to parts. I said we were told to come here first. There were about 6 guys sitting behind their desk eating and they all looked at each other like whose wants to help. One guy said immediately that battery is out of warranty. We didn’t say anything about a warranty, we just need it tested. Then someone said snarky, we’ll get someone to test it. While waiting, someone else made an appointment for an oil change and they told that customer we don’t do oil changes during lunch hour & told him to make an appointment. This customer said i did do the appointment online and this is the time it provided. WOW is this McCarthy’s face to their customers? Finally someone showed up to test our battery and immediately said you have bad battery, it needs to be replaced. My husband was trying to ask questions and this guy wasn’t listening. WOW McCarthy, you need to put your service dept back through customer service training. There is enough negativity in the world and your team doesn’t need to add to it.

We purchased a Used Vehicle from McCarthy for a very fair price. Unfortunately, the vehicle began to have a vibration on our drive home that had not shown up during the test drive. Since we live over an hour from McCarthy Chevrolet and it was late in the evening, I finished my drive home and called them the next morning. They were nothing but helpful in getting my vehicle serviced to improve the problem, sent me home in a loaner vehicle, and pushed my vehicle to the front of the line to prevent me from further inconvenience. Unfortunately, the vehicle had an issue that wasn't going to be a simple fix, and that wasn't something that would work for me. I needed to get into a vehicle immediately so I could get back to my work/family schedule. Jordan Knoll was our sales person and Blake was the sales manager who helped us undo our transaction. McCarthy did everything they could to help us, and when they weren't able to get us into the vehicle we had originally purchased, they immediately gave us our full refund without any hassle. (Not going to lie, I definitely expected to have some hassle, and was VERY relieved at how helpful and gracious they were.)

Sales representative Joa was very respectful and courteous during the entire process of purchasing our new car. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable with regards to all of the vechicle's electronic components. He was able to answer all of our questions we had and we would rate our overall experience as excellent.

I purchased a 2008 Pontiac G6 in mid April 2016. Well 900 miles and less than 2 months later the check engine light came on. So I took it to be looked at because I bought a service plan for it. It was in their shop 7 weeks and after none of their technicians and their GM specialist could figure out what was wrong with it they told me that the warranty company was no longer going to authorize any more money for the repairs. I bought this car for my daughter so I asked them what are we going to do now? You have my vehicle that I'm paying for and insuring and I don't even have it and it can't be fixed. So I had a meeting with a Mr. Speiks and he tried to talk me into taking the car back saying it drives fine it's just the check engine light won't go off. ARE YOU SERIOUS! So after going back and forth with him he said so what do you want us to do? I said I want you to make this right. Either get me into something else of equal or lesser value by rolling over the loan or take the car back and let me out of the loan so I can go get my daughter a car that drives and is safe. So then Blake Fanning the GM called me to work something out and I gave him some cars that I would be interested in. Well now 3 more weeks later he won't even return my phone calls. I guess they figure they have my car and my name on a loan so they got their money. It's going on 11 weeks and I still can't get this resolved. I am going to send the owner Ryan Mcarthy an email explaining my situation and hope he can help me with the pitiful service and lack of professionalism that's going on here. Plus I am filing a complaint with corporate.

Took my car in for a oil change , got my new car back with dented quarter panel . Manager told me they would take care of the dent . I got the car back from Mcarthy Collisiion center, only to find the damage was fixed sub par. They fixed it again and again, still could not get it right . I talked to the owner and traded the car in for a new 2016. Ryan was helpful and took care of me . Last week I had a car accident and had my car towed to Mcarthy . Ten days go by and I get a call from Josh stating they won't work on my car because of prior circumstances. Hey, tell me before ten days that you won't work on it and don't blame me because of your shops inadequate repairs. Remember your slogan, ( Better Than New ). I have three Camaros and will never spend a dime with Mcarthy again.

Buying a vehicle is alway a long process, but our sales rep. Siam, was very patient, helpful and honest. He never seemed frustrated or In a hurry to get through the process. We hadn't made up our mind on a vehicle and ended up taken a completely different turn and bought a 2016. Through this, Siam was incredibly patient & helpful. We appreciate all his time and efforts in helping us find the perfect vehicle for us! Thank you!At purchasing Chad was to the point, friendly and honest. Even though it was the end of the day on a Saturday he took his time and talked us through the entire process - we fully appreciate because we got to drive out vehicle home that day :)

I have purchased many cars over the years and I have never had such a horrible experience at this dealership. First, we drove 45 minutes to look at the car I was looking for. Upon arrival, the car was not available to drive and I wasn't even allowed to look at it!!! We were given the run-around from the time we arrived and after 2 hrs., they expected me to make a deal on this "phantom" car. After reviewing the "deal" they had written up, we realized the conveniently added a whopping $1,000 down payment, out of our pockets, to make the selling price look better!!!!!! I never told them I was putting a down payment on the vehicle (the one I was never able to see) nor did they offer that little tid bit of information...............They had the car I was really wanting but after the treatment I received, I wouldn't purchase anything from them, no matter how great the "deal". We ended up at a different dealership the next night and we were treated wonderfully. In less than 2 hrs. I was driving home in my new car!

After having several bad experiences elsewhere, I came to Scott at McCarthy Chevorlet a couple years ago. Each of my experiences with him have exceeded my expectations. Whether it's an oil change or something more serious going on with my car, I can always count on Scott to keep me informed regularly when my car was being serviced, to share with me all of my options and to give his honest recommendation. Many times he has gone above and beyond to make sure that I'm doing is right for me financially and for my car. I recommend Scott to anyone in need of great service!

I would never purchase a car from McCarthy Chevrolet again. I purchased a 2015 Chevy Cruze which I quickly realized was not the car for me. I purchased it on 7/25/15 and the MSRP was $25685. On 9/5/15 when I went to trade the vehicle in (1876 miles) at another dealership I was told my vehicle was only worth $14000. I never in a million years thought that a vehicle could loose 45% of its value in less than 60 days. So I took it back to McCarthy's to see what they would offer. I was told by Tim Gibson, sales manager, he would give me $17000 if I purchased another vehicle at their dealership. I did not want any vehicles that they had nor could I afford anything since I just lost 32% on this vehicle with his offer. Finally, I found a vehicle at Olathe Kia that I was happy with and could afford so I contacted Tim Gibson again to see if the dealership would purchase my car back for the $17000 that he quoted. He said "No". He would purchase my car for $16500 and I would have to deal with the state of KS to get a refund of my sales tax paid on the original purchase. Kia called Tim to see if the dealership would do a bid buy transfer for the $16500 so I wouldn't lose my sales tax credit and he said "NO" he would only give $15500. So I called Tim directly and was told he would not help another dealership make a sale and would only give $15500. I explained in tears that he would be helping me not the Olathe Kia dealership and again was told to take it or leave it. So in closing I can't thank the Olathe Kia dealership enough for all there help in this vehicle transaction. I did not want anything more to do with the McCarthy dealership or Tim Gibson so we took the $15500. Tim Gibson if you read this post, I don't know how you sleep with yourself at night. You must enjoy taking advantage of hard working Americans on a limited budget. Yes I made a mistake going from a SUV to a car and knew I would lose a couple thousand dollars trading the vehicle in shortly after buying it but I never thought I would be completely taken advantage of. Lastly, since I used my neighbors GM Friends and Family Discount to make the original purchase and still lost money I want all the GM employees to know how little the dealerships think of the value of your vehicles. So much for buying American made vehicles. Lesson learn at a high cost.

I live in Lubbock Texas. I found a car online and worked out the details over the phone. I rented a car and drove 700 miles to pick up the car up in Olathe Kansas Where the dealership was located . After all the paper work was done and we drove off the car had and electrical problem that caused the gas gauge to show empty when you fill the gas tank up. Since this was a use car they never fill the gas tank up so this problem went unnoticed . At this point is where you find out if you are dealing with a credible car dealer that cares or just one that is interested in the numbers only. We had completed the deal and this problem came up. The repair was going to cost $1100 since they had to pull the rear end out to get the gas tank out to replace the part, very labor intensive. Also the parts would have to be ordered so the repair would take several days to complete, but we could no wait since we had to get back to our jobs in Texas on Monday. So at this point I was very upset so they let me out of the car deal and I rented a car a second time to drive back home. Now they did not have to do that since I had already completed the paperwork and the deal was done and we had driven off. But they did just to make it right. Think about that, how many car dealerships do you think would do this. Also I was from out of state and the odds of me ever buying a car from them again will very slim. so this in itself is very impressive. Once the owner of the company found out what had happened they called me and offered to fix the car at no extra charge and also discounted the price of the car to make up for my out of pocket cost to rent a car for a second time and hotel expenses a second time. And if that where not enough my salesman (Carl) offered to drive the car half way to me on the next Sunday so I didn't have to come as far. So we took the deal and Carl and his wife took a Sunday out of their life to deliver the car to me in Oklahoma City the next Sunday. Now if that is not customer service and customer care I don't know what is. Thank you Carl and McCarthy Coverlet for being so honest and caring and making it right. Mike WilliamsLubbock Texas

I buy a car with a warranty and these people can't even perform an oil change properly. I have had the car for three months and the Check Oil Level light came on. Upon inspection I found a that the car was 3 quarts low on oil! I looked under the vehicle and saw no leaks, weeps or seeps whatsoever. So, I had a friend drive the car while I followed in another. No smoke came out of the vehicle and the engine is performing just fine. I added the additional 3 quarts as to not burn up the motor until I could get to the dealership to have it looked at. I called and spoke to the newly appointed Pre-Owned Manager who said he would get me back to service to have them take a look at the vehicle (which essentially is a way for him to get rid of an irate customer that has a good and 100% valid point). He sends me back to the service department and I tell them about the oil level issue. They decided that I was an idiot, I guess, so they decided to write it up as "car is using oil, customer states" which I NEVER stated. Also, the TPMS system kept showing the left front sensor dropping out so I wanted them to look at that as well. The next day I get a call saying that they couldn't find any leaks (it's nice to know these guys waste their technicians time looking at things that are 100% obvious to anyone) and my TPMS system is 100%! There was apparently a recall on the Oil Pan gasket that was ISSUED BY GM, that the "warranty company isn't going to cover". When I asked of the condition of the engine he couldn't tell me anything because the technician had not done what I asked because the service writer decided I didn't know what my car was doing so he wrote it up completely wrong. Today I get in my car to go to work (One day after I pick up the car) and the AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON along with the TPMS that has now mover from the left front to the right front (It has a bad sensor, but that would require them fixing something and admitting they were wrong) So now, I get to live with an Air bag light, a mystery engine that may or may not fail due to the negligence of a technician that did not perform an oil chance and an incompetent service writer who did not hear what I asked them to do and decided to make his own decision on what MY car is doing. This place is a joke. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy stop at that place to take a leak. I guess I will have to go to a real dealership that has some integrity to check out my engine to ensure no damage has been done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, unless you like being jerked around and treated like an idiot by people who don't listen.

Had to put one star but would have put none if I could ----Have 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt which is under2 recalls and 3 watch lists.....made an appointment to fix ignition recall. Told parts in stock....Last Friday took call in --- after waiting in waiting room for 1 hour was told they did not have the parts and would call me when they came in. So after, still counting 15 deaths associated with these recalls McCarthy Chevrolet told me to drive it home and they would call me!!!!! Tried to contract Ryan McCarthy with no response. Only saving grace is if I am in an accident and become the 16th person my wife would be a very rich widow.......be very careful when choosing auto company and dealer who protects it customers......

I have never been so disrespected by a dealership in all of my car buying experiences! I have been looking for a specific vehicle for a while and spoke with this dealership several times as they were keeping an eye out for what I was looking for. I got the call they had several just come in and wanted me to come look at the vehicles the next day. After going over everything on the phone to make sure everything was within my criteria , I set up an appointment to take a look. Literally I talked to Joe that evening and would be in the following afternoon. After making arrangements with work & kids I go up there and end up waiting, just to be told they didn't have those vehicles at all! Joe then tried to sell me one that was almost 10k over my budget and a totally different vehicle! This dealership is a joke and they have no respect for their customers. I will never ever do business with this dealership nor would I ever recommend them to my worst enemy!

Terry Foglesong is the person that I WAS working with, as I am looking for a particular car. I submitted and have gotten an approval for a loan. I've asked what company has approved me, BECAUSE there are shady lenders out there, and as of now they have failed to provide this information. I've left my phone number to have a call back, no return calls. I've called and spoken to Terry, and got the answer of "I lost your number". Really, it's on the credit app. I get, "I will call you back in 5 minutes", 35 minutes later, I call and he tells me that, "Oh, we've been really busy". Apparently, my business isn't wanted by MCCARTHY CHEVROLET!

I've come to McCarthy Chevrolet for several years to get my oil changes. Larry Miller has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to provide great customer service to me. On this particular visit on 5/30/15, Scott Bremer lacked any kind of good customer service. In fact, I felt unwelcomed and not valued as a customer immediately upon meeting Scott. If I wasn't in desperate need of an oil change I would've left right then. First, Scott informed me it was end of month and that my oil change would take 2-3 hours. He also inquired if I was in the right place, since many people make that mistake when they bring in a Hyundai to get serviced. I told him that I usually come to Larry and have been coming here for years thinking this would cause him to act a bit more friendly towards me. But, no it did not. I received a basic oil change with no multi-point inspection, which I count on to keep myself aware of what needs to be done in the near future. I thought these were done automatically without requesting. Scott was also too busy to bring me my bill once my car was finished so the cashier came and got me from the customer lounge. It would've been nice to receive an apology for the way I was treated and a "Thank You" for my service and continuing to come to McCarthy. I received neither. Thanks to the way I was treated by Scott I will rethink using McCarthy in the future for any of my auto needs. Rebecca G.

Over the years our car buying experience hasn't been very good. You name the scam, and we've been a part of it. When my husband stopped at McCarthy, I thought "oh know here we go again." Terry Fogelsong greeted my husband. I think he knew I wasn't comfortable. He said give me a chance and I will change your car buying experience. How refreshing to know there are car dealerships that put their customers first. Terry was right. He changed our experience and also changed who we buy our vehicles from in the future. Thank you for treating us like we matter. Thank you for going the extra mile. We look forward to working with Terry in the future!

Do not buy a car from these people. Our salesman sold us a used minivan in August of 2013, told us this car was "CLEAN" in terms of accidents and 1 owner. I have had over $10,000 in repair fees since then. I went to go trade this LEMON in and found out that the car has had in 4 owners before I purchased it. Tom Hardin was my salesperson. Buyer Beware.

I bought a vehicle from McCarthy Chevrolet with Marc Carpinelli. He was very prompt and went above and beyond during the entire process. I drove 250 miles to purchase this car so, needless to say I asked a lot of questions and was very skeptical. Marc was able to describe the car and send many photos as requested. His communication was excellent. He researched additional information from the vehicles owner and sent it to me immediately. I am pleased with the car and the transaction as a whole. The only negative would be the amount of time I had to wait to finalize the paperwork. I think it sat on someones desk for a while before we were able to get it wrapped up.

I went on the lot to shop, salesmen left me be until I got close to the window (which I appreciate.) I personally don't like being swarmed until I have a chance to browse the lot. Carl helped me out and went through inventory to find a vehicle I liked that met my needs within my budget. I chose a vehicle they had not yet fully serviced that I saw on the lot. In order to get the vehicle on the budget they had to do a lot of phone calling and leg work with creditors since my credit wasn't the greatest. I negotiated the price and the negotiation process was above average. Amount offered for my trade was on par with the last 5 dealerships I had shopped. Carl worked with me to service all defects I found with the vehicle without jacking up the price and provided a free rental vehicle paid fuel for the duration. Carl was a very laid back easy to get along with salesman and communicated with service staff on my behalf to get everything done on my budget. Carls the guy to see and mccarthy is the place to shop.

This is the only dealership I've provided with repeat business, and that's all because of Jamie Sr. in sales and Ken Archambeau in service. Its not possible to be in this business as long as they have without having done something right, and it shows. I met Molly during my most recent purchase and she's just as high-caliber a person as I would have expected after having worked with Jamie Sr. and Ken. Molly made a very complicated process quick and easy to understand. When its time to purchase my next vehicle, I'll return to McCarthy Chevrolet again, and once again I'll ask to work with Jamie Sr and Molly. I've worked with Ken for my routine maintenance for the past four years, and every time I come in for service, I know I'll be treated kindly and fairly by him. This is an amazing, honest, fair team of people who care about customer satisfaction. You'll continue to have my business as well as continued referrals to my family and friends.

It was a wonderful experience and yes it made me cry tears of joy. You want someone who will take every aspect of the car buying serious yet enjoyable go see Marc.

I was quoted a price by Andrew Harrigan on a 2013 White Jeep with new white top, out the door and delivered to my door 28,800, still have it in writing. As we are trying to finalized the deal 3 days later he realizes he made a 2500 mistake and now the Jeep is 31,700 which knocked it out of my budget range. Talked with Joe Balsamo, GM and he said although his people made a mistake he is not willing to take the lost. After talking with him, I could immediately tell that he was not willing to work for his customers by his tone. Usually a business of this size when they make a mistake they take ownership of it and write it off as a lost. Not McCarthy Chevrolet it is all about them making the money, lying to potential customers, So overall experience I will continue telling folks about these crooks until Justice is served. James

We purchased a used car from McCarthy in March 2014. Our sales representative was very nice and informative. We applied for financing. We were told our credit would get pulled once and the sent to various lenders to find the right one. Our credit had 11 hard inquiries from this experience. Made a debt in our credit score that we are paying for now. I am very disappointed. If I had known I would have bought my car elsewhere. Will not return.

I bought 2 cars a Cadillac an Acura, I was paying cash for mine and my daughter was trading hers off. For starters they ran a credit check on me and I was not financing. Took two days to complete the transaction. (we live 4 hours from Olathe). We left believing that Jamie would stand by his work and get an extra key, manual and floor mats for the Cadillac. I had to return to Olathe a month later to pick up the Acura (someone rear ended me as I left McCarthy lot) I had called and emailed Jamie and he assured me that he would have the item promised for the Cadillac. I picked up the Acura at the body shop and headed to the show room where Jamie met me outside and told me he had already pu the items in the mail. So I headed back home. Week went by and I called Jamie he would not return my calls or respond to email so I called the manager and I pretty much got the same response. another week went by and I have called everyone I could finally someone called me back (now its been two months) I explained again what was going on but now we had not recieved the title to the Cadillac, we did finally receive everything except the manual (Im sure we will never see that) however the title arrived 2 days before the temp expired. SO NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP, ONCE THE PAPERWORK IS DONE THEY ARE DONE WITH YOU. SHAME ON YOU MCCARTHY CHEVROLET Andrea Chandler Ehrlich

Bought a 2009 Mazda 3 (47k) on Dec. 13th 2013. Car was great but the AC was inop. in 2nd week of ownership. Brought it back and took care of refilling the refrigerant. About another month and the ac stopped working fogging the inside pretty bad. Called in to Marc and mentioned to look at it again. Verbatim, he asked if I was "smoking dope". Said "It's a used car, I'm not doing anything for you. Good luck." So in short telling me that we got your money and get lost. I called and spoke to the manager same day and never returned a call as promised! Note: Marc really didn't seemed enthusiastic about his job. I emailed the internet team regarding a 2013 Honda Accord they had listed online. I knew it was exactly what I wanted and they worked with me on price via email. I didn't want to go into the dealership until we had worked out a price because I had a very bad experience with high pressure sales the weekend before at Jay Wolfe Honda. I came in, test drove the car and proceeded with the paperwork. There was absolutely zero pressure from Carl to buy, which I really appreciated. He was also very patient with me. I was actually not fully prepared with the paperwork on my trade but they were very flexible at getting the deal squared away. The process was pretty seamless and I left with the car that night.

The good - Got the car that I wanted in my price range. The sales person (Dan Wool-something) was nice, not pushy, & answered the phone when I called with follow-up questions after the test drive. Juan in finance was patient when discussing extended warranties. The not-so-good - There wasn't much wiggle room on the price. Upon arriving to finalize the actual purchase of the car, we had to wait an hour to speak with the folks in finance (only one poor guy there to handle the whole process for every customer, so not blaming him). Other - So far it's only my first day with the car but it hasn't fallen to pieces. There are still a few loose ends to tie up. For instance, I have yet to receive all my materials in the mail (title and what-not), and I plan on requesting copies of additional materials, so I will follow-up on this review pending receipt (or lack of) those items. Overall - Pleased with the experience.

We bought a certified pre-owned 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ with 22,000 miles. When we purchased the financial employee stressed we buy an extended warranty because Chevrolet will not offer one and we would be hung out to dry if we did not. Now I know why. In two years of ownership I have spent over $1,000 in repairs to a car that has less than 40,000 miles on it and was allegedly certified as a quality car. We only received a three month warranty. The battery died at 6 months, both key remote died at 7 months, power switch that controls power locks went out at 10 months, rear locking mechanisms on both sides went out at 11 months, sun roof drain came apart at 14 months drenching the circuit board, front locking mechanisms on both sides went out at 16 months, and it in the shop again now. Sean at customer service said Chevrolet is not giving warranties out for much more than a year right now even on new cars because every bump in he road could bring about a problem and they are not in the business of predicting the future. I called Chevrolet's corporate office and they said it was not under warranty and also could not help. When I asked if they could do some repairs for free since they sold me the "certified" lemon I was told they have employees to pay and could not do that. So they make a product they refuse to stand behind as a company and the dealerships sell cars they certify as quality but also can't help when the car turns out to be a POS. Thanks for nothing.

i rated this dealership as bad for many reasons. the first being when i bought my car, they told me they would fix my rearview mirror when they got the part in and they would detail it then. after many attempts to call and many voicemails left, no one would return my calls. finally i complained to the manager and they got me connected with someone who did care. i got my car in to be fixed months after i bought it. they still did not detail it however. i was promised many things that did not happen so i just started going to another dealership. this place seemed once they got my money and i took the car they wanted nothing further to do with me. i will never again buy so much as a paper clip from this place. also the owners moron son decided to race my car through the bay like he was at the kansas speedway. i mentioned it to the finance manager and he simply said "thats the owners son, if he wrecks it he will just buy you another car". he clearly totally missed the point.

I applied online for a new Malibu...Within 5 minutes I had a call from Dan, at McCarthy Chevrolet...Wanting me to come in a "pick up" my car....I told him I would be in be a few days..He proceeded to call 2 more times that day which is Thursday, Friday 2 more calls in which i told Dan wasn't sure I could put down a lot of money he said your credit is excellent you don't need money down, I said what is the interest rate he told me 2.9% payment around $450.00. Monday I get an email from Shayne wanting to know if I am picking up my car??? Everything is ready just come in a sign...I sent back an email stating I am coming in today, went in a Salesperson Marc comes out to the parking lot, says Dan is inside he will get him, another man comes out and shuffles me inside, and tells me Dan is not here but, Tink will help you....Tink was like I don't know anything I am calling Dan to find out about you and what he had done...I waited...He came out..Apparently everything I had been told by Dan was a lie...They had not ran my credit had not got approval from the finance company, nothing...so Tink says i will get this going...He comes back with this Insane proposal $7000 down and 456.00 a month for a 27000 car..I said NO..I told him what Dan had said and about Shayne's email..I told Tink I am leaving...he says NO NO NO wait I will get someone...and he brings in Tim a finance man he says to me that he will get me in the Cruze with nothing down I said Ok then they tell me I need to purchase a Used car??? I believe people typically feel dealing with a car salesman is a negative experience due to the stereotypical "pushy" salesperson. Our experience with Marc and everyone at McCarthy Chevrolet was the exact opposite. They were friendly and very helpful without being overly aggressive. There was no rush. Marc took the time to go over every detail of the invoice, look at the different vehicle options, was ready for us when we came in, from our first visit to vehicle pickup it was a positive experience. We had originally contacted a dealership closer to home but they didn't have the colors in the model we wanted. They were supposed to search for the colors we were interested in, and this was a week ago today. We just received a call back from them this afternoon, a full week later. We were very glad we decided to not wait and go to McCarthy they had a great selection of what we wanted, it is so much better to view the vehicle in person than simply look at a picture.

In the process of searching for a used car, I came to this dealer to look at a Hyundai Sonata. The first salesperson assigned to me was a 19 year old man who was pleasant enough at first - but soon after we began to discuss price, he got frustrated with me, told me I "wasn't letting him do his job", and walked off. His manager returned and dealt with me for the rest of the time I was there. I'll mention that I remained calm for the entirety of my stay. I was actually appalled at how unprofessional the first representative was. The replacement, however, was a polished, experienced, schmoozy salesman who was less frustrated, but still incredibly condescending. I'm a 23 year old man, and I realize I look like a relatively young guy, but I'm not about to be told that I "clearly have no idea what I'm doing", even if it's a part of a sales strategy. We were unable to arrive at an agreement on price before I left. The first call I got was from the first individual. I didn't actually receive the call - he left a message, which was only 2 seconds long, and contained him speaking over speakerphone (excessive ambient noise) saying "callmebackbye" that fast. I called back later, told him I didn't understand his message, but if he wanted to talk more about the car, he could call me at one of two numbers I provided. He called back again a week later and left a similar message. This phone tag went on for about 3 weeks at which point he stopped calling me back. A month later I got a call from his manager, the second guy, saying that he was still willing to talk to make a deal. I had already bought a car, but honestly I was so turned off by the unprofessional experience I had had. I elected to not return the call at all.

Several weeks ago, I noticed a gas odor coming from the rear of my Saturn Ion. Upon researching, I discovered that was a symptom of a fuel pump problem that was recalled by GM in 2010. I never received any notification of this recall. This dealer was the GM-recognized Saturn repair center following their closing of the Saturn brand. Naturally, I took my car to this dealer since it was a recall issue. When I explained this issue to Scott, I asked if there was a recall for this problem. He said "No.". I then provided him with the recall number. He looked up something on his computer and said I didn't qualify. I figured he probably didn't have any control over that, so I said I'd call GM and he said "You can try." My first sign of their lack of helpfulness. I called GM that day, received a case number and spoke to a very pleasant woman who seemed very interested in helping. She asked if I had the service advisor's direct number and I provided his desk phone and cell phone number. She put me on hold to call him. When she returned, she noted he did not answer either number but she left messages and would call me back the next day. When I picked up my car I asked Scott if he had talked to GM. He said he never received any calls or messages. Then just silence. No offer to call them, or try to help resolve the question. I asked if he would call her. "I'll try." was the response. Well, after a week of calls back and forth with GM, they finally were able to speak with someone in the service department and the dealer would not refund the charge. The reason, they stated, was because my car was over the milage limit for the recall. The only problem with that is that when the recall happened, I would have been under the limit. But I was never notified and if I had been, of course I would have had the part replaced. I am disappointed and disgusted with both this dealer and GM. The dealer tried to hide and avoid the issue, and GM was cowardly. The right thing to do would be to honor the recall because I was never notified. But they are using a false technicality to avoid responsibility. In reading various reviews of this dealership, I am now not surprised. If at all possible, I would avoid this dealer and I will do everything in my power to make sure that anybody I can warn about this dealer, I will. Shame on you, McCarthey Chevrolet.

I was broke down with family in town and needed some quick service. I called the service department and Scott answered and told me to come in. When arriving at the dealer I was confused on where to go and found the service people in a room. After standing by my car trying to figure out where to go and what to do, there was a young man that come over and told me that I needed to go into the room. I was greeted by a person that went out and got my car and came back in. After he tried to help me found Scott had set my appointment and escorted me to his desk. Scott was very nice and asked a lot of questions. They offered me a rid home with a nice man named Gary. Scott called 1 1/2 hours later and gave me the bad news on how much my car would cost to fix. They fixed it and Gary came and picked me up. I came back and visited Scott and he escorted me to the cashier and he went and got my car. I met him at the car where he smiled and wished me luck with my family. He was so polite and nice. I will do business again with him

I found the car online and it was exactly what I wanted. I am a 9 hour drive away, so I had Carl, who was excellent, tell me everything about the car over the phone. It was in excellent shape, so I flew out there. Carl was very gracious and picked me up (45 min drive). I checked out the car and it looked good, except needed to be washed and cleaned. After the car was washed, I noticed a scratch about 30 inches long on the passenger side. I showed Carl who let me know he could buff it out before I go, but the person who could do it was not there. Because it was getting late and I could buff it myself I left. Big mistake. I took it to 3 shops when i got home who told me that it would involve painting and could not be buffed out (fingernail caught when rubbed across. I have been back and forth with Carl on the phone who was trying to get approval to help me fix it. The dealership said "NO"; because it was already built into the price. HOW COULD IT BE BUILT INTO THE PRICE WHEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THEM!! After several weeks of trying to resolve the misconception that the dealership didn't even know about the scratches therefore could not be built into the price, I'm giving up. DO NOT BUY from this dealer if you are out of state!!!!! They are dishonest after you buy the car!!!!

I never had a more rude person (Greg the finance manager) to deal with. He spent more time worring about what his fellow workers were doing, left the room several times to check on what was going on in different parts of the dealership. Was on the phone trying to take care of a cash deal, rather than putting interset on the deal i was trying to make.. I have bought several cars and trucks from the Blue Springs dealerships, and was always treated like they were there to help the customer, sorry I can not say that about the McCarthy Cheverolet of Olathe. The salesman Tom Hardin was very kind, and helpful

I bought a used car about a week ago. After a little negotiating, the price was around where I wanted to be, but I waited a week to buy the car. During that week I talked with Jamie several times and he always answered my calls or called me back right away. When I went to pick up the car I arrived at McCarthy around 6:15 and did not leave until about 10:00 pm. After I had already signed all the papers I was told that they "could not find the key fobs or spare key." The car that I bought has remote start so the key fobs are very necessary. I was assured that it would not be a problem to get new fobs and Jamie even said that he would personally drive them to my house....what a lie! I have been trying for days to call Jamie and even Ryan McCarthy without any answer or return call. This is a GM Certified car that is supposed to have all its original parts. It's great how they can answer every call when you are interested in buying a car, but after they have your money it's unlikely that you will ever hear from them again!!!

After a horrible experience with Shawnee Mission Hyundai, McCarthys team was great to work with. Shawnee Mission sold the car I wanted, had another one coming in, the salesman said it was the same price, when I went to finalize, they raised the price! I went to McCarthy that night and drove home in a 2012 Cruze. They were great to work with!

Took my 2003 Saturn to McCarthy's on 11/15/2011 to repair the Heater/AC Fan which was inoperable. Originally they thought it was a problem with some Control Module 9.273 w/Estimate at $630. Further inspection resulted in a Blower Module resistor failure and Blower Module 9.215 replaced at around $400. Upon picking up the car, I noticed that a light on the panel(illumnated by the Control Module) showing the temperature was out, which was not out before. Apparently when they replaced the original Control Module, they jostled it enough to burn out the bulb. Complained to Shop Foremen and Service Manager and they installed a NEW Contol Module 9.273 at no cost to me. Excellent rapor with Service Manager and Service Advisor, Larry. Overall outstanding customer service.

I got a good car, but not really a bargain. Car had a few blemishes covered up by the dealer prep stuff & door handle broke just as I was leaving, luckily.

My husband (a "serial car-aholic") and I have been married over 20 years and have probably purchased nearly half as many vehicles during that time, and I can say (with ALL sincerity) that we have NEVER had a better car buying experience!! Jim (our salesman) must have "the patience of Job" because he gave up an entire afternoon, patiently allowing us to test drive and ask as many questions as we could think of ... Never pushing us or trying to force our hand/decision making process in ANY way! And Molly(the finance manager) ... well, there just aren't enough words to express how wonderful she was to work with!! She TRULY went WAY above and beyond to ensure we received the very best price, terms and interest rate possible! I know with ALL certainty that not only have they earned a repeat customer, but that both my husband and I will HIGHLY recommeend them to any and all looking to be treated fairly with kindness, respect, excellent customer service (which is SO severely lacking everywhere else these days) and the very best value dollar for dollar!! Thanks McCarthy! You are truly an example of what all car dealers should be!

If you want service after the sale DO NOT BUY here! There were several things that were supposed to happen and they haven't done any of them. One was an extra key phob, the other was a broken tail light. I call and call and even went in twice and sat for a few hours. We will NEVER buy here again.

Scott Bremer is the most rude, hateful person I have ever worked with at a dealership. My tires were supposed to be checked and rotated. Well, I had a nail in the front left tire. I noticed after I picked up my car - and paid for the tires to be rotated! - that the nail was still in the front left tire. I also missed a service appt and when I tried to schedule it again he wouldn't let me w/o leaving my car for a week while the part was ordered in. I understand I missed an appt so I said that was fine. When I suggested a date when I could leave my car for about a week he said thathe couldn't guarantee the part would be available and he wouldn't know until after I left it!!! I have never had a more unsatisfying and just plain rude conversation with anyone inmy life as what I had with Scott Bremer.

This is absolutely the worst place to shop for a car!! Let me start off by saying that they took over an hour to show me the car I had requested to test drive. Then after that they did not have the paperwork on the car and had to drive me over to the dealership next door. I decided not to buy the car because we could not meet on a fair price. THEN their sales guy called me twice telling me that I could buy the car for the price I offered. I drove all the way back to the dealership to make the deal only to hear that he had lied to me and wouldn't be able to go down on the price. The second time he went as far as to say, "Send me a check and we have a deal." This turned out to be a complete lie. When I talked to his manager, the owners son Ryan McCarthy, he went on to tell me that he would, "Talk to his employee." This place has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. They are dirty and will play games with you. I would advice to stay away from this dealership when shopping for a car.
